Housing Works Thrift Shops - Soho in other cities:
Good morning, if you want the same Housing Works that you used to know 15 years ago, where the organization as a whole, used to care about the clients they represent, which are and was DISABLED AMERICANS, Now they care about their EMPLOYEES AND Cheating every day AMERICAN TAX PAYERS and every day DISABLED AMERICANS and they have FRANCHISED THE ORGANIZATION and there ACTIONS Prove my point PLEASE TRUST ME, THIS IS NOT THE SAME PLACE, ever since the 2008 , economy crash that hit America, now housing works seem to hire every joe off the streets and the client hands over to them special privileged information concerning there health, and they OPENLY DISCUSS your private and privileged information with the open public, BREAKING AMERICAN LAWS every day AMERICAN TAX PAYERS pay for this type of behavior. IF this type of behavior is ACCEPTED AT THE TOP, this behavior is ACCEPTED AT all there ORGANIZATIONs, and if you witness this type of behavior, please record this and upload this behavior to you tube so every day, AMERICANS TAX PAYERS can witness this ACCEPTED behavior...

2021-09-05Hey, you interested in overpriced brand name junk? This is the place to go. This is just one example, but theyre selling this bag for 150, the zipper is broken on both sides, the bag is ripping, and its moldy. Found the same bag on ebay in near perfect condition with all zippers functional, WITHOUT someones custom label on it for cheaper. When this bag doesnt sell, theyll just throw it out like garbage, as stated by past employees.Theyre absolutely insane. Every store is like this, but let this one be a prime example.I dont support housing works anymore, finding out they dump items they dont sell, and dont even donate them or give them to employees. Donate/sell to the shops that actually sell them affordable like crossroads, goodwill, beacons or Buffalo exchange, as they will actually donate the stuff when they cant sell them.

2017-07-05A bit pricey for a thrift store but I always find something I like for a price I love. For instance todays find:$15 for leather belts in excellent condition. Brand names Micheal Kors and Coach. Brand new with tags Stainless Steel water bottles that looked like leftovers from a giveaway for 2 bucks a pop.

2013-03-10I get quality clothing for a very good price at this establishment and the money I spend goes to a worthy cause. You just have to know brands, workmanship and how much the item is worth when new. The clothing is always clean, there is a fitting room to try the clothes on and the service staff are pleasant and helpful.

2016-10-17One of my favorite thrift shops in the city. They have great stuff, and you never know what weird stuff youll find. They also do excellent events in their bookstore just a couple doors over from their Crosby store.

2018-09-09Great place! There are so many good finds but the shoes range from ok to beaten up. There is a section of table where and the clothes are in good conditions many people should donate their clothes.

2018-12-30Its depends what day u go. My first time a year n a half ago was great n Vera Wang dress for gf was the first n only experience that was great. I went in a few months after n now there was new staff. The only one that has been a constant pleasant person to deal with in price n all around not following you around n made to feel uncomfortable is the attraticve women usally behind the register wit dark brown hair witbblond highlights. N after to many scenes made by Im guessing the new manager cause him I would remember , loud , always right n loves to have people banned granted some deserving but most def not. I am not banned n still will go next door for coffee at the bookstore n ever1 from Kyle in the front to Molly in the back at da coffee bar. Lattes r better than Sbucks but sry Dean n Deluca got ya by a lil but no where else will u find a better staff from Nora to Krissy n rest of ladies n gents.

2015-11-27Small shop, but good selection. Fast turnover too. Prices are cheap for New York. Not a lot of mens stuff, but thats pretty typical for thrift stores. Usually a couple pieces of furniture and some home goods too.

2013-03-20Housing Works is the best! Free condoms, cheap books! Also the thrift store is great because NYers often throw out really nice designer items. I got my favorite cashmere sweater from Housing Works. Often designers such as Theory donate overstock and its sold very cheaply there. Plus all the money goes to HIV/AIDS causes.
