Ive browsed at this thrift store many times.many of the clothes are overpriced to the extent that you can buy new at a department store for less. They state that all of their profits to helping the homeless and AIDS.But some of their employees spout hateful words at people they suspect might be gay. That doesnt make a lot of sense to me.They do own buildings that house HIV positive persons. There is a Salvation Army thrift shop right around the corner on 96th.St.Also ther is a church basement thrift shop also on 96th.St.Both places have way better prices on all their merchandise, and they also will give a receipt for charities deduction on taxes.
Im local and go here all the time as a passtime - - dunno who their pricing person is but the 96th Street store is WWWAAAAAYYYYY overpriced. Every so often, miraculously, you find something worth buying but much of the stuff here is priced like new or even ABOVE new.Two other thrift shops within a block of this shop both have much better prices, although not the quality of merch. Its a good cause, but hardly THRIFT. Better off going to one of the other, better priced, (and better stocked) locations.

2022-06-12Really great for house decor, accent pieces and maybe even the shoes if you’re lucky. Other than that the clothing selection isn’t the largest but they do have some quality pieces here.

2017-07-05The window displays are usually fantastic. Music they play is fun, gets you in a great mood. Excellent deals, but the catch is some stuff is way overpriced but then other things are way underpriced, so for me it evens out. Great selection, happy that they do have plus-sized clothing for us curvy gals. Great cause, too.

2018-02-26This place receives donations of clothes, furniture, jewelry, art, etc for which they dont pay a cent. They priced the items way too high but I guess they still manage to sell some. It is a hit-and-miss place where you need to constantly go and see eat they have. Some things are beautiful others not so much.

2013-01-24Stumbled across this place as I was on my way to Good Ole Things, very good find. I got two nice mens suit jackets for 10$ -- and they were buy-one-get-one-free. Plus, to my surprise, I carried away a classy wooden bedside table for 35$. Awesome selection of clothes, furniture, and other thrift store bric-a-brac. Staff was helpful but never pushy; polite and pleasant. Nice music selection, too. Wish I could have spent more time there, plan to return soon.
