Positive: Honestly, the beds were comfy but thats it. Negative: It was gross. We interacted with maybe 3 staff members and only 1 guy (Sunday morning man at checkout) was nice, there was a woman overnight at front desk she was rude! The hotel was super gross,a friends room was full of fungus gnats. Stains galore.
Well I should have went to Nyack NY hotel instead... the room was spacious but the light smell of cigarettes lingered, yuck! Mind you Im a smoker(always outside) dont smoke in my home or car, wont do it in a hotel or other inside places either! I was totally exhausted once I got in late last night... I know its Halloween season but when some of the guests look like the Walking Dead thats when you turn back around!!!!But the manager at hand made my never at ease and assured me that everything will be alright! Gave it two because the bed was hard as a rock! Oh no place like home!
I booked a jacoozi room.#1 The TV didnt work at all#2 the Jacoozi had paint peeling off so obviously I couldnt use it.#3 the shower also didnt work at all.And when I went to the desk to ask for a refund, she gave me such attitude how I dare say they dont have a good place. I left and didnt get back a penny.
After this stay, I will no longer think of Wyndham and quality as being synonymous. While it was a very affordable stay and the staff were competent (though I would not say friendly), the cleanliness and facility quality was far below minimum expectations. While it is a smoke free facility, the lobby reeked of cigarettes and the room hallways smelled like marijuana. The room itself just had a generally unclean smell to it. The tub in the bathroom was stained. The dresser had a huge damaged piece in the bottom, that appeared to have some mold growing on it. The headboard was not hung up properly and was crooked/half falling off the wall as a result. The beds were not very comfortable. There were stains on the floor and some of the lights did not work.
Positive: Nothing at all. Negative: It was advertised having continental breakfast but did not. There was no house keeper to clean the room or provide clean towels. The posted no smoking area in front of the hotel had staff that conjured together and smoked. Causing the lobby to smell
Worst place I have stayed The room smelled, the ceiling leaked all night was like a Chinese water torture! Had to get maintenance to get us in the room since door was stuck and key card didn’t work. Elevator was very questionable. Lobby was dirty. I would have expected this if I paid 49.00 a night but it was more expensive than a room at a Hilton for a 1 double bed room. Stay away we would have been better off sleeping in the car
Well I must confess I was thinking that it was going to be very disappointing. But to my surprise the room I stayed in was very tidy, the front desk was absolutely just friendly and welcoming, and attentive to making my brief stay as pleasant as possible. I would stay there again for future examination. But all in all it was very pleasant.
Well were can I start. For the price, the bed was hard as a rock. The pillows felt like foam and not a very good quality. No breakfast served and no pool. The thing that really got me was that there is suppose to be no smoking and says its 100% smoke free and there are rooms you can get to smoke in. The rooms smelled like musty and smoke. Just know we wont visit it again.
Greg went above and beyond for me and my sibling after an incident at another hotel. We were very happy to have a place to sleep after a long trip. Room was very clean and where we stayed was very quiet. Beds were comfy. Thank you so much to Greg! We would’ve had to sleep in my car if it wasn’t for him.
I liked the size of the rooms and the beds were really comfortable. The hotel prices were good as well. They do offer free breakfast, although the breakfast offered is a little less than ideal. Free tho! I did not like the bathroom situation and there was a little smell in the hallways. Overall a pretty safe bet to stay at this hotel. I appreciated it
First of all me and my husband were charged $125 for the night because they only had a two queen bed (nonsmoking) room but the next morning prices were $63 a night 🤯, the room smelled like cigarettes and that smell was impregnated everywhere to the point were we had to open the window, the air conditioner was like a fan but pointing up so needless to say we couldn’t sleep well. The other bed smelled like pee. The bathroom ceiling looked sketchy AF with all the holes and missing pieces so in conclusion this is a 1 ⭐️ hotel not a 2 ⭐️ “Hotel”.
I was disappointed with the Howard Johnson during my stay for a couple of reasons: primarily many of the guests were not practicing social distancing, too many people in close proximity not wearing masks at all and even with visible signage posted about staying 6 feet from each other, it was not enforced.Another reason was that a large family was staying there as well and were very loud our first two nights, to where I had to call the front desk and tell them on our second night that the people on our floor were slamming doors, children were running up and down the hallways yelling and adults were yelling as well for over 2 hours. I made that call at nearly 1 AM.House keeping doesnt show up to clean the room at all until very late in the day. Thankfully my boyfriend and I brought an extra roll of toilet paper with us to use on our last full day. We would be gone from our room until about 3 PM and housekeeping has yet to visit our room. Even as Im writing this, we came back from our outing about 3 PM and housekeeping was down the hallway from our room, to not have moved in over a half hour. Were also lucky we brought spare towels so we can shower.Ive never seen anything like this before in all the years Ive stayed at any hotel. I may sound high maintenance but in all honesty, one cant be high maintenance when theyre trying to sleep at a reasonable hour to only have their sleep disruptive because of loud and rude guests who let their children run freely in the building, along with lack of cleanliness inside and even outside the property; there was an incredible amount of garbage in the parking lot for the first two to three days we stayed here. Even a garbage can at one end of the property was visibly full to where garbage was situated next to it finally got empty today (Thursday) and we arrived on Sunday night. In the end, we will not be returning to this location the next time we are in the area. We will take our business elsewhere.
I stay in this hotel 2 days a week at least these people are the most friendliest kind of people ever especially the men at the front desk hes normally here all day hes amazing but the men that works third shift 11 to 7 is also most kind of person in the whole world I couldnt ask for a better place to stay
Upon arrival, a man (couldve been Dipa, the manager on duty, I am not sure) watching TV pointed to my masked face and perhaps meant to be warm-hearted commented, why are you wearing a face mask? So many people are wearing a face mask. There is no sign or hand sanitizer within sight. I went to the front desk and the person, Gita, proceeded to ask for my information. She asked for my card used for the reservation and I informed her I had recently cancelled that card the previous day and I have another card I could use. Besides her bothered attitude, she took my card and ran it. She told me it was declined and was ready to dismiss me. Confused, I offered cash. Without looking at me, she said there was an ATM in the hallway and I had to offer loudly I had cash on hand to get her attention. Of the $106 owed, I handed over a 100 and a 50 dollar bills. She made a face and complained out loud Dont you have a $10 bill? I have to count so many 10s now. and I bothered to look through my wallet to look for a $10 bill before apologetically saying I do not have that bill on my person. She clucked her tongue like I caused a great inconvenience. She handed over my change and told me to count it myself. She finally smiled when handing over my room keys. I later called my bank to check my card, and I was told it never ran, declined or otherwise.Room 413 had a leaking ceiling crack that dripped over the sink counter overnight and wet belongings that were expected to be kept dry. The mini fridge was found leaking and wet the carpet upon arrival. The wall paper is peeling.
SMELLS LIKE CIGARETTES!!! As soon as you walk in you can smell it in the lobby. Rooms look decent but it smells like cigarette. DO NOT recommend!! Also, the guests are walking in and out without a mask hanging out in the lobby. As I was waiting to check in another guest asked at the front desk what area was for smoking and the man told him that it was okay to smoke in the room.
- Lobby smells like smoke- Room is very stale smelling if AC is not on- There were 2 flies in room, and side table was not clean - mysterious steaks- Toilet floor area seemed like it was not cleaned.Original person who checked me in was fine, I think the site manager, asked if I needed accessible which I said no (didnt notice I booked that) and she didnt suggest or ask if I wanted to change since I didnt need an accessible room. She also didnt warn me what the room entailed -Room 116 is awful room, no sound insulation - You hear the elevator buzzing a lot, peoples rolling luggage and ice machine across the hall.It is also one of only 3 accessible rooms in the hotel.I tried resting for about 20 min before the noise got to me, and I went to desk to request a change. The new person was rude when I asked to change the room to less noisy one. He could have said the place was full occupancy both accessible and non-accessible or gotten a manager. But instead, he felt the need to say it was the cheap room for a reason and made it seem like it was my fault for getting a terrible room.If you need an accessible room and want rest, I would not suggest this place.Overall, I would not recommend this place at all - Lacks both cleanliness and hospitality.
I booked for 3 nights stay but I had to cut it off to 2 nights I cannot stand the smell in the hallways it smells Strong marijuana all over the hallways in all floors even the smells seeps in to the room vents I wasn’t able to rest and sleep at all I had to move out to go somewhere else . It supposed to be non smoking place but the management seem tolerating it. It makes the place look so cheap. No housekeeping came to clean the room. Also people smoking right in front of the Hotel. I’m so disappointed with my stay .
This hotel is at very convenient location just off the 287/87, and very near to GSPW. The rooms are large, clean and beds are very comfortable. Staff provided excellent services. They take time to clean the rooms and facility. The nightly rate of this hotel is very economical for business or personal travelers. I strongly recommend to stay at this hotel to get an experience of exceptional service and peaceful sleep during busy travel schedule.
I stayed here. I had a great experience in this hotel. They had excellent service at check-in accommodating and friendly staff. The room was an elegant and clean and very comfortable bed. I love their rooms and breakfast. Prices were very reasonable. Definitely, recommend to everyone.
Room was clean, breakfast was not good..first morning it was just bread and donuts and a waffle maker. But the waffle maker looked very very old and was really nasty looking. Second morning they had bread, donuts, and egg and sausage patties. It was not great tasting by any means. But it was a free breakfast as advertised. We got our room right across the laundry room, thankfully our room didn’t smell but as soon as you walk out in the hallway you’re hit with dirty laundry and cigarette smell.
My parents from out of town (N.H.) stayed there over the weekend so I frequented their room, observed the accommodations, and on occasion dealt with Hotel staff. Other than my severe pet-peeve with most of these lower-end hotels when they hook up a new TV to the coaxial analogue cable which produces a squashed picture because of the wrong aspect-ratio. I understand that one usually stays at the hotel not to stay AT the hotel BUT attention to detail is ALWAYS key so no matter how low-maintenance you are if you are back in your hotel room and want to relax for an hour or two and watch TV before bed but the TV picture looks squashed and also grainy because of the bad analogue signal - all because the hotel is too cheap to invest in an HDMI cable to run from the cable box to the TV - that is one of those things which seems like a minor inconvenience bit really is an inconvenience which should not exist in the first place.Aside from that and the fact that the surrounding area looks suspect - the accommodations were adequately comfortable.
I been to another location and it was good so i thought this will be better. First the lobby looked so old and smell bad. People were smoking just next to the main entry. The rooms were clean but again smelled like if someone was smoking, supposedly i on non smoking room. It was so hot the AC was so old and it was turning off every 10 minutes. The breakfast was old. I will not stay here again.
My experience was awesome!.I dont write reviews often, (the last time I wrote a review was probably over a year ago)., But I would like to share my experience and gratitude to the hotel management and Steff in public. The staff is really professional nice and compassionate AND THEY REALLY GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO MAKE THE CUSTOMER HAPPY!
The hotel is in a good location with lots of things to do nearby. The room was clean, check in and check out were quick and easy and the staff was kind and professional. The breakfast was good and there were plenty of options. I would stay here again if I ever needed to.
*Pros: The location is nice being right off of the main road and not to far from entertainment. The room itself is dated with modern touches.*Cons: The bed has springs and it’s so hard. The bathroom is definitely not convienent seeing as it’s way to small and the sink is in the main bedroom. The water pressure is not awful but not great and the water itself smells of chlorine when showering and it made my skin itch to be honest. The breakfast is stail donuts, pastries and coffee with a side of mysteriously tasteless eggs.Nice for a last minute hotel but wouldn’t plan on staying here again unless I had to.
Clean place. Comfortable beds. Nice quiet room on the back side of building. Knob off of sunlamp on bathroom. TV didnt work. Lots of pillows offered. Room temp comfortable. Hot breakfast of eggs, sausage and waffles offered as well as cold breakfast items. Plently of hot water for shower. Matrix shampoo & conditioner offered. Plenty of close parking with ample lighting at night time. Closet door broken. Fridge didnt seem cold enough.
Hotel was very shady, the hallways smelled of tobacco smoke. Decent rooms and breakfast area. Found it hard to get into my room using the room key. I heard that one of the showers in one of the rooms across from mine had been rusted over. If you can spend the extra money, I would recommend it, but if your looking for a cheap place to crash for one or two nights, this is your place.
It’s not bad, but it’s also not good either. Strands of hair were found on the sheets, water pressure in the shower was iffy, rooms are quite small, staff was alright. Had a few weird experiences with some people staying there, but the plus side is that it’s near all sorts of things. If you’re going to be traveling and just need a bed to sleep on at night, this place is a definitely a good option. (It’s also cheap!)
Got no complaints . Breakfast was plentiful coffees good . I was able to check in early , staff is very helpful . Quiet room even on the bottom floor . All the amenities anyone could ask for are provided . Grateful for a good place to rest my head during a hard tradeshow
Room was big and clean, everything all set when we got there. Figuring out the key card to enter the room is always a bit tricky, but especially when a random stranger opens the door and realizes that they must have the wrong room awkward moment and realized the next morning that the 2nd key card to the room didnt work, so figured something got a little mixed up at some point. Continental breakfast was nice to have.
Main lobby was falling apart. Took 3 key changes to get into the room, all while waiting outside the room in a hallway that smelled like something rotten. Eventually entering, my non-smoking room smelled of nothing but cigarettes. Continental breakfast was less than mediocre. By far the worst hotel Ive ever stayed in.
The rates are very affordable. The staff is very courteous and friendly. The continental breakfast is good, its not amazing but there is a decent variety and it seems pretty fresh. There are some squeaky wheels in the hall and the beds are a bit on the hard side. All in all its pretty nice.
Rooms were clean, but small. Hotel over all a bit dated. Breakfast was okay, very basic, no meats. Only real complaint was that the heat was off in the room and cold, took a while to heat up. Thankfully we had a conference and had time to heat up. I would stay here again if in the area.
Air conditioners are horrible. It turned on very loudly for 15 seconds then off for 30 seconds and repeated. Very difficult to sleep with that going on. Plus it took it 5 hours for the room to be almost cool. Bed was horrible. Like a kids mattress on a trampoline. Reservation was for queen sized bed but these were doubles. Not a good experience all around. Ive stayed at worse which is the only reason it gets 2 stars.
My husband, myself and 2 friends decided to stay here due to its closeness to the Renaissance Faire in nearby Tuxedo, NY...1st impressions mean a lot and my 1st impressions were of a bunch of people sitting wherever they could smoking, one by the front door... .while I know its a smoke free hotel, I think they could create a a designated smoking area not near the front door...So we walk into the lobby and there is a man laying on one of the couches watching tv with his shoeless feet on the coffee table..again, 1st impressions ...So we get our key, go to the elevator, which was like being in an oven, get to the 3rd floor and the hallway is not only hot but it smelt like cigarettes and pot...Ok maybe they need to check if their guests to make sure they are not smoking...or maybe update and change the carpets to get rid of the musty odor...In our room it still had a pot odor but once we turned the A.C. on it seemed to dissipate...we had 2 queen beds while our friends were on the 4th floor but I did not see their room...1 bed was nicely made and firm, meanwhile the 2nd bed was creaky and it had a king sized mattress cover on it, making wrinkly under the sheets and not too comfy...Breakfast in the morning was nice, cereals, Danish, waffles , toast , oatmeal, juices, coffee etc..the only issue is that it was very warm in the room...do they not believe in air conditioning???The price for the room was average, the staff we interacted with were nice...I am not sure if they refill their tiny shampoo bottles as mine had someones hair on it...but grateful for NO bed bugs or cockroaches...It needs a remodel to get the musty smells out of everything...but thats just my opinion ...
Nice area to stay while visiting Haraman State Park and Bear Mountain. The price was very good. We had a single room with a comfortable king bed just for one night. There was a mold looking spot on the ceiling by the window which worried us a little. the breakfast was ok, just same ole stuff. Check in and check out was fast.
Ive been staying at this hotel for years. The staff is really nice and helpful. They just gave the hotel a makeover and fixed all the rooms. U come in. Check in is fast, you get your room, big TVs, tiled bathroom you got a fridge and a microwave, you have coffee in the room not to mention they have great coffee downstairs in the lobby The blankets are comfortable and cozy. Nice little gym. Also they have a Jacuzzi room which is pretty snazzy. Thats all I need so if thats what youre looking for and U dont want to spent too much money then this is the place!! Its right off the highway so coming and going is 123 (but you DONT hear the highway from the hotel) with Chilis, Outback ,sushi ,diner, Italian, lol and Dunkin Donuts with in a quarter mile and there are tons of places to order in from. Parking is right there in front no walking. So again you want something not too expensive well worth the money and everything you need to come check it out.
Room was comfortable, but there were hard stains on the carpet. Someone was smoking serious chronic and it stunk up the whole 4th floor, when it didnt smell like weed the hallways smelled like food...and sometimes you can hear the fire alarm go off in another room, the showerhead was broken and the breakfast was ok. Stay here if you are on a budget.
The entire hotel has a foul odor. There was a large amount of debris visible throughout the entire second floor hallway. Desk leg broken and the chair was covered in an unknown brown substance. Refrigerator and hair dryer didnt work at all. We found bugs in the room and as if that wasnt enough my 6 y.o found used drug paraphernalia under one of the beds!!! Save your time and money and skip right past this place. The patrons who left the previous comments couldnt possibly have stayed at this hotel.
The hotel is location on the highway. There is a diner , Walmart and shoprite nearby. The checkin was quick. I had booked 2 king size bed upon arrival they informed us that it is not available and gave us a double bed room instead. We ended up over paying for our stay. The parking had ample space. The rooms had a odd layout with the sink outside the bathroom. The overall feel of the room and the hotel was dull, old, smelly. Would only stay here for a short stay on a budget.
Its expensive, at 85-130/night double occupancy, we didnt have hot water one of our 5 nights here, our discounted quoted reservation price wasnt honored & the restaurant claimed to be attached is boarded shut. If I didnt come here due to a broken utility issue & I wasnt disabled without the energy to switch hotels, I would have done as such. The rooms were clean, the continental breakfast was decent and the internet connection is strong on their WiFi are thusly its best points, so avoid this dump if you can!
Great location, really pleasant and good spacious rooms. We were lucky enough to stay in this charming hotel for 5 nights during our business trip, All are so nice and friendly, however a special mention needs to go to Front Office people are Really good incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. Our room in Hotel Howard Johnson was clean and spacious,Wish I could of stayed longer - next time............
If you dont mind the smell of cigarettes, you may like this place. Othwise, RUN AWAY! As soon as you walk in the lobby you notice the bad smell. We went upstairs, the room smelled like cigarettes and some kind of room freshener. Went back down to ask for a different room. Guy said he would go up to smell for himself. Never experienced that lol. Came back and gave us a different room... The new room smelled ecxalty the same. We asked for a refund. He seemed upset, but agreed to refund our money.Btw, employees should not be allowed to rate. The same front desk person that I mentioed, left a 5 star review after my review. Hi Harry! Lol (his nickname).
The bed was hard, there was residual smoke in the room (from the vent system?), and there were motors started and running at 2am; whats not to like? In favor of this, it was clean, the showers were hot, and the toilet flushed. We paid $159 for the Jacuzzi room, which we didnt use, but this was the last room available that night.
This hotel is very nice. Its convenient because its located right off the thruway & there are plenty of stores to shop around at in the area. The hotel itself is very clean & there are side entrances that are also very convenient to go in & out quickly. The rooms are very clean & the staff is very friendly! I would recommend this hotel for couples, family & friends.
Extremely dissatisfied with my stay. I asked for a non smoking room and the room reeked of smoke. The carpet was filthy and there were dead bugs behind the door. The walls were visibly dirty. The shelf in the bathroom had a cigarette burn on it in my non smoking room.
While other hotels in the Wyndham chain (and elsewhere) are supposedly of higher quality, this particular inn at Suffern is uniquely worthy of 7 stars! Yes, there are 7 star hotels worldwide, and Ive stayed in some -- this particular Howard Johnson surely lives up to those supreme standards!Kudos also to the affable and warmly pleasant manager, Ms. Gandhi who, along with a stellar staff here, ensure that even the most fastidious travelers are fully satiated with their stay, including all amenities that warrant the 7-stars!PS: You will also be treated to the family of Deer that amble the Parking lot!
Very obvious that the rooms arent cleaned thoroughly. Found hair and suspcious stains in the sheets, the bathtubs were gross, the entire second floor smelled like weed. Got switched to a the third floor but it still smelled like old cigarettes and weed. Paid for 2 nights and the key card wouldnt work after the first night and they tried telling us we only paid for one night.
So gross...walk in to lobby and all you smell is pot. Made a comment to person at desk and she just stated it was the smoking floor. Went to room. Tub was gross...they forgot to clean it. Still had small hairs all over from last person who apparently shaved. When I finally turned down the bed..I realized they didnt change the sheets. The sheets were wrinkled like bed was just made after someone slept in it. Place is disgusting!
I agree with the other reviews here - this is probably one of the worst hotels Ive ever stayed in. I was looking for value pricing on Hotwire when booking (without knowing the area) and thought I wanted to try to save a couple of bucks by going with the lowest price. MISTAKE. You are better off spending $30 more a night to have a decent hotel. This place is dreary, depressing, and the attitude of the owner/managers seems to be that you, the customer, dont deserve much more. This is strangely truck-stop-like, I agree with the previous reviewer. Its all construction worker / truck driver guests and the lot is full of trucks that get going 6am or earlier. The grounds are a mess when you look in further detail, like no project was ever really completed. Screens that have fallen out of windows onto the ground, supplies stored in stairwells, etc. People also stand at the end of the hallways to smoke by the windows. The rooms are decent, if dirty. Honestly, they are quite dirty around the edges like no one cares to really vacuum behind the furniture. The carpet inspired me to walk around in my socks.Wifi speed OK but you have to re-sign-in every 12 hours. Breakfast dont even bother.Sorry to be harsh, but i feel like I wasted a week of my life here.
This location is clean, pleasant and located in a convenient spot with many stores local to it in walking distance. They allow you to have pets and to order from many of the delivery services offered locally. Easy to find. Easy to park. Easy to check in. Friendly and inviting.
If I could give them more than a 5 star I would have!!! Beautiful, spacious hotel with pretty much all the amenities one can imagine. Staff is extremely polite & helpful. Food quality and the location was very good .big rooms nice view helpful staff one of the best Hotel I Visited ever.
This place is extremely clean, well kept, and not jammed with traffic. Ample parking, great walking distance restaurants (Outback, Fridays, Chilis, etc.) just across the street and right off the highway for easy access. Would def recommend a visit. I think this is a newer establishment. Friendly staff as well :-)
Dirty...unpleasant desk clerk it was in a snow storm we had to stay...I am diabetic and my sugar was low no one would deliver food cause of storm...snack machine broke I ask if she could get me something since they do breakfast and I would pay her she just walked away. the phone in the room the cord to the handle would not stay plugged in so we had to keep going to the desk where she ignored me over and over. This is not my first time I had problems with this chain...I stayed in the one in Toms River and I put my insulin in the refrig and it froze $700 of insulin ruined. NEVER stay in a HJ again !!!! Would rather stay in my car.
IF I COULD GIVE IT LOWER THAN A 1 STAR RATING I WOULD!!! The WORST hotel stay ever. The front desk clerk very rude. Had the keys/rooms all mixed up, had to go to the front desk several times before corrected. Air conditioner very noisy and did not blow cold. Explained to front desk clerk that the rooms would be paid for separately but I was billed 3 times for 2 rooms and its not their fault but mine.... go figure. I tried calling Wyndham customer service and that was even worse to deal with. I will never stay at another Wyndham franchise again!!!
I ask the manager this morning for fresh towels. He said he cant give em to us. The cafeteria where the breakfast is served was filled with at least 12 indian people that were family of the manager. They had portable cooking appliances making curry food. Then best part going back to my room on 4th floor the people leave cafeteria and go back to their rooms which there is 4 rooms that are filled with these people all of them also have their doors open at night, you walk on 4th floor and all you smell is a musty smell and curry spices. How can you charge someone full price and provide no service. It is 1am right now and i have to check out at 11am, cant sleep because these people on 4 th floor wont stop yelling in indian. Called front desk at 1am to let the front desk know that an argument and a guy hitting a lady in room 419 was occurring and that i couldnt sleep. He hung up on me. So i went downstairs and confronted him and he was silent, i told him if he wont do anything then i will call police and have them deal with it.
Had to leave at 2am because bed bugs were found in my bed biting my sister. Room 408! 2 Star hotel, dont do it. Very displeased. Visiting for an event from South Carolina Carolina to leave and find somewhere else to stay after going to a 24hour laundry to place all of all clothes into heat in the dryer to hopefully rid of carrying them with us. They know that had bed bugs!!!!
The rooms are nice, although the paint resembles something out of the 70s. But the rooms are clean, cable and HBO, free Wi-Fi, and the beds are really comfortable. The staff are nice and curtious. Theres a diner, bar, Walgreens and Apple Bees all within walking distance. It is also near the NYS thruway and about halfway between NYC and Woodbury Commons, and only about 15 min driving from the Palisades Mall, making it a prime location.
I dont typically take the time to rate hotels, but this place deserves a bad rating. The hotel itself is what it is. You dont expect the Ritz Carlton when you are paying $100/night.But the staff was rude as hell. My wife and I came up for a last-minute funeral and arrived at 1am. We requested a late (12pm) checkout, which was granted. At 11am someone tried to walk in to clean without knocking. At 11:45am someone again tried to walk in without knocking. At 11:55am the front desk clerk called and literally just said, HELLLO! Check out time! Hes lucky my wife answered instead of me. He proceeded to call back to harass us 3 more times in the next 10 minutes. Are you kidding me??Nice customer service, jackass.
I have stayed at this hotel several times before and it does not receive the justice it deserves. The staff is very courteous and polite. This property is very clean and has ALL the amenities for an enjoyable and creative stay. The rates are very reasonable too. The value here is truly tremendous.Renovated rooms, desk with rolling chair; Desk lamp w/ outlet; 42” Flat-Screen TV w/USB and HDMI inputs; Plenty of channels w/ HBO; Internet with avg. speeds of 15-18 Mbps (perfect for streaming movies and videos); Microwave and Refrigerator; Full-length mirror and a SAFE (very smart HoJo’s of Suffern)!!; gym; complimentary breakfast; complimentary business center w/ printer. Thank you for thinking of everything. The property is Super convenient and right off the exit of NYS Thruway Exit 14B. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance and a 2 minute drive too. Forgot something? Walmart is less than a half mile away. For a great value and enjoyable experience, do yourself a favor and check this property out. You WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. Have a Powerful Day!
The only thing i know is that i parked my truck with commercial plates on the propertys lot and was never bothered by anyone. Not saying its 100% allowed but at least they dont call cops or towing in order to remove a truck so Id say trucker friendly and right off the interstate 87 highway going both ways across the gulf gas station and next to bagel boys.
Fantastic place with wonderful characters! Admitted, every complaint is valid, but a haters going to hate. The breakfast is subpar (to say the least), but on the flip side the staff is warm and accommodating, the rooms clean. My a.c.didnt work(at all), but you cant have everything in life. Cant beat it for the price.
Dont even know where to start this by far is one of the worst hotels i have ever stayed at rooms smell like old cigarettes the bed sheets have stains. The bathtub was dirty everything about this place is bad other then the location stay clear i was suppose to stay here for 4 days i will definitely be checking out in the morning this is unacceptable on so many levels
Needs to be upgraded ,been coming here for years but there are some rooms that should be redone . bed bugs bad breakfast needs bacon and scrambled eggs . it used to be cheaper , prices are subject to change depending on traffic . the prices online are not equal to the original price when you come there . used to be smoking rooms . its good for a few days but not the best service or staff of individuals.

I Am Sorry To Say That I Have Stayed At This Hotel Ever Other Month for At Less 2 Weeks At A Time My Boss Talks Very Highly Of This Establishment But After To Night I’m Going To Personal Speak To The CEO of Our Construction Company Make Sure We Never Promote Or Stay At This Establishment Again I Dont Understand If It Was Because I Used My Name And ID Instead Of Having My Boss Book The Room For Me But The Service Was Atrocious Maybe Because I was Black And Little Dress Down But I Was Giving The Most Filthy And Disgusting Room In The Building Food All Over Empty Water Bottles Sheets On The Floor Garbage Over Flowing And Then When I Raise My Concerns I’m Bushed Off Like It’s Nothing Been Working Since 7Am It’s 12pm Right Now Just Checked In 10 Mins Ago Worst Experience Cant Wait ato Check Out
ROACHES.BEWARE.I CAME HERE WITH MY FAMILY WHILE I WAS IN LABOR AND THERE WERE ROACHES CRAWLING ON THE WALLS WE CAUGHT ONE AND SHOWED THE STAFF AND THEY OFFERED TO GIVE US A NEW ROOM, WHICH WE CHECKED AND FOUND EVEN MORE OF THEM. THEY ARE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND ARE DOING NOTHING ABOUT IT.PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE IT IS INFESTED AND YOU WILL END UP BRINGING BUGS BACK TO YOUR HOME.

2022-05-23Excellent for the reasonable price. Staff are nice. Yes, it is an older motel but they make every effort to keep it running smoothly. The rooms are generous in size and always clean. Wi-Fi works well.

2021-12-07Not a good place! Wasnt clean. Found a roach in the bathroom. Mattress was awful, pillows were old and felt like sacks of cotton balls. Caps in the room werent wrap in plastic. Stayed for 3 nights and the room was never clean in between days and no fresh towels were given. We had to ask for extra soap. There was only ONE hanger in the closet and we had to go to the front desk to get more and they only gave us 2 plastic ones. The shower is in need of update. No towel hangers to dry towels. Will never stay there again!

2021-12-03We had such a horrible experience at this hotel. I booked 3 rooms and we got into the City at around 1am. When we checked into 1 of the rooms there was baby roaches chillen on bed, counter everywhere in the hallway it was gross. The front desk said the would refund all my rooms. Well that didn’t happen. The manager is rude she said she would only refund 1 room. Why would My family stay in the other 2 rooms of your hotel is infested with roaches. I will never be staying there! Do not stay at this hotel unless you want roaches going home with you.

2021-08-15I really had a good stay at this hotel. The room was really clean and the bed had just the right amount of firmness to aid in a restful sleep for each of the 5 nights I stayed from August 4-9th. The staff were very friendly and helpful to all my needs and ensured my needs were met may it be here to get fresh drinking water or extra toiletries and towels when I didnt want to be disturbed by housekeeping. My only complaint isnt even the staffs fault. During the weekend, people staying on my floor were rowdy all night and it was hard to sleep as I was woken up multiple times. To add: Certain guests did not adhere to the non-smoking rule in their rooms. Every time I left my room, the hallways had a strong odor of cigarette and other types of smoke in the hallways and lobby. I did bring this up to staff, but there is just so much they can do in lieu of throwing out guests. This was my only sticking point as to why Im giving 4 stars, not 5.

2022-02-11I have too say the gentleman name Gregory at CK in was very nice, polite n helpful, I gave my experience a 3 star due to the back doors had no locks, anyone off the street could walk in. Also the bed n pillows were terrible, room was very clean.
