This is an extremely special property. If you like unique hotel design, you need to check this place out. The rooms are very comfortable, clean, and have big beautiful windows. The landscaping throughout the property is exceptional, with special attention paid to incorporating the history of the location and the beauty of the river.
Had the most relaxing time at Hutton Brickyards! I stayed with my puppy and they provided snacks, bowls, and a bed. My puppy enjoyed running around and being in nature, as all she knows is the city. The front desk is very attentive and they pay attention to every detail. It was Pub Night at The Winter Pavilion, so I tried their delicious light bites and drinks. It snowed during my stay and it was just magical! Recommend 100%.
What a hidden gem!! I was looking for a place to stop overnight to split up my drive between upstate NY and Washington DC, and I found this location online. I cannot rave about how wonderful, relaxing, quaint, and recharging this location was. I stayed in a King Cabin with a beautiful private porch and cute amenities like a record player. A complementary breakfast was dropped off outside my door each morning including a thermos of piping hot coffee. The massage I had at the spa was amazing and dinner at their waterfront restaurant was delicious and relaxing. Front desk staff was very responsive to any questions or needs that I had (they respond via text very promptly), and were very friendly and helpful.
Went here for a solo night away. I had an amazing 90 minute massage, had my dinner and breakfast delivered to my cabin, took advantage of the bar cart making the rounds at happy hour, and went on some beautiful walks. The cabins are adorable and very comfortable. Highly recommend this place!
Hutton brickyards was the perfect place for a weekend getaway! Was hoping to escape the city and couldn’t have asked for a better place. The waterfront cabins were cozy and beautiful, the food was amazing, and morning yoga was the cherry on top. The people were so kind and the place is filled with thoughtful touches like the evening drink cart and s’mores packages for dessert. Not to mention the charm of Kingston which is only a short walk away! Loved my stay there and definitely hope to be back soon.
Over priced and staff appeared to be underprepared. We were so looking forward to the happy hour cocktails and beer pop up, that was advertised online and again mentioned during check in, however, the weight staff/bar tender were rude by indirectly discussing amongst themselves that we were misinformed.Cabins were nice enough, but it just feels like it’s missing any warmth or coziness, and ultimately just comes across as stuck up and cold.
The grounds and our room were fantastic. The rooms are nicely appointed and the bed was extremely comfortable. The view of the river from our king cabin was beautiful. My only criticism was the service. First I will say the staff members that helped us with our bags on the way to and from our room were great. However, the staff member in charge of delivering drinks to the cabin never returned with our order after not showing up until happy hour was nearly over. Further, the same person waited on us at the winter pavilion...rarely checking on our drinks and providing less than stellar service. I worry about criticizing here if the staffer is new or if the resort was understaffed but for the price tag, it is not unfair to expect a high level of service...especially as our two night stay was a bit of a splurge. Hutton Brickyards was still a unqiue place to spend two nights and I am sure our experience was an outlier rather than the norm.
2.5 stars. Stayed at Hutton Brickyards around New Years to celebrate my birthday and not sure it was worth for the price. The staff was friendly and rooms were nice, but that’s pretty much it. I don’t think it was worth $700 for 2 nights for me. The restaurant wasn’t open on the days we were there, the iPads did not work for room service requests, and the breakfast we ordered was unavailable both mornings stating they sold out to earlier guests. It wasn’t a bad stay, just overall underwhelming.
While the property and room were as expected, the onsite dinning facility fell short of expectation. The spa experience was wonderful and highly recommend, if you visit Hutton Brickyards you should book a spa treatment. So, if planning to visit you may want to bring your own snacks and dine off site.
I stayed at Hutton Brickyards to celebrate my anniversary. From the moment we arrived Suzy at the front was beyond helpful and kind. She drove us from the parking lot to our amazing cabin. Suzy also gave us a bottle of Prosecco which was so sweet. She was the best. We stayed at in the King cabin with the river view. It was AMZAING! Quiet and relaxing. The big window and deck off the back let you really enjoy the view. There wasnt a TV which at first I was concerned about but turned out we spent more time present and enjoyed the time we had together. The room was cozy and clean. There was a wedding which we were nervous it was going to be loud but we couldnt hear it at all. I would 100% stay at Hutton Brickyards again and would recommend to anyone visiting the Kingston area. It was on the expensive side but totally worth it.
Such a special pet friendly resort. If you are looking for a long weekend to disconnect and enjoy the outdoors, then the Hutton is for you. The team at the Hutton is there whenever you need them, and go above and beyond for their guests. We can’t wait to visit again in the warmer months to enjoy some of the great hiking in the area.
Came here and saw a concert and some fireworks. Music was great, fireworks were awesome. But I must say its definitely illegal to not take cash and will definitely not be going back. Noticed there was lots of food waste because they decided to have their own food which is super expensive for no reason when there was food trucks there. Of course you are not going to sell your food when there is way better vendors on property .
I had dinner at Hutton Brickyards last Saturday I ordered the Brussels Sprout Cesar salad which was so salty it was barely edible. For entree I ordered Wild Mushroom Stew which was so flavorless I left most of it The food was what I would rate as gross. I haven’t eaten at such a bad food place in years. I have been there in the past and it was fine. But this -inedible. The atmosphere and location are fab. I hope they get the food back to at least par I never take the time to write this sort of thing but it was that bad
OMG, what is this place? It is A Pet Friendly hotel (and believe me when I say friendly). They had a dog bed, water and food bowls, and a few towels and paws wipes for your dog! Also, the staff was amazing. The breakfast was a good start of the day and the cabin view OMG, it is amazing. The winter morning couldn’t be more beautiful! They also have a restaurant here and we had the fondue which was delicious. Totally recommend this place if you are looking for a scape to the city madness.
A totally unique place - old brickyard…literally. Was a large event venue and recently added hotel and soon to add some more amenities/room style options. We stayed in adorable queen cabin -and it is a little tiny house! The bar/lounge area was open for cocktails and bar bite - the steelhead trout spread; smashed roasted potats; and the burrito with butternut squash chutney - YUM! They bring you coffee in good old Stanley thermos in the morning along with a fab yogurt parfait and a yummy croissant filled with apple. It’s really close to Kingston if you are looking for a nice get away from the city!!
We stayed here for 5 nights and it was truly a special experience. The bed was super comfortable. The cabins are beautiful and is in my view the star of the show. It strikes the perfect balance between classic and modern. You can experience floor to ceiling windows windows in a lot of places (or even your own home), but few places make you feel as close to nature as Hutton does. The entire staff was great. Any minor hiccups we had, Frankie, Z, Suzie, and Andre were incredibly helpful. They were all very kind throughout and it made the experience even better. Some other notes:- We didn’t try the restaurant, but we did check out some local restaurants in the area. If you order takeout, just be aware that some drivers may be confused delivering to this location. We ran into trouble with one particular driver.- We got a massage at the spa and it was also wonderful. Definitely recommend. Their staff made us feel super welcome as well.- They occasionally offer some specials online you’ll want to check before booking. I definitely recommend asking about it first if you book over the phone. We missed out on one discount because we forgot to mention it and by that time it was too late.Overall, needless to say we will definitely be back. I’m sure this place is more popular during the warmer months, but I would definitely recommend a winter visit. Hutton is a gem.
I recently indulged in a two night getaway at Hutton Brickyards which offers exceptional hospitality, including a warm reception from Susie at the front desk. I booked one of the King River View cabins where the view of sunrise didn’t disappoint! The cabins are clean, cozy, drenched in natural light ,and provide views any nature lover will enjoy. My day began with a complementary thermos of hot delicious coffee and breakfast goodies delivered to the doorstep. The grounds at Hutton Brickyards are wonderful for walking, exploring, or just relaxing by the water. Stop by one of the many fire pits and unwind while sipping your favorite beverage. Indulge your senses at the very relaxing Salt Spa - I had a CBD deep tissue massage from Emily that was amazing! You can take a quick 5 minute drive into the town of historic Kingston and enjoy places like Ship to Shore (great food) and Half Moon Roundout Cafe for coffee and a scrumptious cinnamon babka! Whether you’re a native New Yorker or traveling from afar, Hutton Brickyards is a wonderful place to experience hospitality, relaxation, exploration and serenity.
The facilities, setting and food is wonderful. Although everyone seems to try to please, the service is just laughably bad. Heres some examples: we were unable to check in till after 5:00 pm, at dinner they lost our order and the food took almost 1 1/2 hours, the billing system couldnt handle having 2 room rates on 2 different days, so they had to check us out and check us back in for a two day stay, there were 2-3 inquires about whether we wanted coffee or tea delivered with breakfast. We said tea, they brought coffee. At checkout, reception was locked. There was no sign or box for the keys. I texted asking for a copy of the bill at checkout on Tuesday. I was assured theyd do it, but I had to text on the two subsequent days and threaten to contest the charge before they sent it. This is the worst service Ive ever experienced at a hotel and Ive traveled a lot.
Experience was wonderful even during the rain. King river view and King cabins best bet. Restaurant is good. Not too much selection with cocktail. Most cocktail is prepared but wine and beer had good selections. Staff are great! I want to say again- staff are great and well trained. Dramatic shuttle down to property from registration desk.
Went for dinner and it was simply amazing. As someone who has been in the service industry for a long time, theirs was outstanding. Every person on the floor was attentive and Iris took such good care of my date and I. The food was excellent and I cannot wait to go back.
I live in the area and got so excited about Huttons NYE dinner. I reached out for menu confirmation over Instagram a couple days in advance (private message and comment). No response back and the menu never got posted on the website. I ended up cancelling my reservation the day of --still no menu in sight. Hutton, please do better. I went to another local restaurant at a similar price point (with menu and all details explicitly outlined). Still very eager to give this place a shot as they iron out some kinks.
This was one of the best weekend getaways weve ever booked! I highly recommend a Riverview King Cabin because the view is incredible. From check-in through check-out the service was exceptional. Staff was super friendly and helpful, and the front desk always responded quickly. Breakfast was delivered to our cabin each morning, and we loved putting out our thirsty flag for happy hour! They also had a free Scotch tasting while we were here that was very informative and as well as delicious. We dined at the restaurant twice during our stay. Staff was very attentive and the food was excellent. If youre looking for a quick weekend getaway from NYC this is the place to book!
Beautiful location and space. That’s where the positive assessment ends. Very standoffish staff. Not welcoming place. Had to buzz in just to get to their bar for a reservation I had. Extremely limited bar menu at winter pavilion (just wine drinks no beer or cocktails). Get to the winter pavilion for drinks and there’s only 4 people in comically large place, and all the staff can ask me is 1) do I have a reservation? Then they inform me that despite 4 people in a place that can seat 200+ that I’m sitting in the “overflow” area and should move (all looks the same). Nothing intuitive about this place. Just weird.
Had dinner here last night and really enjoyed the experience. The views, food, and staff were very impressive. My server Quandisha (apologize if this is misspelled) was kind, attentive, and thoughtful. She offered great suggestions that made our dinner even more comfortable — like turning off the table light to keep the mosquitoes away. She went above and beyond for our table and I wanted to compliment her specifically for doing so.
Review is for the dinner at The River Pavilion restaurant at the hotel (no separate entry for that exists yet).Great place to go for dinner or drinks in Kingston. The venue is 5/5; the Pavilion is all open air with a covered roof, so great for outdoor dining during COVID. It’s right next to the water and the walls are completely open so almost every spot has a great view. There are also large ceiling fans to help you keep cool, which also do a fairly good job in keeping the bugs at bay.The food and itself was also great, although they are serving a limited menu at this time. We had the steak, chicken, and Haricots Verts, all of which were great.Because of what I assume are staffing issues they seemed to limit the number of tables open in the main seating area. Since we didn’t have reservations they wouldn’t be able to seat us for 45 minutes, but we were able to sit in the bar / lounge area. We were able to order food there, and the lounge is very spacious, but it was counter service. So I would say reservations recommended if you want a proper table service. The staff themselves were all very helpful and kind.
Love the outdoor space & design concept. Decent food with a great atmosphere. Outdoor heaters & wood burning fireplaces surround the space. Parking & bathrooms are a little bit of a walk. You are literally dining on the Hudson riverbank with a view of the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge.
We had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Brickyards. The property is an old brickyard turned camp for adults. The cabins are small but beautiful, clean, and well appointed. The beds were comfortable and the HVAC worked well. Breakfast is delivered to your cabin at 8, 9 or 10 am. Breakfast is a yummy muffin, a yoghurt parfait and a beverage of your choice. The coffee was always hot and delicious. The menu did not change during our stay. The grounds are gorgeous industrial sheik. Some parts are still under their renovation including the main house at the top of the hill but that did not interfere at all with our stay. The River Pavilion restaurant is simply awesome. The view is spectacular at this open air pavilion well stocked with heaters. Very COVID friendly. The food was fantastic in every way from start to finish. Its unusual to have both a great atmosphere and great food but they do! The staff at the property was phenomenal in every way. They were really nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. There is a 3 mile loop that you can walk using the Empire State Trail right on the property. Its an easy paved path along the Hudson that was gorgeous. Kingston is a great location to use as a base camp for exploring the Catskills. Kingston itself is a really fun town to explore especially the Stockade District. Dont miss the Opus 40 in Saugerties, Woodstock, and Hudson further north. This was a blast! Thanks Hutton Brickyards!
Our time at Hutton Brickyards was great but fell short of expectations. The experience really is as described, which is somewhere between camping and staying at a resort but good luck if youre trying to get a hot meal before dinner. The location near the Hudson river is stunning and the service was great, but thats where it ends. Now the reasons I gave it 3 stars instead of 5.For those of us that are in software, I would consider this hotel to be more of an MVP than a fully fleshed out experience, and for the price tag I would have expected the experience to be much more fully rounded than it was. The rooms were great and so was the service when asked, but you dont stay somewhere like Hutton Brickyards for the room. You want to be outside and enjoy it. As soon as I left my room, it was more of a DIY situation minus building the fire.Food - Breakfast was included which is a nice touch. Our coffee came in a thermos which was also cool. On the 3 days we received breakfast we had the exact same thing. A yogurt parfait (good), a cold pastry (good but would have been much better warmed up), and an orange. What about a hot breakfast of some sort? You have to go into Kingston for that.Dinner - Yes, another subcategory of food. The Pavilion was ok. The drinks were well made, but nothing blew my mind. Personally, I think theyre trying too hard. The place is called BRICKYARDS. Some brick oven pizza would have been perfect on the cold nights to go along with the wine. I can appreciate fine food, but add some casual options. We cant cook in our rooms or over the fire. Speaking of, why not offer smores?Room Service - Available on the tablet but doesnt work. The closest thing was a drink cart that goes around in the early evening. I wasnt really impressed with my canned bloody mary. Good try but needs refining.Wifi - Awful. Dont expect to do much work if you need to. The employees tried to be helpful, but this seems more of a router/connection issue. They tried their best.Again, the experience was as described, but I felt it came up short. Hopefully, itll improve with more customer feedback to be much more well rounded and worth the 3 hour trip for us. Its got the bones of a great hotel and experience, but its not just there yet to justify the price tag.
Views are not as advertised. Experiences not as advertised. Bikes need maintenance. Price point is way too high for what they offer. The staff are all very nice and seem to be doing the best they can with a lack of support and training from management. The food and coffee while limited availability is excellent when you can get it. Tablet didnt work and ordering by phone was hit or miss. Cocktails are not free, they will show up on your bill.
My mom and I just came for dinner but it was excellent. Getting seated and served was a little slow (they’re just opening, it’s part of the kinks) but the f&b manager, Joaquin went above and beyond to graciously accommodate us to make up for any lack of attention. We didn’t complain, he just noted it and performed his job with pure excellence. Only get that level of restaurant care from my friends who own or manage establishments. We were delighted and so glad he is in charge. The rest of the staff was very kind as well, just needs a small bit of tightening up with attentiveness.Pair that with food cooked and prepared to perfection and a view to die for. We shared the trout and mussels and my god was it all divine. We will be returning for special occasions for sure.
We stayed when they had only been open for guests for 2 weeks. Grounds are really lovely. Such a great setting. Cabin is also nice. Great AC. Comfy bed. Brand new! Theyre close together but feel private while youre inside. The window facing the river is really nice, as is the private porch. The restaurant on site was very pleasant for dinner, and we foodies thought it was very good preparation. Theres a trail right nearby and a public beach in the Hudson right next door (you can walk to it if youre adventurous).Where things fell short: The communication system (tablets) wasnt really working. Internet was down, possibly due to weather, and we couldnt reach anyone by text or phone. We wouldve had to drive up to the reception desk at the mansion to ask a question - its a bit far away. Might be nice if there was an info/reception desk somewhere near the cabins.Cocktail cart - such a great idea but they didnt come. Maybe because they were expecting rain? But no way to know... Supposed to have bikes available, archery, etc but because of communication issues we faced, hard to figure out how to access these things. We wanted to book an activity (kayaking) but the internet being down made that hard to figure out too. They were open with the fact that its early days, theyre working out kinks, and theyll need to make improvements. One great thing, especially in summer, would be an ice machine for guests. A help desk or landline centrally located/close to where guests are staying, to reach reception, would help when there are tech issues. All the staff we encountered were SO sweet and friendly and accommodating. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and Im sure in the coming weeks and months theyll work out all the issues that new hotels encounter.
Came to the River pavilion for dinner and while the scenery is beautiful we were dissatisfied in the service or lack there of. Took us 20 minutes to get waters and even longer to have the waitress take our order. The food we got was excellent except our steak was over cooked and I had to personally go and get the manager to send it back since our waitress could not be found, sadly the steak came back a second time over cooked but no one checked on us to see if it was right and we were hungry so we just ate it. It’s possible they were short staffed but for the prices of the food, the service should be much better. Especially with the manager around, he should have been much more professional and on top of things which he was not, as we left we noticed him sitting on his computer which seemed odd to us why he wasn’t more attentive if there weren’t enough servers. I think we were a casualty since we noticed everyone else being tended to. Not sure what went wrong but be warned about the service.
A new place in Kingston NY, a place to seat by the water and enjoy the view and a wine/ beer ( no cocktails yet, the bar doesnt work). The menט is limited and were missing some dishes due to a problem in the kitchen ( no substitute). No choices for vegan/ vegetarian. The food was fresh, and good. Nothing out of the ordinary.
My husband and I joined some foodie friends there for a late summer dinner. This was my second time there after going about a month ago. While it is not an extensive menu, every dish we ordered was outstanding. Grilled Gulf prawns with chili crisp as a starter were sensational, as was the arugula peach salad with Pecorino! We each had a different entrée — a grilled NY strip, herbed roast chicken, PEI mussels with chorizo, grilled Long Island duck with roast cherries and mustard greens, and lastly swordfish with roasted corn and a tomato salad — each bite of all of our dinners was fantastic—we ordered a couple sides of their perfect French fries too. The service is warm and accommodating, and the open Hudson River view makes this a wonderful place for destination dining in the area.
Reply to owner: James, has anyone complimented that so-called trout entree? My guess is it misses the mark for everyone. Also, the waitress asked my friend and me, How are you doing here? but no one inquired as to how we were enjoying the food. If they had, I would have stated that my fish was skimpy, bland, and undercooked. I would suggest in the future that staff ask more pointed questions to elicit more meaningful replies. The view at the River Pavilion is spectacular, and the outfit is certainly milking that view for all its worth. The haricots verts appetizer and vanilla bean rice pudding dessert my friend and I shared were good, as was his entree -- scallops with panna cotta salad. But my dish was skimpy, oily, and bland, and tasted like undercooked salmon prepared in a microwave, although it was supposed to be cedar-planked steelhead trout. When I see cedar-planked steelhead trout on a menu, and am about to pay $24 for it, I expect a well-seasoned crispy whole fish baked to flaky perfection in a wood-fired oven. What I got was a pallid filet beside a little clump of oily greens. When I told the waitress Id been served salmon, she smiled and said, no, thats trout, and added that people mistake it for salmon all the time. Tip to wait staff and management: If people mistake it for salmon all the time, something is wrong with it. Trout should look like trout and taste like trout. And if people werent bothered by the anemic preparation -- if they liked this dish -- they wouldnt comment on it in hopes of having it whisked back to the kitchen and seeing something more palatable take its place. I would return to River Pavilion, but only for dessert or to have drinks in the Adirondack chairs by the river. Very disappointed.
Amazing and completely unique facility. Beautifully restored and creatively utilized former brick factory right on the Hudson River. One of the most stunning locations on the river I have ever seen. We were there for Field and Supply which was awesome. Great venue for concerts. Looks like they have spectacular weddings and other events there as well.
I cannot say enough about how much we loved our stay at Hutton Brickyards. They have some high-end cabins on-site and my husband and I stayed on the property for one night. My only wish is that we could have stayed longer! The cabins are beautifully decorated and the venue is a perfect spot for a wedding, corporate event or major festival. There is a campfire pit (they provide the wood), its right on the Hudson and there are hiking trails next to the cabin. Cannot wait to visit again!
Visited for Field and Supply this year and it was such a great experience. It was my first time attending. The space was laid out nicely and it was comfortable getting around and checking things out. The bathrooms were very clean which is always a big concern with attending events like this. I am a wedding planner and I think the space would be beautiful for a wedding as well. I hope to work with the Hutton team soon!
I went to the Bob Dylan concert and it was a bit of a mess. Several people have commented about that here too. I want to know before I buy tickets for this summers Steve Miller Band and Lord Huron concerts if the promoters have made improvements. I noticed that the owner has replied to many positive comments here, but hasnt commented to any of the critical comments. Have the owners fixed the bus and parking problems? Have they added more beer and food services to reduce wait time?? Have there been any modifications to the sound system to help improve the acoustics??? I would love to know before buying tickets for the 2019 summer shows. Its a beautiful venue for enjoying summer events and if they had their act together I would love to see shows there! Owner, any news?UPDATE:Thank you Hutton Brickyards for the response, I went to Field and Supply last weekend and indeed the improvements made a BIG difference!I updated my review to reflect. Recommended! I will be buying my Steve Miller tickets this week!
A very promising destination for company retreats. After encouragement from a friend of mine who recently took a job there, we decided to head up to Hutton Brickyards for an exec retreat to develop our strategy for next year. They recently added some cabins on location (from Escape) and it made for a really unique experience. In short, we stayed one night and two days on location. We had a nice little white board session out on the patio facing the river. The space is quite beautiful. It sits right alongside the Hudson River and is extremely close to Kingston. It has a number of buildings, a few of which provide full cover in the event of inclement weather. Back in the brush is a wonderful view of the river and bridge. All in all, we had a really great time and fingers crossed we find ourselves here for our conference.
What a fantastic Hidden Gem! Youre driving through New York, and all of a sudden, theyre in the middle of modern everything, is this beautiful vintage event space! Full of green spaces, next to the water, plenty of space for any event, and a cool fresh Breeze that constantly blows through the area. Tons of covered space is allowed for lots of shade on a hot summer day, and allow the breezes to flow through and cool the entire place. I would not hesitate to visit any event taking place here.
The property is stunning. Had a company retreat on-site, and the staff and accommodations were top-notch. The cabins are great - Ive looked at a lot of tiny houses, and these are high-end. Good option for company retreats, weddings (views in all directions), and events. Only 5 min from downtown Kingston.
Super chic, very nice bathrooms for an outdoor venue. Ive had some negative encounters with the overzealous grounds staff, and was also given a hard time for having a concealed small pocket knife by a security guard at the farmers market once. They told me to return it to my car with it, or I would have to leave. I mean kudos for being so observant of a clip sticking out of my pocket, but it seemed a bit much. Ive also been told that the prices to rent the venue for a wedding are exuberant and you have to deal with the sights and sounds of Kingston point beach(ice cream trucks, children screaming, and loud music),along with the jet skies zooming around that trend to launch from there.
Beautiful property thats continuously improving. I went to Hutton Brickyards for a small company retreat, and it was a great location to escape NYC (and our office) for a couple of days. The peaceful setting allowed our team to truly detach and focus on our strategic planning without the constant distractions or getting caught in old habits/thinking. We got lucky with weather so held most of our sessions outside, but the venue informed us that theyre adding weatherproofing to some of their outdoor spaces for when it rains. Despite the feeling of being secluded (in a great way), HB is incredibly close to Kingstons stellar restaurants, which was a huge bonus for us. And the HB team did everything they could to accommodate us, from providing a white board and markers to tours of the grounds and suggestions for whats nearby. Great experience for a company retreat!
From what Ive know thier very unprofessional they have a restaurant and a nice new big place but you dont know when the restaurants gonna be open or closed because it could be closed for an event, they schedule a friend to work just to send him home in an hour because they dont know whats going on one day from the next
Its a lovely location and an interesting group of buildings. It has terrible acoustics, however. A tin roof pavilion over a polished concrete floor by a river produces lots of hard echoes. If you want to hear music, this is not a great venue to do so.More importantly, they have limited parking, and despite that decided to host two sold out shows where most of the audience had to be bused offsite for parking. They communicated this poorly every step of the way, they didnt have enough buses, and had no plan on place to handle a full crowd trying to get home after the show. We had to wait an hour after the show just to get on a bus. It was chaotic and none of the staff had any information to provide. All this for some pricey ($55 - $75) tickets. That was lousy, greedy planning. I cant believe the Bardovan would have anything to do with that. I wont be going back there any time soon. There are plenty of better music venues in the valley.
Hutton Brickyards will become a destination point in the Hudson Valley and for all the right reasons. I must disagree with the quality and reviews of the Bob Dylan concert. Although the musicians were fabulous, the show resembled a sad Vegas Lounge act. People go to hear Dylan sing Bob Dylan, not classics from the 30s and 40s.
Very poorly organized and executed event. A large Smorgasburg Venue was promised. There were four food vendors. Concert goers had to wait on lines for a minimum of one hour to get food or beverages. The beer, wine and beverage vendor had two cashiers and two people making drinks. The acoustics were sub par. The sound mixing was poorly done. Listeners could not understand anything Dylan was singing. At $125 a seat concert goers did not get the experience they paid for.

2022-06-21My husband & I had a wonderful stay at Hutton Brickyards to celebrate our anniversary. As two people who enjoy being outside but are not exactly outdoorsy it was the perfect combination of nature and creature comforts. The views from our cabin were beautiful with a view of the Hudson through the trees. The property was very peaceful, a great vibe for escaping the city. If youre looking for total seclusion, I would probably look elsewhere as youre still pretty close to the other guests, but that didnt bother us a bit and the cabins are very private. The cabin was lovely and cozy - easily the most comfortable hotel bed Ive ever slept on! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We spent a lot of our visit exploring Kingston and Woodstock, so we didnt get a chance to enjoy some of the on-site amenities like the spa or restaurant, but considering the rest of our stay Im sure theyre worthwhile.

2022-05-02A beautiful property right on the Hudson with well appointed private cabins. A relaxing retreat with exceptional service. Lots to do in the area including delicious food and hikes both leisurely and challenging. The restaurant on the premises is terrific. Highly recommend. The management team’s focus is to ensure every guests’ needs are met. They succeeded! Can’t wait to come back!

2022-04-23We LOVED staying here! The little cabins were adorable and modern. Great views and greater customer service. Simon and Susie made the stay even more pleasant with how accommodating and attentive they were. We took advantage of the on site amenities (sunrise yoga and archery) on our last day which was a perfect way to end the stay there. I can’t wait to go back!!! Looking forward to what Hutton Brickyards offers during the summer season!

2022-07-03Hutton was the venue for my sons wedding. It was a magical experience. From check in to check out, the experience was a smooth one. The staff was enthusiastic & most helpful. We had a slight problem with a door & someone came within 10 minutes to address the problem. Breakfast was delightful & it was enjoyed on the deck with magnificent views. The room was comfortable & the surroundings lovely. The event went smoothly and it was a night to remember. Thank you.

2022-05-27I’ve wanted to eat the River Pavilion since last fall’s Field + Supply, and we thought today would be the perfect opportunity. The space is beautiful, views can’t be beat but I’m afraid the food and service was not in line with the setting. I am left to assume they were understaffed today, or at least our table was not a priority for the serving team. We had to ask multiple times for our drinks, including at the bar and not once did anyone apologize or even acknowledge the situation. Once the drinks did arrive, they were warm which white wine and beer should not be. Our food actually arrived before our drinks. Three of us ordered burgers, all medium rare and a platter of sad, lukewarm and overcooked wrapped in foil paper arrived at our table. For $24, one expected much higher quality, freshness and presentation as well as a side to accompany? In a disconnect, our friend ordered the gazpacho which had beautiful presentation with a table side pour. I tried to find someone to speak with but our server completely ignored our table and I had to flag someone else down to pay our check. Perhaps it was an off day, but as we were so looking forward to eating here it sadly did not meet expectations and I would not recommend others take a chance.

2022-02-12Hutton Brickyards is a marvelous, unique place to stay. The cabins are charming, comfortable (very nice bedding), and private with wonderful views everywhere. Bathroom floor was heated, especially nice in February. Lots of nice cabin snacks not to mention breakfast brought to your door at whatever time you select. Dinner, and bar food if you dont want dinner, was delicious. Every single employee was kind and helpful. I would love to stay there again.

2022-05-16We stayed at Hutton Brickyards for the weekend for a wedding. Every single person we encountered was friendly, helpful, and genuinely seemed to love their job. We also brought our little dog with us. The cabins and main lobby were pet friendly and the grounds had plenty of places for us to walk our dog. We really felt at home and like we were in our own little world. My husband and I will for sure be back. Perfect for a weekend getaway to decompress and enjoy nature.

2022-01-20We celebrated my husbands 40th birthday weekend here and had the best stay. The cabins are well appointed and ours had an unobstructed view of the river. The food at the Winter Pavilion was tasty from top to bottom and the atmosphere was calm and cozy. The weather was in single digits / teens during our visit so we did not explore as much of the grounds on foot that we had hoped to, but intend to return in the future when the weather warmer to take it all in. Kingston proper is close by and fun to explore. Overall, Hutton Brickyards brings you closer to nature with all the comforts of home.

2022-04-25We happened upon Hutton Brickyards while visiting the area on a whim. I cannot express how wonderful and peaceful the whole place is! Service is top notch, the views are amazing, and the entire staff is kind and helpful--from the gentleman who keeps the fire pits burning to the managers. In your room is a record player with a selection of records, and theres a thirsty flag you hang from your cabin to let them know youd like libations! Theyve really thought of everything 🤩

2022-05-31Super nice people running the front desk! Always helpful. Nothing like having your breakfast delivered every morning and sitting outside on the Adirondack chairs next to the cabin while enjoying the delicious granola and coffee. Ill be back. One feedback- down pillows, or pillows that arent quite as stuffed, would be awesome.
