The staff is really nice and the food ALWAYS Gets delivered quickly. I mean they’re just about 0.5 mile away, but other places nearby take forever to deliver food too or have it ready for pick up. The lady at the front desk that usually takes orders over the phone is really nice, as well as the delivery person. I’m obsessed with their Singapore house Mei fun. 🥰 we just moved to Mohegan Lake and during the days when the kitchen wasn’t set up or we were doing renovations, Hunan House was always a life saver. They’ve even taken a pick-up order at 9:55pm and they close at 10pm!

I tried this place in place of my usual. I’m making a change, the food is excellent.Generous portions and their frying is less greasy than others. Looking forward toexploring more of their menu.

Great atmosphere and a clean bright restaurant. Food was very good. The buffet is small but very moderately priced. Its a sort of all your favorites selection. Its no big seafood during the week but ribs, a shrimp dish and some muscles. Real hard Ice cream, fruit and the standard cakes. Knocked off 1 star as our table wasnt cleaned of our plates we had to let them pile up at one end and our drinks not refilled. Would happily visit again!

The lady who is at the front desk is not a nice person. I recently ordered take out through the website. When I picked up my order, she complained to me that I ordered to early for her liking. I ordered my take out at 5:15pm for a 6:30pm pickup. I was completely shocked especially when I picked up my order, I was the only customer in the place (including the buffet part of the restaurant). She needs to learn to be nicer to customers and maybe the place would be packed. The previous owners were much nicer

I was impressed by how they did the buffet. I just got take out but its nice. Definitely coming back for the buffet. The best chicken wings in the area.

My family has been ordering from Hunan House for more than 20 years. The service is pleasant and fast, and the food is consistently delicious.

If I could rate it 0 stars I would. Or maybe I can but let me be fair because the only thing good from this place was the egg roll. Where do I start. So we ordered delivery and asked for a lunch special sesame chicken with pork fried rice and an egg roll and then a small beef lo mein with an egg roll. We got the lunch special but the lo mein ended up being a large which was way too much food for us to eat and we never got that second egg roll. Now to talk about the food. My sister when eating her lo mein the encountered a piece of hair in the food as well as a piece of plastic. The lo mein was greasy, the rice in the fried rice was over cooked, the sesame chicken was wayyy too sweet and did not taste like chicken. Overall a terrible experience and I don’t think I will order from here ever again. I hope they change their ways because I hate having to write a negative review on a restaurant.

The place was nearly empty which was great during these times, however… the only replenishment we saw was one bowl of fried rice dumped into the dried out pan that sat there for most of our dining experience. Most of the buffet was dried out and our family of four felt as though we were fed leftovers, like stray dogs. I poured my soda into my thermos as I wanted to drink from my personal cup. The woman from the front desk approached our table immediately after and pretended to see if “everything was ok?” Something she did not ask the other tables. They didn’t wear masks when approaching our tables as we have encountered in other restaurants where the staff were considerate towards our young unvaccinated children. We won’t go back… waste of money and insulting experience. Too bad because we live so closely. I’d rather go to Emperor’s with a wider selection anyway. Employees aren’t clocking you like you’re trying to swindle soda there either. I’m sorry we wasted our family dining out dinner date here.
