Paul is great to work with. Sat down with me and explained the issue with my laptop and how to fix it.Good prices, quick work and no jerking around. Hes like a good car mechanic, hard to find but when you do, you want to make sure others go to him and avoid the hassle of other scummy repair shops.
They did a great job at a good price fixing an older iMac I brought in. Someone wrote that Paul is the definition of a computer wiz. Well I think its important to note that hes the also definition of competent.I wish the company I work for had more computers to bring in to them. Paul changed out the grease and did a full cleaning of the machine. He also showed me pictures of the whole process (the actual process of doing my particular machine) which casted away any hint of skepticism I had. It worked. The machine runs so much better. Very quick turnaround time too and they actually give you followup calls.
Hands down the best service I could have asked for. I came to Paul with my pc in dire need of repair and in no time at all my pc went from barely being able to run a single start up program to being lightning fast with absolutely no issues whatsoever. Its like having an entirely new computer. I highly recommend him for any computer problems you may be facing.
Im so glad I was able to find someone in my area to fix my Macbook as I was told numerous times by Apples Genius bar that my computer was ancient and I might as well spend another thousand dollars on a new one. I do not take no for an answer and Im extremely happy Paul was able to tell me yes I can fix it he gave me peace of mind knowing I wasnt going to lose my computer...well my files which is what I was panicking about. My computer has been running very hot and after contacting a couple computer repair services most recommended I buy a new computer. As it was only 2 years old that seemed unnecessary but Paul from HVC said he could do a thermal re-paste. The computer now runs great! Knowledgeable and affordable
I cant say enough about the service at Hudson Valley Computers. When I had a problem with my laptop, I was able to drop it off and have it fixed within hours. On a Sunday, no less! Very pleasant to deal with and fantastic response time -- not to mention great work!

HVC Took my old dead desktop and turned it into a gaming and business workload powerhouse. It runs better than out of the Factory from Dell!! With every question I had, Mr. Livorsi answered with a swiftness and finesse, so grand, it is hard to say any competitor in the Hudson Valley area has a chance. I don’t know so much about computers so when my computer is acting up my first call is to HVC and I get to speak to the owner who is also the head tech. No bs, no runaround just good solid info and repair at what I think is very good pricing. Did I mention 48 hour turn around most of the time if he has the parts on hand?
Paul was fantastic! He got everything fixed up for an unbelievably reasonable price on top of teaching me a few things about my computer so I can use it more efficiently. I would certainly recommend.
Excellent service! After a brief discussion of my computers symptoms Paul narrowed the problem down got it up and running better than before. The fastest service Ive ever had with a pc problem. Highly recommend them!
These guys are great. Computers have their ups and downs, and theyll stick with you until its right. Thats important because Ive found a job isnt always done until its done, and they wont leave you high and dry. Fun to work with, and they know what theyre doing!

This guy knows his stuff. My computer was running abnormally slowing, And the fan was always on. He really fixed it right up. It took him an hour. I was really satisfied with the speed... of his work and my computer!

2021-01-02Paul literally saved my life, not literally, but he might as well have.I purchased a 2017 iMac off of a Deal of the Month special on B&H about 2 years ago. It had a regular HD hard drive, and 3 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5 processor with 8GB of ram. I did some research prior and found this to be fine for what I needed, (music production, and light photo editing.)From day one, out of the box this thing was really slow, and overtime got way worse. Long story short I took it to another shop and they basically factory reset the drive and it was a little faster, but only for a few days. At its worst, this computer would take on average 30-40 seconds to open up an app if another app was already open. It would give me beachballs sometimes when I tried to backspace, and overall basic functionality would take ridiculously long. I knew the hard drive wasnt an SSD or Fusion, but even so, the lag times were questionable.I called Paul and he was able to in depth explain that some of the 2017 models were just unfortunately installed with a really low quality drive, and that I basically just got screwed. This wasnt the craziest problem a computer could have, but Pauls clear and in depth explanation of the problem, and how he was going to fix it was professional and reassuring. He took the computer apart, and reinstalled a better drive in a super timely fashion for a very fair price. The difference is night and day, and I cant thank him enough for his kindness and professionalism.If you need anything done, definitely check out Hudson Valley Computers. They really know what theyre doing.

2017-02-20I originally called Paul because he was nearby and I needed my PC fixed fast. It appeared to be a power supply issue which he confirmed and recommended a supply that would handle my needs and be in my price range. He installed it and returned the PC to me very quickly as I need it for work. Fast forward 5 months to beginning of this month. The PC which is 6-7 years old suffered a catastrophic failure of the motherboard. Rather than buying a new desktop, I wanted to upgrade. After giving him my requirements, Paul was able to give me a few different builds that would be in my budget and give me some real processing power (my son and I like gaming), and last for several years. He even recommended that I order the parts and have them delivered to him so that I could benefit from my credit card (Amazon) points bonuses. He did a really good job in a very short time and even contacted me a few days later to make sure everything was running smoothly. I highly recommend Hudson Valley Computers services.

2015-11-19Paul took my old Macbook and made it run better than new! He put new grease on the CPU and Motherboard and now it runs a lot cooler and faster than before. My laptop was loaded with garbage and needed some help! Paul was quick and knowledgeable about how to go about servicing my mac and about computers in general. Next time I buy a computer, I will definitely be calling Hudson Valley Computers to build it! Local Service and Quality!

2015-10-06Paul is the definition of a computer wiz. For every problem that came up in the course of repairing my computer (and many did), he was able to troubleshoot it and move on in no time at all. Not to mention, he provides excellent customer service in every sense: He was consistent in returning my calls, but also taught me a ton about electronics - how to make them last longer and how to make them run more efficiently. If you want to beat the prices and come out of the shop holding a better computer than the one you bought in the store, go with Hudson Valley Computers.

2018-06-03They do top notch work. I had Paul do some work on my 2009 Mac and its back up and running like new. He also built me a custom desktop and set me up with remote access making running my business significantly easier. He was able to transfer my data to my new computer and answered every question I had. Highly knowledgeable and highly professional.

2017-12-04Paul is great -- he fixed in less than an hour what ended up being a minor issue with my computer. Went to him after HP had told me it would take 5 weeks and several hundred dollars to replace the motherboard! Highly recommend.

2016-02-01Hudson Valley Computers did a great job on my laptop repair. The services were fairly priced and i received my repairs in less then half of the expected time. I was also recommended some very helpful upkeep that has fixed problems that i didnt even know i could be fixed including over all speed of my laptops performance. I highly recommend their services.

2017-04-07Service with a smile!Paul made sure right from the beginning that I understood not only what parts and repairs I was getting, but why I needed them. Rather than make me leave my computer until the parts from Amazon arrived, Paul let me bring it in after the parts were delivered and fixed it in under an hour while I went out for lunch. In addition to replacing my poor, shattered screen and LCD, he also cleaned my computer and took a look around the inside, making sure I knew about anything in the hardware that might cause me problems in the future. The next time I need my computer repaired, Hudson Valley Computers will be my first call!

2018-05-01I ask for Pauls help in repairing our iMac, which was experiencing a major graphics issue. Paul explained in very clear terms the options we had, and I quickly decided the cost of repairing an older iMac could not outweigh the value of Pauls other service - building custom PCs.He helped me design a desktop around our exact software, speed and storage needs, assisted in the parts ordering process and had the CPU built in several days at a fraction of the cost from going to a retailer.Pauls background in electrical engineering is obvious in his thorough understanding of heat and its relationship to the fragile components that make up computers. This was the cause of our iMacs malfunction in the first place. Our new PC is liquid cooled (look it up!) and were thrilled that we will never experience issues of this kind again.Paul also set up a network for us, allowing remote desktop access from any laptop or chromebook, anywhere in the world where we can get a wifi connection. This allows us to access important software and files without risking their loss if the physical laptop were to get damaged or stolen.I highly recommend working with Paul for any computer repair needs, but especially if you are in the market for a new system and are tired of the shortcomings involved with the inefficiently designed, over priced systems offered by Apple, Dell and the like.
