Absolutely ridiculous. The guys in Greenwich have no idea what they are doing. They declined a job because my pictures showed a ‘grease build up in chimney’ which is not an accurate assessment. Anyway it’s nice to be in a position to turn down work in bellhaven CT before even seeing the site. I probably dodged a bullet here.

My husband bought the Regency Pro-series C12600 Wood insert from Huntington Fireplace and Outdoor Living and this wood insert unit really has to be cleaned by a skilled person with knowledge of taking apart the convertor baffles that the rod goes in and vacuuming the insert, which is not what happened last year when they recommended a chimney cleaning service knowing full well which unit we had bought from them and they installed it. If anyone has this type of unit mentioned above I finally had it PROPERLY cleaned today and recommend this company, (CLAYTON-RICHARDS, STOVES & FIREPLACES) I still cant believe Huntington Fireplace and Outdoor living recommended the company they did last year knowing they were inadequate for this unit, (even dislodged the insert rod when cleaning) and worse the fire hazard this posed to my family by this unit not being cleaned properly. Hope this helps for those with this type of wood insert unit in finding a proper cleaning service and not to get jerked around like I did from everyone I spoke to via phone and email over the last year at Huntington Fireplace and Outdoor Living.
