Excellent ice cream and customer service!
Lots and lots of choices for everyone from soft ice cream to hard ice cream, sundaes and shakes, cones and bowls. They offer my favorite flavor bursts in blu goo.....which has been very hard to find this year. They also offered out door seating that worked with social distancing requirements.
Very good ice cream, lots of outdoor seating. Only problem is that you have to cross the parking lot to get to some of the pick nick tables. Cars sometimes pull in fast because it is off a main road.
I sadly dont have any photos to post for this review because I was too busy shoveling food in my mouth. The hot dog buns are basically Texas Toast, which just adds epic to the hot dog. The shakes are always thick and flavorful. Everyone is always friendly and the quality of the food is also great.I have never had a bad experience here.
Best ice cream around. I prefer the flavor burst and if you do too, I recommend going here for sure. They arent stingy on the flavor for their flavor bursts. Other places seem to put far too little flavor in to where its like plain vanilla ice cream. They have tables with umbrellas and benches. Good size parking lot and located in a section of central Ave that allows for easy in and out.
Their ice cream is great and the service is awesome. All the young adults there are sweet and fast.Weve been going here for years but we recently got a puppy and brought him here. The kind staff gave him a sample of doggy vanilla and now theyve made one more life customer.Try this place, they have a million flavors of everything.

So far, our favorite ice cream stand in the area. Delicious ice cream and sundaes. Lots of places to be seated and a nice spreadout of seating areas. Clean seating areas, too. While enjoying our ice cream, we noticed that the staff stopped by just to check on if any tables needed clean up. They didnt, since the staff seems to be on top of the cleanliness. Did I mention its delicious here?!
This ice cream shop on Central Ave and colonie was a nice shop and had a lot of people there we stopped there for a car show me plus one and not too many people were there with their cars but it was a nice night for a ride and we enjoyed ourselves so Ive had ice cream there in the past and it was good and the rest of it I guess well just work as we go have a pleasant day be well the end
The Icecream is delicious! The Prices have gone high. The Hot dogs R grilled fresh! So it takes a few minutes.
Absolutely the best ice-cream around! The flavors are amazing, the size is perfect and the soft serve is not to sweet but not bland! I love this place so much ❤️❤️❤️
This was my first visit here and I am sure it wont be my last!! They are really friendly and the ice cream was delicious!! I have been so disappointed with some of the local shops from not so friendly service to mediocre ice cream. This place gave me hope even though a bit out of my way it is well worth the extra travel.
A Perrys hard ice cream shoppe with 35 flavors, and a great selection of soft flavors as well. If you want a sundae, float, shake,split or waffle bowl, you can have it here. The best Ice cream shop in the entire area.
Found this shop on our way home from Schenectady. Enjoyed some chocolate frozen custard, yummmm! Easy to see from the road, plenty of parking in the private parking lot. Walk up service window was very welcoming. Service was pleasant and fast.

I like this generically-named ice cream shop. Service is good. They have a nice selection of Perry Brand hard flavors in addition to van/choc soft.
I really like stopping here. Their ice cream is excellent and not at a bad price at all. Its a nice place to sit a a wonderful summers day. They have sun shaded benches and tables. Its also in a convenient location on the Niskayuna side of Colonie right on Central Avenue. It is across the way from Lia Toyota. Traveling west its on the right with easy parking. I am not sure about restrooms. There is handicapped parking and this place is wide open. Ill be going back often.
This is one of the best ice cream stands in the capital region! So many different flavors and varieties ...huge in size too. We Love it and try to go out of our way to go there!!!
Real good cheap ice cream better than Bumpys Rich smooth and a lot of flavors especially my favorite this time of year pumpkin pie ice cream and Grandmas baked apple pie ice cream with crust included try a scoop or two its really delicious and well worth it
I just had a fresh fruit, mixed berry sundae - blueberries strawberries and raspberries - over vanilla soft ice cream, with whipped cream, nuts, and a cherry on top.. It was excellent!
Very nice setup that protected social distancing. Once at the window ordering and order fulfillment happen quickly. As always, the ice cream is really delicious!

I ordered a Supposedly large cone it was the smallest Large cone Ever.When she handed it to me i said thats a large & she said yes.I got home & called & asked 2 speak 2 the manager wouldnt u no the girl who waited on me Was the manager. I said that was the smallest large cone i had Ever gotten no less an over $4 cone. She said it looked small but it was the amount I was supposed to get. I said I would Never come back with my business. She acted like she could care less & did not offer any kind of compensation. Very bad customer service & I Always thought the customer wad Never wrong. I went 2 Scoups on Shaker Road the next night & I bought a QUART of Home made soft vanilla for a Fair price of $6.75 & my girlfriend got a Small cone for $2.50 that was bigger than the large cone I got here for 4.50. The only thing home made here is the uncomfortable picnic tables. The manager made NO attempt 2 re$olve my complaint so i would advise you 2 go Elsewhere
The owner Nick is a great man and very friendly. He comes to my job as a customer so I came to his and my experience was worth more than 5 stars. Thank you Nick for your kind service and hospitality!!! My daughter and I will be back very soon!
I love coming here for ice cream its so good I love bringing my dogs too because they get free doggy ice cream in a bowl and they go nuts for it I think babies get free ice cream too

Got a reeses flury, it was the skimpiest flury i ever had. It was barely 3/4 full, and hardley any reeses. Sorry, but Bumpys is much better, not worth the trip!!!

Not the best the young lady there made my son and I wait while she water the outside plants , the flurry was not done right the candy was chopped very big.

2022-05-30Although the chocolate custard wasnt available today the vanilla was so fresh and delicious! The girls even used fresh sprinkles out of the carton so I didnt have to worry about my tree nut allergy. Plenty of clean places to sit and enjoy a moment of quiet.

2022-05-23Me and my Husband went here our first time we ordered 2 hot fudge sundays came to $ 27.00 are u kidding me. Not worth it we asked the girl at the counter it says 8.50 she said we don’t control the prices I said wow we won’t ever come here again we will go to Stewart’s a lot cheaper way to expensive and they charge you extra for toppings. If your wealthy this is your place! Hubby was served in a long boat dish we asked for just a regular hot fudge his was soft vanilla hot fudge strawberry’s a few pieces nuts whipped cream cherry I got hot fudge soft in a different dish twist hot fudge nuts whipped cream 1 cherry I thought 27.00 dollars was excessive

2022-02-12Chocolate custard! Wonderful treat from my long-ago childhood in upstate NY. Nothing fancy here, but that doesnt detract from experiencing the creamy goodness of frozen custard.

2021-09-11Yuck! Ice cream had zero flavor. Couldnt tell vanilla from chocolate- no distinguishing flavor. It all tasted sort sweet and cold- nothing else. Really high priced- 5.75 for a small cube with sprinkled- menu said 3.50. Even questioned- told the rest was for sprinkles- seriously? 2 bucks for sprinkles? Rip off...

2020-07-16Wow! When out of town I typically don’t review too often, but felt it was necessary and deserved! As for the ice cream it was delicious and no problems with prices etc. I had to ask the young lady’s name that helped me because I appreciated her helping me out and not getting annoyed by my indecisiveness. She was so friendly and even offered me a samples! I applaud her patience as the customer in front of me was very rude, but you would have never known. I wanted to compliment Erin, so I asked if the owner was there and that’s when I met Jordyn who is the manager. She was so friendly and engaged in a nice conversation from soft serve, flavors, and precautions she is taking to keep her customers and staff safe! She truly seemed to take pride in her work! I asked her what ice cream she liked and to get me a scoop because I figured it had teeth whitener in it! Due to her happy energy I couldn’t help but notice she had the whitest teeth I’ve ever seen! (Guys she had a ring on ha!) Long story short you’re missing out on not only amazing ice cream, but more importantly a hardworking and friendly staff! You should definitely try out The Ice Cream Shop!

2021-08-13Good ice cream plenty of options for everyone. They also serve your basic walk up food hotdogs 🌭. Try the sherbet cooler, rainbow 🌈 sherbet mixed with sprite.
