IHOP in other cities:
I order food from the Clifton Park IHOP 1-2 times a week, so I can say with certainty that my input is not based on a single visit, but 6-10 times monthly. This is not my 1st time leaving comments on this peticular location, but I think its helpful to show the consistency of this resturaunt.I absolutely love the breakfast food from IHOP. The food is cooked and prepared the same almost every single time. Very rarely is a portion size different from the last, or not cooked exactly as I have asked for. I order from GrubHub so I take into consideration the amount of time it takes to get from the resturaunt to my table, and as long as the driver doesnt make any stops on the way to me, my food is always still warm or hot. I have also eaten in this resturaunt several times, and its even better. I think they do a really good job at this location, and I am very picky with food so it is somewhat rare for me to not only praise a resturaunt, but order only from just this one place. So thank you IHOP! You have kept me as a loyal customer over the years, and I will continue to get my weekend breakfast from you for as long as I continue to get it the way I have been.....which is perfect.
This was not good, overall. While the wait staff were friendly and seemed competent, I am not sure what else was going on. The place was nearly empty (probably with good reason). The ladies room was not functional- one stall was locked from the inside and the other had a toilet that was overflowing with paper products. The food was very overcooked. I am not sure how this IHOP stays open.
It is the worst IHop I go to, we arrived and they took us to the table after we were waiting for 20 minutes, some people came in after us and they were served quickly, the waitress only saw us while she was on her phone, she went to pick something up from the table from the side and said Ill come back to you in a moment, and just went to stand at the kitchen door to look at her phone, all the waitress was more concerned with her phone than doing her job
Coffees great its pretty cool having your own mini carafe. My omlet was a bit off and so was the hash browns. Kinda tasted like cafeteria food:/My server Kayln S rocked the service. Pay at the table no need to bring your tab up to the cashier I appreciate not doing the Walk of Shame with my tab and standing in yet another line.
This is my first time going to an IHOP. The restaurant was clean. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. I was seated right away they got my coffee took my order. The food was phenomenal! Hot and fresh coffee taste good the pancakes were to die for! I cant wait to go back again.
What an amazing experience, and it had nothing to do with the meal (which was great). There was a young woman named ALEX that was the amazing part. She was hostess, waitress, busser, and clean-up person. She also was very attentive to all the tables she had. I told her I actually saw her standing still for a minute but that was while she disinfected the register area. Management should take notice and reward employees like this. My sister and I were lucky enough to have ALEX as our hostess and server again today. I absolutely love it when that happens because I know it is going to be a fantastic time and it was, thank you Alex.
Slowest, IHOP in America. Most if the servers are incompetent. Forget things like creamer for the coffee and then never come back. 8 minutes between drink ordering and delivery. 40 minutes MORE for food. Bacon and sausage should already be in a heated drawer. Pancakes and scrambled eggs shouldnt take that long!Came in on Memorial Day Sunday. Better service. Lots of open tables but they still made us wait to be seated. After that, however, it was all-in-all a better experience.
So great to be able to eat in again! Ihop is doing all the cleaning, distancing etc to keep everyone safe. Great deals on yummy pancake, egg combos. Cheesecake pancakes were out this world. Eggs and sausage and hash browns were cooked perfectly, delivered to table hot. Service was fast and attentive. So glad to see them busy. Lets support this great local business! ❤️
Good food, however very inattentive and rude server. I believe her name was Melissa. She surely had a few tables to take care of this Ihop seem to be severely understaffed at all times even on a weekends. However it’s no excuse to leave your customers with empty coffee mugs throughout their meal and forget to bring necessary condiments. Long wait for food as well. Disappointing.
Went to IHOP around 11o’clock on a weekday. The hostess was very friendly and took us to our bench. We watched her wipe off the table put our things on the table and leave. As we sat down we noticed food on the benches, in the cracks of the benches and on the floor. This made it very hard to want to place an order and enjoy our meal while you’re sitting with nasty food all around you. Yes I did get up and asked to change seats. There were only two other tables taken in the restaurant. It took quite a while for our food to arrive. The food was tasty but the length of time it took and knowing that the place may not be as clean as it should be just didn’t and still doesn’t sit well. There’s no excuse for an unclean Restaurant let’s go clean it up or you’ll lose your business.
My son and I were looking forward to a nice IHOP pancake breakfast. There was only 1 waitress serving the entire restaurant. ONE!!! She kept apologizing to everyone and she was great. Fortunately, we had come in at a good time and were served quickly enough. All the other tables waited at least 20 minutes to half an hour to place an order. We might have gotten our food but couldnt eat it. The tasteless pancakes came apart, the bisquits were rock hard, the eggs were ice cold. She put a replacement order in for us, but besides losing our appetite, the food was not much better. This was 5:30 pm and there was no manager on duty to help the 1 waitress on a Saturday night! What kind of restaurant has the type of service?I doubt well be back here :-(
I was disappointed this visit. I havent been there in a few years and the atmosphere was lacking. The colors on the wall felt cold, the wall art looked like ads, and the coffee mugs looked dated even though clearly they were new. The food was okay, was disappointed in the coffee. There used to be delicious flavored coffee. Overall it felt like a hospital cafeteria or a rest stop. Pancakes were amazing though, so theres that.
Decided to give this a try one Sunday morning after recalling their IHOB Marketing campaign with my girlfriend. I got their spicy Burger and my girlfriend got a plain cheeseburger. They were absolutely delicious. We have since come here and tried more of their food. Their service and all of their food is top notch and really will give many Mom & Pop Diners a run for their money. Most people hear IHOP and think they only serve pancakes, but the reality is they can serve a mean breakfast, lunch and dinner at any time of day with fair prices and some of the best customer service around the area.
Very disappointed. We really wanted something nice for dinner. Saw that children eat free 1 per adult. With all that’s going on with this virus we didn’t want to feel forced to dine in to receive the promo. I called to ask if curbside pickup with the child in the car would suffice but they declined and said no... they do not seem to be concerned with my safety precautions. Very disappointed because we would have enjoyed it.
I waited over ten minutes just to be seated in the restaurant because the waitress was nowhere to be found, there were only 2 tables with people at them so we could have been seated right away. Waitress sat us then failed to even give us menus. It was probably half an hour or more before we even got drinks and our food took forever even though the restaurant was dead as I meantioned, which would have been okay if the food was good. Unfortunately my eggs were undercooked and my “mousse” on my pancakes was just goop. I’d never been let down at a breakfast place before last night. Very disappointed.
Visit was better than usual. We went once when the place was shut down with no signage on the door. Twice we have walked out after waiting (along with other who also walked) for more than 10 minutes to be seated after no host even appeared to tell us there would be a wait. Usually we wait quite a while with no apparent reason. SO...this time was better; not by much, but better. The food was decent and the waitress was friendly, although we only saw her to order and then again to get the check. We might be done with IHOP. Well see.
The staff are extremely kind, courteous and very friendly. I was impressed by their warm reception upon entering the restaurant and even though I had ordered food for pick up, they still were extremely professional and caring. The food was fresh and delicious as well.
Add a gift card so my daughter and I decided to go. The place was pretty much empty, but we decided to go anyways. We ordered a typical eggs, bacon, French toast and everything came out cold, food was not that great, the waitress really was not that great although she was friendly, the manager it seem like was having an issue with one of the staff that were so they were yelling at each other, very embarrassing especially since I have my 12-year-old daughter and he wanted to teach kids respect, and it’s pretty disrespectful. I didn’t say anything back I didn’t care enough I had to get certificate but I will never go back again the food was pretty much horrible all the butter couldn’t even mail because it was cold, the pancakes were very soggy the bacon was overdone the toaster is harder than a rock, I don’t even know what the hashbrowns were.
Place was almost empty. With maybe 3-4 tables and 2 waitress. It took almost 20-25 min to get our hot cocoa and almost an hour and a half to get our pancakes that came out wrong! Was absolutely disappointed! Not to mention it was so cold we couldnt take our coats off!
So I came on Monday night to enjoy a night with my family. We came when there were 2 other customer. We waited to be seated about 5 mins and no one out front to greet us. I was questioning if they were open and now I know why. When our order came out, my kids fish was raw and I had hair on my steak. The only reason I gave them 2 stars instead of one because the meal for the raw fish was comped. I cant say I recommend this place as I will not be back. .
It is a great place to eat the waitress was very nice. I have got to say my favorite part of the meal was the pancakes they were phenomenal! I know anybody can make pancakes but I have been to places where they are not that great and taste kinda like cardboard. However the hashbrowns do have something left to be desired they were unfortunately very greasy but edible and the sausage was kinda spicy but again edible. Next time, whenever I get to go again, it is all pancakes yum.
Went in this morning at around 11:30, 4 different employees looked and walked right by myself and several other parties in the lobby waiting to even be greeted by a host. ( mind you there was only 3 other parties seated at the time and 90% of the restaurant was empty)Finally someone came over and tried to bring us to a table without even asking how big our party was and then got annoyed when I told her I needed a table big enough for 4 adults and 3 children and that I did need 2 high chairs. Service afterwards was still not great. The waitress was at the table asking what we wanted before we even sat all the way down.. we ordered and then none of our meals came at the same time, I could have been halfway done with my foods before my kids meals ever came out. Obviously I waited for everyone to get food before eating so mine was cold and then took her 15 mins to just bring us the bill. This was a terrible visit
We had a table of 8 and traveled over an hour to come here for the holiday themed breakfast. Our drinks came out right away although there was plenty of variety ordered. Our food order was taken and after short conversations between us all the food came out hot with everything correct that we ordered. Because we had separate checks I believe that is how the ticket was put in to the kitchen so we had half the tables food come out first with a slight break before the other half came out. This really wasnt a big deal considering that we were a table of 8. I will definitely take my family back for another delicious breakfast.
This IHOP location is always very slow, so please plan accordingly. The wait staff is slow and you will probably never get a refill on your drink. The cooks are slow and you will always have a wait on your food. However, the food is usually quite good, with only a few times getting burned or undercooked food. We only get breakfast here, so I dont know how the other food is.
Asked for sunny-side up. Eggs. Both of us got nearly raw eggs. Mens room toilet was filthy and room was out of soap. No Covid-19 safety for the workaround because they didnt refill the towel dispense.Womens room was worse, with skidmarks on the toilet and no latches.Service was good
The service was absolutely horrible! I had to basically service my family myself. From the utensils, the coffee refilling our sodas. The food came out cold! Then they expect me to tip them!!!! LOL tip them for what?? Serving myself? They should of paid me!! I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN!! Even if it was FREE!! I’m ashamed that I brought my visiting family who came all the way from California to this!! How embarrassing!!
It was terrible! They were not very busy, we arrived at 10:15am Sunday morning. There were only 3 in our party. It took over 30 minutes to get our order, nothing too difficult, only pancakes. We never received our full drink order, workers appeared to be very disorganized. Ppl seated well after us, placed and received their order, in fact one family of 4 arriving after us, placed, received and ate their order just as we received ours! Huge disappointment!!!
Waited for about 15 minutes to be seated at a booth that was visible from the entry and was empty the entire time we waited. Ladies room was in need of cleaning, and paper towel dispenser was not working. Silverware was disgusting with caked on food. Had we not been starving, we would have left at this point. But, we foolishly chose to stay. Food arrived, and eggs were not cooked as ordered. Our waitress never returned to our table throughout the meal to check on us, and we had to flag her to get our check. Asked to speak to the manager on duty at check out. My fiance shared our concerns with her (he was not as kind as I would have been). Her response, We do the best we can, but sometimes upper management doesnt work with us. That response is the reason I am posting this review! Why should any employee care at all about the quality of their own work when their manager clearly does not care? As a middle level manager myself, I understand the frustrations of dealing with upper level management. However; it remains my job to motivate, inspire, and hold accountable my team. It doesnt require any training to note that utensils are filthy, and should NOT be wrapped up in a paper napkin and placed in front of a customer. It simply requires an ounce of caring about the well-being of another human. But, if your manager doesnt care, why on earth would the minimum wage employee? Everything about this experience highlighted this managers inability to be a team leader. Unfortunate that a random Sunday morning in Clifton Park, NY could not be managed, as I have been to IHOP in Daytona Beach, FL on a race weekend and had a significantly better experience.
Poorly staffed, food burnt or cold and silverware dirty. Management wasnt around to help the understaffing issue. 6 tables left, 20 mins later they started to seat people. Waited 35 mintues to be seated, another 30 for pancakes..when most of the room was empty. Many people left because they were frustrated. You would think when its a holiday and schools out you would be better prepared, especially when you are running a deal for kids and veterans.
The food was awesome. The service sucked. Walked in and not even eye contact for five minutes. We sat ourselves and got moved to a table elsewhere. No napkins the whole meal. Everybody in the kitchen on their phones. They either got their asses handed to them before we got there or something because after we sat down, a loud rally came from the kitchen. service still sucked though.
Went there for my sons birthday dinner and because we have 9 people who are around eachother all time time we couldnt sit together as a blended family this is really important! The staff was rude because i went over to the other table to help my son order tols me i cant be there! Absolutely ridiculous!!
It was almost completely empty tonight which is fine by me. I really wanted breakfast for dinner and this place has exactly what youd need to do it. People said I was crazy for wanting to eat breakfast food for dinner but nothing beats a couple eggs, hashbrowns, sausage, and strawberry crepes! Yummy!
I would like to start out by saying that our server was very pleasant but that was about it... We waited forever for our food to come out when there werent even a lot of people. Our toast came out cold and without butter on it. The small side serving of mashed potatoes with cheese was overpriced and so disgusting none of us could eat them. The vanilla cream on the double vanilla pancakes was repulsive. We were expecting a whipped cream, not baby vomit. And the ice cream on top was such low quality. The one good thing about this meal was the gingerbread hot chocolate, and it was overpriced too. Honestly dont want to come back here again. A waste of time and money.
This place is untouchable on the weekends. The standard is 45 minutes for a table, so knowing this, I ordered my food online for pick up. My order was supposed to be ready for 9:35am - according to my online order receipt. Knowing that the staff here is laughably under equiped, I arrived at 9:45 to pick up my food. It wasnt ready, so I waited. At 9:55 another man walked in and picked up his online order, no wait. So I asked what was going on and they said they were still waiting for my food. At 10:05 I finally got my food. No apologies offered at all. Ill never spend another dime here. And insult to injury? The pancakes tasted awful.
Our family enjoys coming to IHOP for the pancakes and steak omelet, however, it feels each time the service gets worse. Waitresses who arent friendly and who walk around like they hate their job (maybe they do). Also this last visit, they didnt even have working heat! One of the waitresses told us it was broken so only cool air comes out of the vents. Not exactly easy trying to eat with your coat on!
The food is delicious, the service was great and our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. Were excited that they will be adding gluten free options in the coming weeks as well! The mens bathroom was just slightly overcrowded. One less urinal would allow for more room at the sink, and dividers between the urinals would allow for the modisty and privacy youd expect from todays restaurants. No handicap stall here so wheelchair bound will have a hard time, as will parents with disabled kids (like myself). The only stall is just wide enough to fit one person with absolutely no room for moving around. This is the only reason that I took one star away! The bathroom was kept very clean, the paper towels were full and working (even if hung on the wall consuming extremely valuable shoulder room at the sink), the soap was full and the water was actually hot!Overall it was a great experience. After learning that they will be introducing gluten free options with cross contamination prevention, and that they WILL do glove change if you specify that you have Celiacs Desease, like my wife, I believe that we will actually be able to frequent here more often!
Worst experience. Had to get utensils from another table because we never recieved any and no one was around. Half our food never came and what did was not correct. The waitress never ever came back to our table after saying the rest of your order will be right out. Will never return. I see why cracker barrel is so busy and this place is dead.
Horrible service, and they werent even busy. Half of the restaurant was empty. They crammed everyone on one side. After waiting to be seated, we sat at our table for 10 minutes. No one came to even ask if we wanted water! Multiple waitresses, and the manager walked by, and looked at us. Would not answer us when we said excuse me maam. We prompt put our coats back on and left. Again, no one acknowledged us as we walked out.
The floors needed sweeping, the windows and walls needed cleaning. The servers kept making the customers walk through the filth, but they made no effort to clean it up. Let me guess, thats not my job! But, the servers and manager had plenty of time to stand around gossiping while ignoring me at the register to pay. Some of them looked directly at me and kept talking. Nice.
The 15 minute wait to be seated wasnt bad for a Sunday morning. However, the kitchen was very slow. It took 45 minutes to get our food after we were seated. My sons meal was warm, but, obviously, not freshly cooked. My hash browns were very overcooked and in the form of a brick. Even for me, they were inedible. There are enough other options in town for this IHOP to be placed in the not again category.
The food took 40 mins to come out. It was good but not worth the long wait especially with kids getting antsy. Our server was distracted and not very attentive. The manager was the only one who was trying to make sure our experience was somewhat satisfactory. I don’t know if I will be returning. I have been to this location twice and both times service has been very slow and disorganized
From my childhood days IHOP was always a treat! I live 50 mins away from my nearest location (this location) but omg it was worth it!! The customer service was phenomenal and the food was magnificent!! I want to travel here daily but it’s impossible 😩. I love this place and always will my family will make this place our once a week treat but I urge ALL families come out to this location for a great family breakfast! Start your memories here!!
This is my 2nd time here the first was almost 2 years ago but with the same issues... Understaffed with slow messy service but the food was hot and tasted good... Even staid hot the 5 extra minutes we had to wait for silver wear after it came out 🙄🙄 that was fun with 3 small kidsjkids having to stair at their food
Went here last night. Our food was good, correct and hot!! A HUUUGE improvement sense my last visit over a year ago....🤮 which turned me off to IHOP all together bc it was that awful. But my bf wanted to go for endless pancakes..so we went. I got a slice of stuffed french toast and the hash breakfast! Both very tasty!!! The French toast hot cocoa was good too! Very sweet though.** Also, the hostess was messing around in the back while my bf and I stood there waited to be seated. The poor waitress had to come inside from her break and tell the girl ppl were waiting and to seat us. My waitress was clearly annoyed but its understandable.
Food was ok waitress was good! If you want breakfast order at least a week in advance should be available when you get there! For entertainment order your food and watch others that come in behind you, the look of others behind you is priceless! They think the waitress forgot them!
This is my favorite IHOP! I have had a few great experiences here but today’s was one I needed to share. My father and I went to the IHOP that was closest to us on Wolf rd in Colonie and it was scary. We walked in to a waitress screaming at the cooking staff in front of all of the customers, putting her hands all in the food when told an order was wrong, and when people started to get up an leave saying that they were seated and never waited on we decided not to stay.Ever true to IHOP we went straight to Clifton Park for a second chance an oh my did they deliver! We were not even two steps into the door and a lovely young lady greeted us and sat us down, our waitress Hayley was bubbly and attentive, and the food (that came out in great time) WAS DELICIOUS! We decided we wanted to tell Hayley our story from earlier that day to let her know how wonderful she was that she turned our day right around and sure enough the manager comes out to apologize that we had a tough experience and thank us for letting them know they did a good job. He also asked us a few questions so that he could reach out to that branch manager to let him know the experience we had!Overall this IHOP gave us a such a wonderful experience I felt it needed to be shared!
Not a fan. Service was beyond slow and my order was totally wrong. Gave them an addl star since they did comp my plate. This was my third visit to this IHOP and have never been very impressed. Pro Tip: if you check in on Yelp there is a 10% off instant discount offer.
Hello I just had a terrible expirence at The ihop in clifton park. The wait was very long but thats normal for a popular breakfast place but what is not normal is how 4 other tables with the same amount of people who came after us got their food first. Also it took 15 minutes for us to just get drinks and 40 minutes for our food. So lets put that aside when we got our food there was hair on 2/4 of the meals and one of the burgers were very undercooked. All in all the service was terrible between waiting for drinks and waiting for our food. I do not recommend because no one should have to wait that long for food that should take only 30 minutes tops to recive and food that should have no hair on it. Oh and our untencils were dirty with food all over it. Never going back.
Made an opine order this morning, went to pick it up 20 minutes later to be advised the store never received it. While I sat and waited another 25 minutes for my food to be prepared no one said a word to me. There was no apology at all and I didn’t even get offered something to drink while I waited. I don’t blame the staff for IHOP’s horrible ordering system( that’s a corporate issue) however basic customer service let’s us know you should own the issue and apologize and then atleast Offer the customer something while they wait. Horrible experience and I will never return to this location.
Much, much better than the one in Albany on Wolf road. The food is good, and even at busy times I have never waited for more than five minutes for a table. One seated your order will be taken quickly, but there will be a delay between then and when your food arrives.
My family and I were there eatlier today, my burger came out bloody. Our waitress was the only one working, while other employees whose knows what they were doing. The one cook kept coming out to our waitress about 4 times abt and order, not sure exactly what, however, she went back to the kitchen and said to please stop a few times and the he started screaming and yelling and cursing. A couple left while the rest of us were like wth. Then now other workers come out of the woodwork to help. Poor waitress was so embarrased and shaken . I said where is your manager, and that this is ridiculous. Very poor management. The cook comes out to go outside and manager I guess behind him. Other employees go too. So in leaving there the manager and staff smoking....first of all cook should have been sent home on the spot and get some anger management classes, and managet should have been back in to apologize to everyone. If your management anywhere it is your responsibility. Do not ever want to return because of that. Very scary.
This review is more about IHOP, where I have loved dining for ages because breakfast at any time of the day is awesome, but about a policy of their customer service that I recently heard about.Bad service at any restaurant negates any selling point such as convenience and even good food. The wait person we had at this IHOP did her best but a dinner meal that should have taken no more than a half hour ended up being an hour and a half long experience because she and another person were the only ones there to wait on customers, which at one point peaked at eight tables while my wife and I dined. After waiting 15 minutes after our beverages were served, we almost walked out because wed already been there for almost half an hour. My 3-stack of pancakes was over cooked. My wifes pumpkin and spice pancakes were even worse. Try picturing a dry pita bread with thick molasses that tastes overwhelmingly like nutmeg and you can get the picture. She didnt even eat a quarter of it.This wasnt our servers fault. It was her first day of work. This negative experience was a result of poor resource planning (i.e., staff on hand). I dont know what possesses IHOP to implement a policy where there are not enough servers to be flexible to handle when a small surge in customers occurs. Its time to put back care and good customer service back or this chain will fall further behind the other restaurant options that serve breakfast. Rather than spending money to temporarily change the name to IHOB, spend the money on better resource management.
The food was par but the service was attrious. If the staff could put there phones down for a minute they might see 3 tables have been seated for almost 20 minutes and no one has even been over to take a drink order. We were one of the 3 tables. The staff all stood by the register with their phones out. I know there could of been an emergency but not every employee at the same time. Even the manager was jose deep in their phone! This was the 2nd time this has happened amd we will jot be back for a third time. I can understand why the parking lot is dead 99% of the time.
I got an omelette that had some avocado on top that I bit into and it didnt break. It was practically rubber. The meat in the omelette had clearly been freezer burned and the cheese was very runny. In addition to the sad omelette, the hash browns were hard, cold, and difficult to chew. The service was pretty bad, forgetting about us multiple times and unfamiliar with the menu.Would NOT recommend ever.
Picked up food I ordered over the phone and all the food was cold the drive wasn’t even far from the house about 13 minutes and then I waited 5 minutes for my food when I came in. it was the worst food I’ve ever had from ihop my order came out to $45 and nobody ate the food because it that bad . Smh never again .
Service was Great , but the food NOT .I got cold overcooked food. The hash browns were burnt on one side and mush on the other. Hard time even cutting them. Rediciculous. The fried steak on the ends was hard to chew. The eggs were COLD.OH and NO CREAMER for the coffee.I am VERY DISAPPOINTED
Been here for 30 minutes and have only just recently received our drinks. I have returned my water because of a dirty glass just to receive another water with black items floating in it. Four other tables have been heard complaining about food taking more than 40 minutes or longer and there are only 6 tables being occupied and 3 waiters on staff. Horrible experience for the second time here. Never again.
Is there a way to give 0 stars? I wish. This place is a mess! My husband and I drove there today from Queensbury very excited to spend our one day off together enjoying food we never get together. On arrival we stood at the door for just a couple minutes but then were sat at a dirty table with no silverware. Our server was on her first day and obviously was not ready to handle the floor yet. I got a hot cocoa and a soda and she assumed the other drink was for my husband so she started to walk away before we called her back to give her his drink order...then it came time to order the food. I got the omlette with the short stack of pancakes to share with my husband as dessert YET AGAIN she assumed this is all thats going to be ordered and starts to walk away so we call her back give the food orders and she leaves. Meanwhile my husbands empty glass sits at the edge of the table waiting to be filled she walked by 5 times and even came back and sat silverware down at our table. We had to ask her to refill the empty glass..... So then the food comes out. Wrong sides. So we wait another 15 minutes for those. my eggs for my omlette were dirty....which means dirty grill. The server never came back to check on us and dropped the bill for when were ready before our remade sides even came out!! I guess its not our servers fault since shes new but the manager who wasnt doing anything could have jumped in and helped instead of standing around doing nothing. Unfortunately our trip was not as planned and we will never revisit this ihop again. Also theres mold on the ceiling tiles and a couple tiles the have severe water damage...
Ordered my order to go. Spoke to the manager Keith when I placed my order over the phone he said 10 minutes itll be ready. I pull up 15 minutes later walk in explain to the hostess Im here to pick up my to go order. Clearly shes new so she starts asking around who took the to go order all of a sudden a girl comes out spazzing that she didnt take the order she knows nothing about the to go order and she needs to leave her alone. Finally after two more waitresses snapping at the girl another waitress comes over to her looks in the system and finds my order confirms it with me and explains it will be out shortly. When it finally come out everything is plastic wrapped instead of covered in their typical containers. Ok maybe they ran out of tops for them but no one cared to explain if they did or not. As I paid for it the waitress did apologize for the wait and confusion. Then when I get home the hash browns are filled with extremely hard pieces of potatoe. The eggs hash browns and bacon looked like they were literally just thrown in the container. What a mess! We will be trying Dennys next time!
If you work for GrubHub or doordash steer clear of these orders from IHOP. Especially on the weekend. It took over an hour to make one meal. I literally watched people come,i sit down, be served, pay and leave. Before I had the order ready for me to deliver. I thought I could take a simple order at 9:30 a.m. And have it done so I can be at church at 11. But instead I got to waste literally hours of my day on one delivery thanks to IHOP and their incompetence.
The food was good, but getting a table was painfully slow. Half of the tables were empty, but they were not seating anyone at them. Not the servers fault, they were clearly understaffed. The wait staff were friendly and effective, but the management is clearly lacking.
The worst service I have ever had. Waitresses were very nice, but the manager was completely unprofessional and rude. When our food was undercooked and we asked for something else, the manager got offended and said there was nothing he could do about it. Not to mention everything was freezing cold! Only here for the weekend but I would suggest going literally ANYWHERE else but here.
Waited for 15 mins at the table and no one even came to get drink orders.the restaurant was not busy at all. The waitresses were just standing around talking. After the 15 mind a group of regular costomers were seated and immediately had there drink order taken. Will not return to this ihop on account of the service.
Terrible place. Ive been here about 8 times over the past few months and every time Ive had a negative experience. You will routinely get grossly uncooked eggs, get shorted on portion size of side dishes, and they somehow always burn their hashbrowns. Additionally, the staff is amongst the worst Ive ever seen. About half the receptionist types wont even bother to greet or offer to seat you when you walk in, and several of the waitresses will take 30+ minutes to take your payment unless you get out of the booth. Also, its an IHOP, so the prices for certain things are patently absurd.Take the extra ten minutes to drive to a Dennys and save yourself the frustration of eating at this pathetic excuse for a restaurant.
My Country Fried Steak was discolored, was on the plate with the sides bent upwards a bit. Was very disgusting. My eggs were dry and cold. My pancakes were dry and my hash browns were in the shape of a brick and burnt. Everyones food at the table was disgusting and either overcooked or just didnt taste right. My dad spit out the foos I had him try from my plate. The waitress hardly checked in on us and was too occupied by her kid to do her job. If I could give no stars I would. Definitely never going back
Waitress was nice although she kept saying yall which was a little weird as it was initially you guys... everything else not so much. Food took extremely long to be prepared and they ran out of an item and did not notify until after all of the food was served. Carpets smell musty.
Not a good experience the one thing they are supposed to be good at they screwed up my pancakes were runny in the middle. The place was empty the table was sticky the floors were dirty the kitchen staff were creepy staring at us....Im giving 1 star because the waitress was really nice.
Terrible service and manner. I waited 15 minutes for a cup of coffee and as I look around there at two other couples in here not including my girlfriend and I. Food is decent but I live 45 minute away and is DEFINITELY not earth the drive. You can get this food any where.
It was busy, so I understand the long wait. But, today was easily the worst vist to IHOP. All hot items were served luke warm... Even my chocolate milk was warm. It seemed like it was sitting for a while before the waitress brought it out to me. I wont write off IHOP all together, only the Clifton Park location.
Awful service, dirty, better off going to an actual diner. Not recommended !Its like order now and get service next day !Extremely poor and extremely slow service.waited One hour to get couple shakes, have proof of it.Please move on to other places, these guys are making IHOP name bad.
Im not sure how they stay open. Took forever to get our food, food was warm-ish, small portions, incredibly expensive. $11 for an omelette the size of a remote control, $1.99 upcharge for fresh fruit instead of toast or pancakes (thatll teach me for eating something healthy). Not going back.
Spent an hour and half here for pancakes. Couldnt get order correct. Brought out meals missing items because they were out of them. Wasnt mentioned when ordered. Didnt even have clean glassware. Gave us kiddie size with a carafe of additional wrong beverage. Horrible place to eat.
Id give this place 3.5/5 stars. This was my maiden voyage patronizing any IHOP. I did so because I signed up for their email club, and the initial reward is a free Rooty Tooty breakfast (2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, and 2 pancakes topped with choice of strawberries, blueberries, or cinnamon apples and whipped cream). I was greeted by a female server whose name I didnt get, but she was a pleasant, middle-aged Italian woman with wavy black hair. The food took less than ten minutes to reach me, which I thought was fairly quick. Keep in mind, though, that I was by myself, and the restaurant was half full (9AM on a Wednesday). Their coffee is decent tasting and strong. Two small cups got me fairly wired on caffeine. The nice thing is that my server left the coffee thermos at my table, so I didnt have to ask her for more, and that was a smart move. It saved us both time and saved her effort. Overall, the food was made well, and I really liked the pancakes. Id never had them topped with anything other than syrup before, so this was like eating a dessert. The reason I deducted 1.5 stars from a perfect score is because of the prices. Yes, I had a a coupon that gave me a free breakfast minus the drink, but I wouldnt want to pay full price if I returned without a coupon. The Rooty Tooty was $7.99, and the coffee was $2.29. After tax the meal would have been $11.00 even. That is unreasonably high for breakfast at a run-of-the-mill chain restaurant. For those of you who are servers, dont worry about how I tipped the server. I left her $5, which is 45% of what the bill would have been.In conclusion, I think this is a nice place to eat if you have coupons, but for full price Id look elsewhere.
Was told 15 minutes for pick up. Got there. Was told another 10, had to wait another 25 before they came and asked my name again, and then 5 minutes later finally come out with my food. This isnt even during a busy time. Theres only about 10 other customers in the restaurant. After finally getting my food, they didnt bring any fries with my burger. And these guys wanted to change their names to iHob lol
We went to get breakfast before we bring Tommy to the doctors so we order.. Vinnie says oil be right out. We wait another 15 minutes and still no food.. now its 20 minutes to 10 and we have to leave she came out and said they dropped out order behind the grill who the f*** does something like that its the worst place Ive ever been in my life IHOP you suck you are unbelievable. I want to put no estar
Well I started working for this company three months ago to try and gain serving experience. On the day of hire I was promised a full time position and to make money however that was not the case. The manager had started me off on national pancake day which is one of the busiest and most hectic days of the year but Ive grown to love serving. My coworkers and customers were awesome but as for my manager thami he treats his workers and guests with absolute disrespect. While working there I had less than a week of training being a brand new server and on my second day off training thami had called my coworker and I useless because we were getting slammed with customers and put an order in wrong. Thami talks to his staff in a very unprofessional way and doesnt only talk but scream at us in front of guests. One night a guest had a hair in her pancake and he argued with her and said there is no way she could have a hair in her pancake because it would burn off on the grill. Thami is not only rude but he is never actually at work, sometimes he just leaves to go home and sleep and doesnt even tell us he is leaving. I can say for almost my entire time working at IHOP Thami has not been there to supervise or manage the restaurant. Ive worked in food safety before and its not sanitary that he brings food from home and makes our cook cook it for him before cooking the guests food first. Yesterday he called and asked me to get there as early as I can so I was scheduled at 1pm and got there at 12 then he proceeded to make me wait to clock on until 1. After I clocked on I began rolling my silverware so I was doing something and not nothing and he didnt like that my coworkers and I were joking around and talking while doing it so he told me to stop rolling silverware and go stand up in the front of the restaurant and wait for the tables to come in. Throughout the night he was down my back about everything and when I had told him I could not stay past my shift he screamed at me in front of the entire restaurant telling me I dont put my customers first and told me to leave and not to return, that was the point where I finally had enough!Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows I am a very hard worker and put the company first! I have never been so disrespected by a manager in my entire life. IHOP should look into the type of manager they have running their Clifton Park location.
Oh yes, my experience was indeed 5 stars if not 6. I was blown away as peered into the comforting environment known as Ihop directly after I slightly and carefully opened the welcoming glass door. Given, I was in a rather expensive batman cosplay outfit, I was treated the same as any costumer would appreciate in this cold depressing world. Let me digress, this experience was no less than the single happiest moment in my life even above my marriage and both children my wife bared. 5/5. Spread the word.
Service is absolutely horrible there were only 5 tables in the restaurant and food still took 45 minutes mind you there was only 3 of us so not like it was a big order the waitress forgot everyones toast then another waitress approached our table and said our toast would be right out and long story short nobody got their toast we were never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks so needless to say food is good if you get all you ordered but services the worst.

2022-03-31I love eating here. I’ve never had a bad experience at this iHop and the food is always great. The best is the coffee. The portions are generous, the quality is good, and there’s tons of options. The pricing is exceptional - less than 15 dollars for unlimited pancakes, some hash browns, bacon and two eggs - and definitely worth it. The waiters are always so polite. One of the last times I went they even gave me my own little coffee carafe at my table so I could refill my own cup!

2021-10-03I thought it was very good. My gluten-free waffles came out perfect, they weren’t soggy or fell apart easily which I really appreciate. My friend enjoyed her sandwich but she said it wasn’t her favorite sandwich

2022-02-12Hadnt been to an IHOP in over ten years. Even though this isnt the location my family frequented, it still was nice, felt bad that we were one of three groups dining at the time. Guess people still arent wanting to eat out. The staff was very friendly and our waitress was great. The food was good & the place clean and inviting. Would definitely go again. 👍

2022-04-17Its been awhile since I have been to an ihop. I took my 3 kids the day before Easter for brunch more of late lunch though. Our waitress was kind and attentive. The food was all really good and plenty enough for us. We had omelette, pancakes, french toast, chicken and milkshake. All good. Cost was the same or more as a full dinner out though. The restaurant was clean. I can recommend this as an overall good enjoyable spot for breakfast/ lunch and for families.

2022-03-20It has been some time since Ive been here, and the food is just as good as it was the last time. I ordered an omelet and was pleased that it was a decent size. The service was excellent as well.

2022-02-13Its typical IHOP fare. They have a number of items at reduced prices from 3pm to 9 making it a filling decent tasting meal for the same price as a burger place or other fast food but instead you have something more like a regular meal. Makes it better than average

2021-03-16I was staying at a local hotel traveling home with my family and we stopped in here for breakfast because the hotels breakfast not for me. I ordered the creme bule pancakes I also had 2 eggs over medium I have to say the whites were cooked perfectly my husband enjoyed strawberry and banana crepes the baby had the silver 5. I eldest child had some fun fetti pancakes they were actually called the cupcake pancakes which actually they were filled with icing and was totally sugary but my daughter enjoys those type of things I have to say everything here was absolutely delicious. Best part was when my server was more than willing to wash out the babys sippy cup to put her Apple juice in it for me. Thank you very much for such a lovely time.

2022-03-22My food came it looked better then it tasted. The bacon was like chewing rubber. Eggs got cold so fast plus the home fries. Pancakes alittle doughy tasting.
