We came for class reunion. There was one way to I dont know her first name she worked appetizers and the buffet all by herself. The chef checked on things. The food was very good. We used two rooms and a bartender. Everything was fine. No complaints. We even had dessert and coffee in the hallway. Probably decided by the class but it was a late dinner. Other than that we totally enjoyed ourselves.
I stayed at this hotel from 7/29-8/1 and I just wanted to write this review to say that the waitress with the really long blonde hair did an amazing job serving us!! We had a very big group and we were constantly adding people to our tables. somehow she remembered everyone’s orders and she was really nice even though we made things more complicated for her. Get her a raise!
The Front desk personal was very attentive and cordial. This was so far one of the best room I have ever been. It has a coffee machine, refrigerator, desk, bathtub with whirlpool and separate shower. The bed was super comfortable and the sheets nicely soft. Will recommend this hotel to anyone.
I stayed here when I was having an electrical issue with my house. Getting to the front desk was a bit confusing and frustrating which is why I can’t give it 5 stars. Rooms were clean spotless, you can smell the clean. Everything was comfortable and relaxing. Would stay again and highly recommended.
I had a great two night stay here. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. I was able to take the free shuttle to and from the airport with no problems. My room was clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. This was honestly the best hotel stay Ive had in years.
From check in to check out, the stay was very good. There was no problem with the room, everything that I expected was there and in good order. I had snacks and drinks in the sports bar and despite being very busy, I was well attended to. Beer selection was very good and the appetizers were tasty. Breakfast the next morning was very good as was the service. Overall, a great stay.
I met up with friends at The Recovery Room Sports Bar that is in the lower level of the hotel. The food was good, the drinks great (very good beer selection.) The service was okay. The waiter didnt get the orders correct (leaving onions on, etc.) which wasnt a big deal. Mostly a good time and I definitely will be back.
Stayed for business - it was great. They offer a buffet style breakfast, which a chef available for made to order items - for $12. The shuttle is extremely convenient, took us multiple places - they just ask for a timely reservation. Free coffee in the AM, cucumber/orange infused water and fresh cookies in the PM. On site restaurant is a good choice for dinner, on site gym, and pool.
I recently stayed with my family at this location for a funeral. Although our room was adequate I was put off by the front desk staff. At any other hotel Ive ever stayed in I was greeted warmly and given a brief spiel about available amenities & directions to laundry rooms, the ice machines & the checkout procedure. The young lady at the desk never offered me any such information. She was curt, brief and came across unfriendly. After being on the premises for a while I realized my family was one of the only families of color staying at the hotel. Im hoping that was not the cause for how I was treated as we were met with stares and shocked expressions as we walked around the building. It does make me wonder if any other hotel-goers of color felt the same unwelcoming air about this place.Edit-Response to owner:Im not interested in speaking with anyone, but I would suggest recruiting diverse consumers to serve as secret guests at your hotel much like secret shoppers to see if my experience was isolated. Thank you for responding.
This was my third or fourth time staying at this hotel. Every time has gotten better than the last, and this time was no exception. The staff here is phenomenal the rooms are clean and the beds are extremely comfortable. I had a personal experience here that was well beyond expected. I had a meeting the next day and forgot my tie clip I casually mentioned this to the person at the front desk and without hesitation they took theirs off and offered it to me to be professional for the next following day! This goes well beyond anything you would expect from somebody working at a hotel, which proves their commitment to their customers. Excellent hotel, staff and service.
Nice hotel. I have stayed there twice. Clean and roomy in the handicapped accessible room. Beds and sheets are comfy. Coffee, fridge and microwave in the room. Towels were high quality. Has both pool and exercise room. Mid afternoon snacks available for free in the lobby. Coolies at checkin. Nice staff. Fire alarm went off during my second stay due to some students smoking in a nonsmoking room. The whole hotel is nonsmoking. Breakfast buffet costs, but is reasonable and good. Eggs, pancakes, omelets cooked to order.
Stayed here for a meeting. Staff was very courteous and accommodating. The breakfast buffet (including made to order omlettes) is well worth waking up for. The hotel served AM/PM snacks and a buffet lunch for us and everything was absolutely delicious! Great soups and entrees, the salad was always fresh. The meeting rooms are well equipped tech-wise and the chairs were extremely comfortable. I always look forward to staying here for work.
Plenty of parking and its free. There is a great restaurant attached as well. My room was very clean and very comfortable bed and pillows. It feels like this place is older but its so well kept. Nothing looked heavily worn and the elevators and hallways were kept clean and dented. Receptionist was very kind and explained all the amenities without rushing the process not dragging it out. It was a great stay and I will keep coming back here when Im in the area.
Its a somewhat new hotel, the room is well equipped with a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, a big flat screen TV, free cable and theres a heated indoor pool. The breakfast was one of the best Ive had at any hotel, and all the personnel was great. Ill gladly stay there when I visit again.
Loud work on the hotel rooms was being done at 8 oclock in the morning. Loud yelling and banging while the beds were being replaced. Upon complaint we were told oh well we didnt know this was happening today. Another event was taking place during check in on our first night. Parking was unavailable and a complete headache after having driven for 12 hours. No apology was given nor any sort of notice that either things were occurring during our visit. Very inconsiderate that they couldnt give us any sort of a warning. This was not what I expected from a Hilton. Very dissatisfied with the customer service. On the other hand the breakfast buffet staff and food was wonderful.
I arrived into Troy for business and I’m delighted to say that I actually enjoyed coming home , yes, home every evening to this hotel because of many reasons. My room was clean and spacious and everything worked. The staff were very positive, responsive and professional, not to mention helpful when I had to use the business center near reception. I was exhausted from traveling and I have to say that the night staff: Mike O’C and Patrick H ( I don’t know if it’s a good idea to write their last names) definitely deserve a bonus for their cheerful and very helpful style. Also a shout out to the GM, I think his name is John ( who helped me in the business center) , because of this and the great value, I’ll be back. And I would say this is the best place to stay in Troy!
We stayed here for my daughters wedding last weekend. Guests booked over 40 rooms and not one complaint! The rooms were great! All employees were friendly and attentive to questions! The suite the new couple stayed in was newly remolded and they were thrilled. Many of the rooms were recently remolded as well. Thank you Hilton Garden Inn!
Yesterday my family and I had a banquet in honor for our Aunt who passed away. The place was spotless to where you could eat off the floors. The bathrooms were clean, fully stocked and well maintained. It’s more than I can say for a lot of places. The service was beyond excellent. The food was amazing. We had Vegetable soup which I normally don’t eat tomato based broth soups, but this was good. There were potato chunks, mixed vegetables, eggplant parmigiana, a lemon chicken and the best pot roast I’ve ever eaten. Overall, I am highly impressed with the Hilton.
Great hotel, the customer service is terrific. Weve used this location several times for our organization. Always enjoy the atmosphere, rooms are clean and good. Very convenient having a good restaurant downstairs. And its not far to get pretty much anywhere from the hotel, easy access to the freeways.
Very good hotel, comfortable, quiet, clean, good service, very comfy beds, would definitely stay here again. Make sure to select breakfast online ahead of timd, it was only $10 for both of us vs. $11.95 per person if you buy it there. Breakfast was really good, fresh, variety of things (eggs, bacon, potatoes, pastries, toast, bagels, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, pancakes, French toast). Online I had requested a room on the highest floor, they placed us in such a room. However on arrival, my wife realized she would more prefer a room on the back side of the hotel (not on the main street), they changed it for us. Lovely lobby and breakfast area. Wish we had had more time to spend there instead of a quick stopover on a road trip.
Had a great stay for four nights over the week of my sisters wedding. Room was clean, love the little Keurig! Only issue is that they didnt seem to be impressed with us hanging the privacy sign out. First day I got a note under the door saying they were not able to service the room (yep, thats what I wanted). Second day, they actually took the sign off the door and slid it under, came in and serviced the room! I was not particularly enthused. Third day we left the sign off and were sleeping in, and they didnt knock they just tried to come in! Then when they noticed the latch was on they kept pushing the door open trying to get it to open all the way! If they wanted to service the room that badly they could have called me. It was very disruptive and the last day almost scary! I do want to say again that the rest of my stay was great. The last day my family and I were running around and made it to breakfast with 8 minutes to spare. The staff was SO NICE even though we were so late, and even joked with us and helped us get food. So beyond kind - and the food was good!
I chose this hotel mostly for its proximity to the Rensselaer polytechnic institute. I am quite satisfied with my choice as the hotel is very easy to reach, within walking distance to a few restaurants in downtown Troy and has very reasonable rates. The rooms are not the latest in term of decor, but are certainly very clean and spacious. The bathroom is nice, also clean, with a good shower. I will definitely consider this hotel again on my next trip to the area.
I attended an event in one of the libraries in the lower level. It was absolutely beautiful! The food was amazing and the staff were wonderful! There was plenty of room for dinner and dancing, as well as access to outside. There were very comfortable chairs outside too.
Nice place- beautiful building, but mostly, the staff is first class. All of the staff with whom I had interacted were so nice and professional. The best part though, is they bent over backwards to make sure that dietary needs were met- exceeded actually. Im gluten free and often get served a salad with chicken at the go to gluten free meal. So, imagine my surprise when they brought me gluten free bread and offered to make me a special meal. This was followed up with special crackers at a banquet meal, and signage noting which options were gluten free. For the first time, I felt like a valued customer that needed a special diet, not like a problem. Great job to everyone there. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling in the Troy area.
Not bad. I stayed here for business a few times. The rooms were clean and quiet with rates that were reasonable to maybe slightly overpriced (maybe). The staff at the counter were pleasant and they had free cookies and coffee. There is a restaurant downstairs that is a little over priced, but the food was decent and they have 1/2 off wings on Monday. I guess the only reason it shouldn’t get 5 stars is because it is in Troy, lol.
Had our wedding in the garden and the reception in the main ball room. Absolutely loved it!!! We couldnt have been happier with anything!!! April our event planner was exceptional, the staff outstanding! We have had so many friends and family compliment us on the it!!!
My statewide association CDPAANYS has used Hilton Garden Inn Troy to hold their annual conference for years for one main reason: They always provide excellent service and accommodations at a very competitive price. When I am not at the conference and need to travel to Albany, HGI Troy is always my choice.
Our stay at the hotel was very nice and check in was super easy. The rooms were very nice although we did have a leak in the roof and our coffee machine was broken. They had some snacks for us in the lobby at night and in the morning they served breakfast. The staff was very polite and made sure you had everything you needed.
Rooms are spacious but becoming dated. When there is an event in the ballroom you can hear it all the way to the 7th floor. Kitchen lost our room service order...waited well over an hour for 2 orders of boneless wings. Normally wouldnt care but after driving 3 hours and it being after 10 PM, we were hungry. Nice breakfast but little things missed. Halfway done before anyone asked for coffee. I asked for decaf and the girl disappeared. Pretty sure she couldnt find it so she moved on to something else and never bothered. No creamer at the table. Salt and pepper shakers empty. Its just a breakfast folks, you dont have to take orders...so hard to really screw it up.
I love this hotel. I had a great experience from check in to check out. Very friendly staff all round and the good is delicious. The wings at the sports bar (Recovery Sports Bar) especially. Be sure to use the pool and the gym. I love the fireplace on the lobby level. Highly recommended.
Attended a business event and was pleased with the level of service from the staff. One drawback was the wifi didnt work in my room. I reported it on my first night but they were not able to correct the issue I discovered. Since it was a short stay I tried not to make such a fuss over it. I tried again to inquire about it the next day and the the supervisor Michael came to my room to check the issue on my devices for himself, which I appreciated. He walked around the floor with my device and it was determined it was actually my room and not the hotel floor I was on that had the wifi issue. It was my last night there and since I was extremely patient about the situation he upgraded my room to a suite. I was grateful for his professionalism in the matter considering I was there for business. I would come back to this hotel because its spacious, for the most part very clean, and the decor is very nice. The food we had served fi is during our stay was very good and very fresh. Overall this was a great experience.
Absolutely wonderful! The HGI in Troy, NY has been our go-to location for corporate events, and we just concluded a 3 day meeting, and the entire experience was outstanding once again. The facilities are awesome, but the people are even better! Lisa in Sales was very accommodating with our itinerary and agenda, and she bent over backwards to handle a last minute change that we threw at her. Dan, the GM of the hotel, took time to make sure we had everything we needed when our session ran late, and all the staff had left for the evening. I cant say enough about how pleased we are each time we come here, and oh by the way, it is super reasonably priced to boot. Great job, well be back!
My room at this HGI was excellent. No, it was spectacular. Tip: Room 701. You wont ever want to leave it. Oh its more than a room - add a separate dining area with table for 8, living room with gas fireplace and very comfortable lounge chairs and couch covered in attractive brown leather, 3 flat screens, a well equipped kitchen with close to top of the line appliances, and a desk area of course. View is good too. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Dinner there (in adjacent Recovery Room) was very good as was the breakfast. Lobby sitting areas are very comfortable. I am trying to think of a single flaw. OK there werent free bottles of plain old water in my spectacular room. Just free cookies and flavored waters in lobby. Im told that theres free hot chocolate in the winter months also in the lobby. I have been to other ho hum HGIs. I challenge anyone to top this one in Troy. BTW parts of downtown Troy are now charming.
I have used the Hilton Garden Inn Troy for for Conferences at this point anyway been to several others there and, each time, they outdo themselves. Staff is excellent, from the planning team to the event staff. The food is good. The A/V staff are great. We have always had a phenomenal response from those who attend. Highly recommend staying or hosting your event here.
The rooms are spacious and clean, with strong ventilation/air conditioners. The staff is pleasant and understanding, and the decor ties the whole hotel together. Their breakfast is delicious, and the sports grill attached to the lower lobby is a great dinner option. This hotel is often filled with students or prospective students visiting Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute - this is because this hotel is a great lodging option for anyone visiting RPI, and for Troy as a whole.
Went to the recovery room. Pretty good food, large selection of beers. 30+ if I recall correctly. Somewhat pricey, a pint of beer was 6 bucks. Got a burger and fries for dinner, burgers are always good there. Fries are a little too salty for my taste. No wait time on Friday around 6pm which was nice. A ton of tvs showing any sports game you can imagine.
Staff is friendly, location clean. Wish the pool area had a hot tub, and the entertainment options in the exercise room are severely limited. Breakfast situation is weird. You basically pay for a Continental breakfast, piecemeal, or someone does short orders from the grill. $12 seemed pricier than it was worth, and few people seemed interested in the option.
Ive been pleased with past stays but was incredibly disappointed in the most recent stay. The rate was nearly double what was normally paid and a very bizarre Motherdaughter “Princess competition” event had taken over the location. The event attendees blocked the stairwells to take group pictures (so there was no access), overflowed the lobby (& overwhelmed the management staff) so you could barely get in and out of the elevators, move throughout the lobby area, etc. Couldnt even sit by the fireplace and read as it was in their private event space. Ended up banished by the hotel staff to read in a back hallway by the noisy kitchen area but gave that up when some of the event attendees came by, disappointed that someone had taken their chairs. The staff had no idea what to do to handle the situation. For the price paid for the overnight stay, I expected more of a Hilton. As a Hilton Honors member, I hoped for much better pricing and service. As a result of this last stay, I cancelled the reservation that was part of the return trip & will be looking elsewhere to stay in the future.
It was an overall good experience. I was a little disappointed that there was no free breakfast, but that is understandable. We did use the hotels free shuttle to get to places around the area, though most of the time the shuttle was booked. Near the checkin desk they offered free coolies which tasted good. Also we were stuck in town so we werent able to check out in time, but they were flexible and let us back into the room to get our stuff. Overall it was a good experience. I also recommend that you go to the farmers market on saturday. It was big and there was one creamery vendor that sold delicious chocolate milk that was inexpensive.
Strange stale smell in the vestibule upon entry to the restaurant. Lots and lots of dust caked on the junk hanging from the ceiling in the dining area. Lacklustre atmosphere. Mediocre food and service. A gas station taquito may be a more enjoyable experience. Many better options in the area.
My husband and I had our wedding ceremony in the Courtyard at the Hilton and it was truly spectacular. We worked directly with Kailee Marafito and she was wonderful. She was with us every step of the way and answered all our questions prior to our big day. This was the perfect location for the outdoor ceremony we were looking for! We also used both of the larger suites to get ready in and they were perfect!
Amazing food! The steak however was still mooing at me. The hors doeuvres were spectacular. Especially the loaded rate tots and mozzarella sticks. The dance floor wasnt as large as I wanted but my group was able to work with it. Overall pretty good expirience would recommend!
My family and I attended a wedding reception at the Hilton Garden Inn in the Rensselaer room. Before the event, we got drinks and apps at the sports bar which was a good way to kill time, but nothing exceptional. At the reception the wait staff were very friendly and efficient from what I saw. The venue was big enough to fit 300ppl plus a band and a big dance floor, which is rare. The food was excellent, the steak in particular had great flavor. We didnt get a hotel room but hung out in someones room who did. It looked pretty nice and made me want to stay there or recommend it in the future. Overall a great experience with parking, the bar, the reception and the hotel all together.
Hilton Brand chain and is typical of super chain hotels. Reasonably quiet for a weekend. Nice clean rooms. Good service. The hotel is located close to RPI and there is a Dunkin Donuts and Rite Aid nearby. Quick access to the highway and near a really nice park. Exercise room is a little smaller than I prefer but it works well enough. Has everything you need to stay active while traveling.
We booked this hotel room for an event. Room was clean and neat prior to our event. We came back to the room later that night and the ENTIRE ROOM SMELLED LIKE WEED from the guests next to us. Called the front desk and they debated the smell and said they can move us to a different room if that would stop the allergic reaction my husband was having. LEGIT DEBATED MOVING US! Should have called 911. Other than the poor customer service from the night staff, hotel is ok.
Room: sheets are clean and comfortable; internet works without hassle; temperature control works pretty well; Keurig coffee maker and supplies; refrigerator; shower temperature is easy to control pretty closely to desired warmth. When cold outside lobby has delicious and very welcome hot chocolate. Parking is free and seems to be adequate and its right next to the entrance.
The Hilton garden Inn located inn Troy NY was clean and hospital. My stay was pleasant and I would recommend this hotel to anyone on business in the area. The sports pub downstairs served great food, burgers and tenders were great. Beer selection was decent as well. If youre up for breakfast dont hesitate to enjoy an omelet.
Went to the restaurant (Recovery room) great spot to watch sports bit the food has gone down hill recently. Chicken wings where over cooked this time and last time Samon was not very good. On the positive side the stage is very good. Hope the kitchen can turn it around
Central located this Inn provides a host of ammentaties. The hotel gusts are treated with professionism. There is a golf course minutes away. They have a buffet price well with a chef that will cook you up any eggs you may desire. Adjacent to the hotel their is a sports bar priced just as well. Of course happy hour is fun. Ample parking to boot.
I went to a professional event in one of the banquet rooms. It was clean and well set up, as well as had light refreshments in the hallway outside- fruit infused water and mixed nuts. My only complaint is the location of the hotel- Hoosick St. is incredibly busy so getting in and out of the parking lot (and general area) can be difficult.
I was returning to RPI as an alumnus after a long absence. I redeemed some points for my visit through a credit card reward program and even though the Hilton Honors card is in my partners name they switched the name on the reservation from mine to his and gave us the points for the stay. Scored a couple of delicious chocolate chip cookies at check-in, after being picked up at the train station by the shuttle, which primarily serves the airport.Unfortunately, the digital key on the app never worked and I was disappointed there wasnt a safe in the room. The bathroom was well-stocked with the basics. There was a mini-fridge and a coffee-maker, but no mini-bar. The furniture was a little warn and the temperature, despite the individual thermostat, never settled between too warm or too cool. The bed was just right. And there was an Ethernet cable on the desk, which I prefer to Wi-Fi (though I used it for my phone), so bonus points there. The desk attendant who checked me in at 4:30p was the same guy who checked me out at 5a a couple days later. Couldnt have been more helpful or efficient. All in all, it met expectations for a satisfactory visit
This place is terrible....unless you are 21 years old and want to get drunk in the sports lounge. The music in the bar is literally so loud that it shakes the windows in the rooms. Staying here as part of a business trip is a HUGE mistake...do not do it. If you are with 10 drunk friends and want to party in the Sports Bar--- come on down. Awful experience.
Came for a wedding held there and later for a fundraiser. Food is good but I dont like being here because I dont like being in crowds. Also, at least one of the servers is racist; of all the people at the wedding, only one older-looking man was carded for drinks. The man who got carded was black. The racist server wasnt even serving drinks, but he walked up to the man who was peacefully enjoying his drink and demanded to see his ID, but his ID was in his car. He then took the drink away from him while white people who looked much younger than drinking age went unharrassed. It was disgusting to watch, so I made a stink. The man got another drink later, thankfully unbothered.I am a white person, but I know racism when I see it. So, I guess dont be black without having your ID in this establishment if you dont want to be messed with while ordering drinks. If youre white, youre A-OK though!!
This is a standard mid-range Hilton property, that serves mostly RPI families. It has the basic amenities and had clean rooms. The location is somewhat inconvenient to the nightlife, but its quiet. The property has a restaurant with basic pub fare and adequate service.
Impeccable service. After the great snowpocalypse last night, our SUV was completely buried. They had plows out digging people out and even what I believe to be the managers, judging by the dress shoes and slacks, had shovels and were helping to dig people out and went out of their way to help scrape our car off.Definitely the icing on the customer service cake. Will be staying here every time Im out this way!
The name is a little misleading, there is no garden. And, if this is Hilton, well... But, if you are staying here you are probably part of a state wide conference regarding Trauma response times and what we can do about it.... Or something like that. No matter. You are in Troy! The birthplace of the American industrial revolution! You didnt know that? Shame on you. Okay,. Go into town. Really, I mean it. The town center is beautiful and walkable. There are a number of restaurants and bars worthy of your attention. Plus, youve been in conference for ten hours, you need a break. Troy delivers! Sorry, not what you were thinking. I mean, Troy delivers in a fun experience.
From walking into entrance. You have to go up a floor to register-either by stairway or elevator. Elevator marked buttons are even hard to understand...ex. one button is marked ML? Once if at all you figure certain marked elevator buttons out. Your signing out! DO NOT get a room street side!!! At night youll hear the traffic all night. Especially the tractor trailers, etc.! Especially if you understand when heavy trucks have air brakes/jake brakes!!! Note also, if both ball rooms are booked. Good luck on finding in their parking lot and additional parking lot. A place to park while you stay there.
We didnt stay in a room we went there fo drinks. For the amount of people that were at the bar (a full bar on a Saturday night) they only had one bar tender and if you wherent male you didnt get a drink thankfully I was with enough guys friends to not have to wait the 20 mins it took me on my own to get a drink.
The location is pretty good. There is a convenience store across the street, as well as a few restaurants. The view really depends on the room. I can see Popeyes chicken outside of my window, my coworkers can see air conditioners. They have a really nice shuttle service. They dont seem to have any access to fixing any internet problems, so if you want to use any decent internet, just pay for it or get a hot-spot. The free internet is slow and theyll just tell you that you cant upgrade until 24 hours has passed.
It is the closest hotel to RPI so I have stayed here several times. The lobby, food and staff are great, but the rooms are dated and the beds are horrible. They have these pseudo sleep number beds and we never sleep well and wake up feeling like we have been beaten up.
I was at the 50th RPEA luncheon here last week. With a large crowd to celebrate our accomplishments as an organization. The large banquet room looks to seat at least 500 people, and maybe more. Mr. Dinapoli, NYS Comptroller spoke to us on the present conditions of the NYS budget. A classy place for such an event.
They prepared my drink using fingers, a NY health code violation. When I said something I was informed that the prep of fruit for drinks was bare handed, also a violation. They seemed proud of their lack of concern and hygiene. I have to be concerned about all their food practices. I will never return.
The Hilton Garden Inn has been the site for RPIs awards dinner for several years. They do an excellent job with hors doeuvre, offering many tasty items (my favorite was smoked Gouda cheese). The bar tender was very nice and efficient. The dinner was delicious. We were able to choose from chicken and salmon dishes with various sides as well. The desserts were very tasty: chocolate cake and cheesecake with strawberries and whipped cream. The servers were very pleasant and helpful. It is a good place for any function.
Never have I experienced quite the colossal reservation mess up. After driving a long 5 1/2 hours thru fog and rain, we arrived at our lovely temporary abode, the Hilton Garden Inn in Troy, NY. Exhausted and worn out, we came to quickly find that Surprise!! Our one-bedroom suite we had booked over 6 months ago had been given away to another patron!! Lovely!! The joy on our companions faces was palpable. And of course, this being an extremely busy weekend in Troy there was only a small Queen room available for our multi person party. Insert sad face here. I must confess that the manager Dan was very nice as he tried to manage this huge debacle, but not even the most accomplished wizard could make our suite appear in the middle of the night!! Despite the fact that they promised to reduce our room rate (#ItsNotAboutTheMoney) this did not take the sting out of having to cram 4 bodies into a cramped and crowded room.Dejected and feeling hopeless, we slunk away to our confinement, er, hotel room. Whatever excuses that were made, I cannot for the life of me understand how our room was given away? So perhaps Hilton Hotels are good at taking the reservation but not holding the reservation? Seinfeld reference here. And the manager even had the audacity to suggest that we call periodically prior to check in to confirm that the room is still available. Really? So now it is the customers job to make sure the hotel honors its end of the reservation agreement?? Rubbish!!We spoke again to the manager later that night and he said that our room was also booked for the following night but that they would call the other customers and see if they would give up their Suite. What?? Why would anyone give up the suite they booked? This is their solution? My solution, dear Sirs, is simple. Dear Hilton Garden Inn: DONT DOUBLE BOOK YOUR ROOMS!! Have I lost my marbles? Is this that complicated??My final suggestion dear readers is this - if you actually expect a hotel to honor your (long time held) reservations, dont book with Hilton Garden Inn. Your reservation is as good as the gossamer dreams you had of a good nights sleep. Poof!! And its gone.....

2022-05-03We had a lovely stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. The room was very spacious and very comfortable. I liked the big arm chair. Other things I liked was the parking was spacious, the location of the hotel was convenient, the staff at the front desk was fine and the room was very clean and quiet. The hotel has a well kept elegant atmosphere. Looks like a great place for a conference, I saw the meeting area downstairs and theres a real nice outside space. My complaints are that I wish there had been some lotion; We were put in a room overlooking the physical plant (terminology?) rather than the neighborhood, even though we are Hilton Honors guests and there werent that many people in the hotel. Also the coffee in the lobby was lukewarm even though it was first thing in the morning after it had been put out. The front desk person said that 10 minutes after she puts it out, it gets lukewarm. Sounds like the hotel needs some new carafes because there are certainly some that keep coffee hot longer than that. However, she got us some coffee from out back and that was plenty hot, so that was good. I was surprised that at least a continental breakfast was not included. Even the cheapest hotels have that, and this is the Hilton! However, overall we were very pleased with this hotel and felt comfortable and safe.

2022-07-02The best breakfast for onsite hotel! Made to order omlets were delicious. Only complaint is the lack of water pressure. Check in friendly and simple, room was spacious and clean, Keurig in the room.

2022-07-04Nice people here. Some in our group commented that the bathrooms were smaller than expected. The elevator here is confusing, floor ML is below BL, which is below L.. . I think. Good luck!

2022-05-06Horrible place to stay. The front dest customer representative was very rude and sarcastic. Im supposed to be staying here while on military mission and I decided after just 30 minutes to go to another hotel. I rather pay to go stay in another hotel then to stay here for free. I do not understand how anyone could honestly choose to stay here.

2022-01-25Had a cross and necklace stolen here by a member of housekeeping. Dont leave anything in your room, you will get jerked around and lied to . As a Diamond Club member of Hilton i was loyal to the brand, I am cured of that loyalty now.

2021-11-25Rooms are nice, but if youre charging $100+ per night perhaps the continental breakfast should be included. Charging $9 for the opportunity to make your own bagel/cereal is ridiculous. Even budget hotels dont charge money for toast.
