We finally made it Hudson Tacos 🌮 and this place is everything I heard from folks and then some more. We ordered guacamole as a starter and we ordered mixed it up for tacos - ahi, pork, shrimp, steak and fish. The fish and ahi was my two favorites …… shrimp is good but not as good as tuna and fish. The fist round we ordered 14 tacos and the second round 16. They are small but packed with tons on flavors and you just can’t stop eating. Service was really spot on and they even allow pets on the outdoor patio. Hudson Taco is a perfect place for summer hangouts with friends and family. Not sure if you can have a big group in the outdoor seating because the tables are picnic style and only fits group of 4. I can’t wait to see what you think of this place…… go give it a try and show them some love.
The food here is honestly exceptional, and I will keep coming back even though the experience is always a panic attack waiting to happen. It’s a trendy taco place with an incredible view and fun industrial vibe that for some reason has chosen to have the ambiance of a night club. It is always packed and they don’t take reservations, so prepare to wait. The first time we went we ended up sitting at the bar. The food came out at all different times and their system seems to be a bit unorganized. We’d watch waiters bringing our dishes out and attempting to give them to multiple other customers before realizing it was ours. Honesty it was *kind of* a turnoff seeing them put our food in front of the faces of random strangers who would inspect the food and say it wasn’t theirs… didn’t feel to be the safest approach in the middle of a pandemic… but we are choosing to eat out so I guess it’s on us. Anyway… the food IS great. I highly recommend the street corn. I’d also suggest coming at an early time on a week night with hopes to get a table and not sit at the bar
Now I’ve been to a very similar restaurant when it comes to its offerings and menu options. Hudson Taco does it way better. There will always be a wait. Parking was simple due to lot available and ample street parking but it’s busy so prepare for that. The food was all fresh and very tasty. Pictured are their appetizers such as fresh pineapple, tuna tartare, street corn and ceviche. The tacos pictured are their Asian Tuna taco which was just like a fresh sushi roll that was wrapped in bib lettuce. The drinks were interesting because you couldn’t customize much but I was able to add rum to their mango pineapple juice and it the perfect summer drink. Refreshing and sweet but not too sugary. Service was attentive even though it was packed but totally worth the wait if you’re in the mood for some good tacos and drinks.
Excellent service, after ordering the food arrives to your table FAST (a no BS 5-10mins), the specials do not disappoint (including tacos, not tacos, drinks and desserts). The staff is attentive and professional. The ambiance is fun and relaxed. You place your order, as a table, on a check box style card. The arrives family style with the entire order on trays.
Went this past Friday night, it was slammed over an hour wait, as they dont take reservations. However, Paul (one of the managers) and his staff were on point. Chose to wait at the bar, and was served drinks promptly, bartenders are good, at what they do. They didnt have my first few drinks of choice, but to be fair they are relatively new choices of the liquor I drink. Little pricey for the drinks, but decently made. When we did finally get to sit down at our table we were greeted by our server. Paul came around to see how we were doing, several times even with running the restaurant. The food was delicious, on point with the price. Overall if you got the time to spare for the wait, if there is one, check out Hudson Taco 🌮 right on the waterfront in Newburgh.
This 4th of July I took my girlfriend and her kids to Hudson Taco. My girlfriend asked for $14 drink that sounded good but after one sip she didnt like. I asked our very nice waitress if we could switch the drink to something my girlfriend was familiar with. She consulted the manager Chanel. We were told the $14 drink my girlfriend didnt like would not be able to be switched. We would have to order a another drink.Ill let you decide what that communicates.
Delicious food with relaxing atmosphere. Would highly recommend! Be sure to get a variety of tacos and other menu options to truly enjoy the experience. If there is a long wait... which there will be since the food is so good... grab a seat at the bar and enjoy a delicious margarita!
The service was great and the waitress was super sweet and explained how everything worked. It was different how you order things since you use your phone to scan to look at the menu and then mark a sheet on what you want. The food came out fresh and fast. It was a great experience for our first time. My only thing is I wish they were a bit more attentive about refilling drinks. It was hot outside and we were not offered any refills on drinks 😒 so that was the only down side. We sat there a long time since we had met up for lunch since we had not seen each other in a couple years due to covid so it would have been nice to have gotten more refills on drinks. The food was great and on point. Sitting outside was also nice to. It was a great view and you get to see the train go by. Definitely give this place a shot and save some room for the dessert 🍨😋
Hudson Taco is an excellent restaurant. The ambiance is second to none. Sitting on the back porch area allows great views of the Hudson and the train track are right below the restaurant. The place is filled with wait staff so there is not much down time one youre seated. We airways get the Guac + Roja + Verde as an app and then use the left over sauce for our tacos. The BEST item on this menu is the Empanada! I couldnt get a picture due to my family digging in as soon s they were placed on the table. The Asian Tuna Taco is their best Taco followed by General Tsos, Skirt Steak, and BBQ Short Rib. The reason I did not give it a star is because the Baja Fish Taco and the Chicken Taco were lacking any flavor and the Churros were a little soggy. All in all, I highly recommend this place.
A great taco spot with amazing views of the Hudson River! Service was quick and our waitress was friendly. Some tacos were definitely better than others (loved the fish tacos and mushroom tacos, while the crab cake one was dry and the chicken one just didn’t pack a whole lot of flavor). Would definitely go back though!
Great food, great waitstaff, fun atmosphere. Thoughtful and caring staff. Informed my waiter, Kevin, I had severe fish allergies. He reviewed each item I ordered with me to let me know if it was safe to eat or needed to change selection. Very impressive. Highly recommend to others.
OMG INCREDIBLE!This food deserves to in magazines! The tacos were made perfectly, and they felt super authentic (because they were). The hot sauce bottles on the table were also super good to try on all the tacos. The staff was friendly and it was overall such a great visit. We had an awesome time and look forward to visiting again!Overall Rating: 10/10
Great view and atmosphere. The family style plating takes some getting use too....better remember what you ordered. Slightly pricey but we were hungry...our late lunch averaged $35/pp with tax/tip and we all left full (no alcohol)Biker friendly! Went with the US Military Vets MC, Hudson valley chapter
We come here a lot but today after we ordered we were told computer system went down. Our waitress Alexa (who was very sweet) explained to us what happened. My husband who asked for a manager to speak to. Joe (the manager) came over and after talking to us very respectfully said he would see what he can do to get our order in. Joe and Alexa went well beyond and did manage to get our order through. We were so grateful.😊 I highly recommend this restaurant for the food which is excellent plus the service and friendlyness of staff is tops!!😋👍
This is one of the best restaurants I have EVER been to. I give a lot of well deserved 5 stars to a lot of restaurants I have reviewed. I wish I could give thos place 6, maybe 7. I honestly think that this place would have something for everyone food wise.Service is unbelievably friendly and fast yet never rushed. I will be planning a family outing so that my entire family came experience this place. I visited this area for business and I will return here for pleasure.
The sat us right away, they greet us. They explain how the ordering works because it was out first time here. Our waiter had patience a explained everything. My husband and I order tacos, chicken, beef, carnitas, and general Tso. They were amazing!! I forgot to take a picture, I couldn’t wait! We also order guacamole, it was delicious I would def come back again!
I was excited to try this place out. The view, vibe and atmosphere were great. All I can say about the food is: if it’s on a tortilla, you can call it a taco. I was expecting to experience really good Mexican food - this, however, was not the case. The flavor was ok and you’ll end up paying a lot for a little.
I was pleasantly surprised. I dont remember it being this delicious when I went last year. Really enjoyed it, and although I loved getting seated right away, I would have given five stars if the tables were slightly more spaced apart and it didnt feel so crowded walking to and away from our table.
I still think about this place 🥺 best tacos I have ever had, soup was amazing. The cost was fair and everything was very fresh! It was super hard to get in and get parking but we made it!I have yet to find a bar taco type place like this near me. Anytime I am out that way Im begging to go to Hudson taco.
I found myself in Newburgh with two hours to kill and thought Id stop in for a quick bite. It was jammed with people! I was so surprised when I walked in because it was a Monday at 6:30! Then I tasted the food and understood. All the tacos I had were incredible and they were very good about my dairy allergy. The drinks were fantastic too and the bartenders were quick and friendly!
Great food, service was good, beautiful views! We were able to order as the food came (and went), very laid back, and reasonable portions. Only drawback was the loud music, when I say loud, I mean it was hard to hear the person next to me in the booth. Maybe for a younger crowd? Food was definitely worth the tinnitus flare up though.
I must say the ambiance and decor is very beautiful. The service was excellent as well. but I feel like the food could be better and also more hot sauces would be nice hot sauce options is important especially for a taco joint. I did also enjoyed the beef empanada stuffing.
Amazing view!! Awesome vibe!! The drinks were delicious!!!! We had the Cantarito (just wow!), the Summer Water (delicious!), melon margarita (this one was strong!) and the Tallulah Love (this one was a bit disappointing. Tasted a little medicinal). The tacos were okay! And the featured Not Tacos: the grilled octopus had incredible flavor and the pork belly chicharrones deserve some type of award!
The location is very convenient and there is ample parking. The building is very cool and inside is big with modern decor and a nice view of the Hudson. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Our waiter was patient with us as it was our first time there. There is a variety of soft tacos to choose from and they are very small so you can order as many as you want. He offered his recommendations and described the food to us. The food came out so quick! I recommend ordering a little at a time...we didnt and there was no room on the table! Lol. Everything was soo delicious!!! Even the aqua fresca! I will def come back!!
Very innovative street tacos (loved the mushroom one) in a fantastic setting along the Hudson River in a former train depot. The occasional freight train rumbling past was part of the charm as was the very, very distant view of the prison on the opposite shore of the Hudson. This is a great place to go after visiting the Storm King sculpture park.
Upscale and delicious is all you need to know about this place. The atmosphere is dark and cozy with the bar being the center piece. In the summer time you can have beautiful views of the Hudson River. The cocktails are good but they truly shine with their tacos! These are gourmet tacos that are made with good ingredients and are made to order. Sit back and let your taste buds enjoy the meal.
Another favorite place in Newburgh. I have been to Hudson Taco many times, every time we have tried different tacos and they are all on point. The only draw back is that depending on the time be ready to wait special at night. The service is very attentive and the mix drinks are so delicious. I havent sat at the bar but the views are great specially if you get to seat outside in the summer. Definitely a great place to go have drinks and eat some great tacos.
Beautiful outdoor seating overlooking the river. Polite service and great food! All those needed to make a great restaurant! I ordered corn salad, guac roja Verde, and a few tacos. As a vegetarian I was very impressed since they nailed the food! The drinks were pretty good too.
Hudson Taco used to be an amazing spot with great food. Its definitely not what it used to be. The tacos have changed. The chorizo taco used to be crumbled chorizo, seasoned and so hot (temperature) that the smell lingered at your nose. Now, its chunks of cold chorizo on thin tortilla. They didnt fail on the baja fish or citrus shrimp tacos. Those were still👌🏾. The drinks are good too...just less ice. The grapefruit mojito and classic margaritas are the best drinks there!
An awesome restaurant in the historic Newburgh railroad station which was beautifully restored from a sadly crumbling mess, to a charming little Taco Restaurant! I went in the afternoon, mid week and was seated immediately at a table for two, overlooking the river. The place is fairly small, and I understand that it gets packed on the weekends, and I understand why! The food is very well prepared, well seasoned and very fresh. The tacos are quite small, but packed with flavors, and I really wanted to taste them all, alas, I was filled to the brim with two tacos, chicken soup, and fantastically delicious guacamole that comes with very large chips that you get to break up into just the perfect size for you! Overall worth it!
First time visit. Suggested by co-worker. A line started forming at 11:35am before opening a 12:00pm. Nice view of the Hudson. Outdoor seating is available. Tacos are small and tasty but there are bowls. My favorites were the cauliflower and Baja fish. General Tso chicken and crab cake are close seconds.
Very good food. Only complaint is its a bit pricey for one taco. I guess thats what you get for waterfront food. They are Fancy tacos . Regardless, staff very friendly. Their service system is very great and if youre looking for good quality and dont mind spending a bit. This is the place
Delicious and the service was awesome. Great views from the balcony and outside patio. Outside patio has heaters.Crab tacos 🌮Shrimp tacos🌮Red snapper tacos 🌮Baja tacos 🌮Margaritas 🍹🍹Korean bbq tacos 🌮Chicken tacos🌮Steak tacos 🌮And my new favorite taco tee-shirtAnd if you get margaritas, upgrade the tequila, they will taste better
My family had invited friends to came and eat with us at Hudson Tacos bad mistake , kids eat tacos and empanadas , as we had the Tacos and empanadas , the empanadas tasted funny but we eat them at the time , figuring the other tacos and seasonings contributed to the taste buds , well we all went home that night was not fun including our friend s we all were regurgitating and going number two all night with stomach cramps,Called to talk to a manager a young hostess picked up and put me on hold for 1/2 hr. Called again the same thing . So I am posting our experience at this place , was a negative experience
The hosts were very welcoming and informative about the wait. We waited to get a patio table for the wonderful view. The server was very helpful in explaining the family style ordering. Also very attentive to refilling water and taking our order in a timely manner. I tried all the tacos and I enjoyed each one.
The food was quite good. Loved the substitution for .25 for the bib lettuce as opposed to the taco. The loaded guac was overpriced. Didnt think that was amazing, but because it had cream they are able to price it up to$15. The pork belly tacos are really good though. 2nd fav taco was the crab cake. No happy hour 😭. Drinks were not that strong in terms of cocktails. Overall the ambiance was great as it was neat the water. Shout it to the music that was playing. Not sure if it was a dj or just a playlist, but the music was so good. Super on point and even the tradition between songs were great.
Lively place. This is a stop you need to make. Very active atmosphere. Full bar service. Be prepared to wait for a table, yet once seated and your order goes in...zap!..food starts arriving. It is served when it is ready, not when all table orders are complete. Simple, non-fussy food that is flavorful. We found it relatively inexpensive for our taste. Nicely decorated and furnished, with great river views. Trendy, but definitely not snobby. A definite repeat is in order.
Pretty much amazing. This was such a great idea. Family style serving and fast. The mixed drinks are incredible. Jalapeno Margarita and tequila old fashioned are a delicious. Tacos come out so fast and incredible. The are on the smaller side but fantastic. Try this place out if you get a chance it wont disappoint. Its always packed right now but its worth the wait and you get out fast.
Beautiful restaurant, nice open feel with a terrific view of the hudson. Friendly staff is familiar with the menu and makes great suggestions. Amazing, extra delicious, food. Im a huge fan of street tacos, I particularly enjoyed the pork belly taco. Will definitely be returning again.
Food was okay, we had almost one of each taco and a tuna thing. Drinks were great, vulcano and melon margaritas. As you can see though, it wasnt much, but the total came out to $80 before tips. Anyone whos ever has street tacos might think this is a bit pricy, which would be easy to overlook if the food was more than okay but it wasnt. Nothing stuck out as bad because nothing stuck out at all. Not to mention, the atmosphere was really cramped (probably because they put us at a tiny wobbly table in the middle of the restaurant). I asked to be moved twice and was told Ill check for you and never got an answer, I dont know if the blatant disregard was because we were younger but it seemed like there were plenty of other seats available. To top it off, people came by several times to clear food off our table WHILE WE WERE STILL EATING. Anyone who has even been 10 feet of a restaurant knows that this is unacceptable. The margaritas were superb though, mixed and garnished perfectly. I just wish that there was more than 5 sips in a glass.
This place is new and their service model is unique. We were seated quickly and the waiter explained how to get our food. The food was brought quickly and holy cow what an experience. The Korean bbq shortrib taco was definitely my favorite but the empenadas were out of this world!!
Went here with the family and all I can say is BELIEVE the hype. The atmosphere is contemporary with high energy aided by great music. We really enjoyed the food coming out from the kitchen as it was prepared. The food selection was excellent with enough options to meet just about anyones palate. We ordered 24 tacos with various fillings. For beef lovers, the shaved Rib Eye and Korean BBQ Shortrib were delicious. We also shared a few Empanadas which everyone loved. Some even ordered more after we polished off the tacos. The wait staff definitely hustle and were all friendly, knowledgable and helpful. This is a busy place so be prepared to wait or pick an off time to go which is what we did. We will definitely be back real soon.
Tried to get seating for a large party and was told as per the restaurant policy they cannot take reservations....which is fine ... but then when asked about seating with eachother, they said that may not be possible either. Keep in mind they would have 20 hours notice to make this possible. Very disappointed with managements demeanor and tone.
Super delicious Tacos, be prepared to order a lot of them, 3-4 bites and its gone, but thats not a bad thing. From crab cake tacos, fryed chicken tacos, and pork belly tacos thats just few out of many delicious choices, and yes you can substitute for lettuce as well, so everyone can enjoy. Make sure you give your self time to wait in line this place is very popular and they are busy. They will put you on a list sometimes telling you it might be 30 -45 minites to be seated but the last time I went and they told me that, I got a message from them not even within 10 minutes that the table was ready and I was able to enjoy the delicious tacos :D.
Don’t let the long wait deter you, it’s worth it and the food flies once you sit down. My recommendation, have at least one of everything on the menu, seriously! From the guacamole to the empanadas to the tacos to the churros, the flavors are full and distinct. Located in the old train station on the waterfront, the scenery couldn’t be better. The waitstaff super friendly and attentive. Best new restaurant in the Valley!1 large guacamole, 5 empanadas, 3 street corns, 9 tacos, 12 churros, 1 mojito, and 1 margarita - $125 with tax and tip.
Casual dining with a fancy view= this very place. Expect a wait during weekend lunch hours. The tacos are small but reasonably priced, so you can get 4-5 around $10-$12.50. The street corn is so good. Will definitely come back for more fun casual gatherings and enjoying the view- I bet the summer it will be more busy! 🌽🥑🌮
A meal I’ll be dreaming about for days. Let’s start with the Tuna Poke. Drooling just thinking about it. Then we got a plethora of tacos (Asian Taco pictured) and I feel like each bite got better and better. We ended with churros (pictured) and we couldn’t leave a crumb on the table. And then on top of it, service is great, shout out to our server Danielle!! Thanks for a great evening...we will be back MANY times!
Beautiful space, great music, cool ambiance BUT bland food. I really really wanted to like this place but unfortunately I couldn’t! My tacos (4 different kinds) were so bland with an exception of the Korean rib, I had to ask for salt because there wasn’t any at my table. Our waitress Amber was super sweet. The guac was so fresh but had no salt and the fresh onions they put on as a garnish was too overpowering. However, if you find yourself here ORDER THE EMPANADAS! The most flavorful item on the menu that I tried. Oh and the “street corn” was a mix of sour cream and mayo instead of original Mexican crema which is what should be used on actual elotes (Mexican street corn). We couldn’t finish the corn and Amber graciously removed them from our bill. Please season your cod before battering it, it would make a world of difference! I probably won’t be returning.
Excellent food, service, and views. My picky kids loved the quesadilla, taco, and corn on the cob! Our favorite taco was the Korean short rib. Street corn off the cob was amazing. Thank you for the military discount! Kids loved seeing the train go by and we loved the view of the Hudson.
Good food (but not great). Hip atmosphere, industrial decor. It was a good experience overall. Think street tacos...everything is sold a la carte, smallish portions but reasonably priced. Similar in theme to Port Chesters Bar Taco, but doesnt have the same Baja feel to it. The bar was on point...the drinks had a unique flourish and delightfully potent. Waitress was fantastic. I cant remember her name but it was the best service my wife and I had in years.
It may have been that this is my first time in a restaurant in MONTHS …. But the experience at Hudson Taco was PERFECT. We were spaced out, masks on through door to seats, servers masked, the tables and booths were wiped between customers leaving AND THE FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE. Delicious, fresh, savory, tangy, food and excellent drinks…in a big beautiful rehabbed train depot…on the water. The food is divine!!! It’s a bar/2 tv’s set up, with booths, tables and big windows to the water view. Contemporary and welcoming. We are definitely going back. Well done, HT!
Nice atmosphere. Friendly and attentive service by everyone we interacted with. My wife and I each had 5 tacos and a few appetizers. Everything tasted fabulous!Good beer selection (Sloop Juice Bomb Rules!) and I had the 123 tequila flight for dessert. Looking forward to our next visit.
Was here last night for my 2nd time in a long time, and I dont know why I didnt get back sooner. Everything here was on point. Sat at the bar, ordered a ton of goodies, drinks, and the bartenders are awesome! Get here and dont wait like I did, well be back real soon no doubt.
I didnt ate here, but next door, at the pizza place, however, it was disappointing going there and find out that all the outdoors dining area belongs to Hudson Taco, but bot to the Pizza Shop, which turns out to have printed everywhere PIZZA SHOP, as seen in the pictures, not Hudson Taco.Great pizza, bad signage.
Our go to place in Newburgh! Excellent vibe, yummy seasonal as well as traditional cocktails and very tasty eats with beautiful views of the Hudson river. Served small plate sized so you can get a taste of everything or customize to your liking. Food comes out as its ready from the kitchen so dont expect everything you ordered to come out at once. The dessert churrosare a fun treat with both chocolate and raspberry dipping sauces.
Atmosphere is amazing. Seriously the high ceilings and huge window giving a view to the Hudson River are breath taking. The waitress was attentive and the food came to our table in a timely manner. The street corn and chips and guac I would certainly recommend. Also, I think their empanadas are real good. However, I was disappointed with their tacos. The soft shell was very chewy and did not taste fresh or authentic. Id definitely give this spot a second chance to explore the menu some more.
Loved this place before the pandemic. But they can’t seem to get orders right. This time they graciously gave me a second meal when the first was wrong, but then even that order, again asked for sauce on the side, was drenched in the sauce… Food is inconsistent: One week tacos are packed, the next it’s an expensive barely two biter, that is if they pack them all. Time to explore some alternative taco places in area.
Yasssss. The drinks are amazing and so is the food. They play great music and the staff is very friendly. The best time to visit is happy hour. The tacos are very small so order more than 2. That tequila flight though. Oh man is that so good. Will return time and time again.
Great atmosphere! My kids loved the music. I would give the overall all customer experience 5 stars. Our Waitress Tenaj walked us through the menu along with her recommendations. She Provided her insight on their vegetarian options for my daughter. This was our first time and it will not be our last time.Order plenty of tacos as the tacos are small. Reason why I gave it a 4 instead of 5, they should have the prime rib taco as part of their menu instead of a special. This was the best taco on the menu.
What a great spot! Staff is really friendly and the food is awesome. I lived in SD and got to experience authentic mexican and this place reminds me of one of my favorite spots over there. Great modern flavor combinations for the tacos. Reasonable prices. Tacos are small but just more reason to order all the kinds you want to try. Mexican street corn could have used more mayo or butter but otherwise tasty. The margs were delicious. Desserts were also pretty tasty. I saw towards the end they had Agua Fresca, which are my favorite. Definitely going to have to try that next time. Dont expect to come in here for your typical nasty tex mex. This place is way better and anyone whos experienced street tacos would agree although they are on the smaller side.
Food is great, service is excellent, and the place has a good atmosphere. The tacos are small so youll need a few to make a meal, but it also gives you a chance to try a variety. I had the Korean BBQ bowl which was tasty but not very spicy. Would definitely eat there again.
Place is very well put together, staff is great, music is amazing. This is more of a tapas place to get a quick eat but nonetheless the food is really good. Drinks are a little pricey but well worth it! Definetely coming here again. Just dont expect to get seated right away on a weekend :-) the wait is at least 1-2 hours!
Excellent service by the whole staff. Delicious, varied food served remarkably quickly and efficiently. Lots of interesting flavors. Great grapefruit mojito and suggested tap beer. Terrific decor synnergysed perfectly the dynamic ambiance. Thank you for a great experience from a taco-savvy southern Californias crew :)
Had the Shrimp Ceviche ($11.00) and it was incredibly fresh and well made: the ingredients are citrus, tomato and serrano aguachile, olives, onions, avocado and a ton of cut up small shrimp. They serve it with free tostada sized totopos (chips) that are perfect for putting the shrimp ceviche on. I add some of their super fresh and tasty guacamole and thats a meal. If you like shrimp you will love this dish. Highly recommended.Gluten FreeUpdate 4/12/22: Had Papis chicken, a rotissierie chicken spiced and cooked perfectly. It made my tummy feel better as I have been suffering from some stomach ailment. Got fresh cut, sweet pineapple and the always incredibly fresh and delicious guacamole. You should, too!
I enjoyed everything I tasted. We shared the guacamole+chips appetizer. The tacos are small and have soft shells (mini burrito-like), not the type youd get from taco bell. I had 3 different kinds of taco plus an empanada and a drink. I was sufficiently full without feeling overly stuffed. I definitely recommend the beef empanada- it was delicious!!
Wish I could give this place 10 stars! Very similar to Bartaco in lower NY & CT but 10x better. Food is extremely fresh and prompt service. They have a pet friendly patio too with heat lamps. One thing to keep in mind though is that its right by the train tracks so it can be a little noisy at times but it has an incredible view so its worth it.
This is 4 Hudson Toco....Im rewriting this Re view Because after leaving the Hudson Toco and getting booted for the 3rd time in 2 months and I truly try to give people the benefit of a doubt...But the manager did hook me up with nice chicken breast... So instead of 1 star I give them or him 3...😇
WARNING ⛔️ DO NOT ENTER!!!!With a name like “Hudson TACOS” you would think at least they would make their corn tortillas fresh, but everything was frozen and and tasteless. Well, unless you like the taste of lettuce wrapped in a rubbery microwave flour tortilla with just a hint of the TAPAS because that’s what the menu said. Also, BEWARE if you have a food allergy because the servers don’t listen when ordering.Save your hard earn money and go to a real authentic Hispanic restaurant you will find better tasting food and your bill will be half the price.
The food was absolutely amazing, I would recommend the cola pork tacos and Korean short rib tacos. The street corn was so delicious too! The only complaint I have was that the grilled octopus has this weird mash of tomatoes and lobster beneath the skewers. The lobster was not good, but the octopus itself was tasty and tender just too overpriced for two skewers on a weird mash of other stuff.
This is the coolest spot! We met Paul, the manager, who is amazing, friendly, and down to earth. He checked in on us and mades sure that our experience was wonderful. The service was impeccable- everyone was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The food deserves every star! It is fresh, delish, and filling. Anytime we are in the area, this is our spot!
Extremely loud environment, the music is BLASTING IN here and it’s so difficult trying to have a conversation without screaming over the pop music. The food is pretty good but for the price it is really not worth it…the tacos are one bite and gone. The “entrees” they have as well are bowls and etcetera, which are super small as well, about enough to fit in my very small hand. I think all the food is a little overpriced and the environment is suffocating so not a great date or small group location.I really like that the way is order is by paper and pencil at the table, scan a code for the menu, and the waitress will pick up the paper when you put the card in a holder. For people with social anxiety this is great. Overall not a place I would return to unless I was really craving fusion tacos.
I drove more than an hour to get to this place and was not disappointed. Our waitress was very attentive and accommodating. I tried a few tacos and think the best ones were the Cola Pork Carnitas, Mushroom and Shishito, Korean BBQ Shortrib, and Citrus Shrimp Taco. Please order the corn salad, which is a generous portion and the fried sweet plantains....which were the best ones I have had in my life.. and I had a bunch.
1 hour and 45 wait to be seated when the place closes in two hours is some crazy number. I had to pass. Maybe the place is just that good. But they don’t even have a bar area where you can sit and wait for your table. Make sure you make reservations if you want to visit. Will try them again and update this review. Maybe I’ll be able to eat this time.5/22 updateOk this is my update. The food is very good. We had like 15 tacos. Some were better than the others, but overall they were all good. And the service is good as well. Our waiter was very relaxed and attentive. Eating next to the huge open windows with views of the Hudson is a plus. The only downside is the cargo trains passing by every 10 minutes. We were there for about an hour and 5 trains passed by. Some with construction debris. But I guess that is something they can’t control.
All the food waa great. At forst seemed like very small portions but were fulfilling. Ordered the large guacamole to share between my wife and I.She ordered 4 tacos (they are small: 2- Baja fish, 1- chicken, and 1 mushroom veg) and a paradose margerota with sugar on the rim.I ordered the korean bbq bowl over quinoa. Side order of plantains and finished it with a Wicked Witch Stout beer on tap.Service and food were great.
This is the biggest upside surprise of any restaurant we have visited on the East Coast this year. The food and service were so good we forgot to take photos 📸. Stand outs are the Guac, the charred curried corn salad the Koren BBQ Taco [my wifes contribution 😋] and the mushrooms and 🌶 taco. However everything was at least very good. Will go back soon to add photos and variety to this review. Oh, and order the Churros or miss out on heaven on earth.
The place has a very nice look. However, the chicken tacos we ordered were surprisingly small and had little imagination. It seemed it was just chopped chicken, some diced onions and thats it from what I could tell. Just no flavor. The guacamole was decent with partly stale chips. Lastly, sitting at the bar you have to contend with the fruit flies as your unwelcome guests. Nice views and the design of the place is pretty cool.
This was amazing! First off the vibe was so good. Service was also great. We went with our family of 7 (5 kids) and the menu was able to cater to each child. I have children with allergies so it was nice to see a menu that they can equally enjoy. It was our first time there tonight and I already told my husband this wont be the last time. Great job guys!

2022-05-25Hudson Taco is an excellent restaurant located right in the Hudson Valley. This establishment is very conveniently located with ample parking available. Next door there’s an Ice cream and pizza shop. Definitely have to try those next time I’m in the area. The ambiance is stunning with a modern home like feel. Sitting on the back porch area allows breathtaking views of the Hudson River and the train track right below the restaurant. Staff are very attentive and friendly! They explained how the ordering process worked since it was our first time here. Food was delicious and fresh, it’s very affordable as well! On the other hand, It’s usually packed and they don’t take reservations so prepare to wait on the weekends. Definitely stop by if wanting to try yummy tacos and pleasurable atmosphere!!

2022-05-21First time at Hudson Taco and I was not disappointed. It got very busy right after we arrived, probably partially due to the graduation weekend. Nonetheless, the service was speedy and excellent. For my comfort level, it got a bit too noisy for a good conversation.Food and drinks were great, I’ll be back!

2022-07-05Tasty tacos, and nice to have interesting ethnic variations like Korean BBQ (delish) as well as gluten free options served as lettuce wraps instead of tortillas. Margaritas were also tasty and views of the Hudson were a bonus. Even though we sat along the open windows on the patio facing the river, it was still quite loud. Prices were just right, too.

2022-05-05This was such a fun and scrumptious meal! The taco fillings were glazed with all sorts of flavors...some savory and some sweet. Everything we ordered got better and better as they were brought out. I recommend you taste it all!

2022-04-10Great time and omg food comes so quick including the drink. We actually never waited more than 5 min for anything except for the table. On a Saturday noon hour, we hang out at the bar for over a hour and it is an amazing time. Good vibe with the bar setting and attentive bartenders. The drinks are strong as well as delicious. I got tipsy after a quarter of the margarita. Guc and chip is very well portion but definitely could use some lime and salt. For a table of 8, we got out table after a hour waiting for everyone to get there. We enjoy the pork belly taco the most. About any taco is just as delicious.

2022-02-15Great environment in the dining area, the sunroom tables right next to the train tracks, and its a fun surprise when the train runs by.They have Friendly, very fast service and the food was quite good. We were seated fast during the busy late lunch seating even as we were a party of 8.The street corn was off the charts good. It had great spice and a silky sweet taste in every bite. Too much of my surprise, I enjoyed more of the Asian cuisine-style tacos than I did the traditional ones. I thought the carnitas, chicken, and asada were good but no better than Ive had at other places. The Chinese pork belly, general tsos, and Korean BBQ tacos were incredible. Highly recommended.

2022-03-10Tacos are fresh and yummy. Friendly, efficient staff provide fast service. Cocktails are fabulous. Atmosphere is vibrant and the crowd very diverse in every possible way.. which makes a great relaxing vibe. Music is incredible. I keep telling the hostess that a Thursday night pre-weekend mixer with music and bar service only from 11pm-1:30am —is the way to go. A small cover-charge would be worth the ambiance.

2022-02-07Amazing food and great service. It can get a little busy, especially around dinnertime so get there early or just hang out cause its definitely worth waiting for. Small portions so you can try lots of different things. Its a little pricey but definitely worth it, great very tastey food and very good drinks too. Definitely reccomend trying this place out if you havent before, its worth it!
