Absolutely loved my experience at Ink Gentz Tattoo Gallery!! The artists are extremely professional, polite and very talented. They made me feel welcomed since the moment I walked and happily addressed all my questions and concerns. Berto took his time while drafting my tattoo design and asked questions to ensure I was 100% satisfied with the outcome. This was my favorite part of the entire process because it made the experience a lot more personal. I am extremely satisfied and though it was my first time there, it will certainly not be the last.Thank you so much for bringing my vision to life ! ❤️

I put a deposit for a tattoo and then needed to cancel it due to scheduling conflicts. I cancelled 6 days in advance and they have been ignoring my messages and blocked my phone number. I put a $1000 deposit and they really are trying to ghost and keep the money. This is a shady business that clearly doesnt know how to do business. It has been 2 weeks of trying to get my deposit refunded while everyone including the owner ducks and dodges my messages, going as far as to block my number so I cant call the location. I do not recommend doing business with this people.***Update - it has been a month since my refund request and they just blocked me on Instagram. They are basically hoping that I just give up on getting my money back which absolutely isn’t the case. Read the the other reviews and save yourself a headache and never book with these people again! 6/16/22

What a waste of talent. Consistent with other reviews the owner is extremely unprofessional. I started a 1/2 sleeve 10 months ago and he has canceled my appointments at-least 10 times and always last minute. The few times he worked he was late and never for a full session. I gave him the benefit of the doubt at first because he seemed to be “busy”, but he has no respect for his customers time or money. I ended up leaving him with a paid tattoo and working with a new artist elsewhere to finish up. He doesn’t even have the decency of apologizing. Save your self a headache and avoid this shop. This is NYC there are plenty of good artists out here, don’t make the same mistake I did.

Very poor work ethic. He cancelled my appointment 3 times after he had already started the piece. And that’s after he was over an hour late the day we started. Not worth the time or money when there are exceptional tattoo artists to be found throughout the city.

Normally I root for people to win but, I was kind of shocked with the level of unprofessionalism here. I booked my tattoo 2 weeks in advance and paid a $200 deposit which I had no issues with.My appointment was for Friday, September 10th at 1pm. I arrive at 1pm and no one was in the shop and then when I messaged via Instagram - I was told my appointment was for 3pm so I sent a screenshot of the time and date I was told. I didn’t mind eating and waiting but, when 3pm came around…. Berto (the owner) had arrived and had another client arrive. As opposed to communicating and potentially rescheduling my date - he told me I would be after this client. Incredibly unprofessional and a waste of my time, money and travel. My husband and I waited an additional hour and then left. At that point we waited 4 hours for Berto… 4 hours on a Friday. Mind you we also came in from Jersey because we heard decent things about the shop and artist. At this point I’d say be aware of this before booking and you are probably better off going as a walk in client. The deposit is clearly a scheme to rip people off as there was no professional consideration for the clients sacrifice and time. Super disappointing. I highly discourage people from paying the deposit and coming here. I don’t see this shop lasting long considering the disregard for clients. You know I’m disappointed because I enthusiastically waited 4 hours on someone who had no respect or consideration for me.What a waste of talent.

Guess who else has blatant disregard for healthcare workers! Roberto Martinez and his business the Ink Gentz Tattoo Gallery. Also goes by the Instagram name of thebeardedgentnyc and I must say, his work is absolutely amazing! (He even seems very likable on IG). This is why I had high hopes of him providing me with a truly bada$$ piece on my forearm. Unfortunately, this exhausted over worked nurse woke up and drove 1.5 hours to the Bronx to have an expensive lunch at a nice Italian restaurant, followed by messages left un-responded to regarding my 1pm appointment. I even asked the businesses next to his when he typically arrives of which they said 3pm. By 3:15pm I left to drive home 2 hours. I messaged again via Instagram and he responded to my request for my deposit return but low and behold he never sent it! I must say I was truly shocked... ok not really. I sent a deposit, drove back and forth the the Bronx, and am taking time to write this review. Unless you are referred to him personally I do not recommend this guy.

Very hygienic place , they gave me detailed instructions on how to maintain & take good care of my piercings during and after the healing process… definitely recommend

Idk what these reviews are talking about but i only got Exceptional service and my sleeve was done with the right amount of time. Would highly recommend and good quality tattoo!

Berto is not reliable. He cancel all the time. Then when you want your deposit back he blocks you from Instangram so you cant communicate with him. Now I just filed a small claim law suit against him. All for two hundred dollars, he must be starving for it. No service no pay.

The owner has an excellent eye for detail! His tattoos are extremely realistic. He will literally bring any piece of work to life! A++
