IHOP in other cities:
This place is a testament to mediocrity. An apathetic staff, plastic silverware, food thats clearly been frozen and microwaved. But thats fine. I knew what I was walking into when I decided to go. I dont need every experience to be top tier. Sometimes good enough is good enough.
This IHOP on Livingston street advertising a Rise and Shine breakfast special for 5.00 dollars on the the Window.between 7-9 am..I took the bus and was sitted and I was told its to go only.. a second person went out to check out the sign and all it said was see store for details..I said it doesnt say anything about it was to go special and another person offered me to sit in the corner and they would give me pancakes and scrambled eggs...Not what the Rise and Shine breakfast special is about.. I said it comes with hash browns and eggs and toast and bacon or sausage. I didnt get the Rise and Shine so I walked out. And will not suggest this IHOP to anyone. So disappointed ☹️.
Worst IHOP Dine in experience ever. I sat down for 15 minutes before anyone came up to me. After I ordered they brought my food with no utensils. I had to wait 5 more minutes for utensils. The girl brings back a plate full of salt and pepper and got my order wrong and forgot my drink. When asking for my bill she asks me for If I want change she comes back and gives me less than what my change is and says oh yeah I owe you a dollar right do you want it. Never again the food was was burnt the order was wrong and the service was terrible wouldnt recommend anyone going there and definitely wont go back.
Good for breakfast. They dont always serve grits, though. During peak hours theres a 15 min wait. Take a lot of patience with you and enjoy your favorite IHOP treats. There is a lift and bathroom accessibilty for people with disabilities. One great thing is the tea. Love that tea.
First the floor was sticky you could feel the bottom of you shoe sticking to the floor and pealing away every step you make. Then I got a crinkle up menue like it had been used or grabbed with anger. The seats were not cleaned. Every food particles that was in the table was on the seats. It was about 11:30 am we dine there and it was not much people there either. They did ask for vacation Id. The food was okay..
The atmosphere, service, wait time and food was delicious as usual. The only negative was I had to ask for water at the table after lookin over and seeing everyone else was served water without asking. That was no biggie though. I enjoyed it very much, and would definitely go back and highly recommend ihop to travelers in town. 5 stars
Broke bread with one of my close friends today and what a marvelous experience we had. The place wasnt crowded, the staff was efficient (shout to our waitress KIM), we got seat right away, everyone was super accommodating and kiss the cook. I cant believe how succulent the steak. Food was cook to perfection and we were in and out within the according to the muni-meter. Keep it up, I love it🤤😘🤩😍🥰🤤👍
Pretty much what youd expect from an IHOP. The service was adequate. Although the restaurant seemed to be understaffed with too few waitresses. The staff was friendly though. I had a burger which was average, not quite worth the $13-$14 price range. The pumpkin pancakes were nice. But the many of the kids meals portions were way too small.
Im disappointed they NEVER have grits! Its been like this pre pandemic and yet it continues. The appetizer sampler was also cold. The customer service was excellent though. Please place grits back in the menuUpdate 3/12/2022:This place still doesnt have grits. This is very disappointing. The waitress gave a lame excuse claiming there was no delivery.
•Ordered a spinach and mushroom omelette theres no spinachordered hashbrowns they cut it into a rectangle(thats just weird )•the Colorado omelette but they forgot our salsa (brought it about half way through the omelette)•the pancakes are fine (though it is IHOP)so thats what really counts apparently will not be tipping here.•It took about an hour to get my ice water•Not toilet paper in the restroom•The only good thing was the 10% discount for not having spinach. Should have been more like a %50 discount with how terrible the service was.
I reluctantly dined for an order of Belgium Waffles. As soon as I entered, my regret meter started to rise. The staff were busy chatting amongst themselves. An employee yelled from across the floor if I needed assistance. When I attempted to answer, she giggled and walked away. Another employee approached me and after realizing I was not part of the party he had just attended to, he presented me to a table. The restaurant smelled stale and musty. The air conditioning unit roared with emissions that gave off an equally unpleasant odor. The server was not so pleasant as she presented that she was more annoyed? After placing my order, half of it was cold. She took it back with the offer that a new order would be made.I wish that employees were provided with optimal and outstanding training that would then be passed on to their guests. This particular participating IHOP was by far a complete disappointment for customer service, food quality and overall poor atmosphere.
As many know, all-you-can-eat pancakes are back for IHOPs 60th anniversary so I decided to try out this location.Im not sure if it was the time (4pm) but service was excruciatingly slow despite hardly anyone there. It took roughly 35 minutes for a 5-stack order. My server also coldly received me, did not refill water, and was deliberately slow to give exact change (I get you want a tip but Id like actual service). The rest of the staff, in comparison, was pleasant and courteous. I dont see myself coming back to this location.
The wait to be seated wasn’t bad. I waited 10mins to be seated and the host was cool. After 25mins from being seated a worker in a blue shirt who have been giving other customers food came up to me and said the server just clocked in. After another 20 mins I left. Nobody took my order, gave me a glass water on this super hot day, nothing. Disappointed
My experience at IHOP today was great. The service was excellent. The waitresses were very helpful in seeing that my mom who is wheelchair bound was assisted in getting comfortable. The food was exactly as ordered. It was good and hot. The waitress came back several times to be sure everything was ok and to inquire if there was anything else we needed. Also the head person in charge came over to make sure all was well. All in all, it was a very enjoyable experience. 👍
Every restaurant in NY has made a effort to keep standards during covid. This is a major chain restaurant it has to be predictable. The service was to say kindly, really BAD. The pancakes were overcooked, the waitress literally told me my gravy for the chicken fried steak is in the microwave. The gravy came out looking like glue in a small plastic ketchup cup. Microwave means not fresh!!! The syrup was in packets not traditional glass jars. I was given plastic utensils for a chicken fried steak. How is someone supposed to eat a steak with a cheap plastic fork so, basically my fork bent. My childs burger was overcooked. Eggs were tasteless. The tomatoes looked a day old. IHOP just close this branch. Youre done.
Sorry for zero rating. We went to the restaurant and sat in the dining room for 15 minutes to wait for any waiter to receive our order. Unfortunately no one even bother to look at us. Finally we got so frustrated that we left the restaurant without eating. Will never visit that place again.
Stopped in this morning for the first time since the pandemic and it was not busy at all. In fact, the place was literally empty except for one customer enjoying her breakfast in a cozy little corner. The manager greeted me with Good Morning. I asked for a table for one and the greeter asked me to sign in. I guess were still doing contact tracing in some restaurants and I was only the third person to do so. He then checked my temperature, sat me at a table closest to the bathroom ...in an empty restaurant ...and told me a server will be with me. The manager AND the greeter disappeared into the back. Meanwhile, a woman stood at the entrance waiting to be helped for the entire 10 minutes I sat there waiting for a server, at which point I left.
We went to this restaurant last week on Tuesday and we waited for aboit 15 min. I was in line and the hosts asked somebody else that was in in line (had just walked in) how many are in her group when I was next. He asked me and left ca.e back for the person that he had asked before me and left with them by then it was about 20-25 min. Of waiting. I told my husband and kids lets go. They were to slow my kids were starving so we went somewhere else to eat. We will not return to this IHOP location again!
Unbelievably ghetto and inefficient. My daughter even expressed that the greeter seemed like he did not want to be there or could care less if we stayed or left. Notification System is down so after we drove around for more that a half hour to fine parking, then find out the wait time would be an additional half hour, which in itself is understandable under the current circumstances. However, the issue arose when, without any empathy, we were notified that we we could not wait at the location to be seated, but Notification that were were next to be seated could only be done verbally. Then when asked how that would work, we were notified that if we were not present when verbally called, they would simply move on to the next in line. Management needs to address this immediately ot thie establishments businesses days are numbered.
Hi I hope you & you’re family are doing fine! Unfortunately my chicken tenders were over cooked & their were flies throughout our whole stay the bathroom wasn’t quite tidy. I am grateful to be able to sit in & my husband hasn’t had fish in a while due to our living situation so he really enjoyed that part thank you! God Bless
The food is quite good — the pancakes are delicious, the chicken fried steak was good (and I’m not a steak person AT ALL), and the hash browns and eggs were fine. The portions are large so bring your appetite. Service was fast but very impersonal — the server didn’t even look at me while dropping off my food. They have plenty of seasonal specials, so I’ll probably be back for one of those.
Its an IHOP! Food is solid. Think of diner food. Consistent, nothing fancy, but solidly good. Been to this location a few times. Service is consistently friendly and relatively quick. Weekends can get busy with families. Other than that most often you can grab a table with little to no wait. Meals are moderately priced. A big shout out to Candy. She was GREAT even though she was clearly busy with lots of families.
I have been craving IHOP Breakfast for some time now & this is the Morning that I was able & had the time to treat Myself...& Boy OBoy, IHOP on Livingston St, [Dwntwn, BK] Did not disappoint, I had My Fav...Pancakes, Topped w/Strawberries, Cream cheese drizzled along with Whipped Cream & a side of Well done, Crispy Bacon...I also had Two Delicious Splashberries...This was Well worth the wait, My Server was Extremely attentive & So Friendly, She goes above & Beyond w/Her Customer Service skills, A True Gem 💎 in My book...
Food was okay but arrived late and half of it was cold. Server was not attentive and unfriendly.she barely uttered two words and after passing the empty glasses on our table half a dozen times, I had to basically flag her down and ask for a refill. The only thing she was fast in bringing was the bill while we were still eating, with no questions whether we needed anything else or anything.
Easily the most surreal experience ever. Waited fifteen minutes for a waitress to come and take my order. Then thirty minutes later another person comes to the table and says there’s an issue with my order...they have no gravy. A breakfast restaurant with no gravy for biscuits and gravy and it took them thirty minutes to figure that out? This place is an absolute joke.
The service was absolutely horrible. The waiter took extremely long to take our order, then he took forever to bring our drinks. On top of that, my sister order another cup of coffee and it took 40 mins to arrive. We had to ask another waiter for it. To make the experience even worse, the food was okay wasnt anything special. We stayed there for three hours and not once did the waiter check in on us and asked if we were okay or if we needed anything else. He didnt even come for us to ask for the bill. We had to go get him . Which was completely unprofessional and annoying. All my family and I wanted was a good Sunday meal. And I must say, I would never return to iHOP again. None of us will. It was our first experience and our last at this horrible restaurant where the waiter did not give a single DAMN about the customers.
Very disappointed I order 2 rotty tooty, told them I didn’t wanted the hash brown and bacon.I wanted ham and mash potatoes instead. They got my order all mixed up and wrong! To topped it off, they gave me bacon still. And the two mash potatoes one was filled correct and the other one like someone leftover you can see the folk marks in it and it was very very little. No strawberries.Never coming here again. I had to throw the two orders away. Waste of money mad!
Very disappointed due to their service. Went to this restaurant on Sunday October 13, 2019 while I had wait 20 minutes to be seated where I noticed there were empty tables laying around for two people.Service quality was bad. Washroom was not clear enough. Most important, napkins were not available in the washroom. Seemed like, nobody was monitoring it either.Waiter and Waiteresses were not caring to their guests. Order took longer to be served. Couldnt find anybody to get refill drinks. Finally, had to request bus person to refill my drinks where I was being full charged for the refill drinks on my check.
Sometimes the fish tastes good but not all the products are consistent enough, pancakes doesnt taste like ihop pancakes ). Also the employees, the time it takes to bring the food to the table or to carryout, even just to get a cup of water for the table, takes forever (20-38 mins)! There would be like only 3 tables that need servicing and there wouldnt be anyone on the floor to serve customers...plus the serving sizes are too small
My wife and I went to the IHOP on Livingston Street in downtown Brooklyn New York on Saturday afternoon December 21, 2019. My wife ordered the harvest grain pancakes and I ordered the holiday special green pancakes. My holiday special green pancakes were absolutely delicious. My wifes harvest grain pancakes were gummy and not satisfactory. I told my wife to ask for another harvest green pancake order. But my wife refused saying that its probably the flower that was used to make the pancakes and the next batch of harvest grain pancakes would not be any better. Marie our server was very good. And our booth that we sat in was clean and the syrup bottles were not sticky. With the exception of the gummy harvest green pancakes our visit to the IHOP was satisfactory. Sincerely, Mr. and Mrs. Barbee
IHOP rocks and their food is great. Let that sink in. At this this location thats where the positives end. The service is slow. Double check your final check before you leave. I have been there three times in two months I have had minor mistakes twice. Dont come here for quick meal everything is slow but once it comes out does that make up for everything?
Entered the restaurant and it was almost empty. The staff was chilling together because there was nothing to do. The place was stinking, I was already unsure of the hygiene. No one acknowledged that we entered so we just took one of the many empty spots. The waitress came 5 minutes later and heres the first thing she said, For future reference, you wait. Rudely. No greetings at all. Thats all. We left. What a horrible experience.
I was surprised with the coffee price $4.99 for a jar that was for 2 people. I understand if they charge me $4.99 for a jar, only for me. However they charge us $4.99 2 times and gave us 1 jar!Theres a difference. I felt kinda robbed, ah but it is New York and everything is crazy here. So 🤷
The worst dinning experience ever the staff and manager at this location are so unprofessional. After my last visit two days ago I would never recommend anyone go here! I was completely upset waiting for a soup that should have come out with my meal I waited longer then 30 min with no excuse or accommodation as to why the soup never made it out the kitchen the server offered to bring me a check I was surprised when I hadnt even gotten my soup yet. Then she never came back to the table 😒. I then spoke to The manager who was very unprofessional and did not offer to comp my food only offering a two dollars discount. giving me a discount as if she was doing me a favor after expressing to her how dissatisfied I was.she only insulted me her idea of smoothing things over was to actually let me pay for an incomplete meal. I did not feel the service was even decent at that point i left payment and stormed out this place I felt completely it was completely disrespected. It was very upsetting never will I never return to this location.
Nice atmosphere, plenty of seating room. Typical IHOP but not what you might expect from a Brooklyn eatery. Ive been here several times and I have never had a bad experience with service (nothing unreasonable) and the crowds have always been decent (no roughty behavior)
It was awful the food was a mess they got parts of my order wrong and the parts that wasnt incorrect was thrown together and nasty. The childrens chicken strips were undercooked inedible. This has never been my favorite IHOP but I expected better then the garbage I got.
Metered up for 1 hour and walked exactly 1 minute to this location. For a Saturday afternoon it was very empty but yet we were told that we had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. Was seated 25 minutes. An additional 20 minutes our sever came so we ordered food and drinks to reduce the wait. Went to the restroom and almost slipped in a huge puddle of water from a leak in the ceiling. Cute little red lunch pale bucket was no help. Food arrived and husband went back out to meter up. I told him 30 minutes and were out; he put 45 minutes.BTW food wasnt hot but I was starving. Ate my food and told my husband hurry up so we could get out of this dump!!!!Deuces
Mixed experience. They must work on the waiting time here. I was here with 3 more tables, so total of like9 people in the whole pace, and still spent 25 minutes waiting for the food to get to my table. Little disappointing. The food was good, and the chicken steak was so good that I started to think if the wait is so they could make it the right way.
I have been there three times. Different servers each time. However, they all seem to be too laid back for me. Refills have to be requested. No table side manners or light, friendly conversation.Food is fine. It comes from the same warehouse as other locations.None of the workers seem to enjoy their work.
The service was good, the coffee great. The wait for our order way too long, 20 minutes only four of us in the place. The food was just Ok nothing to brag about. Glass of orange juice $5.00, you can get a gallon at the store. IHOP is just a quick food joint but the prices are highTOP NOTCH restaurant prices. Your better off going to any dinner.
How this place is still operating its a mystery to me.I was Downtown with my son when we decided to enter the IHOP at Livingston St, I usually avoid any restaurant that have more than 90% of empty tables but my son insisted. We enter and it was a waiting area with 5 people sitting already. We got a space in the corner and we waited. The guy at the cash register had unstructured view to the waiting area, he was busy pulling his pants up and playing with the cash register and pulling again his pants up and tucking his shirt so many times I thought it was a nervous tick. They had only 2 tables with 6 costumers already eating their food.We waited about 10 minutes pulling pants guy never looked at the waiting area even once! After 20 minutes I had enough. We got up and walked out followed by 3 other people. Can IHOP afford to loose 5 patrons at once? Where is the manager?Very hard to review a place without even tasting their food but I bet it will be disappointed also.
The place was almost empty (probably because of lunch hour) and our waitress skipped us 3 times to go to the other rows. Its like we were invisible. The last time she skipped us, we wanted water and the check, but IHOP could’ve played themselves and we could’ve left with our own money. If 100 customers did this, this place would go out of business. But , that’s what i think. ☹️
Unfortunately what was once an iconic pancake house has surrendered to downsizing, freeze drying, and flavour neutralizing. Even the sweet sauces taste sugarless. Coffee is questionable.Staff are inconsistent; some wonderfully welcoming, and some nonchalant. At least the fried eggs were done properly, the omelet came from some tasteless mix.Disappointment after great hopes.
Horrible. Everyone is slow and unwelcoming. Gave me a very bad vibe. Seated us in the far corner while the whole restaurant is practically empty. The place also felt dirty. Served and took the order of the people who were seated after us. Waited more than ten minutes for our order to be taken and it never was. Mind you it was PRACTICALLY EMPTY. We left. I’d give it 0 stars if I could.
I love IHOP but it was a bit pricey. The breakfast entrees - crepes and breakfast wrap, didnt come with sides. Sides are approx 5.00 each, as were our beverages. Total bill 50.00 for 2 people. It was a bit unexpected. Food was great, the iced coffee was weak. I will go again, now that I know what to expect price-wise. Service was excellent.
It was actually pretty good service could have been better though ,and do not believe the never empty coffee pots they take awhile before they refill. I prefer the female staff more than the male servers they seem to have a better work ethic and drive to give you better service than male staff. Everybody here is clean cut and friendly though the staff member at the front desk was a bit snooty and had an attitude toward people waiting for others
From the front door I disliked this place. The hostess gave me attitude, because I didnt want to sit in front the bathroom saying, whats wrong the seats? You cant smell anything. Lady, have you heard of the customer is always right? Then lies and says there were no more available seats. The place was only half full!! Another waitress had to point out an available table to her. The waitress was just as bad. Came to the table like she was bored. Turned me all the way off. AND to add insult to injury, the food was lackluster. Yes, I know its IHOP and not a gourmet restaurant, but can you cook the burger so it doesnt taste like raw meat? And why the bacon taste chewy, like plastic? Really? Its breakfast why is it so expensive? I could have gone to Juniors or a nicer diner and got better food. Never again. At least not this spot... No, never.
Im from out of town and have to say I was floored by the exceptional service. Nadia served us and was both exceptional and kind. She checked in on us, made sure we had everything and if something went wrong she acknowledged it and fixed it graciously. What also impressed me was that the other servers helped her carry plates to our table without any negativity showing. I overheard the staff encourage each other. What a blessing. Definitely recommending.
The restaurant is nice and cozy, with alot of booths. The waiters have a awesome personality. The only thing I had ordered the cheesecake pancake and I wasnt happy with the taste and overly big size pancakes. Their burger and quesadillas was everything, sooo good. I would come again.
Service is good the breakfast is great. What I really like about this place is that I can order breakfast at dinner time and I often do. They have the all you can eat pancakes witch is my favorite meal. The fish and chips are another favorite of mine to and they cook them well.
We went to Ihop for dinner. Which I told my son it was not a good idea. My son ordered chicken and waffles. When the plate arrived the chicken looked as if it was over fried...dark and hard. The waffle was crunchy. The waitress told us the cooked advised it was the grease and if he cooks it again it will look the same. My son still wanted to eat it, he didnt enjoy it. About 40 minutes later two women sat near us and order the same entree. When the food arrived, the chicken looked light and crispy. As she sliced the waffles it was light as mashed potatoes. The waitress had an attitude. I spoke to the manager who gave me a card/voucher to back again for a free meal. The best ihops are upstate NY or out of state.....they take there time in service
I was out with a large group of friends and an altercation broke out as one of the guest tried to attack one of the employees there. It ruined the night, and the mood for all of my friends who some were visiting from a different country. In addition as those rowdy guest were being escorted out one of them through a glass bottle in the direction of other guest who were mutual friends of my closest friends. It was a scary night and bad experience due to those customers. If I could have foresaw these series of unpredictable events I would have chosen to eat at another place for a friday night on the town with friends. So upset by this experience, but the staff was professional it sucks they had to be inconvenienced by these rowdy guest as well.
IHop is my all time favorite chain. I can eat breakfast food for days. However. Theres something about the service, the attitude of those serving, and ambiance that makes the experience to this location so disappointing. The place was literally empty. Yet, it took 25 minutes to sit 2 people. Please do better.
Meh, the wait time at this place is unbearable. Also, I feel like the system is rigged. People coming after Lapin and I got seated first but we got seated before another couple was there before us. Lapin ordered a Grand Slam and I got eggs with one of their specialty pancakes. Our food took a good 45mins - 1hour to come and the waitress messed up our order...our food came before we got utensils. She never came to check in on us and we had to flag another server to give us coffee...which was cold.
I liked the waitress, she was very pleasant and patient. The egg white omelette was yum, but the fruit I received with it wasnt fresh; i felt like someone had sucked on my pineapples and the grapes looked aged, the honeydew was tasteless. My partner requested a side of peaches for his pancakes, which he had to ask for minutes after our food arrived, by the time he got it, the pancakes were cold. Almost 5 stars!!!
Food was really good, service was terrible, especially Sherley the hostess she was very rude and mean. I requested a high chair for my baby and after they gave me one she said it was a fire hazard and stood over us as if we were small children.i feel she could have been more discreet and or professional it.
Really dont like this location.Waitress was not welcoming, the food was lukewarm. The pancakes were lukewarm/cold.Not impressed with location at all!!Kashanna acted as if we were asking for too much. Her attitude was atrocious. She didnt deserve a tip at all but that was a lesson for both of us.Treat customers better or next time wont be so niceDowntown BK needs to step it up👎🏾
Service was super bad. Got charged 3 times on my card and my friend got charged twice. We were just in town for the weekend and decided to have breakfast. Horrible, avoid this IHOP. The staff sucks. People at the registers were just standing around the whole time. Food was whatever, not worth the long wait and being charged multiple times for that some what could food. Also called to make the complain about being charged multiple times, the manager told me that credit cards are basically new to their system.....didnt help me at all. So in the end Im being charged 75 dollars for eggs and has brown with 2 pancakes.... HORRIBLE PLACE
Ive been to many ihops this is buy far my worst one. Staff is not friendly but thats ok just get me my food food sucks. They left half my meal out do by the time the rest came my other food was cold and my girlfriend still didnt get her meal. Its also not that clean. Im not a picky person but that was just gross. I went Im their feeling good came out grumpy
I’m going to start saying that the girl that attended us was super moody. If you don’t want to work just stay in your house, honestly, the worst customer service ever. Next, she gave us an extra order (because she’s not paying attention to anything) and she was complaining about it LOL. She gave us everything in a way like we bother her or something... The food is very nice but the customer service make this place a bad place. Her name is kashanna.
Great service n the food was awesome me n my boy went cuz we were tired of the local fast food...waffles. N pancakes came to mind so made beeline to IHOP ..sooo glad we did everyone of staff professional n gorgeous mass kudos to our waitress KADY service with a smile we gladly tipped her ...we will def be back..
Very understaffed. Waited almost 5 mins just for a menu. And another 5 to get someone to take our order. Once that ordeal was done, food wasnt served for another 25. The service was so extremely inefficient that they had multiple empty tables that werent cleaned and a long waiting line which could easily be seated if they only cleaned the tables that were already free
This established food venue was always a reliable staple.--That was until today. I usually enjoy a garden-mushroom omelette topped with delicious Hollandaise Sauce and a side of steak tips. Unfortunately, the sauce stop the spongy egg mixture was not made fresh, but from a powdered, grainy pre-fabricated mix. The texture of which I found most unappealing. The taste was like a chemically-induced dairy imitation. Lucky for my wallet and my taste buds, I skipped the steak. The waiter was lovely. (He admitted that his employers were more overpriced in this location than any other of their ubiquitous myriad of locations throughout New York.) The endless $4 watered down coffee should have been free or not offered at all.My hash browns were a frozen mess that was a heated square of potatoes lacking flavor and authenticity. Again, frozen and preheated. One can usually count on a certain level of quality within the IHop restaurant chains. I hope that this is not the new normal.
Im so sad to do this but I was extremely disappointed by the chicken and waffles I had ordered. First of all, they never cut up my waffles in the past and Ive been to IHOP for 6+ years all over the state. The waiter brought out my waffle with ONE piece missing like what...??? He said I owe you one more piece that theyre finishing up. I was so confused! Dont yall make the Belgium waffle in one waffle iron??? So confused. On top of that it was soggy (no topping or syrup) so why is it soggy for??? My chicken was burnt too!! 😞 This was a MAJOR fail. The last time I came here at this exact location was 2yrs ago and I still remember the chicken and waffles was amazing (which is why I had returned). I definitely wont be spending my hard earned money here anymore. This visit was a turn off. Even my iced coffee was a cheat since they doused it with syrup and milk and barely any coffee. Im better off at a local diner. So sad. IHOP keeps disappointing me (this location and location on Church & Flatbush).
Okay so i come here off and on and past few times i find theyre understaffed. You can be seated quick but then have to wait 10-15 mins to order and then at least 30-40 mins for your food on top of another 25 mins to pay your bill after telling them youre ready to pay. This has happened 3x and they were far from crowded all 3 days. Empty tables all around so why the big hold up ? Employees having fun conversing with each other rather than tending to the customers smh .
Im going to start by saying I have not had a great, good, or mediocre experience at any NYC IHOP never!. However, against my better judgement and because this is my friend was visiting and loves this place I went....... The service was horrible! and the food is worst!!!!!!! I ordered one thing and recieved something different. Of course I did not send it back(didnt need any special ingredients). The server gave us our order and disappeared, never asking us if we neededkany condiments. When we asked for the server we was told that she was in the restroom. Never again in NYC
The wait was the most memorable part of the IHOP experience. If it wasnt waiting for a table, it was for the food. Or the check. We had a large party, but the place was empty and slow.Walking through the restaurant, I noticed that the floor was sticky. The syrup dispensers also had a string of hardened sugar trailing behind it too.I felt bad, because we had a large party. The waitress had a smile on her face. She was a great part of the experience, although it was apparent that she wasnt pleased with us. However, the wait was really what made the experience unpleasant. The food was nothing to write home about. The price was very expensive and the taste was meh. Afterwards, almost all of my friends had to eat something else because we were all hungry again an hour later.Overall, the experience was average. I probably will not be returning to this IHOP anytime soon.
This franchise doesnt run well at all. The food isnt terrible, but Im confident my bacon was cooked in a microwave. Our coffee took quite a while to come out - and the carafe was half full, on top of that there were no table touches by the server except to bring our bill. I got it, were in Brooklyn, but have pride in your business and hire/coach people to champion the brand.
Came here on a Saturday night at around 530 pm. This ihop is pretty large in size with a lot of tables but they are severely understaffed. There were a lot of tables open but we had to wait 20 mins to get seated. Our waiter was very sweet but it was obvious he was over worked. Our food took a long time to come. The food is as expected for an ihop. No complaints regarding the food.Sidenote, they ran out of cutlery when it was our turn to be seated. All of the cutlery looked very dirty with heavy water stains and my fork still had a bit of food stuck in it.This location is just pretty poorly run.
Ordered the tres leche pancakes which were $2.49 extra. Called IHOP after placing my online order to make sure my eggs were prepared properly....so far so good. Went to pick up my order & was told they didnt have the ingredients for the tres leche pancakes nor the vanilla sauce. Side note: I went weeks ago & they couldnt make the special pancakes either. I agreed to get the regular pancakes instead. Why did the waiter try to charge me the original price which included the extra $2.49?! I was frustrated at this point since I had to wait for the manager in order to have the price adjusted. Since I was running late for work at this point (my break is only 15 mins) I didnt check to make sure I had condiments which I did not. Mind you, I left late to make sure my food would be waiting. Of course it took another 10 mins. I was soooo disappointed with my breakfast. Next time Ill order from Juniors.
It was 4:30 when we arrived, about 6 ppl eating it took 5 mins to be seated. Our tables where 2 different sizes. It took 20 mins for someone to take outmr order and additional 30 mins for the food to come. The food arrived and it wasnt hot. I asked for warm syrup, the warmer was broken so she warmed it in a cup and brought it to me. As we where eating one if the staff members began mopping the floor. The smell of fabuloso and dirty mop water took over the air and we where instantly nauseas. It then took 15 mins to receive the check. I WILL NEVER PATRONIZE this business every again. Whoever the gentleman was at the register over heard me complaining and nerves said a word other than they should get a good rating because Its black owned. Surely wasnt hard to tell. A waste of money. Id rather go a few blocks to a real diner. I gave 2 stars only because the restaurant was very quiet otherwise it wouldve been one star.

2022-03-09The workers are very nice and the food is amazing. Not too expensive as well. We got a whole breakfast meal for a under $20 each person and it was totally worth it. Our waiter was also very nice and funny and the restaurant is kept clean.

2022-07-05This place used to be better. The food was better, the service was better. I went to this location probably for the first time in about 4 years. This time, the food was not as good, the server didnt ask me how to prep my eggs, a lot of items on the menu were not available. The pancake it self I remembered was much better before, fluffy and tasty. This time the pancake felt a bit dry, the whipped cream (looked like supermarket brand..) was slipped off my pancake and all melting on the side.. very sad and unappetizing.. The hash brown was kind of overcooked and dry. Oh and the table and condiments offered were sticky.. They used to have a few different flavored syrup.. not this time. Just one plain syrup. We went Friday evening and there were only one server around and it was very hard to get their attention.

2022-06-12Read reviews before dinning in at this location. The food was mediocre, mainly the fries. They taste refrigerated- mostly they were old or left opened. The waitress was horrible. My tip , is get a better attitude- IHOP is a brand, enjoy where you work or find another place of employment where you can use your attitude skills. The manager appears to be in training, so she get an A for effort.Take your money where you are satisfied and can have better service. No sense in spending over $100 for poor service.

2022-06-26WARNING OVER PRICED and SMALL PORTIONS for iHop. They are out of their minds. Avoid at all costs. We should have walked down the street to the local dinner a few blocks down. With tip for the waitress we were at $55 for me and my daughter. STOP THE INSANITY!!

2022-02-06The young people working here are so professional and kind. I came in with a suitcase and the hostess Angelic was so considerate and helped me with the door. My waiter Raheem quickly took my order. He was attentive and polite. My French Toast was delicious as expected. This location does not dissapoint!

2022-06-20IHOP is not like as it used to be. This I have particularly was way too expensive. I understand about the inflation but again it was way more expensive than any other places. Also each table does not offer variety of syrups as they used to. I feel anyone can walk into a cafe that serves pancakes and breakfast, can get a better deal with more quantity.

2021-06-27Came in on a Sunday early afternoon and was seated within 2 minutes. About 10 tables with people and the coffee came quick along with the food. This place was perfect

2022-03-10The food was tasty but the customer service could be better. It took almost 45 minutes to be served and I had to make the manager aware that I was waiting or I would of been ignored. I dont plan to visit again.

2022-05-06The whole experience was horrible. From the host to the server. My party of 3 came in today around 10am, werent greeted probably, the host was not friendly at all, sat us in a corner of the restaurant regardless of it not being busy. The server Jeanette took about 10mins to approach the table, we werent greeted just asked if we were ready to order, her energy was very dry and not welcoming. Not one smile! The manager was walking around talking on his cell phone. The only person who was pleasant was the bus boy. Will NEVER dine at this location EVER again.
