This hotel was very nice, clean and well staffed. The breakfast was amazing with a lot of choices. It was the first hotel I have been in with my favorite breakfast: sausage, biscuit, gravy. The only downside to my stay was the hot tub was out of order. I was looking forward to using the hot tub and it would have been nice to have a heads up that it was out of order. But, overall it was a great experience and I highly recommend this hotel.
This hotel is a very nice option when staying in the area. It is conveniently located, easy to find and has ample parking in a well lit lot. The hotel appeared to be well maintained both inside and out. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and kept fresh. There is a nice seating area with a firepit out front under a wooden arbor. I would recommend this hotel as a nice option and would stay here again if back in the area.
It was our first time in the Finger Lakes region. We were celebrating our 37 the wedding anniversary. We chose this location because it was central and quite accessible. The hotel was excellent, the room was extremely comfortable , the staff was great. Taylor and Herb at the Front Desk were very attentive and accommodating. The kitchen and dining room area were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great. Lots of options and the kitchen staff were very attentive and accommodating as well. They kept the food well stocked. We had a great time in the area.
Clean, friendly and a spacious great room to hang out in. The indoor pool and hot tub are perfect after a long day of wineries. Small market place served by front desk. Breakfast was fresh, well cooked. Coffee is a little ...old? Great value with the included breakfast. Outdoor fire pit is good addition.
Our family of 6 stayed here for 5 nights and had a great experience! Clean and spacious rooms were a welcome sight. The breakfast was the best variety we’ve had at a hotel this year. This was the best indoor hotel pool we’ve seen yet! The staff was so friendly and cordial and we felt very welcomed. Will definitely stay here again when we revisit in 6 months or so.
We stayed at this property for a friends wedding which was held at a local winery. The hotel was beautiful and very clean. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever encountered at a hotel. Staff was very friendly and attentive. I am actually a travel agent and I would definitely recommend this hotel to family, friends and clients. Its location is very convenient to many wineries and Hobart college.
We truly enjoyed our stay at your Geneva location. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was just perfect, as I am in a wheelchair and there was plenty of room for me to get around. The bed and pillows were so comfortable, I slept fantastic! We also swam in the pool which was so relaxing and the breakfast was hot and delicious. We will definitely be back!
Very clean, well run. Staff very friendly. Dining attendants did a great job at making sure tables were cleaned after guests left and that plenty of breakfast options were available. We were late stragglers, and the one gentleman checked to be sure we had our fill before he shut down the service line. There was also a lovely seating area outdoors with a fire pit, as well as a few other outdoor spaces. Really nicely designed and maintained.Definitely will stay again when visit the area.
From the moment you walk in the Hotel the staff treat you with the upmost respect and want to make sure you have the best stay that you can. They explained the hours for breakfast and checkout and so you can actually hear them and not trying to rush you away. I have stayed at this location for the last five years and its always been so far so good except this year the room smelled smokey or it was a cleaning solvent, anyway my wife and I did not care for the smell. Hopefully it wont smell like that when I stay next time.
My family stayed here for Thanksgiving and were blown away by the gorgeous and immaculate facility and kind staff. It couldnt have been a nicer place to spend a holiday, and we hope to be back next year. Thanks to Jackie the manager and the entire team for making our staff so special.
This was a great stop on our way to Maine. Hotel was new and nicely decorated. They had some moisture issues on the ground floor rooms, so we didn’t get that floor as requested, but I was happy not too stay where there was this problem. There were 4 wineries within a short distance of the hotel we were able to check out and plenty of places to grab lunch/dinner.
Second time staying at this hotel for an overnight… Would highly recommend. It was clean and comfortable with exceptional customer service. Free breakfast buffet included with our stay, which offered abundant choices. It opens nice and early, 6 AM, I believe. I expected a smaller selection … but you had your choice of two types of omelettes, bagels, waffles, toast, jellies, juices, several cereals including oatmeal, cinnamon buns, regular and turkey sausage, biscuits with sausage gravy, yogurts, fruits, boiled eggs, bottled water, coffee, and assorted teas. The nice host/server kept everything well-stocked and clean. Location is nice and close to everything… highly recommend!
This hotel was clean, well kept, and has friendly staff at the front desk. The breakfast is really good with a nice variety of food and beverage options. The king size bed that we had was very comfortable and it seemed quiet in the area, despite being close to a busy road not too far away. Speaking of that road, the only drawback that I noticed is that there is no traffic light when you go to pull out onto Rt. 20 and 5.
We were very pleased with our stay at the Holiday Inn Express - Finger Lakes. The king room was spacious and comfortable including a couch. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly and responsive. If you are looking for a reasonably priced lodging option with convenient access to Lake Geneva and the entire Finger Lakes Region, you should give this hotel strong consideration.
We stopped in for 2 nights on a recent road trip. The pool area was great for letting the kids burn off some energy while also getting some spa time. The room was clean, as was the whole hotel. Breakfast still had Covid precautions, with an employee serving most things (hot food and drinks/yogurts from fridge) behind a set area. The hotel is located on the edge of the town, but great location for visiting all the wineries in the area. We had a great experience!
Only stayed one night on our visit to the finger lakes.Hotel was nice. Clean and really quiet. I think they should take a lesson from the Ithica HIE on the breakfast service. We stayed away at first because it was too crowded. Absolutely no signage about keeping a distance, and no other requests about masks etc except on the front doors. Although they did have signage on the tables to denote if they were clean or not clean which was nice. And a note for those who may need a microwave in the room. I have not been in a room without one until this hotel. Really, they can be had for thirty nine bucks or less. You have to go downstairs to the lobby to heat coffee, tea etc. The only rooms with a microwave are the suites? So I was told.
I’m from Maryland and just spent 4 nights here with the family. Loved our visit. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and the breakfast had many selections. Geneva was nice with a lot of outdoor spaces and not too many crowd which I liked in the pandemic era. Finger Lakes were beautiful!!! Definitely had a great summer vacation here.
Too many problems added up to an experience not worth repeating. I was able to get the larger issues addressed by management but the overall response was lacking. Most severe issues were regarding the hot tub room we reserved, and finding out after we unpacked that it wouldn’t hold water because the drain stopper was broken. Called the front desk and the man working said, “I am here alone and I will text the manager and see what she says.” Went back up to the room to wait for a response and got nothing for over an hour. I went back down to ask what they were going to do and if they had a solution yet and he said, “Oh... the manager never texted me back. I can come up in a few minutes to look and the hot tub. We then let him come and enter the room, and after trying to close the drain and fiddling with it for a few minutes he told us it was indeed broken and he would move us to the other hot tub room.(His mask was too big as it was down under his nose while he was telling us this inside of our room.) We then switch rooms two hours after checking in to find a first impression of missing and torn furniture in comparison to the previous room we were in. Missing one dining table chair and the other one was torn to shreds. I began to fill the hot tub and ran the jets for a few minutes before getting in. I saw a disgusting brownish scum floating on the foam. I drained the tub and wiped it down, saving the soiled sponge I bought from home and towel to provide to management. We were too tired and frustrated to keep complaining at that point. We were happy that we were able to enjoy the pool and larger hot tub the next day without issue. Except there were no pool towels and we had to ask for them. And the hand sanitizer stations around the hotel were mostly empty, and there was none located in front of the 3rd floor elevator. The conditioner dispenser in the room was empty, also. We saw several guests, including “regular” workers staying there walking around in the hotel and on the elevator without masks. Before we left we encountered a housekeeper working in the hallway and another room with her mask below her chin. The morning we were scheduled to check out, I brought my complaints in a constructive criticism to the attention of the front desk attendant. She was helpful in relaying my concerns to the management as this time we received a quick response. We were called to apologize for the hot tub and room cleanliness issues and given a reduced room rate... but only to the regular suite rate to “take the up charge for the non-functional hot tub” off the bill. And an offer to personally inspect the room for cleanliness if we ever return... not too reassuring considering all of the problems we experienced.
The price of the room was completely outrageous!!! I even booked early to avoid such issues. I am originally from Geneva and make a minimum of two visits per year. I usually stay on Hamiliton as a matter of convenience, however, I will seriously re-think this before I make my next visit. Upon entry room appeared to be cleanly. Bathroom, however, did have mold in tub. Also, with three people in the room there were only towels for two. Plus, with no housekeeping without prior request, you would have no clean towels for any subsequent days.
You should definitely stay at this hotel if you are planning to be in the area for a few nights. The fire pit out front, indoor pool and hot tub inside, and the amazing Ms. Rebecca at the food court in the mornings are all just simply the best little treats to enjoy at this clean hotel. We were in the area from Virginia so I could officiate a wedding, and so having our three children along with us on this trip made it a lot more fun, and this hotel and staff helped us a great deal along the journey. Thank you all, and keep up the great work!
Positive: This hotel was in a perfect location to access the many things that we planned for our vacation. Negative: We The water in pool felt slimy, and the hot tub had brown foam floating on top. Just dirty. There was 5 times during our 3 day stay when we were unable to use our keys, and had to go to desk for new. The safe didnt work. No fan in bathroom.
We enjoyed our stay at this location. The front desk staff were very friendly, accommodating, respectful and made you feel important. The breakfast was poor due to the covid restrictions. Otherwise, I am sure it would have been good. We did not get our room cleaned unless we asked again due to covid. We were comfortable and only wish we had a microwave in our room. We had a refrigerator. We will stay here again in the future as we plan on making this a yearly visit. Lovely area.
3 days and everything went smoothly. Very good beds and pillows. Well kept both inside and outside the hotel. Breakfast is typical adequate breakfast for a Holiday inn Express type hotel. Would stay here again if the price is right. On the edge of town so nothing much to walk to.
We had a lovely stay in our spacious, very clean room. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. There was a server for the hot breakfast, so we did not have to worry about many hands touching it, and everything else was individually wrapped. We felt quite safe in this difficult time. The room was quiet and we slept well
We and our friends thoroughly enjoyed our stay on our way from Corning to Dutchess County. The hotel and grounds are very well maintained, the bedding exactly to our liking, and the staff very pleasant and accommodating - especially the gentleman in charge of the breakfast buffet. We heartily recommend the Geneva Holiday Inn Express, as well as the beautiful city of Geneva and its restaurants, wineries, and scenery.
Jordan was great he was very helpful as usual. Our room was clean, the pool was perfect. Breakfast was good (not a huge fan of omelets I wish there was always a plain eggs option) but the breakfast was still wonderful. We always have a good time when we stay we call it pandemic vacationing just to get out of our house every few weeks.
Our stay at the Holiday Inn in Geneva was excellent. This was our first getaway during the COVID pandemic and this hotel exceeded our expectation. When we arrived, the policies were clearly communicated -> no housekeeping, modified to-go breakfast, and one must check out a key to a pool - so there were no surprises. The staff was very enthusiastic. The room was specious (we had a suite) and clean on our arrival. Hotel was in easy walking distance to supermarket, and about 5 minutes drive from the lake which was great. Bathroom had a shower which had a good water pressure and wide shower head, which was good for our needs. For breakfast on Sunday they had a few hot items served by a breakfast attendant which were delicious, during weekdays there were cold items, such as pre-wrapped bagels and pastries to grab, not the best breakfast, but since it is pandemic and we were expecting this, it did not subtract from our experience. There is only one thing we can advise to improve and that is, when going on US 20 from the lake side towards the hotel, the hotel sign is hidden behind tall bushes, so by the time one sees the sign, we almost missed the turn to the hotel. If the sign can be made more visible, the hotel would be easier to find.Overall this was a great stay, thanks to all the staff for making us feel welcome, and we would definitely come back again.
Jordan went above and beyond anything I could ever imagine from a hotel concierge. He recommended a lot of good places for my girlfriend and I to visit and was very accommodating to everything. The hotel was very clean very professional and the breakfast was very good as well. I travel a lot for work so I stay at a lot of hotels. This is probably my favorite one now.
I was looking for a fun adventure for my daughters 9th birthday in lieu of a party which isnt safe during these times. I decided a hotel with a pool would be fun! And I was right. The hotel was clean and I felt safe during my entire stay. The pool area was clean and public restroom was spotless. Our room was large and fantastic! The staff was polite, friendly and attentive!
Bed was comfortable, jacuzzi was relaxing, room was nice. Fire pit was relaxing as well. My only complaint is the mask rule not being enforced and the fact there was no hand sanitizer by the coffee station . I said to my son not to touch anything there because there wasn’t any and I didn’t feel comfortable with that fact because of other guests not following COVID-19 rules. An employee overheard me and gave me some to place there. This pandemic has affected everyone and people need to be reminded to wear masks and social distance , which is highly important in a hotel.
We loved our experience at the Holiday Inn Express in Geneva, NY. The entrance is very welcoming and clean, the check-in experience was quick and we were able to get into our room without any issue. The room was spacious and clean and we felt safe during this difficult period of time. We would recommend this hotel.
This place was well worth it...very clean and one of the most comfortable beds in a hotel. Breakfast for these times was good. Only concern was we had a handicapped room on the third floor which was the farthest room from the elevator...when you have a cane ad difficulty walking it is a long way!
My girlfriend and I stayed at the Holiday inn in Geneva NY. The staff made us feel like royalty there. They were so kind, I couldnt have asked for more. The beds were soft, the bathroom looked as new and clean as the ones in the commercials. The hot tub and pool were fantastic, the breakfast staff was so nice and the food was good. We will most certainly be back to this hotel!
I was staying as part of a wedding group. I was able to check in early so I could get dressed for the wedding. There was a shuttle provided by the bride and groom as the reception was in pen yam. Everything about the hotel was great. I had time to relax before leaving for the wedding. There was a brunch the following day at another place so I didn’t use the breakfast at the hotel.
The room and bathroom were very clean as well as the overall appearance of the hotel. We loved the firepit outside!! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I needed sheets and blankets for the pullout couch and they were quick to bring them to me. The pool and gym were not open, which is very understandable. Being a nurse, I was happy to see the hotel practicing these safety measures!
Staff always went above and beyond and always was greeted with a smile. Rooms were great and location. Loved how I was able to take care off things and at the same time was able to relax. Had such a great experience and great service. I highly recommend this location to everyone.
We rented at this hotel specifically because it had a hot tub. This is an acomodatuon we did not have for our entire stay. We were advised it had been out of service for a week. No discount, charging full price but not delivering. The breakfast was mediocre. The alarm going off at 230 am didnt help either. Wouldnt choose this hotel again.
The room was absolutely spotless. Signage for masks and distancing were plentiful and everyone was following them I was expecting a cold breakfast only, but they had the hot items behind a barrier and a server to get what I wanted. And the small omelet I had was the best I have had in a hotel buffet. I would recommend this place without hesitation.
Beautiful room and bathroom. Spacious. Pool was perfect. The only thing I would change is how breakfast is done. I would prefer a menu in the room and ability order it for a true grab and go. Loved our stay. Gave us a reprieve fron our home weve been stuck in for 10 months. !
Best Holiday Inn Express weve ever stayed in. The staff was super friendly at check in and helpful with restaurant suggestions. The room and bathroom were spotless and loved having just a walk in shower. The towels were soft and smelled good. Felt very comfortable in this pandemic because they took every precaution to make sure everything was cleaned and sanitized. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone traveling there!
The staff was very helpful. We were given good directions on finding local restaurants and thinks to see in the area. The hotel was quiet and they did the best possible to provide morning coffee within the regulation of the covid restriction. This was our second stay at this hotel and look forward to a return stay.
The only complaint I have about the stay was that the breakfast food selections were not good and the light in the bathroom was non existent. The chair in our room was torn up and should have been changed out, but everything else was really great! The staff was very nice and helpful and the hotel was very clean.
Just got home from a 3 day stay there. Had a great time again. The room was clean, it was very quiet and the staff is excellent! Jordan is the best btw. He helped me out when I was in a jam (because of booking.com) next time Ill be calling the hotel directly to make reservations!
Clean and comfortable bedding. Alarms in hotel didn’t go off when strong smell occurred. It smelled electrical on third floor. Staff seemed unsure what to do and didn’t evacuate. Front desk was always a wait for someone. Usually you had to make noise to get someone’s attention. Took approx 3-6 minutes for someone to show up.
Brought my wife here for a birthday getaway. Great place, clean, friendly, spacious. Unfortunately no dining options on property at the time, but we found an amazing local Italian place less than a quarter mile away. Try out the Cobblestone, especially for dessert!! We really enjoyed our stay!
I was in the area for a friends wedding at Bellhurst castle in Geneva, NY. It was the first time I was staying at a hotel since before the pandemic so I was naturally nervous. I was relieved to see that everyone was following the rules and guidelines. I was also impressed by how clean and neat the rooms were. The only thing I wished the bathroom had was a small thing of mouthwash but it was really no big deal. I was also happy that I was able to sleep and relax without any loud noises or disruptions. I would highly recommend Holiday Inn Express to others and chose it again myself considering what you get for the price. Well worth it in my opinion.
My wife is in a wheelchair so we needed a special room with only giving one hours notice. Jordon the desk clerk was so cheerful and dropped everything to show me the room. It was a suite. It had a high toilet and low beds! I could spin the wheelchair around with feet to spare. Everything was spotless and the carpet looked like it was put down yesterday. Our one night stay could not have better. Also it was the largest room in the hotel. very spacious.
We recently stayed here and I must say this is one of the best hotel rooms we have ever been in. The room was very spacious with a King size bed, fridge, microwave, couch, and jacuzzi tub. The room was as if were we were our own home, yet relaxing and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, soft and we had a great nights sleep. Everything we saw in the hotel was very clean. The continental breakfast offered a huge assortment of food and if you go away hungry it is your own fault. I loved the omelets, muffins, fresh fruit, and juice. Service was A in our books. Definitely would stay here again!
The Geneva Holiday Inn Express is convenient to the Finger Lakes wine country. It offers a great location allowing guests to travel form a central point down either side of the Seneca Lake. I found the hotel clean and pains being taken in the interest of safety during this horrible Covid-19 pandemic. I had quite a bit of contact with the staff and I must say, ALL were wonderful! Desk staff, maids, kitchen staff and even custodial staff were all pleasant. My criticisms are few. Some of the furnishings in our room were beat-up and ready for the scrap heap. Our desk had a loose leg. The bathroom was too dark. More lighting is needed and a night light would be helpful. These things are a small distraction and, yes, I would return to this hotel.
I liked my stay since it felt clean and the hotel did a lot of precautions to maintain precautions. Nothing is perfect and there were some concerns regarding the concentration of guests in the lobby during breakfast hours. Otherwise, it seems most guests were mindful to keep masks on within the hotel. What I really really enjoyed was the availability of to go break fast and even the pool but the proximity of the hotel to a great restaurant -- Kindred Fare -- made the stay more relaxing.
This hotel is extremely clean compared to most hotels that I’ve been traveling to during the recent Covid times. The bed was extremely soft almost didn’t wanna wake up in the morning. I wish I got the young man’s name at the front desk he was extremely nice and helpful on finding things to do around this location. Definitely recommend this hotel if you were staying in this area.
Some family members and I decided it was time to make a visit to the beautiful Finger Lakes and some of its many wineries. The Geneva Holiday Inn Express is well-located in Geneva, easy to get to, and a good launch point for a winery tour. At the end of the day there are many local restaurants at hand for dinner. The hotel itself is reasonably priced, clean, comfortable and well staffed. This was actually a repeat visit for our family group. We expect another visit in the months ahead.
We stayed for one night. The room was clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable, providing a good night sleep. The 2 queen bed suite included a couch, coffee table, refrigerator, sink, coffee maker, table, desk, iron, ironing board, and TV. There was a pool, but we didnt have time to use it. The free breakfast was average, but there was a good selection of hot and cold foods. There are indoor corridors with an elevator. Check-in and check-out were very easy and the staff very pleasant. I would stay here again.
We had Very Bad experience at the IHC hotel. Room and furniture were not clean, and no COVID-19 cleanliness were maintained. Pullout Couch mattress was rotten and falling apart, smelling like a RAT. Housekeeping in the hotel is a worst experience. I would NOT recommend staying.
Everything was great, the room was very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was super good, awesome selection and quality. We didn’t use the fitness center but from what I could tell it looked decent. When we went in the hot tub I would say it was a little on the cool side but other than that everything was wonderful.
Clean and comfortable! The only thing we didn’t like was the fact that the hot tub was not useable. Apparently COVID swims in hot tubs but not pools?! The pool room floor could’ve used a cleaning and there was a piece of gum attached to one of the chairs on the seat which thankfully we noticed before sitting on it! Overall, though it was a nice hotel and we would stay here again!
From check in to check out... Absolutely wonderful experience. Quick check in, and quick check out. Rooms were real clean smelled good and the beds are so comfy! The pool is great I just wish they were kept warmer. The hot tub was out of order for my stay but parents allowed their children to run into it when we headed for it anyways, I couldnt have gotten in it anyways because of this. Not hotels fault. Totally parents not having their kids under controlI would stay here again and highly recommend it. Hope they keep.their prices from going higher.
The staff was great. Very informative and helpful. Hand sanitizer dispensers were in many locations. They did serve breakfast and assisted us with putting the food ok n the plate (rather tham self serve buffet). All in all, it felt very normal, which was a great feeling! Some minor inconveniences like hallway noise or shower pressure were more than offset by the cleanliness of the hotel and the helpfulness of the staff.
Hotel and Room was very clean. The shower head could have had a little more strength but bathroom was clean. Bed was comfy. I only wished that they had a hot breakfast. We stayed Sunday through Tuesday and it was a grab and go. I am trying to stay away from carbs and really my only choice was a cold hard boiled egg. Would have enjoyed eggs and sausage or bacon.
My sisters and I stayed here for 3 nights. We enjoyed that we were within driving distance to so many restaurants, wineries, and attractions. Beds were comfortable and rooms were roomy. All staff were friendly and helpful. We were only disappointed that there was no hot breakfast choices - and found out later that it wasnt because of COVID, but because we were there on 3 weekdays instead of the weekend. We were told that they DO put out hot breakfast choices on the weekends. (?) Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay.
Im a Spire Elite member; I spend a lot of nights in hotel rooms. My wife and I had a very pleasant two-night weekend stay at this property in mid-October, just at the end of leaf-peeping season. We booked a a King One Bedroom Suite and was given the same on the fourth (top) floor. This is a relatively-new property located in a commercial area that is shared with a Microtel Inn & Suites and a small strip mall; we didnt have any issues finding a parking space that was close to the hotel entrance. The overall design is fresh and clean and our suite was very comfortably-laid out. The floorplan is open (no doors to separate the bedroom from the other areas) with a small living room between the bed area and the bathroom consisting of a small sofa with a hide-away bed and small table with seating for two. Theres also a small wet bar along with a Keurig machine, a medium-sized compact fridge (no freezer of any kind), and very small microwave. In the strip mall is a nice restaurant called Kindred Fare that could be considered the de facto hotel restaurant and bar; we had dinner there one night and it was excellent; its really nice to have such a good option adjacent to the property thats not something like an Applebees. There are ample power outlets and lamps throughout the room, storage is somewhat limited to the small open closet in the living room and two large drawers under the TV stand. The bed was firm, but comfortable. The bathroom has a single sink and a tub and shower. The water pressure was pretty tepid (and the water in the area is incredibly soft). Bath amenities was the standard J.R. Watkins line in bulk dispensers. The full breakfast options were largely available but one needs to order a la carte from the staff and they will plate it for you. Theres a pancake machine and toaster that can be freely used as well. I noted that quite a bit of people were eating their meals in the breakfast area; I went down early enough before the crowds and ate our breakfasts at the table in our suite (plastic trays are available to bring items up).The staff and GM were all very helpful with our pre-arrival requests as well as during our stay. Ample and safe parking and having a really nice restaurant adjacent to the property is a real boon. Theres also relatively cheap gas and snacks and drinks at the Speedway about half a mile from the property. We used the property as a base for wine-tasting in both Geneva and the greater Lake Seneca area and it was very convenient. The only real negative I had was that our suite was directly over the porte cochere and faced the parking lot and highway directly outside so we had no privacy and a bit of traffic noise (the jake brakes from the semi-trucks were prominent at certain parts of the day). It was also close to the elevator, so I could hear the chime. Theres also a gazebo/fire-pit adjacent to the front entrance for smokers and others to hang out that was directly under our suite so we got some noise from people there as well. I had asked for a quiet room in my pre-arrival requests and if I stay here again, I will explicitly ask for a room that does not face the highway or parking lot.The weekend rates during the Fall Leaf-Peeping season are a little steep, but not outrageous. I felt buying up for a suite was worth it to be able to have the extra room and be able to eat meals inside.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The daily breakfast had a lot of variety and the attendant kept everything fresh and stocked. Our children drank a constant flow of hot chocolate and for them, this was a highlight of the trip. They also loved the pool and the outdoor seating area with a fire pit was beautiful and relaxing. The housekeeping staff did a great job keeping our room stocked with towels and toiletries. Thank you!
All staff very nice and on top of things. Easy check-in and out. Comfortable bed and pillows (a couple of options). Great variety of breakfast items. Hotel and rooms are clean. Kiddo loved the pool. The only negative, no vent in the restroom so extremely warm while getting ready. This was our 2nd stay and would stay again.
Clean, comfortable, and satisfying stay at an affordable and convenient location close to shopping and sightseeing around the Finger Lakes Region. A very friendly and helpful staff is waiting to respond to your every need. Access to the hotel is very convenient from the surrounding roads, and the parking areas are well lit and secure, safety is not a concern here. The hot breakfast is very generous with ample choices for every palate. Rooms are well appointed with comfortable beds, clean linens and towels, and soundproofed rooms to ensure a good nights sleep and refreshing bath/shower to start the day or end your evening. Modern coffee, microwave and refrigerator appliances are clean and functional, and any issues are immediately addressed by hotel staff. The check-in and check-out experience is very professional, and billing is fast and accurate. Overall, this was an excellent choice of residence while visiting this area. I would not hesitate to use this facility again.
This single overnight stay was our first one since the pandemic hit. We felt safe and protected during our stay. Staff observed their safety protocols seriously without diminishing top quality customer service. We would stay at this location again without hesitation.
Pretty good stay. Room was really nice. Just wish they had more soap etc for cleanliness and safety. And in our room the remotes to the TVs were missing and the cable and TVs were all disconnected and unplugged so we had to reconnect everything and figure it out. Just inconvenient. But overall a good stay.
This chain seems to be pretty consistent with cleanliness and service. This particular spot was the first hotel in which I didn’t need earplugs to quiet the sound of highway traffic or other guests, etc. The room was very clean (I could get really picky and mention the trash behind the dresser and the dusty fan in the bathroom) overall and nicely appointed. There was a nice coffee maker in-room as well as a spotless microwave and sink in the “kitchenette”. A clean, comfortable sofa, a nice little dining table and desk. The common areas were also clean and modern. The complimentary breakfast was decent, too. Overall, I would recommend spending a little extra to stay here. It’s one of the few hotels I really felt like I could relax in and not feel uncomfortable about touching things because they were dirty. I even took my shoes off, which is pretty rare for me in hotels.
I was able to book a room at this hotel at the last minute during a busy travel weekend. I expected it to be just like any other hotel until I arrived there. The outside up-lighting looked really neat when i first arrived. The lobby is very spacious. When i got to my room i was amazed at what i saw. It was beautiful for a hotel room. It had all the amenities plus some! Overall the hotel was immaculately clean. The breakfast that was offered was also very good compared to most places that only offer you cold cereal and danishes. My only complaint was the one door for my shower was totally off track. I didnt report it to the front desk or im sure it would have been fixed right away. My thoughts were that the cleaning crew had to have known about it because it was very obvious. It shouldnt have been like that to begin with. Overall i would definitely stay there again!
The next time I come up to the finger lakes we will probably stay here. Great location and great price. All staff members were welcoming and so polite. The rooms were almost spotless. I would suggest cleaning the vent covers in the bathrooms ours was filthy. I would also suggest getting new wheels for your carts a few of them had flat tires. Another thing would be to remind guest at check in and add signs at elevator doors on each floor about the rules and regulation of being in them. A couple times people got on, on another floor and we asked to not get on, pointed to the signs on the elevator and they got on because they didn’t care. Other than those small issues my wife and I loved staying here and we’ll be back!
Got a suite for 2 nights 1-1-2021/1-2-2012 and the first thing I realized while going into the bathroom is pubic hair on the toilet seat. The shower looked poorly cleaned and there was also more pubic hair. And to make matters worse the first night while getting into bed I found blood stains on the sheets. I was too tired to complain so I just put a towel on the stain. Also the microwave was dirty inside as well. Sounds to me the housekeepers need to go into more detail on cleaning. Absolutely terrible. Other than that the lobby and breakfast was great!
We shopped all day at the outlets and wanted a place to stay overnight with a pool and breakfast included. This hotel didn’t disappoint! A short drive away with a great pool area with separate hot tub. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast had great hot and cold options and staff was wonderful!
A fun relaxing trip with family. Parents went on a vacation with us. We really enjoyed using the pool and hot tub all 4 days. The hotel was maintained and clean. The tile work was beautiful. The king suite was spacious with extra room for 4 adults to chill on an afternoon. The staff was friendly! We had a care free vacation.
Overall, we were very pleased with the hotel. The grounds are very well maintained which leaves a great first impression. The pool/spa area is very attractive and the actual pool is easily one of the cleanest I have seen in a hotel. The breakfast was outstanding in terms of the choices and quality of food. Our room was a nice size and very clean. The only downside of the hotel was the staff. We all have bad days, but the front desk and breakfast area people seemed like they wanted to be anywhere else. They were not outright rude, but were generally cold and unhelpful.
We needed a two bed room instead of a king size and this was accommodated for us instantly. The rooms were a decent size. Very clean. Very quiet. Did not hear ANY outside noises, eg., people walking the hallways. I actually slept like a log my first night, which I never do! My travel partner loved, loved, loved the comfy pillows! The rooms were all very clean. The breakfast each morning was very good! Staff accommodated request for bananas, and they were right on the ball with keeping up with the pancake maker. Front desk staff was excellent. Very knowledgeable about what was available in the town and very, very friendly. They did not steer us wrong. This was one of the best stays Ive ever had in a hotel. Only issue I had was that it was a bit difficult to actually find the hotel as its off of a curve and the sign was not very visible. That would be my only criticism.
My 7 year old said that this was paradise. The pool and hot tub were amazing. The entire hotel was beautifully decorated and very clean. The staff was courteous. They provided complimentary water/tea/coffee/hot chocolate as well as cookies. They also put out a cart with books and games for use. The breakfast provided offered a great variety of choices for everyone. The beds were so comfortable that I could have stayed for weeks. If you have a family then you will not be disappointed in this great value for everyone.
Was in town for family wedding. Hotel was clean, breakfast was average. Unfortunately there was a fire alarm that went off at 1:15 AM. That pretty much ruined the nights sleep waiting over 15 minutes for the fire dept to arrive before they could clear the building and we could reenter.
This hotel exceeded our expectations from our first visit in 2019. The manager, Steve, deserves high praise for an extremely knowledgeable, friendly and courteous staff. His exceptional management made the difference. We were reassured of the additional safety measures taken during this unprecedented time and would highly recommend to our family and friends. A return visit is in our future!
Newer and nicer HIE - you will think you are staying in a much higher priced hotel. From the front desk clerk/greeter, I was impressed. We were shown to our room where it met all of our handicapped needs. The front desk clerk also called up to make sure we didnt need anything else. The room was immaculate and the beds very comfortable. We will be traveling for family business again and will schedule our trip to include this hotel.
Not that we were looking for one, but looking back, we couldnt find or notice a flaw anywhere. The entire hotel staff from the front desk clerks to housekeeping to the gentleman serving breakfast went out of there way and made the extra effort to make our group of 20 or so feel very comfortable. In this time of pandemic, the hotel was very clean and it seemed and you got the sense as though it was disinfected but not over powering like a hospital which was comforting. When I plan on coming back to the area again, I will be a return customer. Thanks to all there.
I stayed two nights and overall my visit was excellent. One comment, the check in process was slow. There wasnt anyone at the front desk when we arrived and it took a few minutes for someone to show up from the back room. Breakfast was tasty and cookies by the elevator were a nice touch.
This hotel was fantastic. It had a contemporary design and was extremely clean. Our suite was beautiful and comfortable, and the beds were so luxurious. We needed a crib and a high-quality one was immediately provided. My children loved the pool. The breakfast was expansive and presented in a very accessible and appealing way. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel - its like a high-end experience for a very affordable price. We fully intend to travel more and have confidence in staying at Holiday Inn suites going forward.
My family stays here frequently. The front desk staff is always personable and helpful. The rooms are consistently clean and the beds are fairly comfortable. The pillows are a bit poofy -- just depends on your taste in pillows (I like kind of flat ones!). I generally dont sleep well at hotels, but this hotel seems to be the one I get the most comfortable rest in. Breakfast is filling (pancakes, eggs, cereal, etc) although I do wish the coffee was a bit stronger of a brew. The location is within close driving distance to downtown and within walking distance to a wonderful restaurant. Nice firepit exterior in front if you dont mind sitting in the entrance.
We had a great stay at a reasonable price. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. It is well appointed for people who are handicapped. The place had nice decor. The pool was really nice. The water could have been a bit warmer. One person in our party would not go in it because she felt it was too cold. We felt that it would be nice if the hotel had a bar to hang out in since there is not much in the area yet (the area seems be under new development). The hot and cold breakfast was great! Lots of variety. Our daughter loved the pancake machine. I have recommended it to my friend and her family. We would easily stay again.
All staff were very friendly, helpful, and efficient.Newer hotel, nice looking and bright. A few aspects seem to be lower cost construction (e.g., elevator was very slow and noisy).Room was very clean upon arrival. However: the tissue box was empty, and the room was not cleaned (housekeeping missed our room) between the 2 nights we stayed. Public areas were generally very clean, except hallway carpets did not appear to have been cleaned daily.Room itself was good. King-sized bed & pillows were quite comfortable. Excellent number & layout of electrical outlets. In-room refrigerator was good, although missing one foot.Breakfast was OK compared to free breakfasts at comparable hotels.Overall good value - cost per night was better than other hotels in the area. Would consider staying there again.
Visiting this hotel we were very pleased with quality that we found. The staff was superb. Every person we met from the front desk, to the person helping with breakfast to the gentleman cleaning up were fantastic and kind. The beds were very comfy and I liked the choice of pillows. Also, the breakfast was very varied and even my picky child had choices! The pool area was sparkling clean as was the rest of the common areas. Overall a great and comfortable stay.
We found the room and facilities clean and comfortable. We did however have the same problem as our last stay, last fall. Last year with a 3 night stay, we left a tip for housekeeping after our first night. When we returned to our room that evening, the tip was taken but nothing in the room was serviced and no towels or coffee maker supplys replaced, trash cans emptied, nor was the bed made. This year we again stayed 3 nights. We never saw housekeeping, and we had to request clean towels, and supplys from the front desk, and make the bed upon our return to our room each evening. Will look for a place with better service next year.
The Holiday Inn met and exceeded my expectations. It was extremely clean, from the lobby to the room, to the hot tub.Having coffee and cookies at check in was a nice touch. The staff were very personable. The TV was new and could receive a lot of cable channels. The only two minor criticisms were that the pool towels were very rough and the breakfast sausage patties were bland and tasted old.I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
I cannot say enough about the attention to detail, professionalism, and courtesy extended during our stay at this establishment. We were greeted with a welcoming fire on the front patio area. Alex, the host/clerk for the evening greeted us with a smile and had everything prepared for our arrival. When I requested a room close to the elevator for my elderly parents, he took care of the change without hesitation. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of offerings to meet the preferences of each guest. The facilitator of the breakfast area was courteous and extremely efficient. Karen assisted Alex in our checkout experience and was extremely helpful. The maintenance technician was on the ball and was very intent on making sure everything was up and running as should be. We will definitely stay here again if in the area.
Stayed one night for a winery and dinner get away in Geneva. The lobby is very spacious and inviting. Our room, a two bed queen “suite”, wasn’t very large and technically isn’t a suite as the bedroom is completely open to the living/lounge area. The TV and cable reception was excellent, as was the WiFi. We heard no noise at night from either inside or outside the hotel. Breakfast was great, lots of choices and everything we had tasted good. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend and return!
We booked this hotel because I am a finicky traveler and cleanliness, quality, and safety are of the utmost importance to me. This Holiday Inn Express exceeded my expectations in every category: we were promptly greeted with warmth, the room was impeccable, modern, and convenient with lots of outlets for our devices. The Fitness room was high-tech with flat screen TV, towels, sani-wipes, and water. We were given excellent recommendations for dinner by staff who really went out of their way to ensure we felt taken care of. There were warm cookies in the lobby early in the evening to be followed by a make-it-yourself snack center! The jacuzzi was lovely as was the entire indoor pool area. In fact, we spent plenty of time on the patio chit-chatting in the comfy chairs in front of the gas-lit fire. I was pleasantly surprised by all aspects of this property.
Rooms and common areas were clean and comfortable. Decent breakfast selection. Our problem was with the lack of proper pool maintenance. The pool was murky green instead of clear. The hot tub was out of order and on second day had foam-like appearance ( yuck). We brought pool to attention of staff on first day and it was not resolved by the next morning. What a disappointment to our kids.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we needed a hotel for several nights with short notice and with many venues being booked, we were a little nervous about the options. The staff at this property is excellent and made our stay quite enjoyable. The pool was clean and just the thing we needed after a long day. Every person manning the front desk was a treat to deal with and the maids were very sweet. I hope this hotel can keep up the good work!
The staff could not have been more accommodating and friendly. The room was comfortable. Only complaint would be that the pillows were too big, minor detail as I generally bring my own. The pool was perfect for the kids. The hot tub looked great. Did not have a chance to use the exercise room but it appeared to be basic hotel fair, adequate for travelers. I found breakfast was more than adequate if you are not expecting a 4 star hotel meal. Coffee was hot and plentiful; choice of turkey or pork sausage patties a bonus if youre trying to be a tad more health conscious. I generally dont pick a hotel on the food, so expectations were not high and with that being said, the food was not bad!
The staff, ambience, comfort and cleanliness were all amazing. The pool and hot tub were beautiful and relaxing. The outdoor pergola and fire pit were a completely unexpected delight! The desk clerk helped us find the perfect restaurant. And the breakfast... delicious and bountiful! Loved the coffee, cookies and lemon water in the lobby!! I am so confused this hotel had only 2.5 stars because it was so much better than that! Already told my friends, family, and co-workers about it!
We found this hotel very comfortable with highly attentive staff. The bed and pillows were especially comfortable, better than many hotels weve stayed at. The swimming pool was very well maintained and a real delight to swim in; the water temperature was perfect! The people at the front desk and our maid were very friendly and helpful. This stay has been one of my more pleasant ones in the last year. And breakfast was very adequate with good hours to meet our needs.
The hotel was Shiny clean at arrival, the check in was great, the person on front desk was attentive and he really heard make us feel that he heard and care of us, I love that they have the New and Used pens to sign the check in/out. the room was great, except for the bed which was a bit hard (not a big deal), the only points down where on breakfast, I wish they had more explanations on what the gab-to-go bags had and where to pick condiments (butter and/or cream cheese), I also wish they could have a working toaster and some yogurt or fresh juice available, we were OK, bought breakfast afterwards from a local business.
Its the great staff that really keeps us coming back! The kids love the pool -- its generally clean. And the rooms are comfortable although the sound proofing is minimal. The beds and pillows, however, are very comfortable. The morning breakfasts are a good way to start the day and the breakfast staff is always cheery and attentive. The check -in people are very welcoming and upbeat!
Nice hotel, good breakfast, room cozy but our bathroom had mold black and pink mold, which does not just happen over night. We spoke to the manager and they cleaned our tub for us. (this was day one) We slept well no problems, bed was comfortable.Day two had the complementary breakfast it was pretty good, scrambled eggs, sausage links and turkey sausage patties available. Assorted muffins, bagels, bread and English muffins. Juice, cereal, yogurts and pancakes.Day two after breakfast we went out for a walk by the lake, lunch ant Bellhurst Castle then we drove to Lake Ontario. Get back to our room four thirty and its still not cleaned and we had water on the floor. I was lucky that I didnt fall from it.Extremely dissatisfied with this hotel, for $200.00 a night, the room was not cleaned, I could not take a shower without clean towels. I complained on the phone to the front desk and the person on the phone said that the cleaning people were behind with their work. Our room was right next to the house keeping room. Shouldnt it be the first room to be cleaned? I also complained to the front desk. I have never stayed at any hotel where they dont clean your room by at least one or three pm. It was four thirty pm, we had to leave for dinner but five twenty.Travelers be careful, if they dont clean your room, your being ripped off, or the room may have sanitation issues.
We stayed in the jacuzzi suite as part of our Anniversary getaway. We were greeted by friendly staff and when we got to our room we were surprised to find a goody bag full of snacks with an Anniversary card signed by the staff. That was very sweet and made us smile :) the room was big and had everything we needed. It was very clean and the bed was pretty comfortable. For being a Saturday night and noticing a kids birthday party when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised how quiet it was. We will absolutely be back again!
Our family enjoyed staying here. The room was clean and comfy, no complaints. If you bring kids they can enjoy the pool and they have a workout room that I didnt have time to visit. Most of all I appreciated the clean, safe, and professional atmosphere of Holiday Inn Express.
Much more than what we expected for the price...upon arriving, we were greeted with a hot cocoa bar and cookies! Such a cute surprise! We loved the fireplace inside as well as the firepit outside, and the hot tub by the pool was huge. Great service, very friendly and attentive staff members, and very clean building. Suite room was bigger than expected, and included a mini kitchenette, pull out sofa, and dining area. Were already planning our next stay and looking to make this an annual get-away!
It is a nice hotel in a quiet place. We have booked 2 rooms for one night and payed in full at the time of booking by a credit card. Both rooms appeared to be large and comfortable. We enjoyed the stay. Problem happened at checkout time when I was charged for additional night for one room. When I asked a front desk clerk :WHY? I did not get any reasonable answer. I hope that charge will be canceled by the hotel without my involvement in long phone conversations with the hotel management and my bank.
I admit it -- I booked this hotel by mistake. When I was unable to acquire a suitable room in the hotel Id intended to stay at, I kept this reservation and am SO glad that I did! This is the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at -- including the front entrance, the lobby, the room, and the pool! And the staff was so welcoming! I was a bit skeptical about the free breakfast offered in the lobby but it was the perfect way to start our day (we especially loved the automatic pancake maker!). Even my husband, who usually refuses breakfast, enjoyed a Chobani and tangerine. Although all of the staff was helpful and kind, I was especially impressed by Mari who maintained the lobbys breakfast buffet. She was dedicated and perhaps just a little clairvoyant as well! After such wonderful (and, yes, surprising) stay, I will consider staying no where else while in Geneva.
The bed was very comfortable, which made getting a great night’s rest! The bathroom was clean, and the shower drain worked, which is always a plus. Had a few loud neighbors that let their doors slam but other than that I have no complaints. Plus the location is great! There’s a decent amount of food choices around if you get in late and need a bite to eat!
Nice hotel. I have a gluten and dairy allergy and they had bagels and muffins I could eat for breakfast. The staff was so helpful with showing me the ingredients to make sure it had no dairy in it. Would come and stay again! Only con is the walls are thin and we could hear the tv next door.
We have stayed at this hotel twice and it has been great both times. Staff is super friendly as soon as you walk in. As we were walking to and from the pool we were greated and asked if everything was ok and if we needed anything. Breakfast was excellent. We got down there about 8 and and they had plenty of food! They were also so caring for my 6 year old, any question he had they had an answer to. They also knew he loved the pool so they mentioned that when we got there!! Ill definitely be staying there again. 2 thumbs up
I have stayed at this hotel many times and every time is comfortable, clean and accommodating. This time I made the reservation and the hotel had the booking for a different night and ibwas charged for the room on the wrong night. Thankfully they still had the room available I needed. However after calling and explaining the problem they refunded the money without hassle. Therefore I would recommend staying here.
This was our second stay at this hotel and once again we had an excellent stay. All of the staff were cheerful, friendly and helpful. Housekeeping did a great job and our room was always neat and clean. The breakfast was delicious and offered a wide variety of food and the woman taking care of the breakfast area was friendly and kept the food stations well stocked. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to our friends.
This Holiday Inn Express is most certainly the best place to stay if youre visiting Geneva NY. Easy to get to. Staff was friendly and helpful. I had some trouble with my TV and Alex was able, along with Michael, to get it fixed. The breakfast options range from pancakes, cold cereal, eggs, sausage, muffins, the greatest cinnamon rolls, coffee, tea, juice, milk & probably a few I missed. The staff was quick to clean the tables and bring missing utensils. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was great too! Plan to stay there again! Thanks again to Alex & Michael.
The room was clean and the hotel was nice.I asked for an early check-in, which I realize is not something that I can necessarily expect but they assured me that it wouldnt be a problem. I arrived about an hour after I said I would and they didnt have the room ready for another 45 minutes...leaving me a total of 30 minutes to get ready for a wedding. Unfortunately, I missed the bride walking down the aisle by about 5 minutes. Had my room been ready when I was assured it would be, I would have made it on time. This really ruined my whole experience at the hotel. It is also absurdly high priced for a holiday inn express and the breakfast was sub-par.
The staff here really helped make our stay a memorable one. We traveled out for a long weekend getaway with little time to plan activities, but upon arrival I had no concerns about finding enough to fill our time. The staff here went above and beyond, and demonstrated their knowledge of the Finger Lakes Region by recommending many great restaurants and activities, all of which were fantastic. Rooms were clean and amenities were fine, we didnt spend much time in the hotel though. We did have the breakfast once and the selection was quite good for a complimentary spread. Attending staff were friendly and kept everything stocked, despite a very busy holiday weekend. We will definitely be returning the next time we visit this section of New York.
We had a great weekend getaway for our honeymoon at this hotel. I really enjoyed one staff member who worked in the evening, her name was Michele. She was very friendly, attentive and gave us great recommendations for places to eat. I loved coming in the front doors in the evenings and seeing apple cider, coffee and freshly baked cookies sitting by the front desk. How inviting! Pool area was nice and the hot tub was great. We really enjoyed the outside seating area also. Rooms were clean.
While booking the room, I had misunderstood the information about the suite. The assistant manager was on the desk when I went to talk about my issue. He immediately stepped up and helped me make additional arrangements for my stay. Awesome customer service! The rooms were clean and bright. The staff was very courteous and the breakfast was good.I strongly recommend this hotel for guests.
The room is average. The two ladies serving breakfast were extremely friendly and went around the tables and served bacon and toast. However the set up of the food area is small and not in a good order. The eggs were cold and the pancake machine was always breaking down and the pancake is awful. Help these ladies out, PLEASE!!We did not receive room service on our second night. We ran out of toilet paper and had to use the bathroom in the main lobby. We were out of our room for a good 10 hours so there was plenty of time to clean the room. The fire pit area is nice but not a lot of seating. The second night the cushions were gone and I asked the front desk for the cushions and she responded that they do not have cushions. I responded that they did and described what they looked like. She then found out that the cushions at the dry cleaners. These are not big problems and can be easily fixed however there are enough hotels in the area and for the price I will try another hotel.
Hairs on the bathroom counter, wet bar soap residue on bathroom counter, garbage and food on floor, dirt on carpet. For $262.00 room, I would expect it to be clean. So much for being a platinum member. Disappointed.Bed and pillows were comfy, ac was great. Desk staff was nice.
Stayed there overnight while travelling with the family on the way back from a conference. Hotel was clean, conviently accessible and well appointed. We travel with two kids (boy and girl) so a little more space to use a blow up mattress would have been nice but not expected. Other than the hot tub being closed for service, nothing to complain about.
OK lets start with the positives; the rooms are very clean, with nice TVs and a nice bath. The staff is very nice and willing to suggest dinner locations and places of interest. Now for the few little issues at this location; if breakfast is big deal to you and is one of the reason you stay at Holiday Inn Expresses as it is with me this location falls short. It has a small hot food center right in the middle of the buffet line so guest come at from both directions causing confusion and in one case a little dust up. The items are in small plastic containers with lids which must be lifted and set some where to get anything and only one person at time can access it. The lids often times hit the floor and right back on the food they went. The pool was wonderful and the hot tub felt great however once we got back up to the room we saw my wifes favorite black swim suit was now a dirty uneven gray. The one last thing was I rented a suite be aware a suite at this hotel only only one room. This caused an issue as we had a teenage daughter of a friend staying with us and made her uncomfortable. IHG was great and paid for the first night of our stay. If this place would watch the chlorine and update the breakfast line as most have it would be top notch! Overall a nice stay dispute a few problems.
Our stay was greeted with very friendly staff that were very helpful! We arrived early and Volivia at front desk went out of her way to get us in our room early even though the hotel was fully booked the night before. She upgraded us and we were very pleased with the room. Everything was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was good and we had a nice time visiting with other patrons while in the pool and hot tub.
This hotel completely exceeded my expectations. It was very clean, the staff very friendly. I really appreciated when I left the do not disturb sign on the door, I would come to the room after a 12 hour shift and find a bag with extra toilettries and towels right by my door. That was amazing! Breakfast was also very nice. There was something different every day.
What more could you ask for when youre staying away from home? The room was exceptionally clean. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel was conveniently located to where we were visiting. The breakfast was really good. I was impressed by the large spread of choices. The entire property is very clean, though I was a little confused by where the entrance was when I first pulled up. Even though theres an overhang near the front door, it didnt really look like an entrance. What impressed me most was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Ive never stayed at another property anywhere where Ive been treated so wonderfully, which was especially refreshing after a stay at a well-known castle in the area where we were treated poorly by staff for twice the price.
When we arrived at our room we were happy for the neat and clean room. But when my husband used the bathroom, under the seat and rim of the toilet bowl had not been cleaned properly. He brought this to the attention of the desk clerk and he assured us that it would be taken care of. When we returned from dinner 4 hrs later, it was still not clean. Yuck, I say!!!
I was traveling on business to the area and just happened to pick this hotel for my stay. I was so glad I did. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself was very clean and well maintained. The make your own trail mix in the lobby in the evening was really cute and the fire pit in the seating area outside the lobby was a nice touch. Upon arrival, I was upgraded to a suite. The room was huge and really nice. The bed was very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and also recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the Finger Lakes area.
I had stayed here over a weekend. Rooms had bugs all over. When asked for room service they said, “ we can come to the room and kill those bugs if you want”. I spent my night killing those bugs. And had to wrap my personal items and clothes in a plastic bag. Had a horrible stay and when I asked for a full refund they gave me a partial refund. Would never go there again.
Our check in experience lacked, as a Platinum member I usually get greeted genuinely then offered an amenity. This did not happen during this stay, I had to ask for the amenity. The room was great, clean, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was the worst I have seen. Several items were missing according to the signs (bacon, fruit, yogurt)
Aside from the cell phone service and WiFi speed and connectivity, I was impressed by the hotel. 5-star rating is due to the overwhelming comfort provided in the hotel. Guest services was excellent even in a time that would stump just about any other person at the desk (we had some traveling complications with our children and some necessary items that werent available in their Sundries). They handled the situation with tact and delivered with excellence. The beds were comfortable, beyond comfortable in fact. The common room where breakfast was served was updated, clean, and elegant (although slightly loud with the lack of sound proofing).
The room was immaculate, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was very helpful. There hot tub was nice and the pool area was kept clean and fresh smelling. There wasnt too much of a chlorine smell, which is sometimes the case. Breakfast was delcious--they even had a pancake machine that made scrumptious pancakes!! We would stay again and recommend it. The only downside was when sometime was vacuuming the hallway before 9 a.m. Really??
Stayed at HIE in Geneva for 1 evening while attending the Seneca Lake Deck The Halls event in December with a friend. Hotel was easy to find right off the main road, clean, and very accomodating. Only about a 5-10 minute drive to at least 2 wineries on the trail and numerous other restaurants and shops in the area. Checked in quickly with no problems and given a first floor room. Room was clean and spacious and very comfortable after a long day of driving from northeast PA and then tasting at several wineries. It was so nice to be able to just relax, enjoy some quiet downtime and recharge in some very comfortable beds. The bathroom had more than enough towels and toiletries and was quite spacious. We didnt hear any noise from slamming doors, hallway talkers, or even our neighbors rooms which is great. We did not check out the pool but it did look very inviting when we passed by the front windows. The only minor downfall, and I do mean minor, was there was no ice machine on the first floor and you had to go to a higher floor. No problem, just a bit odd since there was one on all the other floors. Breakfast was held in the large and spacious great room which was so beautiful and decorated nicely for the holidays. Standard hotel breakfast fare with a few hot items (dry cereal, yogurt, bagels, toast, oatmeal, hot sausage, hot eggs, hot cinnamon buns, etc) was yummy! While dropping off keycards at front desk, the desk clerk was very helpful with another woman looking for local menus so it seems like the staff is knowledgeable about the area which is always a plus. I thought it was a nice touch as well that there was a handwritten card with my bill noting my IHG rewards membership and at check in my point balance was noted on my keycard packet.Overall, I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others that may be looking for a place to stay in the area.
This Holiday Inn Express offers large comfortable rooms, a pleasant breakfast area, a nice indoor pool and an outdoor seating area with a fire pit. We traveled on a very busy weekend, so the prices were not as low as they could have been, but the staff expedited early check in so we could leave our original choice of hotel and make it to my sisters memorial service on time. Unfortunately, housekeeping ignored our room for the most part; otherwise this hotel would get all 5s. The front desk staff was pleasant and accommodating, though they seemed somewhat clueless about why housekeeping neglected us. Our first morning most of the breakfast items were gone, and were not refreshed. The next day there was plenty of everything. I do wish they offered fresh fruit though.
The location and grounds are nice. Beyond that there is a ton of room for improvement. Sink did not drain properly; how the cleaning staff didn’t recognize and report is beyond me. No shampoo in room. I didn’t see the breakfast staff clean a single table the entire time we were there (4 days). There was hair on floor around toilet area. The front desk staff was rarely at the front desk and there was no bell. They seemed to stay in an office area and you had to call out to them. When I reported the slow drain problem to the front desk it wasn’t passed on to maintenance; not until I spoke to maintenance was it fixed. I have to give him credit as it was fixed in a timely manner. Even though the staff seemed to underachieve, they seemed to have the time to be on their cell phones. The overall service across the board was disappointing at this hotel.

2022-05-18I am a traveling healthcare worker and I spend most of my life in hotels. So I definitely know bad ones from good ones and let me just say this is one of the best I’ve stayed in. Let me also add I am a platinum elite member with Marriott and if this hotel was next to one I would still pick this Holiday Inn location. The manager Jackie is courteous, professional and has been extremely helpful with each and every time I come to Geneva to check in. The rooms and amenities are fantastic, the hot breakfast is amazing and the rest of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful as well. You truly can relax here because you are treated like family. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Bravo Holiday inn, you did well with this location.

2021-12-06I stayed 2 nights at this location. It was VERY difficult to find since it is below the road level and uses the same driveway as at least 1 other hotel. The good was that they had gluten-free bagels for breakfast. In this time of COVID having a hot breakfast with numerous choices was nice. We have stayed at other Holiday Day Inns recently that had breakfast to go which left a lot to be desired. The room was clean (though paper on the floor from a previous guest) and quiet.I found it surprising that there was no microwave. When I asked I was told they were only available in the upgraded rooms (which I had asked for since we are platium members but was told unavailable though there did not appear to be that many cars in the parking lot). The second night I was there there was no internet access. The front desk extention was constantly busy so no internet for the evening. This gave me more time to watch TV. In this room there was some problem with 3 large white spots on the screen which made viewing a bit odd. All in all it was an OK stay.

2022-02-06We love staying here. The staff is amazing! We can’t say that enough! Jordan Jackie Karen Evelyn Taylor Josh and Brittany made our stay the best! Our kids had a blast and had the best time in the pool. Thank you for all you do!

2022-02-15My significant other and I spent the weekend here. We rented the King Suite, which includes a small kitchen so you can prepare your own meals, living room with 40 inch smart TV which can also be used for conference calls, free wifi, and built in jacuzzi tub. There is also another large flat screen smart tv in the bedroom. Bed was very comfortable with different pillows made with different firmness levels so there is something for everyone. Every morning, there is a complimentary breakfast for customers down stairs in the cafeteria/ dining room. Very impressive, there are hot and cold breakfast items to choose from. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family!

2022-01-13Clean/comfortable room, very friendly staff which is a huge plus. I’m shocked there were no USB ports in the room. Breakfast was pretty decent, but biscuits were hard as a rock and bananas offered were overripe. I would stay here again.

2022-04-18Very nice place to stay if you visiting Seneca lake. With brake fast it gives you complete relaxing Experience. The local is less crowded and you will get very limited shops and restaurants. 1.2 miles to lake and boating.

2021-03-31Our stay at the hotel was adequate - good value for the money. The room was basic but clean. The towels were snow white and plush - looked new. The breakfast was ok, your typical breakfast at a budget hotel. What I liked was that it was served in a COVID safe way - a masked employee was giving out breakfast items to the guests. I was surprised that the pool was open during the pandemic. I would not feel safe going to the indoor pool, but there were plenty of people who felt otherwise. I would recommend this property.

2021-09-28Our group of ladies were very impressed with staff, service and our room. The hotel is very clean and well appointed. Breakfast was very good and many choices available from yogurt to a pancake machine (loved it). The pool area and jacuzzi was very clean with towels available in pool area. We all loved the fire pit area outside surrounded by comfortable seating. Another plus was the restaurant named Kindred Fare within walking distance.
