Holiday Inn Express Syracuse Airport, an IHG Hotel in other cities:
Definitely needs a refreshing. The room lacks USB ports, all the plastic covers have yellowed. The thermostat buttons are so old the plastic has cracked. Floor tiles in the elevator are curling. Its a sad place. Service and staff are wonderful. They deserve better. But, this hotel is very conveniently located near the airport.
Having stayed at a few other Holiday Inn Express (HIE) hotels before, I have to admit I was a little underwhelmed with this location. The driveway entrance to this HIE is shared with the neighboring Candlewood Suites from the main road (South Bay Road). Immediately walking into the lobby, I felt that the hotel was outdated. While all staff members I encountered were very nice and acommodating, the hotel itself definitely needs an upgrade. The single elevator was quite scuffed up and seemed very old, as did the hallways with very weathered/dirty carpet throughout. The rooms were nice enough. Small things like some ripped wallpaper or a stained farbic bench werent too much of an issue given the rest of the room was fine. Temperature control was adequate, shower pressure was fine, TV had a lot of channels available and the rooms had a mini fridge, microwave, iron and ironing board and a keurig machine. The pool seemed clean. The fitness center, although small (one elliptical, one treadmill, free weights) was clean, but missing cups for the water cooler. The continental breakfast was what would expect from a 2.5-3 star hotel: coffee, cereals, bagels, fruit, yogurt and some hot items llike eggs.Again, the staff were great, but the hotel definitely needs some TLC. I would definitely consider other hotels in the area that area similarly priced. I usually stay at the Hampton Inn in Liverpool (about 10 mins away from this HIE) which is lovely but did not have availability at that time.
Had a handicap room ,room 225 which is really not a handicap room. Number one it had a tub. Number two it had a threshold into the bathroom. Number three you couldnt reach the sink from a wheelchair in the bathroom. Number four the dresser the TV is on needs to be moved into the room further to get a big wheelchair in. Number 5 no audio visual fire alarm. Number six you couldnt close the bathroom door while in a wheelchair the bathroom was too small.
We were not greeted as IHG members upon arrival. We asked about leaving our car and getting an airport shuttle. The response received was curt and non-sympathetic to our wishes. We choose this hotel for this purpose, and were very disappointed we could not be accomodated, and turned off by the response from the front desk attendant. We will reconsider staying at this hotel when flying out of Syracuse in the future.
Friendly staff, dirty shower, worn shower curtain, shower valve did not provide full flow of hot water such that i could have a good cold shower or a poor hot shower, worn thermostat controls, AC vibrated loudly with a dislocated cover. Not what I am used to from an HIE.
The room was clean and comfortable, shower had excellent pressure and the staff was wonderful. Affordable and loved the option to leave our car when flying out of Syracuse airport. Called the hotel when our plane landed and by the time our bags arrived the hotel van was waiting for us outside. Thank you for making this part of our trip very easy! Will definitely stay here again the next time we fly out of Syracuse.
I enjoy the location of this hotel as it is close to the destination I needed to go to and there are plenty of gas stations and food options near by. The staff is pleasant enough, not overly polite or anything but fine. My husband and i both found the bed pretty uncomfortable, it was just a little too firm for us. The pool was awesome! The water was warm and clean as was the whole pool area. The vending machines were great, they had many options and I could use my card for sodas which I appreciated. Breakfast wasn’t great overall. They had quite a few options like eggs, sausage, muffins, pastries, that sort of thing but it was wasn’t very tasty. The worst part was definitely the cleanliness of the room. The carpets were absolutely disgusting. If you walked around barefoot your feet would turn black. Having a toddler who needed space to play on the floor was pretty difficult because it was so gross. We also had a problem with the smell. There was a distinct cigarette smell in our room even though the hotel is supposed to be smoke free. Overall I would recommend this place because of the location and the pool but I really hope the next time I stay, the rooms are a lot cleaner.
If you want a reliable hotel to stay in near the airport, this will do. If youre there for a fun hotel stay, pick something else. Theres nothing really wrong with the hotel, but it is a Holiday Inn near the airport. We stayed here the night we came in on a late flight, then went to friends for a few days, and came back here before our early flight in the morning. It worked well for us.The staff was direct and easy to work with. I didnt eat the breakfast spread, but it look pretty good, and the area was quiet, beds solid, etc.
Positive: The closeness to the airport was convenient. Breakfast choices were decent. Most of the staff we encountered were helpful. Negative: We arrived at midnight so it was great the hotel had shuttle service. The gal we spoke with made us walk to the shuttle though at the opposite end of the airport from where we picked up our bags which was inconvenient.
Room smelled like a root cellar. Hotel was unable to evict the loud, drunk, belligerent next-door guest until 3:30 AM, so no sleep that night. Coworkers room had stains everywhere. On the other hand, the staff was very friendly and supportive and gave me another room to try and sleep while waiting for the cops to remove the drunk woman. However, the room still had the air purifier running to remove the smell of weed, a cleaning towel on the floor, and a sign on the door saying Under Repair. But if it was the last room available in the upper floor, then it was still a nice gesture and better than listening to the drunk downstairs.
The service at the front desk checking in was fantastic, I was relieved to be offered a choice of floor to stay on and the person welcoming us was very kind to my twins. The room was clean and comfortable and the shuttle was right on schedule in the morning and got us to the airport in plenty of time for our 6 am flight.
From the minute you walk in the door to a friendly smile and warm cookies, then through the time of taking a swim in the very nice warm pool to a good night of sleep and delicious breakfast to the friendly front desk staff checking you out and the free shuttle taking us to the airport... This hotel is a wonderful experience. I highly recommend it!!
We stayed 2 nights for a baseball tournament. Hotel was clean, friendly staff, quiet location. Breakfast was good, lots of choices. Only complaint was our ice machine on the 3rd floor was always out of ice and the day before we left the elevator went out, so we had to carry all our bags down 2 flights of stairs. I do like the convenience of hotel laundry because we were able to wash all the boys jerseys so they were clean the next day. Would definately stay here again.
The greeting staff was very courteous and pleasant. The room itself was the same as 90% of the hotels/motels Ive stayed at over the years. The desk chair needs to be replaced as the leather was worn off the arm rests. I loved having the microwave in the room as I was able to bring food from home as my hardwood floors were being refinished in the my home. I had access to the kitchen but not the rest of the house). However the bathroom needed work. The toilets are low setting, there was black mold on the ceiling above the bathtub, the bathtub took over a half hour to drain after taking a shower, the bathtub spout has space between it and the wall, the bathroom ceiling fan did not work, and the bathroom door could not be closed completed as the upper corner of the door had swollen. The door key had be reprogramed each day I stayed at the hotel. I picked this hotel after reading the reviews of other hotesl/motels within a ten mile.
I loved the shuttle to the airport and 3 mile radius for restaurants. Free and safe car parking for the week. The room was very loud and the AC was broken and had extreme temp swings. We went to bed at 7:00 pm for an early flight. I was awake from 11:00 pm till we got up at 3:30am. They did put out some breakfast items and coffee, which was great as there were about 7 of us going to the airport. It is an older hotel, without a microwave and fridge. 20,000 points for the Shuttle, parking and location, warrant the points. The staff was great. Room and walls need an upgrade.
We arrived from out of town and due to arriving late, we stayed close to the airport so that we could pick up our rental the next morning. Upon arriving at the hotel, the staff was very friendly and courteous. After arriving into our room though, it was somewhat a different story. Staying at a cheap hotel, we weren’t expecting much. However, the bathroom shower was in far less than expectable condition. The shower curtain had mildew growing, the bathroom floor was gross and stained. The shower wall from the middle of the wall and down had mildew growing. The ceiling and close to it were in need of maintenance. There was hair on the hand rail from some prior tenant. I would not recommend and will not be staying again.
2-star hotel? Maybe. 5-star service? Absolutely. I stayed here because it was close to the airport and yes, the bathrooms (especially the showers) need work. But I could not have been happier with the service and staff. A tip of the hat to the front desk staff who were able to ship some of my belongings back home after finding out I couldnt take them on the plane.
So let me start by saying we only got this hotel to shower and sleep in. When we first got there I took a shower and almost fell getting in theres no grips or anything on the bottom of the tub. The hotel needs severe updating and the carpets in the hallways have black stains everywhere and look gross this hotel needs a major upgrade.there were alot of spots in the bathroom that could have been cleaned better. I will say the beds were comfy and the breakfast really brought the place around but please rip out the carpets and upgrade the hotel it looks so nasty !!! The staff were also all very nice but for 150 for one night and a Thursday I would stay somewhere else for that price next time.
The shuttle took us to Destiny USA as well as the airport. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. My kids enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was well stocked and delicious. The pancake maker was a hit with the kids. It was overall a great stay and we will definitely be back!
We took advantage of the park and fly package due to our late night return flight into Syracuse. The shuttle service was prompt and friendly in both directions. The front desk service was excellent, as was the breakfast. Our room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The overall cost worked well but the value was even better.
Thank you so much for such a wonderful time. We stayed out of town for business training and decided to take the whole family. After staying overnight with you we decided to rebook the second and third time. Housekeeping was so kind in keeping things that we forgot the first time and we were able to stop by and pick up what we forgot. No one ever does that and I really appreciate the kindness of the housekeeper. One of the best experiences we’ve ever had with staff, hotel and service all around. If you need to do anything nearby I’d highly recommend you stay here. You won’t regret it.
I came with a group of teens for a convention and from start to finish we felt valued. The rooms were immaculate and clearly cared for by housekeeping. Full sized shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower was a pleasant surprise. The best part was that is was salon quality!! The breakfast was fresh, hot, and amazing. Esther was phenomenal at keeping everything replenished despite having a large amount of people moving at a steady pace to get their breakfast. She was friendly and attentive. Literally one of the best hotel experiences weve had in a really really long time.
We have stayed at this hotel many times in the past with no problems. This visit was different. First thing we encounter was the computers crashed right as we were about to check in and the staff seemed a little lost as what to do. They finally wrote down my credit card info on a piece of paper and gave us a key to the room. I understand that the COVID mask rules had just relaxed, but people were backed up in the small lobby with no concern about social distancing or COVID. The next day we went to take showers, but there was only two towels and one face cloth, so not enough for two people. As I went to take a shower, I found out there was no water. We called the front desk and they said they would send somebody up. 30 minutes later, we called again and was told the entire hotel and neighboring hotel had no water. I had to go to see relatives without taking a shower. When we got back we found the water was working, but room was not serviced. The next morning I asked to have the room service since it was skipped the day before and was told they only clean a room after you check out or if you stay more then 5 days because of COVID. So the lobby can be full of people with no masks and thats ok because the mask restrictions were relaxed, but they cant clean the rooms because they hide behind the COVID. Sounds like a money savings scheme to me.
There were no towels at the pool. Guess you have to ask at desk or bring them from your room. If you have an early flight out be prepared as breakfast is very limited and there are no hot items available. Beds are super comfy, shuttle to airport provided and rooms are very clean. No microwave popcorn available in snack machines and hotel does not have a small snack shop do if you are a popcorn eater st night like me bring your own as a microwave and fridge are provided. Items in snack machines are very pricy. Bring your own.
I stayed 3 reservations coving Wednesday through Monday for Syracuse Family weekend. The room was missing the fridge and microwave the entire stay. The air-conditioning fan was on 24 hours and would not turn off. Smelled like smoke and mildew. One of the maintenance people came in without knocking. I happened to walk out of the restroom at the time caught him. My wife was not dressed. Fortunately I caught him before he walked further into the room. I did mention the missing fridge and microwave Thursday morning and was told that we would get one up right away. Never received what I asked for and paid for.
Many things are wrong with this hotel. The elevator door got stuck halfway when we were in the elevator so took the stairs for the rest of our stay. The air conditioner in our room stopped working in the middle of the night. Had service come in and then it would stay on for 5 minutes, then shut off for 1 and then start up again for 5 minutes. Wash, rinse, repeat. Did not sleep well at all as the fan was so loud. The ice machine was also broke on our floor so had to go to the lobby for ice. Not a good experience, will probably not be back to this one.
I was disappointed with this stay. Hoped to relax at the pool...way too cold to enjoy. No microwave or refrigerator in the room...was brought after I requested (Thought it was standard amenity?). Room seemed outdated. Didnt smell fresh. Luggage rack upholstery had large stain.
Very thing fabulous including the breakfast, room was clean and ready to stay in.The pool area and exercise room were really nice too.The staff over all was the most kindness and helpful out of the places we ever stayed. I would recommend a friend and all my family members to stay at a Hoilday Inn Express in there near future.
I thought that a Holiday would have had a much nicer hotel given I have stayed in many Holiday Inns. This was not one of the better ones and I will definitely be choosing a better hotel next to the airport, as there are many. We stayed at a Holiday Inn the night prior in Cooperstown and it as wonderful! Very professional front desk. This particular one, disappointed.
We had an excellent experience at your hotel in Syracuse. Would recommend a stay at this Holiday Express hotel, especially if you stay before or after a flight, but not the Holiday Express by the airport in Jacksonville, Florida. One thing I would recommend is to update the toilets to the taller modern one, especially to accommodate older clients,
The bed was king size and comfortable. It was a little noisy but nothing that was not able to be tolerated. The man who checked us and had a wonderful sense of humor. The room to the pool was extremely hot, almost like a sauna. The description of the room said heated pool. However, the water was cold, so surprisingly it was quite refreshing, especially when you got out of the pool, as you didnt freeze. I do believe that when it was described as a heated pool at was misleading. And the 12 teenagers that were in the pool at about 10 p.m. was ridiculous. They were playing Marco Polo and literally overtook the pool. There was no way you could even walk through the water without bumping into someone. I believe that was a parentalproblem though because parents should teach their kids to respect others in the pool. The view was just a parking lot but I cant imagine you would expect more from an airport hotel. However the pool thing really did kind of bother me as my husband and I rented the room specifically for an indoor heated pool as his mother was in from Virginia and wanted to baptize us in the morning. And the pool was freezing.
My experience here was great from the moment I called to see if I should book my stay here to the moment I checked out. I called the shuttle after my flight landed and the person that picked me up arrived quickly and was so nice. I got to the hotel earlier than expected and I told them I had no issue waiting in the lobby to check in, but they were so accommodating and gave me another room right away. My flight was also leaving late in the afternoon but they were so flexible and let me do a really late check out and drove me to the airport. The front desk staff and every other staff member were always so helpful on the phone and in person. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for good service at a fair price.
Spire Elite member ... have stayed at many many IHGs all over the world almost always for business. Normal expectations for HIE near a small airport. Rooms were large, very deep from door to outside wall. This particular hotel is due for a makeover though. Dated décor and furniture, desk and lamps outdated, no USB outlets anywhere I could find, no power outlet at the desk lamp to plug in laptop, had to stretch power cord to outlet that was too far away (moved desk closer). All in all nothing bad here, just due for a remodel.
Had some issues with the room. had mold on the bathroom ceiling, also went to use the refrigerator and at first it didnt work. i realized it was on plugged so i had to move the refrigerator and the tv out away from the wall to plug it in. but the bed was very comfortable.
I have been out in and out of Syracuse the last decade and it seems that this hotel hasn’t updated since the first day I came to Syracuse as it looks the same. For a hotel that has one elevator, you would think that it would be important to restore service to that elevator. If this hotel ever gets redone, they ought to consider adding one or two more elevators.
Elevator not working, stairwell smelly, carpets are dirty, this hotel needs a lot of attention. The airport shuttle driver, who was on the property, could not be found so I had to end up contacting Uber for a driver in order to get my flight. Only redeeming quality is the morning staff members were friendly, doing the best they could do with what they had to work with.
Having been a Director of Housekeeping at a hotel for 6 years I have a tendency to notice issues that others may not. The shower curtain in our room(120) looked like someone had grabbed it and pulled it loose from the hooks. The Watkins body wash was not working. Loved the Watkins shampoo and conditioner. The front desk staff was helpful and courteous and polite. The continental breakfast was plenty, the attendant was helpful securing my ride to the airport at 6:30am.I will return to this property and recommend it to others that may need a room close to the airport.
The staff was very kind but the hotel appears to be dated and did not look clean. The carpets are stained and the room furniture had terrible stains. The comforter was too small for the bed. I did not go to breakfast because I did not believe that the hotel was cleaned properly. It was very disappointing.
The front desk service and housekeeping staff were excellent. There was some splatter on the wall between the 2 beds. The bathroom drains were denning slow and I brought that to the attention of the housekeeper during check out. I chose this hotel for its proximity to the airport, park and fly option and shuttle service.
Positive: Courteous staff, easy check-in & check-out, 24-hour coffee station, comfortable bed, AC, spacious room, clean hotel. Negative: Walls thin enough to hear neighbors phone conversation & TV, guests walking around hotel barefoot after exiting pool, loud disrespectful guests carrying on late at night and slamming doors, mold in the shower, could have used a small refrigerator in room
Staff made me feel very welcomed. Hotel very convenient to airport and shuttle driver on time, friendly and helpful. My room/bathroom was very clean. Had access to refrigerator and microwave in my room. Brought dinner and breakfast with me for convenience but hotel also provided a number of delivery options for dinner. Bed was comfortable and I was able to get a good night sleep.
I think every thing was great from the friendly staff to the clean hotel. We went for a weekend getaway with the kids and they loved being in the pool to eating and getting their own breakfast. We came from buffalo and it was not a bad drive only a little over 2 hours. We will definitely be back in the fall.
Business losers. The worst holliday inn in the country. Room 210 has no refrigerator or microwave. Huge amount of dust all over the room. No ESP to watch Monday football.i called the front desk twice so far to get me a microwave and refrigerator but so far they keep saying that its coming. I have medication that I must store in a cool environment but now Im forced to go get a bag of ace to keep it in a cool temperature. One ☆ is too many. Sorry I will never stay here again.
Front desk charged one rate to two guest in front of me then changed the rate when I got there. And then after raised the rate of the two guests in front of me without their permission. When I asked the desk clerk about it, he was very rude and told me they were under charged and I was getting the correct rate. I said to him you can’t just raise their rate that transaction has been completed to which he replied the charges don’t take into effect until check out. Very rude and poorly trained. Need to bring James back, he was fantastic and very friendly
The beds were comfortable and it seemed relatively clean at first but there was things floating in the pool. Too many times something touched my legs while in the water. Also Ive never been to a hotel that didnt have a fridge or a microwave in the rooms unless they were king rooms. Thats some BS. The breakfast isnt all that either.
Our flight was delayed in Chicago. When our arrival time to Syracuse changed from 6pm to 2am, we struggled to find a clean reputable room with reliable shuttle service. As a last resource we connected with our Priority Club reservations. Immediately a room was found right by the airport and the shuttle services was sent right on time. When it matters most... this Holiday Inn team came together to help us. Thanks to their help, we were able to make it home to my brothers graduation party - Pan Am style (he is heading to college to become a pilot)
Its an average Holiday Inn Express. Its an older building and the rooms show it. Ive been in several of the rooms and the AC/Heat units are in various conditions. Some work great, some are falling apart.Bathroom was ok, what appeared to be dirty was only due to age of hardware, things were actually clean though.Comfortable beds and close to the airport, a gas station across the street and several restaurants within a few minutes of the hotel is nice.
Service is great! However we had ants in our room 128 someones fingernail by the nightstand and mold in the bathroom. We didnt ask for another room or leave it just made us uncomfortable. There was no control in the pool area where kids were running and diving with signs saying not to.
Not up to the typical high standards of this org. There were no cups in the room, the heater was damaged, the temperature controls were worn out, some of the staff were not wearing masks, the airport shuttle ride was a low scale trump rally. Other than that, it was fine, and the breakfast was great.
Check in smooth. Room clean. I appreciate the 3 bottles on the wall, not for ease of use but to stop all the small bottles being thrown away.Appreciated plastic cup to drink our wine before dinner from than paper coffee cups.Appreciated having access to food rather than bagged brft that some hotels still do.Husband preferred your dining room coffee over the coffee choices in room
Front disk was so gentle and quick , the elevator take us to third floor and the room was so close to the elevator, the room was wide and clean and the king size bed was comfortable and the shower was great. The only thing was the high sound of the heat machine. The vender machine was working and the breakfast was excellent and delicious with fresh coffee.
We have stayed at this hotel two different times in 2019 but on the 1st floor as I was having back surgeries. This time we were on the 3rd floor. The third floor is musty and smells aweful. The room was the same. It was really outdated. We travel all over the country and have stayed in dozens of Holiday Inns and I dont make this review lightly. This place needs updating desperately.
I liked that the pool was open 8-11 and the 24 hour fitness center. The staff was friendly and the hot breakfast had a good amount of options. The rooms were a bit dated. The mattresses were fairly comfortable but the pillows were horrible. The location had nearby food choices. The room could have been cleaned a bit better or checked over.
Our bathroom shower faucet was extremely loose and hanging off the wall. The shower head itself fell off when in use. Luckily we had 2 rooms and used the other one. There were never enough towels in the rooms or pool. We are a family of 5 that shower daily. There wasnt a fridge in the room originally but they did bring us one when we called. our keys were one time use. They were deactivated every single time and wouldnt give them to my kids when they asked for a new one. After all the complaints, i was shocked they wouldnt honor the late checkout request as we made it to the finals and wanted to stay an extra 2 hours.
Room smelled like smoke, didnt look that put together, and they only included 1 towel for 3 people. They did get us more towels though, and honestly, its not all that bad for a quick nights stay by the airport. I just wouldnt stay for more than one night. If you have a longer stay, go elsewhere.
First room we were given had clearly been used, fast food still all over, towels on floor in bathroom, bed not made, clearly had not been cleaned at all. Went back to service desk, gave us another room, which was actual clean! You can hear anything and everything! People were talking most of the night in the halls and slamming doors! Definitely will not be back nor would I recommend
The pool area and water itself was at a perfect temperature for swimming and relaxing. It was a busier than usual weekend, so they ran out of towels in the pool area, but, staff tried to keep up with the number of people using the pool as best they could. Breakfast had a great variety of hot and cold breakfast items to choose from. There was coffee and water available 24/7. The room itself was very comfortable. We stayed in a king suite that had a microwave and refrigerator and Keurig machine in the room. The bathroom was a great size and had shampoo, conditioner and body wash included in big bottles attached on the wall of the shower. Not those teeny tiny sample bottles that you find in most other hotel rooms. The bed was relatively comfortable. Not any better or worse than other hotels Ive stayed in. Over all, it was a very good experience and I would stay here again.
I had to attend a Sweet 16 in the area and stayed with My family at the Holiday Inn, after driving 4 hours from New York, upon reaching our destination, we were greeted by the front desk receptionist, with a smile, her friendliness and the way she treated us, made us feel very welcome. The price was right and the staff was kind and friendly, and dont talk about the breakfast, they dish out every morning, they have their own pancake maker, my children enjoyed it, my son had a blast in the pool, he had it all to himself. So you already know where I would be heading, on my next vacation with my family. Here my photos let them tell you the story.
What a great way to start a vacation…the front desk staff were so friendly and welcoming to us upon our arrival, it was the perfect way to end a long day of driving. A restaurant recommendation was suggested to us, which was also as friendly and welcoming!!! Thank you to the wonderful and amazing staff!!!!
Excellent hotel, the room was very nice the bed was super plush and comfy. I really enjoyed the bathroom and all the little things we got, the kuering was also a nice touch. The complementary breakfast was probably the best one Ive had! Fresh cinnamon rolls, pancakes, eggs, bacon, and sausage. Ill definitely be staying here again whenever I come back.
My stay was horrible from the start. I booked two different rooms, one for my parents and one for myself, kids and husband. Housekeeping never cleaned my parents room. I was called by the front desk who told me that there were complaints about the noise in my room. Please note, I had three kids who were making the normal noise kids make. The bathroom smelled like feces all the time, not sure if the plumbing is bad but it was horrible to smell. The sofa cushions seemed to have been burned. The sleeper in the sofa was very very uncomfortable to where you can feel the springs. I asked for extra sheets and pillows (plural). They brought me one sheet and one pillow that had multiple yellow stains. It goes without saying that I did not use it. I had no rest the second night as there was constant noise coming from the other guests rooms. Kids were running up and down the hall way on my floor and on the floor above me. There was no ice machine on my floor, so my husband had to constantly go to different floors to get ice, very inconvenient. The rooms had no USB ports (very outdated). I should have paid the extra money and stayed at the Candlewood suites hotel that was across the street. I WILL NEVER VISIT ANOTHER HOLIDAY INN AGAIN!!!!!
We stayed for a couple of nights that happened to coincide with the tail end of a fair in Syracuse. As such, the hotel was packed and noisy which I guess it is reasonable but the main issue was that the staff wasnt prepared to deal with such crowds specially when it came to breakfast time. Most food items were gone, not much of a choice left with long line ups.Other than that, the staff were friendly and accommodating, the rooms and facilities were clean enough for the caliber of hotel this is, the rooms were large enough for our family of 4 (inc two small children) and the beds were very comfy.Due to room noise on our first night, we changed to an upper floor room which was better in terms of noise and had a fridge/microwave.The pool was perfect size for our kids (5 and 7). Koodos to James, Carmen and Jennifer as they were all very pleasant and accommodating.
I canceled my reservation here due to a VERY poor & strange customer service. Trying to solicit some guidance on how to accommodate a second individual to check in but w/o credit card. Happy to fill up any form but the staff hangs up. Called back multiple times w same no. but now goes/forwarded to a unknown number. It appears a new way/approach of hotel staff(s) avoiding inquiries.
I was pleased with my 2 night stay here at this hotel. I drove from out of state for a company meeting, and decided to stay an extra night, aside from what my company paid for, so I didnt have to make the long drive back home as soon. The Front Desk staff was helpful, and friendly; although slightly unattentive, as there is a seating area for them just off to the side of the front desk, and when there, they are not as focused on guest service. The hotel room was clean and comfortable; the added amenities of a room refridgerator, and a 1 cup Keurig coffee maker, were quite nice to have there as well. The pool area looked clean and inviting, but I never got a chance to use it. The meeting room that my company had used, was slightly small for what we needed, but it worked for our purposes. And, the breakfast bar was organized, and had more to offer than I expected. My overall experience at this hotel was comfortable, I would recommend it to others, as well as stay here again myself.
This hotel is conveniently located by the airport, the stay, park, and go option is perfect, leave your vehicle and take the shuttle to the airport and have them pick you up after your trip and bring you back to your vehicle is great. Very clean and a great breakfast options before you leave to catch your flight.
We stayed at this location recently when traveling outbid the country early in the morning and everyone was great. We had to leave for the airport at 4am and the lady at the front desk had food and drinks out for us to grab before we left which was very kind. The shuttle service was great both in the way out and on the return trip back home. The staff and rooms were great. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area or if your doing the stay and fly we have used it a couple times and they are always great about getting us to and picked up from the airport.
We stayed here for a week on a work trip and the manager of this facility was just lovely. We felt like family at every breakfast and had a nice conversation. The shuttle service took us everywhere we wanted to go which really made us feel comfortable and relaxed. They also provided us with a microwave and fridge just by asking! The room service on the other hand made us feel a little uneasy with how they reacted if we asked for towels or extra soap, even when we told them they didn’t have to service our room for the day which I thought they would be happy about. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay and look forward to another trip in Syracuse.
We chose the Holiday in for its reputation. The staff was welcoming the room was large clean and comfortable. The airport shuttle was right on time and got us to the airport in plenty of time to check in for our flight. We would recommend this hotel to anyone whether arriving or departing Syracuse.
The breakfasts were wonderful. The staff were very accommodating. It was a good price and value but we had some problems with our room. The keys kept deactivating and had to be reset 2 times while we were there. The bathroom fan would go on when we turned the light on and it was loud. The thermostat in the room would go automatically to a higher temperature even when we set it lower. Because of those issues it made it hard to enjoy the room.
The hotel is conveniently close to the airport and gas stations for rental car re-fueling. The staff is pleasant and attentive. The courtesy van service is nothing short of remarkable - during a blizzard, the driver took guests to local restaurants; this was an outstanding benefit. The hotel is clean, as was my guest room. The interior is a touch dated, but certainly acceptable. Maintenance appears good. The internet stability and speed leaves a lot to be desired. Morning breakfast is convenient, and typical in variety.
The room was great and the stay was very nice .Around 4am new guests came in and were in the room behind us. I woke up around 4:15am to the bed posts pounding on the wall, loud noises, music being played and loud talking until 6:30am. Very uncomfortable!! I had my 9 year old and two 13 year old daughters woken up to these noises. I spoke to the front desk lady and she apologized. I know anyone can do as they please in their rooms however, this was embarrassing
Initially I entered the hotel with lower expectations being that it was near the airport. I was on an overnight delay and didn’t plan on staying too long. The smell in the hallways seemed like cigarettes and the room had a bit of a musty smell, but I turned on the air and it seemed to go away. It may be that I just got used to it. The bed was comfortable and clean, although I didn’t sleep well due to my flight situation. Breakfast was completed earlier than listed and it had a great selection. The woman preparing the assortment welcomed us and told us to help ourselves while still prepping. The shuttle service to the airport was easy.
The bed was comfortable and the location convenient. However, there was no fan in the bathroom, the toilet stopped flushing and the sink was hard to use. The rooms are a bit dated and it was hard to find a good place to charge phones. Breakfast was OK. However, we arrived at the end of the service time and some of the food was pretty stale. Also, the staff was vacuuming in the area while we were eating which made it less than relaxing and not very quiet.
We were in town for a youth softball tournament and truly enjoyed this hotel. The staff is wonderful and the beds are so comfortable!!! Its location is quite near the fields so it is very convenient as well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone heading to the Syracuse area.
Very happy with hotel we will stay again. Breakfast was very nice with great choices. Room size was good. Bathroom was large. Pool was quiet and warm. Only negative was that our refrigerator wasnt cleaned. There was food in it from the people before us. Other than that room was clean. It was also nice that the Carvel ice cream shop is right across the street, we walked there for ice cream.
One star is TOO many! I don’t leave negative reviews but here I am at 3:20am driving 2 hours to get home because the management would do nothing about the crazy party of drunk people blaring their heavy bass music and slamming doors. Did I mention the very loud conversations in the hall? 3:00 am was the end! We asked for a security escort out and when they came to get us we met another family with their three or four young young kids who were forced out as well. No apologies. Just “I don’t have authority to do anything” from the staff member. We can’t find another hotel in Syracuse so Happy Mother’s Day to me and my best friend and happy 13th bday to our girls! Great surprise this turned out to be! The surprise is on us as we now lost our night of sleep and our weekend was ruined. Oh and the lovely smell of weed as we walked to our car was an addition treat!
There were three people ahead of me at check-in. None of them were wearing masks despite the fact that there are signs in the lobby stating that masks must be worn in all public areas. When I mentioned this to the desk clerk, he replied, Well, you should have said something to them. I said, Thats not my job. He said, Well, its not my job either. If its not the duty of the person in charge to enforce the rules, whose is it?Other than the rude desk clerk, my only complaint is the fact that the toilet hadnt been cleaned properly. (There were hairs. Yecch!) The rest of the room was clean. It was well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was terrific. I would stay here again, hoping that next time everything will be perfect.
We arrived to find no one there. We had to search the hotel so we could check in. He was friendly and helpful. The room was nice, beds comfy, rooms quiet and clean. Wifi easy to connect to and worked quickly. Checkout in the early morning was difficult. No one was at the front desk for over a 1/2 hr. The shuttle guy had to take our names and room numbers so we could checkout and leave so we didnt miss our flights. It was absolutely ridiculous to have this issue. I understand its a smaller city but seriously.
The staff was very curtious and treated us very well. We were staying the night with a 2 month old baby and they were very accommodating. Made sure we had a room on the first floor for ease of moving in and out. The rooms were very clean and well kept. I would definitely recommend a stay here especially if your flying out of Syracuse Hancock airport the next morning early. The shuttle service to the airport was great and had the vehicle all warmed up and ready to go for us when we got down there at 4 a.m..
The building is ran down. The furniture has seen better days. There is a musty smoker smell. Our room was dirty. There was a very disturbing q-tip left on the bathroom counter, when we walked in. There was no air conditioning in the room. Complete disappointment. The only thing that this place has going for it is the friendly front desk staff and proximity to the airport.
We chose this hotel because we like Holiday Inn Express and saw that they had a Park and Drive program where you can stay at their hotel and park your car while youre away. The hotel staff were extremely nice, the place was spotless, and it had a very friendly atmosphere. The breakfast was good and not having to drive to the airport and find a parking place was great. Its so nice to be dropped off at your airline by their shuttle instead. Well definitely make this our hotel when we travel.
Front desk was impeccable...outstanding service. Shuttle driver not wearing mask and not requiring is unacceptable. Keep the locals out....this is a hotel not a public community center or public pool for locals. At the price paid, the supposed suite was not a suite....it was a room with a sofabed situated so you couldnt even view the television.
We booked this hotel for a one night stay while shopping at Destiny USA. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. While the carpets in the rooms are dated, the beds are comfortable and despite other reviews, we found it to be a quiet hotel. Our only complaints would be that the bathroom drain was slow-draining and the water pressure was barely there. The breakfast had a good selection of food and was restocked right up until it closed for the day. Overall, we were happy with our stay and would recommend staying at this hotel.
George behind the counter was warm and welcoming when we arrived. He made you feel like youd been there hundreds of times before. There were warm cookies waiting, they were very helpful with the shuttle when I returned my rental car and also taking us out and back from a wonderful restaurant they recommended. Ive come to expect courteous service along with a nice room and bed from IHG but this hotel sets that bar to a new level. Great job to all, you make travelling a better experience.
I booked here because I had a 6am flight from the Syracuse airport the next day. This was a clean, comfortable hotel. It is not super fancy, but it is a good value for your money. The hotel staff is very nice and accommodating. The rooms are clean - and this is my number one requirement in a hotel. It is not a high-end hotel, but it doesnt try to be. However, it does have everything that you need: Keurig coffeemaker, nice shampoo, clean linens on the bed. Plus, it is quiet! This is exactly what you need when you are flying the next day. I would stay here again.
Dont stay here, this is the only American flag not at half staff in North Syracuse, the establishment said if they lower it them it might get stuck and they will have to call fire Dept.i guess its them being lazy and its much too inconvenient to show respect for our Fallen Marines, why would anyone want to stay here!!! Lower you darn flag like everyone else has done,The Candlewood next door is an excellent choice to stay, thank you Candlewood for lowering your flag in respect.
I highly recommend the Holiday Inn Express near Hancock Airport in Syracuse, NY. After a very long and challenging trip that day, I felt like I was coming home as I was greeted with friendliness and compassion. The room was very clean and well maintained. I melted into the bed and had a very comfortable sleep. Great value! Great staff!
Arrived to a lobby full of people, all with some sort of voucher, being checked in by a single desk clerk, taking a lot of time for each person! Took about one hour waiting my turn.My check-in only took a couple of minutes since I didn’t have to deal with vouchers. After traveling for 12 hours, the last thing I needed was an hour waiting in line to get to a room, which was dingy in appearance and lacked sufficient power outlets. Not going back to another Holiday Inn!
The Hotel was very nice, and the room service was good. We got to use the phones and stuff. We even got a wake up call! They have good hotel foods. And the workers looked happy. I think Bands/Familys/People/Travellers should go there. The hotel was clean. The elevator run smoothly. I recommended this for you!
Have stayed here many times until now, we always went back. This time, not sure if we will. First, the man that checked me in was wonderful. Checkout was sympathetic but that was it Arrived to 4 children running and screaming in the lobby and asking guests including me for money. Guest room was ok, except for the broken knob on the light and a very slow flushing toilet. Starting before midnight other guests started hanging out in the hallway and the noise echoed all over. Heard someone ask them to be quiet then 1/2 hour later we called the front desk. Nothing changed and it continued for hours. Finally in the morning there was absolutely no hot water! That was a first any place. We left, didnt even try to stay for breakfast. Fairly most of the issue were the guests but, somethings should have been done or they should have been asked to leave. Front desk said many guests had complained. Who has more rights? Will I stay again? Just dont know and that is sad.
Visiting our son in Syracuse, needed to be close to his apartment. We had always been fans of Holiday Inn Express. But this morning we both came out of the shower exclaiming how beautiful soft and white the towels were and how sweet and snow white the bedding. We stopped an employee and asked if she was with Housekeeping. She said no longer, but can I help? Well I told her I had maybe a strange comment, but How do you get the towels so white and soft? She smiled. We told her we both had the same reaction independently and she said it was great to know that the updates to the laundry department were so effective. We will be staying here often over the next few years, and are so happy they are so clean and efficient. Staff was very nice at check in and breakfast too. Great experience too!
The hotel was very close to the airport. The shuttle promptly took me to the airport as scheduled. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was average for hotels that include breakfast, with a good variety. The room lacked outlets near the bed to plug in a phone charger. The hotel was priced high compared to other Holiday Inn Express hotels that Ive stayed in that were much more modern. There was only one bar of soap in the bathroom (usually 2, one for the sink and one for the shower), no bath mat and a bottle of cleanser left on the vanity. Overall the stay was good.
I stayed here twice in the same week, the first night on arrival in Syracuse and then seven days later prior to my departure. I requested a room near one of the hotel entrances so I didnt have to walk very far (bad back) and the staff was very accommodating both times. In fact, I asked for the same room for the second stay and they reserved it for me. I appreciated their kindness very much! The bed was a super comfortable king size with several pillows that were marked soft or firm. The room was clean, the location quiet and the bathroom amenities ample. Breakfast was a wide assortment of hot and cold items and included several cereal selections, breads, muffins, pancakes, biscuits, bacon, sausage, yogurt and multiple beverages (tea, coffee, milk, juices).I travel quite often for both work and vacation and was very happy with this hotel. I would definitely stay here again.
I enjoyed all aspects of my stay here. I really have no complaints. From the phone reservation assistant to the front desk staff to the breakfast tenants, this hotel is running like a well-oiled machine. It was clean, friendly, and professional. I will definitely be back if my travels allow.
A very pleasant stay. The room was clean, comfortable and extremely quiet with the bed and pillows making for a great sleep. The shuttle driver was very kind and went out of his way to make sure I made it safely to dinner and back. The front desk staff were very friendly and check in was quick and easy. The breakfast buffet was good with a nice variety of foods to choose from.
A male worker checked us in. He greeted us with a smile and was full of happiness. So often throughout COVID19, the pandemic has everyone on edge/tired/depressed. I arrived at the hotel with a medical procedure on my mind and he made me forget about all my issues. I wish I could remember his name. I do hope I can receive the bonus points for writing a review as normally I don’t participate. I used two reward nights so a family member could drive me to my medical procedure and pick me up the day after.
Stayed overnight while visiting my daughter/son-in-law and their children. Kept the kids at the hotel with me, they had a great time swimming. The pool was clean and there were ample towels available. The room was the perfect size with two queen beds, the temperature was easy to control and most importantly it was quiet. Even though we were near the elevator we could not hear it or noises from other rooms. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful! Hot and delicious. Would certainly stay again.
The whole hotel was dirty and gross. Food and stains all over the hallway carpets. Stains all over the chair in the room. Bed was hard and not comfortable. We couldn’t wait to leave. We arrived after 10pm and already had paid or we would have gone elsewhere. There was expired milk in the cooler at breakfast and a guest brought it to their attention and it was an inconvience to the hotel. Tried talking to the front desk about stay and they could care less. Very disappointed in this stay at a Holiday inn which is usually consistently ok across the board. So if this is their new standard no more stays for me. Avoid this one!!!!!
Its a nice hotel. Our bathroom door was very hard to shut and the AC unit made some weird noises so I knocked off a star from my review. It would also be nice if they had outlets available on the bed side tables and more on the desk. Thats pretty standard for hotels these days. The room and bathroom were nicely updated, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was very nice. They do have complementary shuttle service to and from the airport. Id recommend staying here.
The water in the pool was nice and warm. One of the best hotel pools we have ever been in. The room was nice and big with a king size bed. The front desk staff was very friendly to us at check in. I gave him my rewards car and he told me we would get our points for our stay with a smile.
For a Holiday InnExpress I expected better service and quality. The front desk staff was a little toofriendly and not as professional as we would have expected. The room was clean but outdated. The TV remote would control the thermostate which eventually made us turnthe heater off because we weresick of the room temperature going cold then warm just because we were changing channels.Wewanted to watch a movie our first night but there were no movies to purchase. The cleaning staff were loud ( talking on cell phone (yell phone)while cleaning rooms orcomplainedabout having to cleanoacoffee spill in the elevator. There is very little parking.
We did a stay and fly and the price was great. Dan the Van driver took us to a nice restaurant and picked us up. We had to catch an early flight and the shuttle took us at 4:00am and they will be picking us up at midnight of the day we return. Front desk people were fantastic. Will definetly stay there again
...especially when arriving late after a flight. Upon arrival, the hotel common areas were very clean and well maintained (this inspite of arriving in the middle of a rainy night). The person at check in was polite, friendly and even upgraded my room for the night. The room was in excellent condition, spotless and well appointed. Having a choice between soft or firm pillows was a nice touch I dont see too often.Breakfast was good and had a nice variety of items.Checkout person was equally polite, friendly and efficient.
I know this is out there, but I couldnt help myself. We were there for just a short overnight stay as my son lives in Syracuse, and we didnt feel like making the 5 hour drive home. First thing I noticed upon entering the room was how white the bedding was, I thought to myself, bold choice for a hotel room. My husband took his shower before bed, I took mine in the morning. While eating breakfast, I mentioned to him how white, bright and soft the towels were, and how I slept all night, which I dont do too often these days. He said he was thinking the same thing regarding the towels and bedding. Just before getting back to our room, I saw an employee and stopped her, told her I had an odd question, but could she tell me what they used to make the linens so very white and soft. My husband said, the towels must be new as they were so thick also. She said she was no longer with housekeeping, but thanked us for the complement and would pass it along. She also said the manager had been doing updates, and one of those was in the laundry department. New equipment but the regular products. Also, she told us, the towels were not new. Well, all I can say, is the staff was welcoming, the entire place was beautifully clean, the breakfast had plenty of choices, and I slept like a baby. This will be our regular stop on the many future trips to visit our son and granddaughters in Syracuse. Thank you for a restful evening. See you soon!
Ive recently stayed at 2 other Holiday Inn Express hotels (within the past 4 weeks) and Id have to say that this one didnt impress me. The room was musty smelling upon entering. The other 2 hotels (Geneva, NY and Oswego, NY) have better facilities - new beds, new quieter air conditioners and fire pits outside for guest enjoyment. The coffee maker in my room did not work and I was never able to connect to the internet (even with the password) while I was there. However the staff was very friendly and accommodating and the room itself was clean. Wouldnt recommend.
The Holiday Inn Express Staff made sure our stay was excellent. When we first arrived, our rooms were not ready. The staff made sure that we were comfortable until our room was ready. This was extremely helpful considering we had two young children to occupy. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The night we stayed, there was a motocross competition going on and there were around 20-25 guys staying at the hotel. In passing, they told me that they were going to party hard that night. At night, I never heard any noise from other rooms. Either they didnt party as hard, or our room kept their noise out. Finally, our son had issues with his knee that night. The staff was more than accommodating to his needs. In addition, the hotel manager called me the next business day to see how my son was feeling.
This is a conveniently located hotel for the Syracuse airport. Very good shuttle service to the airport, and I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the shuttle would take me to a restaurant and return me to the hotel. Very good breakfast, serving hot and cold food, Comfortable bed and accommodations. The carpets could use updating, replacing: they look worn in places. The cloth covered bench in my room had some stains, but nothing too bad. Overall: good hotel for its purpose. Nice staff.
Checking out I was charged in correctly. I attempted to speak with staff member on my way out. The staff was rude and raised his voice. I had to let him know I wasnt interested in the exchange and I will contact management myself. He proceeded to speak to me in a rude manner and tell me I was already charged. I was in uniform as I am a Soldier. This incident left a very bad taste for me. I felt extremely uncomfortable during that encounter. Upon checking out, he spoke to me again and in front of the manager, I stated I do not want to speak to him. I came back in to return the cart and said I will speak with the manager now and I proceeded to say he was not available. I asked for his business card I will call later then. The staff still wanted to explain himself. I then said, I would like his card as I have asked for already. He pointed to the business cards on the desk. He was beyond rude and I will not be returning because of him.
Let me preface by saying the staff were great and accommodating and the bed was comfortable however thats about it for positives. The room was nice and comfortable however the walls had several scuffs and was noticeably damaged. There were no usable outlets for charging my phone/laptop unless I wanted to unplug the lamps which then didnt provide any light. The stairways smelled heavily of smoke. One of the washing machines was broken and unusable. The treadmills in the fitness center were only usable if you wanted to walk on them. I enjoy staying at holiday inn expresses usually, however, this stay was not one of those experiences.
This property is in need of renovation, but the bathroom and room were clean. The bedspreads were rumpled as though someone had sat on them after they were made. It would have taken the housekeeping staff in extra tug to straighten the beds to look neat. The toilet paper holder fell off the wall. It did not look like the lotion provided was a new container.
I booked this hotel for two nights. Staff at the reception desk was very welcoming and professional. Bedding and other furniture in the room was obove average. Water pressure in the shower was not enough to enjoy the bath. After the first night stay, I left the hotel around 9:30 am and informed the cleaning staff member to make the room. However, when I came back to the room around 3:45 pm, the room was in the same mess as I left in the morning. When I informed at the front desk, I was told that there were a lot of guests in the hotel and there was only one person on duty to make the rooms.
I travel quite s bit for work and choose this group as my homing hotels. Normally the hotels are great. This Hotel should have been closed. The staff was amazing!!The hotel was aweful. The carpet was filthy. I did not want to walk on it. The walls inside the elevator was gross. There were hairs on 2 of my bath towels and everything was very outdated and smelled weird.
My stay was brief but very comfortable. Got in around 1 in the morning and had no problem finding the hotel from the airport. Just drive down the main exit road and turn left at the T. There you are. Hotel very nice and no problem checking in or out. Staff very pleasant. Didnt make it to breakfast but there was coffee when I left. Only problem was finding someplace to plug in my CPAP machine by the bed. There was no outlet so I had to unplug a clock radio. There should be more outlets in these rooms.
We stayed at the hotel in order to catch an early morning flight. The front desk person was polite, efficient and welcoming. The room was very clean and with plenty of space. We found the bed comfortable and both slept well. In the morning we just had time for some good coffee before an effortless checkout.
This was my second stay at this hotel due to location. Its a little tricky to get to but over all not a bad location.Bathroom vent was loud. The vent switch connected with light so you cant turn one on without turning on the other. I asked to switch to other room but was told the noise lever for all bathroom vent would be the same. I asked for a night light to be installed in bathroom so not all of us woke up because one of us had to use the bathroom at night. The front desk staff provided a flashlight because they dont have any night light at the hotel.I inspected every towel before use because I experienced dirty towels during my first stay. No dirty towels this time though which was a big improvement to me.There was no bar fridge in the room so we had to gather ice and leave some of our food in cooler bag. There was not a lot selection for breakfast but was ok for a quick one.I only had to deal with one staff during my stay and he was friendly enough. This hotel is ok for a one night stay. I was in a non HIE hotel the weekend before and I missed that one while staying here.Their loyalty program does not accept your point if you somehow was not able to present your loyalty program number at time of booking or check in. I find it not user friendly at all.
We often do not sleep well when traveling but we may have had the best nights sleep ever. There was a flood light directly outside our room but the black out curtains did their job we even slept in a bit, No noise from the nearby airport although I am sure we must have been in its flight pattern. We were in the area for an early morning Dr appointment and were refreshed to go. Nice clean room and plenty of room to use a wheelchair

2022-07-05We stayed for a night at this hotel on our way to another state. The hotel’s entrance seemed hidden due to some construction happening at the main intersection. The staff member (James) at the front desk was courteous, helpful and had a good sense of humor! Check in process was smooth. However, the room that was assigned to us had a strange odor and the bathroom exhaust fan was not working. We reached out to James and he immediately assigned a new room to us. The ‘new’ room was clean and tidy. The complementary hot breakfast in the morning was quite elaborate and fresh! Overall, our stay was pleasant and comfortable but the hotel seemed to be a little rundown. Possibly, due to construction.

2022-05-29Uneven and inconsistent might be the best descriptions. The first night I stayed was pretty good. The traditional welcome (complete with cookie), a room near the front desk, less than $150 / night... it was reasonable.Room was clean and comfortable, bathroom clean and spacious. The included breakfast the next morning had good variety and good food, and good coffee. The second time I stayed (three weeks later) no welcome, no cookie, nothing. Okay, fine. You win some, you lose some - but even so, annoying.I was given a room across from the pool, even though I had requested the same kind of room (near the front desk) I had the first time. People back and forth half the night, kids running up and down the hall, noisy and loud - and I had to get up at 3:30 for a very early flight.Breakfast? What breakfast? Not even a grab-and-go. I had to leave the hotel by 4:30 for the flight, and breakfast didnt open until 6:30.The second stay cost me $200 for the night - with no discount although I couldnt have any breakfast. $50 more for the absent breakfast is beyond annoying. With no restaurant on the premises and no allowance for travelers flying in and out of Syracuse at all hours (though this Hilton Express bills itself as an airport hotel) I dont think Ill stay here again. There are other chain hotels near the airport. I think I can do better for the price, even though Im a Hilton member.

2022-05-05The entire staff was more than friendly for us. The place was nice, excellent breakfast, and we will definitely be back. Myself and two of my best girlfriends of 50 years met there after they got off their flights and it was perfect! we ran into another woman I think we called her T Who is some sort of supervisor. But the friendliest person ever. We really enjoyed everyone there and we thanked everybody wholeheartedly

2022-06-27Very disappointed. Bad experience all around. We stayed there and had a bunch of rooms blocked for a softball tournament. This was the dirtiest place all of us ever stayed in. Stains all over the carpets in hallways and in rooms. My room smelled like marijuana and had to spray it and it didnt even help. Room was dirty and mold on the bathroom ceiling. The guy at the front desk wouldnt even check to see if our room was ready a half hour early. He ignored us and went outside to smoke. There were several employees that were very nice and went out of there was to accommodate us, but thats about all I can say good about it.The parking was also very limited. We moved to Best Western in downtown Oswego for our last night in NY. This place was top notch, clean, and friendly. The price was almost the same also.

2022-02-24From the amazing continental breakfast, plethora of amenities and top notch staff, I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel. Also, it’s a clean hotel at a convenient location. In addition, I would like to thank Jennifer (the front desk clerk) for going above and beyond in customer care. Honestly, all the staff there always put on a smile while being professional too. I highly recommend this hotel!

2022-04-21Positive: This hotel is very close to the Syracuse Airport and the rental car return terminal. The front desk staff was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The hotel had a breakfast available. They have an airport shuttle available, which we appreciated. Negative: This hotel is definitely a high turn around and value stay hotel. It needs a renovation. Smells kind of old as you walk in.

2022-04-16Never been to SYR and booked due to IHG membership. Great office staff, friendly and helpful. Our room was ready EARLY so we could relax after traveling 7 hours.Free shuttle from airport.Free breakfast - ok, nothing fancy but decent selection for kids.Coffee available all day :)Room had coffee maker, the only thing missing in the room was a mini-refrigerator and microwave.

2022-04-01Other than the fact that there a mysterious stain on the carpet near my bed, and I had issues with parking it was a pretty decent stay. What was my issue with parking? Well I went out and when I returned there wasnt a spot for me to park. So they told me to park at the Candlewood Suite next door {which has more parking}. Why didnt I just stay there then? The cost was less, and seemed to have reliable parking. Im also annoyed how its been a week since my stay, and no one has contacted me to ask about my stay after I asked for someone to contact me.

2022-04-26Planned on staying for 1 night after flying into SYR but enjoyed our room and the helpful staff so we stayed another night. The shuttle was wonderfully convenient. Definitely will return to this hotel.Had a problem with room type when booked online that wasn’t able to fix. However the staff accommodated me when I arrived.

2022-04-10Great staff and a great experience but this was the only decent hotel in my price range close to the city. Its about a 4 minute drive with decent traffic. I would highly recommend this hotel to someone who wants to be close to the city on a budget.
