Was able to get a pretty good price on selling my car here. As someone who has only bought cars and not sold, I usually feel like I have to be on my toes when deal with auto dealers to not get taken advantage of but there was none of that with these guys. Louis and Joel were very helpful and friendly. Would recommend to anyone.

I anxiously researched car buying options before calling Louis to talk about the Subaru Forester he had on the lot. Louis was courteous and communicative about the car itself as well as his availability and the car buying process. When on site, David was kind, straightforward and generous. I ended up buying the car for what feels like a great deal in part because these guys have treated me so well. Honest, not pushy, polite, willing to meet me where they can. Best car buying experience Ive ever had.I commuted all the way from west Jersey to purchase a car from them, the owner Louis kept up constant and very helpful communication throughout the entire exchange. Even when my own insurance company was proving difficult in providing the necessary documents to get a temporary transit permit, Louis and his team had the patience to sit with me and work out the logistics of the issue all in the most courteous and helpful manner.Brakes and oil were changed before I left the lot, all in only a days notice. The car was clean, as-advertised and then some. Having bought a few used cars over the years, theres always been at least one disappointing surprise discrepancy with the car that dealerships are so well adept to hiding.. Not here. The only surprise being was how well maintained the car was kept and cared for. They even provided someone to transport the vehicle for me so I could drive home in my old car.All this for a low-end model at a great price.. I really couldnt be more grateful.

I have not bought a used car in close to a decade. Needed to get a decent, used car and had such trepidation about the experience. I also did not have a lot of time to spend searching. I went to two dealers and Alan at Ideal was so much more engaging and informative than the first dealer I went to. Louis was also a pleasure to work with and they gave me a good deal on the car. Here is why I give ideal 5 stars. Not a great location, not a comfy office to sit in. BUT the nicest, most decent, most honest used car dealership you will find. WORTH the trip. If you care about the integrity of the people you are buying a used car from, Lou or Allan are the best. The place has been in business for 80 years and they are old school honest. You do NOT get pushed or pressured. They work out terms as best they can. I will be back when I need to buy a car.
Great place, very accommodating, recommended by my local mechanic in Valley Stream. the owner is from Lynbrook and has great cars on his lot. Even with my absolutely terrible credit, they were able to work with me and get me into the car I saw online and had a payment plan which would have been 2 years but was half of what I was expecting to pay. In the end I switched to a higher monthly and a shorter term for the loan to get this paid off with less interest in less than one year. They were also able to tow my broken down car from Valley Stream to get some trade in value for it. I worked with Ryan and Louis and highly recommend them.The only gripe I could say is that the car wasnt 100% cleaned, which honestly is not a big deal to me. It was definitely wiped and vacuumed, just not enough in my opinion. I also picked up the car at 6PM so I was not even going to think of asking if they can clean it right before close, and it was something I could do myself in under 10 minutes. There were some stickers and their papers taped to the window were left in the back seat, but I was so excited to be in it I didnt even notice until I got home.And again, I do not care about that little cleanliness matter, it was definitely wiped down at least once, I just felt the need to include it so it didnt sound like I was just going through the motions and ignoring any faults, and if anybody is looking for a spotless car to friendly remind them to really look before pulling away.Also with this location in Queens parking is sometimes a real pain, the first time I parked up Queens Blvd and paid the meter since I was still picking out the car, test driving, working on financing, etc. But after that I just pulled into the KFC lot since my time on the lot would be less than 20 minutes at a time. Overall went there four times.

I purchased a vehicle here a few months back (2008 Ford Escape). The purchase process was very smooth, and I liked the fact things werent too pushy pushy for a sale. Everyone was nice. I needed to sell my car ( Honda accord 2007) and after visiting 2 car dealers I went to Ideal auto exchange and Louis make the process a pleasant experience, being honest and straightforward, I didnt hesitated to sell my car to them and agreed on a good price for me, I will definitely recommend them .
I needed to sell my car quickly & so I searched the internet high & low. I stumbled upon Cash4Carz & Kelly Blue Book & submitted inquires through both. Kelly Blue Book sent my information out to a couple of dealerships including Ideal Auto. Louis contacted me & let me know he was interested without any pressure. He was extremely easy to talk to & accommodating. Cash4Carz reached out & offered me an extremely low number & told me dealerships (like Louis’s) would try to low ball me & rip me off. Boy, was he wrong! It was the complete opposite. Louis was understanding & kind. The original offer by KBB was lowered significantly when Louis saw the vehicle in person but Louis explained throughly why that was & the science behind the pricing. Even though I didn’t get the price I wanted, I trusted Louis, got an amount I understood & was content with. It was overall a great experience. He even followed up with a courtesy call thanking me. 100% recommended.
The Real Inside Look ! Before you going buying a car from here do your homework. Many of the cars are overpriced. Don’t be fooled the cars listed online do NOT include sales tax and dmv fees. If you want to do the buy here pay here program they will charge you a extra 750 dollar charge for a tracking device that they only pay 100 for. Before you buy any car take it to your mechanic and have it checked in and out. NEVER sign a deposit non-refundable contract. Make sure you pick up your car check it and make sure all demands are met. They charge you a 24.75 APR rate and say it’s cause of your credit and you can have terrible credit. They use the fact they been there for 89 years to fight the fact that their cars aren’t overprice. Don’t be fooled they are a scam as much a regular dealership.

Ideal Auto is the best place to buy your next used car. I bought a 1994 Toyota Camry 18 yrs ago at ideal auto and i still have the car uptil this day. Their cars are of very good quality and they are very helpful and honest. I recently bought my second used car. A 2009 Toyota Corolla and i absolutely love it. I will never shop anywhere else for a used car, but Ideal Auto.
Ideal Auto is the place to buy a used car. We had looked on Craigslist for about a month with no luck - all the cars we looked at were not what they were listed to be. We decided to try a dealership and were so happy we stumbled across Ideal Auto. They give you exactly what they advertise and only sell vehicles that are in good condition and recently serviced. They are nice people, good treatment. The only thing they are toooooooo slow to do all the paper work. They still work with 1980 sistem. Plus the car i bought they told me they will clean it and do all the services , thay didn’t do the shampoo, no Carwash, no oil change. I almost blowout my car because they didn’t even bothered putting antifreeze.! Thats why i give them 3 ⭐️.

2022-03-25The anxiety began once I decided to purchase a secondary car & after weeks of research & reading hundreds of reviews from different places I came across this place & it did truly prove why these guys been here for this long . If your looking for a stress free process buying a good car from good people save yourself the headache & just come here . The price is reasonable & doesn’t change,expect to pay your tax tags & other small fees of course but not those fake fees dealers usually want you to pay. Not here . They were also very very helpful with helping me get the second loan approved. Also i must add that my battery light did come on after driving around for 1 hour but it’s not a deal breaker for me being that we do take a risk when buying a used car doesn’t matter where you buy it from especially if the vehicle is already at least 10+ years old . So I do understand that we are human & something’s are out of our control plus the car had been sitting for some Months I bought the car yesterday took it to my mechanic early this morning & he confirmed my thoughts because the light would come on & go off. He stated the battery is good the alternator is good the car just needs to been driven more. So folks please find a reliable car do your research on it & go for it . I just wanted to leave a honest review & would highly recommend this place & continue to shop here . I appreciate the stress free buying process guys. I hope to have the car for many years & enjoy it ✨🤝

2022-06-28I wanted to sell my 2015 Honda Pilot and I received a cash offer sent to my phone from ideal Auto Exchange. Made an appointment to come and show my suv and David was the person who I spoke with and made the deal with. I ended up selling my car to David for a good price. Transaction was fast. David took a 360 view of my suv and test drove it and settled on a price and the keys were his. I would definitely sell my car in the future to them again. Communication was great, the vibes were great, over all experience was great. A+

2022-01-08Sold my lease 2019 Forester Touring. Louis is very nice even I had to haggle abit. But I still got the best price over others. You have to know the condition of your car and where you stand. Cashed the check same day. They paid off my lease 4 days later.I was very skeptical about this place in the beginning because their quote is the highest and other bad reviews. But after doing some research, I decided get it a try, worst case is call the cops, lol.Great experience!!! Recommend to all.

2021-09-04Sold my car here at a very reasonable price (polite and fast appraisal) after visiting ~10 dealerships. Louis was very helpful and honest. He talked to me over the phone so I would not waste time by driving down here (other dealers would refuse to give you an estimate). The whole process took 30 minutes and I was given a check on the spot (no haggling/surprises). Would highly recommend selling/buying your car here!

2022-04-26Lewis was great and the whole experience was incredibly pleasant. If you’re thinking of buying or selling your car, call these guys, they’ve been around since 1929 for a very good reason! I also forgot a very nice pair of sunglasses and they were quick to get them to me. Wonderful service, cannot recommend enough.
