Always a fabulous dining experience and delicious choices on the menu. The Hollywood doesnt take a back seat to any restaurant in Central New York and Finger Lakes region. And holidays like Valentines Day is truly a wonderful experience.Would give them 10 stars if it was an option.
An Auburn, NY staple. My grandparents took me here many times when I was younger. This restaurant will always have a fond place in my heart and I’m glad that I’ve been able to share it with my son the few times we’ve come back to Auburn to visit from Arizona.
Everybody in Auburn knows this is the place to go for a great meal!! Ive been going here for decades and have never been disappointed. My family and I went there Sunday for my birthday. The 10 of us had a great time and the atmosphere gives you the feeling of home. Our waitress Karen was awesome and the portions were huge. Thank you Hollywood staff for a great day!
Good service... The pasta combo was loved by two people in my party, especially the meatballs. Generous portions. I had the special coconut shrimp. Very good . Sever took time for my special request of vinegar on my fries .. thanks
The service and quality of food were excellent!I have been coming here since I was a teenager and now many, many years later the quality is just as good. Bridget and Joe would be proud.
Great classic Italian food you cant beat
The chicken parm is huge, enough for an army. Moist and delicious. Pork chops are cooked perfectly. Nice meal.
Fantastic food, and large portions. One of the hidden jewels of Auburn. If you like Italian food, this is one of the best places to find it. Great family atmosphere, with room for large groups. It combines the intimate atmosphere with the local neighborhood feel. I personally love this place. The food is consistently good and plentiful.

Wonderful experience!! We were having a party for 12. The Manager accommodated everything we asked for. Rhonda was the BEST server. We never needed for anything. Tiffany, Karen and Taylor were awesome at their jobs. The menu was diverse and everyone enjoyed the food. When you walk in, the Pub entrance is so like a Pub. Has so much natural light you can see the menu, the drinks were made so professionally. The dinning room was set beautifully. A lot of natural light so you can see the menu. The fake foliage could go, but We werent there to eat the decorations. If you would like a quiet dinning experience (so you can hear the conversation at your table) and professional servers and enough food for three meals then this is the place to go!!!! You get more than your moneys worth. I am not from here, I dont know the owners or the manager, but I am looking forward to going back!!!

Always a treat. The calamari was a small portion for the price. My wife felt the chicken parm was a bit stringy this time. Their manicotti and meatballs were deliscious.

We had a large group for dinner. The serve was awesome and the food was awesome too! Definitely going back. Our favorite was the fresh bread, mozzarella sticks with the sauce and the canolis
I had the broiled scallops and they were wonderful. Lemon meringue pie for dessert...awesome. The wait staff was so friendly and attentive. The hostess was very friendly and took us without a reservation.
I go here for their veal parm. I eat half my meal there and take half with me. I love it! I feel at home here, and there are a lot of regulars who eat here alone. Employees are all friendly. Food is fantastic. Very clean establishment. We highly recommend it!
Step back in time and you have landed at the Hollywood Restaurant. Very small entranceway that puts you right into the dining area . Staff is very friendly, about the only positive and reason why I am giving a 2 star review instead of a1. I am surprised that the food is so sub par. The salads are as basic as they come. Iceberg lettuce with a grape tomatoe and a slice of seeded cucumbers . I ordered the Italian platter being I was in an Italian restaurant. My party ordered: spaghetti and meatballs, fried seafood platter, and 1/2 plate fettuccine and broccoli. The fried seafood platter was mostly breading and very little seafood. My guy that LOVES spaghetti did not finish his dinner nor did he want to bag it to go home. I ate about 3 bites of my Italian platter and bagged it to go home thinking I wasnt feeling well. My family agreed it was over it the worst Italian platters we had ever tasted. We didnt enjoy the ambiance, or the food. Were will not return. This was our second try at this establishment.
Appitizers where good..service wasnt great.. I happened to get the 20oz steak and about 8oz of it was fat..cook doesnt know the difference in how to make a steak rare to medium rare..they dont do refills on beverages(what place doesnt do refills!!? Even lascas does refills).ordered a beer for my steak...they broght me the wrong beer..only sides they offer is a scoop of potatoes or pasta..comes with a salad but it was just like the bag salads you can buy at Aldi for 99 cents and they only put a dalop of dressing on it...if you like disappointment go here

No review, but trying to figure out how a previous reviewer could have had lunch when the restaurants website says it isnt open during lunchtime. (The low rating is for a restaurant that either doesnt update its website, or isnt interested in communicating well with potential customers - looking for lunch possibilities for a club luncheon in September in Auburn and Im having a tough time finding places that ARE open during the noon hour!)
Food speaks for itself, always delicious and large portions. Plan on bringing some home. All of the staff are professional and friendly and most of all attentative to their customers regardless of how busy they are. Try it you will love it.

HUGE portions of food, and absolutely delicious! The only complaint is they do not have free refills on fountain beverages. To be able to provide such large food portions and not a free refill on soda is odd to me.

Its your typical OLD FAMILY restaurant nothing has been done to it since 1970s its dark, dreary, smells like cleaning solution. The wait staff is just as old as the restaurant. I ordered the Delmonico steak and they sent out an over cooked NY strip sent it back they came back with an way under sirloin I gave up. My bride ordered the stuffed shrimp they use popcorn shrimp for that, theyre not big enough to stuff it all tasted frozen. It was our 1st trip there and most likely our last.
Made a reservation in April at 7:30 for 15 people to celebrate a graduation, 1 day before are reservation takes place I receive a call Im sorry we will not be honoring your reservation upon asking why the said we dont want to stay past 9 oclock upon telling them some of the people were elderly and injured and guaranteeing we would be leaving before 9 they merely said sorry were not risking it absolutely pathetic and lazy people working in this restaurant, Ill never be returning and hopefully no one else does
Great Italian food at a reasonable price. Staff is very friendly and always make your visit enjoyable. Family always goes here for the holidays and will continue for some time.

Went to Hollywood with friends for Mothers Day. Most of our mothers have passed away I am the only mother they was there. The rest are just friends who do not have children.

2022-05-09Mothers Day Lunch.We had lost a reservation at another local establishment due to them over booking their dining room and I was notified a week before Mothers Day so you can imagine the panic. We had resigned ourselves that we would need to order takeout catering so I called without much hope but I spoke with a very friendly and patient gentleman who was willing to work with me! As we were speaking he asked how many were in our party and I advised 11. He said if we were willing to come at the beginning of service he could accommodate us in house!We showed up a bit early and were immediately seated in a lovely dining area with plenty of space for us to spread out and not be on top of each other. The Hostess was very friendly and our waitress Karen was absolutely outstanding! Our appetizers and soups/salads were quick to arrive and delicious! The childrens menu portions were generous as were the sizes of the adult mains. The veal was excellent as was the prime rib and steaks that were ordered and they were cooked perfectly! I do have to call out the chicken parmesan because it was HUGE! Tender and juicy it filled the entire plate and I highly recommend it!Overall we had a lovely Mothers Day meal and I would recommend The Hollywood to anyone in the Auburn area who has not dined here!

2022-05-15Seriously! please don’t think this is high end food. Wayyy to expensive for the Quality. 70$ for take out for 2 people. I live 3 minutes walking distance from here and I would rather go 30 minutes away for something else. Please don’t go here. Staff was super nice but food sucks and it was way to expensive.

2021-06-04What an awesome dinner we had at The Hollywood last night and the waitress Honey was top notch. She recommended the house signature dish Chicken Parmesan and it was the best I ever had, no lie! The thing was HUGE and cooked perfectly. My partner ordered a NYStrip steak that was very tasty and tender. We will be back for sure..... Thanks again Honey for your outstanding service!
