The service here is provided by gentlemen of great patience. I should know. I spent two hours with one of them, trying to find the perfect sneaker to encase my bumpy, arthritic feet. He never wavered in his enthusiasm to make sure that I was satisfied and comfortable.You need an appointment during the pandemic, but expect a wait if a customer before you is being given the same consideration. You will be happy when its your turn.

I have been buying shoes from here for ages.My son , husband and I love the quality of the shoes and the great friendly service you receive. No problems ever. You can even take your shoes back and have them fix the support in them free of charge. We have feet and spine issues and like to look good at the same time. Best place to go for both.

If you are at the point where you need to pay attention to your feet then Hooks is worth visiting. The best part of this place is the knowledge, service and expertise of the staff. They will not rush to get to you, but they will spend all the time in the world once you are with them. High quality shoes, orthodic insoles and they work with your insurance. Loved the care I got and the money I invested in my feet.
Best orthopedic store around! Appointments help gurantee a one to onr experience witj a focus on quality and comfort! My parents swore by this place....I was too cool to ever go! This is the only place I will go to when I need a good pair of shoes. The personal attention is worth the wait! They rake the time to measure you perfectly, make sure they know what you want, and then bring you styles like, and mostly like,what you described. I make the trip from Erie just to go there!

Staff friendly and extremely helpful. Willing to make adjustments to inserts at anytime. They work in tandem with the orthopedic surgeon to make sure your healing process is as painless as possible.

I got some heel lifts here and it was a fairly quick and easy experience. There was a bit of a wait but they routinely came by and checked and apologized for the wait.Sometimes you have to wait, and thats fine, but I appreciate the effort they put in to make sure that I knew I wasnt forgotten in a corner.
Excellent caring service. Hooks is all about giving you the best fit! Worth every penny. Anyone, young and old, with foot issues can be helped by their caring and knowledgable staff. They help people with no arches, high arches, meterarsal pain, bunions, diabetic needs, heel pain, toe pain. You name it they can help customize the shoe to fit your foot needs. Been buying shoes there for 10 years.
Hooks they take all the time you need to get the proper fit I was there 2 hrs salesman had no problem building my shoes til they were comfortable with no pain. I am diabetic with imflamation of my Achilles tendon very painful but not with my Nu Balance sneakers built up this is the only brand they sell and you cant find them anywhere else
Great service! Some may complain that their prices are excessive, but you get what you pay for as Hooks does not sell disposable shoes. The shoes they sell are meant to last and when worn are meant to be rebuilt by a competent cobbler.
They fix any foot pain u have with their orthopedics inserts . They adjust them according to whatever issue or pain you have in feet. ! Been a customer for years!

I have been a satisfied customer of Hook’s Shoe Repair for several years. However, I will never cross the threshold of that store again after being spoken to so rudely by the manager. He was condescending and disrespectful.

So far so good. Better than the expensive orthotics from Good Feet Store. Actually feeling some better after only a week, and wearing to l the other guys orthotics most of 2 years.

Most expensive shoe liners I ever bought but helped me get rid of my plantar fascia (spelled right?) For some reason I keep the liners even though I am healed now.

I didnt get to visit this place after a phone call and being told requirements by New York state but only for the area I live in Western New York. New York State Medicare has made it too complicated to get a badly-needed pair of orthopedic shoes by placing residents of Erie County in some sort of bidding process that New York City residence do not have to do the shoes that currently have have holes in them and the weather is getting bad

2022-05-13I’m in the market for new shoes and the reviews were good so I checked them out. Paul assisted me and he was awesome. Got me fitted and gave me his expertise on multiple shoes. Will definitely be back

2022-07-17About a month ago I called Hooks Shoes asking about ortho inserts. The man said yes , but I would need an appointment. 10 days later a arrived at Hooks at my appointed time. The man then told me that I needed an RX. So I went to my Doctor and called Hooks again for a new Appointment. The man said I didnt need an appointment . So I arrived first thing Friday morning with my RX in hand. Now I was asked if I have insurance . I said yes gave the insurance woman my card and told her Ive bought inserts twice before with my Insurance with a small deductible. She told me I had a 5000.00 deductible and I should call the insurance company myself because it would take her an hour or more. So I left Hooks shoes. Later that day I called my insurance company as told. This 4 minute call confirmed my inserts are covered and that I have a small deductible NOT 5000.00! So now im sure I have everything I need except the desire to return too Hooks Shoes .

The staff here are knowledgeable, not only in shoes, but in foot care as well. Our salesman, Larry P., was absolutely wonderful! Hes attentive, friendly, and really listened to me. He asked questions to make sure he could assist me with all my shoe needs. I felt like I was more than just a sale to him. 2021-11-11My 89 year old Dad needed new shoes for balance and he fought us tooth and nail. Paul Giglio, our sales associate, was excellent and I hope to work with him in the future. He was patient, listened carefully to both me and my Dad. He went out of his way selecting samples until we found a great fit. An example of a completely successful interaction.

2021-12-02What a difference. Someone actually measures your foot and fits the shoe to you. They specialize in shoes for people with special needs, like those needing extra support their job requires them to stand all day. I did a quick check and their prices are the same as Amazon, so you might as well go here and get something that you know will absolutely fit.
