This is a lovely park to explore, take a boat ride, ride the locks, listen to the symphony and catch the trail into town.

I absolutely love this place! I hope to make a lot more trips here during the summer! Its a huge park with beautiful views (and birding sights!) and its a great visit no matter what time of the year - its my favorite! :-)

Hidden gem along the Hudson just outside of Schuylerville. Plenty of trails and views across the river, the canal and the original canal and towpath. A lovely 1.5 mile walk along the towpath gets you to the center of town. Enjoy the peace, watch the boats move through the lock, or enjoy fishing with the family.

Nice park with family and pet friendly trails around the perimeter of this small island on the Hudson river. Approximately 2 mile perimeter and several points of environmental and historical interest along the trail. A small young children play area and picnic tables near the car park.

Beautiful park for nature walk and some history too! Love it here. Outdoor concerts here as well(on the smaller side and always safety conscious🙂)

I have to give the town of Schuylerville to make the lock into a nice park for the towns people, you can hike, fish, picnic, playgrounds, take a boat rids plus visit a historical place. all this in a nice area. i thought we would do a quick hike and be on our way but we spent at least 3 hour enjoying the morning.

This place is great! Worth stopping if youre in the area, and enough to see to make a trip of it all on its own. Ive been a few times and still havent seen everything here. The play area and gardens near the back parking lot are great. Loved that somebody set up a kindness rocks project at the entrance there. Just an all-around cool place to explore on a nice day.

Very nice place. Clean and a few different trails to walk. You can bring your animals and they even have places for puppy poo placed around for clean up which is great! It also has a covered area with tables so you can bring food and have a picnic. Great area to travel.

Great place to fish from shore, launch a kayak, take a walk or bike ride. Clean and never too busy.

Nice place for some privacy. Not that many people know about this area. Not a huge place but the landscape is varied enough for exploration with kids and pets. Relaxing.
