The line for this food truck during lunch is alwayssss long, which means it must be good! I decided to bring home dinner from the cart after work and there was a small line but it went by very quickly. The owners of the cart were so nice, friendly, and fun. When I took a picture of the menu, he said, “what about my picture!” :) I, of course, took his picture as he posed. How fun! I ordered the chicken biryani and the chicken tiki masala. The long line was true to the food quality!
This place is my fave food in the whole city. I think they do Indian food better than anyone (I’ve been to all the nice Indian restaurants in the city). I used to eat here everyday when I worked around the area. I visited it couple weeks ago and it was as delicious as always. I get the paneer matter and the Kati rolls. I send all my friends here and they all love it as well. A true NYC gem :)
By far the best biryani cart food in the area. I absolutely love the lamb biryani and the kathi rolls, but there are plenty of options to choose from - chicken / lamb over rice, kebabs, vegetarian options, salads, theyre all there. We get takeout from here practically every weekend! This cart is consistently rated one of the best cart food options in the city, and it shows.PRO TIP: the lamb biryani is heavenly, but only offered Mon-Fri...
Hey google, give zero star option.Did you ate biryani before in your life?? real biryani lovers won’t accept it. I didn’t feel the biryani taste. This is something else. He is using Only one biryani ingredient. that one also rice, you won’t find any other masala Items. Visit anjappar and feel the real biryani taste.Very worst briyani and chicken over rice in my life. Also he is not ready to hear any comments from customers. I told, briyani is vey bad and smells bad. Rice is smelling very bad, I think it’s 2 or 3 days old. But that guy is hearing like stories and didn’t respond it.Waiting time is more than 15min, long queue in this cart. I feel everything is waste.DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME.
Onolicious!!! Best food and I could eat here everyday. The first place we ate at when we arrived in NYC. We ate here at least 3 times during our stay. We trying be local like everyone. Always find the places where locals go not where all the tourists go. Get the real experience on vacation. Definitely my favorite place for quick, easy, and delicious food. And very reasonable prices for fresh home cooked meals. Reminds me of kid time. This place is good because all the workers eat here everyday. Gotta try it at least once and you will be hooked.
The flavors were delicious, chicken was perfectly cooked, all the sauces were nicely prepared, service was fast, all the things were freshly made, even the salt was perfectly balanced,We loved the samosas, chilli chicken and kathi roll we had here, BOLE TOH MAZAA HI AAGAYA!!!!
If I could give 0 stars I would. The food was not fresh it was very subpar. Their card machine was not working even though they insist it does. The person working in the cart constantly stared and ogled at my body I was extremely uncomfortable. I told him off and he still continued to stare. Overall service was terrible and they were rude and extremely inappropriate. I definitely would not recommend going there especially if you want to avoid creepy men.
One of the very best food truck chicken over rice ever. You get tender chicken dark meat cooked with proper seasoning, over rice with proper seasoning.I highly recommend getting all three sauces available: white, hot and green. If the line is short, you can also request for mango chutney. The best time to order is to arrive before 11:45am on a weekday or after 6pm in the evenings. Otherwise, the line can queue for 15-30 minutes. There are many other food trucks nearby, so be careful not to go to the wrong one. Check the name carefully and look for the truck with the longest line.
There are actually two carts near each other, one named Indian King Biryani House and the other India Biryani House. The reviews are all mixed up and so is Google. Both are good, though I prefer the latter. Food is tasty and would merit a four star. However, the price and location makes it a definite five. Food must be eaten hot in the park.
One of the best biriyanis Ive had in the USA. I was skeptic at first due to the size of the place, however when I reached there, I could see long lines and was intrigued. The biriyani was cheap and it tasted really nice. The order was also served really quick and I enjoyed ordering 2-3 times there while I was in New York.
We (group of 7) were visiting NY and happen to see the place. The food is super awesome. The plan was to grab a bite and get dinner later but we ended up eating dinner there. The chicken roll and the tikka masala combo with rice is as good as it gets. Highly recommend.
A bang for your buck.I could only try vegetable biryani and it is so yum. I tried the biryani with their hot sauce and white sauce. This added so much flavor into the rice and veggies. A must try if you are in the neighborhood.P.S: I have never had such a tasty biryani even in one of the best restaurants in the City.
Favorite food cart in all of NYC! Ive had my fair share and I can tell you that the selection and quality of food here is far above the rest! Excellent guys that run it, always engage me when Im there and know my order! I encourage you to try something new rather than just chicken over rice here. Chicken tikka masala is my personal favorite, but you really cant go wrong!
Wait can be long, but its predictable especially if you ask the guys in the cart. Wait will typically run 20-30 minutes or so if you arrive between 1 and 3. The chicken biryani is the best out of all the carts in this square, enhanced by the splendor of their magic spachelor. It is said it is washed in water from a special NYC well to bring an enhanced local flavor. This is the kind of place where you come and get addicted to the food, any negative reviews you read after the fact you ignore, as you already know first hand the delicacies that are produced.
Best Street Food Cart in the lower Manhattan. Food is well prepared and delicious. Chicken Tikka wrap and Chicken Tikka over is awesome. Add spices as per your taste. No other cart in the vicinity matches the taste of this cart. Whenever I am around this area, try to have the street food from here.
The best cart for Indian food in NYC!! Everything off the menu is awesome. Kaati rolls, paneer mutter over rice, chicken keema over rice and egg fried rice are must trys. Food is really cheap and quick service. Located right in front the giant red cube at zucotti park.
Always good. Gyros are yummy. Quick warning, if you eat a gyro here and it goes right thru you, ask him to not put oil directly on the pita. Thats whats causing your explosions its not the food. I promise. Those little triangle things, I forgot the name, theyre the bomb diggidy. Get the white sauce. I ask for a little bit of sauce. Keep it clean. Thats all. Enjoy.

2022-04-04One of the best Indian food cart in NYC. It is closest to authentic Indian food i have tried in NYC. A lot of Indian restaurants here but they all sell American version of Indian food. This cart has much better taste and uses a lot of original Indian spices to the food. I tried mattar paneer rice bowl and it was delicious. It was for $6 and quantity was a also sufficient. Owner is a good person and cooks food passionately. Will definitely eat here again

2022-01-12How does this business not have any reviews? My fabulous coworkers introduced me to this truck and I am so glad (my waistline may not be). There was a bit of a line but it moved rather quickly and I was glad because it was cold outside (below 30). The food was so good I was dreaming of it while eating it.Try anything on the menu and I guarantee deliciousness in every bite.

2022-01-19Small cart Indian food cart parked near Broadway and Liberty in the FiDi area. pretty sure this is the “Indian King Biryani House” as the pictures depict the cart differently over the years. the cart looks well-maintained and fairly clean from the outside. cart seems to be open from day to fairly late at night.ordered a Chicken Biryani, $7 + tip. took a few minutes, not a long wait. i’ll be honest i was unimpressed with what i got. the flavor of the food was okay. the basmati rice seemed to be over-cooked and broken up from reheating. there was barely any chicken in it. the chicken in it was more like thin broken pieces. compared to other food carts, the serving seemed small. overall, i wouldn’t try this cart again as the experience was fairly mediocre.this is one of those few occurrences where prior superpositive reviews didn’t work out for me. maybe it was an off-day for this cart.the grill man was fast.

2022-06-13Had fish over rice. Price was cheaper without any compromise in the quality and quantity of food provided. It was tasty. Will try it once more if possible.

2022-05-19Loved the curry chicken over rice! The Kati rolls are awesome too but a bit thick for my liking. Definitely going back to try all of the other rice dishes!

2020-12-30I’ve always wanted to try the Indian king biryani house food truck since this food truck would have a huge line every time (pre-pandemic) during lunch hours. The menu is very well displayed and huge given the size and the fact this is a food truck and not a restaurant (well, it’s a restaurant on wheels anyway). With all this said, let’s talk about the food itself.I’ve never had such great tasting food from a food truck before. The food was flavorful and wasn’t too spicy but had enough spice to entice your tastebuds. The quantity was humongous. We had taken a couple of chicken keema rice and let me tell you, the chicken and rice was amazing. The rice was very well cooked and the chicken too was tender and juicy. There’s soda available as well. The prices were good given the quantity of the food at display. This food truck accepts all the major credit cards available on the market (I didn’t know this so I had taken cash with me) so that was something new that I got to know. Overall, I’d recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a good flavorful Indian meal.

2021-06-06I cannot say enough good things about the food at this cart!!!! You know it’s a good sign when there are mostly Indians lining up to buy food here. The building it’s in front of is Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. Tip: If you’re looking for a place to eat this awesome feast, go to nearby Zuccotti Park for a breezy lunch under the shade, lined with skyscrapers.Instagram: @thenomadicfoodie

2021-01-19Very decent and delicious Indian food! The cart was near Leroy Street and Hudson street (and not the official location on google maps) temporarily that day. Lots of options to choose from but unfortunately they don’t have the lamb saag I was craving for. Lamb over rice is still very amazing!

2019-09-05Super delicious street food..! One of the best places for Indian street food in lower Manhattan, they are better than the halal guys..! I tried the chili chicken and the chicken biryani and both were delicious, surprised to see a lot of non-Indians waiting to get some food.. there are few other Indian food trucks around, just be mindful on what you pick..

2022-07-04Nothing is good. Not even single dish has an Indian taste and biryani is getting foul smell. Avoid this place.
