Went to a lovely small Life celebration here. Food was good atmosphere even better. There are all types of animals for the kids. Great gift shop and deli. Fantastic deserts. They have also expanded and have a bar with some amazing beers on tap. Love this place. Win win all around. Oh, fall in love with their apple cider donuts in the fall.
Great placeProducts are at reasonable price and quality is great as wellI am only giving 2 star because of one of the staff at the picking pyoI got at the picking zone around 12:50 thinking they would close at 4. I used the bathroom then went to pyo to buy the baskets. The staff who seems to be young and drives Fiat said they are closed for the day. She was cold and mean. And it wasnt even 1 yet. I live far so I didnt want to make the drive again. So I asked the girl if I can at least walk around the picking area to enjoy the view. She said yes. So I went to the picking zone. 3 minutes later, she yelled at me to get out. I told her that she said I could walk around. And she said she meant that we could walk around the parking lot which doesnt make sense.I went back to my car looking for the next destination as this was unexpected. And the girl waited in her car until we leave. When I asked her what time they open the following day, she didnt say.Our whole family and kids were disappointed. Probably wont visit here again.
If you guys haven’t eaten at the cidery at Indian ladder Farms yet you are missing out!!! Chef Luca Derek Brunelle delivers farm fresh flavors that are unsurpassed. I am a German girl but also a Southern girl so I was very happy, the giant pretzel was perfectly warmed and soft and OMG that Beer Cheese!! The pumpkin salad was to die for, the smoked pulled pork sandwich with jalapeño slaw was out of control amazing, and both my husbands chicken sandwich and kid’s tenders were everything fried chicken should be! Beautiful farm with an amazing sunset. Must go back soon!
Fun farm with expansive market on-site. Stopped by for coffee and a late breakfast, and stayed to say hi to the animals. Don’t miss either - the produce and pastries are phenomenal and the cows and goats were very friendly. Excellent stop for kids and adult kids of all ages.
We showed up and there was a 30 minute wait to get tickets. $13 per person to see baby chickens, ducks, turkeys, and rabbits (who btw were not with their moms). A very tiny barn to walk through...5 minutes tops and we were done with the baby animals. Then it was another half hour wait to pet goats... We thought we would check out the store which was super cute. Would have wanted to get food but they were beyond packed. So we went home. Not impressed. Completely overrated. Couldnt believe I paid that kind of money to stare at chickens. Wont ever go back
A great family run farm that has been in the area for generations. The farm has diversified to offer various attractions like seasonal u-pick of berries and apples, a petting zoo of domestic animals, a brewery and beer garden, a farm shop with a great selection of literally everything under the sun (including loads of fresh apples), a cafe selling house- made baked goods, including famous cider donuts, and a small cozy breakfast and lunch serving restaurant. There is room to walk around and take in the stunning scenery of the Thatcher State Park and the apple orchards.Highly recommended for families and folks of all ages. Truly a great local community recreation, sightseeing, and hangout spot. Every visit is a great time. Please Like👍 if you found this review helpful!
Came here for lunch on a holiday, BAD IDEA. they were 0% prepared. two people got their food 30 mins before 2 other people at the table and one of those was a toddler…. yikes. they were also open for one hour and were out of everything, which fine, but, we went in to get our own drinks as well. i work in hospitality so i’m extremely understanding but this was thing, after thing….. crazy. our check was ready to go, then the last two meals were brought out. wish i could give 0 stars.
Indian Ladder Farms offers great views of the Helderburg Escarpment and Thatcher Park from below. Visitors can pick apples from the orchard (in designated areas), or purchase them as well as pumpkins and gourds. They also offer apples, cider, and cider donuts as well as other food. Theres a bar/restaurant on premise. For families, they have a selection of animals, a play area, and nature trail. They sometimes offer hay rides and special events such as baby animals.
Baby animal days was so disappointing. We showed up a little after 10 on a Saturday to a huge line and came back 3 hours later to find it still super crowded. The chicken cafe was tiny compared to last year and the chickens had no interest in the food. The baby goat playground is no longer baby goats and mostly older fully grown goats. But the porta potty... Beyond gross. The inside bathroom lines were long so I ventured out to the 3 porta potties only to find that they were practically overflowing and had no TP. We will not be back to baby animal days. And this for $13 per child over one year old. Seems they are just trying to make as much money as possible, when 5 years ago we actually enjoyed this event and it was much more reasonably priced with baby animals being the highlight. Way less crowded too.
A nice place to stop with the family. all the cider and donuts are made right there. some of the prices are high and they do have a playground and animals you can visit making this place a great stop for children. the farm is big and they do have other things besides apples if you like picking your own and the view of the mountain is great. so stopping in the fall is pretty.
Ive been going here since I was a kid. Every year they get a little busier but theyve found ways to work through it. With COVID, the store has a limit and theyre sticking to it, but they opened a tent with some of the popular items from the store so that people can be in both places. The food is always great and its a fun family day with a gorgeous backdrop.
Theres so much to do at Indian Ladder farms! Whether you want to pick berries during the summer, or apples and pumpkins during the fall, theyve got you covered! You can also stop by their cafe afterwards to get a bite to eat, and they also have so many fun items for sale in their gift shop. The cider donuts are also AMAZING! Grab some donuts and head outside to the little farm animal petting zoo and giant sandbox--your kids will love it! Prices arent too bad either. Seriously go visit this place. Youll have a great time!
Nice little farm outside of Albany, it includes a small Cafe and two stores selling a variety of things. The big star are obviously their jucy and delicious apples, which you can pick yourself. On top of that they have different ciders, self made honey and much more. Definitely try their amazing apple cider donuts, they are a pievr of heaven on earth right there. Also they have animals to pet and a lot of outdoor seating. Perfect daytrip destination for young and old!
We went to pick up apples, but ended up having lunch at the cafe then walking the nature trails. It was a beautiful fall day to enjoy all the property has to offer. The pumpkin salad was delicious and the half-size was enough to fill me. Highly recommend spending some time here.
We stopped by this place during a road trip on a Monday. So it wasnt crowded or busy. We ordered flights of cider and wine and sat inside their brewery/cider building until the weather outside improved to being sunny. We were able to transfer to one of the outdoor seating areas where we enjoyed our drinks while listening to their eclectic music.Would recommend visiting their farm market and getting their macadamia and chocolate chip cookies as well as their apple cider donuts.
Always a fun place. Normally we go for the animals, apple cider and doughnuts but this time we went to see the Renaissance fair. It was very fun! The people were friendly and the events were awesome! We took our two foster kids and they had a blast. We try to get out here at least once a year for apple and pumpkin picking which is amazing when in season! Been coming here since I was a kid! Definitely recommend!
This is a nice place. It was a bit busy but the staff was very friendly and you still don’t wait long to get served. They have fresh home made apple cider donuts here and they were delicious. They did come out small today, which the employee told me, and they gave me 8 donuts for the price of 6 because of it.
Great place. I love to try and go somewhere new and explore the area im in when i can. Recently my fience and i have been exploring the mirco brews and hard cider places in our area and in between. Indian ladder frarms made it to our list. This is a family friendly place with animals and such. So when you get done running around with the kids just swing down to the cider bar and try their flights or some cases one at a time. The one that shocked me the most was the lavender honey cider. I was concerned it would be over powered by a floral flavor as the name states lavender. This was not the case. To me it was more like drinking liquid apple pie. If you dont believe me try it for yourself. You will not be disappointed. They also have many events here take the kids or not but just come on out and take in the incredible views.
The setting was great, they have a beautiful new looking gazebo or pergola or whatever it is. The wait staff was very friendly though service was a little slow, though they were a bit crowded for lunch. The apple ice tea was an excellent blend of ice tea and apple cider. The fried chicken sandwich had a whole bunch of flavorful toppings listed on the menu, and while I didnt really pick out most of the flavors as I was eating it did all work well and tasted great. However the oddly colored red and neon green pickles on the top just tasted like normal pickles, not sure if they were supposed to be specially flavored. I would like to return at some point when Im not representing an organization and cannot drink since they have a large selection of craft brew beers and ciders.
Great for small kids. They enjoyed feeding the animals on the farm. There is a small sand playground witg toys. Its a lot of sun in the summer so at a certain point you need to just go indoors. The indoor store has fresh fruit, a fun shop, candy (some even with a kosher symbol for the kosherfolk!) There is a cafe as well in the store. Bathrooms were decent and was pretty amused that even the mens room had a changing table which came in handy! Also its not far from Thacher park for some hot views and kid fun when you are done with the farm.
Close enough to where it is not a hassle to get there but far enough to feel like you actually away. When you get hot cider ask for a sample to make sure its actually hot. Luke warm cider is gross. I love the restaurant for lunch before the pandemic. After I when to a birthday party great sandwich spread.
Terrific party service from beginning (pre-party planning) to end from everyone at Indian Ladder Farms. Donna was splendid to work with; clear, kind, patient, competent, and efficient. The entire staff was warm, helpful and attentive. It was great fun and we would highly recommend hosting a party there!
I want to love this place, but I feel like theyre trying to do too much with mediocre results instead of focusing one a couple core markets. Their apples and ciders are great, but their food, beer, prices and events are okay at best. Okay, I lied, their beer is terrible. Below is one of their IPAs I had and it was disgusting. Looked like milk and tasted like soap. I tried a pale ale next and it wasnt as bad, but definitely not good.
Walking in you wouldn’t think much of it with roughly 10 tables. After 10 of waiting for a seat, the food was well worth the wait. They have a great variety of food and they mainly use fresh local ingredients. I ended up getting the Indian ladder breakfast sliders and the breakfast burrito. Both of which is highly recommended. If I had one bit of constructive criticism it would be to cook the eggs to order on the sliders. Over medium would have been better the scrambled.
Went on Saturday 9/25, morning couple hours after opening. Parking was very crazy and unorganized, saw many children almost hit by passing cars. Shortest line for a hot cider and donuts was outside, cider about warm, not hot, think it was $2 more for same size hot than cold. I found the donuts to be so greasy and tasting like oil, although hot. Husband wanted to go inside for baked treats after. Bakery bags scarred with permanent marker of each item, then cashier angry with me when I told her my hot cider was purchased already from outside after her trying to charge me inside the retail/bakery section. Cashier made me look at bakery bag and tell her each of the 12+ items written on outside of bag. Cashier mad when I asked for receipt, cashier held credit card close to her as to force me to lean in and grab card at end of transaction, no thank you or bye. We walked the dangerous walk back to car, almost struck a few times by people speeding by as they try to beat one another to any available spots scattered across the field and people driving through mud splattering everywhere. Tried to chill and eat the average baked goods in our car, some items missing/not even in bag, like $4 each cookies. Call it a bad day, do what you will but we won’t be back. This was our 3rd farm (ILF) we’ve visited in the area so far for Fall festivities in a week or so, the only one we absolutely didn’t enjoy. Windy Hill Orchard & Kristy’s Barn were a blast! They are well maintained, muddy or patchy areas with hay and their parking lots had attendants which you might laugh and think who needs them until you happen upon Indian Ladder Farms and see hundreds of cars doing what they want and seeing so many children almost mowed down before you even go in. Kristy’s Barn was chill and you can pick Peaches and Windy Hill Orchard has friendly parking lot attendants, both with nice and happy farmers, polite and happy gift shop workers, happy cashiers, great live music, AND besides all their employees being happy it looked like EVERYONE was having a fun time, the vibes are so much better. The folks at Indian Ladder Farms looked Miserable inside and out from workers to those attending & who wouldn’t be, crazy long lines, mean employees, upselling stickers that say “ I survived the beverage line” or w/e not clever saying it is, everything felt messy, waiting in 25 minute line for overpriced lukewarm cider next to a dumpster and a grease trap in the sun. Get out of here and run to one of the many other local farms sure to give you nicer memories and save you some money too! Indian Ladder Farms to me comes off as a money hungry business that cut any and all corners to save a buck or steal a buck and it shows from when we arrived to the very moment we drove off their lot. Oh and 2.5 hour wait for a party of 2 to eat at the food/restaurant portion of barn , no adding name to a wait list or a buzzer/text/call upon table ready ....who would actually do that. Y’all are crazy. The above mentioned can of course be improved upon, up to ILF.
Cider, beer food, family friendly atmosphere, well distanced seating indoor and out, check! This place rocked even before the pandemic and is doing well to ensure the safety and comfort of their patrons. Love their wings and Ramen night is everything you would expect and more. Cant wait to visit again!
Went on a Saturday which was very busy as expected during the season. Went to pick pumpkins this time around but will be back to pick apples. The prices are very fair and are based off of the size of your pumpkin not by weight like other places do. There was a nice variety to choose from in the field, little ones for painting and larger ones for carving. The line for cider donuts was long but Im sure it was worth the wait. I will be returning to check out the apple picking and donuts in the near future. Very family friendly with people of all ages participating. Best part was seeing the excitement of the kids as they found their perfect pumpkins! Definitely recommend if you are looking to do some fall activities. The views are amazing as well!*They do accept card payments, minimum of $5*
Poor restaurant service, took at hour to get in. Then another 1 1/2 to get food. After waiting an hour, a wait staff told us the tables are for the people waiting for the restaurant... we were seated there waiting for our food. Didnt get to go apple picking because of the wait. Wouldnt go back.
Many people for Baby Animal day. We went midweek around noon. Lines were long but there are many things to do if you dont want to spend time in line. My kid loved it. People were actually wearing masks. The staff was very kind and gracious. Not going to take points off for the occasional impatient, cider-sauced grandmas yelling about other peoples children taking too long to hold a baby goat.
Food was great, service was not so great.Seemed as though the took every oppertunity to charge us for specials or promotions they offered if not not purchased in the way their fine print disclamed. We went for oyster fest. They offered a free beer with every dozen. But becuase we ordered 2 orders of 6bwe didnt get our beer which we disclosed was the reason for oredering the 2nd order of 6 oysters. There was other reasons for the 2 stars but easy to let go.This experiance just left a bad taste in my moth from the service. Oh well.
Ive been coming to Indian ladder almost my whole life. The place has changed only in good ways. Theres a lot to do here besides pick apples. There are a large variety of animals to observe and feed, a decent sized play area for children, a shop with a huge variety of specialty foods and vegetables, and plenty more. Their apple cider donuts are to die for as are their pastries and everything else they sell. The lines are ridiculously long most of the time, but its worth the wait. Try it out!
Amazing place mom took me sense about 10! Fresh off the tree apples, apple cider is the best here, old time candy, cafe, feeding animals, October is best for its amazing view of mountain landscape of gorgeous fall colors. Parking is bad during autumn season ,come early, fall is peek time for visiting. My opinion: best place to go on your fall outing. Enjoy 🌰🍁🍎
What an amazing experience for the entire family! Also a great option for a bday party for the kiddos. Plan on arriving earlier afternoon, as it gets packed quickly and since the apples, donuts and cider are beyond amazing, a guarantee that you will wait in line. The line does move quickly, however it’s a very long one (at least 45 min) especially later in the afternoon. Everyone wants the cider and the mouth watering donuts so worth the wait. I would recommend having more check-out options as there are only 2 cashier associates on the weekend. The cost is a bit pricy ($$$) however the apples are delicious. Friendly staff will be catered to you to create a positive experience. Many apple options to chose from on a spacious beautiful property. Although I reside in Austin, TX, when I visit family upstate during Sept, I take the kiddos here. 🧺🍎♥️
The cider donuts are available at the take out window only. There are signs that say this, but they dont say where it is - doh! There is a path between the two main buildings, and the window is right there, in the smaller building on the left as you walk from the road.
My mom had her 92nd birthday the other day. We live 5 hours away and with the Stay Safe orders, we felt lost. Mom loves pie, so I gave it a shot and called Indian Ladder Farms. They do not usually deliver things like pie, but Donna, the food service manager, could not have been sweeter and more accommodating! She agreed to get my mom a cherry pie later in the day. While I was on the phone with my mom that afternoon wishing her a happy birthday, her doorbell rang and Donna presented her with a warm cherry pie, a balloon, and a couple of cider donuts! We are so grateful for her kindness and thoughtfulness. She is one of my new heroes!Thank you for going out of your way for a stranger!BTW Mom said the pie was delicious!!!
ILF is a great destination for a drive in the country. The ship is full of fun toys for kids, delicious food stuffs, jewelery and of course the produce and bakery. The Yellow Rock Cafe offers a diverse farm to table menu and the ILF Cidery & Brewery offers loads of outdoor seating, great food and beverages all made on sight. Pick your own fruit in season. A must visit
Visited this past Monday, October 12, 2020. Day was great except for the donuts. They were cold and seemed to be stale. We bought a a dozen and a half. What a waste, so disappointed. They are usually at least warm and fresh. No price break though. Shame on you Indian Ladder. The donuts are a drawing point. With Covid-19 running rampant, it was something we were looking forward to. Enjoyed the apple picking though.
Had a great day out with friends and the scenery was beautiful, but there were some issues.I wasnt a fan of the 2 bag pick-your-own discount, as my husband and I were with friends and we would have paid separately for bags of apples had there not been an upcharge on 1 bag purchases. We all had to scramble to figure out how to logistically pay together. After picking apples, we went to the brew pub. We got drinks while we waited for a table. The hard cider and beer had a good initial taste, but after a few sips in, it began to taste watery and flavorless. We were then seated at a dining table relatively quickly, but we had to wait about 20 minutes to receive menus. We noticed also that the pub was already out of 5 menu items, even though it was only about the beginning of lunchtime at 12:30. Once we ordered, we had to wait another 40 minutes for the food to arrive. The portions were small for the prices, and even though we said to the waitress that we were going to share everything, we received two plastic forks for four people. When it came time to pay the bill and our table had been completely bussed, another 20 minutes passed and the waitress didnt come back to pick up my credit card. I flagged down a different staff member and gave the bill folder with my card to her. I then watched as the staff member gave the bill folder to another staff member, who disappeared with it and never came back. After a while, our waitress returned and I told her I paid and never got my card back. It turns out, no one checked the bill folder and put it back on the stack of empties while it still held my card. I did get my card back eventually, but the overall timing and service at lunch made it very long and frustrating.
Really nice farm with lots of apples and pumpkins. There’s lots to do here but I would skip the restaurant as it is overpriced and not very delicious. Also didn’t care for their brewed beer. The apple cider donuts on the other hand are great, especially without added sugar!
Before you even arrive at the farm, you will notice how beautiful the drive is. I really love their cider donuts, my favorite of all times. They have many different types of apples including ones I’ve never seen at other farms. It’s always a great time at ILF and it’s a great place to spend time with your family.
We were here for mothers day lunch. We sat at the tables downstairs in the cider room. Food was really good, though unfortunately with how busy they were it was almost room temperature by the time it got to us (only reason I dropped a star). Very loud and fun environment down there, great if you like that sort of thing, but if you want a quieter experience go for the upstairs area which is much calmer. Our server was great despite how many people she was serving at once, very impressive. We didnt get to experience much of the outdoors area due to it being quite rainy but I definitely hope to return here in the future and check it out. Well worth the trip! Also, the ciders are top notch, dont miss then!
Fun place to take the kids for pumpkin pumpkin and apple cider. There apple cider donuts are awesome. They also have a little store you can buy locally grown food and products. We went to the apple picking fair in September, they had animals, horse rides, and farm animals to view.
Great apple picking as usual, and the best cider donuts. My only complaint is since they added the brewery section the layout is awkward at best and parking is even more of a nightmare to just go apple picking or stop and grab some donuts. On the plus side the beer and hard cider they carry is fantastic!
Really great space with well maintained apple trees and property, surrounded by the beautiful Indian ladder view. We went here for pick your own apples as it was one of the few around that is close to being organic with integrated pest management practices and to top that off has a land conservation. It was a great afternoon picking apples, though if it busy. Looking forward to going back at a less busy time to check out the brewery.
This place has overgrown itself. Pumpkins and apples were great quality and well priced.Seating, wait times, front management for the food area was very bad. Handling of the drinks was horrible, an outdoor bar with about 1/4 menu, inside tasting/bar for full menu, Id suggest splitting tasting and take out with in house and servers (law dependent).Staff ranged from good to one of the worst attitudes on a bartender Ive ever seen. The house beers were below average, the guest beer (noodle ninja) was very good. The pork on the tacos just came from the smoker and was awesome, the slaw was also excellent.
Yeah its not a very absolutely love this place. They have a store with fresh fruits. You can pick fruit spring through fall. They have an adorable Country Store with affordable keepsakes, gifts, and souvenirs. They also have their own brand of barbecue sauce, jams, sauces, Etc. There is a counter for donuts and a big cooler full of unique and local drinks. They also have a cidery / Brewery that I havent tried yet but cant wait to go back and visit. This is a great place for families as well as adults of all ages.
Normally a really great place to go, but essentially all of the apples have been picked already at the open pick-your-own trees and the line for the cider doughnuts was over 40 minutes long. It was a Sunday so that was definitely a factor for the line, but still seems like they could be doing something differently.
Had a really good time here. The people are really friendly and helpful. The place is huge with lots of varieties of apple to pick. We went on a Saturday and the place was packed. the line to get in the store was CRAZY long. We opted to skip that part and picked up our cider from Hannaford on Western turnpike they sell it there in gallons. We will likely be back again. I think we will try to go during the week next time to avoid the line
Theres one thing synonymous with fall, cider donuts! The fresh made cider and donuts may have you standing in a bit of a long line, but its well worth the wait. Better yet, the brewery is now in full swing and they seem to have a very nice biergarten setup with small eats and live music. Well worth a day trip.
EXTREMELY expensive.... $ 15.75 for peck of Northern Spy Apples.... $8.75 for a dozen cider donuts. They could only be called mini-donuts. Back in September I paid $10 for 1/2 bushel Cortlands (utilities- though I dare you to tell the difference from regular) @ Davis Orchards on Charlton Rd in Charlton NY. Davis also has Morningkill Bakery on sight that makes awesome pies found all over the area. Sorry only positive was time spent with grandson for a while. I am not affiliated with any of the business mentioned.
We have been coming here for over 20 years. Fabulous food and now hard cider. Great outback and atmosphere. One complaint...I counted over 46 people in line to buy donuts WORTH IT BUT..find another way to serve the donuts faster and let the people spend more money here!! If you free up the lines you will generate more sales... We were here 3 times this year and refused to stand in line. You have a barn next store with little foot traffic Keep prepacked dozens here for sale...cash only one dozen only..let the people decide..you are missing out, I saw several people and heard several people sayWe are not standing in line Also need growlers of hard cider and maybe plastic pouch hard cider for sale...This place is a winner, make it easier for the customer experience..
Stopped there for lunch today. The special was Mac & Cheese. Sign said $8.00, charged $12.00. Why? It was $8.00 this morning but they changed it. Moral of the story - get your Mac & Cheese early. Might be $20.00 by late in the day. It was good but there wasnt much of it.
The cider Donuts where perfect as well as the other pastry we purchasedHowever the staff member behind the pastry counter was unpleasant and RUDE !It wasnt even that busy and she apparently didnt want to be thereNo good for public relations , I heard other customers comment the same service issue as well
We love Indian Ladder. We were just there for raspberry picking. They have red and black! Pick your own is always well kept and super easy with little ones. They have a really nice pick-your-own line that you can call to check what is available. Staff is helpful and friendly. The cafe is great and the shop as so many great options. Hands down our favorite cider donuts in the area!! They are pretty busy so plan some extra time for that, but its always great!
Great selection of their own apples, fresh from the orchard. Lots of local products in addition to their own. It was too busy to wait in line to sample the donuts and the various ciders they offer. We would caution parents with young children that may grow impatient waiting for food or tables at the snack bar/cafe. Prices were fairly reasonable for the quality offered. It wasnt a good weather day to venture out to the orchards proper but the barn has pretty much everything they offer from small containers up to bushel quantities. Great selection of ornamental gourds, squash and pumpkins.
Have been bringing my family here every year for close to 40 years for apple picking and donuts. Back then the kids enjoyed walking around the building and watching the donuts be made. At the end you would get fresh warm donuts. I brought my grandchildren here every year until this year. It has been going downhill for sometime but didnt want to give up the tradition. It is very sad that a great day with family has been ruined. Spending the majority of the day waiting in line for donuts while the children get exhausted and bored is not fun. We now go elsewhere. So sad. Instead of adding an overpriced cafe and music, should have considered the customer a little more.
One of my favorite places in the Capital region. Great cider, food and atmosphere. A beer garden type of vibe at the foot of the Helderberg Mountains overlooking the orchards and farms. A wonderful place to take the whole family as there are some old farm equipment for the kids to play on and a stage that often has live shows at night, but during the day the kids love to dance away.
Always a fun time. My best friend and I grew up one town over but even though we both moved to NYC, we always make time in the fall to come back upstate for a visit. Its tradition now to go enjoy the pick your own and how can anyone say no to the delicious hot cider donuts, especially when you can watch them get made while you wait in line. Lots of activities for the kids too like a hay ride, pony ride, and a bunch of farm animals that you can see and feed, and even pet if youre feeling adventurous.
So much to do and buy here, but its always PACKED on the weekends and during popular days to visit. Expect long lines for donuts and the usual fall foods and orchard activities, as its become the orchard everyone visits for orchard-type stuff. Everything tastes great, though. Its just crowded all the time now.
Pick your own apples, fresh made apple cider, piping hot cider donuts, they are an amazing farm! It has become an annual tradition for our family. We drive up from New Jersey just for this, and Indian Ladder always delivers. Adding the brewery just makes it that much better.
Meh. Was disappointed with my experience here - the place was a zoo and horribly disorganized. They should seriously consider hiring someone to do an audit of the grounds and ensure there are signs and clear instructions throughout. Just makes for an annoying experience. I will say that the apple fritters were delicious, but I wouldn’t come back just for those 🤷🏻♀️ I’d recommend going elsewhere to pick apples.
Was super excited to go here. But unfortunately my family left disappointed. We waited an hour and still left before we got any food. Even the Cafe and barn had a very long wait. We understand that they were busy but this was crazy. I felt bad for the staff they were getting their butts kicked. Management failed. We even saw managers just standing around drinking beer and not helping out. They were under staffed and unprepared.
I just cut the apple pie I bought today and found a RAW CRUST. Box #217 from their bakery. Just awful. EDIT: The cupcakes we bought were at least 2 days old! $3.50 ea. Yuck. They should be ashamed. Seriously.Dont bother with their overpriced cafe either. The food was not that good and hard to enjoy with off-brand cola and waving fleas away.A woman I talked with in the barn laughed with me and agreed: Lakeside Farms is best, Bowmans a distant second.Never going back here.

2022-05-09My family visits the farm all year round. They have great things going on for kids but also a delicious restaurant and brewery. Excellent food in a beautiful setting with great outdoor seating. We love their cider and adult beverages too. Everyone loves their cider donuts as well. This place is a great spot to visit for all seasons!

2022-06-06Was here for an event. We couldnt have been better supported and the barn is just a perfect location for any occasion. It feels private and intimate while remaining airy and open (somehow?!).The gift shop and market are a must. Great displays, local stuff, and fun gifts.

2021-11-02Indian Ladder Farms is one of those places you have to visit. Whether its apple picking in the falls or visiting the brewery. They have their own apple ciders which is a must try if youre into that. The bakery is really good, especially the apple cider donuts. In the summer theres farm animals and lots of other things to do. Its a good place to visit with the family.

2022-05-06Im at this place at least once a week during their season. Best apple cider and cider donuts Ive ever had. Their farm store is amazing for local syrup, honey, tea, and more. Their cidery and brewery have amazing lunch and dinner. Outside they have the cutest animals (Maeve the cow is my favorite, with twin goats Boston and Cheeto tied for second place) and a pellet dispenser to feed them from your palm for a quarter. Baby animal days in the spring are absolutely precious. I could go on and on about this place. I love it.

2021-10-14We were surprised at all there was to do. From pony rides, to sandboxes and petting zoos we kept the little ones quite busy. Then we went to pick apples and they had the most delicious Snap Dragons. It was well worth the trip.

2021-11-20Drove all the way from the city to come here go apple picking with my sister it was an amazing drive to get here we came literally the second to last day before apple picking was over an I was not disappointed there still was an abundance of apple available to pick also it was one of the perfect time we came it was not crowded we were able to not wear our mask because there were only a few people there to pick apples most I can say was like 10 family which was perfect we got to enjoy every minute we spent there taking photos and having the kids pick apple and enjoying the views and to top it off the weather turned out to be amazing we didn’t need to wear jacket which was perfect. We then head over to the restaurant and the stores where the fresh warm donuts was amazing and the fresh apple cider was delicious we also tried a few of their apple cider which was good and the indoor was also beautiful laid out perfect for people to sit by the fireplace with comfy couch it was just amazing would definitely go back here again was worth the 3 hour drive with the family

2022-06-30What a great place. The cafe is really good, vegan sandwich on the menu if youre looking for that, kids menu, and gluten-free options on the sandwiches and dairy-free options for drinks. There are a couple of sand pits my kids really enjoyed, one conveniently right by the beer garden. Lots of lovely picnic tables, neat little herb garden, and a friendly donkey the kids can pet but shouldnt feed. Also lots of unique things at the gift shop.
