If you have choice, stay somewhere else! Just checked in and this place is terrible. Very rude employees at check in, not even an attempt at being friendly. Watched them deny accommodation to a guest with a cat despite Hyatt website saying that this location is pet-friendly. She was given a lecture on how pet-friendly doesn’t imply cats, only dogs. Since when? They didn’t try to assist this guest in any way until she pleaded with them to try to find her an alternative accommodation at another property since she just drove across many states with her pets. I felt bad for this guest. I was checked into a room with dirty sheets, hair all over. I went to tell the front desk, the answer was: “housekeeping already left, but you can change the sheets yourself”. The replacement sheets I was given had some strange stains and more hair, different hair this time. First set had thin curly hair, this set had big chunks. If this place wasn’t booked through my job I would have left right at this point, but I’ll just be sleeping fully clothed instead.
Was the best, great service, with beautiful rooms. My family and I really injoyed they stay, had a basketball court, pool, spa, fire place, workout room, business room, an so much more. They snack was a lil pricey but not too bad. Are rooms had dishwashers, stove, refrigerator, sink, TV in every room, they even had dishes u could use. It was the best experience and vacation I had.. I would like to come back in the summer time, so we can enjoy swimming. I would highly recommend.
Spent a lot of money to stay a full week. We found a DEAD MOUSE in our closet on our last night there...who knows it might have been there all week. We then inquired if we could stay two more days but was turned down, then politely asked for at least some compensation for finding the dead animal. NOTHING!!! Some of the staff were nice but others not so much. Stay somewhere else.
3.5 stars. A bit lacking in coziness in main areas. The suite was nice and windows can open which is always a plus. We had to ask for more towels (only 2 provided) and there was no sponge, dish-liquid or dishwasher detergent, so had to trek downstairs to get that.A plus is there is a stupendous Wegmans 2 minutes up the road. The basketball court was an added plus, too.
They rented bar out to 1:00 am for a wedding party. Loud as hell. I’m two hallway away, have headphones on and I wear hearing aids. Bar is supposed to close at 10:00. After 1:00 now and still loud af.Bathroom was dirty, towels left on the floor. Hadn’t been cleaned from the last guest. Stay literally anywhere else.
I would barely give it a one star. Staff was extremely unfriendly. Several things in the room were in disrepair. I asked for repair of the toilet and no one responded. Room extremely small. No servicing of room except on Monday. Room rates of 284 per night is exhorbitant considering the condition of the hotel and the lack of service. Breakfast is free. Nice bags of jimmy dean sandwiches. Oatmeal packets but no bowls for the oatmeal. Linens very sparse and thin.
Unfortunately, my stay here was not very good. I had requested early check-in for 11am and it was confirmed. When I arrived at 1:30pm due to traffic, my room was not ready. I had a wedding ceremony at 3pm. The room was not ready before the ceremony and I had to change in the conference room of the hotel. When the woman from the front desk took me to the conference room, she said do not tell anyone I let you change here. My question is, was that not allowed and if so what was the other option? She was not particularly apologetic or friendly. Very disappointing.
Terrible experience, dirty sheets, bugs in the drawers, hole in the carpet, mold in the shower, elevators were disgustingly dirty. During a time when COVID is a huge problem you should at least keep the hotel clean! The doors going into the hotel looked like they hadnt been cleaned in months.
Got to the hotel and the room they put us in had maintenance going on in our bathroom with ladders, mess on the floor, along with a fan for drying the work being done. Changed rooms rather quickly but new room was almost 80 degrees. They shut off their air condition at this time. This October we are having 75/78 weather at times so guess what, your room will be that temperature. Windows barely open for safety reasons. Glad I spend hundreds of dollars so I can be uncomfortable in my room. Would never stay here again during fall season. Winter I understand but fall give me a break.
The hotel was clean. I loved it.Jay was the most accommodating, patient & kind person Ive ever come across at this hotel or any hotel for that matter. His customer service is unmatched & I will be staying again.Anne is also amazing. She made me feel right at home. I would give more stars if I could.
Ive stayed here countless times for Capitol Shows and work. The place has gone totally down hill. Front desk makes you feel like you should be grateful you are even their. Real hospitality is lost forever. No shuttle to port chester anymore, totally overpriced, its dirty, unkempt, obviously unclean bathroom and things dont work, person at the front desk just kept talking and not listening to me, the covid precautions has made them just not do their jobs which is care about people
I really enjoyed my stay this weekend!! I would recommend this hotel to all of my friends, family, and colleagues. The rooms are spacious, clean and sooooo comfortable, the area/location is very secluded and peaceful, there was a small heating issue that the Front Desk fixed right away easily. Jay at the front desk was extremely polite, friendly and considerate, he made the stay all the better with his hospitality. We definitely plan to stay here some time soon again!
I likes how big and spacious the 2bedroom suite was. Also very clean . I didn’t like that there was only one wash cloth in the entire suite. We called downstairs to ask for more & was told someone will bring some upstairs. No one ever did so i had to go to lobby desk and ask again. Also didnt like the fact that i felt i had to keep quiet the entire weekend. There is a strict no noise policy. If there is any loud noise of any sort someone will be at your door. I loved the room & the fact it has a full kitchen. Not sure if i will be back based on my previous experience.
We booked a room at the HYATT House in White Plains for a Friday night (4/2/2021) wedding. That morning, we spend 20 minutes on hold to confirm availability for an early check in which hinged on how we would get ready for the wedding and our arrival time to the hotel. I was officiating the wedding so timing was important. The shuttle was leaving at 4:30p. The person we spoke to said it should be fine to arrive at 3pm. We get to the hotel and the very rude hotel manager told us no one would tell you that, we were booked and have nothing ready. We then called Hyatts customer service line and they wanted to split hairs stating it wasnt a guarantee. They also made us believe that we were speaking to the hotel itself but later to find out it was a call center. At 4:10p we finally got an email that our room was ready and had to rush to get to our shuttle. Needless to say, we wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone nor will we ever be staying here in the future. 👎👎👎👎👎
Absolutely beautiful! I stayed in the Hyatt during the snowstorm. My company paid for a room there, since it was a minute away from work. The receptionist was welcoming and friendly. The rooms were well maintained, and they assured our health and safety! I wished I wouldve stayed at this hotel pre-COVID to get the full experience, but never the less, I loved it. And the on-the-go breakfast was a great touch!
I love this hotel. LOVE it. Why not 5 stars? Well it’s not a luxury hotel. I view 4 stars as the maximum score for non-Luxury. But put all that aside. I have 2 kids. I am divorced. Sometimes it’s convenient to stay in a hotel close to their Mom’s then schlep them to NYC. This hotel suits us perfectly. We had a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite with a living room and kitchen for less than $200 per night. Everyone had their own space when we were in the room. Plenty of activities to do outside including a pool (not open yet), basketball court, plenty of grass to throw a baseball around or play soccer. Location is perfect. Right off 287. Staff is friendly. I will stay here again and again.
Every person we came into contact with at Hyatt House made us feel that satisfaction with our stay was their primary concern. Christine, Amanda and Jay at the front desk were especially accommodating.I had a minor issue that I explained to Jay and he couldnt have been more accommodating. He addressed the problem immediately to my satisfaction. Another exceptional encounter with the staff at Hyatt House! Also, had the best quesadilla from the in-house Hyatt Bar, while my family raved about their pizza and burgers. Our server Andy was attentive and went above and beyond to ensure we were happy with our meals.Combine this level of service with clean comfortable rooms and what is there not to love about Hyatt House in White Plains, New York? We would not hesitate to recommend or book another stay here.
Air conditioning did not work first night. Wasnt to hot so not bad. 2nd night was very hot. They fixed the ac. Third night ac not working agian. Attempted to call front desk. No answer. Went to front desk no one there. When they showed up issue was fixed. Coffee pot did not work and no cold water in the kitchen sink. Fire alarm went off at midnight third night in. 2nd floor Hallway was very hot. Items supplied at other chains like paper towels and dish soap not supplied here. I would not stay agian.
My stay was wonderful, why am I giving them one star? Because a day later after leaving the property there is a $200 smoking fee on my credit card, my girlfriend and I do not smoke yet they claim they have photo evidence of cigarettes and cigarette buds in the room, I asked to see the photos they said they won’t send them because they are “their photos”....I told them there was no way possible because again we don’t smoke, they were not interested in solving the matter. I believe someone from their hotel placed those there after we left and took photos claiming that we did it. This is just inexcusable in my opinion I won’t let this go until the matter is solved.
Horrible Experience. Told on phone yes we have a pool found out when I got there it was closed (not covid related) and has not been open for 2 years. Breakfast was a paper bag with a frozen jummy dean egg sandwich which is useless as I am allergic to eggs and there was no alternative at all. Room was musty and smelly and AC did not work even though I called front desk about it they sent someone and said it was working fine till it started dripping water from ceiling and I had to change rooms at 12am. Room had cigarette burns in carpet, stains on bed etc. They only give you 2 towels for 4 people and say sorry thats the brand standard housekeeping was non existing they told me housekeeping is once a week on Mondays. I was staying 7 days from Monday-Monday so my room was not cleaned or made once during my stay even though I asked them to please make it at least once they told me sorry we only do once per week on mondaysI also have a certified service animal for a real disability and my dog is considered Medical Equipment but I was forced to sign a pet policy when I do not have a pet which is illegal!I stay at lots of hotels and from a larger name like Hyatt this was unacceptable and I should be credited enough points for a week stay instead manager told me I will give you 5k points so basically 1 day if that was covered. STAY AWAY!NOTES:also people changing in parking lot, doing drugs by basketball court, dirty elevator, lots of noise and generally bad place.
This place is a dump! My wife booked through Hotels.com and after waiting for nearly 10 minutes for someone to come to the front desk, they put us in a room that must have been 80 degrees inside. They said they shutdown the AC for winter and only have heat. Did not realize I needed to check with Hyatt Hotels to make sure they have functioning air conditioning. Also had no idea that according to Hyatt, Winter apparently starts the first week of November when its still 75 degrees outside. The staff was unwilling to do anything to accommodate or remedy the situation. At one point I was told I would get my money back but the next morning she said she couldnt do anything for me. The facilities were also very poorly maintained and cleaned. Never seen such a filthy elevator.
Hyatt House is great! The place is clean. The room was nice and spacious. The staff was excellent, the lounge had a nice menu including sandwiches, salads and soups. There was even a small “store” to buy sodas and Advil etc.. and finally their breakfast buffet was included and contained fruits and breads/bagels, eggs and bacon and I saw French toast. KUDOS!
Nice staff. Room was nice. AC/heat worked great. Room was smaller then normal, not a bad thing for just a place to rest your neck. Bar is nice continental breakfast is good. Plenty of options. Just a bit small for a buffet area. An alley kitchen layout for a buffet area isnt the best choice. Choke points slow flow and make carrying plates of food around awkward.
My niece and her family are staying at Hyatt House White Plains and we had a wonderful dinner that was freshly prepared and served by Andy at the HBar. I never had a more delicious quesadilla and my niece raved about her cheeseburger and fries.I also want to mention the warm greeting I received from Margaret when entering the lobby. We all enjoyed a very pleasant evening in a warm and friendly atmosphere and I look forward to my return trip.
It is so difficult to get them on the phone you have to talk to about three people before you get the actual front desk. When I arrived they changed my annoyed feeling. They gave me exceptional customer service. The hotel is being renovated but looks so amazing. The room was clean very modern and cozy. It can use a few touches around the edges but betides that I had a amazing stay.
For this to be my first time staying here. I WAS NOT PLEASED! I stayed here with a friend and this hotel was bad. Check in time is at 4pm. Came in after 4pm, we came about 4:30. The room still wasnt ready. So, about 10-15 minutes later we get the key to the room. The first issue is it was smelling like cats as soon as you came through the doors of the room. Second thing it was hot in the room, we tried to adjust the room temperature and the lowest it could go was 65. We called maintenance to try and fix this issue, he was trying his best but the room was still hot. We ended up opening the window. Third thing is I noticed a stain on the bedsheets. It was just problems after problems in this hotel. The service is horrible it took a long time for housekeeping to bring a new comforter up. The experience here was just terrible. I wouldnt recommend staying here at all.
This is a Hyatt property that lives up to the brand. The front desk staff is friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. There is a bar/restaurant area that has some delicious food and a quiet place to unwind. The suites are very well furnished with a full sized refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, microwave and a toaster. Nice living room space with a full size tv. The beds are nice and firm with TVs in the bedroom also. My wife and I were very pleased with our stay and would highly recommend this as a place to stay.
A very lovely place to stay. We would choose it again in a heartbeat. The service was very good from the staff whenever we needed something like the shampoo we forgot or just directions. The place itself has many amenities and we were very impressed with the cleanliness as well. Unfortunately I did not get a good picture of all the food they put out for the free breakfasts. We were too busy eating and enjoying. But I did get some good pictures of the area which is quite large both for the presentation of the food and for the many guests to sit around and enjoy it
Excellent accommodations, fridge, microwave, and, tea maker on room. Comfy bed, good shower and toiletries. Good breakfast included with the room. Staff is cordial, friendly, and professional. Our only critique was the TV reception was very spotty. After a busy day, we were looking forward to some down time with snacks and TV, but a number of channels did not come in or had very pixelated reception.
Im not one for nice hotels typically, and by nice, I mean nothing much more than a few stars that gets the job done but doesnt blow me away. This place is above the standard Ive come to expect for hotels and Im glad to say Im staying here. Its more expensive than what Im used to, but it adds perks that are worthwhile. We got separate bedrooms, separate TVs, and a conference table with six large desk chairs surrounding it. There was even a small scale kitchen with all appliances and cutlery, need be. Also, there were multiple closets for storage, and a large range of food for breakfast. Everything was clean and the staff has been friendly and nice. My only complaint would be that the hotel is under construction and some of the areas are under-furnished and unfinished. This doesnt affect my stay in any way, and I didnt lower my review score because of it. At this current time, I would definitely stay at this hotel again. I have one more night to stay and I will update my review, need be.
Very nice place. Had a suite with full kitchen that basically looked brand new. Desk and lighting were good, and blackout shades were quite effective. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Lobby bar has full food service until 10pm and the food was reasonably priced with numerous options under $10-12. To my surprise the food was actually quite good- definitely not prepackaged microwave stuff. I had a southwestern pulled pork salad that was delicious and once of my coworkers had a burger that really looked good too. Several beer, wine, other beverage choices. The lobby restaurant is also open for free breakfast in the morning with the usual buffet choice, usually eggs, a bacon or sausage choice, potato-somethings and french toast, plus fruit and cereal etc. The most surprising thing is that they also had omelettes to order, which is a step above the usual free breakfast. A number of other guests had dogs (and not tiny ones) so I guess they allow that. Was not a problem while I was there. Only downside was that the hotel is a couple miles outside downtown White Plains, and there are not any shops of any kind in walking distance, so once you get there you are more or less stuck unless you have a car or get an uber or similar. Would definitely stay again.
Upon checking in I saw the hotel was clean and bustling and it only took two minutes to check in. Staff was very friendly and the room was spacious and super clean, even smelled clean. Workout room up to date with technology and Breakfast was hot and fresh as well. Perfect for the Keto people. I will book this hotel anytime I am in the New York area. This should be considered a 5 Star Hotel!
This is one of my favorite hotels to stay in when Im in White plains. The staff is really friendly and accommodating. The bartender is also great and goes out of their way to make you a drink that you will love. I always look forward to staying here and enjoying the atmosphere.
My daughter & family members stayed two weeks recently, what a lovely, clean and accommodating hotel, in a perfect location near all major highways and shopping nearby. Especially at the time of Coronavirus, this hotel is an oasis, thanks very much to the management of Hyatt House!
No Heat in room. Drugs on the room floor. Leaks in the ceiling. No working key cards.Full Story -My family and I stayed here this past week for the holidays - Dec. 21- 26. By far one of the worst hotel experiences I have had. Here is what happened -Requested early check in as we flew red eye and would be getting to the hotel around 9am. Waited quite some time to get into our room. Once in the room, we noticed two things immediately - It was really cold and there were only 4 pillows and two bath towels. I called front desk to request more linens. After an hour, 2 calls to front desk and no response, I went down to ask them directly for linens - pretty reasonable wanting to shower and sleep when you get in your room, right? I was told and shown by a cell phone that the house keeping supervisor was notified and should be getting to me shortly. Another hour - no linens. During the wait the room wasnt getting any warmer. I call front desk again - nothing. My husband then goes down to address the heat and linen issue. A maintenance man was sent up and couldnt fix the heat. So, they moved us to another room. Just that alone is upsetting. We were exhausted. We were put on a different floor on the opposite side of the hotel. We get into our second room. I call the front desk yet again to request linens. Finally we get our linens. Upon settling now into our room, our 7 year old son holds up a partially smoked joint and asks what it was. Wow. Of course I call the front desk. NO ANSWER. I call corporate. I tell my story and I am directed to the hotels General Manager. She comps one night for our troubles up to that point. Christmas eve we wake up to the fire alarm. That alarm went on for awhile. My husband goes down to see what is going on. Another guest burnt something in one of the hotel room kitchens and sent everyone on a frenzy. The hotel told us they cant shut off the alarm, the fire department has to and that took some time ( I get it. ) EVERY single day, we needed new key cards. It was infuriating - standing in the cold with a 3 month old at night while raining trying to get into a hotel youve paid for already and not being able to. Literally, everyday we needed new cards. Christmas day, guess what we wake up to?! A leak in the ceiling directly over my 3 month old daughters crib. At this point, I am defeated by this hotel. I didnt want to fight with front desk or a manager again. I wanted to enjoy my vacation and the experience with our lodging was exhausting. Of course we let them know. A maintenance man comes into our room and says that looks weird, I dont know what that is. The General Manager comps another night. We leave the next day and I literally thought at this point they were just messing with us BECAUSE we load the car and I go in to check out. The woman prints my invoice and sends me on my way. I look at the invoice when I get into the car - my mistake I should have checked it before I walked away - and there was only one night taken off our bill. So, I go back in. Its adjusted and I am handed another printed invoice. I start to walk out while reading the invoice and the amount for the second night they comped was only 50% of the room charge. I GO BACK AGAIN! The woman laughs and says shes sorry, it was a typo on her part.I am told after many calls and people within corporate, By sharing your experience, you have a direct positive impact on future stays, which allows us to maintain the level of service that Hyatt is known for. (What?? LOL) I do see that the hotel management offered 2 nights compensation and I believe that this is a fair compensation for the experience you have described. However, we can offer you an additional 12,000 World of Hyatt points, which is enough for 1 free night at this or any at this or any other category 3 hotel. For the experience you described - the experience with no heat, drugs on the floor and leaking ceilings. I expect so much more for $200 a night/3 star.
When checking in, they asked if we were here for business or pleasure. We said it was for our baby moon. She decided to upgrade our room to a very nice suite. Very beautiful and secluded hotel with a comfortable bed and pillows. The only downside was that there was no bacon or omelettes for breakfast as it says on their website.
We had a great stay at Hyatt House. Because of the weather it was too cold to go to the pool but if they had an indoor pool that would have been perfect. The hotel offers a full breakfast every morning. There was always something our kids liked. In addition our room had a full kitchen stocked with anything we could need. The rooms were very nice, clean and modern. Free parking and easy to find a spot close to where our room was.
Room was perfect it looked exactly how the picture day it to look. You can even cook which perfect. The breakfast was okay but the breakfast area was really nice and comfortable. My only concern was the first floor smells like a whole bunch of animal urine, but the floor I stayed on was okay
Superb hotel for the location and price. Even though this is Westchester County, NY, pickings are slim for 360 degrees of quality, service, and cost. Loved the new bar area, very warm and social! Upgrade to the omelet bar is spot on. The Cook was friendly and fast :)Both evening check-ins were friendly and swift. Even when other customers approached the counter, the staff (Mr. Claremont on Sunday night) did the customer service juggle so well. In a society that is so less forgiving these days, how wonderful to have this level of customer experience. It has a ripple effect to everyone involved, the people waiting knew what to expect and were patient in doing so. Excellent communication! The rooms still feel new. Sheets, towels, bed, rugs... everything is clean, crisp. The aroma therapy in the hallways and music streaming on the outdoor patio at breakfast, great mood setting. And maybe it’s just the manager in me, I loved to see happy and busy employees. The staff were working and smiling. Everyone at task. No lounging. No avoidance moves.2 night stay this time, booked separately as need arose. Have stayed here on occasion in the past 2 years, familiar with their standard. Most recent prior to last night was around Mother’s Day this year. Happy to have this as my preferred locale!
This is a wonderful place the staff from the beginning to the end was most helpful great hospitality! Thank you Ann who made the reservation thru phone reservations. Earl excellent Margaret, and Vernon I forget the gentleman name that works the 3 Rd shift. The hotel is in an excellent location off the highway it is undergoing remodel but dont let that discourage any future travelers. The breakfast was great. Love the family room 413 very clean, thank you house keeping for the excellent service a job well done! Will be back here on my next travel.
When you first walk in it looks very sterile and reminiscent of a doctors office. The hallways look like what you see in basically every hotel. The rooms are a different story. The rooms look like a very nice and well stylized apartment. The bedrooms are spacious and clean. The bathrooms and kitchen are compact but not cramped. There are several televisions wherever you might watch them and all the furniture is comfortable. Breakfast is tidy but standard for hotels. Nothing special. If you like hot tubs or pools, however, you are in the right place as their facilities are beautiful.
Very happy with our stay. Weve only stayed here once and only for one night. The staff was great! Super friendly! Rooms are all Suites I believe - complete kitchens with microwave, stove, fridge. Living room with TV. Bedroom with TV. Bath. TVs and all appliances modern. Rooms very clean and well lit. Hallways also well lit and clean. They also put out an extremely nice FREE hot breakfast. Kids loved it too. Will definitely stay here again. Easy free parking too.
Very clean hotel with friendly staff. Rooms are nice and clean with comfy beds and curtains that block the light out. Air conditioning works well and the grounds were kept very nice with landscaping. Parking is free and there are plenty of spots to park, especially if arriving late to check in. Would stay here again if I was in the area
One of our favorite places to stay when we visit our son @ SUNY Purchase. The staff is very friendly. Nice updates to the common areas. It is nice that they have a small bar open during late afternoon and evening hours. The rooms are very clean, well furnished, and very comfortable.IMO a perfect mattress. The small kitchenette is well equiped, we love the large refrigerator.Great for extended stays.
The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great. My only complaint is that housekeeping kept knocking on our door and asking what time we were going to check out on our last morning. The first time she knocked it was eight in the morning and the second time around ten (even with the Do Not Disturb sign up).
This was by far one of the best places weve stayed! After a very long, difficult day, it was absolutely wonderful to have such a clean, worry free, considerate suite with everything we could need there & knowing anything else possibly needed was available in their 24hr little store! The social he with snacks was such an awesome added touch! Apparently a bonus was tried to deliver by them however, cell problem interfered & we were disconnected. We would love to stay with Hyatt House anytime now! Thank you for reminding us that consideration & quality are still important!!
Would have gave it 5 star but the smell of the previous guest pet was lingering as if the pet went to bathroom in the room. I had a short stay for business so Im not going to hold it against them because I did not ask for room change due to smell. Not sure if they would accommodate or not so Im going to leave it at 4 star everything was good and staff was helpful .please get rid of smell from room 412
Staff is excellent and helpful. Hotel grounds are nicely kept. Interior is nicely maintained. The rooms ( small suites) are beautifully laid out and quiet. There was no noise transference. Although the rooms show some wear, they are clean and fresh. The hotel is pet friendly which is another plus. Could use a some renovation but the staff works hard to maintain a superior level of comfort and service. Two negatives - there are no restaurants within walking distance and the free breakfast was ok but nothing special. This place was so good for an overnighter that I tried to book a month later and was sold out - my loss. You will really enjoy this hotel.
I stayed here once and ended up dealing with a room that wasnt the cleanest. When I checked out, they lost my tax exempt form and I had to print a new one and was late to my meeting. This time, they put me in a room that had shades that would not work and I could not close them. The bathroom floor also had hair on it. They put me in a new room, and the shades just worked, but were still messed up. again, when I checked out, they did not remove the tax off of my bill and I had to wait for them to adjust the bill because it wasnt taken care of ahead of time. It just continues to be an issue staying here. I thought I would give them another chance and they still cant get it right.
Pros: nice newly renovated rooms with a fridge, microwave, and stove. Decent breakfast. Good size pool and spa. Bar and grill area yet to be constructed but the concept looks nice. Free parking and shuttle. Cons: Remote. Nothing within walking distance. Summer is here and no grill area yet. Shuttle is free within 5mi radius but unreliable. Ive waited up to 35mins past the time I requested it at least once.
Such a great place to stay! Breakfast is tasty for a hotel. Evening socials are awesome! Free beer and wine, plus salad bar every weeknight. I was here on business and saved so much money from their free meals. Rates are great. Super clean. Very helpful staff. This was a fantastic stay!
Nice enough hotel, but the rooms smell awful. All the rooms our party was given had couches, and either the couches or rugs had been cleaned with something that smelled disgusting. Or perhaps, it was just the room. I dont know, but when we tried to change rooms, all of them were the same. It wasnt the acerbic smell of cleaning fluid either. It was as though the room had been sprayed by a skunk, but in basso profundo. On top of that, when we called to make the reservation I mentioned that my wife was horribly allergic to feathers and was assured that the hotel was feather and allergen free. Every single room had feather pillows. Not a foam pillow in sight. Thank goodness, the blankets werent down. As it was, we carry our own, but still. The front desk should be aware.
AMAZING PLACE!Extremely dog friendly and as dog owner I appreciate that so much!Staff is friendly! The free breakfast is good but they run out of food often,Outdoor poor is great! The rooms are clean and well take care of, if you have kids there’s a water park near by, if you like hiking there’s a couple hiking trails 9 minutes away.Plus is quite, get the suite for a full kitchen, they have 2 grills outside also.We booked it for 4 of July Bc our dogs are scare of fireworks, we enjoyed the pool and went on hikings. We are from queens NY is a 35 ride.
Its a brand new building with nice amenities. The rooms are equipped with a full kitchen so its a really good value for families. If you are from out of town keep in mind theres absolutely no public transportation and that if you are planning on going to the city it will take you about an hour.
It was my first visit to New York and loved staying at Hyatr house white plains. Very calm ans serene surrounding. Their service was great. Loved their vegetable soup and vegetable chips. Even the orange juice was really good and didnt have the usual bitterness.I would love to stay again here and recommend to anyone. For the price it was great stay. I wish i had my trainers to use the gym and if it didnt rain would have used their shuttle service.
The room was nice but the temperature had to be adjusted several times due to humidity. The restroom was clean and well kept. There was a maintenance woman cleaning the restroom on 5/2 around 3pm I have asthma and was struggling to breathe she was very attentive and stayed nearby to make sure I was ok.
Was charged with a smoking fee due to incense ashes and ashes in a cup where we had outside but the bar was closed so we took it to the room . Manager said she smelled smoke when we left when initially when we got there someone on the floor was smoking and we alerted the front desk. I will never stay here again. If smoke detectors don’t go off or people don’t complain , whatever is left in our room shouldn’t be charged for a smokers fee
Big rooms with decent kitchenette. Quiet area though with a window to the parking lot we could hear cars being locked /beeping when trying to sleep. Decent place for reasonable price. Not fancy but very generous breakfast with many options (eggs, waffles, cereal, pastries, juices).
My wife and I stayed at the Hyatt house for 6 weeks, courtesy of my employer. And unfortunately, it was not a good experience for us.The main point being that our camera gear disappeared from our room. In the last couple of days of our stay, we searched everywhere and racked our brains to figure out where it could possibly have gone. And after a careful process of elimination, were confident it was last seen in the room. Thats an expensive camera and two lenses that are just gone.Normally, we would have put something that valuable into a safe, but the room doesnt come with one.The front desk staff assured us they looked into the matter and told us they didnt think anyone would take it. But didnt seem that apologetic.Besides that major issue, we had a lot of allergies in the room and got a bunch of little bites from sleeping in their bed, which by the way, is not comfortable. Also, dont eat in their restaurant. All in all, wed recommend avoiding staying there if you can. Wed be very hesitant to come back.
Front staff was very professional and courteous..But when it was time to leave the next morning check out was at 12pm .. and they came knocking twice in a hour to see when we were leaving .. we felt rushed and it was very unpleasant.. I’ve stayed at many hotels and never experienced this. Other then that the stay was good.
I love this hotel. The staff is always great. I’vebeen going here for at least 7 years. Roomsare always clean and beds are wonderful. IfI have to be away from home this is the bestplace to stay. I requested early checkin andKim really helped at checkin. Breakfast wasgood and every time I’ve stayed here it wasEXCELLENT!!!! Keep up the good work andgo train the staff at Yonkers. They need yourhelp badly.
A nice quiet place to stay with good breakfast including vegetarian options and have parking along with shuttle service for nearby places within 5 milesIt was my first visit to New York and loved staying at Hyatr house white plains.
3.5 stars. We first stayed here two years ago, this time has beenmuch more enjoyable. Theyre in the process of renovating & theyve done a beautiful job so far. The rooms are wonderfully furnished and very modern. The staff is very friendly and helpful.Ive deducted 1.5 stars for a few of reasons: the low speed internet connection - 2 mbps up and down, with frequent disconnections. They use direct TV, so many common channels are missing & half of the 30 or so channels are fuzzy. And finally, much of the hotel is a construction zone with several areas unavailable, including the outside dining & grill area as well as the main dining room.
Beautiful rooms, the employees are very welcoming and nice. The rooms are big and have a kitchen!! There are 2 tvs and a king bed. There is one thing that drives me insane, the keys demagnetize extremely easy compared to other hotels Ive been at. They should look into fixing this issue. Also, the ethernet is deactivated and you cannot connect to a cable, you can only use wifi which is somewhat slow of some things. I bought a chromecast and i cant connect to the internet.
The rooms were spacious and clean. There was some construction. The only thing was we went to check in early because of cancellations due to weather and there was no effort I feel in helping us. We were simply told check in is at 4pm and thats all. We were told they would call us if a room opened up and we never received a call. But the stay was fine.
Stayed for two nights. Great for families, but not so great for business travel. Booked 1 room suite, upgraded two two room suite. Room was fine, but appeared a bit aged and had a tired scent. Items were reasonably clean, but surely worn down. Overall as a business traveller, I would rather stay at the nearby Hyatt Place Younkers which was the same price during this time.
My girlfriend and I booked our room the same day as our stay. I called to confirm our reservation was processed and see if we could check in early. We were promptly told that “our kind isn’t allowed here”. When the manager was informed of the situation they denied the homophobic comment ever happened and refused to let us cancel our room. We ended up needing to buy a second hotel room somewhere else because we no longer felt safe or comfortable at a place that allows such blatant homophobia.
Had a very nice stay here in early October. Rooms were so homey and spacious. Staff were so friendly and helpful. I would stay again and recommend to others.(In my best Jerry Seinfeld voice) We only had one concern about the sign in the parking lot Slow, children at play... who are these children?! And more importantly where are the parents? LOL (see pics)
The glassware is getting really old, same one being used when I was there 5 years ago.The new breakfast area is very congested for serving 10s or 100s of guests that the hotel can accommodate.Forgot my charger in the room when checking out, called multiple times couldnt get it back.
Must have had a room that was forgotten when the renovation happened.Rm 141.1. Bottom of kitchen cabinet under sink missing, could see drain, food disposer etc.2. Kitchen counter had wire for microwave plugged into outlet by entrance door.3. Closer in bedroom had an ironing board holding up ash elf. Did not know it until I tried to hang upClothes in closet.4. No chair by desk area, second room had a chair.5. Fire detection warning unit in room was older than rest of units in building.Rm 2.. 3411. Bad Water pressure in bathroom sink2. If room was renovated they skipped painting and grout in bathroom.3. If you are a male, you need to lift seat to urinate. Seat would not stay up. ???Last dayWent to food area to get coffee and cereal to bring to room. I asked for tray and was toldthey did not have any. I tried to balance coffees and cereal on a plate, but spilled cereal and some coffee. Manager asked if I would like a tray. I told him that the food area did not have any. He went into the food area and brought me a tray. Can’t make this stuff up.I did receive a response from the manager apologizing for the issues, and hoped to see me again. If you really want to apologize don’t use the poor excuse by saying SORRY. Offer a genuine response like free day, or refund a day. Offer something that shows you really want my business again.
We came to town to stay at the hotel for a night for an event. The parking was fine, location was near where we needed to be, and the hotel was satisfactory. The room was a suite with two bedrooms with individual ensuites connected by a common area with a kitchenette. It could have been better updated and cleaner - lots of greasy fingerprints thoughout the kitchen. But it sufficed for a quick overnight. No substantial complaints, but nothing impressive either.
I stayed in the hotel Hyatt House Wyatt in White Plains New York and it was absolutely gorgeous. I was upgraded to a two bedroom suite and, without a doubt, it was the most spacious hotel Ive ever had the pleasure to stay in. The two bedroom suite included two separate bedrooms with their own bathrooms, each room had the ability to be closed off and the master bedroom, or Suite 1, could be closed off with double doors. The bathrooms were on the smaller side but had the vanity and sink area apart from the toilet and shower area, which made putting makeup on a more enjoyable experience. Each bedroom had a large sliding mirrored door closet allowing for plenty of room for luggage, as well as a desk and flat screen TV.The living area of the hotel was spacious as well, with a large flat screen TV, DVD player, large couch and an ottoman. The outlay was reminiscent of a studio apartment with the living area flowing into the kitchen area. The kitchen included a full size refrigerator, an oven, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher and sink. The kitchen was fully stocked with plates, bowls dishes, utensils, mugs, wine glasses - everything normally found in a kitchen. I didnt use it, but services were available for same day grocery shopping.Other services included a free shuttle service to nearby restaurants, complimentary breakfast and a Monday through Thursday Social Hour which featured food and free wine and beer, all of which could be taken up to your hotel room.Hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. A borrowing program was offered, which offered things that had been forgotten or were larger appliances and couldnt be packed.Animals were allowed and the hotel had a dog walking area available.Rooms were beautiful and clean. Hotel staff was friendly and welcoming. Lots of free and useful services that I havent seen anywhere else. Everything was wonderful, and if I could afford to I would live in one of those suites forever. The hotel was located close to the highway and I was less than ten minutes from my work site, but the location is quiet and set away from the highway. I didnt have the opportunity to explore but there were numerous nearby bars and restaurants.
So far my stay has been very amazing this place is awesome ! Everyone has been very accommodating and nice and I love the location of our room although I was sitting outside by the complementary fire enjoying a cigarette and a drink when a man came out who had been working at the bar/restaurant and I thought he was coming out for a brake or conversation but, no he just turned off the fire that I was sitting at keeping warm and just walked away, didn’t warn me nothing it was very cold and I didn’t appreciate him not saying anything to me and just walking away knowing that I was very much clearly keeping warm there. When I went to the bar earlier today he was slow and not accommodating or friendly. I tipped him well even though he wasn’t on point because I have compassion but this man obviously doesn’t for other people.
We stayed with Hyatt House for more than 20 nights recently. The rooms and kitchen are wonderful, spacious and the staff are really good and friendly. Theres some construction work going on next door so its noisy during weekday mornings, might disturb if youre into meetings, otherwise fine. The evening happy hour is an awesome thing!
I stayed here last night and got an allergy reaction to the bed and found a dead fly and human body part hair in the washroom. Do they switched us to another room to only be placed in a smoke smell and heavy bad odour room. So we got switched again. We forgot our toothbrush so when we asked, it was not complimentary and charge 2$ each. While other hotels are complimentary. I have a huge rash on my arm and I dont have any allergy to much as I have recently stayed at Marriott hotel night before. I did not have a pleasant experience here and would not recommend to stay here if you are in the area.
I like the place , been staying here for few times already at least once a year while visiting family in the area.Hotel has been renovated and all rooms are really , only reason for 4 star instead of 5 is that during the week breakfast is only served until 9am which is a bit early for ppl that wanna sleep in on vacation but still want to enjoy the breakfast without rushing.
They have an excellent facility, we have been here on an and off for nearly 2 years now. Past couple of months was bit crazy with all renovations but I really like staying here. Most of the staff is very good and helpful. The location is perfect too its right between Port Chester and white plains very near to Greenwich too.
Its like home away from home for me, I can prepare my own meals, or order out. All rooms has queen size beds, even the sofa-bed is queen size. A complete kitchen, with microwave, free hot or breakfast 7 days a week, wine and cheese, I can stay here for months and be happy.
They are in renovation. But even so the suites are still warm and beautiful, with free breakfast with your stay also fully renovated with a new look it was so nice a comfy, we stayed in a new renovated suite which was a bit smaller than the one we stayed in last time we were here, but none the less it was still so pleasant I didnt want to leave. I recommend hyatt house in white plains, n.y. to anyone you wont be disappointed. God bless.
I recently stayed there for business, terrible mistake, if you want to go to sleep don’t go to this hotel, you can hear everything from room to room and floor to floor not sound protection anywhere. I got woken up about 3 times. In addition there is major renovation next to the hotel construction starts at 630 am which means hammering begins
Front end check in process was a nightmare w/ corporate booking. Mary Ann needs a lesson in empathy and educated on what the words Im sorry and dont worry ,well figure this out means. Even though I had confirmation that she had received the email w/billing information~ she insisted she hadnt? She was incredibly condescending to another customer trying to check in. She kept explaining that incidentals covered like if you use the phone or break a lamp, so we can charge you? She must have told him if you break a lamp 3 times? Customer diservice. Restaurant breakfast was spotty at best. Late start on Monday, cold oatmeal on Tuesday and spoiled coffee creamer on Wednesday?
Unconscionably poor customer service. I booked a room which specified payment was not due until arrival and was later informed that it was nevertheless non-refundable. I called 5 days in advance to cancel the reservation and was told that they are going to charge my card over $500 for a room that is not going to be used and for which they were notified of cancellation well in advance. The booking process was misleading and the outcome results in a windfall to the hotel receiving fees for a room that is not going to be used. The issue was addressed by the GM of the hotel, Nick Chang, who ultimately made the call to refuse the cancellation. United Airlines and other hotels all allowed cancellation with refund or credit for other bookings for this trip. Hyatt House in Port Chester is the only establishment to refuse the cancellation, which is ironic because again, the booking process leads you to believe that youre not charged unless/until you check in. I will be taking this issue up with the Department of Consumer services for this area and will be challenging the charge on my credit card. As a long time patron of Hyatt hotels, I am very disappointed in the way this has been handled.
The Hyatt Hotel is out of the way in Westchester County New York. If youre looking for a place to sleep this is it. Not as expensive as other hotels. Its handicapped accessible. Free breakfast in the morning. Compared to other hotels in the area its a bargain. The decor is a little outdated. The beds are comfortable.
This is an out of the way residence hotel in White Plains, NY, most likely geared for business travelers. Weve stayed at this hotel twice now, on pleasure trips, and have received excellent service. It is quiet, there is free breakfast and internet, attend it is close to the area we were visiting.
The thermostat in my room didnt work. In the middle of April, the 4th floor can get a bit warm. My phone said it was 80 degrees in that room.I had to use my cell to contact the front desk because the phone in the room didnt work. When i did reach someone they rudely informed me that the A/C was disconnected because it wasnt summer yet. It took a bit to get them to send someone up.Once they saw that the thermostat was actually broken and how warm it was, my options were to move or get a fan. I had to be up in 5hrs so i took the damn fan.1: Why isnt there a maintenance person to fix something so simple as a thermostat?2: Who the F are these people to tell me when i can or cant have A/C in a room Im paying for?3: When a customer says something isnt working, dont argue. Just send someone to verify.
AC in my first room was not working, so we got moved to a second room. Fully furnished kitchen was clean and stocked with necessary plateware, silverware, and cookware. Full complementary breakfast bar includes hot dishes, toast and bagels, oatmeal, and cold cereals.
Another excellent Hyatt. Just stayed one night, but was upgraded to a huge two bedroom suite for free. The whole suite was spotless (both bedrooms and bathrooms plus the full kitchen). The full size kitchen (Fridge, Stove, Appliance, glasses, dishes, etc.) were all stainless. Three large LCD tv’s (one in each room). All this plus a nice hot breakfast for a $120. I know it normally is $2.. something, but it would be more than worth that price too. We found our new place to stay for trips to NYC, it’s only a 30 minute commuter ride to Grand Central (from White Plains station 5 minutes away). White Plains also has a nice down town area with mall, shopping, pubs, and good restaurants. We will stay here again for sure!
A 3 star extended stay hotel in White Plains. Perfect for what I needs to be, but dont expect anything to write home about. Mattress was rather poor, but rooms clean and large. Definitely not a resort, but perfect to base yourself for work or other events in the area.
Its my first time there...very pleasant...an excellent choice for business travelers. Its right next to highway I-287, very convenient. It seems a lot of people impacted by storm Sandy temporarily staying there at this time. Also met a FEMA official from Idaho who is helping the recovery effort after Sandy and chatted during the complimentary social dinner time.Highly recommended, will stay there next time
The guy at the front desk after 11pm (on Wednesday) is an idiot. A real circus idiot. He does not understand the very basics of customer service, how credit cards work or how to dress. The front desk staff during the night are completely unaccommodating.UPDATE: Spoke with the Sales Manager Michele and she credited the points back to my account. She was excellent.
A hotel without a restroom in the lobby. At reception there was a Black American woman who has a attitude and turned every customer who needs to go to the fresh room first before getting a room booked.I do believe there is a rest room in the lobby but her Law is book a room first.

2022-05-08Nice rooms but they are not cleaned during your stay. You must request fresh towels . The bar food is absolutely horrible the pizza taste like frozen microwave pizza ,the cheeseburger is hard and dry. The breakfast sausage, eggs bagels and oatmeal where good but the French toast was hard and dry. The Hyatt at one time stood for luxury and 5 star Hotels. Not sure what happened to this place.

2022-05-19Overall a good stay. The room is like a mini 1 bed apartment with full size fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee making, stove, etc. The rooms are spacious with one of the most comfortable beds and pillows. Rooms are newly renovated and my only complaint was the urine on the toilet seat and around the floor which the cleaner must have missed. I love that you can open a window for fresh air.Facilities include a gym, decent enough to get a sweat on, coin operated laundry with soap for sale, business centre, bar, free breakfast with a basic but decent spread, free coffee and I did see an outdoor pool area but wasn’t there long enough to test the waters. The location is super quiet and I felt safe staying here.Staff were friendly on check in and check out. I would stay here again.

2022-02-18I like this place even though my stays are less than 3 hours. Beds are comfortable and rooms are really clean. Staff provides great customer service. Taylor at the front desk is a keeper

2022-06-03Would recommend never staying at this hotel. Tried to give the benefit out the doubt as everyone makes mistake but the management does not take ownership of their own problems. The items in the room I was staying in were removed prior to check out. This is a security policy violation as Hyatt states they are to notify the tenant prior to entering the room. No notification was given. The director of hotel management, David, promised to provide a report stating a remediation plan but instead sent a vague email claiming the incident “may have happened”. Imagine walking into your room and finding out all of your items were not only removed but selectively thrown out but also finding out David’s title isn’t what he claimed when talking in person. Lessons learned on my end, call the police and file a report.Another incident occurred where a Hyatt employee was driving forward out of a parking spot and collided with my vehicle in the back right. Hyatt employee immediately pointed blame while taking no ownership. The employees and management simply do not care as business ramps up during the summer time. Guest previous comments on dead rodents are spot on. You’ll find rooms full of spiders and other insects. You’ll find rooms where they didn’t even clean.

2022-03-31This place is disgusting. The room smelled so badly, the floors were sticky, the common areas are dirty, sheets were dirty, AC is broken. Impossible to sleep because of how dirty it feels in there. Fire alarm went off at 5am because the boiler exploded. Carpets were soaked, elevators out of order. Worst hotel stay I’ve ever had in my life. Hyatt needs to get serious about this and understand how to address the issues here.

2022-02-28Positive: Beds were comfy, shower was good, room temperature was good. Negative: The Grab-and-Go breakfast left something to be desired. There was a cold breakfast biscuit. Where do we heat it? There was supposed to be a muffin, but our bags didnt have one. The fruit was a Granny Smith apple - too tart for breakfast.

2022-03-31Positive: Pet friendly and had full kitchens in certain rooms. Negative: There seems to be a hot water system that is not working well, I couldn¿t get hot water when I needed it and sometimes the shower and sinks would go cold while using the water. They took the money from my debit card BEFORE I checked out, entire amount

2022-05-21The price was reasonable and the room was clean, however I had issues with the room key which was a shared issue with several other guests. The lock on my door had clearly been broken and repaired. These combined were enough to take away from the experience.

2022-05-05Great front desk personnel & service. Nicely appointed rooms, good breakfast in the AM and a very nice bar/break area for an evening cocktail! Highly recommended!
