The good:Cleaner than expected carpets. Quiet. Honored my floor preferences. Location was convenient for purpose of visit. They were able to break a $20. A big deal when you want to leave a tip to housekeeping.Lots of utensils, etc , to make in room dining more civilized. Much appreciated. The area to work on:Better water pressure would be nice.Plenty of snacks for sale but no water????
We stayed overnight here while picking up our daughter from SUNY Canton. We got to the hotel after 10 pm and left the hotel 8:30 am, so our main purpose was sleeping and breakfast. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room was large and modern. The breakfast was okay (scrambled eggs, sausage, today, bagels, muffins, some cereals, some fruit, coffee, tea, hit chocolate, and a few choices of juice).
Positive: Everything was great. Exceeded my expectations. Lots of little details in the room that were nice such as darkening shades. Negative: There was nothing wrong but there were a few things that seemed like they could have been a little more buttoned up but it was only cosmetic. Some scratches on the walls. Everything really was great!!
I was dropping my son off to college and staying overnight. When I arrived in my room there were food crumbs on the counter next to the TV. I aways pull back the quilt as soon as I walk into a hotel room. I found the sheets had clearly been laid upon and someone just took quilt and pulled them back over the sheets. I went into the bathroom to take a shower and found hair in the bathtub, hair all over the floor in the corners where the floor meets the tub and droppings of some kind of brown liquid on the little shelf behind the bathroom faucet. As I left for dinner that night I stopped by the front desk and spoke to Frank who apologized and offered me a 15% discount. I said I wanted Kerry Claus, the manager of the hotel to contact me. I then changed my mind and said I would call him. The next day when I arrived home I called and spoke to Ann. She was aware of my complaint and said I could have asked for another room. I explained I did not do that as I was told they were booked solid (as were all the other hotels and inns in the area due to return in college students). Perhaps the lack of cleanliness is why a room was available. After I got off the phone I realized Frank should have offered another room and he did not. I also requested the Hotel Manager, Kerry Claus call me on Friday. Ann agreed and said he would be in and she would have him call me directly. He has never called - perhaps he will after this review. What I neglected to mention earlier is that I called in earlier in the day and asked for an early check in before 3 PM. Ann indicated they only have two housekeepers cleaning the rooms and if she could get my room cleaned earlier she would call me back. She never calledback and I checked in at 5 PM. Obviously I figured she could not get a room cleaned earlier than 3 PM. I told Ann to walk into a room that was this filthy, I would have preferred she called me back and tell me she could not have me check in until 6 or 7 PM if it meant getting a clean room. At check out I had a tall bald white man behind the front desk asked me how my visit was. I was very straightforward and indicated that I would call the Manager when I arrived home. Clearly he was not bothered by anything I said and rather quite aloof. Clearly hotel/restaurant/customer service work is his forte. I am very sorry I didn’t think to take pictures!
Overall experience was poor - staff was not professional or helpful - would be nice for them to dress appropriately so they can be identified as an employee. Offended that I was entitled to get my room cleaned - isnt that one of the purposes of staying at a hotel - that they clean the room for you - but when I did ask (I skipped requesting it after our first evening) they didnt do it and claimed they assumed the request was for the next day - despite that being the day we were checking out. Breakfast was a disappointment based on previous Holiday Inn Express visits as well
Everything was great from the time me and my kids walked in to the tome we had left the next day. The staff was more then helpful at all times from start to finish. our rooms where very clean and comfortable from when you walked into the room it smelt nice and fresh everything was clean
Nice place. Staff was curteous, facility is nice and clean. The walls are pretty thin; I was constantly hearing water running through pipes as it was used in other rooms. However, I think thats a problem with most places these days so I cant ding them too hard for that.
We stayed overnight here while picking up our daughter from SUNY Canton. We got to the hotel after 10 pm and left the hotel 8:30 am, so our main purpose was sleeping and breakfast. We stayed at Holiday Inn over the other one in town because we have always had great experiences with them. Not this time. Rooms are loud, we could hear our neighbors talking and their TV. The rooms must of had a cheap remodel. The bathroom fans did not work. I wiped down all surfaces with Clorox wipes upon arrival. Nightstand, table, dresser, microwave, fridge, bathroom counters etc. all were dirty. When I checked the bedding you could see dirt/hair. Glad we brought our own bedding from home. I would expect the rooms to be half the price with the quality of the hotel. Next time we will try the competitors. This is a college town and we are parents coming to visit our college student for the weekend. Very disappointed.
Stayed there once when it had recently opened and they didnt have room we supposed to get so gave us handcaped room.shower was set up for wheelchair so bathroom floor took alot of towels.it was was really nice and staff really friendly otherwise...Also walking distance to burger king, Chinese, grocery store and dollar general.
I stayed two nights at the Holiday Inn Express-Potsdam while on business. It was not very busy the week I was there(2 weeks before Christmas). The front desk staff was professional and friendly, and check in only took a couple of minutes. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. I had two good nights’ sleep as I could not hear anything outside the room. I would definitely stay there again when on business.
Front desk personnel went out of his way to accommodate last minute requests without hesitation and with a smile. I traveled to the area to visit my son at college, without even asking the front staff asked if we had any questions regarding restaurants, shopping etc. in the area which was great since this was the first time staying in town. Hotel was very clean, quiet and modern, I would highly recommend this hotel!
Staff were very nice, room was new, and take out breakfast was tasty. But if you stay here, avoid the rooms close to the elevator and the rooms with a connecting door to another room. The elevator bangs and dings, the space around the elevator opens into the lobby, and the connecting door to the next room allowed our neighbors to keep us awake talking and singing.
Room fridge had items left inside from previous guests. At a time such as this, COVID, and hotels are doing extra to promise they are clean, and then clearly are not, makes us wonder. Rest of room was fine, but while sleeping we were often awakened by slamming doors. Even if people didn’t mean to slam their doors, the doors close loudly and bang shut every time someone goes in or out. For the price, I would’ve expected better quality.
I booked a reservation online only to find out at check-in that the pool was out of service. I have 4 young children and this was a deal-breaker for us. This information should have been available online. I canceled the reservation at check-in, but was denied a refund because I canceled my reservation too late. Real nice. Thanks for being misleading and then being dishonorable. Wasted time, money, and had 4 upset kids. It’s very disappointing that terms and conditions (which I fully understand the need for) are more important than doing right by people.
The location had plenty of parking and the parking lot was well lit. The lobby was bright and roomy and the main desk personnel were very friendly and professional. The halls were also well lit and clean. The room appeared to be a recent remodel and was warm and clean. My only complaint is that the bath remodel missed the boat. The water closet is in a very tight space with the bath tissue holders in a very awkward place.
I appreciated how well the staff is handling this difficult time. The hotel took safety precautions very seriously. The stay was obviously different than stays pre-COVID, but the staff did everything they could to make it a pleasant stay. I appreciated the bagged breakfast since the open breakfast cant be accommodated during these times.
I just took employment at a local university and this was only 15 minutes away from campus. It seemed to have only a few reservations compared to the size of the hotel. The parking lot was always vacant. It was quiet and I was able to relax, but the food was less than subpar.
The rooms were good. They were clean and updated. There wasn’t much to watch on TV and nothing to order or connect to. Especially since there isn’t much to do in the area in the evening. Parking lot was a disaster, but it was under construction. Fitness area was ok, couldn’t get the channels to change on the treadmill. Breakfast was pretty good compared to other complimentary breakfasts. Overall I would recommend this hotel. I am sure with a few tweaks and the parking lot finished it will be much nicer.
This is a great hotel with leadership and staff that genuinely care about your experience. They go out of their way to prove that they are providing a safe and sanitary experience. Also when other HIE properties are giving you a brown bag for breakfast this property actually created a “continental menu”. Each guest chooses a few items from the menu, and they have your “personalized breakfast” ready for you in the morning, in a very nice (not brown) high quality bag. This was a nice touch that really made me feel important. I am still paying full price - I should expect some sort of effort for a quality breakfast. Well done HIE Canton!!!
The hotel looks very nice from the outside and the interior was clean but the pool and weight room were closed with no explanation except for maintenance. With NOTHING to do in the Canton area (downtown run down and very few shops open), some form of entertainment would have been nice.
I liked the large size of the rooms and the modern style of decorating. The beds were comfortable. I was very disappointed though that the pool was not in service since that was one of the reasons that I chose this hotel. There were a lot of kids staying in the town that weekend for a sports tournament and they were looking forward to pool time.
Breakfast was grab and go but that was because of the risk of covid. With that, however, it would have been helpful to have more than just one k-cup of coffee in the room, especially with three in our group. Thats not their policy is what we were told. Otherwise, it was a very comfortable stay.
Everything was great. My only complaint was no vending machines to get a snack or drink and the grab and go breakfast. It would have been much better If you could at least toast your bagel in the grab and go breakfast. Also the coffee sign at front desk needed to be bigger. My husband never saw it so drove to store to get hot coffee. Other than that it was great. Will definatley stay there again.
In town for parents weekend at St Lawrence University - Not many options. Hotel recently remodeled and they did a nice job. Room was super clean and up to date as was the entire property. I was pretty disappointed to find out the pool was closed after checking in - part of the renovation? The main problem with our stay arose with location of room - next to elevator -- incredibly noisy - beyond unacceptable but figured this out too late; It sounded like there was a vacuum/suction tunnel noise within the room each time the elevator was activated which was frequently and early. Hotel is very clean and the staff on all levels was nice. Just dont stay near the elevator and hopefully, the pool area will be operating.
Staff didn’t restock towels or toiletries. The fridge in the room had no control of the coldness. It froze everything we put in the fridge. They charged our account $25. The pool and hot tub was being renovated. We stayed two nights and use points for one of those nights didn’t check out and had a big hassle about it. I’ll never stay there again.
We stayed at this hotel last year before it was bought out by Holiday Inn. There have been a lot of changes made since then. Visually the hotel and rooms look much better. Unfortunately, there are still some problems to iron out. The pool is not open yet. We had an issue with our air conditioner literally soaking the floor overnight and had to change rooms which apparently also soaked the ceiling of the room below ours. The staff handled it well and immediately gave us a different room, but some sort of compensation (discount, etc) for our trouble would have been nice. Staff were excellent. With only two hotels in Canton there arent a lot of choices. Looking forward to continued improvements.
I spend three nights at the Holiday Inn Express in Canton and couldnt be more pleased with my stay. The staff was absolute excellent and very accommodating to every request that I had. The hotel was recently remodeled and it has a fresh look and feel. Nothing is cluttered, the beds are extremely comfortable, breakfast offered an array of choices. My internet service was outstanding. Do yourself a favor, try this hotel. You will be pleased!
We were glad to discover there is a HIE where we go to business functions fairly often. It is being remodeled from a different ownership, and there is a massive amount of construction going on throughout. It really isnt fair to judge this facility until the remodeling is complete. The staff are the best! helpful, friendly, and effective. Our room was clean and comfortable, QUIET and very pleasant, with an alarm clock WE could easily set. HOWEVER, the mattress pads were HOT, apparently polyester, we cant tolerate polyester bedding. The shower was only lukewarm water, probably because of the construction. The other end of our 2nd floor corridor was completely barricaded off, as was the fitness room and much of the first floor. We were hoping for a USAToday (it was Friday) but there were none so we had to try to channel surf the TV. Breakfast was excellent, good choices and we especially appreciated the real oatmeal, not instant!
Weve stayed here many times over the years. Its been recently renovated and it shows. Its really changed for the better the past couple years. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are modern, clean and spacious and the rates are not too bad either. Well definitely be staying here often as we visit the area again in the future.
I fully understand the mask policy that IHG has in place. But for a staff member to yell loudly at me from half way down the hallway to wear a mask was inappropriate to me. I was not near a single person as I walked from the stairwell to my room. If other people were present I would have better understood the reaction she gave me. Meanwhile every evening they had cookies and a dispenser of lemon water out in the open in the lobby.
Rooms were spacious and clean for the most part. Were turned off early with urine stains on the bathroom seat when we arrived. Also had one of the four rooms right next to the noisiest elevators ever. Made sleeping very tough. Did not ask for compensation but were not offered any either for the bathroom and elevator issues. Also didn’t know pool was under construction when we registered.
My first room was dirty and had to moved to another room, which staff was great regarding this. Beds were too hard for me. There was a lot of construction going on and when I booked my room I was never informed either way if the pool was available or not. When driving on the outside it looked like they were doing some construction to it so that was disappointing. The water temperature for the shower was luke warm set at the highest I could set it. Breakfast was good the next morning. Checking out there was a problem with the front door not opening.
Room was clean, hotel was clean. Front desk attendants were prompt and helpful and made me feel welcome. They assisted with dinner options. I thought the bed and bedding was comfortable however my mother said the bed was hard and couldn’t sleep (hence the 4 start instead of 5).
Upon arrival. Our group was told the elevators and pool were out of service. Pool door was covered with pieces of paper but you were able to see the pool was not drained and no service was being done. All elevators out of service on a weekend? This seemed to be suspicious to our group. Coincidence of both being out of service?? I feel this should have been told prior to arrival. Also, the air in my room was not working. Tough sleeping. I spoke with the front desk and was told the manager was unreachable until the following Wednesday. I was offered 1000 HIG points but was unable to give any monetary discount due to already receiving a group rate.
Top notch. Great staff and room. Good location, within minutes of downtown and the two local colleges. Only 30 minutes from Canada and other favorite locations in the North Country. The room was very cozy and everything you need is right there. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices to chose from. Will definitely stay there again.
This was my first stay since they became Holiday Inn Express. I was amazed at the makeover of the hotel, from top to bottom everything looked fresh and clean. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I was so surprised when we got to our room, how spacious and modern it was. The bed was so comfy and with FULL SIZE PILLOWS. That made my day!
Overall the hotel was updated very nicely. I had stayed here in the past and it very old and outdated. Everything was brand new and very clean. The price was also 30.00 less than the other hotel nearby. I was disappointed the pool wasnt open they were waiting for a final inspection from the state. There wasnt any outdoor furniture to sit on, my keys had to be reprogrammed multiple times and the roll of toilet paper constantly fell off the dispenser.
We have stayed here before a couple of years ago a few times. Holiday inn Express has made quite a few upgrades. We did peek in the exercise room and noticed that there is more equipment. Unfortunately the pool was closed. However they did have a guest Laundry room which was free. Will stay again. Staff was friendly.
Where to start? Approaching hotel on a rainy night, there are few lights on in front, making us think it was closed, and the parking lot looked like it had been bombed. Would have been nice to get a warning about that construction on the website when we made the reservation. Our room had apparently only recently been opened for use, so the water in the shower was set to tepid. So no hot water for a shower. Asked about it at the front desk, were told maintenance would go up right away and fix it. This was around 10 a.m. Maintenance did fix it. We know this because they left a greasy handprint on the side of the tub, and tracked dirt around the bathroom floor. Which never got cleaned up, because no maid service came to our room that day, despite the fact we were out all day. Since we were in town for my mothers funeral, it was not relaxing or fun or welcoming to come back to a room dirtier than when we left, with no clean towels.Hot water and tea bags not EVER stocked during breakfast. Not that we could get near the breakfast room. Two different teams were there each morning, and apparently they were the only ones who got to eat. When they left, there was barely anything left and nothing was replenished, despite it being well before the end of the scheduled breakfast time. It was an inhospitable Holiday Inn. Didnt feel welcome, didnt feel respected, didnt feel like anyone cared if they had our business or not. With a new property opening about a block away, I cant imagine anyone will continue to come here, if such little regard is going to be paid to customers. This is certainly well below the standard of what Ive come to expect as a long-time Holiday Inn customer.
I stayed overnight while my son was visiting nearby colleges. The location was great for this purpose. I chose this hotel because Ive had good experiences with Holiday Inn Express hotels and it was less expensive than the other options. It was a great choice. It was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. I have to imagine it was nicer than the more expensive options. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Got us in last min , and were great the room was Beautiful breakfast was delicious and the staff were amazing also . Pool and hot tub were great along with the free washer and dryer they have for guests to use and the gym isnt bas either . Will certainly be staying again. Even if i do live a town over
Sorry to be one of few poor reviews but this is an image of the SECOND room I was placed in after noticing used body soap still in the shower of the first room, stains on the inner bed sheets and a dirty toilet seat along with strange sticky stuff on the desk chair. The second room, I was able to WIPE a large mass of unknown, dried stuff from the behind of the toilet bowl. I frequent hotels for work and this is the first time in 8 whole months I’ve seen two poorly cleaned rooms. Some may say it isn’t a big deal but I’m not tryna have my grandmother sit on someone else’s dried urine and get covid-19 from touching a TV remote. Stage safe, yall
We only had one night to stay in Canton as we were dropping off our son at St. Lawrence University. Next visit we will stay 2 nights; the location was perfect and because it is not a huge hotel the accommodations were perfect, simple, extremely clean and adequate. Next visit we will take advantage of the pool and fitness area.
Potsdam was all booked up due to a reunion weekend and Im glad I found this nearby hotel. The bed was incredible and everything was spotlessly clean. The choice of power sockets, including international in the desk lamp was unexpected. Its not a fancy hotel at a resort but it fit the bill perfectly.
I am a cancer patient I came to register my daughter for college and my bed was made with the same dirty sheets, pillows cases and comforter which the color was white.I purposely place on the floor with damp towers to ensure that I would receive clean linings. my daughter bed still had pizza crumbs still on it . My bathroom toilet still had feces stains in it. When I brought my concern to the front desk I was told that I would be given points because of my room phone did not work and the dirty bed linings . I was given clean sheets, pillow cases and comforter .. but I had to make my own bed which was disappointing.and exhausting. My daughter had shake the crumbs off her bed.. I was not able to afford another hotel room and I would have left this hotel if I could. I never received points for the dirty toliet and me having to make my own bed.
Bathroom Issues need to be addressed:Sink drain barely opens 1/16 and doesnt drain well.Crud around shower base and floor.Bathroom ceiling paint peeling about 5 linear feet.Bathroom vent fan very very loud, like a freight train is nearby.Poor sleep due to room being directly across from housekeeping door and vacuuming hallway in the early morning. Not what I would expect for anyone, let alone a platinum member.
After a long drive and full day of business I was told the pool and hot tub were not open. Very Disappointing! This should have been noted on the website when I made my reservation. I use aquatic therapy for severe arthritis and the long drive. If I had know the pool was not available I probably would have gone elsewhere in the area.I asked for a 0500 wake up call the night before and it was not made (lucky I woke up on my own). When I checked out the clerk said he was never told of the call request.
While traveling to VT, for a family vacation we stayed at the Holiday Inn Potsdam NY. The Staff was amazing which is why I feel guilty about my negative review but, I talked my wife and 2 boys (Age 9 and 3) into driving for an additional 2 hours with the promise of swimming until the pool closed. We booked online and there was no notice the pool would be closed. Very disappointed when we arrived and I had to explain to my to boys the pool was closed....
Front desk took 25-30 minutes to check me in on points stay. Ridiculous. Did nothing to compensate me for the hassle. Pool not open and not noted on website. Blamed it all on Covid, thats nonsense and just aexcuse for cuting costs while charging full rate for points guest. Pools at other IHG proerties atre open and can be done so safely.
My son picked a flower and I almost had a heart attack. the woman working told him it was the thought that counted and she knew he did it out of love. thanked him for the apology and we all agreed he needs to ask next time. but let me tell you what an amazing response for her to give. most people see us coming with 3 little kids and cringe not this hotel!!! thank you
We were attending an admitted student day at suny Potsdam but couldnt get a hotel in Potsdam. Chose this hotel for its price and location and brand. We had no idea how great a hotel it would turn out to be, especially for the price. Very convenient to get to Potsdam and worth the extra 5 minute drive!! Highly recommend
Get it in writing!!! I booked my room about 2 months in advance. I was told it was $269 in total for 2 nights. I’ve stayed there before for under $100 per night, so I was ok with the price. I trusted they’d send me a confirmation email (like all other vendors), but they didn’t. I confirmed by phone a second time and was told the same. The night I got there (@ about 10:00 pm) they told me it was $269 per night and the person who did my reservation conveniently wasn’t there. I was told they’d make it right. I went online and Clarkson Hotel(a couple of blocks away from my son’s college) had rooms available at $84! And Canton HIG had rooms online at $135, yet they were charging me $269! I was told they’d correct my first night’s fee to $169 and charge me $99 for the 2nd night. Ann even showed me her numbers on paper. I checked out hoping to receive a revised bill by email and a credit on my card. I didn’t! When I called back Kerry, the manager basically called me a liar and told me that if it was not recorded or in writing, the conversation never happened and that he was not responsible for whatever someone else there told me! I called headquarters and waited over 45 minutes on the phone and no live person ever picked up. I ended up disputing the fees through my bank.
Was glad to see renovations completed stated when making reservation, told on arrival pool was still not open. Several fixes were not done, or done well. I hope they make contractors complete (fix) items to Holiday Inn standards.Example: Bathroom door sticks, and room door has gap when closed that you can see the hall carpet pattern.
The one problem (not brought to the attention of management was the heating of the room. the heat would kick on and we would be too hot then kick off and we would be too cold. We thought, perhaps next time if we lower the thermostat it may equalize the disparity in temps.
Not your typical HI-Express. Exterior facade exhibits gaping holes exposing steel beams. Elevator broken. Pool out of service. Toilet was gross. More than DOUBLE the already inflated price on weekends when there are activities at nearby SLU. Pretty disappointing as this is far atypical of my stays at other HI-Express properties....
Disappointed in the HIE experienceThe design tends to make noisy hallways and general areasThis location contacted us the day we where arriving that the one and only elevator was broken and the indoor pool closed. We could not change our plans for problems that had existed for days
Just quickly wanted to mention that you should also consider re striping the parking lot and beautifying the entry with trees and or a rubbery and divide the parking lot so that you enter down the middleIf the building and aonthat a hedge can grow from the Atreet view so as to hide all of the big Ickes our front .-also encourage parking to go out toward the back of the hotel and maybe offer another entrance out there that is easily accessible for guests

2022-05-05The hotel room was nice. The pool was closed but was not a big deal. Quiet space. Staff was nice but was not acknowledged as an IHG rewards member. There was a complimentary laundry room which was nice and breakfast was good. Would definitely stay again.

2022-04-21Positive: Hotel room was very clean . Above average in this regard Negative: Volume on TV did not work on several channels. We reported it, but no one came to investigate problem. Room key wouldnt work. Had to be renewed twice. Inconvenient. Breakfast at 9:30 and food dishes were empty. Not replaced with new hot food.

2022-04-26It doesn’t matter how nice your rooms are, if you don’t have service, the whole experience is ruined. For $175 a night, and a promise of a hot, complimentary breakfast, your manger on duty needs to be trained in problem solving and taking em responsibility. Look forward to a hot breakfast. Manager on duty said, “the worker didn’t come in, it’s out of my control, I don’t know how to use the oven.” Not a problem solver, only an excuse maker.

2022-03-08Clean modern rooms. Comfortable lobby and gathering space. Friendly, helpful staff. Mobile accessible room had good space, plenty of grab bars in the bathroom, but shampoo dispenser oddly placed behind the shower bench

2021-10-13I had a very enjoyable stay. The service was awesome and the room was very comfortable. I had a great night sleep. I will definitely be using this hotel again in the future because my daughter is going to college near the hotel.. I have tried 3 other hotels near this one but I think I like this one the best. The staff were all very nice and friendly. Check out was quick and easy.

2021-09-20We drove in late from Vermont about a 5 hour car ride to Postdam/Canton. We were tired. Check in was quick and easy because I had reserved our room in advanced. The attendant at the Desk seemed knowledgeable. I would only ask that as a Front desk attendant they be trained to give directions to guests room upon their check in as to limit wandering around trying to find their way. We parked and went right up to our room and was able to quickly settle in and fall asslep. Breakfast was a breeze and there was plenty of room, choices and it was kept hot and ready. Coffee was also great. Check out was easy as well. Thank you so much.

2021-10-06I was in a jam - there were no other rooms at my preferred hotels (Im in the hotel industry). But there was one room at the Holiday Inn - and I would choose to stay there over any of the others. My room looked new - bedding and carpets looked new. The bathroom was clean and updated - I was impressed. And thank you Holiday Inn for putting refillable bottles of soap in the shower - enough of the environmental terrorism of little bottles you cant fully squeeze or empty anyway! Now just get rid of the body lotion tiny bottles and youll be perfect.

2021-08-26The hotel was beautifully clean and comfortable. The room was very large and the bathroom was beautifully clean. The showers were equipped with all of the soap products in a dispenser in the shower whichWas so easy to use and convenient. The staff was very helpful and customer service was great. Because of Covid the pool was closed but we have been to many other hotels during Covid and those pools have been open. First day was at 10.
