The stay was excellent, very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and coffee were decent.. Some things better than others but thankful for free breakfast. The price was a bit more than I wanted to pay but it was a very nice place to stay. I would definitely stay again.
We enjoyed our stay. All staff we encountered were friendly and professional. Hotel and our room were clean, beds and pillows comfy, nice hot and cold selections for the breakfast included. Plenty of parking, free wifi. The pool and hot tub were a decent size, clean, and good temps. We enjoyed them each night. Great location near plenty of shopping and only minutes from SUNY campus.
Staff was helpful and friendly, kind. Ok people Holiday Inn is something new and different and upscale feeling actually… very different than its old warn out 1980s vibe. It has a 2021 vibe. We couldn’t get into the “upscale” hotel in town and Holiday Inn Express was our only option. Next time I won’t even consider the high end place. Lol. Holiday Inn Express is low key high end. Nice guests as well. Regular people but all super real, considerate, polite and nice.
This was our third time staying here when taking our child back to college. We like staying here. It is a very clean environment and rooms are spacious . The beds are very comfortable. The staff are kind and helpful with a smile all the time. The value is a little pricey but it’s the best in the area and We will definitely be back in the future!!!!
This hotel way by far one of my best experiences. The check in was friendly and smooth, the rooms were spacious and clean, the breakfast had many choices that were delicious, and you could even make your own to go bag. I had zero complaints, and that’s not an easy thing with me. I expect perfection and I got it.
Check-in was quick and the front desk staff was very informative and efficient. Kudos to Sharon for her great personality! The room was clean with a comfortable atmosphere. The bed was amazingly comfortable and provided for a good nights sleep. The only thing I found disappointing was the water pressure in the shower, it was very low. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.
We stayed at this hotel due to a baseball tournament occurring over a weekend. The hotel was in close proximity to the fields, restaurants, and shops. The staff, particularly Sharon and Stacey were so warm and receiving when we arrived. They handled our large group of baseball kids beautifully and never seemed to be bothered by the large amount of people staying in the hotel for the tournament. Our kids grew to love the staff and I felt very comfortable and safe knowing there were even more eyes on them throughout our stay. The entire property was spotless! We loved the outdoor fire pit. The pool was a great outlet for the kids, the breakfast had a ton of options, and the bed was the most comfortable Ive slept in! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!
Our travel baseball team was treated so kindly and the staff were a lot of fun to spend time with as well.As long as you are respectful to the property, code of conduct, and staff, you will be treated with amazing customer service.The only reason for giving a low breakfast rating is because of COVID restrictions and my family has gluten allergies, so they had to go get eggs/bacon etc at a local diner, which was amazing too!
Great hotel...rooms clean, staff very accommodating and friendly. Location great. Breakfast was done as great as possible, during covid, and had a good variety, and take out bags,for those who wanted to grab and go. I would definitely stay in this hotel again if I visit the area. Did not use the pool or fitness room, but they looked very clean and inviting.

My husband and I traveled to Oswego on the spur of the moment. We had no difficulty getting a room at this hotel. The room was very clean and modern. Staff were very friendly and very helpful with checking in and checking out. They made us feel right at home. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I had to call the hotel to book a room due to the days being blocked online. The hotel staff were amazing and helped me out. Check-in and out was easy. Breakfast is always amazing. It was my first time utilizing the pool and hot tube and I was so happy to be able to reserve a time. 10/10 stay.
I have now visited my son at Oswego State three times and the Holiday Inn Express is my favorite hotel to stay. I tried other hotels in the area and none compare. The staff is exceptional, I was very appreciative for the service I received from Leeanna and Sharon my last visit. Thank you!
The first day we were here there were computers in the “business center” which the boys used respectfully and properly. The next day the computers were removed because the desk attendant, Sharon, didn’t want them to use them. The following nights the team was in the lobby and the desk attendant continued to yell at them for doing such activities as talking, sitting as a group watching their phones, playing outside etc. under the supervision of their parents and coaches. The desk attendant repeated such phrases as “We don’t want you here!” “We have enough business, we don’t need you!” “It has been miserable having you here this week” The team was trying to be respectful of the other guests by staying outside and in the lobby. We have stayed at many other hotels as a team and have never had this experience. Finally, last night, prompted this email. My husband and I supervised the team while they were in the pool. We cleared the pool at 10pm as per the rule and proceeded outside on to the patio with the other parents and kids as not to disturb anyone. The hotel attendant has already put an out of order sign on the fire pit so we wouldn’t use it. There were two other teams in the lobby. Sharon, the attendant, proceeded to scream at them and send them to their rooms like they were 5 years old. We were still outside at this point. All of a sudden the police pull up and they were directed outside to us. We were told that if we did not go up to our rooms we would be arrested. All of this for sitting outside after 10pm. I have never been treated so poorly in all of my years of traveling. This stay has been the worst hotel experience of my life and you should be embarrassed of your staff.
Rooms were very clean and modern. The hotel was very quiet, I rarely heard another door closing in my 4 nights there. I find hotels in Oswego to be unreasonably expensive but this was a really good price for what you get. Better than other options in the area.
I would not stay anywhere else. This hotel has the best staff and the breakfast is perfect. I will stay here from now on. Very quiet and clean hotel. The pool and hot tub were very relaxing.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. It appears to be a relatively new hotel. The room, although very comfortable and clean, seemed sterile and too contemporary for my liking. I didnt feel that I would want to stay for more than 1-2 nights.
Hotel stay was great, would stay there again. Staff are very friendly. Great outdoor sitting area with a fire pit. Lobby and rooms were very clean and plenty of room. Exercise room was clean and was perfect for my needs. Breakfast was great and overall had a very positive experience.
I have stayed at the Oswego Holiday Inn many times over the past few years. I have never had a negative experience. The staff is always friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The rooms are always clean and the bed is super comfortable. I would not stay anywhere else when visiting Oswego!

The room I stayed in was very clean and comfortable. I like the lounge style chair for watching TV. The Check in Staff were very pleasant as was the other staff that I spoke to upon entering each day. My stay was 2 nights.
Upon arrival , we were greeted by a friendly , smiling young lady who was knowledgeable and professional. Our checkin was quickly processed and we noticed the cleanliness of the lobby area . Our room was immaculate and it was obvious the unit was decorated to utilize every square foot in a logical pattern . This was one of the nicest HolidayInn’s we have stayed at and that is quite a compliment . I highly recommend this property if in the Oswego area .
The entire staff team was great. During my stay, Jamie, Stacey, Sharon, and Mike have been more than accommodating to myself, my Army Colleagues, other occupants. The hotel was highly maintained and is above and beyond meeting COVID-19 restrictions. The cleaning ladies were also super awesome in ensuring our stay felt more at home. I have no doubt in my mind that others would agree with me on their synchronized, flawless, very friendly operation. I have never seen a hotel team that got along so well. Thanks to Jamie, Stacey, and Sharon. I would highly recommend this hotel visitors. Five Stars rating all day long.
I have stayed in his property and others in the city for business. I was here this weekend for a baseball tournament. The same level of professionalism that I experience on business trips, I enjoyed while navigating baseball kids, their parents, and the king salmon fisherman; all of whom converged on the same Holiday Inn. The staff was excellent and pulled it off without a hitch.
Very modern, clean hotel. The people were more than welcoming and bent over backwards to make sure we were happy. The hot tub was nice, even though the jets didnt work (but they told us before we made a reservation). I forgot some toiletries and they gave them to me. The breakfast wasnt the usual because of Covid, but they had so much great take out stuff, lots of choices!
Negative: The staff needed to be educated on service animal laws! I was asked for a copy of my medical information!!!!! Management needs to educate the staff on ADA LAWS!
The room wasFreezing, blamed one air coming through vent. I live in buffalo- so no excuses. Given a space heater an told to leave heat on at 80. Also no heat In Bath- at all! And near stairs! Could hear every noise!
My family and I had a very unpleasant and upsetting experience at the Holiday Inn express in Oswego. The night manager was friendly to our group during the day but then was very rude and unpleasant to the adults and our young boys during the evening. She said we could enjoy the back patio but then would yell at our group for talking quietly outside. The manager claimed our boys were running in the halls when they were respectfully sitting with their parents just talking. She took all the computers in the lobby away so no one could use them. She claimed the fire-pit didnt work so we could use it. She bullied and picked on our group for days. Ive never had such an upsetting experience at a hotel.
We were there for super dirt week and the hotel was great. Right near the track. Clean room and bathroom. Bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was excellent
This is a nice hotel. It was a little pricey, but it was convenient for us. I wish the gym was open. I know it is closed for Covid reasons, but you could place disinfectant wipes around to clean equipment before and after use. Also, if the breakfast is going to be grab and go, it would be nice if that was reflected in the room rates. We paid as much as we would for a hot breakfast. The hotel staff was nice, but dont forget your mask. Youll hear about it.
Everything was clean and modern. The staff was very helpful and concerned with making my stay the best. The room quiet, cool and relaxing. The bathroom was large and the fixtures were quiet. The pillows were the best- (2) firm and (2) soft. I was unable to use the pool, but I stepped into the pool area to check it out. It looked very clean and tidy. The breakfast- which was included in this stay- was hot, simple and tasty! Not just some bagels and cream cheese!I cannot say enough about my stay here- simply wonderful !
All in all,, the hotel is ok.. But for some reason, the management told us guests that they wished we hadnt stayed there, and proceeded to berate parents and children alike. Then they closed the fire pit outside for no reason, and called the cops at 10pm to threaten guests to go to their rooms on fear of arrest. One woman told the guests she didnt want us there, and the other called toe cops on quiet respectful customers.

The staff’s maniacal enforcement of “quiet time” was ridiculous. It ruined our entire stay.The mere sight of children seemed to enrage the staff irrespective of the noise level, which was far from rowdy during any of our stay.Limiting and/removing access to promoted amenities (computers in the business area, access to fire pit, access to pool) made us feel like we were in a prison rather than at a hotel.The staff even called the police due to “noise.” It was way more about control than noise. This is not something our teen and pre-teen kids should be subjected to when on vacation.I would never stay at this hotel again!
Oswego HIE is the best IHG property in the area. I have stayed here numerous times and plan on staying here again in the future. Most of the staff seem to be locals, which added to a personable, homely experience. The staff is also very helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. The fitness room and pool area are clean. I look forward to returning to Oswego HIE in the future.
The employees that work at this location are top notch! They were very friendly from check in to check out. Always making sure that everyone was happy and had everything that they needed to make their stay great! Highly recommend this hotel and would return.
The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was in a convenient location. Due to Covid-19, breakfast was limited, but still way more than your basic continental breakfast.
The only thing that I think would be a huge improvement would be a lot better quality toilet paper. I think the staff is excellent, at least the night ladies. I didn’t have any dealings with the day shift staff.
I have stayed at this hotel three times so far bringing my daughter to SUNY Oswego and have had no issues ( hotel is ten minutes straight down the road from the school). The facility and rooms are always clean and comfortable and the staff is friendly. Will be staying here multiple times over the next four years and would recommend to others.
Although the room was comfortable and appeared to be clean, the carpet was not. Had a big stain on the middle of the room, which quite honestly, wouldnt have taken much effort to clean. Didnt want bare feet to touch floor
Bring your hat and mittens. My room was 57 degrees upon check-in. Took almost 3 hours to rise to the pre-set thermostat temperature of 70 degrees. The following day, I left the thermostat on 75 degrees upon leaving for the day. Upon my return at 3 pm the room temperature was 66 degrees. Staff response was the thermostats are turned on by a sensor that trips when the door is opened. Staff indicated they dont have the personnel available to go around and trip the sensors to warm customers rooms prior to their arrival. Im sorry, but I saw 5 vehicles in the parking lot. Dont have the staff to warm a handful of rooms ? No maid service is provided and breakfast items are limited to cold cereal and junk food. Service has been reduced in the name of the pandemic, but prices have not.
The guy at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. The bathroom was a ZEN experience and the beds were so comfortable! A great new edition to Oswego for the few people who actually want to visit :)
This is our 2nd time staying here and we all enjoyed it. The beds are so comfortable and the room is a nice size. The price could be a little more reasonable . The breakfast is not enjoyable at all. The only thing that needs help!
I loved this place. It was close to the location and they had a corporate rate available to the place i was working which saved me a couple dollars on the rate i had selected. No problems with the room or the WIFI. I did have to climb onto the bed to get to the thermostat but that was a minor issue. breakfast was great. I liked the fact that i had the choice between eggs and omelets which i never get. Everything was so filling i only had one plate which i usually get 2. The fact that my bill was in the folder was the biggest plus for me because i use that folder to organize the rest of my receipts. The hotel is located close to plenty of restaurants so you wont have any problem getting food. 5 stars all around.
This new and clean hotel is minutes from campus. The front desk employees are knowledgeable about the area and friendly and welcoming. After driving 6 or more hours it is great to pull in and see a smiling face. The beds are super comfortable and the pillows are great! We enjoy the free breakfast in the morning as well. We have had to ask for early check-in or late check-out due to our travel schedules and we have been accommodated whenever we needed it. We felt comfortable and had a great experience.
I always enjoy staying at a Holiday Inn Express wherever I go because I can always count on their cleanliness and friendly staff. This new hotel in Oswego is very nice, and we had an uneventful stay.The one thing that unfortunately did not seem up to par was the cleanliness of the bathroom. It appeared very clean, but there was the smell of urine that did detract from our comfort in the room.

The pillows and bed were very comfortable. The shower was nice, but no shampoo was provided. The refrigerator worked well. Due to COVID, the breakfast choices were extremely limited and I appreciate that the staff had system for dropping off keys, etc. I know that COVID has limited may amenities that are usually offered, but the price of the room was not discounted.
Excellent property with a very well trained and pleasant staff. Always a great stay at this location and I stay at many (I’m a spire) to compare. This stay was a little different as the current Covid requirements impacted the normal great breakfast I enjoy, but wades diner filled the gap and ensured I didn’t go hungry. The staff is second to none, IHG corporate should be proud of and also bench mark what they do. Thanks for the great stay and I look forward to my next visit.
We traveled to this hotel with several families two weekends in a row for hockey games. The hotel is very clean and updated. I cannot say enough about the staff. They were accommodating of our large group, which included several adolescent hockey players and their siblings. Everyone was kind and considerate and made us feel comfortable. We will definitely be back, as we have many years of hockey travel ahead of us. Thank you for being so kind, we have not always experienced this when traveling with the team. We will definitely be recommending this hotel to not only other teams in our organization, but other organizations as well. Because of the positive atmosphere, we would not hesitate to stay on a personal trip!
This is the cleanest hotel weve stayed at in years. We travel frequently with our grandchildrens hockey and softball teams and this property was the freshest, cleanest hotel weve seen in a long time. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Our room was immaculate and everything in the guest room and bath worked flawlessly. The bed, linens and pillows were terrific and extremely comfortable. The property was quiet in the guest areas and the common area/breakfast was spacious for team and family gatherings.I would highly recommend this hotel for future travelers.
I had to drop off my daughter at SUNY Oswego and this hotel was just a few minutes away.That was a major plus for me. After 5-6 hrs of driving, I decided to stay overnight to visit the local area. This hotel was a perfect spot. It is near to some nice restaurants and has a small plaza to do some light shopping. Rebecca, Assistant General Manager was excellent. Before I came up, I had to make some changes to my reservation and she made the process so easy. Then when I arrived, she greeted my family with open arms. Also, the hotel staff was all so friendly and courteous. If I needed anything or had a question, someone was available to assist. The hotel was clean and fresh looking. My daughter enjoyed the pool and spa/hot tub. Our room was comfortable and the Hot Breakfast was great! I will definitely be back.
Very friendly and helpful staff that remembers your name for your whole stay after checking in. Very clean rooms. Pool was ice cold but the jacuzzi was great! Great location with convenient access to nearby stores and attractions.
We were very pleased with our stay at Oswego Holiday Inn Express. The hotel was spotless as a whole. Our room was bright and comfortable. Our bed was very comfortable. Little additions such as USB ports along with outlets at bedside very helpful. Roomy bathroom and shower. Staff was friendly, helpful and responsive. Continental breakfast is sufficient, a better fresher selection of foods would be my only suggestion for this hotel. We enjoyed our stay and definitely choose this hotel again if we were in the area.
In Oswego for a wedding and the Holiday Inn Express was the perfect place to stay. Staff greeted us with a smile, answering my questions without hesitation. Hotel was clean and in great condition. The only problem we had was our bathroom sink would not drain. We told the staff at the front desk and they sent James up from maintenance and he had the sink fixed in no time! Thank you James for your quick response, it was greatly appreciated! Breakfast each morning was about the same, but it was good and there was plenty. It was your typical continental breakfast, nothing wrong with that, was what I expected! Beds were very comfortable and hotel was quiet! Fire pit outback was a bonus and we enjoyed that a couple of the nights we were there!
Rooms were spacious and very clean with large modern bathrooms well lighted and vented. Breakfast was superb with a large variety of healthy, tasty food and plenty to eat. Even had a Kuerig coffee pot well stocked in our room. The beds were very high quality plush mattresses and nice with 4 fluffy pillows. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the whole building was immaculately clean. My wife and I were impressed with this establishment and we would book with Holiday Inn Express in any trips in the future....
Absolutely top notch service from hotel staff to cleanliness of public areas, room, pool, fitness center, etc. Not sure how they managed to keep everything clean and maintain a high standard of friendliness with all the kids running around for the baseball games, the wedding party and all the people attending Harbor Fest. Full house with a fully positive and responsive team. Best hotel we have stayed at and we travel a lot. High Fives to the entire staff - front desk, housekeeping (in front of the scenes and behind), breakfast service personnel, EVERYONE!!! Thank you for making our stay an enjoyable one!!!
When we first arrived at the hotel we were greeted by a super friendly and helpful staff. We were then delighted to see the NEW BLUE FORMULA design of this fresh new hotel. Cant say enough about this beautiful hotel design. The rooms were very modern and clean with very comfortable beds. We also visited the pool and were very happy to see how nice and clean it was. Our overnight stay was quiet and peaceful. In the morning we had a nice complimentary breakfast supplied by the hotel. The checkout was as fast as the check in.The only thing that made me sad was leaving.
The staff was very friendly and even mowed an area in back that allowed our baseball team space to play games and have a cookout without disrupting the other hotel guests.Breakfast still wasnt the full pre-COVID breakfast yet but by far the best limited breakfast with cereals, pancakes- with a push of a button, cinnamon rolls, muffins, fruit, etc.
This was one of the nicest hotels Ive ever stayed in for the 2-3 star range. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet, even though they were quite busy. The staff was super nice, and accommodating. The beds were comfortable, and the room was big- it even had a pull out couch. Nice pool, hot tub and decent free breakfast made the whole experience even better!
My son is an athlete/student at SUNY Oswego and we try go to Oswego about 5 or 6 times a year. We have stayed at different hotels throughout the years and Holiday Inn Express is the hotel we like best.
I always enjoy staying at this hotel but particularly found it very relaxing and accommodating during the 2020 spring coronavirus craziness. I was with the hotel for almost 4 weeks and they treated everybody they’re like family and friends. On top of the normal cleanliness they were accommodating to allow us to drink as much of the bottled water as we needed and also had early morning breakfast options available when the restaurant closed. Just a great place to stay if you were in Oswego New York.
I stayed here on Monday night (8/10/2020) and although the facility was clean, the staff were not present at the desk --and the worst part was I couldnt control the temperature in my room. It was hot outside and I barely slept because the thermostat in the room was set to 68 degrees --but it felt much warmer --and it didnt allow you to adjust the AC fan in any significant way. If you stay here --you will likely be hot in the summer. Ive been a loyal IHG customer, but after this experience I will likely find a new hotel franchise.
All other hotels in Oswego were booked. Found this hotel last minute. Was pleasantly surprised. Loved the double queen with extra living space was huge!
I stayed 4 nights in a brand new property about 1 mile from downtown. It was quiet with no road noise, but not very near downtown where most of the restaurants and bars are. The rooms were great, with plenty of plugs designed for phones and computers. I did not like the handicapped access shower in the bathroom. The staff was helpful and friendly with directions to local sights or restaurants. Breakfast was fine but the only meat was turkey sausage.Beautiful modern decor, interior and outside. Sorry I didnt have time for the gym or pool but running through the neighborhoods and down to the Oswego River was quite nice.
The hotel is so nice and new and is kept extremely clean. The location is perfect for attending SUNY activities. It has a safe and secure environment. Staff has always been extremely polite. Offers a good breakfast with many choices. Definitely my only choice hotel in the Oswego area. I have also stayed in the Anderson, South Carolina Holiday Inn Express with the same great experience.
We were visiting family for Easter and stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Oswego. The staff was extremely friendly, attentive and helpful. The room was very clean, good size and comfortable.
This hotel is beautiful and very clean. They really paid attention to detail when designing it. The indoor pool was great and also very clean with plenty of towels. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and quiet. The staff was very accommodating and the free breakfast was great! We would definitely recommend this hotel.
Alyssia was outstanding. With Covid limitations I wasnt expecting too much but I was pleasantly surprised by this Associate. She was able to assist and anticipate the needs of this Platinum Elite member before I could asked. Thank you Alyssia for making my 4 day stay there a home away from home. This is my third multi-day stay at your facility and this was the best yet despite the precautionary covid steps in place. I felt safe and well cared for. Hopefully Ill be returning real soon. My husband and I stayed here for a college reunion weekend and loved it. From the moment we walked in the staff was friendly, genuine and efficient.Tracy who checked us in was fantastic. The whole place gives an instant impression of cleanliness and caring.The room was super clean, modern and obviously well cared for. Internet was fast and easy to hook up to.Bed was clean crisp and comfy.Breakfast area and food was also super clean. The food was very good, nice variety and fresh. The kitchen staff were continuosly refreshing the foods.Loved our stay and when we go back to Oswego we will absolutely stay there again.
I Enjoyed my stay for the most part at your hotel. However the fact that My bedding was not changed AT ALL in my 5 day stay was quite unsettling. If it were not for the location and convienience of my business meetings, I probably would have pulled out after the 2nd day of staying there just for this reason alone. Otherwise, the staff at the desk were great! I enjoyed their greetings
Ive stayed at this hotel almost every other week since it opened two years ago. I have always been treated as a valued guest and have been made to feel like family. Colleen made breakfast as tasty as possible and Rebecca was a gem at the front desk. Tracy always went above and beyond to make my stay everything it could be. James provided excellent maintenance services. I look forward to my next visit to this great hotel.

Ive stayed here 4x in the last 6 months. It is consistantly a lovely experience. The location is great; between stores, restaurants and the college. It is always very clean. The staff is wonderful. This most recent visit Lucian greeted us like he knew us and was happy we arrived. He was ready for us and check in was quick which was great because we had a long day.Lucian let us know about the pool, the gym and breakfast. He also let us know about events in the area that we were unaware of. He was also there at check out which was very nice.
This hotel is close to SUNY Oswego, so we stay whenever we visit our daughter. The welcome staff makes it a point to connect on a friendly level and are always eager and quick to respond to our requests. It is clean, safe and smells so good! Always a pleaseuren after a long car ride to arrive to great accommodations.

The hotel was amazing I was greatd by Tracy who made me feel at home with fresh cookies. Room was awsome very clean beds were amazing. I met there awsome gm jason who suggested a great resutrant for dinner which was not far away at all. Breakfast was great lot of variety Marianna was awsome keeping the food filld an hot. Place was so clean. There was this sweet lady named peg the great who gave us directions to this great place by the river for ice cream. The maitnece team was awsome Dustin an James.

Enjoyed our stay in Oswego. The room was roomy and comfortable. The bed gave us a good nights sleep. Would prefer a second chair in the room instead of the sofa type chair. Had a problem with the drain of the tub draining slowly, that was addressed by the staff. Unable to be corrected because the maintenance man was out of town.
The hotel is new and clean. The room was comfortable- had a refrigerator, microwave and safe. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. There is an indoor pool that I didnt use, so I cant comment. Unfortunately no pets are allowed- I would give 5 stars to allow pets!!. Had a great stay!
We always chose Holiday Inn Express because we like the way they use bed bug protector coverings on the mattresses and sheet coverings for the down comforters. We have never been comfortable with sitting on bedspreads and comforters that are only laundered, periodically.The rooms and bathrooms are always clean and well maintained.Our server, Colleen, in the continental breakfast area, always goes above and beyond to make sure we have everything we need. Plus, she is very personable and friendly.Tracey, at the front desk, is also very pleasant and she is always attentive to our needs. Very nice staff and exceptionally nice hotel.
I travel a lot, and this is the best Holiday Inn Express I have ever stayed in! The staff were absolutely fantastic - friendly, courteous, professional, and welcoming. The rooms were nicely appointed, comfortable, and extremely clean. The breakfast was excellent. The common areas were great and spacious. The location was great too! 5 stars for sure!! I will be back!
Went with grandmother to spend time with kids. Very clean and friendly. 1 of our 2 rooms were not available when we got there after a 5 hr drive. We were asked to stay busy for a little while so they could find us another room of equal value. Not the best first impression. Other rooms were available but higher rate and werent offered to upgrade. Staff was very accommodating after the 1hr wait to get us a room at the original rate. Bad decision on the ladies part after we drove 5 hrs and the other rooms were available. Holiday Inn has always made sure I felt like i was the only one staying there. This was a miss. Hopefully initial decision will be different for them in future. But Continue to stay with them in other areas we travel to. Very nice hotel and staff. Lancaster, CA has been the best location yet. Huge Suites with multiple rooms.
I visit Oswego often as my son attends College here. I have to say this hotel never disappoints. It’s clean, comfortable and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Their complimentary breakfast has variety and is fresh and the area is always maintained to a high level of cleanliness. The afternoon cookies are complimentary and coming back to them always hits the spot after a long day. I totally recommend this hotel to everyone who visits Oswego. It will not disappoint!!
I have stayed here a number of times when visiting my son at SUNY Oswego. It is comfortable, quiet and friendly. Due to Covid, breakfast was scaled back, and that was the only negative.
Hotel was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was all you can eat HOT and delicious. Staff is very friendly. Pool and hot tub area very clean and inviting with big screen TV. Rooms were booked in advance but werent available on arrival. Was asked to go to dinner or occupy our time till they figured out the problem. Although they found us a room eventually I wish were we were offered the upgraded rooms that were actually available and not asked to head to dinner or to share a room with others in our party while they figured it out. LEt go of the couple extra bucks to make your customer comfortable. Would make 5 stars if initial issue was more accommodating for us.
My wife and I have used this hotel for two years now since our daughter is an Suny Oswego student. The location is perfect for all sorts of food options and shopping. The hotel is spotless and updated all around. All ways sleep great and wake up for a nice breakfast before getting the day started. Staff is friendly and helpful.
This was by far the best hotel experience ever. We are a Junior A hockey team that is on the road about half the season. We are in a hotel 2 weekends a month and the Holiday Inn Express in Oswego was the best this year! The staff was polite, friendly, and courteous. They we were allowed to use the meeting room to accomodate our pre-game meal, and they made sure everything was perfect. Top notch service!!
I enjoy staying at this Holiday Inn Express. This was a 3rd time staying here. Beds are clean and comfy. Rooms are in good condition. Staff is helpful and friendly. About 2 weeks before my stay I called to check availability on a larger room but the hotel was booked and one was not available. They told me they would put a note in the computer that if one became available they would change my reservation. To my surprise, when we checked in we had a larger room. I honestly didnt except them to follow through but they proved me wrong. They do try to keep their customers happy.
We couldnt find anything to complain about while staying at this hotel. It is brand new, clean, beautiful and they have a very friendly service team. I really enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend to anyone who is visiting the area, for business or pleasure and/or both. It looks exactly as it does on the website. The pool and hot tub were amazing and relaxing. We will stay here when we come back next year for the bowling tournament.
While booking the hotel stay, I requested a certain item be placed into the room before our arrival. When I arrived, I asked if they were able to honor the request. I was advised the item was in the room. It was not. The in room safe was in the lock mode, which was quickly fixed by maintenance after I reported it to the front desk. I requested a king sized bed on the 1st floor. We found 2 queen sized beds and upon inquiring, we were told there were no Kings on that floor. Please update your literature to say that.The thermostat was in the MOST awkward places. Because of the bed configuration, I had to shimmy next to the side of the bed to adjust the thermostats temperature. In the room there were convenient amenities, such as a microwave, a dorm-sized fridge with a working freezer, and a Keurig coffee maker. I appreciate the printed directions on the coffee maker, since I had never used one before this trip. I still prefer my drip style coffee maker, but for a hotel room, it worked.Breakfast had a variety of foods available. Hot prepared foods, cold cereals, muffins, breads and awesome cinnamon rolls! Instead of the traditional waffle maker, I saw a pancake machine. Two small plate pancakes came out in about 3 minutes and were still warm half way through my breakfast! Coffee was great & not so hot that I burned my mouth on that first sip. The bathroom had a walk in shower with 2 sliding glass doors. There were shelves on the wall for bottles & soap. I was disappointed there werent more towel racks though. This hotel encourages guests to reuse towels, but without adequate towel bars how can the towels be hung to dry? This is the first time in a very long time I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express and I was pleasantly surprised to find a nice hotel.
Amazing hotel. Bright and modern and CLEAN. Beds/pillows were very comfy and the comforter was covered with a topsheet so that it can be laundered, making the top bedding as clean and the underneath bedding. I have never seen that done before. Pillows were labeled soft and firm, I have never seen that done before either. Rooms were bright and clean. Window dressings were streamlined and modern with adequate darkness for sleeping. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was adequate but could have been better. Stick with the cold foods, the eggs were rubbery and cold. The hotel has a beautiful pool, we didnt get a chance to use it though, and a firepit outside for guest use. The hotel was located by lots of shopping and restaurants. It only took 10 minutes to get to the college.
We were visiting my son at SUNY Oswego and were pleasantly surprised by our stay here. The service was excellent. The rooms were large and comfortable. We had an excellent nights sleep and loved how clean it was. It was also nice to return later in the afternoon the next day to the smell of home-baked cookies in the lobby. We will definitely return!
This is a fairly new property and has some modern touches, but still remains comfortable. Bathroom was beautiful and clean. I loved the lights behind the mirror and the entryway into the room itself. Only two points were negative the thermostat was nearly impossible to get to unless you climbed over the bed it should have been installed at the foot of the bed. The hotel could really use some signage coming in from the stoplight to let you know the office is around the other side of the hotel.
Great to get away during the holidays to visit friends. Very clean and staff is so friendly. Great location near restaurant and shopping. Appreciated the room upgrade and decided to stay an additional night! We’ll be back!
The cost was outrageous (there for graduation) and the demand for a two night stay is ridiculous as well;but that is what the industry does; supply and demand. As for the hotel; the staff was tentative but housekeeping did not clean my room after I asked her kindly to wait until 3pm to clean my room. She didn’t at all. I returned at 7pm and called the front desk to be told she had left for the day but she was willing to come up and give me fresh towels. Overall the hotel is nice; although the rooms are a little small.
I stay in numerous hotels and this by far was the best experience I ever had! The staff was outstanding! The complimentary water and cookies, outstanding! The staff even told me if I wanted juice, apple etc let them know and they would grab it for me! The beds at Holiday Inn Express are the best beds hotel wise. The cleanliness of hotel, excellent! I cannot stress enough how wonderful this hotel was!!
We were not disappointed in any way staying at this property. Staff were very attentive and you could see took pride in their jobs. The hotel is beautiful and clean as can be. We were directed to another hotel near the water, but I decided to stay at HI as I have had past great experiences with the brand. So glad we did. When in Oswego we will stay here for sure. Thanks for a great overnight and breakfast!
This hotel is new and very clean. Rooms have everything you need. Plenty of room, plenty of options for charging devices. Bathroom was very spacious and clean. Staff went above and beyond all of my expectations. Amy at the front desk was able to handle a problem I had encountered with my reservation. She took a situation that could have made my travel difficult, and handled it perfectly. I couldnt have asked for a better experience.
Ive stayed at this property a number of times and have considered it to be a decent place to stay. However, my latest trip to this hotel was not a good experience. The TV did not broadcast all of the stations it was supposed to, including the station that was broadcasting an NBA playoff game. When I called the front desk, they acknowledged that some rooms did not get some TV stations. They said that the TV in the lobby was working properly. So, this was a known issue that had not been resolved, and certainly was not mentioned at check-in. Why was I checked into a room without a fully functioning TV? And why wasnt the cable company already there to fix this problem? There was visible dust along the ceiling in the bedroom area. The tub floors was very slippery, merely because the surface was not treated (as other hotels do) to make it safer. I also heard noise during the night, which I hadnt experienced in prior stays. Overall this was very different from my previous stays and Im hoping was an anomaly.
My husband and I visit the Oswego, NY area about once a year to visit friends and family. Weve stayed at other places, but we really enjoy staying at this Holiday Inn Express in Oswego. The rooms are clean, the beds are very comfortable and the staff members are all so nice. This latest visit was during the Corona Virus, so there were measures in place at the hotel when we checked in. There was a marker on the tile (red tape) to remind me to not go past it
Another great stay at Holiday Inn express, I have been coming to this hotel for the last for five years and have never been disappointed. Staff staff is always wonderful, place is always clean I’ve never had any issues I look forward to returning in the fall.

Dan personally took my initial call for booking and worked some magic to ensure we had great accommodations for the duration of our stay. Both the front desk and the cleaning staff made my family feel like we were the only guests on the property.The facility is brand new and the cleaning staff takes extreme pride in their work and I am confident that this place will still look great in years to come.I am confident that if you chose to stay here you wont be disappointed, this should be your only choice for Oswego, NY.
We had a great time at this hotel, the staff was attentive to us and interacted with our children. The hotel was very clean and the rooms are good size. It is a quiet area close to downtown. We will stay here again when we come out to Oswego!
From the time we walked in the door to the time we left the staff was very welcoming and helpful. Was great to be able to use the pool and fitness facilities. Staff tried to open the fireplace for us as well. Will definitely be back.
Lovely, new hotel with all the modern amenities, free wi-fi and breakfast too. Chose by chance based on price but was pleasantly surprised. Our oldest daughter is in her freshman year at SUNY Oswego and although this hotel in across town from the school, its near all the places you take them to stock up on what they need. It looks to be the nicest place in town too. The rooms are very large, sleek and modern with higher than normal ceilings. We have 3 other kids and can sleep them all in a 2 queen room because there is also a nice pull-out couch. The bathroom is clean with a large shower, good water pressure, nice toiletries and cool light-up mirror. The lobby is clean, wth coffee 24/7 with a loungey feel. A bar would be a nice addition for us tired parents to unwind. There is also a pool for our other 3 kids to play at and a fire pit off the lobby. Defiantly will stay here on all our visits!
This hotel is modernly decorated and super clean. They use Bath and Body Works brand toiletries. The lighting in room was great and the blackout curtains were even better. The free breakfast was amazing!
From the moment I walked in the hotel I knew it was going to a good overnight stay. The front desk staff,; our room; the overall cleanliness and appearance of the hotel; the coffee bar and the next mornings breakfast bar - NOT a continental breakfast but a plentiful breakfast bar with something for everyone no matter what your dietary needs.Oh and the kicker: as we were leaving that first night to go see Lake Ontario, there were freshly baked chocolate chip cookies at the front desk. I couldnt resist! The welcome and hospitality from beginning to end exceeded all of my expectations!
My wife and stay at this hotel every time we come into Oswego. The staff is absolutely outstanding!! It is quiet and clean and the atmosphere is very peaceful. The only thing I would say is that they should raise the pool temperature quite a bit, especially during the winter months. That being said, we will continue to stay at this hotel because we love it there.
We arrived close to 11pm and was met by Brystin at the front desk. She discovered our double was given up due to the hotel being completely booked, but quickly rectified the problem and upgraded us to a better room and thanked me for being an IHG Rewards member. Brystin quickly took care of a problem with so little effort and ease - something other hotels seem to struggle with at times.It’s still very early on in a busy 2018 Travel season, but Brystin takes the Front Desk Manager award! Oh yeah, the hotel... couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised. Clean, well lit, modern, and well taken care of. Morning breakfast was hot and well maintained - no mess!Cleaning staff were out early taking care of the grounds and everyone was pleasant.We stayed at another hotel by the river last time we were in Oswego, but would definitely stay at the HI Express again. Thanks to their staff for a great stay!
My wife and I took our two boys (ages 3 and 5) for an overnight stay to relax and use the pool over spring break. The staff was friendly, pool and hot tub are in great condition, and the overall experience was fantastic! We were upgraded to a suite at no cost for being a IHG rewards card member, walked to the restaurant next door for dinner, and enjoyed a continental breakfast the next morning before heading home. An overall great experience that we look forwarding to doing again in the future!

Relatively new Holiday Inn Express. No problems. Bed was comfortable, room was clean and well appointed. Swimming pool and hot tub were appreciated although the hot tub was not as hot as we like, and the pool was very cold. Laundry facilities are available for a fee, not for free like some other Holiday Inn Express locations. Didnt use the fitness room, but it looked nice.
This hotel is new and has been open just a few months. The entire staff was friendly and courteous throughout our 6 night stay in Oswego, NY. The rooms are spacious, modern and well maintained. If I were to complain about one thing it would be the water pressure in the shower, as it was not very strong. Otherwise the room was great. The housekeeping staff was very friendly and greeted us each day and offered us anything they could. The daily breakfast is a step above just a regular continental breakfast and it was nice to get hot eggs, pancakes and other items each day. I will for sure stay here on my next visit to Oswego. My only major complaint would be the price of the hotel. I recognize I was there over Labor Day weekend, but the room price was very high for Oswego, NY. I would expect to pay those prices in Manhattan, but not a small town like Oswego!
Our stay was exceptional from start to finish. The accommodated all our special requests. Very comfortable beds. Many lighting options. Excellent wi-fi, access to business center, swimming pool and full breakfast with many options to choose from. Very convenient location to so many things from basic needs stores to restaurants to Lake Ontario. Very modern amenities from lighting to electronic shades for privacy or room darkening. Very soundproof. Beware using GPS - the hotel is so new it couldnt find it but we did. Best hotel in the entire area.
The hotel was great. The only issue I had was at breakfast. It was about 9:40 when I came down. Breakfast runs till 10am. No eggs were left, 2 sausages left. The person working the area had no interest in refilling anything. Closed one of the doors and made a comment to someone in the backroom that she now has to fill the fridge again because someone just took 2 milks. And was also overheard saying, I just want to go home. Like I said, I really have no issue with the hotel. The staff at check in and check was extremely polite. The hotel is extremely clean. That was the only issue.
After a 3 hour car ride my daughters and I were looking forward to resting up a bit, then freshening up to go get some dinner. As we approached our room, we seen the door was propped open with the lock. I peeked in and said hello but no one answered. That room was not cleaned. So downstairs I went to get a new room. The front desk clerk looked annoyed and went in the back. A few moments later the manager came out. After questioning me about the original room, she said she would upgrade us to a king bed with a pull out sofa. I politely said no thank you, I just want the room I booked which was a 2 queen bed room. She said she wasnt sure if they had any on that floor. I said that it didnt matter what floor we are on. I finally got a new room and was offered 5,000 reward points. I declined, then was told by the manager that I Really should accept them. Ok I guess??!! The new room was at least clean but was overpowered with a deodorizer smell which took hours to dissipate. We all have asthma so that was a big negative for us. Coming back from dinner, we stopped at the coffee bar and overheard the front desk clerk answering a personal call on her cell phone and loudly using obscenities so even we could hear them! How classy!! In the morning, we were going about getting breakfast and the hostess was working hard refilling items on the buffet. I asked a question and was given a very short, curt and exasperated answer...if you dont like your job, do society a favor and quit! Nobody needs that kind of attitude at 8am!! For a sleek, modern looking hotel, this staff needs a lot of work!! We will never use Holiday Inn again!!
This Holiday Inn Express is about 2 months old and obviously, in brand new condition.The front desk staff were just so friendly, helpful and accommodating. The rooms were of nice size and well thought out with extra outlets that arent hidden, a wonderful air conditioning system, refrigerator and microwave, and the flat screen TV mounted on the wall. Fell asleep like a baby on the much better than average bed with pillows that put you to sleep in seconds.The morning FREE breakfast was good and well spread out.Have a few more visits planned in the area soon and this is my go to hotel. It is perfect for families too, and, right outside the hotel is a Dunkin Donuts and Ruby Tuesdays.We used to stay elsewhere in Oswego, but not anymore. Thanks again to the great staff for a perfect visit.Stayed June 2016, traveled on business
We were in town for five days due to a funeral in the family. They were very caring staff and it was an excellent experience all around. We loved the breakfast, especially the Cinnabon rolls! Everything was clean, quiet, no complaints. We would definitely stay here again.
I was so happy to finally find a nice clean room with fresh comfortable bedding! I am never able to fully sink in and get comfortable in other hotel beds because they do not feel clean enough for me. The Holiday inn express in Oswego was super clean and it was the first time I ever slept soundly in a hotel. My husband even slept through the night with no back pain!I plan to stay repeatedly during my sons college years.
Staff were the friendliest and most outgoing people I have ever met at a hotel. They went out of their way to make sure that you felt at home away from home.
Room was spotless and clean. Well appointed. Good quality bedding. Breakfast was poor, inadequate, and poorly organized. Which is ok if paying $80 a night, but I paid more here than at a Hilton in Syracuse. Not good enough and it is the last impression we have.
We have stayed here several times during the past year and have been extremely satisfied every time, especially compared to several of the other hotels we have stayed at in the area. New hotel with modern design, confortable bed and pillows. Average free breakfast. The only disappointment was there not being any luggage carts in the lobby when we arrived, and, the staff person maintaining the breakfast didnt announce the breakfast was closing and giving us the opportunity to grab anything additional before it closed.
Nice place, staff was always helpful with anything we asked. Disappointed that there were people hanging out not wearing masks. Also the hand sanitizer station at the elevator on 1st floor was never filled. Also dont understand why they could have coffee out and available, but not hot water for tea. That needs a logical explanation!
This is our favorite holiday inn to stay at. It is always clean and comfortable, but the best part is the staff, we have stayed here once a year for the past 4 years when we go to the sterling renaissance festival and every year it amazes us on just how friendly and welcoming the staff is. They always make you feel welcome. We have stayed at a lot of holiday inns and this is our favorite. Whoever runs this holiday inn is doing a great job and to the staff working there thank you.
What a wonderful place to be. So close to the lake and yet close to all of the finest restaurants and other attractions, Clean rooms and the best of service one could ask for. We were checking out in the morning at 5 A.M and the staff had little to go breakfast bags for us. Such a pleasant surprise and the staff was full of smiles and so friendly. Quick easy check in and check out process. Very clean, quiet, perfect rooms. I would go back to the Holiday Inn Express in Oswego whenever possible. Great place and a great time for my friends and family.
I enjoyed my stay, which was for business, very much. The bed was among the most comfortable Ive encountered, and I travel frequently. Everything was very clean and fresh, and the hotel staff were helpful and pleasant. The hotel was easy to find, and the parking area well-lit. I only wish Id had time to try out the pool and hot tub, and the outdoor fire pit.

The beds are extremely comfortable. The pool and hot tub are clean and relaxing. We were here to visit my son at nearby SUNY Oswego. Super clean hotel (everything looked new), both inside the room and in all the common areas. Breakfast was average, but satisfying. Overall: great job, staff. Now, Oswego, NY is not exactly a central hub, so I think the price per room is a bit steep.
Good room. It was a little pricey, but it had everything we needed. Location is close to SUNY NY. The deer in the back yard was a nice touch.
I had to give it 4 stars mainly for one reason, the air conditioning in the room only goes to 68 degrees. Now this may not be a big deal to everyone, but as a mature woman who gets intense hot flashes, it is a big deal. Everything else was great. Clean, newer, quiet, and decent breakfast options.
I frequently travel for work and stay at a variety of establishments. I was quite impressed thenthe overall experience here. Great amenities, beautiful colors, friendly staff, and easy check in/out. The hot tub could have been hotter, but has plenty of space with a great jet system.
Stayed at this IHG property will taking my daughter to visit colleges. Wonderful experience. The hotel is new and rooms are large. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms were quiet and beds comfortable. Wish I had brought a bathing suit since the hot tub looked so inviting after a 5 hour drive. Id definitely stay there again.

Hotel was very clean and the rooms were very nice. Breakfast was fine and offered many choices.Only complaint a/c has a censor for motion if you are not moving around it will not run. An energy thing which is good but if you like your room really cool at night when sleeping it will shut off due to no activity.

At first I thought it was different with modular furnishings. I soon realized that ithe environment was well thought out and met every need. The bed was great, slept like a baby. The bathroom was clean bright and spatious. First time I ever had a towel wrap around my body in a hotel. Lots of places to charge your phone by the bed and good set up to do work for business if needed. Breakfast offered hot food, yogurt, and a wide variety. Wish I was staying for more than one night.
I wasn’t planning on staying in a hotel over a visit for Thanksgiving—but my mother’s house was overflowing with surprise family members staying. One bathroom for nine people? No thanks!Holiday Inn Oswego is a newer hotel (Oswego is a small city, and many of the hotels are dated). This location provides peace and relaxation at the end of good but intense days with family. I really loved being able to sleep in a comfortable bed, have breakfast choices, and swim and workout. It helped make my stay refreshing instead of stressing over sleeping arrangements and bathroom queues!
I work as a travel nurse and I needed a place to stay for one night. I work as an overnight nurse and I was able to check in at 8am, get a wonderful hot breakfast to take to my room and some snacks for when I woke up. I did my laundry in their service on site, kinda stinky though, get a great days sleep in a huge king bed and get up in the afternoon, clean up in the immaculate bathroom, have a cold drink from my fridge, a warm muffin that I heated up in my microwave with hot coffee from my in room Keurig. I would define use this facility again but would recommend they wash the washing machine cause it was stinky
This hoilday in was excellent in every way . I booked last minute and when i arrived it was the grand opening celebration ! I was welcomed by the staff to participate and I did . I meet a bunch of wonderful people . The staff was kind and courteous. The room as usual was great ,clean, inviting . The room made you want to go in sit back and relax . The room was quiet and the darkness level was perfect , I like it cold and with a new A/C unit it did not disappoint ! I travel a lot for work and I try to stay at holiday inn express exclusively. This hotel was top notch and since it was the grand opening there was even fireworks !! I got to see them right from my hotel room . once again great place and value.
Because of Holiday inns past reputation as a low budget hotel, I was not expecting much for my overnight stay. I was totally surprised! The hotel exceeded my expectations. It was clean and the staff was friendly. The food offering for breakfast was far better than the other hotel breakfast at the same level. I would definitely come back to a Holiday inn Express.
I stayed for 1 night as I was visiting my son at the nearby SUNY campus. My wife and I had an extremely good sleep the bed was one of the best I have slept in, at a hotel! The bathroom was very clean and the shower very large. The various plugs for my I Phone and I Pad were on point! The furniture was very comfortable and contemporary. I will stay here again when I come up again! I sure hope all Holiday Express Hotel are as good as this one!

Staff was great and hotel was clean! The staff was accommodating and friendly especially Jamie at the front desk. The hotel was very clean and easy to navigate. Parking was a plenty and there were several entrances that made it easily accessible.
Overall experience was amazing! My children and me really enjoyed the hospitality and when we visited another hotel the following day kep talking about wanting to go back to Holiday Inn. The staff were amazing and the pool and spa really relaxes me and my children. I now know that in the future Holiday Inn will be my choice! Thank you for making my stay so much nicer!
An excellent place to stay. This is a new hotel and the pride the staff has definitely shows it. Plenty of USB jacks throughout the room. Great blackout curtains. Great staff. A few to mention is James, Amy, Joana, Jessica and Colleen. I went to the front desk and asked if they had an USB cable I could borrow in order to update my Garmin. Jessica happily looked though a box but did not have the type I required. James overheard the conversation and stated he has one at home and would bring it in the next day. True to his word he did. He went above his duties and I do really appreciate this gentleman. Colleen did an excellent job with the breakfasts. Amy, Joana, Jessica and Colleen always have kind words and a smile whenever I see them. Wonderful ladies!!!!!I will be returning this this hotel again!!!
Great property and staff. I travel globally for work and when I’m making my decision of where to stay many factors are considered. This stay was for pleasure as I was visiting my parents and sisters. This location is a great fit for either... business or pleasure. The room amenities are conducive to a working environment, yet casual and comfortable enough to disconnect and relax. The staff was great to interact with from the sales team, front desk and breakfast area, all delivered. IHG hotels have become my choice when traveling. Thanks to all at the Oswego NY location and I look forward to my future stays. Great job on delivering and exceeding my expectations.
Stayed for one night to take my daughter on a college visit at SUNY Oswego. Literally 5 minutes from the school. Staff was super friendly. Room was impeccable. Beds and pillows provided the best sleep Ive had in months. My wife and daughter feel the same. Overall great experience.
This is a very nice hotel. There is even an outdoor adult party gas firepit. In the lobby the have plenty of space to hang out after a long day. Our beds were comfortable and the room was clean, not as fancy as the lobby but still very nice. Very reasonably priced I thought.
Wished we had booked more nights at this hotel than we did while visiting the Oswego area. This new hotel is about as close to PERFECT as they come. Im a road warrior and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel. Great Staff, great room, great everything. LOVED the fire-pit! Loved the blackout shades!. Youll love it too!!!
We were impressed at all the hotel had to offer, from the food to the patio. They had a grill guests could use if they wanted to make their own food and a gas firepit to sit in front of. The breakfast options were good but could have used variety that changes each day

I made my booking by calling. Upon arriving at the hotel we realized that the date of my booking over the phone was incorrect. The woman working the front desk was absolutely wonderful about changing the date for me and getting the room at the rate that we had booked for our block for our hockey team. This will have been the third time that Ive stayed at this hotel in Oswego and it was absolutely wonderful, I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
I liked the hotel. The staff was pleasant. The room was updated and clean. I stayed here during my childs college tour. Should she decide to attend Oswego, this will be my hotel of choice. I thought it could be a little cheaper but then driving around I noticed that it was one to the nicer hotels.

This was our first trip to Oswego, and we decided to stay at this Hotel. I cannot begin to express how pleased we were with our stay, everything was Perfect! From the convenience of finding this location, the overall cleanliness, to the Wonderful Buffet and the Friendliness Of ALL the Staff..I have never stayed in such a Clean hotel. We will be back again and definitely will be staying here!!!
While working at a nearby power plant the hotel is very convenient. The staff is attentive and pleasant. During the booking stage (10-12 rooms with moving dates) the staff was very helpful and accommodating. Overall good experience.
The staff went above and beyond with our entire group! We travelled from Ontario to Oswego for a U18 hockey tournament. We were treated so well by staff. I have stayed at a few hotels in Oswego through the years. Some real bad and some okay. That changed once this IHG opened. This has been my go to place every time I am in town. If you want clean, spacious and comfortable rooms then this hotel fits the bill. The breakfast is very good and starts your day off right. Front end staff treats you like family greeting you upon arrival. Lobby is spacious with PC’s for you to use if needed. Bottom line is there no better place to stay when in Oswego.

I took my family to the Sterling Renaissance Festival this past weekend.Our hotel was perfect!! Very helpful staff, wonderful rooms and a super pool and hot tub. Breakfast was a real bonus especially when I have 3 teenage boys,2 girls, a daughter and son-in-law. Ruby Tuesdays was a nice surprise as well.

From the moment I booked the reservation I knew our family was in for a treat!!!! The Hotel was truly a Home away from Home! The attention that the staff provides, the many poofy pillows and soft comforters, the darkened blinds all make you want to come back and back again. Clean fresh fragrances, well designed amenities, comfortable bed, large hot shower with sliding glass doors, fast computers, great pool and work out facilities! Keurig in room, microwave, fridge, built in racks for luggage! (So clean, you think about taking the cleaning crew home with you!) You know I am critical as some of my followers have noticed of my reviews. This one rates one of the best Hotels we visited. They accommodate all of your requests with a smile and a friendly face. The breakfast was great, cinnamon rolls soft and sweet! Lots of choices, fresh and clean. The lobby has many nooks and crannies! It was my Daughters birthday and the staff specially prepared a sweet breakfast celebration!!! What a treat this Hotel is and it is nearby the beautiful scenic waterways of Oswego!!!! During breakfast, watching the big HDTV in the lobby, we talked about our next visit to this charming, clean, relaxing, modern, well designed Hotel!!! Areas have both lit and dim areas giving a sense of privacy. The designs are amazing! In addition they have a great business meeting room as well!!! I am a fan!!! We are grateful to have such an amazing place to call Home when we visit Oswego!!!!
I am a mom of a college athlete in the area. I have made and stayed at several hotels in area. Being H INN was new decided to check it out. Extremely clean , courteous staff, safe area. The rooms were upto date technology wise and amenities. and Very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was better than others Id stayed at in area. The only down fall is the price. As the price is comparable to the other big named hotels in area it lacks the location/view of being on the water. However I will say location to a main strip filled with shops an restaurants is convenient . I would defantiy stay here again.
This hotel is in a great location for attending SUNY Oswego activities. This is the only hotel I stay at while attending my sons college activities. It is very clean, safe and the staff is excellent. Its great to have the breakfast included. I highly recommend this hotel. I just wish they didnt raise the rates on move-in, move-out and graduation weekends.
I was surprised at how beautiful and modern the hotel was; it is unlike any other HIE Ive ever stayed at As someone who travels every week, the aesthetics of my hotel room is very important to me. What a wonderful vision it was to see when the elevator door opened a huge graphic of the floor number was painted on the wall. And the wonderful vision continued as I walked down the hall and the sconces on the wall beamed a light in an X shape all the way the way down a bright well lit hall. I loved the colors and décor of the room. I especially loved how the window was framed with a thick beam which gave it an artistic quality.The pre-dawn view from the window with the lights of the town and the dark outline of the trees in the distance was like a painting. Sadly I laid in bed too long admiring the view before I thought to take a picture; by the time I got up, the shot was gone.My only criticism is the quality of the toiletries; they didnt fit with the room. They looked like what you would find in a cheap motel. That may have been appropriate of the Holiday Inns of long ago but it does not fit with this model.Ill definitely stay at more HIEs like this in the future.
Room and facility is new and clean. Beds comfy.Window shades make the room nice and dark....but the blinking lights on smoke alarms is very distraction when trying to sleep!Some breakfast items were stale and dry.Pool was closed!A bit surprised rates were so high for that time of year.
This new hotel in Onswego is a great addition to the area. It offers a home town feel for travelers who stop by to visit family in the area or for anyone enjoying what Onswego event that may be going on at any giving time. We sure did feel right at home! Great stall wonterful choice of hot breakfast delight to start your day.I would recommend this hotel to all my family and friends for sure!Thank you for a great stay!
We had a wonderful experience. Staff were courteous and the hotel was clean. The team used the grill and outside patio for mid day picnic and pool in the evening for some splashing fun. Would return and recommend to others.
Wonderful service comfortable sleeping, extremely nice night manager on duty tried to get the outside fire pit lid but couldnt. So because Im a maintenance person for a number of years I figured out the problem reset it and got it working. So a group of us hung out by the fire for a while and socialized. Wonderful time there. The only other thing that was not a good experience was getting downstairs for breakfast at 9:55 AM and everything was already taken down and gone. Otherwise enjoy the stay there everything is right in the area in walking distance of the hotel and that was my second year staying in Oswego since the race is there.
Beautiful brand new hotel, you can SMELL how new it is! Eve at front desk SO friendly, helpful, GREAT demeanor. Very clean hotel. Housekeeping staff awesome, kept room clean, replenished our towels promptly. Will be staying here again next month for move-in day at college! This hotel is excellent. We stayed here to bring our daughter for her college orientation. We will most definitely be back! This is our hotel for the next 4 years. It’s clean,comfortable the employees are pleasant and they serve breakfast in the morning!
Arrived 1:35 PM and was met with You are too early, check in is at 3:00 in complete disgust. I told her I had requested an early check in. The rest of the check in process was very uncomfortable. When I arrived home I realized they had overcharged my card so I called the hotel.They put me on hold for 10 min. then said they would forward the issue to the hotel manager and she would call me right back. The next day I called again and was put on hold for 17min, where I had to hang up and call again. When I finally got the hotel manager on the phone she said she was not made aware of the issue and if I didnt change my tone she would not help me. Very unprofessional and rude , as it was completely there mistake.
I found the hotel clean and comfortable for my stay. Staff was nice and helpful. Internet works well.I stayed there on a business trip and there is no access / view to the lake or water. If you want to stay in Oswego for the lake and for fun, you may consider other options. But for my stay, it was perfect.
As we checked into the hotel we were greeted instantly by Jessica. Jessica and Amy were very helpful with everything we needed during our stay. The hotel is very well situated in town near restaurants and shopping centers. The whole facility including fitness center, pool, laundry room and breakfast lounge area are very clean and decorated very nicely. I highly recommend Oswego Holiday Inn Express to anyone traveling to or passing by and need a comfortable place to sleep.
Very pleased with the friendly staff, clean rooms, landscaping and parking accommodations. Complimentary breakfast included healthy options for vegetarians. Check in process was fast as does check out process. Pool and fitness rooms were well lit and large. Pleased with the security and safety features.
This hotel is clean with a nice breakfast. They keep coffee and hot water out in the lobby during the day and night. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the area and places to go to eat. The pool and exercise room are very clean and well kept.
I would definitely stay here again. Everything looked brand new, the room was very clean, the water pressure in the shower was awesome, and the staff was professional and courteous. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful and the staff was very polite and made sure we had everything we needed.
This appears to be a new property, the location worked perfectly for our route the following day. LIZ facilitated our check-in process and did a fantastic job...above and beyond expectations! Bed was super comfy, very clean room and the breakfast was top-notch as well. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this Holiday Inn Express!
Being newly built in the spring of 2016 helps. The place is clean, well designed, spacious, and comfortable. The towels were soft and absorbent - unlike the sometimes tired and maybe old towels at other places. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the breakfast was first class in all aspects. Hotels dont get that a nightlight is necessary for older male guests. The one I usually carry was left at out last stop. Leaving the microwave door open solved the problem!

This brand new hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the Oswego Speedway. It was very clean, friendly and attentive staff and the room was spacious. It was a real treat to stay in a hotel that had a pet free policy. Not only was it quiet, but the nicely manicured lawns will stay green.
My family and I stayed at this hotel for my daughters college graduation as I am sure most of the families there were for the same thing. I am pretty sure the hotel was full as I checked in around one and asked if we were the last and she said no they were expecting another guest. We went done for breakfast the next morning with about 45 mins to go till breakfast ended and there was nothing. Half of a half a tray of cinnabons, no scrambled eggs of which they were serving two choices, there was some sausage, a few bagels and muffins. Now we were not the only family looking for food. Not enough of anything to put a hot breakfast together but ok its their first graduation maybe they didnt realize so I will give them a break. We went to McDonalds. Morning two went down even earlier. same thing. Lesson not learned from day one. I am not saying that the free breakfast is the only reason we stay at Holiday Inn but it is a positive. Did I complain at the time I did not as they were working as hard as they could they just did not plan ahead for day one or correct the problem on day two so they were always behind the eight ball. As they are a new hotel and will be there for many more graduations as it was the nicest of hotels that I have stayed in during the last 4 years in the area I am suggesting that they work on the breakfast service as I had better service at the lesser hotels no matter what time I arrived to eat. Would I recommend the property sure the front desk staff was very nice but would warn them about breakfast service.
Nice newer hotel and clean. My issue was the temp of the room. They have it locked and you cannot change it from 68. Which it felt cooler than that. Barely slept because i was so cold. When i complained about it on checkout they said i should have called they would have gave me more blankets. Will never spend 150$ for a few hours of sleep in a cold room again. I guess i will be avoiding this chain for any future stays.

2022-02-25Positive: Friendly Staff. Quiet at night. Pretty good breakfast & one of us is gluten free. Made use of pool (too much chlorine, but we understand) & exercise room. Loved that there was a laundry facility. Way better than the last HIE we stayed at. Negative: Would have liked a fan in the bathroom

2022-05-06Everything in this hotel that I saw was very clean and well taken care of. Breakfast was ready at 5:30 in the morning, a full half hour early. Which was very convenient and appreciated. I just wish there was a better restaurant option within walking distance.

2022-05-21Called to plan a night for my kids and I so we could take a mini vacation and use the pool seeing how no beaches are open yet. Even though Ive stayed at Holiday Inns before on different trips I was told nobody within 50 miles of the hotel in Oswego could rent a room from that location. To my experience to be asked what my stay is for other than small talk or customer service is invasive and irrelevant. When asked for an explanation we were told that the OWNER of Holiday Inn doesnt allow oswego residents. We called corporate and they booked us the room with no problem at a discounted rate and said they have no idea what that person was talking about and that was not a rule anymore at any location. My advise is just book online because the people that work there obviously dont want to work.

2022-02-15The front desk employee which was a guy was very rude and nasty to me. He threatened to kicked me out and all I was doing was checking in. He threatened to have security come up to my room and remove me from the property. Then yesterday as I was getting back to the hotel for the night he gave me the peace sign. He made me feel very uncomfortable with my stay there. I couldnt even enjoy the pool or anything cause of him.

2021-09-23I stayed in mid September 2021. I was in town for my daughters college volleyball tournament. The hotel was clean, the staff friendly, kind and efficient. The room was super clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast has some fantastic hot options - cheese omelets, biscuits and gravy and hash! Many continental choices as well. The check out process was easy and the staff super helpful.
