IHOP in other cities:
Second time reviewing, haven’t ordered in a few months in hope that the service would be better, I was painfully wrong. Ordered a curbside order of just 2 cupcake pancakes to be ready at 8:43, I arrived around 8:50 just to compensate considering they’re always late. Despite seeing two workers standing infront of the phone, neither one could pick up the phone so I could notify with my arrival. So I go in and I’m told the food won’t be ready for another 10 minutes when I’ve already arrived late. Once they bring me out my order, they completely didn’t put on the pancake icing and the woman did not give me my extra icing like I asked. So I once again had to go into the store for my curbside order that I waited 20 minutes for, to tell them they messed up my pancakes
The food was good. My only complaint is that we sat down ordered our food and waited. We waited for our food so long that after we ordered a couple sat down at the table next to us and ordered there food. Then there food came out and they were complaining it didnt seem right. Well they got our order of food (I guess our orders were similar). Well then they got there actual food on top of our food they were previously given. Our food finally came up and we were able to eat. The food was good but the service, not so much. Also to top it all off they were compensated for there meals and given many apologies. What did we get.. oh well heres your food now.. we didnt even really get as much as an apology or anything..
Hope it was just a bad day. But worst service, ever!! Food was good. Really long wait. For every single thing. From being seated to drinks and waiting to put in our order. Then she brought us the wrong check because she gave ours to someone else. She says well this one is less anyway. And I will have to go through a lot to switch everything out. They already paid and left. I am not usually a complainer. But seriously , it wasnt even busy.. 🙄
We were served coffee before our silverware arrived. When it did come the server handed us the napkins and silverware to dole out ourselves. We asked for spoons and were told they didnt have any.We waited over 90 minutes for a table to accommodate seven. Upon entering we noticed several empty booths and a long table. We were separated into two booths. What were supposed to be over easy eggs were almost too dry to eat.
I am at lost for words to describe how pathetic this meal was. Our waitress was polite and was trying, we were seated quickly, coffee was hot and tasty. that was best it got. The food was terrible, took 1 1/2 hours from sitting down to leaving. This is the third time Clay Rt 31 IHOP, I will NEVER eat there again.
I decided to give this place another chance after a terrible first experience. This time was completely different. It almost seemed as though they changed management. Jared who sat us down and checked in on us was excellent and our waiter Anthony was also more than exceptional. I would 100% come back. It was a little bit slow but it was a Sunday morning.
When we walked in, there were 5 cars in the parking lot but were told we needed to wait. Im assuming theyre short staffed generally because its always this way when theres no wait, youll still wait. While waiting we were asked to sign up for rewards and were told all the ways how we can do that, walked through the process. When we were sat, we sat and sat some more while our waiter was explaining the same process to sign up for rewards to the table next to us. When he came over to us, he proceeded to tell us about the rewards.. we told him that the guy at the front already told us about it. The guy at the front told every single person to wait 5 minutes while he told them about this reward program. When paying, the server put down our credit card to help someone with this reward program. Incentives and Rewards are great but customer service is very much lacking at this ihop and should be prioritized over whatever they get for having everyone sign up for the reward program. If youre going to do the reward program, I would just have the servers do it as the customer will begin to feel bombarded when trying to get some food. The food and service are very much lacking here. I waited until I have been here 3 times. Same thing everytime except this time they added the rewards program issue.
I wish that I would have taken pictures of the food but I was too irritated. I ordered chocolate chip pancakes and I got them with 5 chocolate chips in the MIDDLE of each of the two pancakes. It would have been nice to get them throughout the pancakes but I guess that was too much to ask. I am glad that I got those pancakes because that was all that I could eat. I also got eggs over easy but the white wasnt even cooked, it was translucent. My wife ordered pancakes and they were cold and undercooked. At least mine were warm.We had to wait 30 minutes because they were busy but to get cold and inedible food after that wait is inexcusable. We talked to a manager about the experience and he comped the meal, but the cherry on the top of our bad experience was when the manager asked me how I asked to have my eggs cooked. I told him over easy which I told the server as well. I guess that I should have told the server that I wanted the eggs edible so that I didnt get salmonella eating the eggs. The server didnt even come back to our table within the 30 minutes to tell us how much longer our food would take. Other people that came in after us got their food before us. We had to ask where our food was, and it took another 5 minutes to get it, so I am convinced that they lost the order and threw it together after we asked where our food was, since the eggs were undercooked and the food seemed rushed. All that I ate was my chocolate chip pancakes with 5 chocolate chips in the middle and we left the rest of the food on the table. We usually love IHOP and we have been to other IHOPs with much better food. It is a shame that this is the only IHOP in our area, not 45 minutes away, and we wont be going back there.I would avoid this IHOP. It is not worth getting sick over.
Had to wait 30 minutes for a table. I could see many empty tables but we were not able to get one. They said this was because they were preparing take out orders. I never had to wait like that before. I guess take out is more important than the customer. After getting a table we had to wait another 20 minutes for some one to take our order and another 30 for it to come out. We will not be going there again.
I went to ihop for a late breakfast and don’t get me wrong it was busy. my server (tracy) got our drinks then took 15 minutes to come back for our order. after ordering we waited an hour for our food just for it to be brought out by another server who already had a lot going on. when i asked for crispy bacon and it came out cold as well as not crispy whatsoever. the food was cold and my pancakes were stuck to my plate from sitting in the kitchen so long. if i could rate this restaurant zero stars i would.
Just go somewhere else! Slow, will make you wait forever for food! How are you seated for 2 hours before your food arrives and they serve half the table first ! Never heard of this tactic before but i think its rude for others to have to sit wait and watch others eat that they arrived to have the meal with!
If I could give 0 stars I would. From the food taking over an hour to get there, to the horrible and rude waiter we had. Giving attitude, yanking cups and plates off the table and getting irrate when asking questions. OH and also speaking disrespectfully towards us when we left. Was my first time there with the family and will be my last time there. Was a horrible experience. If you get James as a waiter, run for the hills.
Not what it used to be. The waiters are clueless, the food was not what we ordered, and it’s way overpriced. They gave me a completely wrong entree. We asked for boxes before we left, waited over 10 minutes and still no box. We just left without our leftovers which we paid $40 for. We did ask two of the waiters for a box. The girl just walked away saying she’ll be right with us. The guy who was cleaning the tables said he couldn’t help us. Half of the tables in the room were not clean, the menus were dirty, the food was not cooked right. Got stomach sick afterwards. Will definitely not be returning here.
Very disorganized! Quoted a wait despite half the restaurant empty upon arrival which was later filled while there. Was brought salsa for dup with my mozzarella sticks. Given plastic kid cups because waitress felt dishes werent clean enough to use! Once food was served had to ask for silverware. Ordered take out from them several times with no issues but do not intend to dine in again!!
Went there on our way home from working late and it wasnt busy. We figured we could be in and out in a short time. My wife ordered French toast and I ordered pancakes and eggs. Our waitress talked to us like we were 5 and our drinks came fairly quick. After 20 mins our waitress came and apologized saying the manager will give us a discount because it was taking so long after another 15 minutes still no food. The manager apologized and said the waitress made a mistake. He didnt say what it was but I suspect she didnt turn it our order. The place is run by over paid, under educated and poorly trained people. Dont go unless you a week to spend there and like doing treated like a kid. Good luck
My husband and I waited more than one hour for our drinks and another long waiting for the food. Meanwhile, you see servers walking back and forth. We don’t know what’s they up too. Nobody just stopped by our table to say something. Will never go there again! I wish I could give 0 stars. First impression last!
We have tried to dine-in twice since this place opened and both times there was a long wait so we left. Finally the other day, we ordered take out for curb side pickup. It was a Saturday or Sunday at about 9am ish. My husband picked it up. He waited so long, he ended up calling the number on the pickup signs. No one answered so he had to go in.When we got our meals they were missing items. Like country fried steak but no gravy and toast but no butter. The country fried steak was some kind of mystery patty that tasted like it had been cooked in very dirty oil; that was literally all I could taste. I didnt end up eating it. My scrambled eggs were also overcooked. The 3 cheese bacon omelet was kind of small and did not have much filling. The slightly soggy pancakes were just ok.We were expecting something close to Dennys but it didnt even come close to that. Finally, imo, $35.00 for 2 standard breakfasts, was a bit expensive, especially for poor service, missing items and what we did received. I would not recommend.
Waiting an hour for breakfast, when it wasnt busy at all. Table of 5, brought out 4 orders, then the 5th order 20 mins later. The 5th order was so hot, it burned taking a bite. Fresh out the microwave after sitting for however long. Staff is unorganized, and it shows. Who reheats an omelet?
This is by far the worst restaurant I’ve ever gone to or did a take out at. Good quality is garbage and the waitstaff NEVER picks the phone up for take out. When I do it online the order is never right. I gave clay ihop so many chances to work it’s issues out and still no. I’m sorry I can no longer support you and that stinks because we have no other pancake places near us!
Arrived for breakfast at 830 am on Thursday and there was already a 30 - 45 minute waiting list for dining in due to understaffing, so I decided to get my order to go. The wait was just as long and the food came out absolutely disgusting. I ordered the new bowls theyve been advertising but I received 1 Classic bowl and a burrito...not what I ordered. Im not sure why I received only 1 side of fruit with 2 orders. Im really disappointed because I was anticipating IHOPS return to the area. Now Im not sure if Im going to patronize this establishment ever again. Also I ordered 2 pieces of their new Steakhouse sliced bacon and the picture will show you what I got...also the 1st picture is the bowl my wife received...the product was cold and greasy and the bowl was melted
Got three meals, delivered by grubhub. Grubhub was great. Ihop terrible. Ordered three meals. Meals packaged in open containers covered in plastic wrap, so NOT hot. Not even warm. Paid for one order of specialty pancakes, got regular pancakes with both pancake orders. No condiments, not even syrup. Food quality was edible, not great. Nearly $70 for mediocre food and terrible service.
I was disappointed since I havent had ihop in 10 years and was excited to have it again. Its not what I remember. The hash browns were crisp on top but soggy elsewhere, same with the eggs they are wet and slimy on the inside with NO flavor (more than likely fake eggs) and the bacon was fairly burnt, but I was supposed to get 3 sausage AND 3 bacon not 6 bacon.. the coffee was okay and the waitress was great the food not so much. Also there wasnt different flavored syrups like they used to have.
Me and my family had the worst experience at this ihop. We waited for about 20 mins at our table before anyone said or took our drink order, it was like the servers didnt know who had us. We ordered our food with our drinks and they forgot part of our order when they did bring out the forgotten food We were ready to leave. The whole breakfast process took about an 1 hr and a half with two little kids is was like an eternity they didnt have any crayons or anything to keep the little ones occupied. I would rather of gone to a Dennys or Fridays. First and last time going to this ihop!
Worst service ever. Didn’t expect such service from IHOP. They charged me for avocado, but I didn’t find it. I ordered it by uber eats the wait time was changing.Uber changed the deriver for IHOP’s delay. The food was badly cooked & salted. The french toast was ugly in taste.
Absolutely never again. After waiting 50 long minutes for my togo order which by the way was disgusting I wont ever be back. I ordered the turkey club because thats what I order at the IHOP in Watertown when I am up that way and its not even close. I uploaded a picture for everyone to see how nasty it really was. It was haphazardly thrown together with 2 small slimy chunks of chicken and 2 pieces of bacon. This took 50 min for one lousy sandwich. Management needs to get it together or this will end up like the carousel mall location in no time.
Update!! We went a second time and everything was delicious, service was excellent and it was very reasonable too! 2 teens and 2 adults were $48! Still went for dinner! One of these times we need to go for breakfast!! :D And yes.. my son still had an oreo shake with a breakfast meal and I had the Buffalo sandwich. My other son had the cheeseburger..and my husband had the crispy chicken, no left overs, so it must have been really good! We could have eaten for $24 if we all had their happy hour menu items.. My husbands crispy chicken sandwich was really good so dont be afraid to try the items! My son had an Oreo Milkshake... Yummm. I know this is strange to go to a pancake house and order a buffalo chicken sandwich, but it was good!!! Really good!
Im not sure what going on in the kitchen but this isnt the IHOP i remember. The one one erie was wayyyy better. Its gotten very expensive for subpar food. Breakfast for two was almost $50. Id much rather try a local diner with better food, bigger portions and cheaper prices.
Food was good but the portions are small. Had to wait 15 minutes to be seated in a half empty restaurant because grub hub, door, dash and curb side orders take priority over the actual customers in the restaurant, was told this by employees there. All the staff were super friendly and very nice. Dont think I will be back, I will stick to my locally owned mom and pop restaurant.
I came in for a late breakfast. I was at least 5 min waiting to be seated. Then all of that to get a sever for a cup of coffee and to get a menu to decide what I wanted.thus went on and on, cream, silverware, syrup. Ok why are the tables not set up with the basics. I tried several times to get the attention of the server through the meal and was unsuccessful. The food was not hot, barley warm. I left to pay for the food and had to sand around and wait and wait and wait for the person to cash me out. So you ask was it busy. No there were 4 partys of 3 to four paople. The breakfast rush would have been done.
Would give negative stars if I could.. upon walking in door, there is no hostess.. waited 5 minutes or more to be acknowledged. After we were seated and ordered, we then waited over an hour for our breakfast in a restaurant with only a few other tables with patrons at them. My husbands food came out first, appeared as if it had been sitting and ready for 1/2 hour or more. He was finished with his breakfast before I even received mine. When mine did finally come out, it was unedible. Took two bites and said I just cant do it. Ordered chicken a waffles. The chicken tenders were hard as a rock. We will be sticking to family owned restaurants from now on, Where the service and food is of better quality
My wife and I arrived to IHOP in Clay, NY around 1:45pm to a nearly empty restaurant. It took approximately 10 minutes for the waitress/hostess to seat us. The waitress returned about 5-10 minutes later to take out orders. we were excited for the food but we never received anything. All three waitresses disappeared. About 30 minutes later we see a male staff with an apron begin goofing off with one of the waitresses. Another 15 minutes later and we still never received our food. We had no other choice but to leave. This was a very bad experience and I will not be returning.
We ordered the night before for a 9AM pickup thr next morning. We arrived at 9AM and no food was ready, they didnt even have the order. The manager said he would have it ready in 7 minutes....over an hour later and no food and all staff disappeared and stayed in the kitchen! We had to knock on the kitchen window to finally ask for a refund! 2 days later... and still no refund. Worst place to order food from.
A very disappointing experience. Family of 5 went for breakfast. We left and our 5 year old asked us to please never bring him back to another ihop. We waited over 30 minutes for our food to arrive and it only did after we asked how much longer. They brought us the wrong food, missing parts of our order, and my husbands food did not come out for another 5 minutes. They did bring it out and a few minutes later they brought him another plate of it and then a third time someone came out and asked if he got it because there was another plate in the back for him. Toast that is almost $3 for two slices was harder than a crouton. We do not recommend. Especially my 5 year old. Save your money or support a local diner.
Pancakes are the only good thing. I ordered pickup and they didnt give me butter or syrup for the pancakes, and forgot my whole drink along with the tomatoes in my omelette. The wait time is ridiculous to actually sit in and get seated. They then got my order wrong inside again. They also literally just layered two kraft singles on top of my omelette for the cheese, and was barely melted. They seem to not know how to make an omelette at all as they just folded eggs together and then placed the ingredients (bacon, cheese, tomatoes, etc) on top. Gross. It is also sweltering hot in there— I walked outside into 12 degrees and it felt refreshing. Will be going to Dennys in the future.
We decided to go today(friday) at the odd time of 2:00,figuring it wouldnt be busy. I was right. Only 2 other tables had customers. We were seated after a 10 minute wait. Not too bad. We were seated, and then we waited, and waited and waited some more. A waitress finally showed up at 2:45(we got there at 2:00). She was very nice. We ordered our meal when she took our drink order because we were afraid she wouldnt be back for another 45 minutes! While we waited,I was focused on killing all the flies. I asked if they had a fly swatter and she said yes but I couldnt use it. Really???? So there we sat slamming the table killing them. So NOT acceptable! There was food all over the floor, and tables had not been cleaned off after customers left. It looked like they had been sitting there for a long period of time(dishes, food scraps, etc) no wonder the place is full of flies.I expected the restaurant to be like it used to be. Great food, great atmosphere, but I was totally disappointed. As far as the food, my pancakes were way overcooked, hash browns were burnt in a rectangular shape, and unbreakable.Atmosphere? There was none. Unless you like listening to Led Zeppelin full blast! Will I return? No way.Oh yeah,we finally left the restaurant at 4:15
IHOP is an insult to food and an assault to your health. IDK where to start! Walk in and was properly greeted and sent to a booth. I order scramble eggs with bacon and sausage and hash brown. Waitress is polite but doesnt pay attention to what Im asking so I need to repeat. Anyway, food arrives, eggs are scramble wet and very greasy. Bacon is greasy too but cold. Hash Brown are literally dripping of grease to the point that its probably dangerous to eat them so I pass on the Hash Brown. All in all, iHOP is a terrible place to eat breakfast. They only purchase cheap ingredients and the cooks are evidently not real cooks. There is zero care for the food quality. Its a burn and turn breakfast place nothing more nothing less. I would imagine that if someone was to eat there every morning for 60 days, they would jeopardize their health in the most dangerous way possible! Avoid that place!
If I could have given them a Negative rating I would have. Should have listened to the guest walking out as we were walking telling us not to bother if we wanted to eat.We walked in, stood at the hostess station for 5 or 6 minutes before an employee came as I watched customers walking out complaining about the service. The waitress/hostess was rude and acted as if we were bothering her asking to be seated. We had a wheelchair and a toddler who needed a highchair with 5 adults it was a bother to put tables together for the hostess when I told her I did not want to sit by the window with a baby, rather sit at the chairs tables rather than a booth because of the wheelchair. She said, to the waiter you deal with this, sat them wherever and walked away. The waiter was a bit more pleasant and put 2 tables together and seated us, took our drink orders. As we waited for our drinks we watched a few cooks and a waitress standing outside through the window vaping and smoking and than locking themselves outside, the rude hostess had to open and prop the door for them. There was only our table and 2 other tables left so being busy wasnt an excuse. Our drinks came 2 of the glasses had brown things floating in the glasses asked for replacements, drink now came out wrong and the glass had food or something smeared on the side of it. At that point we got up and also walked out without eating. There was food on tables and the floor that needed to be cleaned up while staff was still outside vaping. What disgusting shame, this is a new restaurant opened less than a year, the service and cleanliness was terrible. I dont see this place lasting too much longer if it continues this way. 3 parties including us walked out without eating in just the 1/2 hour we were there.
The only reason I’m giving this place two stars is because of our waitress Karen. She was a sweetheart, we had our 3 year old granddaughter with us and she was so nice and attentive to her.Other than that it was a terrible experience. Now I know restaurants are short staffed and we expected a little wait. But 30 minutes is a bit ridiculous. When the food finally arrived my wife saw plain as day an eggshell right on top of her eggs. You would have to be blind not to see it. Karen took it right back to replace it. After 10 minutes we decided the wait wasn’t worth it. Our granddaughter was doing really good considering the original wait time, but at this point she was ready to go.We got the bill and the eggs weren’t taken off. We will not be going back to this location ever again. A chain that used to be enjoyable is now a mess. Too bad.
We got right in. There were only two other tables which were both parties of 2. It took them 45 minutes to bring out my breakfast. The hash browns were over cooked and my waitress looked so miserable. It just want not a good experience especially for my first time there. I will not be returning to that location.
I would have given this place zero stars but that was not an option. The place was half empty and yet it took 15 minutes and a ton of tracking waitresses before anyone even bothered to come up to seat the 10 people waiting. I think that had I not chased down every waitress, those people would still be waiting to be seated. I chose to leave and go across the street to Dunkin. Save yourself some time and do the same.
I love IHOP but this place left me disappointed. In an almost empty IHOP (at 5pm on a sunday) with more staff than customers, our waitress still was in a hurry and didnt seem to care much. Not even halfway through eating the check is placed on the table and the waitress disappeared, not to be seen again for the next 25 minutes.Avoid this IHOP if you can.
I’m usually a pretty patient person, but I’m Not excited about having to wait 30+ minutes past my order ready time. Took 15 minutes before someone even came up to the front to ask if I was waiting for an order or to be seated. Order was supposed to be ready at 11:38am didn’t receive it until noon. Several servers walked past and saw me sitting there and did not help. I would suggest hiring a dedicated host to ensure customers are greeting and assisted.
I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak and it was nothing to write home about. My sister ordered the BBQ Mac Melt and it was dry and the mac and cheese on it seemed to be related to the Kraft family. The service wasnt awful and the fries were decent in their small portion way. We each got one napkin and when we asked for more, we got one more.
First time at this location was decent, nothing special at all. Second time was ridiculous. Pulled into an empty parking lot with 2 utility vehicles in front of us. They go in before us and instantly get taken to a table. We walk in, nothing for 20 minutes. The waitress clearly saw us and just ignored us. Didn’t say “give me a second” or “there may be a wait” just straight up looked us in the eyes and ignored us. After another 10 minutes we just left. Seems like they don’t even want service.
Out of the three of us,two of the orders were good but one was not at all good. It was not busy at all with empty tables but the service was unbelievably slow and our waitress kept forgetting things and we would have to wait 20-35mins for each thing she forgot. We had already been at our table for 2-21/2 hrs so my friend didnt ask for her order to be replaced with a new one. I was really disappointed. Usually IHOPs are great so I was surprised at how our experience was. Maybe it was just an off day or a very new waitress, but it wasnt good.
Service somewhat slow, waitress appeared overwhelmed, but pleasant. There were two other parties in the restaurant and it took 40 minutes to get breakfast, to no fault of the waitress. Two omelets with cheese, broccoli and spinach, two cups of coffee with tip $42.00! Going forward, will support local diners, better food, service and half the cost!
Im dissapointed to say that there was nothing positive to say about our visit to I Hop. Weve been anxious to go there, ever since they opened their new location. Months ago we tried, but the wait time was over an hour so, we decided not to wait. This past Saturday at about 1:30 pm we entered I Hop. It was not busy as only about six tables had people. There was no one at the hostess station (where we were instructed, by a sign to wait) we waited over 10 minutes, unable to get anyone to pay attention to us. Eventually, an employee rushed from outside, to us. She hurriedly seated us and took an order for coffee which she delivered guickly, tossing creamers on to the table. She passed our table several times, always with her eyes averted. When we finally got her attention, she stopped and took our order. It was two short stacks with bacon. The pancakes were very small, almost silver dollar size and so thin that it was almost impossible to get them on your fork, unless you got three at once! The bacon was barely warm and stuck together in a mass. Our waitress never came by to see if we needed more coffee, much less a anything else. The table of two, seated across from us, waiting for their food when we were seated, did not receive their order until well after we did and when it came it was wrong. It was very disappointing. Weve been to other I Hops in the past and never had an experience like this.I know that many restaurants are short staffed, at the moment but there were employees that didn’t seem to be doing anything. Youd think that in the spirit of team work, theyd pitch in where needed.
Have tried 3 times now to eat there. They are SO disorganized they cant seem to get out of their own ways! We never actually made it inside to eat!!! Thats how bad they are.Have eaten at IHOPS down south with NO issues. We will NOT be giving this place a 4th try. 3 strikes & theyre out. We eat out a lot & are more than happy to eat at another restaurant that has their act together & we actually DO get to eat! Ha! What a concept!
The waitress we had was so kind and the food was fine, but the wait after we ordered was usually long. It was also slightly frustrating with the condiments... they were brought out individually; which is fine, but if you didnt have enough it was slightly annoying to have to wait for them to get more.
Not good or bad. Not sure what all the fuss about IHOP is. The wait for a table was about 10 minutes. Not too bad. The service was pretty quick. The portions were quite large. I only ate about half of what was served. Tasted okay, but I guess was expecting something different and exciting from a normal diner since everyone in the area was excited when they were building it. Cant blame that on the restaurant itself though. Lol.
Went to this location, and was given our order. Before I even took a bite waitress tried checking on us to confirm food was good in about 2 minutes. Less then 5 minutes after we were given our food she gave us the receipt. Then came right back to take payment. Was extremely rude and extremely rushed. I had half my food left when I had to pay and was rushed to leave because they had people waiting. I watched them rush another customer seated right next to us who did not stop eating to take money out and they approached them twice to get the money to cash the table out. 2 different waitresses. Poor training. Bad customer service. Our bill was about $70 to be rushed like to pay and leave. Pathetic.
We waited 15 minutes before we were seated. We were given menus but no one came with silverware or to take pur order while other people who came after us were waited on. After I found someone to wait on us, she brought us coffee and said our waitress was backed up. Still noone took our order. After waiting 45 minutes we stood up and left. Don’t bother going. They were turning people away because they were so backed up.
It was our second time there. The first time everything was good but the food wait time was over an half an hour. This time was awful. The waitress took our order. We had to ask for silver ware. The food came but not in total. My husband was missing his hash browns and I was missing my toast which came 5 minutes later. Could not dunk toast in my over easy eggs. We had to ask for more coffee. Disappointment to say the least.
Horrible experience all around. We arrived, waited almost 40 minutes for a table, and then were told to come in. Even after that wait, we had to wait another 10 minutes for a server to lead us to our table. We waited for a long time until our waitress showed up and asked for drink orders, when we asked for coffee, she said that we had to wait because there were no available mugs… that’s some serious slacking and under staffing in the kitchen. We got no straws for our shakes and the replacement clean mug for yet another 20 minutes. In a tad bit, our waitress went to serve another table that come in after us prior to serving us. She seemed quite flustered over the 3 tables of larger parties but was less her fault and more of the serious understaffing causing them to scramble over all the tables. We finally put our orders in, but almost 2 hours later we hadn’t gotten our food. So we decided to leave. While the manager told us that food would be out within 15 minutes, we no longer wished to wait. While servers and hostesses we of pleasant manners, the service times were awful and no customer would wish to wait. This place could use some serious staffing and fixing.
The service was not very good. They were nice enough when they were there but they never once checked on us besides the essential ordering and bill times. I had to go out in search of ketchup for my friends eggs. On the other hand our food was very good. My milkshake was excellent. Once the staff gets a bit more trained up I have hope for improvement.
Waitress was nice. Management came around to all the tables and seemed nice. However the kitchen does not seem to know how to get food out in a timely manner or get food out for the same table all at once. Our homefries arrived at our table 10 minutes before the rest of our meals, when the rest of our meal arrived the eggs and bacon were cold but the pancakes were hot. The table next to use had 2 people served their food while the 3rd person waited another 5-10 minutes and it was all breakfast food. Seems like a very poor timing issue. Will try again and give them the benefit of doubt but if its the same issue next time that will probably be our last.
We wait over 15 minutes to get silverware my friend had to ask for it. We did get coffee and hot cocoa right away but nothing to stir with. It took over hour to get the food. They were doing the to ho orders and kept us waiting. They need more cooks on the weekend. The wait fir your food is ridiculously looonnggg.
The food is exactly what you would expect from a large chain breakfast joint- decent breakfast staples. However, this location has some big issues. Each time we have been here, the restaurant is filthy. There are smears of meals gone by on the tables, seats, and dividers, and the floor is littered with food waste and dust. The staff is friendly, but seems to be mismanaged. The person responsible for seating guests also bussed the tables (servers did not assist in clearing dishes), and they stopped to explain her job to every person waiting to eat. This made the long wait even longer. The manager did not seem to get involved or provide direction to help improve the situation. Definitely not a place to go if you have time constraints or want a clean environment.
Never again the hostess at the front door could not explain why people were waiting over 2 hours to be seated when the restaurant was less than a quarter full the manager was uptight and miserable. Not only dead the cooks kept bringing out the wrong food but the eggs were overcooked the hash browns were dry and the milk tasted like they warmed it up on the stove. Highly recommend buying a box of pancake mix and cooking it yourself at home
So sad! This restaurant needs new management we arrived at IHOP inside the door at 1:30 on May 7, 2021. We were assured we would be called in in 10 minutes I gave her my name. 20 minutes later I called oh we’re sorry you can come right in. We were seated at a very nice both our waitress was pleasant enough. We ordered and at 2:30 we received our almost burnt requests! I had ordered one pancake that never did come to our table. We paid our bill I want to use the receipt and the number that was on the receipt would not go through! So that is why I am writing a review I have never been so annoyed! I have been wanting to go to this new IHOP since it opened a couple of months ago. But I would recommend you do not go there. You can always see for yourself but I really think that this place needs new management. And a few people were mentioning how three people had called in that day. Which was unprofessional. I was so shocked I could not blame the waitress for other peoples mistakes.
Never again! We went in on a Wednesday afternoon. First thing when we walked in, it was freezing. There was no one in the lobby to seat us. We waited several minutes and she finally came out and asked us, how many. I told her 2 and she said that she would have to go find a 2 person table. She finally came back after finding one. There were MANY vacant tables so I dont know why we specifically had to have a small one. We were not offered drinks. We were reading the menu and the prices were quite high. We sat there for awhile and couldnt get anyone to wait on us so we got up and walked out. I dont know what any of the problems were, it was not busy at all. We went to the competitor down on South Bay Rd and treated like we mattered as we are always treated. This Ihop is a joke! Buzz in our neighborhood says that they round up your bill and keep your coin change without telling you. Also that it takes forever to be seated even when theres open tables, some 45 minutes!
Had to wait 1 hour to be seated which is understandable, but then took 45 minutes to get French toast, toast, bacon and mozzarella sticks. Okay, I understand they’re busy. But finally I only got 4 pieces of French toast when the menu says 6 pieces and my boyfriend’s 4 piece bacon turned out to be 2 thick cut slices of inedible ham. 🤢 had to find another waitress to get our bill and find another one to take our payment..... not impressed
Absolutely horrible, went there this afternoon for brunch, and was miserable from the start. Waited over an hour to get served, and the place was near empty. When finally served, the eggs were under cooked and mushy. Ive had better eggs in the field while I was in the army. Will never visit this place again
This place is the worst. We waited for a while to sit…Which was fine. But we waited about 30 minutes for our drinks. That’s after waiting 20 minutes for a sever to actually coming to us. I am sitting here now waiting for all our drinks and food. Awful. I am a server and bartender. I am looking around and there are not even a lot of tables. I can do all of these tables as my section and make it work. It’s my moms bday. Such an bad experience. Do not come here!
Absolute worst place ever. Don’t waste your time or money here. Service and food were terrible. We waited about 15 minutes before our waitress even greeted us. Then is took 45 minutes from the time we ordered to when we finally got our food. I ordered French toast. It was burnt on one side and one slice wasn’t even French toast. It was regular toast. This place is garbage .
I am pleased with the service and food I received at the newer location on Route 31 in Clay…. They have a very knowledgeable GM named Jamie who has a pretty awesome personality and was more then accommodating when it came to getting us seated. She even checked on us in between our meal to check the quality of the food and ensure that we were satisfied…. She definitely earned a repeat customer here. I appreciate you and I will be back to see you guys real soon. Thanks
Waited for a half hour for drinks and over an hour for food. Onion rings were burnt and burger subpar at best. The breakfast portions ordered were satisfactory. Our server was very friendly but unfortunately service and quality were lacking. I understand how understaffed businesses are so I cant say this is the norm for this place. Maybe Ill give it another go in the future but order breakfast and leave the birgers to burger joints.
Thought we would try out the new local restaurant. Waited, waited, waited and waited for our order. Finally came after approx 35 minutes. Not good at all. A lot of items tasted pre cooked. Bacon was apparently cooked in a fryer...tasted like pork rinds and when I dropped a piece on my plate it actually turned to dust. All was cold. There were at least 11 employees doing nothing. Manager was not ensuring that customers were happy. She was just standing at the podium at the entrance talking with several employees.Someone from Corporate needs to secret shop that place before it closes for good. You need an entire new staff from the top down. I would take 2 people from top performing stores to train the staff on the menu items and how to wait on tables.Absolutely terrible waste of $50. Will never step foot in there again
Absolutely horrible, I should have known by the fact there were no customers there on a Friday night. Waitress took our order and disappeared, came back 30 minutes later to let is know our food would be a little late as the kitchen was rushed with orders all at once. This confused me as there were only 3 tables with people in the entire restaurant. Employees all looked like they just rolled out of bed and did not shower. Our food finally arrived 30 minutes later after waiting for an hour, food looked and tasted horrible and was cold. Waitress came back and gave us the check, then disappeared again. I had to ask the hostess to find our waitress so we could pay the bill and leave. What were these people doing g all this time? Shame on the manager for not supervising these employees. DO NOT GO THERE!!!
The worse service I have ever incountered in my life! Waited in front for so long I had to call restaurant to let them know that we were standing there for approx. 10 minutes to be seated. We were the only customers at the time. Finally got seated, the waiter took our food orders & brought our drinks then after 30 minutes 2 other families came in. They were immediately waited on, chatted with waiter for some time & then received their food before us. We sat for 30+ more minutes & then called waiter to ask about our food to be told that it was just started & would be awhile. We then walked after already waiting over of an hour. What a joke, wont go again!
Horrible! Not only was there a 20 min wait to get in, the wait for food was even longer. They did the cardinal sin of bringing out half the tables order. I waited a good five minutes after my mom got her food. It was all very bland and tasted like grease. Ended up upsetting my stomach. When asked for salt and pepper they handed us a handful of those little paper single serving packets. Ketchup was also those little packets. Unlike what IHOP used to have with multiple syrup flavors we got syrup handed to us in tiny to go cups. In the end was not worth the wait. Only saving grace is the staff is very friendly.
Waited 10 minutes to be seated, then ordered a small order, took an hour and a half for our food, 3 or 4 couples that came in before me and my grandson were served before us. Then got our food in to-go boxes and left. Will never eat here again. Horrible service was blamed on 2 cooks in the kitchen.👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
So far Ive been here twice. Due to covid and seating restrictions, both times I had to wait for a seat. The times I went were both on a weekday and before lunch time. Both times Ive gone, the wait was only 15-20 minutes. You get put on a waiting list with your phone number and they text you when your table is ready.Onto the food. Both visits, the food was excellent. Both times breakfast items were ordered. Food came nice and hot and was very delicious. Not sure how other people are receiving cold food but also, that can happen anywhere too.The servers were friendly both times as well. The second time I went, I ordered the New York Cheesecake pancakes and didnt know it came with strawberries. So I asked politely to have it remade without strawberries. Im sure it was irritating to the waitress to have to take it back but she was polite and said it was no problem, instead of being rude about it.Overall, both experiences were very nice. The one thing Id recommend to improve is the staff talking about their personal lives around customers. I cant give exact details but some of the conversations probably should be heard by customers. But thats just me nitpicking.I think the longer they are open, the more they will improve. The bad staff will get replaced with good staff, the chefs will become more efficient and the place will run better. This place hasnt been open for all that long so the people making massive complaints, give this place a chance and time. It was perfect both times I went and Ill be visiting again.
50 minutes to be seated, over half an hour wait for food. $10 for a meal without meat. Staff is polite, but extremely slow and inefficient. Silverware and syrup had to be requested several times, and the syrup never arrived. Cannot recommend this place. Just because its the only IHOP in the area doesnt make it worth visiting.
Food is okay at best. I remember it being better in Colorado. The place in Clay seems to be managed poorly. People are always standing at the door and the counter never seems to be manned as it should. 19 Sept 21 have to say o had hoped it would be better then the last time we were told twenty to thirty minutes currently over an hour right now. The girl behind the counter said they are short in the kitchen. How are you short on a Sunday in the kitchen? This is a simple fix you schedule an extra cook they can always be sent home. If it wasnt for the fact that my wife has a gluten allergy Id never come back I hate this place....
We were in yesterday for lunch. The waitress Kim was awesome. However the food was over cooked. French fries were hard as rocks n the chicken tenders were over fried as well. Seems the fryers need to be cleaned. There were several flys that surounded our table too. Not a pleased with our food.
This is my fourth time going to this awful establishment. I thought they would be able to at least make a pancake because its in the name. However they had 1 job and it was to make me good pancakes. My pancakes were both burnt an.d raw at the same time (too much heat too little time). My hashbrowns were a square and the cheese was on top. They didnt even have bagels. I waited over 5 minutes for a glass of tap water with too much ice and not enough water. They changed their name to international house of burgers, they should have stuck to that because their breakfast was horrendous. In the name international house of pancakes, the building was not a house and was not built out of pancakes and the pancakes they did have as I previously stated, were obismal.
First, the waiter Chris was amazing. When we first got there I told my wife we need to start coming here for the service. That’s your one star. Everything was cold, my stack of pancakes tasted like a large, cold biscuit and my daughters “silly face” pancake was 90% cocoa powder. She refused to eat it and she is 3. She eats everything!
Wait was a little long but they are understaffed so it’s completely understandable! The food was amazing and tastes the same as the last time I had iHop over 4 years ago! The staff were friendly and although they were all wearing masks, you could tell they were smiling. I don’t remember my servers name but you did a wonderful job! You provided excellent customer service. So to the server with the dark hair and rhinestone mask, great job! Keep it up!
Food was not good. Chicken overcooked, wrong items brought out to the table. Incredibly long wait for our drinks and we needed refills before our food arrived. Everyone in our seating area had issues as well, from overcooked food to cold toast. Plates on surrounding tables were left half eaten if touched at all. Had customers warning other customers on the way in to run and they did. All in all will likely never return.
Good food, very personable waitress! Understaffed, wait staff literally sprinting to keep up. Kitchen got order wrong, had to wait 10 min for 2 scrambled eggs to fix order fail. Complete management failure. Nicest waitress through it all and again, good food when they got it right.
Food was terrible, wait staff was terrible and the over all feel was even worse. Our food was cold, we had to flag someone down for napkins and silverware and we had to ask more than once for the rest of our order. Our entree came out before our appetizer and our appetizer was still half frozen. None of the staff seemed to care.
First the waitress acted as if we were interrupting her day, second I ordered sausage for my grandson and never got it, but still ended up paying for it, next my hashbrowns were so overcooed they could have been potatochips, The pancakes where extremely dry and we had to ask 3 different people for silverware. Will never go to IHOP again. The service you receive is the worst.
The waitress was very nice. Managers need to revamp step up and change the way you handle the online orders to the people who want to eat in the place. Online orders get serviced first and that generates a wait time for all others. The restaurant was pretty empty 10people everyone else is told there is a 30 to 40minute wait......they do the on line orders first because of a computer generated system.....please someone I mean you managers go to the corporate office and change this system or there will be another restaurant closing
Barely anyone in there it took forever to get breakfast and then when it came my mothers meal was cold and my husband pancakes were raw and my omelette was crispy for the price of it I thought it would be way way better so $60 dollars soooooo not worth it never going back
Waited almost an hour for our food even though they werent very busy. My mushrooms & bacon for my omelet were borderline burnt. Hubby ordered over easy eggs & got hard eggs, his bacon was almost burnt. Very over priced for the amount of food you get. Wont be in a hurry to go back.
Walked in to restaurant at 9:20 on a Sunday morning. Female working there never acknowledged our existence. She picked something off the counter and went to discuss something with another employee. After a few minutes with no service or acknowledge or Ill be right with you we left.
Service was terrible between both the waitress and cook. Only six tables and wait was an hour. Everyone there was annoyed when I walked in. One group walked out another group were debating it. Waitress commented not too bad we only lost one table there were only six! Lol Will go out of business if they dont hire new staff. They will be done in a few months if they dont. I was warned before I went so words already out.
Only rated this a 1 because 0 isnt an option. Where to start??!? We waited ridiculously long for everything. To be seated, order and receive drinks and order food. The only thing we didnt wait for was the check because it was received with the food, which was lukewarm at best. Waited for refills and a sausage side which was small and overcooked. Ordered a steak omelet no shrooms or tomatoes. I got a meat lovers that they picked the tomatoes off and were kind enough to ask if I was allergic. And I couldnt understand why my son, who normally devours his eggs before anything else, wouldnt eat them. And no sooner did I go take a bite and know exactly why. Im guessing the egg mixture had been out all day and was definitely spoiled. I mean you know rancid egg when you smell it. We might have complained, especially after that but we barely saw our waitress, who was nice enough but clearly overwhelmed. And holy FLIES!! They made an already wretched experience almost unbearable. The restaurant had an odor and was in need of a good once over. And thus was after 2 weeks ago we placed a to-go order and they completely forgot an entire bag of food. And took nearly 2 weeks to receive my refund. We were excited to get IHOP back, but clearly this establishment has been hit hard with understaffing issues during this time. Close your doors when you dont have adequate staff to provide your customers the bare minimum.
Yuck! So to start off, it was today, a Sunday around 4:00pm, place had hardly anyone there so we figured why not! We had never been to an IHOP and we wanted to give it a try, now note, there were three people in our party so not an overwhelimg amount. We were seated (which upon entering it took a moment for someone to come up to even ask us table for how many) once seated we were given menus and told someone would be right with us, no big deal. Our waitress came over and asked about drinks which we ordered and they were brought out almost immediately, which was great. So she asked us if we needed a second to order which we did and she walked away. She came back with in less then a minute asking if we had long enough to figure out what we wanted, it felt very rushed for a restaurant that had next to no one in it. Not to mention the tables and seats didnt seem extremely clean either, they almost looked like they had syrup spilled on them. Fast forward a bit. She took our order and the wait seemed quite long, she forgot part of our meal, not once put two times only to have to go back again and then informed us they didnt even have the fruit we had ordered and asked if we would like something else instead. She didnt give us silverwear until after our food came out and because we asked for it, she laughed and said omg my bad. Our parties order wasnt even all brought out at the same time and to top it off, the food wasnt even very good. Plus heres an added bonus, flies everywhere while we were trying to eat. For 3 people ordering the most basic amount of stuff and nothing extravagant our bill came to almost $50. The service was bad enough but then to have alwful food that parts of it we couldnt even eat, yikes. I dont like leaving bad reviews but I will not be going back. I was so very disappointed. The workers who were on seemed more concerned with laughing and joking around and didnt even once ask us how our food was. Didnt ask why we hadnt even touched one of the plates brought out to us. This place needs new management and wait staff, would give zero stars if possible, sadly dissatisfied
Took forever to even get drinks after waiting 20 minutes for a seat despite not being that busy. Waitress was caught up with a party and was the only one on staff. I felt awful for her having to juggle tons of tables on her own. Management NEEDS to hire more people. Food was decent, however.
We got to IHOP at 6:30. We were told that there was 6 people in front of us and the wait would be 45 minutes. Okay fine. We wait in the car for our text an an hour goes by. My grandmother goes in and checks how much longer the wait would be. They told us that there were somehow still six people in front of us after an hour. We told them that was what they said an hour ago. We do not get seated until 8:00. We ordered and waited an hour. Our waitress said that its on the way over and over again. Its in the window, itll be right out. 20 minutes later and no food. The waitress says that itll be out soon and that the table of 13 that came in took a long time. I knew more about the table of 13 then I did about my own order. At the same time we see the dishwasher comes in and out of the kitchen just walking around the resturant. At almost 9:00, we get up and leave because it has been way too long. While we leave, we are told we are understaffed, and, We only have two cooks! I dont even know how the kitchen is functioning with only two cooks. The manager in training says that The only thing I can do is apologize, like come on. Its been way too long.If you want to waste an evening starving, this is the place to go! 0/10
I went here with my daughter add grandbabies we all ordered our food the waiter brings everyones food but mine..and says we forgot to put your order in..WTH WELL I FORGOT TO TIP..PLUS I HAD TO LITERALLY GO SEARCH FOR SOMEONE TO TAKE THE MONEY FOR MY BILL..WAS SO TEMPTING TO JUST WALK OUT ..IT SURE WOULD OF BEEN EASY..BUT IM NOT SLEEZY
Waited months for this place to finally open. Okay, trying to open up in the middle of a pandemic probably isn’t the easiest. Took my son there last night. 45 minute wait in the car (understandable with social distancing restrictions for dine in). Finally got the text that our table was ready. We go in and the front lobby has probably 5 different parties all standing there waiting to be seated. Finally seated after 5-10 minutes and it is another 15-20 minutes before our server comes to greet us. That was last night. My wife who is a nurse on a 16 hour shift today asks me to get her and her co worker ihop for breakfast since they can’t be home for Easter with their families. I attempt to place order over the phone, and rudely met with “they can’t accept phone or in person orders. Only online”. So I go online. I order their meals only to be met with an error in the checkout process and that I will need to call the store directly. So I call the store AGAIN and am told (by another person not so rudely this time) that unfortunately they can not take phone or in person orders, only online. When I explain the error, she says “they probably shut down the online ordering for the day”. NEVER AGAIN!!!! If this is how this business is going to operate, I won’t be surprised to see another vacant building in the not so distant future.
Ive been to this place twice. The first time was a few days after they opened and the last time was on 4/16/21. Id like to start by saying that this restaurant is only saved by the wait staff which seem to be carrying the entire restaurant. We arrived at around 6:30pm. There was a lot of people waiting at the hostess station. One of the nearby staff asked if we were eating in or picking up. We were told there would be about a 30-45 minute wait for a table. Once were able to get to the hostess station we were told that it would actually be about 20-30 minutes. We decided to go to the nearby mall and walk around instead of waiting in the crowded entrance.25 minutes later our table was ready and we were back and seated at our table right around 7pm. We ordered our drinks and about 5 minutes later we ordered our food. This is where the problem began. We ordered breakfast food. I ordered the split decision, which had eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, pancakes, and french toast. My girlfriend ordered a similar meal. It took 45 minutes for us to get our food. When we got our food, our pancakes and french toast were missing. My girlfriends bacon was burnt. When we complained about the bacon we got an immediate replacement. After another 15 minutes we finally got our pancakes. It took an additional 10 minutes to get the french toast. Before paying for our meal, we asked to speak to the manager. I fully intended to start and end this conversation pleasantly, suggesting that they really needed to figure out what was slowing down their kitchen because the wait staff was excellent. This manager was full of excuses. Too many people called in, cant find enough staff for the kitchen, there are too many take-out orders, Uber eats just started that day and people were ordering from really far away, etc. Then she told us that they had long since made their sales goal for the day from how many orders they got. She was very unprofessional. We got nothing but excuses and what appeared to be bragging about their profits. No compensation for the 1 hour we waited for diner food that should take 15 minutes to prepare. The manager really needs to learn to address customer complaints more professionally. Complaining about your staff, and bragging about record profits while dealing with a disgruntled customer is very unprofessional. If corporate is reading this, I suggest that you provide some more training for dealing with customers in a professional manner. Also, this restaurant was built and opened during COVID, I expected that they would be equipped for dealing with a large amount of take-out and online orders. The in-house tables should not be ignored because they are overwhelmed with online orders.
My family and I went in today for breakfast and although the wait time was supposed to be 45 minutes they seated us in less than 20 minutes. Once we were seated we were greeted by a very nice waitress, I forget her name, but she was pleasant and attended to everything. We ordered 3 entrees for bfast and it tasted so amazing. I have been to many ihop locations in different states and this one by far is the best when it comes to taste. A must stop location.
We have been there 3 times. Everytime the wait time is an hour or more. We have gone at different times and days. Needless to say we havent had the chance to try your food. I was glad to hear that we had an ihop..now i am very discouraged. My husband and i are in food service so we know the business. If you want to stay open something must be done..
Not a good experience. There was an hour wait at 1pm even though I saw that a majority of tables were empty and clean. So I was reasonable and just ordered for a pickup. My Belgian waffles were almost burnt (Dark brown), and the cupcake pancake things I ordered were absolutely smothered in whatever sweet syrup stuff that they called for. This made it really hard to eat them without vomiting. It really is an interesting experience to be THWARTED by IHOP in my goal of getting a decent meal. Dont even get me started on how they have no idea that meals require utensils to eat with.My advice, drive the hour or so to the other IHOP in CNY.
Went for breakfast when restaurant first opened and it was a disaster. Decided to give it another try because we love ihop and it had been months, big mistake. I understand staffing shortages that are going on all over but this was ridiculous. Waited 50 minutes before the manager came over and apologized for it taking this long for an omelet, shrt stack of chocolate chip pancakes, strawberry pancakes, and 2 children cupcake pancakes. The manager did wipe away the check but this was strike two and we will not be going back. It took a total of 1 hr and 5 minutes to recieve our food.
Server was nice, our order didnt come out correctly but it wasnt a big deal. I received 3 ten dollar gift cards for Christmas but apparently one didnt work. Unfortunately I didnt realize it until after my credit card was run through. So now I have a ten dollar credit on a piece of paper hanging in the office. That forces me to go back which I dont want too.
My experience was terrible. Arriving at the restaurant I was excited to see there was only 2 cars in the parking lot but I soon found out why nobody wants to eat here. I had to wait half an hour for my food but at least I was occupied trying to swat the 3 flies that were hovering around my table. The food was alright and the staff were nice but I probably won’t be returning anytime soon
Bad, second time I have tried tgem, not good. Way understaffed. Waited 45 minutes to have my food brought out wrong, no gravy on the country fried steak, chicken strip that looked burnt and like they came from a bag of store named. The pancakes were overcooked and had what looked like pink nail polish on them. I dont think they will get a third try from me.
My wife and I got food twice here. First time was door dash and she ended up with hair in her food and my order was wrong. Took an hour to get through to anyone. We decided to give them a second chance and went there to eat. The inside doesnt seem like a place that just opened up but has been open for a few years. Also the food was OK at best.
I’ve gone probably 6 or 7 times since they’ve opened, usually getting to go pickup orders, curbside rarely exist here only one of the times I’ve gotten it had they actually picked up the phone for me to tell them I’m there. If you try going on a weekend I wish you luck the waitlist for a table is 45 minutes minimum but usually sits at a solid hour and 30 minutes and you still have to wait for food. And again can’t make reservations over the phone when they don’t answer. And even after all that they’re CONSTANTLY forgetting parts of my order, don’t leave the building until you check everything cause some of it might be burnt to a crisp as well. And please don’t take out your frustrations on these poor waitresses, they have no say I’m sure in the way management is running things.
Zero star rating. The only reason that there is one star is that the app wont let you post without one. The worst dining experience of my life. Untrained server, we waited 1 hour after ordering for our food. Two of us ordered the country fried steak which was not steak, it was some ground meat shaped into a patty and fried hard as a rock. I will never recommend that place to anyone.
Forty Five minute wait to get in. Staff friendly. Food extremely slow coming out of the kitchen. Wife ordered French Toast from the 55+ menu and only got half of the French Toast that was advertised. Bacon was extremely over done, burnt and she almost cracked a tooth eating it. I ordered the T-Bone Steak and eggs. The meal was edible but the steak had a strange taste to it. Next meal will be at Cracker Barrel.
Got there around 8am, restaurant was not busy but still waited over an hour for my food. They served my husband first and he was almost finished eating by time I even got my food and when I did get my food it was only half my order, I had to wait another 10 minutes for my Belgian waffle. The floor was nasty, looked like they didn’t even sweep the floor the night before. Belgian waffle was ok but my husbands French toast was stale. The place was also freezing! We immediately noticed the moment we walked in and my husband & I spent a lot of time huddled together because it was so cold!
We placed an on-line curb side order. Pick up was scheduled for 9:24. At 10:10 our order finally came out; cold, with hard pancakes and bacon. If an order is going to be delayed it would be nice to have received a call or be told when I called upon arrival. I understand a few mins delay but almost an hr sitting there is ridiculous. Very disappointing and will most likely not return. Spent $40 on food we didnt even eat.
Was seated in a booth only to discover that i sat in a pile of syrup,, cleaned it up myself with a bottle of cleaner sitting tableside..feet stuck tofloor,,they were sorry but not concerned. Meanwhile had coffee and waited for an hour to be served,no coffee refills offered, food brought out,but ooops again ,pancakes are on the way after 10 more minutes, then waited on syrup and never did get ketchup. Was a total waste of time and money. At checkout told waitress of the disaster and all she said was ooops it was my fault. REALLY NOW / Dont waste your time, was my 2nd and last.
08/17/2021 I walked in this IHOP with high hopes im from NYC i miss white castle and Ihop. Upon entry I noticed flies and immediately brought this HEALTH HAZARD to my lady attention. We decided to go further into the restaurant, TOTAL TOTAL MISTAKEFIRST more Fkn flies in the restaurant where folks are eating. Why are there so many flies?cause the tables dont get cleaned after people finish eating i noticed 3 uncleaned tables.Upon being seated i couldnt eat here, i noticed an uncleaned table to my left with 3 flies, we left immediately. To walk out we walked back thru the lobby only to disturb the 20+ flies hanging out in the vestibule.A few flies flying no issue a herd of them i have a problem. I understand being short staffed but pay people more and give them more responsibility because your a brand new ihop is about to be shut down by the health department. Grosssssss
The staff is always courteous and the food is always delicious. One of the cooks made me an extra special Spicy Poblano Omelet and it was one of the best Omelets of my life. Be warned though, there will be a wait for a table on the weekend because this IHOP is so popular. Make sure to leave in advance.
Waited 2 hrs after our order was taken, when we finally got our food it was cold, items missing or not correct and the pancakes were hard, felt sorry for the waitress as she was great apologizing for the delay and tried her best to correct the errors she was 5 stars, but the rest was 2 at best.
I was really excited to eat at this ihop, I hadn’t eaten from there in years due to the fact that there were none around where we live. Anyways, we arrived and as soon as we walked in the floors were extremely slippery for no reason. It didn’t really make sense because if the floor is super slippery then what would happen if an old person with a cane slipped? Then, we were greeted to our table and the whole environment was extremely sad. Nobody seemed happy, they all just seemed gloomy and not wanting to be there at all with short responses and minimal contact to us. The food itself was not good, I ordered “chocolate chip pancakes” but they weren’t just chocolate chip. The whole pancake was chocolatey and I did not like it. Hash browns seemed hard and stale. Would not visit again.
Disappointed.. my husband and I were excited to go and try the new ihop and we showed up at 2:30 pm on a Sunday... there was maybe 10 cars and that is including the employees. website live said not busy at all and longest wait time would be maybe 5-10 mins to be seated. So when we pulled in we were happy to see that it was not busy at all. When we walked in they told us 45-60 min wait to be seated and no one was in there WHAT?! Never again.
Placed in- app order during dinner time and it popped up saying itd be ready in 20 minutes for pickup. I get there at there 20 minute mark, which they say the order isnt ready yet for another 10 minutes. To wait outside in the car while its raining and theyll bring it out to curbside pickup. 10 families walk in and they completely forget about my family order. Waited another 30 minutes. The hostess walks out and asks for a Robert until they see me, having completely forgotten about my order, they ask my name and give the oh 5hit look.Food was cold and soggy. Worst IHOP experience ever.
Number 1 , the hostess/waitress had an attitude problem . 2 Apparently they had some sort of waiting list like a fancy restaurant even tho there was hardly any one in there. So obviously my friend and werent on such list and were told it would be over a 30 minute wait.. Again there was hardly anyone in the restaurant with a few tables available. Needless to say we left mainly because of hostess attitude. And no Im not Adam Sandler so I dont think this IHOP will offer unlimited milkshake Mondays. 1 star from me
So with ihop being my favorite restaurant I am very unhappy with the service I recieved today. Lets start out by saying my health was completely put at risk today and the manager acted like she could care less. So I waited for a table that took longer than what i was told. So I decided to order to go instead. In my order I ordered scrambled eggs well done with cheese. I get my food and they completely forget to put the eggs in the order. So I go back in and then they give me raw scrambled eggs. How wonderful especially when I am a high risk pregnant person. They so called fixed the eggs by throwing them in a slight min longer and place it back in the raw eggs container with raw egg juice everywhere. I was told by the manager its because their training. So because their training I cant get cooked food. How lovely. Never again. I rather drive to Utica which is the next closest one to me where Ive always gotten great service.
Took 2 bites out of my crepes and they were gone. Nothing filled me up. My husband chicken sandwich tasted burnt and the fries were over salted. Both of our meals was $40. It was ridiculous for the little amount of food we got. We could have went to McDonald’s and got better tasting food
I think Kathy and Courtney Evans must work at IHOP. No way this is deserving of 5 stars. Ordered on the App for curbside and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. Well that 20 minutes turned into an hour wait. Seriously!!! How long does it take to make an order of pancakes and sausage? No apology for the wait. Gave it a shot despite the horrible reviews. Definitely will not be back.
Seriously disappointed at The lack of service and employees employees this has nothing to do with with employee actual service this is more directed towards corporate corporate as there were clearly not enough people to staff this place but yet they went ahead and opened it up anyways. Went there totally looking forward to it and and set in the lobby for almost 15 minutes without a single staff member greeting us and other people said they were waiting over an hour to an hour and a 1/2 and havent gotten their food
Server was all over the place much like most of the restaurant, even though it is a small space at limited capacity. Numerous tables next to us and around us had complaints about the food and service. Multiple wrong orders were delivered to our table and staff was not very knowledgeable.
I tried to order online and it was incredibly painful. I had to fill my cart 3 times because when adding an item, to go back to add more refreshes to an empty cart. You go to check it and it shows empty so I go to add again and thats when you realize that the site is actually really delayed and now there are duplicates. Adding a meal will not add if you dont select everything but the indicator informing you of this is not directly apparent so you dont realize nothing was added. Creation of the account was very annoying because of the forced way of viewing the TOS and privacy policy. When initially unselected the spam email box, unsuccessful account creation will reselect this option. You fight with unchecking this and opening the TOS and privacy and each time wrestling with the spam email box. In the end they forced the spam email on me anyways. After all of that they couldnt even complete the order online anyway, citing large volume (7:05AM so the store just opened) so I had to call in and place the order over the phone. I was told that the order would be ready in 20-30 mins.I showed up 30 mins later and there was quite a wait to pick up. The young lady that went to retrieve my order came back and told me that the order was never processed because the printer ran out of ink and they had to process everything, starting now. By this time it was 45-50 mins since I placed my order over the phone. I expressed my displeasure to which the young lady told me: well, it has to cook ya know. About 5 mins later, the food showed up so it didnt seem like the printer story was accurate (didnt make much sense in this day-in-age anyways). When I went to pay, the young lady told me: see, it wasnt that long, was it?The food was only mildly warm, egg portions were laughably small, my hashbrown side was hardly noticeable as there was maybe one bite there and it didnt look good. Maybe this is an IHOP thing but there was no butter or syrup provided with the pancakes.Everything from placing the order, to customer service, to the food itself was disappointing.I wont be coming back.
Very unorganized and the food was awful. All I wanted was pancakes, remembering the Dewitt store and how good they always were. With that said my expectations were entirely to high! The pancakes were burnt and when I complained I got more Burnt pancakes. The waitress was overwhelmed and not well trained although she was friendly.Im not sure if I will give it another try in the future.
Went out to eat here to test it out and the food was horrible, just go to a local family diner I promise you’ll get more for your money. Spent 30$ and the eggs were crusty, pancakes were soggy, bread was stale and hash browns looked hardly cooked. We waited 20 minutes for our coffee and waters because they forgot about it, but they were busy so I wasn’t very upset about that it was more so the food I disliked. Never will go here again.

2022-04-22Well i dont know if its unusual BUT we were seated immediately and then waited 30 min before anyone came to our table for coffee! Now I’m still sitting here waiting for our food and we’ve been seated for 55 minutes this is not acceptable. Well food arrived at 1 hour wait and it was what we ordered; Denver omelet which my husband said was very good. MMR meal was a protein pancake stack with 2 eggs and bacon, My eggs were cold and we had to ask for silverware!Yikes!

2022-06-13I have been here couple times, it is definitely improved since my last visit. Honestly, this time I would say everything was perfect. Food was delicious, and I did not wait too much for my order.

2022-01-05When the menu claims that you get cream cheesecake bites, I want expecting them to be piled on the center. It made the center of the pancakes very wet while to rest was very dry.We will not be returning. $36 for breakfast for breakfast is a lot more than you should spend for what we had...

2021-07-11We had to wait an extremely long time to be waited on and given drinks, over 20 mins and a long time for our food to arrive. The food itself was alright but a bit cold. We were frustrated by how small the plates were for the pancakes. If you put syrup on them it will spill over the sides making a mess over the table. We werent offered any water to drink either. The least favorite food item was the sausage links which were thin and way too much pepper. The place wasnt very clean either. The floors were extremely sticky, especially in the bathroom and trash was all over the bathroom. Overall it was a below average dining experience.

2022-03-01Tonight 2/25/2022 we went to this IHOP for dinner at 5:30. After waiting at the desk for over 5 minutes we left and went to the Euclid Restaurant where we were greeted and immediately seated. No one came to acknowledge our presence even though I had made eye contact with a wait staff in the kitchen. There were only four tables in use. It is a wonder that this restaurant hasn’t closed for lack of service.

2021-12-17I wish I could give 0 stars. I’d love to review the food, but can’t because we never received it. We waited almost 5 minutes to be acknowledged behind a group of three who had been there longer. We sat and in a slow but still reasonable time ordered. It was a fairly slow time with many open/empty tables. We ordered a combo and an omelet. Others came in after us and we’re slowly, eventually sat. We waited 30 minutes after placing our order without seeing our waitress and about 20 minutes not seeing anyone at all. All staff were in the kitchen. We wanted to flag someone down, but couldn’t because they were nonexistent. At the end an elderly woman was waiting for assistance at the front counter and no one was there. Eventually we left money for the drinks and ate at Panera bread. Save yourself an hour of your time. Menu looked great, but I’ll never go back.

2021-09-29I had breakfast with my family Sunday morning and it was absolutely fabulous. The food was delicious; I got the Reese’s peanut butter pancakes with hashbrowns, over easy eggs, and sausage. The food was delicious and the staff was so nice. Barely had to wait, getting there early is key to the best service!
