We stayed for 2 days. Good service, great bed but one thing really upsets us was the pool. From the first day, the pool was closed. It is holiday season where so many kids going be there and the pool got closed. They supposed to take inform in the website where I might look for another hotel. My kids was not happy and turn out to be we just stayed in the room. The breakfast was hot and not much variety.
We had a short but wonderful experience. If being picky, 2 of 4 keys stopped working, as were checking out, and shower gel didnt last through both showers needed it for. Having stayed only one night, we didnt bother to mention to staff but they wouldve taken care of us if asked. Pleased as usual with holiday inn
We had a great experience at this hotel. It was expensive because of proximity to West Point.Needs to have a better breakfast choices, but it still was a relatively hot breakfast. They used to have a better breakfast before COVID, so maybe COVID had something to do with it.Anyway, we did enjoy our stay there.
Stay was mostly pleasant, but had a few problems. Breakfast was cold and eggs rubbery. Room cleaned thoroughly and daily. When we arrived, phone in room did not work and there were carpet nails coming through the carpet outside the bathroom door. Notified front desk first night and 2 subsequent times, but never repaired. Location is great, especially if you are going to West Point. Right near Bear Mountain and centrally located
Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet standards for the price. Pleasant staff but the hotel needs an upgrade. The bed was uncomfortable, mattress was clearly old. The bathroom was outdated and needed a new shower. Too bad because hotel looks good from the outside but left a lot to to be desired once we got to the room.
No soap to wash hands and no body gel in the room. The hotel had run out of both. Hand sanitizer dispenser on the floor was empty. This is how COVID safety measures are taken seriously at Holiday Inn Express I guess!Room was very outdated. Light switch next to the bed was broken. Couldnt turn on/off the light. Not enough tables for breakfast (3-4 at most)Was given a wrong invoice (charged for $210 for a free reward stay). Mentioned that to the front desk, was just advised: this is wrong (without apologizing or explaining what happened).
The hotel had an odd odor. The bathroom looked worn. There was no soap for the bathroom. The room had no USB ports. The room temperature was hard to regulate. The bed wasn’t very comfortable. One of the access doors didn’t work. The condition of the hotel had gone downhill since our last stay. I do not feel we got our value for the dollar.
I went there with my family. The hotel staff were super friendly and helpful. We loved staying there and would definitely return. However, we booked the king suite and we expected the room to be much cleaner than we found our room to be. We found some dirt on the bed including a spider on the bed and another one in the bathroom. We had to clean and dust the whole bed. Floor wasnt vacuumed. Found hair on the floor and also in the bathroom. For the cleanliness i would give 2/5 but rest was great. Also, we loved how they set up the pool time. You have to sign up for the pool at the front desk and each hotel guest gets an hour at the pool or until the next guest shows up for their turn. We would definitely go back but hoping the room will be properly cleaned.
Our stay was only one night but it was a good night. Comfortable- we got breakfast to go due to a mis-understanding of the times. no worries though- the attendanced was very helpful making plates. I left my planner someplace in the hotel and came back three days later and the office had saved it in lost and found. Thank you very much. excellent customer service. Will stay here again and again.
It was a great stay. Nice people and a great room. Stayed the weekend with no problems. Staff was very kind and polite. Some of the jets in the hot tub were not working and the fridge was up to high so everything inside kept freezing but besides that I had no problems. Enjoyed the time
Have stayed at this hotel several times before out of necessity. Very disappointed with the lack of maintenance and upkeep. Curtains and sheers had large holes in them. Running faucet and broken light fixture. Back of bathroom door was gross with old tooth paste stains. Tub and shower fixture were badly in need of updating. Overall, room needed to be painted, lighting needed to be upgraded and carpet replaced.
You can tell by looking around the hotel is old and worn out. They do minor upgrades here and there. The hallways were not air conditioned and stuffy. When I arrived at 12:30 at night they refuse to give me the government rate even though theyve had previously the last few times Ive been there which causes an issue with my employer. Finally get to my room at 1:00 in the morning to find a soaking wet floor. Had to change rooms. Went to get my things out of the first room and the door was jammed shut. Had to call the front desk. Was offered 250 bonus points for the inconvenience. Will be stay away from this place going forward after asking should I shut the air off for the room since it isnt dry, and they said no keep it on for the next guests which means they were going to put someone in the room with soaking wet carpet and I was in it so not cleaned. Eeewww
The location of the hotel was prefect for visiting West Point Academy, Woodbury Outlet, Storm King Art Center. The hotel room was surprisingly spacious. Every staff we encountered was friendly, greeting with smiles. Hot breakfast was offered including hot coffee, sausages and egg & cheese omelette. Breakfast was served by hotel staff to avoid being touched by individual customer, which I believe it’s the best way to keep everyone safe. The only thing I think could be improved was the air conditioner. It was loud. I had to turn it off at night.
Great place to stay. Beds were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good, with Covid still in the picture they had hot food: eggs, pork and turkey sausages, cereals, yogurts, fruits, bagels, cinnamon cakes, granola bars, coffee, hot cocoa, teas, etc Staff was friendly, courteous and professional. Very convenient to Bear Mountain where I was attending a wedding.i enjoyed my stay !!!
The hotel location is great, close to West Point Academy, Woodbury Outlet, Storm King Art Certer, etc. The hotel room is spacious. Every staff we encountered was friendly, greeting with smile. Hot breakfast was offered and served by hotel staff which showed the serious measures the hotel took to protect the health of its customers. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit the area.
We were in town for 2 nights. The hotel was quiet and served its purpose. The staff we encountered were all helpful and friendly. The room and ecspecially the bathroom have seen their day. It was clean but needs updating. The tub surround was so worn it looked very dirty, I checked and it was just worn away. The side mirror was hung for someone about 6 feet tall. I am 57 and I had to look up to see myself and put my makeup on. The mirror was loose and proably just needed to be tightened, but obvious signs of someone not caring. If you need the basics and arent too fussy this hotel would fit the bill.
I loved Gabriel and his entire hotel staff ! Everyone was super friendly and very accommodating . The room was super clean as well as the bathroom . The bed was exceptionally comfortable as were the pillows . The food is always great to have as usually I am so busy I don’t have time to grab some thing so this is so accessible that it’s good to take a moment to grab a quick bite before heading out . Love love this hotel !! ❤️
Clean and quiet hotel with ample parking. The breakfast was excellent. The hot buffet is managed by a server and items like muffins, bread slices, and bagels are individually wrapped. Yogurt, milk, cereal, and juice are also available. There is also hot water, tea, and coffee in the breakfast area.
Got stuck in a ground floor room facing the parking lot with blinds that didn’t close (zero privacy) and an extra noisy heating unit that was set so high it was uncomfortable to sleep (even when we turned it down). To add insult to injury, the check-in staff were quite unwelcoming, didn’t even respond to a cordial “good evening” or a simple “thank you”. Ugh. Never again.
Positive: Location. If not for the problem with the shower in our room, the room would have been great. Negative: The room we were assigned should not have been in the available inventory. It was a dangerous room. The shower did not work properly. The handle was broken, impossible to turn on or off, adjust temperature, dangerous, potential scalding.
My wife and I commonly stay in IHG hotels specifically Holiday Inn (and Express). We have never had an issue and we have stayed in this particular hotel in the past. However, room 201 was far below what we expected. The mattress either had broken springs or compressed foam - very uncomfortable. The office chair was ripped, torn and old - definitely needs to be replaced. The staff was kind, but that doesnt help me sleep, or get work done at the desk. A quick inspection will reveal that the mattress and office chair in room 201 need to be replaced ASAP.
While this property is convenient to West Point, save your money and make a reservation elsewhere. There are plenty of better options around Highland Falls and Newburg. The weekend rate is ridiculous for what they are offering. The room we stayed in was falling apart and the air conditioner was unable to keep up in the heat.
Not good in terms of hotel room… mold all over the bedroom, the room was SUPER humid that the bedding was damp couldn’t sleep because of that. Sad that this is a hotel right by West Point that doesn’t have the same standards as West Point in their rooms. The front desk staff was good but the hotel was sold out so they couldn’t move so we ending up checking out after 1 night.
Hotel was cleaning staff was pleasant we enjoyed our stay for the most part. But the TV was not working and it turned out that when we brought it to the managers attention and she called engineering the engineer knew it didn’t work and said he needed a piece but didn’t have it and had to order it. He should have told the manager so we didn’t spend 45 minutes trying to fix something that was unfixable. That proactive communication would’ve helped a lot. Bed was awesome and totally comfortable. Overall good experience for the price
My stay was pleasant. The staff made sure the accommodations were up to my satisfaction. The staff provided great customer service. During my stay I was happy to find that my room was cleaned and things like wash cloths and towels were replaced with clean ones everyday.
Lodged in during Winter. Its so close to Bear Mtn and other interesting historic and nature trails(no need to drive).Hotel is clean although bathroom a little dated. Lobby is interesting with its West Point inspired ambiance.Gym is also a little claustrophobic but pool with jacuzzi makes up for it.Parking is adequate. The inn has great mountain views . Very relaxing place to stay.oh if youre a regular Holiday Inn customer pls prepare to have same breakfast that you have for years, not that its bad but i think they need to refresh the menu!
I stayed overnight on April 10, 2021. The hotel is clean and staff is very professional and cordial. I asked for Advil late in the evening and the front desk person brought it up to my room. Very kind of him, please compliment him on his service and professionalism. Definitely recommend this hotel to my family, friends and work colleagues.
I paid $295 with tax for a double queen room for 1 night, I expected with that price there would be a decent indoor pool. Instead, there was a pool with paint chips ALL around the outside AND inside of the pool. It felt VERY unsafe for our 4 yo. I was very disappointed.
Worst experience! Don’t stay in this hotel if you need a toilet! The water was dripping from the ceiling to our toilet. Had to use the public toilet during the stay. We told them the first night we stayed, they said it’s becaz the water splashed from upstairs and this won’t happen again. The next morning it happened again! They knew this issue so they shouldn’t make people stay in the room! We didn’t bother moving to another room caz we only had one more night and we have all baby’s stuff out already. Complained in the survey but no response. Very disappointed at IHG!
Very clean and nice. The bed is really comfortable and the customer service is awesome. Amanda at the front desk was super helpful. She is very patient and has great customer service skills. She gave us an access to the pool when the cancellation came in because of limited access during the covid 19. I highly recommend this place!
Very clean and comfortable place. The room was very spacious and had everything working unlike many places. If you’re looking for a space to relax and be private, this is the right place for that; in addition to the welcoming jacuzzi. However, with all being said, one of the receptionist, I think, by the name of lynnette, she was very unpleasant and unwelcoming. If it was up to me I wouldn’t have a person like that working at my business as a receptionist. Nonetheless, this place was quite lovely.
Stayed as part of a team from the Air Force Academy, and all 15 rooms were over charged roughly $80. We were sent updated receipts with the agreed upon room rate, but our government credit cards were never updated/refunded. The rooms were fairly dark and dingy. My window curtain had a large tear through the middle, and 2 lights did not work. I was surprised that there was no mask enforcement in this hotel either, most were not wearing masks.
In general, this hotel offers a centralized place to stay with a very welcoming staff. The room was very spacious, and the bed was extremely comfortable, which allowed for a great nights sleep. My only complaint was that the breakfast was extremely undesirable. I was glad I had brought food of my own because the options were tasteless and unappetizing. The breakfast staff was wonderful, and there were many school groups there so they were very busy. Im not typically a complainer, but I feel for what I paid the breakfast shouldve been much better and more appetizing.
Very clean. Definitely an older site with some typical maintenance upkeep needs. It is quiet and a great jump off point for West Point and Camp Smith. The breakfast consisted of nearly all the usual items Including the cinnamon rolls but not the pancake machine. I would stay here again. Great price for proximity to Westchester county. They are starting to renovate the rooms one by one. The pool was closed for my recent stay 2/28-3/4.
This hotel was very clean, the staff was wonderful, the breakfast options were vast and the food was hot and delicious. We had a little problem at check-in, the room they gave us the key to was dirty. I went back to the front desk and quickly was given a new room assignment and all was well. The lobby was very inviting. We had some friends stop by and we were able to visit for a short time with them.
Being an essential worker, I needed to get away for a little while and thought a weekend stay using my Chase anniversary free night within the state would be a great idea. My expectations werent that high because I understand the current situation. The check in was smooth, the room was okay but it had a bit of a funky smell to it. They lost power the next day and didnt get the elevator to work fast enough and that was terrible for me since I suffer with hip issues.. Breakfast is mediocre to put it nicely. Again, I understand the situation with the pandemic but the hotel is in a bit of a remote location so they could have at least offered hot breakfast even if it meant charging for it, at least give us options. The worst is they charged my card for the stay without having me view charges or sign any paperwork which was my experience from all previous IHG hotels Ive stayed at. This was supposed to be a Chase anniversary free night, if anything I expect a tax charge but not a full night charge. Ive reached out to the hotel and spoke to a staff named Stephanie and another lady. Stephanie did admit it was an error on the hotels part when she checked my confirmation number and she said I should get the refund back in my account within a few days. There is still no email on their part and they have not refunded the erroneous charge. So all in all this hotel experience was not pleasant. I would hope this is not the current IHG standard in general. I dont think the pandemic should be an excuse for disappointing loyal patrons.
The hotel in Ft. Montgomery charged a high price given the poor condition of their hotel. Our room had a leak in the bathroom ceiling. Our room was unclean and smelled of mildew. The water throughout the hotel was brown due to some issue with the town water. When we mentioned the issue to the staff on duty they seemed to be inconvenienced by the issue. The next morning that hotel did not serve coffee because the water was not potable; yet they did not inform guests of the water quality issues.
Seems a little outdated compared to the peekskill location. Bathroom was okay. Couldn’t figure out how to use the shower for a while. Very spacious room though. Wish the light controls were all by the door. I had to go into the dark room to turn on the rest of the lights. Breakfast was great.
I love the location and the lobby is nice. I am an IHG Ambassador Spire level, upon check in this was not recognized at all. I pay extra for this program so I was disappointed. Although there in points they didn’t attempt to upgrade, which is part of the Ambassador program but it is their discretion if using points so I did not make an issue, although they had availability by the looks of it. The room was dirty, there was a large stain on the carpet in front of the refrigerator, and when I opened the frig the spill was still there and never cleaned up. The rug in general looked dirty and it needed a painting. In fact the entire building can use undating. The lobby was decent and the breakfast was ok.
We stayed here after a wedding and when we got into bed at the end of the night, the bedsheets, comforter, and pillows were damp. Another friend was staying in a different room and she said her bed felt the same. We were exhausted and decided to just push thru and try to sleep - but it was impossible. We checked out first thing in the morning.
I would stay here any and every visit I make back to my home town of Highland Falls. I’d recommend this property to anyone the stay, comfort, staff, cleanliness, and security was great! I only had one concern after along drive we were looking to check in early especially after calling and requesting early check in and being told it wouldn’t be a problem just to find out at arrival it was a problem! Other than that it was excellent!!
I was traveling with my family for a wedding. I paid for 3 rooms. Upon check in the staff was not helpful. The person who checked me in would not accept my husbands Holiday Inn rewards card so he could earn points. The reason for this was she didnt want to reprint paperwork. My husband travels often on government orders and he was very disappointed. He has stayed in other Holiday Inn Express and said this hotel did not meet his expectations. Since we were staying for a wedding we asked about a shuttle that was being provided by the wedding party. She replied she knows nothing about it. Thats reasonable, but she could have offered to try to help us. The common areas of the hotel are modern, clean and comfortable. I was very disappointed when I opened the door to my room. It needs to be remodeled. Walls and furniture are damaged. The bathroom is very dimly lit. I was getting ready to attend a wedding reception and couldnt properly do my hair and makeup. The bathroom need to be remodeled. Its old and worn. The bed is uncomfortable, pillows are uncomfortable, and the bedding feels cheap. I could hear noise from the hallway all night. The heating unit worked fine but it ran on and off all night which woke me up (it was on a low setting). The room was clean. We enjoyed breakfast before leaving. The woman who prepared the food was very nice. She got us everything we needed. There were no open tables to sit and eat so she made sure to find us a comfortable place to eat our food. Overall if the rooms were half of the price I paid I wouldnt complain. I have stayed in many hotel rooms at a high price point and I was so disappointed. I kept saying to my husband I cant believe they are charging us this much.
Overall, the stay was great. The beds and room were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with a good variety of choices. The pancake machine was cool! The only needed improvement would be renovating the bathrooms some to fix some sagging wall paper that goes around the top of the shower area and replace the hair dryer that had a faulty nightlight built into it.
I had a special situation, and the team was very flexible in accomodating my needs. Everyone was so friendly and I didnt have one negative encounter during my stay. That makes a big difference, especially considering the stress associated with traveling in these unusual times. Thank you for making my stay easy and uneventful!
Extra long drive, huge delays, a GPS that didnt want to cooperate. UNTIL!!!I called the hotel directly and Stephani helped me find out where I was. Thank goodness she knew the landmarks I was near.100% a SAVIOR. She knew my room preferences and thats a rare thing to hear. She was funny, professional and accommodating. The BEST is my book. Customer Service at its VERY best. Many many thanks to Stephani.
I stay at Holiday inn express often and have found all properties to be in really good shape , this is the first one I encountered that wasn’t. The finish in the restroom door was peeling and bare, which makes the surface porous and uncleanable. The door stopper and bent had visible rust and the restroom was dated ( appeared to not have been renovated in many years). The room was extremely spacious but again the furniture was chipped and the wood below was exposed . The nightstand had some sort of white stain on the side that I dared not touch. In these times, this isn’t what you want to see. I recently stayed at another chain
We wanted a place to stay after our stop in Carmel, NY and close to West Point. What a gem we found at this hotel! We all enjoyed it and wished we could have spent another night, but we had our trip planned out and couldnt change it. The beds were so comfortable, the room exceptionally clean, the bathroom was very clean, too. The morning breakfast offered many choices from eggs, omelettes, pancakes and everything you can think of! We were welcomed upon our arrival and upon leaving we were wished well on our travels. We hope to return for a longer stay!
The man donie tried his hardest to make my stay good! But it was very hard for him since the place was very under staffed! I was put in 3 different rooms because of batteries being dead to the door I couldnt get in the first room.... Then the 2nd rooms AC didnt work... N then the 3rd room it just wasnt what I expected! I ended up checking out an hour half later! I decided at 9pm to just make the hour drive back home! When I went to hand the keys in! Donie was very apologetic about my feelings and insisted I wouldnt be charged for the room! I really appreciate that! Because I work very hard for my money! N I felt like I threw away 155.58 out the window!
I was staying at the Fort Montgomery, NY, HolidayInn Express to have a small reunion of Army friendsand family. From the moment you pulled up at theHotel, a sense of ease came over me as the areaappeared to be very clean and modern. Inside theHotel, I found the Staff to be very professional, friendlyand helpful. The room I stayed in was very, very cleanand modern. Everything worked fine. You had a smallFrig and micro wave in the room along with everythingyoud need for a nice stay. Bed and pillows were verycomfortable. The breakfast area was very clean, wellstocked and a nice variety of food. Extremely happywith the stay.
We were greeted by a friendly efficient front staff member and were promptly registered, recognized as a priority club member and given a welcome bag with items we needed. The room was clean, smelled clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Pillows are a problem for us and so we bring our own. You cant possibly provide pillows to suit everyone and our pillows are expensive. The lighting was excellent and the electrical outlets convenient. Coffee was supplied in the room and was of good quality. This Holiday Inn did everything right. I will stay there again and will recommend it to my friends and family.
Easy access to everything. Very clean, fresh , bright! Rooms clean, looks new, AC worked wonderful, Beds so comfortable. It was a very busy weekend and the hotel was FULL, so the staff was very busy. Have to say everyone was helpful and very friendly, from the front desk, breakfast buffet staff, to house keeping. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone...My parents got a Handicap room and it was more then we expected. The shower area was huge for a wheel chair to roll in to the king size bed...
Was a spacious room with great amenities. Clean and was able to get a great night sleep. Breakfast choices could of been better. Only had hot sausage, egg and cheese biscuits, cereal and oatmeal ,coffee and tea and juice. Hot sandwiches could of had different varieties.
I stayed at this property for my birthday getaway. Check-in, Check-out was smoothly done and the staff were professional and courteous. The room was clean and spacious. I loved the Jacuzzi tab and very comfortable bed. I was able to relax so much with this stay. It was convenient location for visiting the Bear Mountain State Park, farmers market, Local Winery, etc. I would stay this property again when I come around the area.
Everything about this property was nice. It is well-maintained, the staff is accommodating and friendly, and its very clean. The only issue we had was that our two rooms were extremely humid. The air conditioning was working and the temperature was cool but the humidity was extreme and uncomfortable. In the hotels defense, I did not bring it to the attention of the front desk because we were dealing with a death in the family and we didnt remember until we returned to the rooms. By then, we were too tired to deal with anything.I would highly recommend this hotel - but only if the humidity level is brought under control.
The hotel is clean and provides a great hospitality, perfect location just by the road for easy accessibility. The hotel provided me with what I needed for my stay good room, great breakfast, peaceful night...I’ll not hesitate to recommend this hotel to others people. Thank you
The staff at the property was professional, courteous, and friendly. They did a wonderful job, but the bathroom quality could be much better. I stayed in a suite with a jetted tub but you could tell it was very old. It was stained and the caulk was dry and cracking. They should consider removing those tubs and just building a quality shower. The air conditioning in the bedroom area did not work, but the living room unit worked, so we made it through. I would use again because it is close to the project I am working at the Military Academy which is about 10 minutes away.
This is not the best nor was it the worst experience Ive ever had at an IHG property. Ive stayed in 100s of them and this was one was roughly half way down the list. What bothered me the most was the condition of the shower area. The ceiling was curling off in chunks. The painted wall above the shower stall was nasty. The bed and pillows were quite comfy and the room was quiet. The standard shampoo was very good. As with all HI Expresss, the breakfast buffet, although very clean and tidy, is so-so at best. The eggs usually need some help to be edible and the bacon needs to be crisped longer. Staff was friendly and professional. I would stay there again but have slightly lower expectations.
First arrival its a little dark, but enter front doors to nice front desk help to dining area with great breakfast staff! Went to the room on our key card envelope on third floor, only to find out that was not correct. Back to front desk. Room was actually on 2nd floor, no biggie just letting it known. Once in room, its your standard hotel room, nothing fancy, but nice to have almost all the extra amenities, microwave, fridge, hairdryer, coffee maker and hairdryer to name a few. The bathroom at first glance, appeared to be clean, however...there were several long hairs all over the floor, sorry but hair grosses me out. Beds were comfy with 4 pillows but sheets were so wrinkled we couldnt tell if someone had already slept in it or not. Breakfast had a nice choice of foods, but if you want bacon, youre out of luck, 2 kinds of sausage. Overall it was a nice stay.
We stayed here for one night on a quick family trip. The studio suite was great for the 5 of us (two adults and 3 kids ages 8, 6, and 2).The pool was nice, the kids enjoyed it. I wish we could have had snack or dinner by the pool but there was a no food policy and no tables anyway. There is not much around here in terms of food/restaurants but the front desk was helpful and the BBQ place next door was really good.
My mother and I stayed at this hotel during a shopping trip to Woodbury Common Outlets. We arrived very late at night and hungry. I cannot say enough great things about the employee who greeted us whose name was Mary. She helped us find a place to eat and even called around to see who was taking orders for delivery. As we were getting comfortable in our rooms she even brought us complimentary snacks as she knew our delivery wait was a long time. She truly went above and beyond! As for the rooms, they were very nice and clean, better than we had expected. The continental breakfast was also tasty and had decent variety. We would definitely stay again!
The service, room, and property were excellent. We were visiting my sister in West Point, and this hotel was so convenient. The bed was comfy and the room was clean. The service was really outstanding. We were provided with welcome bags for being IHG reward members which came with bottled waters and peanut trail mix. When we came in after 1AM, we were provided with a 1PM check out time because the next day was New Years Day. We were leaving the hotel, and the woman at the front desk heard our three year old say she wanted breakfast, and when we told her that we missed breakfast, she put together yogurt, fruit, and milk for her.We would definitely stay there again, and highly recommend this property.
We traveled a long distance so our son could attend SLE at West Point, so when we arrived, we were tired. We were pleased with our stay. The staff was professional and friendly and the amenities were as described. Room was clean and comfortable. Shower had nice water pressure in the large bathroom. The Great Room where we ate breakfast was clean and the food was abundant and tasty. The staff was extremely attentive. They were constantly checking and replenishing the food.
I only ended up here because I couldn’t get onto the West Point Campus to stay there. The receptionist at that hotel did a hard sell and all of a sudden I had a reservation at this hotel. AND a five minute transfer to someone who wanted to sell me a vacation package, which was annoying. The room was comfortable and well apportioned, but pretty expensive. When I asked the night receptionist about the satellite issue keeping me from watching TV, she seemed put out and ineffectual. The morning receptionist was helpful. I forgot some items in the refrigerator, and he helped me locate them and gave me a few apples for the road. The elevator was broken, so I was on the bottom floor. Not my usual preference in a hotel. Again, this was an expensive stay for me, considering that.
I booked an overnight stay and it was not a good experience from the beginning. When we arrived we were told that the electric had been out most of the morning and it just came back on therefore the rooms were not ready. (I was surprised to hear that a big corporate hotel had no generator on premise.)We were going to a wedding so we quickly changed and left returning back after midnight. After parking our car in a convenient location along the side of the building near our room, we couldnt use the room key to gain access as the card reader didnt work so we had to walk to the front entrance to enter . It was already late when we went to bed only to find the mattress felt cheap and worn. I could feel some of the springs as I sank down into it. The pillows were also flat and cheap. The worst was the sound of the passing trains which passed every half hour blaring its horn. That was never mentioned. At checkout, I expressed my concerns to the desk clerk and she was kind enough to pass it on to her manager. Although a small credit was issued for our experience, they had an obligation to advise their guests of the noisy train that passes near them but not a word was mentioned. Not by the person taking the reservation or any information online.

2022-05-19We are currently staying here to attend the West Point graduation. Our group has seven rooms. The hotel is in a great location for West Point events. The hotel is undergoing a major renovation, but they are doing it in stages to reduce interruptions to guests. The hotel is well managed with friendly and efficient employees. The front desk manager is very friendly and welcoming. The hotel put out a welcome spread of food on a decorated for a few days in honor of the upcoming graduation. The hotel has plenty of parking and there are a few restaurants near by. I recommend this place for anyone needing a clean and convenient place near West Point.

2022-05-28Rooms were good. All of the ladies who work the front desk are extremely nice, polite, and welcoming. The breakfast every morning was great. The lady who prepares and sets up breakfast and the gentleman who helps her are hard working and patient and they both do a great job.

2022-03-29Traveling for work there’s nothing better than a good bed to sleep in. These beds feel like a pillow. It’s a good sleep almost like home. Staff are nice and personable folks. I highly recommend

2022-01-25We stayed to attend a gymnastics meet at West Point. I booked a King Suite, and it was of decent size. Beds and pillows are very good. Room needs repair (broken light switch on left master bed reading lamp) and updates (no USB ports for electronics!).

2022-04-08Duty manager was extremely rude and spoiled the whole impression and experience at the hotel. When I asked to escalate it to her manager or supervisor she refused and laughed at my face by saying that she was the manager of the hotel. At the lobby she was shouting and fighting with me without listening. She kept repeating she was a manager and everything is addressed only to her and she was not going to proceed with my request. All other staff were friendly and nice and facilities are good as well. However, this particular person destroyed the whole experience and I would neither be willing to come back here ever again nor recommend it to anyone.

2021-12-14Nice hotel, clean and convient location. The rooms are a little dated and could use a refresh. Everything worked in the room but the room itself was showing its age.The buffet breakfast was very good, I enjoy a hotel that offers breakfast, it really speeds up getting a start on the day.

2021-11-09I slept very well each night. Hotel needs a remodel but not necessarily outdated. Just noticed they were having issues with water damage and a few things were wore out. TV lost signal often and not all of the channels worked. There was a sign that indicated they were looking to remodel but I didn’t note a timeframe. Breakfast was pretty good and a good variety, not to mention they took extra care for food safety. The staff was helpful and friendly. The price seemed a bit high but not sure if that is because of the recovery from COVID aspect or from the area. I would stay there again, due to what I saw from the other options. May go there or try a B

2021-11-15I booked two rooms to attend the funeral of my younger brother who died from ALS. My son was right across the hall from me. The rooms were clean and quiet. Relaxing. Other family members stayed there which came in great with the use of their dining hall. The beds? Forgetaboutit!
