I have been taking my car here for about 4 years. They have helped me with problems big and small. Always professional & quick, reasonable prices- they have even done small things for me for free on multiple occasions. Im so grateful to have a trusted mechanic in the area.
Incredible service. I had to come in for an oil change and inspection today with a 2016 Jeep Wrangler and when I got there it was really crowded. I thought for sure I was screwed as I had to go to a socially distance graduation party in an hour in BK. However the one thing I realized about Holy Land auto is that they are very organized. They had me in and out in 20 minutes. Very friendly, but not overly chatty. For me, thats great. Time is money in any service business.
They are basically doctors except their patients are cars! Extremely professional and straight to the point. My husband often tells me to junk my car, but Joe always gets it up and running again! I definitely recommend getting your car fixed here. Quality work at decent prices and friendly faces you cant go wrong!
These guys are some of the most conscientious and fair mechanics in Brooklyn. I’ve tried other garages closer to my house in the area, but keep coming back to Holy Land. They have always done great work and have even fixed small things for me without charge, multiple times, and turn the work around quickly. I’ve compared pricing with other garages and they are always competitive.
I always get nervous going to a repair place.Yet, every time Im here, even though I mention some issues with the car, Joe often tells me I can ignore something or let it wait. They are honest and do fine work for far less than the dealership (BMW) would charge I recommend them highly.
From VA and had an accident in Brooklyn during Memorial Day Weekend. No outward damage, but the car wouldnt drive correctly. Owner took my car in on memorial day, fixed it within 2 hours for a fair price. Straight talker, excellent mechanic and very very fair and reasonable prices. Really was a life saver that day, because everyone else was close and he opened up to take care of me. I was on the road later that day with no problems.
I had a transmission leak and, i didnt want to go to any old mechanic repair shop. I looked up top rated repair shops in Brooklyn and, this was the 1st result. After reading the reviews i decided to bring my Nissan Altima over to them. The service was great. I explained the problem and, he looked and, confirmed what was a leak from the transmission near the radiator line. Easy fix. 1 1/2 hours later my car was fixed and, it hasnt leaked since. The price of the repair was not to bad. It was affordable. Will come back for all repair needs.
A Firestone mechanic told me I needed my exhaust manifold replaced -- upwards of $300 repair. There was no visible hole and through some online research I determined that it was more likely to be the manifold gasket. So I bought a new gasket and took it to Holyland. They booked me for repair on the spot and had the new gasket installed by the next morning. Problem solved and no need for a new manifold. Only $150 at Holyland for a couple hours of work. Very quick, helpful, and honest.
Amazing service. After being told by four other area garages that they did not have time to do my vehicle inspection I just happened to drive by this garage. I stopped in and asked them if they could do it and even though they looked pretty full they agreed. Within less than an hour the car was inspected and ready to go. Abdul was super friendly and made the whole experience a seamless one for me. Ill be back again. Highly recommend!

These guys are great. I went there to have my 7 year old car inspected. It has maybe 20,000 miles on it, but I feared taking it in, as somehow it always costs me $250+ and I feel ripped off.I dropped it off around 2pm and they called me an hour later and said the brake pads needed replacing. The year before, another inspection station (that sadly closed) had told me that the brake pads just passed, so I trusted Holy Land.I asked how much and how soon and they said $120 and it would be done in an hour.Fantastic! Even though I live in Manhattan (the city of surly rip off mechanics), I will go back to Holy Land again.PS: They are right near the R train at Union St, which makes it convenient.
I brought my car here about a month ago based on the good reviews for an oil change and valve cover gaskets replacement. The job was completed in two days and everyone I talked to was responsive and helpful. The day after I picked up my car, I noticed on the highway that the car was very slow to accelerate and would struggle to keep up at 60 mph. This is a turbocharged car that is normally very zippy and responsive.I brought the car back to the shop and asked them to check it over, as it could not be coincidental that they performed an engine-intensive repair and that the engine response was dramatically different afterwards. They held onto my car for a full week, with little in the way of updates without me having to call repeatedly. After a week, they told me that the turbo seems to have blown because they checked over their work and everything seemed fine and stated they didnt touch the turbo. I researched my car and estimates to replace the turbo and determined that it was an incredibly intensive repair because if the turbo blew then the engine was likely damaged from metal shavings in the cylinders, and every mile driven would bring it closer to catastrophic failure. As such, I took the car back and sold it as a parts car.I learned today from the buyer, who took the car apart, that the mechanics put a shop rag in the turbo inlet, presumably while working on the car, and FORGOT TO TAKE IT OUT BEFORE PUTTING IT BACK TOGETHER. How they didnt check this when they had the car for an entire week, I do not understand.Lessons Ive learned: 1. You cant trust this shops work despite the good reviews. 2. Always get a second opinion.
As a small family business owner, I refer customers to bring their trust here. With mutual clients and a great business relationship for over two decades I have no hesitation in highly recommending Holy Land for all your automotive mechanical installations. They are very resourceful and competitive for affordability in the neighborhood.
If you’re not taking your car here for regular maintenance, repairs, or small body work you are wasting your time and money. They run this shop like a clock and are friendly to a point of suspicion. But your suspicion is only bc you have no idea how to fix a car. These guys will explain to you exactly what they are going to do (with options), how much it’s going to cost and when the car will be ready. They will not perform any work w/o your permission. Fantastic shop, guys you can trust!
A little story about how these guys operate: My battery cable and connector was so corroded it actually turned to dust and fell apart. I was stranded in a parking lot down in south Brooklyn. I called the Holy Land number at 6:15PM on a Friday not expecting an answer. The owner himself answered.. got in his car.. and drove to meet me.. and he helped me get my truck drivable. I dropped it at his shop Friday night. By 10am Saturday morning I picked up the truck, new cable, new battery (Deka model, very high quality) and to put the icing on the cake the bill was very fair. You just dont find places like this anymore. You just dont.
Reliability, trustworthiness and fair prices are hard to find in the auto repair business. Holy Land is one of the neighborhood goto places when we need repairs or annual inspections. Call ahead of time to make an appointment as they get quite busy and there are very limited spots for extra autos.
I showed up here mid-afternoon (unannounced) on a Saturday to see if they might be able to do the NYS car inspection. I was pleasantly surprised when they said they could do it on the spot and it only took 1 hour to complete. The gentleman I delt with was kind and professional. I will be coming back when my car needs actual service.
Thank you, thank you, and once again THANK YOU!!!! Whilst having multiple vehicles being serviced at your shop, you managed to repair mine in roughly 3 hours while I took care of errands. You should consider changing your name to the HOLY GRAIL auto repair, just a thought😀😀😀😀!!!! Now I dont have to drive back to reality (aka Ithaca) with a busted ass wheel bearing. I dont wanna go dont make me. I wanna stay home😭😭😭😭😭
THESE GUYS LIVE UP TO THEIR NAME.I had a bad alternator on a Saturday afternoon and was not looking forward to what appeared to be my only option through AAA - getting towed to Manhattan and waiting until Monday for a repair. These guys came and found me on a side street, rigged up a portable battery charger and I was able to drive to their station for a new alternator which they completed in a few hours. It was a little bit of a wild ride driving through Brooklyn with the hood partially up and a big charger sitting on the engine with leads attached to the battery, street fairs going on, speed bumps, etc., but it was worth it. It was a life saver since I live a distance away and had a child at home alone.

2020-02-12Just take Care!I paid more than $800.oo dollars to repair a misfire on the engine. Very weird but I paid. They said I will have 6 warranty months about it, but 15 days later I still have the same trouble.I went yesterday and the owner Joe said:- Oh, Im sorry: Go to another mechanic because Im not specialist in this kind of brands... So...Where are the 6 months Warranty? What they did with my $800.oo dollars?...I have Video, Audio records, Invoices and Pictures...Just take care when you think to go there.🤙🏼

2021-06-09I brought my SUV to Holy Land after getting in an accident because it was the closest shop to where I was. I am so fortunate this was the closest shop. Joe was amazing to work with from the very beginning. He communicated well with me and my insurance, kept me updated on the progress and had the car ready on time. He did fantastic work and the car looks better then before the crash. I highly recommend this shop to anyone in need of service!!

2021-03-04Fair prices and very good work. Ive been bringing my cars here since my first (a 1991 Lincoln boat) and the next two. I send my family to these guys if they dont want to pay through the nose at the dealer. Just had my girlfriends car done there, saved at least 500 on minor body work and it looks better than before it got dinged. Honest dudes, honest timeline when you drop it off.

2020-09-09Holy Land is my go-to shop and a trust-worthy, efficient, and friendly auto repair business. I have been seeing them for 2-3 years for a number of services for my old (but still alive and kicking) Toyota Rav 4. They are always honest in their assessments and very quick and effective when I get work done. I was recommended to this shop by a friend and so glad I started seeing Holy Land for my car needs. Highly recommend!

2020-09-20Joe will take good care of you. Prices seem to be 20-30% lower than the garage I used to go to in Chelsea (my car is a 2010 Volvo w 190,000 miles so Im in the shop a lot) and the work here is always quality. Definitely recommend.

2021-04-24Beware. I went here for an auto inspection. They failed me and told me they wanted to charge $400 for new brake pads and rotors. I decided to go to a friends shop for a second opinion. My brakes were low but he told me they shouldnt have failed me and did the job for $250. Not sure if they tried to charge me more due to my sex or race, but something felt very off when I visited them.
