Hotel Caribe in New York
Place is in good location …. But unfortunately this place is horrible … I tried to stay last night I couldn’t it’s was dirty, weird people with door rooms open , give me 3rd floor no elevator and u have to go up like 4flights …. No thank u,.. don’t come to this place … is more like a crack house … change the name ..SMH … I paid $115 not worth
They have shared bathrooms!!! One of them was out of order and the other one I had to hood rig the shower to get hot water!!!! The room I was in the top window was broken and lets not talk about the mystery brown stuff that was on the hallway floor!!! Dont go here it was horrible
THIS IS THE WORST PLACE TO STAY AT. I took a nap there and my body broke out in HIVES. I cannot stress this enough DO NOT STAY HERE. If you are reading this, go back and look at other places to stay it. Don’t even consider this place. Im writing this while covered in hives literally.
Service has seriously declined. I gave this place 5 stars in the past due to staff pleasant and professional demeanor. Well maintained rooms etc. This was not the case during our last visit. Staff were rude and behaved as though they were offering free lodging...speaking of which, rates posted is not was actually charged at this cash only operation. We contacted the front desk to keep the room an additional day as my hubby and I stay at these locations when visiting the city. Long story short the person answering the phone who barely spoke English told us nothing was available. Upon checkout this was not the case. Every disappointment is truly a blessing we logged on to trivago and snagged Hotel Wellington for $120. Skip this place you can find better places with comparable rates online. Im done.

Honestly I’ve been using Hotel Caribe on and off for almost 4 years now. Never had a outrageous complaint. My only complaints were about the remote and it was fixed. I do wish more overnight rooms are available on the lower floors but honestly it’s a very great motel in a great area. Affordable which is a MAJOR PLUS as a MYC native.
Cheap hotel but clean i would recommend for some one who just need to sleep for the night or a quick night cap with your lil boo thang
The hotel was pretty cool. In a good location. Pretty clean and the employees were very discreet. The room had a full size bed. You can choose to have a communal bathroom or a room with a bathroom.
Room was clean a little small but clean. They have little breakfast pastries on your way out upon checkout all in all it was a lretty good experience (very affordable and vacancies available for wknd overnights)
The woman at the front desk was rude. There never any change for big bills. She let me know she was going to fix me. Little did I know she gave me a room on the top floor with no elevator. UNACCEPTABLE. The bed spread had cigarette burns.
🏩Very cheap ., affordable. Fairly comfortable. There is a very amazing Caribbean restaurant right down stairs 😋 and it’s smacked down a block from 🌃broadway 🚕. I love it . The area has many stores and restaurants. Complimentary 🥐 pastries and coffee ☕️ in the morning. No elevator though . And it goes up 4 flights. Good luck 👍🏽
This hotel had rude front desk hung up on trying to ask for price. Lady need to be let off her job I was gonna book still. Called back she hung up on me 5:00 I called shes not worth to work with people.
Room with bathroom is very small but it was clean. Sheets, bed, and bath. $120 for 6 hrs and bathroom included. Just someplace to hide at. It wasnt the best but it wasnt the worst either.
Me and lady came to this hotel to have a good time. We did have a good time but, as we checked into the room on the 2nd floor. 30 minutes later a staff member knocks on my door telling me I need to check out. Dude I just checked in!!! Pure silliness and to top it off, the shower didnt work. I let lady at the frontdesk know about the shower and her staff. A week I decided to give the Caribe another chance and they put me in the same room. Im glad to say that nobody knock on my door prematurely but guess what the shower STILL DID NOT WORK! YOU GUYS DONT GET MONEY AGAIN!!! So Sad smh....
Its more of a place for hookups , but if youre just looking for somewhere cheap to lay your head its alright. Although personally I wouldnt go opening doors to strangers , or go to a shared bathroom alone. The people could be a little rude , but its not that bad for 90 - 95 No matter what time of the night you check in , check out is at 12.
Affordable rooms. Overnight 90 dollars. Alot of crack heads go here sometimes. The one on 110th is better. No elevator its a walk up and can be alot of steps. Meaning depends on what floor your on.
I’ve stayed here many times before , but this time wasn’t pleasant couple down the hallway arguing & on top of that saw a MOUSE run through the room not once , but twice.
Nice place at a very affordable price for over night stay. Good location. Otherwise, doesnt offer much amenities.
Worst hotel I’ve ever been too. I don’t even write reviews, but i had too this time. The rooms were very stuffy & muggy, the hallways smelled like piss, the floors in the rooms were dirty and very sticky, and the bed spread was dingy as ever. Couldn’t even convince myself to sit down on that bed for the life of me. I would not recommend to anyone and I will not be back, I’m very dissatisfied.

It is what it is. Nothing good to say about this place. Ive seen better rooms on Wards Island in the Oddessy house then this 80.00 a night facility. It rents by the hour if thats your fancy.

I stood there some time ago the manager name james is so rude and nasty she dont know how to talk to people at all i will never come there again there managers are so unprofessional the other manager with the dreadlocks tryed to offer me more hours but it looks like she tryed to pocket my money nothing but crack heads who stay in that place never again i will come there
The manager name arlene is a rude person cant talk to customers unprofessional and i see she treats her coworkers the same this place need Renovation and new staff members they dont know how to talk to people not to mention the one with the dreadlocks to.
If I could give it a zero I would. Nasty place, one of the managers was so rude found a needle under my bed DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Worst experience of my life😡 I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau I will be showing the pictures I took of what happened
Miss James Im trying to check back in the Ebony hotel and the night shift person told mei cant check back in because he wants to be disrespectful to my boyfriend and now he told the morning staff to not check me back in please talk to the morning staff I would like to rent the room back please and thank you

Rooms are half clean . They force you to pay 110$ when you can get a much cleaner room at a cheaper price ( days in on 94th and broadway for 86$) these people are horrible when it come to customer service

I did not like the services since I am a person who cannot climb stairs and they wanted me to go up to the 4th floor for 115 dollars but if I gave 5 dollars more they would put me on the first floor and I accepted but you cannot sleep because there is a bathroom that at the side and appear is public for people on the street, poor service at the reception. I did not like
The customers are very chipies, I mean, stingy, they do not tip but neither does the girl who grabs the room

2022-04-01Loved everything about Hotel Caribe. The location was incredible set back in a beautiful plaza just steps from the Grand Plaza and local sights. The rooms were very clean and the beds and bedding were super comfortable. The courtyard is peaceful and the roof top pool overlooks the main cathedral which is extra stunning at the end of the day/blue hour. The staff was very accommodating and scheduled my COVID test that I needed to fly the next day (they came right to my hotel room.) This hotel and city were one of my favorites during my three week trip to Mexico.

2022-07-03Yikes is what i will stay. I have been in worse but in the age of luxury, modernization, and Airbnbs when you’re hotel is not reinvested into you’re missing out on so much money and opportunity. It’s a cheap hotel. Go if you’re desperate

2022-03-06I rented a room one night and they charged me 115 dollars and the next night I came back and rented for another night she had to give me the change of 5 dollars and she acted crazy because I dont speak English and she didnt give it to me... To top it off, that room the bed was much smaller and the room was very small, a place that smells only of smoke...

2021-12-13To the owner of hotel Caribe, If you say its no holes in the wall you are a liar. The rooms have so many holes in the walls you cant keep count. An those hotels dont have security guards. How dare you lie straight through your teeth an you supposed to be the superior. I did a test on multiple occasions to prove what I say. I would never lie on an establishment. I could tell every story but your establishment probably would get shut down.Stop hiring Creeps

2021-08-16Hated that it was so pricey compared to other spots. And then the cheaper rooms dont have a bathroom. Gotta walk down the hall. It was cool for what I went there for. But personally, I would never spend my money there...Room price was $65 for 2 hours

2021-03-18Worst abomination of a hotel ever. The front deck people have nasty attitudes. The woman knew I had my game system with,and I asked was there wifi for my game. Just to get up stairs to the room too see the tv is BORED UP. NO access to the HDMI hookup to the TV. so your front desk staff purposely withheld information just to con me out of my money. Very lousy business ethics.
