We found this charming place in Troy for our family reunion. They offered a free tour and we were blown away. It is much larger and beautiful than the photos represent on FB. Finding a date was a little tough because they are filling up fast. We worked with Mike and found a time my large family could attend. The rental agreement was straightforward which I really appreciated. Any extras we needed were clearly stated. We came in and arranged tables and lighting and mike and Akeem took care of it all. Our DJ and music were important to us dancing fools and the acoustics were great. Our caterer said it was one of the best experiences they have had with a venue owner in 2 years. We had a GREAT time. One of my friends has since booked her rehearsal dinner there. I highly recommend this spot. We are lucky to have this well run professional spot open in Troy. The views of the Hudson will seal any deal.
The management films your party without consent and then posts to their facebook page. Complete violation of privacy. I dont feel comfortable after having been to the hudson candy factory and Id like for them to take down the footage of me dancing.
Here for an event. Lady at the bar had a horrible attitude everytime someone asked for a drink.. then charged everyone’s cards $3 & $4 tip after the event was over!!
My wife and I were married at Hudson Candy Factory and they made our special day extra special. Mike and the staff went above and beyond to make our wedding day perfect. Everything from the food to the decor was excellent! I would highly recommend them for weddings or any really important events.

I just attended my best friends birthday bash at Hudson Candy Factory. What a great place to throw a party! Overlooks the Hudson River, it had a great bar, a place for a band/DJ, room for a dance floor and plenty of room for tables.I highly recommend you check it out when planning an event.
This is an excellent event space! Lighting is awesome, and stage is great for whatever you need. Mike, the owner, is a fantastic person to work with, as is all of the staff at the place. I cant wait to have another event here!

Gorgeous venue! Hosted an event here for a 50th birthday party and had an overall great experience. Below are my pro & cons. Ultimately the pros certainly outweighed the cons and I highly recommend this place for your next event!! I will certainly book them again! Thanks!Pros:-clean, elegant, modern yet slighty rustic/industrial space-various spaces for entertaining including separate rooms that were perfect for napping babies to get away from loud music (not 100% open concept which others may see as a con however I liked for our event)-wheelchair accessible-basic color linens included-very reasonable price for weekday and Sunday events-able to supply last minute missing supplies (additional gold chargers, scissors, cupcake stand/platters, chaffing dishes)-helps with break down/cleanup, setting out food, cutting cake, etc-owner really wants to help and flexible (fixed a plate for DJ, asked how he could help during set up, allowed me to add a clause in the contract to support full refund due to shutdowns beyond our control ie covid etc)-free parking lot a block downCons:- Space didn’t have a liquor license so getting a bartender was an extra cost. Luckily venue was able to recommend a family member’s business to have a bartender. Bartender was below average in my opinion but was told he was a last minute alternate.-Saturday price almost double weekdays- Requested black linen and arrived to find white linen. Then we’re told black linens were not available. Luckily our decor still worked with white but under different circumstances this would of been major.- $100 kitchen fee seems to unclear what it included (example:was Informed they would keep the food cold/warm for us but was charged extra for $3 burners)-noticed staff eating food we brought in and also taking pictures without my explicit permission. Didnt mention it during the event since the pros were so great but certainly notice and felt sneaky.

I have watched this venue grow with anticipation. As someone who lived in Troy for 15 years- I can say, our city needed this space and idea. I think the decor, cool events and food is cutting edge.

2021-11-12I went to the Hudson Candy Factory for a Halloween party recently. I had a GREAT TIME!!! The space is really beautiful. The floors look brand new and are super shiny. Plenty of room to dance. Places to sit if you needed to take a break from the action. Great stage. Great dance floor!!!!And! I left my yoga mat there, and Mike (the owner) kept it safe for me for a couple weeks until I was able to pick it up. I’d say that was above and beyond! This place is a great addition to Troy. I would definitely recommend them for your next event.

2022-02-07This newer venue in Troy is outstanding for a party or wedding! I was at an event with about 75 people this weekend and was blown away by the space, quality of the food, accessibility, acoustics and overall feel of the space. There is a true pride of ownership and the history of the building and renovations are so interesting. As times get better and we can start getting together for fun events, this business should be at the top of your list for planning an event. I was so impressed.

2022-06-08I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! It is beautiful. Perfect pairing of yesteryear and today. Tastefully decorated. Simple Chic. Mike was truly a pleasure to do business with. He was accommodating, flexible, and helpful. He gave us a lot of great suggestions for the birthday party we were having. The food was very good and very fresh. I would recommend this venue for a wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, birthday party, bridal/baby shower, just about any type of party. Do not pass this venue by!!!

2021-10-25My son and his new bride had their wedding reception at the Hudson Candy Factory and it was a PERFECT venue!Behind that yellow street door is an amazingly beautiful restored space with lovely lighting, gleaming hardwood floors, exposed brickwork and eclectic art.It all comes together perfectly to create a wonderful visual experience.The management team and staff were responsive to every request and the event was a joy to attend. Thank you HCF!

2022-05-31Editing my review since the owner has responded....Firstly I would like to acknowledge this is not the first event Ive been to at your establishment and received the same treatment so lets start there. At 11:45 the venue had not set up the tables or the linen for the event to be set up as agreed prior to the event, we folded our own napkins. The owner did not communicate any of his response below prior to the event with the person who signed the contract for the event. The owner was pushy NOT the staff as I stated below. The staff was nice, respectful and accommodating especially the guy and bartender. It was not acknowledged until start of the event of the no alcohol as gift UNTIL the event had started. The DJ debacle was a miscommunication, much as what has obviously happened with the owner and the contract signee, there was no argument. All of the food did not arrive at 11:45, and it was discussed between you and the host that it would be properly stored until the start of the event as you failed to acknowledge in your response. Also why are you worried about how much food is being served, that is not your business, you are to only be worried about safety, and regulations of your venue space which was respected. You also told the host of the event not to worry about getting more plates, serving utensils and so on as she said she would grab before the start of the event because you had them. Sir I hope moving forward you are able to communicate better, take accountability and feedback. I truly would not recommend your venue now. I originally gave you 3 stars because of your beautiful space and your nice staff but now I will give you what you deserve 1 star, and if I could give you 0 I would.Original review:The owner is a bit overbearing, he tries to take control over your event. He removed food from their original pans which resulted in all the food not being served and wasn’t prepared when we arrived to set up. I would not recommend doing an event at this venue. It is a nice space but owner is too pushy, and isn’t as “helpful” as he thinks he’s being. Other than that the staff is very nice and accommodating.

2021-12-10What an outstanding venue! We had our company holiday party there last night and it was absolutely beautiful. The staff and team there were super friendly and accommodating, the space is incredibly beautiful and everything went off without a hitch. Excellent place, Highly recommended!!

2022-02-17I cannot recommend the Hudson Candy Factory enough! I was fortunate enough to get married here last year and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The owners and staff were incredible and worked closely with us to help my (now) wife and I pull off our vision for the wedding.Obviously, the space is beautiful and well-managed. It has a full kitchen and bar, walk-in refrigerator, gorgeous river views, and big windows that give great light. However, most importantly in my opinion, they let you use this beautiful space as a blank slate. Whatever your vision is, they will see that is accomplished how you want it to be. For our wedding, they let us transform the space into a Mexico City inspired space, complete with hanging papel picados a wall of milagros. When there was an issue with something being missing from our DJs equipment (rented from a different company), the owner Mike went out of his way to find it for us. To say that they were outstanding, accommodating, and generous hosts is a profound understatement.If you are getting married in the Hudson Valley, this is place to do it.
