We stayed here for a week while visiting family. We didn’t know until we got there that the rooms don’t get “serviced” daily, unless requested. We put in a request to get fresh towels and the trash taken out daily. I had to call 2 nights in a row to get towels and the trash taken. The next night I actually went down to the front to talk to the GM. He assured me that it would be done the next day and it was. He comped 1 night and gave us free breakfast for the remaining 3 days. Just not something you want to deal with for a week. The sink didn’t drain well and the toilet ran for 2 minutes after barely flushing each time. One of the mornings at breakfast, they didn’t even have milk! The icing on the cake was the last night someone stole 4 license plates from vehicles(mine included) and broke in another. They have no security cameras outside for safety and they are right across the parking lot from a state prison. Please be careful in that parking lot at night and lock your vehicles. Not a place I would recommend to anyone.
This place is OK. I stayed here during a guided tour trip and this was the hotel chosen for the halfway through the trip. The service and amenities are great. Staff here are nice. But cosmetic conditions of the rooms are questionable. The 1st time I stayed here, the TV didnt work properly, and the telephone did not work at all. The AC unit was dirty, and on my 2nd stay, it did not work properly. The AC would not turn off even though it was turned off at the switch. The window that faces the outside was pretty dirty from the inside and the outside. But overall, its ok. Theres nothing too bad that gets between you and the staying experience. Its practical, its adequate, its mostly clean, and it gets the job done.
Not worth the $300/night, not by a long shot. The bathroom had tons of mold (took pics but cant post them), the curtains were sheer which let in lots of light, the phone in the room didnt work, the bathroom door was a sliding barn door which allowed people to see you using the toilet and showering and the indoor pool was right outside the rooms which made us hear the yelling and screaming of playing until 9 pm.
Phone not working in room. No tv guide or any flyers in room. No cleaning service. Had to pick up clean towels at front desk. Dirty ones just pile up in room. Restaurant only open for breakfast..Not free..Bar doesnt open till 4 with only a small menu. Pkace was clean with very friendly and helpful staff. Will go back and hopefully they have more staff bu then.
Positive: We were greeted nicely and with enthusiasm. Negative: Our A/C was not working. Someone came to our room to fix the situation. The A/C ran for 20 minutes, just dropping the temperature by 2 degrees, not cooling our room and then shut off. Upon checkout, no apology or discount was offered! Grr!
Customer service was very pleasant. They answered all my questions with great personality and professionalism. I enjoyed my room, I found it to be very clean, comfortable, the king size bed was great! Next morning I had breakfast in the restaurant. The food was delicious, the waitress took care of me quickly. The front desk customer service Tuesday morning was very pleasant. Overall great visit.
Upon arrival warmly greeted by front desk. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking. Staff during my stay very friendly. The only downside to this property would be that there are no windows to the outside in this hotel because the rooms face inward to a courtyard. The courtyard is very nice and beautifully decorated for the holidays. It was just a little weird not being able to look outside.
Hotel experience was great. Breakfast for 2 was well worth it, and made to order. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Nicole at the front desk. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Only thing that was amiss was the toilet in the bathroom was very low.
The Holiday Inn Auburn-Finger Lakes provides a clean, comfortable (albeit a bit small) room. The Heat and Air is a classic wall unit that appears to be built locally in Auburn, NY, but not in this decade. It performs well, but I missed the modern thermostat which would have allowed me to set a preferred temperature instead of just warmer or cooler on the heat or cool setting. Pool and fitness room looked inviting, but I didnt have time to try them out. A little noise from the hall trickled in the room, but nothing that disturbed my sleep. Checkout staff was even more friendly than at check-in and asked to confirm that my stay had been a good one. Recommended!
Great staff and service when needed. Check your shower out first though to make sure it drains. We didnt and unfortunately we had a clogged tub. We were there for an event and I don’t think others had issues so maybe it was just a fluke. Ended up having to take showers when we got home after each having one the second day we were there.
Nice staff, well appointed room with some nice touches, and comfortable beds. The bathroom looked nice at first glance. When I went to use the toilet, I thought someone had forgotten to flush. Alas, it was just an unpleasant stain. The bathroom sounds from above, caused me to look up and then I noticed the popcorn ceiling with the mold on it. The drain in the shower did not allow the water to go down. The hotel looks like it either was once a beautiful hotel that fell on hard times or COVID hit and they ran out of money during the renovation. It has ALOT of potential and is in a great location. You can even walk to some great restaurants just blocks away.
The hotel is showing signs of its age. The rooms and bathrooms could use an update. They were clean and functional on arrival so they served the purpose. The hotel has a pool (which i did not use) and a meeting lobby (which I did use) but surprisingly it is all indoors giving a cramped feeling. No exposure to sunlight once in the hotel which is a very weird experience.I used points so was fine but its value is very dependent on the rate paid, as the hotel is not top notch by any means.
This didnt turn out to ba a pleasant experience. I was promised a quiet room by two front desk. They set me up above the pool and atrium where guests go to drink and partyFirst night was Friday after I drove 7+ hours getting there! I was awakened after 10:30 by voices and laughter at poolside. No one swimming as the pool was closedI called desk and they take care of itSaturday night, same thing .But I called three times , spoke with Nicole .who said Ill be able care of it. ). between 9 pm and 1:30 AM. She did a lot sy job of controlling the posted Quiet Hours And vowed I would NOT suffer the third night.I am. Platinum Plus Owner through IHG and I am probably going to cancel it. There are so many better places to stay overnight these days.I checked out the next morning and checked into a lovely roadside Suite at less money and, convenient, quiet, clean and stocked with extra goodies in pantry and fridge for Free!I will NEVER go here, again!
We showed up for our reserved room at 8 PM only to be told none were available, and it might be two more hours before one would be ready. A clearly flustered check-in agent was doing her best to handle multiple tasks on-her-own. She had called in managers, and anyone she could get to help clean rooms, but she was left alone at the desk to deal with the stream of unhappy guests. Kudos to her for keeping her cool.We did get a room around 8:30, but not the suite we reserved. It was clean, but had been done in a hurry - we were both glad to have a room and sad that the hotel was in such disarray. Finding employees is hard in the post pandemic environment, we all know that. But it is hard to understand how you dont have enough cleaned rooms for the pre-reserved traffic you will receive. Management needs to do better.
If youre looking for a full service Holiday Inn and youre staying from Sunday to Tuesday, youre out of luck. This hotel becomes a Holiday Inn Express on those days. No restaurant, no bar, no free kids meals... NOTHING. All you get is a grab and go bag if youre lucky. The morning we came down they had run out of bags except 1 bag which contained an overripe banana, a warm bottle of water and a stale granola bar. This was very obviously that they didnt even have enough for all the guests that day. The staff I have to believe was doing the best they could with the resources they are given. However, guests should not be blindsided at check in that the entire reason you chose that hotel is not available. We spent an entire day traveling and looked forward to sitting down to a nice dinner IN our hotel, instead we had to go several blocks away for dinner and we had a stale granola bar, banana and warm water to share among the 3 of us for breakfast....Did I mention, there was no housekeeping, only requests to the front desk. The pull out sofa was not made up and had a stain on the mattress, no pillow case on a pillow on the bed and not enough towels or soap for 3 people in the room. The pool was open, however, even though we were registered guests, we had to leave our driver license with the front desk and get a key for the gate surrounding the pool to gain access, all that after making a reservation for pool time. The suite shop in the lobby looked like it hadnt been restocked in a while, there was an empty freezer and not much of a selection for the roughly 3 dozen kids staying in the hotel that night. Oh, and a wine list in the lobby suite shop listed several delicious wines, however, they were available at the restaurant bar - which was closed....
For the most part, our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. However, as we entered the room checking in, there was a horrible smoky smell of tobacco or cigar. Whoever stayed there prior was a heavy smoker and brought the odor into the room. Staff tried to get us a new room but were booked. They gave us Febreze and a fan which helped. We were also able to open glass sliding door so we got fresh air. It We managed and smell dissipated. We also had a shower that didnt drain so we improvised and put something there to keep drain open. It was ok, didnt really bother us. Staff was helpful with directions and ideas of where to go. I was most thankful for that.
We have stayed at Holiday Inns before but this experience was not great. We stayed 2 night and the Air conditioner didn’t work well, room cleaning was just ok. Towels where paper thin and out King bed sunk in on one side. No coffee in the mornings and restaurant was closed. Maids stopped at our room both mornings before 9:00am.I usually don’t put out reviews but had to this time.
The mattress was terrible the bed actually had an indentation in it that you sank into, I had to change to the bed in the room in the middle of the night and that was not much better. There is no light at the desk, the light is on the dresser at least six feet away, so very hard to work at the desk. Last but not least the drain in the tub does not drain properly while taking a shower the water was getting up to my ankles. Daytime staff is much more friendly than night staff.
I chose this hotel because it is very close to where my mom lives, and we were there to visit her. I chose it for its proximity to mom, the lovely indoor pool (with a lift so people with mobility issues can access the pool!), and the ability to have a roll-in shower to care for my daughter who uses a wheel chair and does not walk. Our requests for towels, shower chair, blow-dryer were happily met in a very timely manner! Bed was super comfortable, nice linens and pillows. The room was modern and nicely appointed. No issues with cleanliness. The burger restaurant has a bar, main lobby sells a nice mix of food/snacks/drinks. Staff very friendly and helpful. I will stay here again!
We came for a visit. The location is convenient to town making it easy to get around. Overall the hotel is clean, however approaching the entryway it was very dirt and did not present a good first impression. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable and the pool is conveniently located in the center of the hotel. We had to go to the desk to get additional towels, as there was only one in the room. My biggest complaint is upon check in we were told there is no breakfast available on our days of stay (Sunday and Monday. This is contrary to the website information which states breakfast is available everyday.
Downtown is easily accessible from the hotel. Walking around in the morning there were plenty of things to see. I did not know Harriet Tubman lived there! Hotel staff ask you to fill out a cleaning preference card upon check in. I asked for fresh towels and to have the trash emptied daily. Neither happened. Patti at the front desk was simply wonderful! There were two weddings for the Patel family going on that weekend and she was alone at the desk helping guests, answering phones and all the while there was a wedding party gathering in the lobby. She did everything she could to hep us - giving us a couple fresh towels and trash bas to replace ours. Apparently over the 4th of July weekend there were staffing issues, as I did not see many employees around much of the weekend. I am a loyal Holiday Inn user, but, if it werent for Patti this could have been my last stay there.
We stayed at this hotel for a wedding held at the lodge at Welch Allen which was about a 15 min drive from there. Staff was very friendly, room was nice and comfortable, but the coffee maker didnt work, not a big deal for us since we were going down stairs to get breakfast anyway. We told the front desk at checkout and they immediately called maintenance. After the wedding we had a couple drinks in the bar, the bartender did his job, but didnt really talk to us. In the morning we ordered breakfast sandwiches to go. The waitress was very nice, giving us multiple to go cups for the road, along with all the condiments for the food and coffee. Great place to stay!
We stayed three days at this Holiday Inn. The staff were so helpful and friendly it made us want to stay longer! Once we figured out the air conditioner thermostat was calibrated about 10-12 degrees off, we got the room comfortable. The bed was great, the handicapped room met our needs. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return.
The hotel location was great in terms of what we wanted to do. The room was decent but extremely dark, even with every light on. Our room overlooked the pool, which was noisy at times and we could smell the chlorine. The room itself was nice. The staff we encountered during our stay were all very pleasant and helpful. The price was very expensive but we used reward points, otherwise we would not have stayed at this hotel.
Positive: From the time of reservation to time of departure, hotel staff were all friendly, helpful and accommodating! Roll-in shower for our wheelchair user was perfect and a shower chair was provided. Room was spacious. Nice indoor pool and atrium area! Negative: Not specific to this hotel, but most hotels: handicap accessible rooms seem to always come with a king bed, assuming the person w/disabiities travels alone or with mate, never thinking the person travels with an unrelated aide who would like their own bed
I recently stayed at this location for a wedding and had significant issues with my room being dirty, hot, and unkempt. I was initially placed in a room with a dirty bathroom and a room that clearly was not vacuumed (chewed gum, wrappers, and childrens toys under the bed, as well as fruit snacks on the floor), and the room did not have functioning air conditioning and smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. A technician did come up to fix the AC however the smell only worsened, so I requested a new room, which was even filthier than the initial one and I firmly believe was a used room that had not been cleaned, however I was told there were no other rooms. I attempted to find other lodging overnight however could not, so I was stuck in the dirty room. Again, not vacuumed, bathroom floor with muddy boot prints that spread onto the towel placed on the floor, hair and dirt on the toilet, rubber bands (from hair) on the bathroom floor, and the stack of towels was wet and stained and appeared to have been used. the bedding had blood stains on the pillow cases and a large blue stain on one bedspread. The room smelled better however this was because a Glade car air freshener was shoved in the air vent. At checkout, I was offered a rate reduction however it frankly did not make up for the disgusting conditions, and many verbal requests that I have sent for a phone call from management have been un-answered, including a review on the IHG website. I strongly discourage anyone from staying here.
It’s listed as a 3 star hotel but the current conditions of this Holiday Inn is more like a 2 star hotel. They should really just close for a few weeks to deep clean and repaint the rooms. The carpet is nasty, so many spots and some parts with crust (vomit). I can’t even blame the housekeeping because there’s just so much you can do with a vacuum. I just noticed there’s leftover food (looks likes a chicken nugget behind the side table). The a/c unit is extremely loud but if you turn it off then the room gets rather stuffy, so it’s a lose lose situation. Definitely worth it to pay more and stay elsewhere.
I would like to preface this review with my sincere apologies for having to leave a review that is not positive. Unfortunately, due to our experience it would be dishonest if I were not to be completely transparent with future guests. I therefore my intention is to leave a review that honest and straight to the point. If being comfortable temperature wise is of great importance to you I strongly suggest staying anywhere other then here. I am sad to report that on an 84 degree day the very HVAC system has a very hard time keeping the room cool. We were so HOT and uncomfortable in our room that we had to wake up at 3am to take cold showers just to cool down. It was absolutely unbearable. My impression of the place is that they try to fool you with the remodeled lobby but when it comes down to it the important stuff is old and is in need of some dire upgrades. I should also mention the creaky elevator that made a funny sound every time it passed the second floor. With that being said, other than that I would have to admit the room was clean, the toilet flushed, it was pretty quiet. There was a dead bird in the parking lot...so theres that. Oh and dont expect two plastic cups, we only got one. Anyway , the Hilton around the corner is much better but you are going to pay more. We told the receptionist about our issues and I would have to say she handle it well and was really apologetic, and she gave us a couple of bottles of water so we could cool down our inner core.Peace, love and gratitude.
1) Well, the pool area is lovely, however, you are only allowed to sign up for one 1-hour time slot. We specifically chose this hotel as my husband was working and the kids and I would spend the day swimming. NOPE. We stayed for three days and didnt see anyone else swim and we literally had a room overlooking the pool. 2) DO NOT pay extra for breakfast. For us, we were trying to decide if the $13 price difference would be worth it since the hotel had a really lovely restaurant area (in the pictures). Its closed most days and the breakfast consists of a bottle of water, kids chocolate chip granola bar, and an overripe banana. 3) Our room was not cleaned well. The bathtub is scummy and had hair in it. The floor in the bathroom had shoe prints, crumbs, and who knows what on it. Under the bed had tons of dirt, french fries, etc. The floors were not clean. We will not stay here again. 4) The hotel was clearly not full, but they put everyone right next to one another -- TV on one side and coughing all night on the other. May have gotten 2 hours of sleep the first night.
The staff at the front desk and the location of the hotel are its redeeming factors. The staff is great and make every effort to accommodate all the problems that occur. We found the rooms lacking in cleanliness, the elevator, in particular was shabby. Some of the guest room doors, halls, elevator, etc. had paint chipped off. The showers in both rooms (we had to change rooms due to thermostat issues) we were in lacked water pressure and the shower walls had stains on them in one room. There is a very loud mechanical noise in the elevator upon ascent or descent. Felt like we were on a plane taking off.No coffee, tea, etc. offered in lobby.
I was there with my bridal party the day before my wedding and we all arrived between 3 and 3:30pm, our rehearsal started at 4:30pm. We all had to wait in a line that was out the door. Once we got checked in, they checked us into a dirty room. I had my three year old daughter with me and it was disgusting. I was so upset I went to the front desk almost in tears (mainly because of stress with the next days events) and asked for a different room, which was clean. The AC did not work in this room though, so another friend of mine actually traded the batteries from his room into mine so we were comfortable. Two of my three rooms were ready by 4:30. The third one could get into their room until 10:00pm!!! 7 hours after check in time. The next night, my now husband and I were checking in and received a complementary upgrade to an executive suite, which was clean and perfect for us. Although, many guests from the wedding were checking in after the wedding (10/10:30) and had to wait some time to get a room.
My husband, daughter and I attended an event in Auburn and stayed at this hotel. We arrived at 4:30 pm and our check in took 30 minutes. We were packed in a small lobby. (Not exactly feeling safe with some people masked and some not). It seemed that rooms were not ready. The front desk basically ignored us - no explanation of what the long hold up was it apology. We ended up being late fir our event. When we finally got to our room it did not smell or look clean. The room stunk of stale cigarette smoke! The bathroom floor was sticky, pillow cases were wrinkled, - it was really gross. It was so bad we considered driving home after the event but it was too far a distance and too late. We returned to the room to sleep and high tailed it out early in the morning. I am an IHG member and have never had a bad experience like this. Conversely, my family and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Waltham, MA the weekend before and had a great experience. Rooms (we had two) were crisp and clean, check in was a breeze.
I am a loyal IHG guest and usually love Holliday Inns. I stayed in this hotel on my last visit to the AFT races in Weedsport and was not disappointed. This trip however, I woke up to a floor and bag with all my clothes in it soaked from the air conditioner. Also a wall covered in mold or mildew. When I brought it to the attention of the front desk, they were very apologetic, and offered a very small discount and rewards points. Not wanting to make a scene in front of all the guests checking out, I took the managers card and sent him an email directly. I never did hear back from him. I also contacted the management company who runs the hotel, but their contact page kicked back. Maybe they dont care what their guests think. Maybe I need to rethink my choice in hotels next time I go to the races.
Needs to be better communication as we were given keys to a room not yet cleaned. Not a welcoming experience, to walk into a dirty room with unmade beds. Sliding door to bathroom in our room was broken and had to left open so as not to get stuck in or out of bathroom. (We had similar problem on a previous stay. Door hinges are not properly installed as they easily pull out of wall, which interferes with door properly sliding.) Drain in shower needs to be cleaned as there was standing water while showering. Staff was friendly, however.
Had a hard time finding a room on the way to Nigra Falls called the Holiday Inn the lady was very polite and got us a room. We checked in she did a awesome job. Once in our room we noticed the air conditioner wasnt working it would kick on for a second and shut off it was 2 AM so went to bed. When we woke up air still would not work and went to shower to leave and no towels had to go to desk.
The town itself was so gorgeous I wish I could’ve stayed longer but the hotel was better. Though, the rates was kind of expensive for the short stay I do say that the hotel itself was beautiful. We had a double bed with a balcony on the high floor and it was so nice to sit out and relax. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was really gorgeous with one exception the shower head pressure wasn’t all that great. But overall the staff was amazing and the room was comfy and well kept. The women who work at the front desk were kind and attentive to anything. It was really great stay!
Needed a last minute reservation and they had a room. I was grateful. Got there on time after a 7 hour drive. Had to wait an hour for the room to be ready. Others waited with me for their own rooms. Finally got into the room to find floor not vacuumed well and bathroom missing TP, Soap, Shampoo, Towels, and Trash Liners. Called down to front desk several times but no one picked up the phone on any attempt. Finally went down in person on my way out to dinner. I found the front desk crew to be sincerely apologetic and on top of it. Promised to make it right immediately. Breakfast was average. Look.. Covid has made EVERY business struggle for enough help. Im sure the staff they do have is overworked and exhausted. I understand. But I still have to be honest with my review.
The A/C unit was not in great shape and the ceiling had water damage. The only other complaint was the sliding barn door style bathroom doors which didnt allow much privacy. Otherwise the breakfast was great. Thanks Bea and Crew! The building is impressive and staff was friendly. Overall great stay.
This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. I had booked a executive king room, it was definitely not a king bed, it was a queen, we measured at after the attitude we got from the staff when we brought it to their attention. When my husband went to take a shower, the handle came off in his hand and the screw fell down the drain. When we called, we were asked Does it still work? If so, well fix it when you leave. Then when we returned back to our room later that night. The AC and fan wasnt working, we called the desk and were told, the hotel was full there was nothing they could do. I could not wait to get out of there.
After a long night of traveling and a delayed flight, I checked into the Holiday Inn around 1am (stayed the weekend for my sisters baby shower), and once I got to the desk, was told they didnt have room for me despite my confirmed reservation (made a month in advance, paid in full). I was told very matter of factly, I had to stay up the road at a different hotel because there was no room for me and they couldnt reach me to tell me of this ahead of time because they had no phone number on file, despite my confirmation email with my phone number and email on it. In short, it was very upsetting. The hotel they sent me to was awful and I never would have paid money to stay there, so for that to have been my only choice, was extremely disturbing. I was told there was room for me on the second night of my trip and once I checked in, I had a fine experience and was relieved to be staying at the Holiday Inn instead of the hotel they sent me to the first night. Needless to say, the Holiday Inn will not be my first choice to stay at in the future.
Would return for leisurely stay. Pool area was charming. Comfortable rooms. Housekeeping needs to mop floors better, splashed water on bathroom floor went to clean up and towel was black on first wipe. Little disgusting to say the least. But other then that rest of room was clean.
Our room was exceptionally clean and comfortable except for the heat did not work. We called the desk who sent someone right up to help. He did get it to work but it only worked for a short time and since the kids were sleeping I didnt call back down. Also I did not care for the way the guy behind the bar in the restaurant yelled at my children. There was not any other customers there when we went to place a to go order and the kids were running around a table and instead of allowing me to correct them myself he yelled at them.
The bathroom floor was sticky so I used a Lysol wipe to clean it. It was filthy and had hair on the wipe. Reported this and staff did come and mopped .Mold in the tub and on the shower curtain. Rug was also dirty as my socks were dirty from walking on it. I had to ask for Tp as when we got there we had about 10 sheets and no spare. Asked for 2 washcloths and never got them. Hole in the wall with Sheetrock dust on the floor. That night we lost water for a while and had no air conditioning during that time. We did eat at the Burger Theory which was clean and good and waitress was great. The next morning we ate at the cafe which was very good and the same waitress.
Pleasantly surprised on the upgrades since my last stay. The City of Auburn is lucky to have such a well established business available for visitors, tourists and locals! I am lucky to be able to return to Auburn for business (and a quick visit with family and friends)!
My air conditioner broke, they fixed it, was broke again by the evening of my second stay. Multiple other people in my group also had issues with the temperature of their rooms and air conditioners not working. I came expecting to get a breakfast, and found out they did not serve breakfast on the two days I was staying, and only got a bag with a granola bar, apple and bottle of water. The bar was also closed the two days I was there. The staff was friendly and helpful as they could be. The new renovations look nice, but the hotel itself is old and its like putting lipstick on a pig.
Met with such kindness from the gentleman behind the counter I am a travel nurse and he accommodated my needs, they gave me such good care and a room close to the front entrance! Room was very clean the bed was very comfortable! I will stop back through here again and stay here.
Will not stay at a holiday inn ever again. The bedding was disgusting and the housekeeping were not working on a mid july weekend. the manager was kind enough to clean our room once during our stay. The receptionists were unfriendly. we had to ask multiple times for towels. the pool requires a reservation and for only an hour. the pool towels are hand towels.
I love the area, only problem is getting cab service. Convenient gas station and a Subways restaurant across the street is a plus. There are also a few tourist attractions within walking distance.Fun fact: the Auburn correctional facility is directly behind the hotel. Overall Exceptional customer service and a wonderful experience.
We have been a member of IHG for many many years and this was the worst Holiday Inn experience we have ever had. It was crowded, dirty, with a bathroom door that was very hard to open and a very uncomfortable bed due to deep indentions. It was necessary for us to clean hair out of the bathtub drain and the filth on the back of door was gross. We were given 1 towel for family of 4, no laundry bag or soap. The hotel was full and we couldn’t be moved. We used points for payment.
My daughters and myself stayed two nights at the hotel to participate in a pageant and had a very nice experience. The staff was amazing and extremely friendly. The rooms were great, clean and had a coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator/freezer. I loved how all of the rooms had a balcony with a view of the indoor pool. The bathroom was well stocked and very clean, my only complaint was that the hairdryer outlet in the bathroom was broken, make it a little hard to do my daughters hair, given we were there for a beauty pageant, but I did let the staff know upon check out and they were going to address it. I was happy that there were many other outlets to be used throughout the room, so we made it work. The location of the hotel is great, literally five mins from shopping and restaurants. We ate at Subway and Moes Mexican Grill, both here great. The hotel does have a restaurant if you do not want to leave the property. There is a gas station right across the street that was very convenient. Lots of parking. Overall, Auburn is a beautiful area and I really enjoyed my stay, my kids didnt want to leave, so we plan on returning again in the future.
Our first room was very hot. They sent someone up right away to see if they could fix it. When he decided it was not able to be fixed he helped up move our stuff to another room. And that one felt wonderful! Our kids ate free, were able to swim and had a wonderful time. When we needed anything they were super fast in getting.it up to our room
Hotel Lobby is bright and very welcoming, however the rooms are very dark and gloomy. Maybe it’s the peachy/salmon colored ceiling. Beds were comfy. The time I arrived was unpleasant, it was extremely loud with birthday parties and it was just full house. Some staff members were nice others were so-so.I chose Holiday Inn vs. Hilton Inn because of the pool. Hilton’s pool was closed, there for I would NOT be visiting the Holiday Inn in the near future. I would pay $129 a night at Hilton for the Junior Suite vs. $70 King Room At Holiday Inn.One of my major concerns comes in when I requested pool time (12pm) and ensured we would be the only one at the pool. That was not the case. There was a family of 15 that arrived the same time as me. Obviously a bit upset I called the front desk and voiced my concerns. I proceeded to ask if they would be able to leave, the front desk associate stated that she could not tell them to leave because they were checking out soon at 1pm. She kept repeating “sorry I can’t do that, I can’t tell them they can’t use the pool” I left it at that my son and We left, and requested time at 3pm. They family never check out that 1pm as she stated. They were there until 245ish. I was lied to which fueled my anger even more, since I had to pull my child out of the pool with tears coming down his face. To add fuel the the fire, they could of waited since they went to the pool shortly after us again.Still waiting to hear from Tamara.
Stayed 2 nights for a dance competition held in the hotel. If it wasnt for the convenience of that we would have moved somewhere else. We were not made aware at check in that there was no air-conditioning in the guest rooms as it was broken - we were told this when checking out. Our room did not have any exterior windows that we could have possibly opened because we had a balcony that opened up to the pool area which made it that much more humid. The average temp in our room was approx 83 degrees for our whole stay which was very uncomfortable and extremely hard to sleep or relax in. The continental grab n go breakfast consisted of a brown spotted banana, a granola bar, and a bottle of water. Our suite had a trundle bed under the couch but I had to request sheets for it as there were only extra pillows in the room. The place was clean but dated.
This hotel has a significant problem that affects many rooms - the thermostats dont work properly, at least for cooling. The AC will cool the room to the set point, shut off - but then will not automatically restart as the temperature in your room rises. To reboot the AC, you have to turn the System switch to Off, listen for the unit to click three times (which takes about three seconds), then turn the System switch to Cool and the AC will kick on - and you start the whole above-described cycle all over again.Bonus - your proximity keycard will not work on Entrance E.
This survey is too long. Thought it was over and Im tired and busy. Staff was friendly. Room couldve been cleaner. Bathroom door sliding is annoying and got hurt on it. Bathroom couldve been cleaner. Decent rooms. great place to stay, but need housekeeping improvements.
Not the cleanest hotel, but not the dirtiest I have seen either. Main issue was when we checked in the gave us a key to a room where a guest was already staying. THEN a couple of hours later my mother who was in a separate room, had a family walk into her room after being given a key by the front desk. After talking with the front desk about both incidents, their response was to take some free drink and or snacks... nty, how about next time you give us, the family who walked into my mothers room, and the gentlemen whos room I had to walk into a discounted room rate... Would not recommend staying here, bound to either walk in on people, or have people walk in on you. Not cool.
I am staying at this hotel and leaving this Friday 5/14/21 I checking this hotel on Sunday on mothers day Monday I ask for room service and they didnt not come to clean my room I ask 5 times for. Room service to clean up and NOW!! Its been 4 days since I stay here and ROOM SERVICE!! And we owes have to go downstairs to get our own Towels And we have to take out our own trash Because they refused to come up here in cleaning But they clean everybody else is but mine And we talk to the Manager and he said that I personally have the Room service people coming clean your Room today and just gave us 4 free drinks and acted like what is the free drinks are gonna get us this hotel s*** if I was rates this hotel from 1-10 it will be 0 I just think there being Races
The housekeeping efficiency has improved dramatically since last summer. Most of the renovations are done, but I think we should all be warned that running the shower (especially with the bathroom door partially open) may set off the smoke alarm. Very creepy experience 2 of my 4 mornings. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay and the staff are very friendly. Bed was great. Internet did not stay connected on my iPhone, which is not a problem when I stay elsewhere. Please check that out, and by all means vent or lower the shower heads so the steam is not on the ceiling!!! I did not even have that much of a steam shower.
The Restaurant downstairs has delicious food and is very open and spacious. A little on the pricey side, but worth it. And there is a childrens menu available within the menu. The ungrounded pool is heated and the smaller size is perfect for children. The bedrooms are spacious and very well lit. Very well kept and clean. The bathroom floors were spotless and the mirror had no fingerprints. Under the toilet lid and inside the rims of the sinks were clean with no grime or mold. The beds were made properly with no stains or holes on the bedding, and the carpets and curtains were stain and hole free. Room service is usually quite prompt and reliable, unless they are busy, then they take a bit. Would definitely recommend.
Unbelievable. I am now in room number 3. The First room they gave me had garbage on the floor and in the bathroom. I asked for a new room, that room smelled of mildew and mold and had no air conditioning. The third room had air and was clean enough but had a second bed that wasnt made? They will not be a Holiday Inn property for much longer. I am a spire elite member and have stayed In HI location all over the world this is not up to thier standards
This was the most pleasant hotel experience I have had in more than 15 years. We hadnt made reservations, but were treated with kindness, and had a very nice relaxed check in process while my kid ran circles in the lobby (which after being in the car with a young kid for most of the day was such a relief how easy it was)The room was clean, the beds were super soft, my kid could watch cartoons and it let us get some rest. Would absolutely stay here again.
Based on other reviews I didnt have high expectations, but I was very surprised. The lobby was bright, open, and airy and the hotel had a classier feel to it than a typical 3-star hotel. I like the open concept center atrium of all the rooms with the pool in the center.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Holiday Inn in Auburn, NY. We had a suite and it provided plenty of room for us. The hotel is beautifully decorated and our room was so comfortable. The bathroom is really nice with a glass enclosure for the shower. We utilized the two sinks when someone was taking a shower. We are IHG Rewards Club Members, and we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast. The menu gave us great choices and the food was very delicious. The hotel is not far from Harriett Tubmans home and we enjoyed our time there as well. If we visit the area again, we will definitely choose this hotel again.
I stayed for one night. The pool was abound with noisy undisciplined kids but no running up and down the halls. The room was nice with a club chair and ottoman in addition to the bed. The bed was very comfortable and a variety of pillows to use. The bathroom was one of the best lit bathrooms I have been in for awhile. Unfortunately, I didnt find out that there was no hair dryer until it was too late. The only down side was the breakfast to go. It was a bottle of water, a banana and a granola bar. Having just stayed in another HI Express, they had hot breakfast sandwiches and yogurt and juices.
Check in was great. Staff was attentive. My son and 6 year old grandsons room’s air conditioner didn’t work too well, luckily he had a fan with him. I requested a 5:30am wake up call, I never got one. Luckily I was already awake. Out of the 4 “grab and go” breakfast bags we received, 3 of them had rotten/brown apples in them
This hotel is not worth price. I had staff enter the room when asked not to. I have staff leave notes around the room for me when asked to not enter to service at any time during my stay. The toiled did not work. The sink did not drain. The carpet looked like it hadnt been vacuumed in months. The non carpet section of floor was very sticky. i dont know if i just hit the lottery on this one but everything seemed to go wrong. One more thing, the room i was in shared a wall with the electrical room of which kept me awake all night.
After a 3-hour drive from Buffalo, our arrival at Auburn Holiday Inn was easy and pleasant. Very cheery and helpful staff. Beds are clean and very comfortable with plenty of pillows to prop up with. Pool area is nice, though indoors. Be sure to ask for a room with the newer A/C unit and check to see that the bathtub drains well. We needed to change rooms because of an old, non-functional A/C, and our bathtub drain needed fixing, which they did right away. Otherwise clean and comfortable.
My wife and really needed a night away from our current home living situation and the Auburn Holiday Inn was just what the doctor ordered. We utilized the pool all by ourselves through a system that hotel staff set up that worked perfectly. The staff was fantastic, the room was clean and comfortable and we left feeling refreshed and energized.
Staff is friendly. Rooms remodeled but the decor is not very nice. Breakfast is not included in your stay. Microwave didnt work in the room. Only two bath towels to start out with. Bathroom is nice with nice lighting. Ive been to other places with same price point and they were nicer. Our room smelled like a former smoking room. Beds were comfy I did sleep well.
Weary travelers just passing thru on our way to Boston for a sports tournament with our 2 boys. The Beds were new and comfortable. Decor is updated and modern. Staff of associates were kind and welcoming. The indoor pool was really nice for the kids to swim in the morning while we watched from balcony. We also felt safe to let them head to breakfast without us and the staff was very nice to them. It was a very relaxing experience. We would stay there again.
Power problem with elevators not working and stair lights out 8/30/20. bathroom sliding doors not very private and could not lock, toilet whistled when flushed. no clean linens or towel offered at any time. had to remove our own trash each day. door to balcony would not lock. memory foam bed much too soft for my liking.Great fun in pool. very good service from most of staff especially Patti.
We booked first night it showed a King Executive Suite on your website with a small livingroom and a little bedroom upon entering room we realized pics used for room were wrong. Second night we booked a 2Bdrm King suite which was listed as a 2 bedroom suite, upon entering it was the room that was pictured for my first night stay. So the 2 bdrm suite is actually a 2 room suite with a fold out bed and a bedroom not really definition of a 2 bedroom suite but also upon check in I reviewed our itinerary and I paid for a 1 person spa tub and it is a shower only the main reason I paid more for a BIGGER room was the tub spa. The lady informed me she dont know why it said that since they dont have spa tubs in any room. I did book on priceline so I believe problems are on that end for that but as for the pics of wrong rooms I checked Holiday Inn local website and it also shows the wrong pics. I will gladly send pics of what I have on my phone but most things are easily checked online.
I am a Spire Elite member. I set this room up for my sister and her family. This was her first time staying at an IHG property. As you can tell from my points I lived at a IHG property. I was very ashamed for the way my sister was treated. She didnt know she could talk to the staff. She left 1 night early.I would like 1 night of points returned to my account.
We stayed here on our way home from Canada and were pleasantly surprised with the hotel. The rooms were clean and the flooring was relatively new. There is a beautiful indoor pool that has a very large sitting area. While I did not use it, the fitness area was well equipped; better than you would see in most hotels. The only thing that would have made this stay better would have been a free breakfast, but there are plenty of places nearby if you want to grab something quick. We did not eat at the hotel’s restaurant so I can’t say much about their food. Overall it was a great experience and I would not hesitate to stay there again.
We arrived Friday February 12th as a family. we had called earlier in the week to see if we could get adjoining balcony rooms we were told theyd note that we wanted that. when we checked in we were put in rooms 504 and 503, room 504 had a balcony and the adjoining room 506 had no one in it Friday night so i went down and asked if there was a possibility I could get our room changed to 506 I was told I couldnt because a company had booked majority of the hotel. we have been coming to this hotel for almost 15 years and the rooms have always been first come first serve. Friday night the noise in the hotel was terrible, slamming doors, people fighting at the end of the hallway, people in the pool area loud until 12;30am, people in the pool and singing at 3 am. due to all the noise we barely slept on Friday night, woke up around 6;30am on Saturday to find 3 guys standing outside my room smoking weed. we were told that in order to use the swimming pool we would have to make a reservation, we reserved the pool on Friday night for 7pm Saturday night. Saturday night comes and the kids put on there bathing suits and we headed down to get the key for the pool to only be informed that the employee from the night before had never written our name down, the employee Saturday night apologized and said she was trying to get the manager to extend pool hours but if she couldnt we would be the first people in the pool Sunday morning so we made ANOTHER reservation for the pool. Sunday morning comes and we see people in the pool at 9 so we headed down for breakfast that we paid extra for and didnt get, we went to double check we had the pool for 10 to only find out again that the employee from the night before didnt write our name or room number down again ,at this point we had 2 extremely upset kids who couldnt swim because your staff didnt want to fix the problem they created. the employee Sunday morning was to concerned about the person on the phone they trying to fix the problem THEY created twice.
The staff is the highlight of this facility. They are all very friendly and personable. In my experience they were very fast and diligent. The room was clean and had all the appliances you would need. There was a microwave and mini fridge. It’s a really nice room for the rate.
Yeah this hotel has great prices, but you know what they say..you get what you pay for. The toilet in our room was broken and the faucet in the bathtub was dripping all night. Around 3am during one of our bathroom trips to the lobby we said something to the woman at the front desk who explain while there was nothing she could do at that time she would leave a note for the morning manager to COMP our room for the inconvenience. Well 3 days later and a DOUBLE room charge, it still has not been comp-Ed like we were promised and now the manager is saying we lied about the toilet being broke?? I have worked in customer service for 10 years and the way this company is handling our situation is ABSURD. Think twice before you choose to stay here.
Considering the problems that my friend, who was getting married. and myself experienced. This hotel does not seem to be able to accurately accommodate wedding guests. If you want your brides room to be unacceptable at check in, and to have your guests wait over an hour for check in, to which some had to wait into the late evening, than by all means. This hotel embarrassed themselves, and embarrassed my friend with their inability to properly accommodate a wedding, that was booked months in advance.
I called ahead of time as a local asking about booking and availability for the weekend just to take my daughter swimming. Was told it was “pretty quiet”. Upon arrival I learn they’re hosting a dance competition all weekend and it’s swarming with kids and their families. We were able to get 1 hour of pool time and that was the only reason for staying at a local hotel during a pandemic when there’s not much else to do. Our room was on the edge of the pool room and because of all the dancers and people and it was so loud until 10PM and began again around 7:30AM. Just wish the event was mentioned during the phone call!
My wife and i were visiting her sister and her husband for the weekend; we were skeptical of staying in a hotel during the pandemic but the Holiday Inn made us feel at ease. The hotel implemented good safety and social distancing measures to ensure comfortability. The staff was very nice and accommodating, and our room was nice and clean as well.
Room was gross. Rates were high and not indicative of the quality. Feels like they’re taking advantage of high demand and not a lot of options around the Skan area. One of our friends had a room with peeling wallpaper and mold underneath it. Good luck relaxing there.
Our stay was great. Wish there was a place for dirty towels in the room. I would NOT recommend the restaurant in the hotel. Food was good wait was almost 2 hours after we sat down and we didn’t get everything we ordered. They never gave us utensils to eat with or napkins.
Tthe front desk staff made us feel right at home with warm and friendly personalities. The General Manager stopped by our table while dining to inquire about the food and our overall stay. We appreciated his hospitality. The beds are comfortable, room was clean and our overall stay was fabulous. We highly recommend this property.
Staff did not offer to help me with my luggage and bike when I arrived after completing a 400-mile charity bike ride. Totally uninterested and indifferent. Water main break meant I had no water to flush toilet, wash hands, fix a cup of tea or brush my teeth. No compensation or mitigation measures offered ( bottled water, hand sanitizer, discount on room or free breakfast). Breakfast was good, but enormous portion size meant half got thrown out. What a waste!
The bed was comfortable and room clean. We were there for multiple days and even though we requested an early check in, we arrived later and our room still wasn’t ready at 5 pm. Our room wasn’t cleaned the next night until after 5 pm, it wasn’t vacuumed. Bathroom needs a fan as the smoke alarm goes off of door isn’t completely closed, and the bathroom ceiling had some mold on it. It was a decent experience, but service could be turned up a bit. When we requested something from janitorial staff - he was excellent! He was efficient and smiled too - that makes all the difference - I wish I caught his name.
We were here for a hockey tournament. A fact that was established at check-in and seemed to lead to deserving of less service from there forward. The layout is nice but they closed the pool as soon as we got there even though it was posted to close two hours later. The system for kids it free was not followed and became our fault for not getting coupons at checkin. The breakfast service was slow and impossible to get staffs attention with only three tables and at least 3 staff. The beds were super comfortable but tempered by the peeling wall paper and mold on the shower ceiling.
We booked this hotel last minute after cancelling another room in a nearby hotel. Upon arrival at 8 pm our room hadnt been cleaned. The management quickly switched our rooms but that was a hassle after a very long day. Our second room was clean and perfect for our small family. We slept well and enjoyed the pool in th AM. We did have small problems with the lighting inside the pool (falling out of a housing), the sink fixture wasnt attached, and the air conditioning stopped working sometime during the night. All minor inconveniences but they all added up. Aside from that we had a nice stay in a very scenic and historically influential community. I would absolutely recommended this hotel.
This hotel was really nice to stay in. We arrived and had a very quick check in! We had a balcony that over looked the pool. Beautiful seating area to visit in. My daughter was able to swim while I was talking to my son and daughter in law who I havent seen in a month. All while holding my new grandson!! I felt comfortable the whole stay. Room was spacious, fridge was very cold. Beds, comfy. We are already looking to go back in September!!
PROS: Amazing staff, great accommodations even under Covid-19, loved the room and setup, bed was comfy and clean, was able to sleep soundly during day as I worked overnights, great parking.CONS: No room service/housekeeping during Covid-19, which in all fairness was okay. I would have liked clean linens, plastic bags, essential itmes delivered to door daily to accommodate the change. The paper bagged breakfast was a nice touch but variety would have been better. Overall it was a nice and relaxing stay. I am certain it would have been better under different circumstances... especially the breakfast options.
The room smelled like smoke, I had an asthma attack instantly, we complained they moved our room, there were dust chunks on the pillows, spilled food in fridge, we paid for breakfast Sunday and didn’t go to eat. The air conditioner did not work it was over 80 degrees in the room no one could sleep. I would like some compensation for thei terrible experience we had. I ran to the room in a rush and my keys did not work, I ended up missing my daughters dance.
My husband and I recently stayed here and enjoyed it very much. We were with group of friends who also enjoyed their stay, though I think we got the better room, being in the back and away from courtyard and pool, which was kind-of noisy. The facilities were top notch, the bar food was excellent! and the staff extremely friendly and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
Disappointed for numerous reasons.-Room phone doesn’t have dial tone to access front desk -Called front desk numerous times from cell phone and no answer-Bathroom door broken and unable to close door while using toilet or showering. Essentially, due to a full length mirror, everyone in your whole room can see you going to the bathroom or showering -Same broken door makes closet inaccessible -2 towels for 4 people-Toilet seat totally disconnected on one side-Bathtub doesn’t drain -Pool closes early at 8pm
When I arrived it was very late at night. The desk manager was very receptive in friendly. I was in my room within 5 minutes. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff on the following day were exceptionally friendly, probably the friendliest Ive ever seen a staff in a hotel. Check out was simple. Price was right. I would recommend this place any time.
The Holiday Inn was conveniently located, and the bed was comfortable. However, our suite did not have and bedding included for the sofa bed. When we pulled out the sofa bed, we were disappointed to see that the mattress was falling apart. The room was not well-cleaned, debris on the carpet and garbage leftover from the previous guests under the sink. I do not recommend this location.
Beds and pillows are comfortable. The front desk staff was helpful, cheerful and always pleasant. Some issues with internet and tv caused by spectrum, not the hotel’s fault. Outage did not last that long. Room phones were not working well. Toilets flushed slow and sometimes incomplete. Doors to rooms slammed shut quite noisy. Softer closing would be nice.
This hotel is well located and extremely well run. The staff was pleasant and even though I was a last-minute booking and a late arrival, I was welcomed and accommodated. The hotel was easy to find and parking was ample. The property itself is a bit of an older style, but it was fairly well-maintained. The indoor pool is a nice extra. It was an easy property at which to stay. I would stay here again if I were in the area.
The air conditioning unit kept alarming out and would not run. The toilet was very slow to flush almost like it was plugged. The shower stalls drain was very slow as well. Shower curtain wasn’t long enough so water was running onto bathroom floor. The room itself was nice and clean. Front desk employee was very nice and helpful.
Auburn was great location from where you can visit wineries. this hotel gave us a handout on the precautions they took to make our stay during covid19 safe and good. Their location in Auburn might give someone hesitancy to stay --- BUT -- the staff and their preparedness is excellent. We had a great stay. Our first rooms air conditioner was not working properly and the staff was able to get another room in a clean and safe manner. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
Upon arrival we were greeted by one of the friendliest hotel employees we have ever met. Patti was just exceptional, obviously loved her job and loved people. The lobby area is bright and well kept, pool area very attractive. Our room was very clean and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Hotel was very quiet, no noise from outside the room at all. The only complaint we had was with the bathroom. The toilet didnt flush properly, taking 2-3 flushes and combinations of holding down the handle to completely flush it. The sink did not drain properly; it was very slow. And the vent-fan in the bathroom was next to useless. The bathroom definitely needs to be upgraded. However, there were tons of lovely towels - Made in America! - and everything was very clean.
The hotel is recently renovated. The lobby, the pool area and gym are all very nice. Burger Theory restaurant is good. Lots of good beer on tap and drink specials. Most of the rooms are renovated. I had some issues with my tub draining, but Kim and Fran at the front desk were willing to do what was necessary to make everything right.
EDITED.I honestly wouldnt even give this hotel 1/2 a star.. we reserved rooms and drove 3 1/2 hours. The room that was given to us was NOT cleaned , the toilet seat was disgusting the beds were gross, I took pictures but this review will not let me post pictures apparently We were able to switch rooms when I went to set the one bed up for my children there was blood on the sheet... the room smelt so bad and the drain in the tub did not drain..as well as the 2nd room that we reserved the microwave and coffee marker were broken... I would NOT reccomend this hotel to anyone. Not to mention its right next to a correctional facility.. wonderful!I was told several times that the general manager can take care of me.. I was told he will be in tomorrow that quickly changed to he wont be in for a week, I talked to Steven, and a couple different front desk reps over the course of a week in a half. Trying to receive my refund that pauline had processed it was processing in my back for the whole 136 amount. Then they canceled the refund, I know they did because I called my bank like pauline told me to do stating your bank probably has a hold on the refund my bank said no they only gave me back 25$. I called the hotel back and the same lady that claims shes not responsible, even tho everyone I talked to when calling everyday for a week said Pauline is responsible for this you have to call back when shes here tomorrow pauline stated that she didnt know I was refunded 25$ and thats all on getting back. Im sorry what? For blood on my sheets and the coffee and microwave not working and being assigned a room that was dirty. I had to go down stair 5 times for different things in the course of 1NIGHT. Everything else would have been manageable but BLOOD on my sheets? I have pictures!!I wish I was making this up! I told them I was going to call corporate if I didnt hear anything yesterday and what do you know NOTHING. so I called corporate and they said we cant help you because the hotel gave you a partial refund already but you can continue to ca the hotel to try and get the refund that was processing in your account and taken back. LMAO a partial refund? What they gave me back the taxes they charged me for the room Unbelievable and since nobody is calling, or returning my money I will copy and paste this review everywhere I can to warn other people of this hotel. Its a scam management is a joke and corporate has filed a case with this hotel. I hope they at least get in trouble. Please with covid DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL. Im sure theres a lot more I could say but over the course of 8 days of calling the hotel I cant remember everything from every call.
Had a very bad experience with a leaky air conditioner that got all my clothes soaked. Brought it to the attention of the front desk, which did not follow through with what they said they were doing. Emailed General Manager got no response. Tried to reach management company got no where. Left a review on Google and got a basically too bad response from someone. Not the usual Holiday Inn
Our family of 5 recently visited this hotel and stayed for several nights while attending a conference that was also being held at the hotel. The staff was excellent and very attentive to the needs of the group of over 100 people that were staying with them while attending the convention. They did an exceptional job with our banquet and were always willing to help with any problems that arose. The only complaint that my husband and I had was that the beds in our room were way too soft. Granted the hotel is undergoing renovation and we were told that the newer room have new beds that are more comfortable. I will definitely recommend this hotel to others and am very happy with the way that the weekend went. Thank you to the staff for an excellent job accommodating our group!!
Will never stay again. Checked in took me three times to walk downstairs to get cards that actually worked for my room. Then they didn’t after one try, had to move rooms. Called asking for a manager mon tues wed and today “thurs”! Finally got through for them to say just have to wait for my money back on my card since we paid cash. Worst customer service.
Bed wasnt that comfortable . The toilet ran all.night on off on off the pool right out side our door made it very difficult to take a nap. Most hotels have enclosed pools so you cant hear the constant kids playing in the pool . When we got to our room it was literally 63 degree in there wow.
I’m not very impressed, had to wait 20 minutes to get into the doors on a cold night to check in. The shower water pressure is extremely poor. I’ve had rooms with only 1 big towel to dry off with. I’ve had many rooms without a TV channel list. Just recently on my last stay I booked a king suite and wasn’t given one. The only reason I stay here is because it is convenient!!
The room was dirty on arrival. We asked for the room to be cleaned and it was never cleaned.I dont mean to say that the beds were not made or the room had trash. What is being referred to is the surfaces of the phone, the table and sink counters, they were grimmie. I dont know if the cleaner cause this grime, or if the surfaces were not cleaned properly? I cannot tell you the answer to the question previously stated, because the room was never cleaned at the request!
We had a nice time in the suite and really enjoyed the 2 tv’s with a toddler. We thought the atrium pool area was too cold to swim and there were a couple of issues with the room but the staff addressed it when I brought it to their attention. Housekeeping needs to be more thorough and bring maintenance issues to management so repairs don’t need to be requested by customers. When I asked about coffee in the lobby I was told, “That’s not IHG standard.” From my experience it has been and should be. The restaurant was too busy to be getting c
From the moment we entered, the polite greeting and help from Jeanine was excellent. There was a large girls hockey team making a ruckus in the pool and hallways. We arrived late...9ish pm. By 10, the hotel was silent!!!! No noise and excellent sleep. The room was small but clean for the 3 children and 2 adults...with a tight roll-away, but fine. Only negative the entire trip was a dirty washcloth in the shower and hair in there upon arrival. The chamber maid, Ingrid, was amazing; kind, clean, and provided us all we need over the stay...she got tipped $3 daily.Patti, the other guest service Rep was great as well and accommodated our needs including watching our channels on TV as requested at night. Mary, in the dining room, was great and took wonderful care of us and went above and beyond...yes...shes be great in the Sales office. We were there for a funeral and loved all but having a family member near us in the hotel...but we succeeded in avoiding their presence most of the time. Oh...great free breakfast for the children...only 2 meals available, not open for lunches as reservation had said.
We went for Christmas breakfast in the falls room. The hotel has updated their decor to be more modern and more of a sleek design. Their Christmas breakfast isnt what it used to be with a omelet station but it was decent and the price was good. Mindy and Be were great hostess and servers. We took a quick look at the ball rooms and the pool area. Both areas are nicer and now up to date.
Maybe I expected more since I normally stay at Express hotels but there was nothing special about it. The hotel is nice. Breakfast was pricy but it was good. $10 for an omelet. I’m from the city and I pay $7 in midtown for an omelet. Pool is beautiful but impossible to enjoy because it’s open air so the pool area is cold and drafty from the AC. Very disappointed in that as we love to use the pool when we travel. I wish there was a jacuzzi since it’s freezing. My room was not cleaned properly. Bed looked like it was made by a 10 yr old who heard their mother pull into the driveway and needed to hurry up before she saw it unmade. Wine glasses from the day before and dirty plastic cups not taken away. My toddler spilled chips and I cleaned as much as I could by hand but the maid didn’t bother to sweep or vacuum the crumbs I couldn’t get. I will say the staff was amazing. Everyone was really sweet.
Upon check in, we were given a small bag with snacks as a Thank you for staying with them while they are under construction, which was appreciated. This hotel is older and our room was somewhat dated. The construction was taking place on another floor than where we were staying. Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The air conditioner was on the coldest setting with the fan on high and the room was warm at night. It was somewhat better during the day. The shower head and water pressure were both very good. We were a group of 15 and had breakfast in the restaurant once. Service was very slow (20 minutes to get drink orders and an hour for the food to come and most ordered the breakfast special). Once the food came, it was good, but nothing overly special. The food was very reasonably priced. Overall, staff were very friendly and accommodating. In general, I would stay there again. Hopefully, with the construction all rooms will be updated and the air conditioning issue will be resolved.
A dump with staff that fits the hole. 4 people in a room 2 bath towels and the staff could give no more. Beds broken frame. No AC in one room. Menu in restaurant copied and was unreadable and they could not spell shrimp. Fire in kitchen at 6:15 AM blamed on someone making popcorn Mindi in the bar was great
Stayed with my Mother for six nights after her release from surgery. We needed a comfortable room , with easy access and a user friendly bathroom facility. The staff were absolutely wonderful to us!! Accommodating beyond belief , especially Patty , at the front desk and the housekeeping staff!! She went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of!!The room was extremely comfortable and the food was outstanding, including room service!! We even used the spa and salon facilities. Everyone was incredibly attentive and helpful!! Would recommend highly!!!!!
The desk staff was very nice , friendly and helpful. My issues are as follows: there was a very dirty paper mask hanging from the wall mirror when we checked in,there were no housekeeping staff in sight, we reported it to the desk clerk when we left the following day and she apologized and made note of it. Also, the bathroom barn door has about a one inch gap, there is no obvious way to close or lock it to provide any security.
The Holiday Inn Auburn was basically what I had expected when I booked it. I needed a room for a night because our main hotel for our stay was booked for the first night of our trip. The lobby was very nice and the check in people were very kind. When we got to our room, the room smelled musty and had an odor of a past smoker being there. The hotel was nicely located with many restaurants and stores nearby. The pool had a group of screaming children, which is fine and to be expected. Annoying to me, but again, something I need to tolerate. However, the adult partying that night went until around 3 am and should not have been allowed. I had called for a late checkout and was granted until 12:30, but received a bit salty call around 11:30 asking if we were checking out. Person said that they had not be alerted to my request. Breakfast buffet was very good and price was reasonable, however, we got there around 10 am and items were under stocked. French toast was completely out and we notified waitress. Understandably took time to make, but then felt rushed out with check at 11, the breakfast closing time
Dirty rooms at check in then checked into new rooms with dirty bathrooms! No extra linens. No breakfast available. One room we reserved out of three was not even ready until after 10pm. When we inquired about early check in the second day, the manager replied with “that’s a negative” very rudely!
We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn and were sadly disappointed after all the renovations. All our issues deal with management who need to spend greater attention to details. The elevator on Holy Family side of building is dirty and the fan always makes loud noises. The barn door in our room never worked properly even after maintenance tried fixing. Door was not on track was very difficult to move and was very noisy. Two light bulbs were missing and were replaced by staff after we asked. The bed was comfortable and room was clean.
I was very happy with the room and the overall condition of the property. We attended a concert in the area and the band we went to see was also staying at the hotel. We met them back in the hotel after the show and they were hungry and had to go across the street to Subway. I think management should have had the bar operating with food available later than 9 pm, especially on a Friday night
I stayed at this hotel knowing it was being renovated. I was nervous that there would be noise or dust or some other problem. But I was very pleasantly surprised. The entrance to the lobby isnt finished and I followed signs to get to the lobby. There I was greeted warmly with fresh baked cookies, fruit and infused water. I was placed in a completely modern room where everything was so new and HGTV decor. There were lots of outlets for devices and a very thoughtful mobile table that I used to lay out my work. The bathroom was gorgeous. The bedding was comfortable. The restaurant is a treasure and even if I stayed somewhere else I would drive there for dinner. Great stay, great value, easy check out and very pleasant staff.
Hotel states that it was recently renovated. That is not reflected by the condition of the hotel or rooms. We had a suite. Furnishings were not what I would expect for a suite. Wall around the air conditioner was missing wall paper. Dining services there should be skipped. The burger restaurant the food was cold and chicken fingers burnt and really didnt resemble chicken fingers. Breakfast was also cold. Front desk staff was great. Honestly, if you can get a good rate and are just looking for a bed, then you will not be disappointed, but if you are looking for a renovated, full service hotel you will be happy with, you may be served better elsewhere.
We paid for 2 rooms - for a birthday weekend. We chose this hotel for the indoor pool and location. There are signs everywhere that say NO food or beverage by the pool or in the pool area. The hotel does not enforce this policy and it is horrible. The pool had over 10 people, fully clothed, not using the pool, with full bottles of wine and alcohol. Doing shots and drinking the night away. Not at all appropriate. They used ALL of the pool chairs and were not even using the pool.No one fixed this. The whole point of being able to swim til 10 pm was ruined. We tried again the next morning - but the pool did not open at 9 am as it should. They had drained over 2 feet of water and said they didnt know when it would open. Check out is at 11 am - so again no swimming. The hotel needs to follow and enforce its own policies. And hire staff to work when needed - so that things like the pool are open during the posted hours.I contacted them and was promised a call to fix things. It is 5 days later and still no call.I feel they should give us a free return stay so we can have the birthday get away we planned. Also, details matter, the HBO guide was from the previous month. And the pillow cases say firm and soft, but had the wrong pillows in them.
At check in which was in the evening the front desk employee seemed confused and overwhelmed with checking in a party of 3 with 3 different rooms. All of The Front desk staff during the day time hours was excellent. Francis who was a new employee will definitely be an asset to Holiday Inn. I just had 2 issues. One was that my room was not made up on my first night stay. Second, when I brought the very slow, practically dribbling bathroom faucet to the attention of hotel staff, no one ever came by to fix it. Breakfast was very good, but Expensive! Other than those things, the the bed was comfortable.
The lady at the front desk started our awesome experience off right. Super nice and friendly. They had a voting table for their decorated pumpkins that we very creative. The room was nice and clean. The bed and pillows were beyond comfy. The fitness room and pool were a great bonus.
I attended a wedding in Auburn and stayed two nights at this Holiday Inn. It was conveniently located close to town and the wedding location. The rooms are big, nice size refrigerator and coffee and tea in the room. The beds are new but much to soft (pillow puff type) for me. Thats why I gave a poor, but it might be great for others. In my room, the shower had poor water pressure due to most of it coming out of the tub spout. Probably an easy fix for maintenance. Others I traveled with did not have this issue. The hotel common area is very cold so bring a sweater or jacket! The AC certainly works well. They gym offers just enough for a decent workout. Free weights, universal machine, a couple of benches and several cardio machines. Overall I would recommend it and I had a nice stay.
We stayed at this holiday Inn to visit family. They told us how it had been renovated, so it should be really nice! It looked good from afar. My first clue that it was dirty was the sign at the front desk which looked like someone’s coffee had been spilled on it. Then we walked by the super cloudy pool to our room. Kids wanted to go and we said “no way!” The room was oddly renovated, but looked newer. Looked like there had been a leak, from ceiling down walls. Then the bathroom had a rough chevron shower pattern which I would never want to clean at my home! It had all black mold growing in it! The hotel was full, but they offered to possibly move us. We declined because we were completely unpacked. They started doing construction in the parking lots next to our car without warning—it was covered in dirt! If it weren’t for the nice staff, good breakfasts and new mattresses, we would have had an awful experience! They should get raises!
I booked my room through the Holiday Inn App.The App asked if I wanted to pay $10 more for breakfast.I paid the $10 but there was only complementary bag breakfast. Water, banana, and breakfast bar.I brought this to the attention of the staff and they were very nice and offered me anything from the food they had available for sale.
Although it was a rough beginning the manager was more then polite and accommodating. We requested an early check in. We arrived at 1:30 was told our room wasnt ready. Was told it would be about 30-45 minutes. Decided to go to the local Wal-Mart for a few things. Arrived back to the hotel at about 2:45 only to find out that the room still wasnt ready. We had to get ready for a wedding and had to be there by 4pm. The manager asked us if we were waiting to be check in. I informed him of what was going on and he was very nice and apologetic. Put us in a couple of rooms so that we could get ready for the wedding. Once we were all ready then we were able to put our belongings in our correct room. The manager also gave us 4 complimentary breakfasts. Seeing the were 4 of us.over all it was an alright stay. The hotel bar was nice and the breakfast was good.
This hotel has been completely updated. The rooms are thoughtfully designed with convenient outlets. The breakfast had a good selection with made to order items. There was a nice menu included with the room. My waitress was very pleasant. I do miss the Irish Pub that was located there previously. Now there is a hamburger place with a limited menu. I reviewed the menu but decided to eat somewhere else. There were a few non hamburger choices ( chicken fingers, steak). Overall a nice stay.
The room smelled like smoke I had them come up there the woman was very rude and inconsiderate says she smells nothing and just walked out. The faclities man went above and beyond and was actually embarrassed by this womans actions. He suggested we run the a/c which didnt work and he had to come fix. Offered us spray to cover the smell. he did bring us a fan we were able to open up and circulate some air. The toilet ran non stop. I didnt even call on that one because the woman was so rude. I understand there was a dance competition going on and I have been in the customer service business for a long time and have never had someone act like that. Her staff was embarrassed to even have anyone deal with her. Front desk staff and facilities were trying to make everything right and this woman was just flat out rude to her employees and customers.
Very relaxing stay. Plush room very comfortable and quiet with a great view of the pool. The breakfast which was included in our room price was very good. We could order anything from the menu without a limit. The pool was clean and warm with plenty of towels. The air temperature in the pool area was pretty cold though once you were wet. Thats the only negative thing I can say about my stay. I would definitely stay again.
I rated my review based on how the hotel and restaurant staffs treated us. A very friendly and welcoming people. The comment I made in this survey is about the finishing touches and details in the room and washroom. I could be better. It looked rushed and cheap. Do it right and it will be alright. Second thing was my suggestion. I haven’t experienced in holiday inns and most of the hotel I stayed in. A quick call just to kno if I have everything I needed in my hotel room would go a long time way. It will make me feel at ease and comfortable that someone truly cares about my stay.
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. It is under renovations so it its not very appealing at first look. You have to go through a side door and through a hallway to get to the office. There is plastic on the floors to cover the carpet. But the rooms are very clean and the rooms look great. The pool area is nice too but the pool was a little cool. My Boys didnt mind but my husband got out pretty quickly. We stayed here for a hockey tournament but would stay there again. It looks like it will be a really nice hotel when the renovations are done.
I stayed here for one night in the middle of the week while driving across the state. Its in a convenient location not far from the Thruway, but not deep into Syracuse, which I was bypassing. The hotel rooms are newly renovated with contemporary furnishings and many places to plug in and charge devices. My room overlooked an indoor atrium with a small swimming pool - a funny throwback to a different time in hotel design. An outdoor window would have been preferable, but theres not much of a view to miss out on. The hotel restaurant serves a decent breakfast.
No matter how cold the weather there is always a warm welcome and even warmer stay. The staff proved consistent excellent service with a personal touch. Ive traveled there multiple times under stressful situations and have found everyone doing their best to make me feel at home. The restaurant is a cozy place providing delicious comfort food the wait staff always friendly and willing to please. The desk staff always a warm welcome constantly attentive to your needs and comfort. They have become friends and i look forward to my visits.stay every time. The rooms are clean and comfortable. And one day I will remember to bring a bathing suit and go for a swim! Thank you for such a good experience time and time again.
I was extremely disappointed in this hotel. I have stayed in many Holiday Inns thoughout my adult life and had great rooms and good rates.......this was NOT one of them. The room smelled as soon as we opened the door. To add insult to injury, the a/c and heat only worked the 1st night. I mentioned this to the front desk at 11am and they said they would send maintenance to fix. When we returned to the room at 4pm, no one had fixed the a/c unit and the room smelled musty and moldy. And the room had not been cleaned! I had to look for a cleaning staff person just to get clean towels so we could shower and go out for our function. I was told they had to get the vacated rooms cleaned before they could clean guest rooms already occupied, understandable....EXCEPT, check-out is 11am. It takes 5 hrs to clean and still occupied rooms not cleaned???????? This is my hometown and I was there for a reunion. I should have stayed at another hotel. I will never stay there again and have already told everyone of my classmates just how bad it is.
The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The room was spacious, with abundance of electrical plugs and USB outlets. The TV is a big flat screen, with many channels, including HBO.The bathroom had many towels and enough toiletries for a weekend stay. The drains in both the shower and the sink were clogged, so taking the shower was out of the question. Fortunately, I only stayed 1 night. I brought the issue up to the staff in the morning and was told that the problem will be immediately taken care of. For my inconvenience, I received a complimentary breakfast, which was very good.
We found a sock in our room, so it made us believe that our room wasn’t cleaned as well as it should have been, or at all. The dock was next to the bed so a simple vacuum would have caught it.Also even though there is no smoking/ room smelled like smoke abs smelled it periodically throughout our stay.
We booked this hotel as we were in town for a wedding and the couple selected this as one of their blocks. Needless to say we couldnt have been more disappointed. Especially for the amount of money we paid. Im from Philadelphia and you can get a much nicer hotel for that amount or even less in the busy city. There were stains on the wall, the sink stopper was barely working and the carpet was gross. The single cup Keurig was the nicest thing in the room. The walls are very thin and kids can be heard screaming as well as drunk adults all throughout the day and night. Im guessing its because the pool is in the middle and everything severely echoes to all of the rooms. We went out in the morning before the wedding to grab breakfast and explore some of the nearby towns. We got back at about 2p.m. and our room was not done. I was mostly concerned about not having clean towels so I called down to the front desk. I kept being routed to the operator which rang and rang and rang and rang. I quickly gave up. When we were getting ready, around 3:00, housekeeping finally came to do our room. We obviously couldnt leave, but they did eventually come back. Overall I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and especially not to wedding couples that want their guests to have a comfortable place to stay.
We recently stayed here to visit family during the Thanksgiving holiday, and enjoyed it so much that our three night stay felt like a relaxing, long holiday. With family in the area, this was our sixth stay here in as many years, so we were already familiar with the room (and have been graciously granted the privelege of getting the same room each time, as requested). The breakfast vouchers are absolutely worth it - the portions are big and filling. The hotel is truly only minutes away from many of the local attractions, and about an hour or less from Syracuse.I have had long stays at this hotel for business reasons, and thanks to the spacious areas and quiet space, I truly consider this a cozy home away from home. The room is sufficiently spacious enough so that I have never felt cramped or anxious to leave while stuck at the desk doing work or on conference calls. And the beds and pillows offer a good nights sleep, too.A big plus for us is the huge, heated pool, which, when not overly inhabited by children or groups, has felt like our own private swimming spot! One of our favorite places to splash and relax. The rooms facing it might occasionally get some of the noise, but most people respect the quiet hours, and Ive found the room to be fairly quiet at all times. The hotel is clean, though perhaps not yet too modernized, but we have always been able to keep the room cool enough in the summer and warm enough in the harsh cold of Auburns winter. The staff has also always been alert and friendly. Its been days, yet I can still remember that it was Mindy pouring our coffee with a smile, and that Steve has always helped ensure we get our favorite spot.If you are traveling through and need a place to unwind, as well, this is the spot to book! And get the breakfast package. Well worth it.
The hotel had very nice accommodations. Food was well done, room service was quick and better tasting than I expected. There was a lovely pool with several families enjoying time together, even though they woke me up every morning with their laughter. Rooms were clean, bed was comfy, and the shower was very large. I would stay agajn.
I am guessing COVID has another victim with this Holiday Inn. There was dirt in our bed, with one side not completely tucked in. A used washcloth in the bathroom, with a used piece of soap. So evidently, someone had used our room before we were given it. That being said, staff refused to come in and clean or replace linens. They did give us clean linens, but we needed to change the bedding ourselves.Bed was comfortable, room was nice - ButCant in good conscience recommend currently.
Im a Platinum member and booked room well in advance. Upon arrival I received first floor room despite having high floor preference in my account. Of course I havent received any upgrade because hotel was overbooked. After I entered the room, I noticed that:- shades are closed and remote doesnt work to open them.- door to the bathroom dont fully close, leaving a gap that cat can use to enter- shower switch is broken and I couldnt turn shower off completely.- the was no coffee cups for coffee maker.During two nights stay I contacted reception every day to fix those issues, but they never did, neither they moved me to another room. I spent two days in dark cave with open bathroom layout, couldnt fill the bath.I also opted out of cleaning service as I always do in Holiday inn, but on second day they entered room and made worst cleaning I ever seen.I dont know how they managed to accommodate us in this room #139 knowing about all these issues.Should I say that receptionists were extremely unfriendly?
We arrived sans reservation due to a bad experience at a different Auburn hotel. Our lack of booking did not phase Patti at all, she extended a warm, friendly welcome and efficiently booked us into the room of our choice. A special request was handled quickly and efficiently. Her kindness and congeniality set the tone of our stay and we enjoyed every minute of our oh-so-short time at the Auburn Holiday Inn. The room looked and smelled clean, the bed was comfortable and the sheets were nice. All good. Special thanks and kudos to the amazing Patti.
Stayed here for a wedding in the area. Restaurant staff was lovely. The room was very dated, and there was a candy wrapper next to the bed. After that, the issues escalated. The toilet didnt flush right, and the tub didnt drain right. Maintenance did fix the issues but the bathroom strangely had the stopper system pulled out when I first came into the room so someone knew there was an issue and I should think housekeeping would have summoned someone beforehand. The air conditioner was somewhat noisy. Not really sure why this hotel was selected by friends for a wedding stay because it was really sub-par. Hope the fact that they are renovating will improve things. It just was not worth the price and I would stay elsewhere if I ever came to the Finger Lakes again.
The hotel was clean. That’s the plus. My bed had a crater on the edge, caused by repeated during on ge side that had been there for a while. The toilet was clogged when we checked in and wasn’t fixed until the morning. I had to use the hotel for a business event. If it wasn’t held there I wouldn’t stay there.
The front desk staff was wonderful. She was very congenial and willing to go above and beyond. I greeted all the staff I encountered during my stay and found them to be kind. The newly renovated facilities were beautiful, I wish I had time to utilize the pool and exercise rooms.
To start off we arrived Friday night as a family and previously called and asked to have adjoining balcony rooms, one family was put on the other side of the hallway while the room with adjoining balcony’s had no one in it, doors slamming all night, people in the pool at 3 am, people screaming and singing at all hours of the night and a strong scent of weed at 6 am, made a reservation Friday night for the pool for 7 pm Saturday night went to get the key to find out that the worker never put our name on the list then made a reservation for Sunday morning at 10 am to only again find out that the worker from the night before had not put our name on the list , the worker who we tried to talk too about the pool issue was more concerned about the person on the phone than fixing the problem they created TWICE, payed extra money for breakfast to only find out there wasnt breakfast. i have been coming to this hotel for the longest time and this is the only time i’ve ever had a problem with the hotel

2022-05-03The hotel was generally clean, accommodating, and comfortable for our event. The staff maintained a professional demeanor, interacted appropriately, and were overall welcoming. Our group, which rented the entire hotel, had a strict mask and vaccination policy in order to attend the event- it would have been great to see more masks on staff because of the risk of exposure that customer service professionals present and the rise of covid cases at present. Otherwise, the stay was nice.

2022-05-05My stay in Auburn was fantastic! Super attentive staff from check in to departure. Melissa in housekeeping was an absolute joy and very attentive. Interacted with a few maintenance folks as well and Briton and so many others were beyond helpful. Matt was onsite and professional, flexible, and easy going. Front desk staff was efficient and prepared, and also addressed a concerning individual loitering on the property with grace. The sweet potato fries in the restaurant were perfection! Overall a great stay.

2022-04-13We recently stayed for 4nights/ 5 days while visiting our daughter for her birthday. We reserved a king room and was informed once we were there in order to get our Military/government rate we could only get a standard room with 2 full beds. First time we have ever been told that and needless to say, when you’re both tall people, full size beds just don’t cut it, unless you like having your feet hang off a bed. We also were informed that we could not have breakfast unless we paid a regular room rate. We chose this property because we always choose Holiday Inn or Holiday Inn Express because of their friendly staff, comfortable big beds and pillows, cleanliness of rooms and property and continental breakfast. We did not receive any room service our entire stay (beds unmade, reused dirty towels and wash cloths and garbage not emptied). After the second day of not receiving room service, I asked at the gentleman at the front desk for clean towels and wash cloths and asked if the housekeeper, who was in the room next to ours cleaning at the time, could at least get the trash and change out the towels and wash cloths. We returned a while later and six towels were thrown on the first bed (no hand towels and no wash cloths, and she took the dirty ones so we were left with no wash cloths to shower with) and the trash was still in the room. So I made our bed, and bagged the trash up and set it by the door in the hallway. On the fourth day I returned to the front desk yet again and asked about the towels, trash and beds, this time I was informed that they only clean the room and change the linens if you stay four nights…she offered to have our room cleaned the next morning, which I found humorous because we were checking out the next morning to catch a plane at 5am. Communication upon arrival would have been helpful instead of waiting until you’re at the end of your patience to find out something that should have been communicated from the beginning. Morning coffee??? Well…The coffee in the lobby was cold and nasty the two times we attempted and obviously since we never had our room service, the coffee pods in our room and coffee cups were never restocked so we could not have coffee after the first morning, so we walked across the street to Speedway every morning to get coffee. The bathroom had huge cobwebs hanging in the corner and covering the register vents, there was long dark hairs laying in the sink and on the bathroom counter when we first arrived in our room and it had a stale mildew smell that really irritated my allergies every time we entered the room. Needless to say when we decide to come back to visit our daughter, we definitely will not be staying here and will explore a different option because the stay was far less than comfortable or enjoyable. So far only one night of rewards has been credited to my rewards so we will see if the other nights get added.

2022-07-11Positive: We were greeted very professionally and staff was very friendly and accommodating. The outside was clean as well as the lobby and hallway. Good Location to stores, shopping. Overall very good experience. Negative: When we entered the room the floor was not clean (vacuumed). The bathroom tub and floor was not adequately cleaned. The towels did not smell fresh or clean and two towels and the floor mat had dirt stains on them. The ironing board top is bent.

2021-10-29Hotel was easy to find. Front desk staff friendly and welcoming. Check In was as smooth as can be. Room was comfy & clean. Bed very comfortable. I enjoy having a mini frig, microwave & coffee maker in my room so I can relax, have dinner in my room while watching TV. Having coffee first thing in the morning is always a plus as I usually have to rise about 4am!!! Nice atrium too. I was pleasantly surprised and would stay here again.

2022-07-03Ive stayed at this hotel for a total of 16 nights in 2 different king rooms during a work trip, and overall it was an excellent experience. While it is not perfect hotel, it is one of my favorite I have ever stayed in. There are three things important to me when staying at a hotel: comfort, safety, and cleanliness. Noise is to be expected when youre in a building surrounded by other people. Though the hotel is sparsely occupied on weekdsys. In both rooms, the bed was very comfortable and the AC worked perfectly in the hot summer heat. Despite the areas crime statistics online, no one broke into my car or room during my stay, or anyone elses in the lot that I know of.Both rooms were overall clean, though my second had some darker colored mystery stains on two of the towels, one pillow and one sheet. While inconvenient, it didnt ruin my stay. The wait staff was very friendly and gave me a do not disturb sign when I didnt have one in my first room. You can sometimes hear the neighbors but its pretty rare. I will definitely be staying here again in the future. It is by no means a perfect hotel, you get what you pay for. However the boxes are checked for the most important features. I slept well, felt safe, and overall pretty clean spaces.

2022-04-10The bed was absolutely comfortable! Rooms are clean, there was a mix up at the front desk but the concierge Nicole was so nice and helpful and was diligent on making sure the mix up was taking care of quickly and with any further issue. We try and stay at different places to compare and we have to say the holiday inn in auburn will be somewhere we visit frequently. Thank you and see you again soon!

2022-02-10The exceptional service started with my first phone call to book our room. I spoke with Nicole, and she was the most pleasant person on the phone! Upon check in, I was greeted by Nicole and I was extremely pleased that she remembered speaking to me on the phone. The hotel was Occupied that evening by sports teams, birthday parties and those just traveling. The time came for the pool area to close and many adults were still socializing. Instead of shooing the adults to their rooms, Nicole provided us with an area to co to use out conversations, that would be not be disruptive to any other guests. The rooms were perfect and the entire property was clean! The best part about this entire stay, from booking to check out, was hands down your staff member, Nicole!!!!!!

2022-05-07Great Staff! They hosted a convention i was helping volunteer for a few weekends back. Everyone there was very awesome to work with for setup and logistics. Super efficient check-in, more efficient than our own convention registration check-in! I expect well be back there again next year as it was a great space. The atrium certainly adds alot of potential for performances and socializing.

2022-05-28We ended up at the Holiday Inn unexpectedly, after Days Inn “lost” (read: refused) our confirmed stay through Booking.com. We called around to other hotels nearby at 1am, after a long drive. Front desk staff Nikole was so kind and cheery, and gave us a great rate for the room! When we arrived, she was very personable and offered amazing customer service. The lobby was clean, open, and had cool amenities. Considering we came from a really rough motel with combative staff, we were very impressed. Rooms were clean and fresh, bed was comfortable, the pool was great! A tiny thing, but even the shampoos and soaps in the bathroom were brand name. (Dove and Bath & Body Works, wow!) So thankful to Nikole for saving us, haha!
