My dad was reluctant to use a moving company for our trip to NY from Long Island E but thankfully Impress Movers did a great job by giving us the right figures. I don’t wanna sound a penny pincher but David’s quote was amongst the lowers of all five we had selected. They were very timely, efficient and professional. All our things were packed up so nicely and padded with Styrofoam. The office staffs and the moving guys carried good communication and the move was over even before we knew it. Totally recommend Impress and their impressive services.
I used Impress Moving for a long distance move from the Bronx, NY to Winston Salem, NC and they did an AWESOME job! They took very good care of my furniture and made sure everything was quick and easy. The guys were so efficient and although I had to pay a little extra for wrapping my TV and Mirror it was worth it to have it packed by professionals. My delivery arrived in 4 days which still keeps them in their delivery window and the delivery crew put back together my bed and dining room table.I give Impress Moving an A+ and will definitely recommend them to anyone who needs a moving company.
Ive had some AWFUL experiences with movers in the past, so I was hesitant to hire a moving company again. But in an effort to save our backs & time, we decided to go with Impress moving.Man, what a great decision it was. Lashay was professional & swift in making our two-part reservation and even called the day before the move to confirm everything with me. SO great! On moving day the movers were actually 15 minutes early!! They got to work and quickly and finished the first part of the job in about two hours! Then we headed to the second location which was quite a bit more challenging--really tight entry way, big furniture and they did it with a smile. When we got to our new house, they unloaded everything and even reassembled and set up the bed frame without us asking! When they were done, they asked, What else can we help you with? instead of Is that it? They look you in the eye and shake your hand. These little touches really make the difference. This is the only moving company Ill ever use in the future & will sing their praises to all my friends.
Used them for a complex move and couldnt be happier. This isnt my first time using Impress. My first time was August 2017 moving from Port Washington to Little Neck. This time it was a little more complex. I moved 2 houses in Queens to a single house in Port St. Lucie Florida. The first house was packed by Impress and stored for 2 months in their warehouse. The 2nd house was packed by Impress and moved immediately down to Florida. We were packed on July 22, 2019 and delivery was on July 25, 2019. House number 1 was delivered on Saturday August 10th, 2019.All items were accounted for, and there was no damage to anything. I was really impressed with how they packed the first house. The overdid the paper to protect the items.Impress handled everything from the packing (not a SINGLE box was packed) to the loading and unloading. The most difficult thing that I had to do was sign paperwork and go to the bank and get money. Why did I have Impress pack my items? Because of insurance reasons. My new homeowners policy covers all of my items for replacement if damaged, lost, or stolen during my move. But... The moving company has to pack it. Same for Bakers moving insurance. One thing I would change: Paperwork - theres a survey that I was given before the end of the loading on either house. I think thats something that should be held to the end of the job. Otherwise, I really couldnt have had a better moving experience.
These guys are awesome. Highly recommend them! They were prompt to respond to my inquiry, responsive throughout the entire process, very friendly and professional during the entire move.On the day of the move, I was given a two hours window for their arrival. About 15 minutes after the start of the hour window, I received a text apologizing for the delay (they werent even late!) and telling me that they would arrive in about ten minutes. David, Mike, and Kith showed up exactly 10 minutes later as I had been told. They quickly and professionally took everything down two awkward staircases and packed everything into the truck, wrapping furniture when necessary.Once we arrived at the new apartment, they made they unloading look like a breeze. We did a quick walk through upstairs so they knew where to drop the furniture and then they got to work. Everything was taken up two flights of stairs and unloaded within 30 minutes of our arrival at the new place. I found it very refreshing that they really put the customer first and didnt take their time to draw out the move to try and charge more money. Definitely recommend these guys, and will use them again for any moves I have in the future!
We took a chance on Impress Movers despite the very limited amount of reviews we could find online. We were pleasantly surprised with Impress Movers when we used them to relocate from New York to Austin. Out of all of the candidates, Impress Movers gave us the most affordable quote and even threw in a free moving kit (20 med/large boxes, bubble wrap, packing paper, tape gun) for booking with them 2 weeks in advance of our move. Our relocation specialist was responsive whenever we had questions, and the movers themselves worked pretty quickly (cleared out our 1 bedroom apartment in a little under an hour). The movers even managed to arrive at our new home 2 days before the quoted arrival date. Overall, we had a positive experience, though there are some fees (long-carry fees, shuttle fees, stairs fees, etc.) that could have been brought up sooner in the discussion. That said, these dont apply to everyone (only the stairs fee was applicable to us)--and even with the additional fee, our total was less than everyone elses quoted price.
IMPRESS DOES ANYTHING BUT!I thought I did it all correctly. I investigated the company online and did not see any complaints. I was moving from NY and needed a company to pack my whole house up in a timely manner. We had the company come out and do an estimate from a walk through so we would not have any hidden fees or surprises for underestimating the amount of stuff to move. We got a quote with a written estimate and we were set to move...not so fast.On the day of our move, the movers showed up with four movers when we were supposed to have 6. We were moving from a four floor house with over thirty years worth of accumulated clothes, furniture, etc. At first, things were going well and the movers were doing great job packing. After several hours of packing it became apparent that the four men they sent would not be able to pack this house in one day and the truck sent would not fit all our belongings. The foreman on the job called impress to send over a bigger truck or second truck and he was flatly told no Once the truck they had was filled, the four movers left. Only problems was we still have entire floors worth of boxes and other personal belongings that needed to be moved and an entire floor worth of belongings that needed to be packed....before the morning when the closing on our house was to happen. And thats when the real nightmare started. After packing the uhaul we had to rent, (after spending the night packing boxes)it became apparent that everything would not fit so off again I went to uhaul to get a van for the rest of our belongings. Please dont forget: WE HAD A WRITTEN ESTIMATE AND IMPRESS DID A WALK THROUGH AND DOCUMENTED EACH AND EVERY POSSESSION TO BE BE MOVED.One the van was packed, it was still apparent that all our belongings would not fit. Our only options were: leave our stuff on the front lawn and hope it didnt rain or get taken or beg the neighbor to let us put our stuff in his garage for a few days. Luckily option B worked. ( Just to be clear, I had to rent a third uhaul vehicle to retrieve that stuff a few days later but Ill spare you that story)The next day impress shows up at my new house with the same crew who loaded the first truck. Fortunately, the move in went a bit smoother. I did have to hire a team to unpack the rented truck and van but uhaul conveniently had a sticker in the truck for helpers so I will give them five stars on their review since they were nothing but helpful. As you might imagine, this is not what I had in mind when moving. After contacting impress and threatening with suing them for totally screwing this up, a representative from the company told us they would do whatever it takes to make this right. Whatever it takes turned out to be a payment of approximately half of what it cost me to rent three trucks, several helpers, tolls, gas, moving supplies, and several broken items. What could not be paid for was my aggravation and hours of labor packing up a house in the hot sun, all the while worrying that we would not meet our deadline to be out of the house.Moving is always difficult but does it really need to be this difficult? I think not.
I went through Impress Moving for a cross country move. It was a terrible experience. Our boxes and furniture were delivered over 10 days later than the guaranteed delivery by date. The communication was weak on their part, the boxes were wet when they were delivered, and we lost a few things. They put stickers on all of our things during pick up, but when being dropped off there were boxes that weren’t ours that had the same stickers. So we had to open up a bunch of boxes of other peoples to make sure they weren’t ours. Don’t use impress moving, it’s not worth the money.
This is SCAM. This movers will give you an estimation of low and on the date of moving they create a situation where you will be paying more than what your initial estimation is.you notice that they all have reviewed Impress companies and given 5 stars. This is bogus. They are padding the 5 star reviews. This company is a scam along with the reviews. They will give you an estimate that is low, then charge you more once your stuff is on the truck. This was my first hand experience.Read the reviews from Sam S. and Mike Miller and Candice.I was exactly in the same boat. they broke my bed and I was told to open a claim for compensation. When opened a claim for broken bed, they only offer 10% of the cost of bed as a compensation, this is ridiculous. I was literally fighting with them for original cost of my bed. Before moving they talk like professional but after moving the way they treat the customer is pathetic. Find a reputable moving company not IMPRESS.If I have an option to choose -5, then I would choose that.
Quoted 580 ended up paying 1400 lol. Extra charge for all mattresses, lamps, etc (and I told them I had these furnitures but no they did not tell me there are going to be extra charges),extra charge for long distance (as in they had to park the truck right around the corner of my building not in front) and extra charge for this and that. It was already moving day. What else can I do but give them the money? I wasnt able to find another moving company on time. So yeah, I had no choice. The movers were polite, strong, and fast. But some of my furniture came bented and nail loose. Worst was that they were not bent or loose enough for me to complain to them.
Eric was very accommodating and after sending pics of what I need moved he gave me a very good quote. I1 k less than anyone else. However, by the time everything I wanted moved was done the price came out about 1200 more. My first paid move and realize didnt review the list close enough. Louis the man in charge jotted down every item. Also did not quite fully understand price based on area-- wanted a shelf moved and it didnt weigh 10 lbs. and asked the price was $90. Louis did work w me and included a rocking chair in the $90. Finally, when tipping I gave $ 100 tip as was told by Eric it wasnt mandatory and thought it was generous for my budget. Thought lLouis was going to start crying--increase the tip eventually $70 and he seemed to b semi- satisfied. Makes me wonder if these men r getting paid a fair wage. My final bill was close to 4K not 2300. The guys were good workers and African American driver was cordial. Louis was accountable of utenms and labor however could help but to feel i was being had. Took pics of items but I think what happened was if 2 items in pic only one counted. Ill not make this mistake again. Main suggestion is be very thorough w pics and and inventory being presented in the estimate. Lastly, asked for ac to b moved but it was left behind w moving blanket nearby.
Guys, moving are already stressful but we lived in modern era where everything is at our finger-tip. No matter how far we are going, it is very difficult to boxed-up our stuff and shipped to a new location. However, we have moving companies like Impress for helping customers to shift their belongings. The team members are capabile to plan the move, pack and unpack items and ensure that the customer safely receives all of their belongings, even offering insurance in the event of damage or loss. Thanks to the great relocation specialists team who are professionally trained, willing to take any job and handle all kind of moves.
Last month I came to know that I had to shift from Brooklyn to Pittsburgh office. Since, I haven’t dealt with any moving company before; I searched on Google and found Impress team, reliable for work. I asked for quotations online and they sent me whole details within 10 minutes. Moving rates were affordable and all my belongings were delivered carefully. A+ service.
Finding means of transportation in a new place is a tiresome task. When I want to shift, my major focus is to put everything in boxes. It is the time to realize the separation between important and unimportant stuff. We cannot carry everything, so only the necessary things need to be transferred, though unpacking is a mess too. One of my friends suggested me to hire Impress movers for completing the job. Really, they are professionals and value their client’s money. They did a complete job on-time, without any hassles. Just make a call and they will be at your home right away.
From day one when I was originally quoted, the guy was in my house less than 5 minutes, rushing through my questions. Day of the move ended up paying more money because of the questions that weren’t answered correctly but I own up to that error (lesson learned). My MAJOR issue was when my things arrived at my location after going through everything I realized I’m missing some things. The next couple of weeks were a nightmare, items were never returned.Best advice I can give count your boxes before the leave with your stuff or just choose another carrier. ****Horrible Experience ****
Everything is great about Impress Moving and Storage! This is the ONLY Company we would trust for the commercial move. We already had 6 moves with them, not once there has been any issue. They are simply the BEST! Affordable, punctual, polite and careful. A huge thank you to the whole team for peace of mind :)
They are real experts of moving. Thanks to the Impress mover’s skilled members who were well trained in transferring the valuable and expensive goods. They were coordinating, kind and worked in a team for completing the job carefully. The move ended up well on an expected duration without any concerns.
If I could give them negative stars, I would.. I have nothing good to say about them. They try to charge you hidden fees and charge you for extra expenses when youve already paid for everything. They dont deliver when theyre supposed to. They broke furniture when they picked it up. They left their garbage from packing tape, etc in our yard. Still waiting for furniture to be delivered that was supposed to arrive a week ago. Save yourself the money and headache and go elsewhere.
I wonder if this company is scam. They called me the day before the original scheduled move to tell me that they cannot pick up or move until the next week. And then yesterday they told me that they would pick up today from 4pm to 7pm and would call me an hour in advance. It is almost past the time. Now neither have they called me nor did they pick up my calls. I’ve already paid 60% of my move which is $800 and I don’t even know if I would ever get the service.
SOLID team! They all had a smile and positive attitude through the whole move & they exceeded all of our expectations!! We have used this company twice to help us and both times they have been great. Excellent customer service and very polite as well as extremely careful with everything they are moving or packing. Both groups of guys that have helped us have been very professional and attentive. I 100% recommend this company and will definitely keep them in mind for any future needs.
Terrible experience!! Hidden fees i was told they would waive the additional fee to go up 2 flights of stairs then after they have my stuff and charged me more they say that the can not waive the fee and there is an additional shuttle fee to complete the delivery. And of course the person who i spoke to is unavaible. STAY AWAY!

2021-12-01I was very happy with the moving service. They gave me a biding price, and stuck to it. Everything was included. The movers arrived on time. Wrapped everything well, delivered on the day and time they agreed. No damages, and the crews were very professional and a pleasure to work with. The office staff were easy to communicate with, they followed up dillegently. All in all, I was very impressed with the service - the staff both in office and on the trucks all tried their very best to give us a good move, and they succeeded. Very happy.

2022-06-13Requested a quote last year when we moved. Too long between responses, so I never got a quote. However, last month I did get a phishing scam sent to my email from a 3rd party in Mexico referencing an email that I had sent to Impress with a very suspicious document attached. The email Impress had sent me was copied as part of the regular chain, complete with all header info. Needless to say I did not open the attachment. After writing back to the original person I emailed at Impress to warn them that their client lists and servers have been compromised, I still have heard nothing from them... Give them your info at your own risk.

2022-08-12We still have someone else’s stuff — they delivered other people’s stuff (along with our own, including some of which they broke) and no one from Impress has come to get the other people’s stuff. We’ve emailed many times and no one has responded. To whoever is in the Bay Area and is missing your desk and a box of valuables: I’m sorry — we’re trying to get your stuff back to you!

2022-08-11NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! I signed a contract for a specific date to move from PA to SC four weeks in advance Two days before the move they called and said they could not come that day and could I make it a different one. I could not and had to find another mover last minute and they refused to give me my deposit back. Unprofessional!

2020-11-28I used Impress Moving for my move. I went with them because their price was cheaper but, when the movers showed up to my house the price went up by 300 because my furniture was more fragile than they originally thought. I had described my furniture in detail however, I was still quoted an incorrect price.I have been off of work for a month and asked that my furniture be placed in storage. The furniture was placed in storage. I called in inquire about my furniture and was told that I needed to send an email confirming I wanted my furniture to come out of storage. Well, come thanksgiving day, my furniture was being delivered to me. Mind you I really did not have the cash for the delivery. I called Impress and one of the workers laughed when I said it was thanksgiving and stated “she’s says it’s thanksgiving” I did asked to speak with a manager. This man told me he was the “manager, dispatcher, and the driver”. SMH. The man on the phone only backed off of delivering my furniture on thanksgiving when I told him I was going to write a review on Yelp and report them to the better business bureaus. He was insisting on delivering my furniture even though I told him I have no money. They had their movers stay the night in a bread by hotel. The men who moved my furniture in were pleasant and I did tip them because this mix up was not their fault. My furniture was chipped. I’m under warranty with the manufacturer so it’s not a big deal. If I could deal with the movers only and not the people behind the scenes this company would be perfect. I will never use them for my moves in the future

2018-02-01I highly recommend Impress Moving. My movers were Benny, Mike and Paul. Moving is usually a pain, stressful and exhausting. They (and I will add dispatcher Chris to the list) were professional, friendly, efficient, careful with my furniture, and just all around a delight to work with. They made the experience pleasant, and even fun. The company gave me a great deal and I would 100% call them again for my furniture moving needs. I received excellent, personalized service. They wrapped all my furniture quickly and effectively. Everything arrived in perfect condition, and they went above and beyond by offering to help me assemble a bed frame they hadnt even moved for me. They were super nice guys, doing a great job for a reasonable fee. Im extremely happy I found them.

2014-11-11I was very nervous as I looked for a moving company. I had no idea who to hire! I had never lined up services of this kind before, and literally began my search by typing Long Distance Moving Companies in the Google search bar. After speaking with several companies by phone, I decided to hire Impress Moving and Storage and I was honestly very pleased with their services! We were moving everything from a 3 bedroom house and a 10 by 20 storage unit to a 5 bedrooms house. I had 4 movers come to my house on Monday morning to pack/move. The movers finished packing EVERYTHING in a few hours and I felt that the price was very reasonable for that service as well. On Tuesday, two trucks were scheduled to complete my move. One truck with 3 movers came to load up the apartment. The other truck with 3 movers went to load up the storage unit. Even though it was pouring down rain, the movers safely loaded everything from both locations onto the trucks! All the workers that helped me were very polite and helpful. My parents were there to help me, and they agreed that the movers were very friendly and helpful. They carried everything in and arranged it how I asked for them to.I could not have asked for a better experience and I would definitely recommend Impress Moving!

2014-03-11Impress Moving is a fantastic moving company. I received a quote within 24 hours and they were quick to respond to my questions and confirm my move date.Ok so I was extremely nervous to hire professional movers. Ive heard horror stories about other companies. However, Sam helped calm my nerves after our phone call. He was very clear and straight forward about all of the costs and he quickly sent me a follow-up email confirming our entire conversation. I called other companies and compared prices and Impress Moving & Storage was by far the best deal. My move was scheduled for 9:00am and three very friendly gentlemen arrived at 8:50am. They got to work immediately and worked nonstop the entire time. I always dread moving, but this move was so peaceful and drama free. Nothing was broken, no hidden costs, and I didnt have to lift a finger :-) Thank you Impress Moving. I highly recommend this company!

2017-10-21About a month ago I and my wife had to make an emergency move from Brooklyn to Washington, so we could be there for my elderly parents. Starting from deciding a move to hiring moving company, everything was done on last minute. We did an online search and called some places, but only Impress Moving Company was ready to work accordingly to our quick schedule. I didn’t even wait for a second thought and hired them instantly. We absolutely loved the crew; they were knowledgeable, quick, responsible and courteous. They treated our fragile things with great care. We were very comfortable with all the guys. Everything went smoothly. Undoubtedly, we would use this company for any future moves too.
