We arrived to the place being half empty (if not more than half empty) and were told by the hostess we need to wait 5 minutes before being seated because the servers were too busy... absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable.
The service was excellent and all the orders correct and tasty
Too much expensive I di order veggie omlate,with onion and tomato ,they charge me 19 dollars for that,even I have to pay for breads. Common its ripoff

Was there last week, food was good. Our waiter was great but the place is very understaffed. Those that are their should not be. Walked into the bathroom and saw two employees go into the same stall and smoke coming out the top. The hostess were more concerned with talking to each other than helping customers. The manager needs to get their act together.
I came in the other day I had the nicest waitress. Jess made sure my order was correct and made the whole family laugh with her jokes! She deserves recognition!
Food was ok, but the service was not. All of the other tables in our area came, ate and left before our server, Judy, remembered to come check on us. Waited 30 minutes for her to bring a box for leftovers and the bill when half of the section was empty.

Though I have had many great experiences at this Ihop, I must unfortunately utilize this platform to express my dissatisfaction with my last few meals. The waitress did not provide waters for us after asking multiple times. When she finally came with the waters half way through our meal, she throws the straws on the table. I do not know if she felt this was acceptable because we are teenagers however, I personally work in the food service industry and I know for a fact thats unacceptable and every customer should be treated with an equal respect. Regardless, as we are paying, we receive our check with each meal marked down twice then the price halved. What is the purpose of that? We leave a $10 tip on a $95 meal between 6 people after collectively agreeing we were unhappy with the service. The manager runs out after us saying it was not enough and the waiter only makes $8 an hour. Well I make $7.50 an hour treating customers with respect. She hassles us down in the parking lot and we pay her more. Tips do not go by the recommended amount if the service is not on par. This will definitely be the last time I go to Ihop.
Food and service were great. Prices went up but thats everywhere. Still tough to pay over 4 bucks for 3 pieces of extra bacon
The staff here is great the food is right away and if you come here tip well they deserve it.
The workers were very nice. The food was delicious. IHOP always has that pleasant feel when I walk in. Small size but adequate for the amount of people. Clean, well staffed, friendly- Overall impressed.

Horrible. Discontinued boysenberry syrup…. Took 30 min for our food to come after ordering. Never asked how my daughter wanted her burger and it came out well done…. Wait staff is supposed to ask ALWAYS with a burger. Brought out ZERO SURUP for the pancakes she paid extra for…. Ate them DRY before anyone came over to our table because I asked for a manager… my eggs Benedict came out with HARD BOILED YOLKS (disgusting) when e regime knows eggs Benny is served with RUNNY POACHED EGGS ALWAYS. Asked for it to be removed from billAnd a take out container for my daughters food and it’s now been an additional 10 min and had to ask them to correct the bill yet again as they didn’t remove my entire order and still haven’t gotten take out container. POORLY MANAGED, poor service and the worst kitchen staff on the planet. Never eating here again ( and I didn’t get to eat her now). Devastating experience. Will not return. Ps no ketchup on table and no one came over to ask if everything came out alright to ask for any. Had to steal it off another table. Unreal
Fabulous breakfast as always...Not so happy paying $2.99 eachfor a cup of tea or a glass of cola.Not often that I treat myself to a$22.00 breakfast...however satisfaction was guaranteed.
This IHOP is one of my favorites here! There bacon is so crispy and has so much flavours combined into it. The crepes are delicious and also has delicious pancakes. But the only time I would come there would be at breakfast time.
Food was as expected. This IHOP gets a 1 star because our server Ursula just left in the middle of serving us she didn’t even say she was giving us to a co worker or anything I guess her shift was over but still..I’m a server myself and I would never start a table and not wait for the table to pay and leave before I leave. I over heard her saying to a coworker “tell Greg(the manager I guess) I said bye” I guess that was her goodbye to us lol looked to my right outside the window and I see her speeding out of the parking lot I suppose she had something more important to do.
Ive been going here since I was a kid and just recently this morning took my girlfriend there. Service was absolutely fantastic. Firm standards on Covid policies too! Our experience was so pleasant mainly due to Amandas service and clear stance on customers being able to have a safe dining experience. The service was incredibly speedy and the food was amazing. Coming back, always! Big thanks to Amanda!
I feel like family every time I’ve been there! It was great to be able to get back and sit at a table! The severs treat everyone as if they are the most important people who they have ever seen! Andy is so pleasant always makes me feel at home! The food is great and always prepared perfectly. Don’t miss the opportunity to be treated to a wonderful dining experience!

Had a nice time at IHOP. Waitress was very nice and food was tasty. Only knock was that there was a little miscommunication between the staff, and a coffee mug that needed to be cleaned a little better. Honestly, not huge deals, but worth mentioning.
Fast and friendly for a Saturday morning. Seated right away. Didnt feel rushed. Nice and clean. Plenty of staff. Food was yummy. No complaints from my son and I!

Great attention from the moment that you open the door until when you are leaving. Greeting you as soon as you walk in, saying thank you when you are done and thank you from everybody that works there that you come across on your way out. I have to mention all these details because it is not that common in many other places. The waiter was excellent as well and food was delicious. Thank you to all who work at this ihop location. I appreciate the way you treat your costumers.
Two weekends in a row I gave them a try by placing a to-go order. Two weekends in a row it was not ready on time and they forced me to wait in a densely packed area with no social distancing. I do not recommend coming here again until the pandemic is over and even then expect to wait 30 to 40 minutes for it to go order.
Food was on point. Came out nice and hot. Service was impeccable! Managers Andy & Ellen and servers Maddie & brother Will can never be replaced. They are the best!!
IHOP has excellent offerings for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Of course the pancakes are terrific. The egg combos, french toast and waffles equally good.We just stopped in for a quick dinner. I had an excellent very generous omelette from a broad selection. My wife had a burger with onion rings which was very good.They also have a broad offering of other entries.The service is business like and efficient. The pricing very reasonable. There were families, and couples of all age groups
Our food was amazing and we were seated right away, however, our server completely ignored us. Our server, Christina, was attentive to all of her other tables and left us stranded. We continuously tried to get her attention because we needed drinks and she walked back and forth to tend to everyone else. I’m still currently waiting for our drinks, we have been sitting about 35 minutes eating and she never came back to check on us.
The IHOP staff was extremely nice, quick service, and clean restaurant. Our only problem was with the hashbrowns. They were very overcooked, flirting with burnt. The waffle also had black speckles on it. Overall nice experience food could have been cooked better.
We had breakfast here for my 20 + time while some friend came to visiting. The servers here are just wonderful and have great burgers it seems. We sat on the front table and our coffee along with our delicious breakfast was just great fast service and clean great atmosphere, they see a mistake on my pancakes and immediately they fix the issue, we will come back soon. Great place to eat in he neighborhood.
Food was great when it finally came. We went on a Sunday morning which I get is busy time however we had been there about 45 minutes and saw table that we same size party or larger (we were only 3) that came after us get there food. After being patient for a while I caught the attention of our server and ask if she knew how much longer itd be. In the middle of asking she looked completely annoyed and said itll be out and walked away. I know its not the servers that have control of food coming out but good servers come by and let you know and check on you. We finished our drinks well before I asked her. Thats bad. Bad service, and bad management for not coming around and seeing whats going on. After the food came she never checked on us again except to bring the check and try to rush us out. Luckily the manager was pleasant as he rang us but did not salvage the experience. Not worth 12 bucks for pancakes.
I love IHOP!! The food is always delicious. The servers are always nice and helpful. I love all the varieties of food you can have and the side orders. My Mom got the turkey dinner under the age 55+. The turkey was so moist, the potatoes were delicious and so was the gravy. I love the 2x2x2 dishes. Where you get a little of everything. IHOP makes the best pancakes around. You cant beat the desserts too. 😋😊
Visited IHOP at the Commack location at around 6:15 pm on Monday night. The waitress took 35 mins to bring us 3 glasses of water and 1 Pepsi. She did not acknowledge us after that. We waited for 1 hour and as we were getting ready to walk us the manager came over and said to give him 5 more minutes. He said he was going to take something off the bill for the inconvenience but NEVER did. Poor customer service.
First of all after a lengthy waiting period,i got my eggs ,sausage and hash browns ( which tasted rancid ) without my toast . With a side of bacon and a seltzer 18. Which was well spent so i remember never to stop in a ihop again.
Coffee is like water, very weak. Our 10 minute wait was closer to a half hour and a group was allowed to pull up and jump into the outdoor seating without going onto the wait list
Its great when not busy. If busy dont stay food will not be the same AT ALL
The people who arrange the sitting needs proper training. They did not know what they where doing. The waitress was nice. The food quality has gone down .
The food is delicious and the breakfast is as good as you can expect it. The staff are very good and helpful as well as quick with their service. Their menu is full of great selections and they even have specials that make the food seem even more delicious because of the money you save for the quality of food. The staff are also very patient and knowledgeable. It is always packed so its important to get there early so you can reserve a table. I found their coffee to be delicious also which is a very important thing to have in a breakfast place like IHOP. They have a nice selection of syrup to put on your pancakes or waffles. It is worth a visit and they have a kids menu as well so it is perfect to take your family to and have breakfast together.
We have been going to this IHOP at least once a week for years. The food is fantastic, always hot and cooked to our specifications ( we always tweak the menu slightly and the staff is always very accommodating.)The restaurant is clean, well maintained and nicely decorated. The wait staff, host staff, and mangers are always friendly and welcoming.The only downside might be that it has such a great reputation there can be a 30 minute wait for a table on a weekend morning --- but trust me, it is well worth the wait!
First time back in a while and it was a great experience. Good foodand quick service. Would go again!
This IHop has been here for over 30 years and is still owned and managed by this wonderful Man. He is always friendly and always doing for his Guests. The food anything you decide on, is Always the Best and Always on a consistent basis. Definitely a Place to eat and never be disappointed that you decided to eat here !!!!!

The food is delicious and service is quick. Practice caution when coming here with celiac disease, they include pancake batter in the normal omelettes. Ask for an egg white one and youll be fine. Be careful with ingredients, the ham might be dangerous for those with gluten allergies.
The food is okay, the servers are good. Unfortunately the several times I’ve eaten there, they seem to have a sewerage/bathroom problem. A terrible smell engulfs the dining area, and they pretend like it’s not there. After the first time, I thought it was some temporary issue. It is not. Not something you want to experience while eating your meal.
Food was great, however, service was terrible! We were sat at table and a girl took our drink order but a guy took over the table and he did not give us any time of day. No waters, no refills on drinks, we had to constantly get up to ask for things we needed like ketchup and sweet and low. Its sad. If service was good I would have given 5 stars.

Service is truly with a SMILE.They triple authorized my card.I am waiting over a week for my bank to drop the extra $100 hold they put on my card. 2/12. NOT Cool.
On 12/23/20, in the evening, the pancakes were absolutely disgusting. Service was great but the chef must be new because the food was horrendous. Will now frequent a NEW location.
I have been here dozens of times and have not had a bad experience. We are always seated quickly and the staff is friendly. I had an item from the dinner menu and was a little disappointed but with breakfast items, they shine.
We were visiting from Cincinnati and brought our adult children for breakfast on a busy Saturday. We saw many employees still there from years ago and were warmly greeted by the owner Andy! The food was delicious, service pleasant and efficient! We saw many new places in the area but cant imagine any could match the family friendly atmospherethat is still present at this IHOP! Will be back when we are in town!
Breakfast always good here. Whether you get the omelette or pancakes, it is delicious comfort food. The hash browns are the best(get them well done). Good coffee. Great service!
I can eat breakfast anytime of the day. So wed alternate between Friendlys down the street and this place after the kids sports activities. Give me coffee and a stack of pancakes and Ive good. :)Over the years the waiters/waitresses have turned over, but for the most part, the service is still pretty good. The food is prepare well. I have noticed the last few times Ive come in, its taking them longer to get the food to you. They used to be a ot better with that.They have two dining rooms, the one in the back is where they tend to put the families and larger groups. It can get a little loud back there if there are young kids...personally i prefer the quieter front area.The parking situation here had always been a problem, especially with the weekend crowds. But its better now that they expanded the lot in the back.This place is packed on the weekends around breakfast time, so if you go at that time expect a wait in the narrow cramped waiting area.
Its IHOP! Whats not to love? Ive been going here for the last several years. The staff is awesome, attentive and efficient. Everyone has their act together. Ive never had a bad meal. They are busy at times but they seat people very quickly.
The IHOP is a tried-and-true staple for hot meal and friendly service. This particular one in Commack is especially good. The wait staff are excellent, the food is always hot and accurate to whats requested. And if in the rare instance they make a mistake, its fixed immediately and often with a concession of a free beverage or something. Been going here for over 20 years... Good people good food... Always leaving happy.
Came here Saturday morning. Decent waiting, maybe 4 minutes. Large parking lot. Place is clean and staff friendly. The girl who took care of us was friendly and nice. Ihope standard food.
Had a big order for pickup and they forgot to include one item. They said they didnt do refunds so they got our information and said that they would give us a free item at our next visit. We went the next day, conveniently, that they had no record of our conversation. Im never going back.
We stopped here for lunch and I got the classic cheese burger intro deal. The black Angus burger with unlimited fries and soft drink for $6.99. Fantastic deal while it lasts! The burger was excellent and the thin cut fresh cut french fries (skins on) were also fantastic. I had not been to an IHOP for years but they have a valid claim for changing to IHOb. Burgers, not just pancakes.
Good food, inattentive server. We told him we were in a rush and he was too aloof. He was surprised when we asked for the check when he brought the entrees, as if we didnt make it clear we were in a rush...
The services here were great, u weren’t waiting for a really long time. But the food was cold and the bacon wasn’t burnt enough. But otherwise it’s a great restaurant!

Excellent breakfast. Giant omelets that will keep you full for hours. Under construction but you will hardly notice. New floors, tables, booths and more. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
The food was what youd expect from Ihop. Got the Colorado omelette and my son got the 2x2x2. Pancakes were rubbery and slightly old tasting even though hot? The bacon was perfect. Odd considering they got the pancakes so wrong and even the scrambled eggs were almost dripping with either grease or butter and had an strange after taste. Next the Omelette, was very on point, all the meats well cooked, eggs fluffy and good amount of cheese. Overall a very hit and miss meal. Also the kids menu is missing from the regular menu now. They have it on the backside of the kids drawing kit they give you if you have a child. I didnt get the thing till after I ordered and didt notice it till halfway through the meal, just assuming they removed the kids menu flat out, and I kind of feel like they were hiding it. Would have been nice to see up front as the bill for those two things and an OJ was 40 with tip... 4 plain pancakes, 2 scrambled eggs, 2 strips of bacon, 1 omelette. Thats a little rough for that quality of food. 3 stars only because the staff was ultra friendly to my lil guy. I

This was my 1st time in a restaurant since covid. Alittle nervous to eat inside, but my friend said shed eaten in there already and everything was up to code...it was clean and all precautions were met..food was so good!!!
Ive been eating at this IHop for 40 years and ive never been disappointed. I only get a short stack of pancakes ( now my kids get the same thing too!) And they are perfect every time. I know they have a lot of other things on the menu but if you want pa cakes, why would you get them anywhere besides the International House of PANCAKES?
You can never go wrong with IHOP. The staff is very friendly, with fast service.The food is always delectable!Every time weve been there it has been an amazing dining experience!!!
One of the worst IHOPs in Suffolk county for sure! From dirty tables to dirty cups, plates and atmosphere. I was surprised to see such a low standard for an iHop. I thought the company forced all franchises to maintain a similar standard. The coffee and the food was served cold and tasteless, after a 40 mins wait time. Definitely a waste of time and money

Who doesnt love IHOP?Brings me back to the days of my youth when I used to stumble in with a hangover the size of Arizona, and walk out a new man.This particular location has an extremely nice and accommodating staff.
Food was great however we had a bad waitress who took forever to give me a refill kept ignoring us , the tells the manager we gave her a small tip & the manager comes up to me saying I should leave her more tip cause she only wins minimum wage , I then tell her her service was horrible & how she expected a good tip ? .... ridiculous
The Good: The place was clean and the service was attentive.The Bad: Theyre hiding butter which had turned rancid inside the lingonberry butter for the Swedish pancakes. YUCK, ruined my breakfast bit.
Well the name says everything simply the BEST pancakes anywhere. Today we tried the Country Fried Steak with mashed and spinach, delicious. But very glad my daugter (on leave from NJYCA)had nutella pancakes.
Having their Belgian pancakes have proven to me that IHOP is great at what they do, hence living up to the expectation. Im satisfied with their product and friendly customer service.
This isnt the old IHOP. A great new menu with plenty to choose from, pancakes hamburger, steaks, crepes. When you leave you leave feeling full not broke. The service was outstanding and friendly.

The food was the typical IHOP menu, so the food was as expected. However, at the time of my visit (Easter 2018) the interior was going through a remodel and made my overall rating go down. There was exposed drywall and joint compound in the front dining room. In the front doorway there were exposed studs and a rusty wire (like a metal coat hanger) sticking out of the top of the doorway about 4 inches down, if any one over 6 foot came through the door their head would have been scraped! Luckily we were sat in the rear dining room so we didn’t have to eat next to exposed drywall.
IHOP is good for some breakfast or brunch with your friends and family. Good service and the food is satisfying. I always go with chicken and waffles, worth it every time.

This is the IHOP-PIEST of all the Maisons Internationale du Crepes that Ive been to. Twice the size of the A-frame IHOPS Ive never waited long for a seat at their busy times. Staff is friendly and helpful and the food never disappoints. Big thumbs up!
Waitress was attentive but a little forgetful or very slow responding to requests. Extra napkins and sugar for coffee needed to be requested twice...napkins were received in less than 30 seconds...but sugar took a few minutes and needed a reminder...
Ended up having a waitress named Joni, she was an absolute sweetheart and made our time there a lot of fun.

Went to this restaurant today and was told 10 minute wait which was actually 20 then sat down for another 8 minutes without being acknowledged from wait staff so got up and left, told owner service was terrible and he didn’t seem concerned at all. Probably time he sell because he’s become indifferent to the situation.
Its been awhile since I dined at this particular IHOP location but I remember it being ... about the same as any other IHOP location! :-)BREAKFAST - Delicious pancakes (of course!). Waffles, blintzes, crepes, french toast, omelets, etc.LUNCH - Burgers, sandwiches, salads, etc.DINNER - Roast turkey, chicken fried steak, sirloin steak tips - all served with sides like corn, broccoli, and mashed potatoes. (i.e. Comfort Food!)

I liked food and service here. It was my fist experience in IHOP and they created a lot of positive memories. Id like to visit here again.
Great food and great service at a reasonable price. This neighborhood place in Commack is very popular. There is usually a wait for breakfast so arrive early to beat the crowd.
Always consistent food but service is at best fair. Numerous requests to get a refill on coffee. Needed a flag to get our check
Love IHOP my favorite is the harvesting green pancakes which I always get a fried egg on top service is always amazing Saturdays and Sundays morning quite crowded but worth the wait will always go back to IHOP in Commack the best IHOP in our opinion
I hop is I hop always good but only problem is breakfast for 4 people shouldnt come up to $75.00 plus tip ... that could by breakfast 2 weeks for 4 people.
Went mid-day, wasnt crowded, was seated right away. Servers were friendly, kind, and professional. Fire alarm went off mid meal, they comped our beverages.
I have been to a lot of IHOP locations, but this one is the best to visit all the time, the owner and the whole staff treat you like close friends and are always so efficient to help you, it is a real pleasant experience to eat here

Eating there is a good experience but ordering food to pick up is horrible. Why is a non English speaking person even answering the phone? Smh. Only to pick up a different order. On top of that, they do nothing to satisfy the customer after they screwed up. Come on!

I always go to this house of pancakes and the service is always good. The food comes quickly and its hot and the customer service is great. I highly recommend is House of Pancakes

Well spaced out, comfortable with how they are social distancing. Staff friendly to patrons but one staff member particularly rude to other staff.

Had the big breakfast. It was really good. Service was fast and accurate.
Love the food, the service was a little shabby. No silverware until I asked for it, food actually came before I asked. Water glass emptied, has to ask for that also.
Night manager/Server tonight (Regina D.) was a very lovely, kind lady. Cannoli pancakes were amazing!!!

The IHOP on Commack was just refurbished and looks cleaner and better. The food os good and the service was also good, as are tje prices. Pretty good value.
I pick up a lot of doordash deliveries from this location. The orders are always ready to go on time and never have a problems with missing items.

Been going to the IHOP on Jericho in Comac for over two years this last visit was one of the worst I found hair in my food and I was overcharged for coffee I didn’t drink and to make it even worse I even tipped my server I will not be returning to this location ever again

2021-07-28Great breakfast. You just can’t go wrong with ihop. I ordered the pancake combo with chocolate chip pancakes and sunny side up eggs with bacon and hash browns.Everything was perfect. Eggs delicious hash brown fresh and crispy. Bacon was crispy and fresh as well.The chocolate chip pancakes were super fluffy and perfect texture. IHOP really hit it out of the park. Place was very busy but the service was excellent.Also ordered the steak tips and eggs. The steak was cubed nicely. It was cooked with delicious white onions with mushrooms. Perfectly medium temperature. A must try!IHOP is a safe bet. With amazing people working here.

2022-06-07Had breakfast with my mom this morning. Greeted promptly upon entry, clean facility and very attentive waiter (Greg) was gracious and made sure we enjoyed our dining experience. I had the Blueberry French Toast Combo that came with 4 triangle french toast pieces, eggs, bacon or sausage and hash browns.

2020-09-09My IHOP experience here was amazing! It has a very cozy feel to it since its a bit on the smaller side. Their bathrooms are also very well kept and the coworkers are nice as well! There are people that can speak Spanish here. I think this place is more fit for smaller families as the tables arent as big. The food was also amazing here. I ordered the spinach and mushroom omelette!

2022-03-06The service was slow because they were having a staffing issue. One table got up and left. But the owner is very nice and apologetic and kept checking on us. How you handle bad situations is whats important and I give them credit for acknowledging the problem. They even gave us the other tables food to take home since it was cooked and would have gone to waste anyway, so we have chicken fingers for lunch tomorrow.

2022-02-04Usually busy during breakfast time. Felt a bit congested. Good breakfast menu. However slow service. Found one of the waiters mocking us and cracking joke in Spanish with other customers. They seemed like someone they know since special attention was being given to them and the manager came to greet them himself.Do not try the tea as it’s nothing but hot water. Coffee and shakes are good . The quality also is very good so you might want to wait before ordering more than one item.

2022-02-16Extremely disappointing meal. Came out just warm eggs had crust which I dont like. Took meal back for a new meal. Meal only reheated and eggs still crusty. That was one of the most expensive breakfast meals on the menu. Waitress did the best she could. Never will go to this Ihop again
