HomeGoods in other cities:
Had only one cashier on at 9:30 am and she wasnt in any hurry to cash people out.The line was getting long and we were just standing and waiting.I left my things and went home.Craziest thing was there were other people working that maybe could have helped for a little bit to get the line moving but what do I know.
This is a great place if you are looking for crafty, quality, home products. They offer a variety of products that range from cooking supplies to bath and bedroom furniture and everything in between. There is always a new selection of home decor and the prices often beat competitor stores.
I have only one complaint about this Homegoods in Amherst, New York. The lines are most times so long and they dont have a express lane which makes it mean for people who only have a few items and have to wait for the people who have cart fulls. Most times I end up putting stuff down that I wanted to buy cause I dont want to stand in line for an hour, that sucks! Other then that Homegoods is my favorite store!!
Ive been to a few TJ Max Homegood places and their cashiers lack training. We tried to return items at more than on location with receipts and some how it takes 20 mins. It really shouldnt be that difficult. With a receipt they tried to give us store credit and didnt know how to reverse it. Retraining or new employees is very much needed. Only buy items that are guaranteed to keep and not want to return.
I am a long time Home goods/Maxx/Marshalls shopper. This store has gone downhill. Its too crammed with stuff lately and I run across a lot of unpriced stuff, its sometimes hard to find an associate and it takes them time to figure out a price.Lately, they seem very understaffed also. You have to wait anywhere from 20-45m to get through the line which is just not acceptable.
Parked in handicspped spot right in front of the doors only to learn I then had to walk to Tjmax and enter. Thisis no small fete without a cart to hold onto. Upon entry Ihad to findmywzy to the home goods entrance. Peolle were coming and going between the stores....no social distancing rules being applied. Direction arrows poiinted in the way you should walk.... noone thought they applied to them and this included the staff as well. One staff member, young woman about 55 long blond hair was hurridly stocking shelves and ran into me 3 times... rolling her eyes of course. I let her know the arrows are for everyones health and she rolled her eyes. This was apparent throughout the store. I was going to purchase an exercise bike, a loveseat and a table which I finally found someone to put up by the registers for me and he wasnt pleased that I asked him.....instead I left and went shopping elsewhere.
I found this store too cluttered and hard to find what I was looking for. I could not find any staff to help me either. I could not get my shopping buggy down most of the aisles. I waited 25 minutes in the checkout line. Some people actually gave up waiting. Not a good experience and not worth the stress.
There is a Iine out front that moves fairly well. However once inside you realize the 210 shopper limit is reached not because there are too many shoppers in the isles but because most of them are waiting in the checkout line that wraps from the front of the registers along the mid-wall to the back of the TJ Max side of the stores.
Worst place to shop for anything!!!!!! Our friends bought a gift for the kids from this location and gave the gift receipt too. Went to a nearby Home Goods store first to return they denied said this product belongs to TJ Maxx. Then I went to TJMAXX to return and they gave me the same response. Basically the receipt from this store was unacceptable at any home goods and TJMAXX.Guess what when I call them they ask me to drive down 20 miles to return a gift worth $12.The staff was not at all courteous and did not even try to solve the problem. So basically if someone would buy from here and gift to someone in Florida with gift receipt, then its of no use because their receipt is of no use to any of the other store. Hopeless service!!!!!!!
Its a great place to buy unique home decor pieces. The staff are usually helpful. I had a staff member help me look around for a matching candle votive until I found it. I thgt the was above and beyond. The selections are amazing thid is a great place to go for wedfing gifts or house warming gifts. Never over crowded and always a great selection from rugs ,faux plants to dinnerware. Must visit to see exactly what I mean. The aelevtion of lamps and area rugs are out of this world. U will find something that catches ur eye young or old.

2022-03-16Alissa is amazing, professional and attentive!! I live over an hour away. I called this store because, my friend was in need of 4 more specific picture frames. As centerpieces for her future bridal shower. Sold out everywhere else. Alissa took the time to dig through new inventory, the following morning and succeeded! Made my day and a happy bride to be. Thank you Alissa for going above and beyond. Really appreciate it~you.

2021-09-08I would love to give this store five stars because the selection is good and the prices are great. But they lose two stars because the aisles are usually blocked with carts of new merchandise and the LINES. Omg. So this is a random Wednesday afternoon in September. School is underway, the holidays are still a couple months out, but the line is still literally halfway to the back of the store. And this is pretty much how it always is. The line moves quickly but I’m still looking at a 20+ minute wait to make a return. There’s no separate/dedicated return spot, which is super annoying.

2022-02-23Abysmal. Simply came in to make a quick return, but the line was halfway to the back of the store. I will now have to come back at a different time which is extremely inconvenient. Sorry I don’t have hours to wait in a line to return a 12$ item. I will never shop here again. Why isn’t there a dedicated return stop? I will be contacting the company.

2021-12-28Order 5 boards for the holidays… can’t say enough good things about the quality the cutting boards. Can’t say enough good things about the purposefulness of the people behind this operation. So exceeded any and all expectations! Well done!
