Nice Indian grocery store. Loved the free pick-up and drop-off service before the pandemic. They should introduce some more variety. Also, the prices could be better, e.g. having a promotion for students or something like that. Taking away a star because the management is not sanitizing carts and baskets that are touched by almost every customer.
Not so honest people. They gave me discount a dollar off per pound for their raw peanuts because its not that fresh anymore but they still charge me the actual amount. When I complained about it, they gave me a refund of $2 which is suppose to be like $3 because i bought a little over 3 lbs. I even regretted of buying the peanuts because its less than half of it can be eaten. Moldy, spoiled & smelly. NOT GOING BACK IN THERE AGAIN.
This shop has new owners and they have expanded the shop so it is much larger. The fresh produce section is bigger with more items, and a cooler for yogurt and dosa mix. Items on shelves are neat and tidy so it is easier to shop for your items. Prices are good. Owner was very helpful.
In less than a year India Bazaar has improved significantly. If you are looking for any spice for Indian recipes, you will find it here. The store has varieties of frozen Indian food to make your life easy! Fresh Indian vegetables come every Thursday. If you dont find anything, ask the owner, they can get it for you!
Mostly all types of Indian groceries available here. Indian vegetables both fresh and frozen are available at reasonable prices. Seasonal festival items are stocked as well. A big collection of Indian savories and snacks sold. I use this place as a one-stop shop for Buying Indian stuff.
An extensive and well stocked supply of many founds not found in a typical North American grocery store, but enough variety that you would be hard pressed to leave with something you wouldnt enjoy. Layout is simple, decor is severely lacking, but now the store is outfitted with an extensive freezer section. Otherwise, the building is clean, well maintained, and the staff is more than willing to help you, but they may need to find someone who speaks more English first. If you want quality food and goods, buy it from the people who really know what they are talking about, not what Wegmans conjured up.
Had to visit this store all the way from Ithaca. The range of items they provide is astonishing. Everything an Indian could miss in the US is present in atleast one form. Ranging from an enormous variety of pickles to sweets, I could find everything I had on my list. The shop also has a good quantity of fresh vegetables which we eat quite regularly in India, but are hard to find even in most of the Farmer markets in the US. However, the only negative I felt was that the store was over crowded, not with people, but with the items they had. It seemed they had too less a space for the huge number of products they offered. Also, I would recommend checking the expiration date before buying any perishables, since I could find atleast a couple of items with best before date passed once I reached home in Ithaca.
Definitely a go-to for spices, pickles, ghee, rice for Arab and Indian customers. Better selection than most any other in this area. I travel from Rome to shop there if that helps. It is small and crowded and nothing fancy, but if you are making Indian or Arab inspired food this is a little gem.
Be careful when you buy products here. I once bought something that was on Buy two get one free offer and I was charged for three. When I asked them about the offer they said it is not on offer. I had also bought basmati rice which didnt taste or smell like basmati. When I inquired about it they told me that it was basmati and I was wrong about it. Really disappointed.
Ive been shopping here for almost 2 yrs....I have repeatedly asked the owner to put her samosas in the fridge and I constantly see them out.....food safety is implemented to protect consumers. I had to file a complaint with the appropriate office and they told me that she was issued fines for infractions.....I went two weeks after she was inspected and they were putting away their products and the samosas where once again left out on the counter and she yelled at me they just got here they had been there probably for at least 1 hr becuase the truck was unloaded and there was produce everywhere......also the truck didnt appear to have any refrigeration unit which means that all items are being transported as dry products....I was told by a clerk that they transport the breads in a cooler and Ive pulled bread from their fridge with mold and Ive had breads that within 5 days after being in my fridge are growing mold but the breads are labeled good thru 3-4 wks after you start seeing mold.......when I told the clerk about the mold they told me to call the company they buy it from.....Ive pulled frozen veggies with so much ice on them that u can see what they are. FOOD SAFETY!
The new owner has improved the customer service. The old one was very rude. I stopped going to this store when the old owner was. Now I started again going there. I would ask the owner to keep up the customer service, not to go down because sometimes the customer service goes down when the business becomes good. Please treat the customer with respect, they will come to you. And please keep eye on things getting expired.

2022-04-11One of the best (maybe the only) Indian grocery stores in the Utica and Syracuse area. You can buy spices, fresh vegetables, snacks, kitchen utensils, etc. Some vegetables you can only buy at Indian groceries and they have them. The store is well organized and the cashier is very friendly. Prices are fair.

2022-07-01Probably the only Authentic Indian Grocery store in the Syracuse area.Sweet staff.Always well stocked.Fresh veggies come every Thursday eve, so plan accordingly, as it goes through fast.Do visit once and I am sure, you will come again.Indian snack store and Dosa grill are just adjacent, so you can plan and take home a whole bunch of stuff in a single run.Hope this helps...

2022-07-04This is amazing place. Specially for international students ( basically students from India). We get all fresh vegetables and required spices and chats. The transportation service ( pick up and drop to your location) is the best part.*10 star*

2022-02-07Their price markings are a total hoax. All price markings are misplaced, some even absent or covered up. U pick up an item based on the price given below turns out it is totally wrong at the cash counter. Beware. Sometimes they even write buy 1 get 1 free and charge for 2 items. Also because they have no price written or false price written for most products they can charge u whatever they want at the cash counter. Got charged 4 dollars for 1 pack noodles. When asked about it the cashier changed it to 1.50. Saying it was a mistake. Such a hoax. Try and label ur products correctly and faithfully first. !!

2022-02-05OMG…every single day they increase their prices. Please pay attention to your prices, if you ask for a bag they used to charge 10c, then 50 cents and now they are charging two dollar for a bag. Their flour every where else is 14.99 the exact same flour they are selling for 18.99 come on one thing is profit and other is ripping off.. just pay attention to their prices.

2022-03-01Has all the Indian things you would need. Fresh Indian vegetables are especially to dig for. Little pricey. But considering it is the only Indian grocery place, you will get used to it.

2020-10-28Consistently the restaurant we go to for Indian. So fresh. So delicious. Cant find a single complaint. The dosa and naan are staples when we go. Ask for Indian levels of spice and you wont regret it. Cant wait to go again!
