We bought an 18 foot, oak table (12 leaves) and chairs and a bench from Hornings probably 20 years ago and we still use it all the time. These are honest folks and the product is amazing and stands the test of time. We now live far away but are planning to come back to Penn Yan just to get another table in a new style. Well give our old one to one of our (now adult) children. What memories, friends, family, and strangers we have had around our beautiful table. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate that we were able to buy such a well made product at such an affordable price back then. Cant wait to work with them again ASAP.

A friend told me about Hornings, 18 years ago. Since that time we have ordered more furniture than I can remember. To mention a few dining room table, chairs, bed*, dresser* (*he now defers this work to his son), end tables... Alvin Horning is a wonderful, honest person. You cant buy furniture of this quality no matter what the price. Prices are less than the quality furniture stores. All items are be custom made. As an example he made a 3x5 quarter sawn oak dinning room table with 13 leaves. We ordered 12, 12 leaves and Alvin supplied the last which he cut down to 11 1/2so it would fit. Fully opened the table measures a 1/2 under 18.Further weve recommended him to family and friends. They are all now loyal customers.

The furniture that they sell is well built and made in the US. The price is reasonable for the excellent quality that you get. We bought a recliner and 10 dining room chairs and could not be happier.
