Went for dinner on 10/01 for my birthday....Had a great meal with family and friends. I would normally order wings and pizza but since it was my birthday I went out of my box and ordered the garlic chicken and OMG it was amazing, great job Cori and staff:)
Went here for dinner on a Monday evening and had such an awesome dining experience! John, our server, was very attentive and helpful, and even helped me out when I questioned if there were any vegetarian options. He went and got the chef who was super kind to me! She created a totally new meal for me that was incredibly delicious! Wonderful experience and would highly recommend :)
Amazing food and pleasant atmosphere. If you remember it as a bar, it is far more than that now. Try their Friday night seafood buffet or the Saturday night Italian buffet. The bacon wrapped scallops are to die for. See their Facebook page for the new winter menu and nightly specials.

Customer service was great!We ordered gf cheese pizza. It was made with a cauliflower crust. Never had it before. I would definitely order it again. Eggplant parmesan, chicken quesadillas, coleslaw and salad. The house dressing was amazing. The decor was country and somewhat eclectic. It was a nice welcoming environment.
Food was good, just check your bill. Was charged 13.95 for added bacon. But the bartender did correct it when we showed him
Ordered wings and a cheese pizza and took over an hour to be able to receive. Would be one thing if it was a called in order, however when you walk in and order that time wait is ridiculous. Also very spendy place to eat. Hope the food will be exceptional for the very long wait. Called to see what the issue was and was told there were many called in orders ahead of our in house pickup order. However saw many people come in and order after the fact and receive their food.
Walked in at 5:30pm and politely asked if they served dinner. The sign says “family restaurant” but it also a bar. I was rudely told that “dinner isn’t ready yet” which seemed strange. She said we could take a seat and returned with menus. She offered no drinks. She just wandered away. After looking through a very short list of extremely overpriced food we decided this wasn’t a place for us and left. Unwelcoming and certainly not a family restaurant.

Food was okay, a bit greasy and typical bar food. They had a large outdoor seating area and inside as well.
Seafood bisque had fake crab and was very salty. Almost raw bacon and huge green onions on a steak with half fat, half meat and medium.was like med rare. Husbands hamburger just ok. The server was super nice, but food not worth returning for.
Dinner starts at 5... And they mean it!!! Severely understaffed before then. Watched several hungry and Thirsty people leave in frustration from lack of service. Bartender was so overwhelmed that they became quite short with the customers. Will not be returning in the near future
Pretty much the country version of cheers. great people workers who remember you and take care of you. as soon as I walk in my usual order is delivered without having to ask. my food has always been great, but carry out for the wife has had some issues hence 4 stars.
Food is very good. Had a large surprise Birthday party for my husband here. It was great. Owner extremely accommodating. Prices are reasonable . Highly recommend

Fantastic prime rib sandwich!! Tender and juicy, with perfectly cooked onions and tasty Au jus on the side. The sweet potato fries were crispy and delicious! What a great stop on a long highway ride.

The staff is nice but the food is not very good.We used to put up with the sub par food to get the salad with their house dressing.The house dressing was absolutely fabulous,but they changed it when new owners bought it.Now there is no reason to go there.I live very close but I will drive right past to go get real food somewhere else.

2022-03-21While in my travels I looked on to Google to find places to eat when I stumbled upon The Hitchin Post steakhouse. We were happily surprised with the menu and choices starting off with soup of the day which was Italian wedding soup. It left you wanting more but knowing I needed to save room for the main course. I ordered flat iron steak dinner with mashed. My husband ordered the Post Steak with mashed. Everything was prepared wonderfully and service was fantastic. We topped off the night with carrot cake and ice cream. We exchanged kind words with the chef. We highly recommend.

2022-02-08Had our baby shower here and it was perfect! She was able to accommodate our large group of family and friends with the downstairs room and catered a delicious meal with our total headcount of 75 people! We come here for dinner and drinks often too and were always pleased with the people, the service, and the atmosphere 🙂

2022-03-24Locals know the deal, and if I lived nearby I would stop in all the time. But as someone from out of town who is a regular traveller along I-88 I wanted to highlight that I do not think there is a better place to pull off and recoup. Great food, staff, and space. If you havent been - cut the foreplay and give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

2021-11-14Love this place. I just tried it for the 1st time. I had the Italian trio which has chicken parm., Manicotti, and meatballs all covered in mozzarella. It was delicious! The serving size was enough for two people to share, there was tons of cheese, it was just perfect! I especially like the marinara which was nice and tangy with a slight bitterness (from tomatoes) and a good amount of sweetness. Ill definitely be coming back.

2021-07-12What a nice place. Food was good service was good and the people are so nice. Def going back. I just read another review complaining about the service. I was very surprised after how attentive they were with us. Guests need to remember that the pandemic makes it very difficult on small businesses. We should all try to be grateful and have more patience.

2021-07-30Wow! Passing through from upstate NY to MD and stumbled across this place. Looks a little suspect from the outside but once you pass through the doors the hospitality and the food are out of this world. The Buffalo cauliflower is perfect and the burgers are huge. Definitely a good place for a pit stop if you’re in the area!

2021-03-08Ill edit this to be fair. It good that this place is popular. I ate here once years ago for Fathers Day and it was great. Drank here once for a friends birthday. The other times Ive tried the place it was packed. Like I couldnt walk in the door packed. Other times patrons were blocking the entrance though there didnt appear to be much of a crowd inside. I havent been back since covid started, will try one last time when this all clears up.

2021-05-30If you want food in a timely manner do not go here. The service is Soo slow my family and I were told Ill be right with you and we waited over 10 minutes. There were other guests that were given menus and drinks before us, and they arrived after us. If you have to sit it the back room it it like a black hole, and you dont get great service. When we get take out and eat elsewhere it is good.
