HomeGoods in other cities:
Discrimination against minoritiesties🙄 I had been living in this neighborhood since 2012 and I experienced this situation twice one with Tjmaxx across the street and yesterday with Homegoods the next time one of your security follows me around will record and use your stores. Im tired thats why I cancel my store credit card I wont somebody money when I feel like being harassed. I have come to the store plenty of times yesterday I decided to go to look for shelf liners and look at the clearance section for my new apartment. The security follows me around the store even to the exit if you dont want Spanish people shopping there then you are out of luck there are many people of different nationalities in this area. Is this the type of training they are receiving? I worked security for the UN and it looks like this training is coming from the higher up🙄 people of color stay away from these stores
My fiance and I shopped there two weeks ago. Shes 9 months pregnant and got pickpocketed - her iphone was stolen. We started looking around the store to find her phone and within a minute found another lady with a kid and stroller who also just got pickpocketed. The staff looked at the cameras and saw a lady leaving with other items at the same time - she seemed like the culprit. The manager said if we want to see the footage, wed need a police report so we called the cops. The cops came and said they needed the footage in order to find the police report but the store wouldnt give unless we had the police report. We were caught in a Catch 22. I came back to Homegoods a few days later to purchase an item we liked and couldnt find it, nor was staff readily available to help. As I left, I saw another young lady complaining to a manager that her phone was stolen. Theyre either looking the other way, or someone is in on it, or they need better security (maybe some combination of these). Suffice to say, it was definitely not a good experience and the staff were not very helpful.
Home Goods is one of the best shops in Manhattan for high quality kitchen and household items, including pots and pans, bed sheets, blankets, pillows, curtains, decorative items, rugs, dinner plates, silverware, lamps, rugs, furniture and gourmet foods. The Columbus Avenue store in Manhattans Upper West Side is on two levels, with the larger area downstairs via an escalator or elevator. You can spend hours here dreaming of items to buy.And directly across the street is a TJMaxx, which owns Home Goods. You can spend a lot of time here shopping for essentials or looking at items you want to get later. The prices are very reasonable, and there is usually a crowd of people, particularly on weekends.
First time going to Home Goods and I had a nice shopping experience. I set my budget at $100 dollars. I walked out with scented candles as gifts, decorations for my door, gift bags for the decorative mugs and faux plants. All the items I plan on giving as gifts. I will return to Home Goods to see what I can find after Christmas, to see what I rack items up for me.
This place is absolutely amazing! 🤩 HomeGoods has an endless collection of household items ⚱️, furniture 🛋️, and home decorations! 🏠 This store 🏬 has everything you need to decorate you home 🏡 at an extremely affordable cost 🏷️! They have two floors filled with great home goods 🖼️ - worth just browsing around 🔍! Staff is super nice and helpful! I wish knew about this place earlier!
I went into Home Goods a few weeks ago for the first time! Loved wandering around and looking at everything! Found HUGE candles for $10 (obviously got a few) and then came upon a beautiful green armchair, also purchased! But this review is truly for worker Jeffrey (w the creepy but hilarious clown mask). When I first saw him he was cheerful, politely asking people without masks to cover their faces (SO appreciated), and helping a family choose/take down/and professionally wrap up a large rug. He allowed me to interrupt his flow to request his assistance w me and the green armchair. Within minutes, he met me on the main floor w the armchair ready to go! He continued to go above and beyond when he came out to the street w me and made sure my item fit into a car (we had a few attempts) and could safely get back to my apt.Needless to say, this guy needs a salute! He was so hard working, polite, FAST, and so enjoyable to be around and helped by! Thank you Jeffrey!!
Ok... I really like the location and the products. Price is slightly higher than Id like but its a good selection. If corporate is listening...I think its time to communicate with your staff about efficiency and customer satisfaction being important. They (staff and management) move at a glacial pace. Managers lack authority and considering the little employee discount, seem uninspired to make the visiting customers happy. If you to shop here be prepared to spend time on the lines. Staff is friendly but really slow.
I really do love HomeGoods; they just have so many things I want! I have to restrict myself otherwise I would buy what I cant afford, even though their prices are the best I know. Now they only hold things for 2 hours unless you pay first; and they havent had any .99 shopping bags (but I have!)I also find it a good place to buy gifts. If anyone knows me and would like to give me a gift, Id really appreciate a gift card! Thanks.
HomeGoods is my happy place man. I mean they dont always have enough people on the registers but thats like literally the only drawback. You cant beat the prices the whole place smells nice if youre a single woman that works long hours go to HomeGoods. It is a good place to relax and take in some beautiful things that you actually can afford.
Home goods is a great place to find home goods you dont find anywhere and inexpensive. Beautiful home decorations that are impressive for home and gift giving. I love, love, love shopping there. Nice place to spend time looking at everything. Clean, some have theme, etc. Go.... I think u will like it.
Excellent store!I was pleasantly surprised. The ground floor is mostly decorative pieces. But underground, the store is huge and includes tables, chairs, rugs, dressers, bedding, mirrors, picture frames, vases, kitchen goods, candles, pet supplies, lamps and pretty much anything else you could possibly ever need for your home, and all at reasonable prices.I love HomeGoods, they have such unique pieces.
Best place to shop always for items to add flavor to your home. Bed Bath Beyond is good too but HomeGoods rocks!!!! Good for college students, children, & adults alike looking to update their homes/apartments for half the price. I must warn you. If you see something you truly like, buy it immediately! It doesnt stay there for ever!
This store is Amazing. My friends think Im Rich, lol. The items are beautiful, great quality, bargain prices. The shelves are always fully stocked! Staff is Super helpful & friendly. You get a pot, you get a pot, you get a pot, lol ( Oprah) Happy retail treasure hunting😊
I love having HomeGoods so close by. Great place to buy cheaper dishware. I cant say that I love the set up of the store, but space is limited in Manhattan and they definitely did the best they could with the space. When I do go here, I make sure to not pay downstairs, the checkout line is just too long.
The music is Extremely to loud I couldnt hear myself think. And they closed the register down stairs early and oh my God the wait. For them to ring the line was crazy. And the manager said its because to many call outs. I said to myself is he really serious so we suffer. But the cashier was wonderful shes an older woman. I think she was on reg number 4 but she was awesome. Or number 3 bit she has been there a long time but it was great due to her making a uncomfortable experience turn out to be great. Ill come back to shop again
A great place to buy cheap stuff for your home, if you dont want to have the best quality. You can find some really good stuff here, but you need to look really hard for them. Most of the store was just a mess with piles of stuff that the workers dont seem to care enough to put in the right place. But if you dont mind the mess, you can find some nice things there. Just clean it before you use it first...
Most of the workers in this store seem to be unprofessional, rude and just useless. I had a ton of stuff once and I went to grab a cart and the employee told me I can’t have it she’s using it. I left everything and walked out. I have never once in the years coming to this location have found an employee that was helpful and eager to help. If you need help looking for something just skip this location all together and just head on over to the bklyn store or one of the stores in NNJ.
I was there they have, good item but the problem was, they have a lot of bunnies and take almost all the store, I went to pick up some item for my living room table and the better things they have are spensive the rest are litle bit ok and BUNNIES EVERY WEEEERRRRREEEEEE!
I went there to look at the curtains. Didnt get the chance to because their elevator was out of service. I asked an employee if there were an other way to go downstairs with a stroller. She said no, she didnt apologize, didnt smile and didnt let me use the escalator. Totally unfriendly. Disappointing. I wont be back in this store.
If only these places were better organized! Can very often find a steal here if you are willing to look for it. Great deals on glassware and serving ware. Generally can find the same merchandise across locations (and at home sense) so if I need to stock pile, I buy things here and on Long Island. I feel like prices might be a tad higher in the Manhattan store (found a bowl that I bought accidentally chipped in Patchogue for a couple of bucks more) but nothing prohibitive by any means.Return policy is good making it easy to try things at home or see if you can supplement a collection at other locations or have to buy something different. Great for season touches, stocking stuffers and snacks as well.
The place is an utter mess specifically downstairs where most of the merchandise is (upstairs is kept clean for window-shoppers). Not to mention a lot of the merchandise is damaged (dented garbage cans, broken toilet paper holders etc...). The store is so bad i would rather order from Amazon and wait the 2 days then walk down the street and bother with this place.
Surprisingly this store is not as messy as the other T.J. Maxx and home goods stores that I’ve visited. Now they have stuff for the home that you may need but a lot of their stuff is overpriced. I only visit if I need something and the price is right other than that, Amazon is the way to go.
Horrible store! Store looks like junk, trashy, messy and unrecovered. Half the items have no price, others are dirty and damaged and they refuse to discount damaged goods. Ive seen cleaner, more organized merchandise at flea markets. Morale is clearly terrible, customer service is cold and unfriendly and if you ask for assistance they act like you are interrupting their day and just point, often without even speaking. Im a seasoned retail manager and have always loved shopping at Home Goods, but this sore is BROKEN! Stop scrimp in on payroll and staff sufficiently to have full time recovery in all departments. Get stockers trained to look up prices and ensure everything is priced. Get rid of damaged goods and treat employees with value and respect so they will be happy to work there. Some re-traini in customer service and Standards of Excellence would be a good idea. This is the worst Home Goods store I have ever seen. You need to fix it.
So hard to get out of this place without buying something*!!! I joke with my wife about being dragged in here, but I always find food items (pasta sauces, mustards, oils, vinegars, etc) to try. Prices are good, selection changes nearly every day, so if you see something you like you should buy it right away as it may be gone tomorrow.Go earlier in the day if you can, as the store is in much better array - once customers get ahold of merch and then discard it in another it can get a bit messy, but the staff is constantly working to get everything back where it belongs!Special shout-out to the person at the register who helped us out today, Kaminita. She wrapped our fragile items carefully, rang everything up, answered questions from others, and answered the phone, and never lost a beat with us. Kudos to being so agile and friendly!!
A TJX (TJMaxx, Marshalls sister store that specializes in home goods from kitchenware, bath and bedroom ware, decor and specialty food items, like condiments, olive oil and gourmet items with a few natural products. The prices are always discounted, they take TJMaxx/Marshalls gift cards, and you dont know what they have until you look. Worth looking if youre passing by.
Long lines and unhelpful staff. I know its the holidays but I waited on line for 30 minutes. While on line I asked for a price on an item that didnt have a tag. They told me wait until the front of the line where I was asked to step aside and wait until 15 minutes to get a price. Worst customer service ever.
Homegoods has a great selection of quality products for the home and an affordable price point. They carry a variety of bedding selections which I especially like. Conveniently located a few blocks away from the 1/2/3 96th street stop, this is the only Homegoods location in Manhattan. Whats even better is that they deliver! Definitely recommend checking this out if youre looking to spruce up your place!

2021-11-08This place is absolutely amazing. This place is my new favorite to buy house and gifting items. This has a beautiful collection of everything starting from cutlery to chocolate to furniture to home decor. There are a whole lot of gifting options including shot glasses and pretty printed bowls and all items are unbelievably cheap. Wish I had known about this place when I was setting up my house. Nonetheless, an absolute gem! Definitely recommend to visit this place in this festive season.

2022-03-08Clean and organized. Staff very pleasant. I went on a Monday so not too crowded. I love the prices for dog treats and toys. I went this time for sheets, pillows and curtains. Had a great selection of very good sheets but the pillows and curtains were lacking a bit. However you know these types of store are hit or miss. I will try again next week the hunt continues lol.

2022-05-12Love Home Goods anywhere. Always find unique items. This time I purchased 2 chairs. I barnyard modern chic TV stand and a Michael Kohrs kitchen cabinet. The salesman helping even waited while I flagged down a taxi van.

2022-05-18AMAZING DEALS! Only downside is the staff is so hyper-focused on restocking and talking to each other that you could drop dead in an aisle and they’d probably just step over you, or run you over. Forget about having a question, or needing help with one of their 300lb petrified wood tables for less than $200! Lol

2020-02-13Superb selection of unique goods for your home and gifts for your friends at affordable prices. Holidays are a must at HG. Found pillows that are similar toones at Pottery Barn (3 times less the sticker price at HG)There is always something for everyone. I would recommend coming early( open at 9am on weekdays) on Wednesday’s or Thursday’s when they get new truckload. My experience has been that if I find something I like, I will get it, because might not find it ever. Easy return, keep your receipts! Got some great sheets and towels on red sticker sale. Long lines and crowds could be a killer .
