Positive: Hotel was centrally located in great neck. Restaurant was inside hotel. Negative: This hotel did not seem like a four star hotel. Customer service not so great. Hotel room was very noisy. You could hear other guests. You could hear the hum of a motor. AC did not work.
Where do I begin to describe the most incredible experience at a hotel which was at the center of the most fabulous wedding weekend - at the beginning. We went to contract with the Inn at Great Neck in the summer of 2019. Lucky for us Anthony Ferrerosa, Sales Manager extraordinaire and now friend, helped us make a quick decision that the Inn was the right place for us. We rode the Covid wave together as we rescheduled two times and hence signed three contracts in all. Each change in date was attended to seamlessly.Anthony was instrumental in orchestrating the Meet and Greet which we hosted Friday night in the magnificent art deco lobby and the Sunday breakfast in a recently renovated private room. Anthony’s attention to detail is impeccable. He heard our desires of how we wanted to entertain and then crafted a menu to meet our needs, both attending to budget and dietary restrictions (we had vegan and glucose intolerant guests to consider). The presentation of food was lovely and everything was delicious especially the ice cream bar at the Meet and Greet. As one would expect, the rooms were comfortable and clean. But the process of setting up the room block and then focusing on all the details around the wedding party and our guests was what made Anthony stand above the rest. He asked that we share the details of our entire weekend so that he could guide guests as necessary. Anthony knew where everyone had to be and when and fully anticipated checking rooms to make sure everyone was out the door on time. He ensured that the room had everything we needed from places to hang gowns, long mirrors and stools to apply make-up, etc. As we rolled in around 2 AM, Anthony had arranged for vases at the door for the flowers from the wedding so they remained fresh to use for decorating the breakfast room.Early check-ins were available to those who needed it and we were given a late check-out as we moved out of our home for the weekend. There wasn’t anything missing. Even the bridal suite was adorned with rose petals and champagne when the happy couple returned from the wedding party. To sum it up, Anthony Ferrerosa and the Inn at Great Neck provided a concierge service in a beautiful boutique hotel with flawless attention to detail delivered by an expertly trained staff. Special shout out to Mercedes who helped us Friday evening and Sunday morning and to the entire staff who graciously assisted our family and friends. A heartfelt thank you from a very happy Mother of the Bride.
When we first met to prepare for our daughters Quinceanera and book the Great Neck Inn for all our out-of-town guests, I knew we were in good hands with Anthony Ferrerosa! He made sure to check in during the events planning and secure the perfect room for each guest! He stayed connected during their stay and checked each room to ensure our guests comfort. He went truly above and beyond on his day off! My guests checked out and then found themselves with canceled flights. They could not leave till the following day, and I texted Anthony in a panic - he answered immediately and rebooked my guests for the night! He was a lifesaver.Five starts to Anthony at the Great Neck Inn!
We booked the Inn at Great Neck for our wedding block in August 2019 for our April 2021 wedding. From the beginning, Anthony Ferrerosa was an amazing support system, and perfect partner for planning. When we postponed our wedding to April 2022, Anthony kept lines of communication open and made the postponement process easy and stress free. We decided to have our rehearsal dinner at the Inn at Great Neck and Anthony truly made planning a breeze. When I had crazy questions or ideas, or called him stressing out over anything, he was always quick to get back to me and offer anything he could to help. The actual wedding weekend, the entire staff at the IGN made my guests and I feel at home and truly went out of their way to ensure everyone had what they needed. The waitstaff for our rehearsal dinner and morning after breakfast; Corey, Shawn, Jeliel, Amy, and Gabriel, were so kind and attentive, and it felt like they were a part of our party. Our shuttle drivers/valet attendants, Mike and Alex, were also incredibly helpful, anticipating our steps before we could ask for help. The IGN made our wedding weekend so enjoyable and stress free, and I would highly recommend them to anyone getting married in the area!
The hotel was nice didnt go for a stay just for mothers day brunch in the lobby ball room, Marco polo resturant was the host and they serviced Chinese resturant food that was nasty breakfast food was hard and they charge $45 for that. I wouldnt mind going back to the hotel but I would never visit that resturant again food was terrible.
I booked The Inn at Great Neck for my wedding! It was one of the easiest and best decisions I had made. Anthony worked around the clock to make sure that everything was perfectly set up for us and for all of our guests. He answered every call and email and made sure to make a stressful process as easy and calm as can be!! There arent enough words to express how grateful we are for him! Mercedes and Gabriel were our bartenders for our welcome drinks, they were absolutely delightful and such a pleasure all night making sure all of our guests were taken care of. All of the staff from valet to the front desk were truly amazing. Thank you all SO much for making it the most perfect weekend!!
I did not stay at the Inn but I had a party in the ballroom. I booked the party in April for December 12th as it was my aunts 100th birthday. Anthony was helpful in booking it and giving me ideas and tips to make the party special. The staff was wonderful, accommodating and attentive. The food was delicious. Everyone had a wonderful time and I would certainly recommend this venue.
I was attending my cousins wedding in the area and they had a room block for all attending family n friends at the INN. Very nice Hotel, staff was fantastic, friendly, informative. Wonderful amenities. I would definitely stay again if back on the area. The INN is Centrally located on GREAT NECK near many eateries, shops, highways. The train is within blocks to get you back into Manhattan for siteseeing.
This is a nice hotel! Clean! Which is very important to me. It was roomy. I felt like we all werent on top of one another. Bathroom was big as well. Very happy with our stay. I would totally recommend. The only reason I gave it 4 stars because we love pools, and this hotel doesnt have one.
SHOUTOUT TO ANTHONY FERREROSA! WE LOVE YOU!!!From the moment we stepped foot into this beautiful hotel in fall of 2019, we knew we had to choose it for our wedding accommodations. Our wedding was originally October 2019, but we had to postpone due to COVID, to November 2021. Working with Anthony and the staff at The Inn At Great Neck Hotel has been an absolute pleasure. There was no confusion, no stress, only helpfulness, great hospitality, and sincere guidance. The hotel is so beautiful, clean, newly renovated, fully stocked, and accommodated with wonderful staff members. We have been working with Anthony Ferrerosa since day 1, and we have to say, he is the absolute BEST EVER. There was never a time where he wasnt present, nor was there a time where we had to wait a while for answers to questions or concerns we have had. Anthony has been an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the entire process, and we cannot commend him enough for all he has done for us, our families, our wedding, and our guests. There is NOTHING he cant do! My husband and I agree that throughout planning our wedding, Anthony F has been a breathe of fresh air, and has been one of our favorite vendors to work with. He always works with a smile, and has put a permadent smile on our faces. We are so glad that we chose the Inn at Great Neck. Our stay was perfect, with no hiccups. Our guests enjoyed their rooms, my husband and I enjoyed our bridal suite (both nights), and our families loved the brunch the next morning (thank you Mercedes and Patrick!!!), post wedding. The service at this hotel is highly recommendable, and should be praised. We will be back for sure, as we have been telling my newly engaged brother to chose this hotel for his wedding! Again, thank you to The Inn at Great Neck Hotel staff! You all were SO wonderful and we cannot talk about you all enough. And to Anthony, you are a superstar and deserve the world. We love you!
When I called to book a hotel reservation for a wedding party, I was told that the group rate was no longer available and that I would have to pay the full $329 plus tax for one night. When I asked why I could not get the group rate I was given ZERO explanation as to why that was the case. The person I spoke to was the “sales director” by the name of Corinne, and believe me she was by far the rudest person I’ve ever spoken to in the hospitality industry. I was treated HORRIBLY by her, when I politely asked to be helped by a manager that may be able to answer my question and help me get the wedding party group rate, she proceeded to tell me that she was the only one who could help me because she was the sales director and actually refused to forward my call to someone else. The conversation ended with her hanging up on me instead. When I called later that evening I spoke to the General Manager (Nick Horne) and he assured me that it was a mistake and that Corinne (sales director) would call and apologize the next day for her treatment towards me, and help me to book a room. I received no call or voicemail, in fact I was completely written off. Now I’m not one to judge too harshly, but if you work in the hospitality industry one should assume that the people you’ll be dealing with are hospitable. However this was not the case. I decided to book my room elsewhere, and I highly recommend you do the same. There’s no way I would pay over $300 to be disrespected. There are plenty of other reasonably priced options in that area. Take your business elsewhere!
We were reserved for a wedding and had a rack rate at The Inn at Great Neck from July 16 until July 18, 2021. This hotel needs a ton of work and an upgrade in staff. I have never complained about a stay but I believe you should be made aware. The hotel air conditioning was spotty and our original room was over 84 degrees. When we complained, they said 5 times that engineering would come up. They never showed. Finally the front desk there was no engineering staff onsite so they would move our room. When we asked for help they told us they had no one to assist us but we could come downstairs and use a bellman cart and return it when we were done. There was no availability to get water or a cold drink. Coffee service was broken in the room. The room was never made up or the request for extra bath towels could not be filled. The entire hotel was a real disappointment.
The Inn at Great Neck provided our wedding guests with a top notch experience . Thanks to sales manager ,Anthony Ferrerosa and his crew, including among others lPaul , Karen, the restaurant chefs, the valet attendants etc , the weekend could not have been better . The hotel rooms were fabulous, including such comfortable beds. I recommended the Inn at Great Neck to my daughter’s then soon to be mother-in-law for the rehearsal dinner and brunch and the food and service was stupendous as I had hoped. The chefs outdid themselves and the place was gorgeous . Everyone had such a wonderful time drinking at the bar as well. Thank you thank you thank you Anthony and your crew. Can’t wait until my family and friends come again and stay at the fabulous hotel!!
We have stayed at the lovely Inn at Great Neck many times, and like our past stays, they never disappoint . Every person we encountered during our five day stay couldnt have been nicer. Our Executive King Room with a kitchenette was very spacious and comfortable, and the large, marble bathroom had terrific water pressure and really nice amenities. Dora kept our room in great shape even though stupid Covid has cut out some cleaning times. Too bad they dont have fitted sheets to help her out! The Classy Bar is the centerpiece of the Lobby, and we dined at the pretty tables in the lobby as well, and both were really nice. Meeting Gerald was one of the highlights of our time there. He is such an asset to the Hotel in every way, especially when he went out of his way to lend us his personal phone charger when ours broke!! He is one of the many reasons we will always return the The Inn at Great Neck every time we come to New York!
Boutique atmosphere. Clean spacious room. The decor is a little dated but in excellent condition. We went to a wedding at Leonards of Great Neck. Friends stayed in less expensive places in the area and were all complaining how bad everything was. We enjoyed our stay completely.
Great hotel. Located in a very busy part of Long Island. Hotel staff were very helpful. Arranged for additional family members to stay near us. Numerous weddings occuring during our visit yet we were still treated as very valuable guests. Great place to stay. I just wish the beds were queen size.
This was the worst experience we have ever had with a hotel. We had blocked 20 rooms for our wedding months in advance. During the WEEK OF THE WEDDING, we were told that they were not able to accommodate half of our guests that booked their stay months in advance. Management moved half of our guests to another hotel that they did not feel comfortable staying at. Our contract was violated and the management, especially Anthony Ferrerosa was so unapologetic that he was not even willing to have a discussion with us. All the after wedding festivities we had planned for our wedding did not happen because half of our guests and bridal party did not stay with us. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially if you are considering booking it for a wedding. It was the most stressful experience!
The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was helpful especially Nick and David. One person at the desk needed more training and I asked for management. She followed through and resolved the issue. It’s near a CVS and places to eat. Great location if you need to be in Nassau County LI
Odd mix of terrible and great. It sits in a bedraggled, beat-down neighborhood with no ... anything nearby. The Deco theme is, like the service, unconvincing and unenthusiastic. Our tiny balcony featured a window box with a couple of dead stalks withered in the sun. That said, the room was clean and large, the mattress extremely comfortable, the bathroom handsome and well designed [great shower!] and the valet guy worked hard. Nobody got hurt at the breakfast buffet.
Despite issues stemming from the pandemic, the staff went above and beyond the call of duty to make my stay comfortable and pleasant. To reply to some other reviews: yes, there is no valet parking at present, but this is due to the fact that we are going through a pandemic and how many places can afford a full valet staff when people are not traveling?I had requested a room with a good internet connection as this was going to be used for an important zoom meeting and the staff delivered. Even when in the afternoon there were some unexpected sounds that could be heard during the meeting, they arranged for the use of another room so that I could continue with my zoom meeting without interruptions. I travel extensively for business and I can appreciate good service when I see it. The team really was very welcoming and super accommodating. It is clear that they take pride in their hotel and in the service they deliver to their customers. I highly recommend this hotel to any business traveler in the area.
Very long wait to check in. Only one staff person working at certain times therefore no one answers the phone. There was no valet parking and since it was only one staff member it took 20 minutes for the garage door to open. The garage is really a dungeon/ storage facility with no clear marking to park. The room was nice however the television didn’t work. There was no engineer on duty so it was never fixed. The restaurant was nice however the food took extremely long. We were there for three hours and finally just left after waiting 35 minutes for the dessert. My Valentine’s Day was ruined by this hotel and to top it off they charged the credit card over$500. Currently trying to dispute this charge. This hotel is a rip off. Don’t give them your credit card information or they will treat it like their personal piggy bank. Never again
Room 509 clearly has bed bug the engineer saying its a spider. Came down to speak with both managers ,and I asked to define a spider he said it has 8legs and I showed him a picture of the bug thats on the wall he stated thats a bug . Its funny he can define a bug but clearly his engineer does not know the difference between a bed bug and spider. Customer satisfaction is poor he said that a bed bug does not crawl on walls etc. Im sure they customer would like a little more customer service this is not acceptable we currently staying in hotel from July 23-July27 for a wedding with total of 10 rooms paying 740.00 dollars for each room. The incident happen on July24.2021 Saturday at 1:30p.m. I will be contacting the bank that has this commercial loan Metropolitan bank.
We had a very nice stay for the price! We came to stay the night before a surgery. The staffs were so considerate and made sure the room had everything we had requested (even lowering the bed) and made our stay so comfortable. We loved our stay so much, we ended up extending for 2nd night. Would definitely stay here again!
My husband planned a romantic Valentine’s Day overnight stay which was supposed to include in-room dinner, rose petals turn down, free parking, champagne, chocolate covered strawberries. Firstly, the room was nice however had hair all over the bathroom and linens. Secondly we placed our order for dinner to be delivered to our room at approximately 8 PM. We chose to have the surf and turf. At approximately 9:30PM we received a call stating that they ran out of surf and turf. Why offer a prefixed menu and not adequately plan to have enough food.? My husband and I was forced to order uber eats instead on Valentine’s Day. How unacceptable. When our delivery order arrived we realized we didn’t have utensils so we called downstairs for utensils and had to wait 30 minutes to receive our utensils. Just as an FYI we end up having dinner at almost 11PM due to this matter. Lastly, when we requested ice we were told we had to get it ourselves. When checking out we expressed our concerns and the manager was busy on a “conference call” and couldn’t meet with us until after 40 minutes. Finally, they offered some funds to compensate for the inconvenience which I was still not happy with. Keep in mind we ended up paying way more for dinner due to the overall inconvenience caused by this hotel. We would of never came to this hotel had we known the service was so terrible. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. Also the parking garage requires some up keep very poorly maintained.
Room was nice . Got the jacuzzi bath room very relaxing. Ordered room service was delicious. Pricey but delicious. They do charge automatic gratuity on room service. Wifi couldnt connect to the room for some reason. Called front desk and they apologized for it but i guess the router was too far. Havent had that issue at other hotels before and the hotel is too expensive not to have wifi in each room.im guessing maybe because my room was at the end of the hall. But the front desk is very polite. Hotel is very clean.
We stayed here for a wedding recently and overall enjoyed our stay. The room is nicely over-sized (MUCH better than the night before in the Financial District of Manhattan, thats for sure!) and the bed was comfortable. The bar was enjoyable to hang out at, and we had the cheese and charcuterie plate while we waited to go to the wedding reception. The only complaint I have is the water temperature couldnt maintain. I would the shower set and after a couple of minutes I would be scalded... I would lower the temperature and it would happen again... it continued to the entire time I showered. Ive never experience that in a hotel and Ive stayed in plenty of all calibers so I was surprised to experience it at this hotel.
This wonderful hotel is at the heart of Great Neck, New York. Quiet elegant and staffed by the most wonderful crew. Anthony, Paul, Michael and Karen were excellent. The housekeepers did an amazing job. The Chef is outstanding and attended to all my requests with the utmost care.Nick has an outstanding staff at this hotel.
Spacious rooms, great water pressure, comfortable mattress. HAIR ALL OVER THE LINENS. The towels and especially the blankets were covered with long dark hair. By the time we got into bed and noticed we were too settled to switch to another room and I had surgery scheduled the next day, so we just felt with it. Spent 2 days picking someone elses hair out of the blankets. Told management about it at checkout and showed the pictures, they didnt really seem to care. Apologized and said theyd tell the housekeeping staff, but didnt offer to take anything off this bill or even the future one when I told them we would be returning because my surgery was rescheduled.
This hotel is one of the worst places I have ever stayed at my entire life.We recently stayed there for a wedding. If it werent for the wedding, I would have walked out the first minute I walked.Be warned the hotel it horrible. Stinky, doesnt clean the rooms, and full of bugs.
We stayed 4 days. The room was very large and the beds were comfortable. The rooms were quiet and the bathroom was large and very clean. We loved the guy who was the valet. He made us feel welcome and was so helpful. He also gave us tips about the area which were spot on. We enjoyed out stay and would definately come back again. We went to office to print out our plane tickets and also had a good meal in the hotel. Very cute place.
A huge thank you to Anthony, Michael, Karen, Stephanie, Christopher and the rest of the Inn at Great Neck staff who made my wedding weekend a complete success! As soon as we met Anthony, my now-husband, Edward and I were impressed by his professionalism, attention to detail and availability to answer our questions and concerns. Via email or by phone, Anthony designed a weekend for my family and wedding guests, even providing us his favorite hotspots and restaurants in Great Neck. This lovely boutique hotel was quite hospitable, even offering champagne as a check-in option. The rooms were immaculate and the amenities were bountiful. Even with a change in the plans and we needed a handicap accessible room right away, Anthony and Michael were quick to grant my new mother-in-law a room to fit her needs. Our bridal suite was beautiful and natural light lit it up for my photography team! My make-up artist and hair team commented on the ease of working on the bridal party is such a suite. Housekeeping and room service were quick and efficient when it came to turning over our room and delivered breakfast for my bridal party and guests so quickly.Christopher was our shuttle driver who had the explicit duty to deliver the bridal party and I to our venue and back. He was attentive and my guests gushed at his friendliness and humor. The morning after our wedding the Inn at Great Neck held a brunch for guests. The food was delicious—yogurt parfaits, fresh pastries, eggs, turkey bacon and sausage, fresh fruit and pitchers of mimosas and Bloody Marys. Our wedding weekend was officially complete!Thank you for making our wedding accommodations easy and worry-free!
Very disappointed read the reviews were very good...pleasant reps now was terrible. Hair in the sink, stained carpet in room, small piece of tissue on bathroom floor when I walked in and no complementary amenities for gold members snacks water (1 bottle was in room) but same for everyone...was told before I came could used rewards e-card did not accept in restaurant. Not impressed at all for price I paid for room. Food looked appealing but the wings were very tough. Nice pleasant service. Restaurant was opened but no complementary breakfast as other BW Gold/Plt members, grab n go?...
Great staff that attends to your needs. I never stayed in the rooms but my son didn’t have any negative remarks when he spent the weekend for a wedding. Each time I am at a party there it’s always clean, the kitchen cooks great food. The party room is definitely decorated with a theme. There is an outside area facing the street. Valet Parking is suggested.
Clean, updated rooms, enjoyed the privacy of a corner room on the fourth floor.Location is nice, town has a lot of charm to offer.Did like the idea of free valet parking. Staff is friendly and accommodating, willing to assist you in any way. Lobby can get busy at times, but rooms are quiet and you get some great sleep with the blackout curtains and super comfortable beds. All in all, definitely a place Id use for my trips to the city/island. Very convenient to get to,with all the major highways within the area.
Under my job duties, I have visited almost every hotel in Great Neck, including this one. Out of all the Great Neck hotels, I’ve never came across one bad one. All of them meet our company’s review criteria. You should definitely try out this hotel, and you will have a wonderful time.
The staff at the Inn at Great Neck was absolutely amazing! We mostly dealt with Ilene and Anthony (who were incredible), but I can easily say that every staff member, from valet to the bartender, were incredible to us and our guests! We stayed there for our wedding (the reception was at the Inn at New Hyde Park) and had many friends and out of town guests stay there as well. The staff was so on top of making sure our guests had transportation to the wedding. We were really impressed! After the wedding, our guests returned to the hotel for drinks and some bar food (which was delicious). The staff was absolutely amazing! A big thank you to the Inn at Great Neck for making our wedding day so much less stressful. I HIGHLY recommend this place!!!
We were there for a wedding party. The staff were super nice and understanding (I actually ended up messing a table as I was partying so hard but they didnt make a scene of it and just took care of the situation). There was a lot of parking spaces nearby. The food and bar was phenomenal. There is a nice sized dance floor and overall was an amazing place.
My husband chose this hotel for the Valentines Day package and he did an amazing job with the surprise but the hotel failed horribly. We have to pay for parking number one. No deals for rewards members and Im an independent travel agent! Tried to explain that to the girl at the desk when we checked in and she had no clue what I was talking about. She was supposed to take my CLIA or ATA agent number. The Executive King room was not as described and I had the sound of the LIRR going by non-stop outside my window. My husband planned an amazing dinner (not from here) then we planned to have breakfast from the hotel in the morning only to find out the restaurant is closed and theres no real breakfast available at all even though its not complimentary we wanted in service and couldnt which they claim is due to covid however, you had dinner the night before for guests?! Cuomo opened up in-person dining the Friday before Valentines Day to give restaurants the opportunity to recoup from this horrible pandemic so that is no excuse!! Why would you not have breakfast available on a holiday weekend special? I will never stay here again and will be sure to make sure my clients dont as well. We also had to go down to the front desk at night for ice. No ice machines anywhere and they wont bring it to you. They need to revamp their services or disassociate with the Viana brand. Ill stick with the Marriott for rewards and perks because this isnt it! Beyond disappointed!!
A wonderful hotel. We stay here often. It’s our base of operations when we visit and care for my elderly in-laws. The Service provided By every single employee is exemplary. From the bell staff and garage attendants to the restaraunt and front desk, everyone gives there all, anticipates our needs and does at least one better. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the prices are reasonable. I look forward to my stays here.
The Inn @ Great Neck is located right in the heart of the town of Great Neck. Its pretty easy to find and its right on a pretty main road. You pull up right under an awning where a valet is there waiting for you.The valet takes your bags and acts as the bag person as well sometimes. They are mostly very friendly and very accommodating. You get your car parked fast and your bags even faster. The front desk was polite and answered the phone all the time. Very quick at responses and always had an answer. But the phone didnt work in the room you could only press zero and never use any of the buttons for all the different hotel features...no valet, no housekeeping, no concierge, no lounge, no bar, and you get the point...Asking for towels took almost two hours to get there but they only had the one guys doing everything valet, towels, and baggage he was very nice! The mechanic also took almost two hours. He came with a poor attitude and didnt really want to fix anything. He had a low sling baseball cap and wasnt friendly at all.The shower head pipe was loose rattling in the wall with the cover plate just hanging. Dont get me started on the filthy shower head that was nothing you would ever want to shower with at all. They had to change the shower head for us. So it was kind of resolved. The room looked nothing like the pictures and were old and dated. The whole places looked so much better in the pictures. They must have a great photo person. The room was a good size but not the right room. They wouldnt let me change my room because they were all booked. They also wouldnt let me get a refund, not even a partial refund. So customer service wasnt the best. I was basically told I was stuck with the room with no reprieve in anyway. Also, the bathroom sink literally had no water pressure you couldnt even wash your hands! The breakfast was okay but your eating in top of the bar and seating in the lobby with a door opening making it chilly. Not the most comfy place to eat your breakfast. Also the dinning room is right off the lobby no seclusion at all. I didnt see any gym or pool either. Just a business center and little market...Wont be staying here again anytime soon...
I came here for a friends wedding. The rooms surprised me and exceeded my expectations. Soft beds, good shower and a work desk in the room so that I could still conduct business? Worth the visit. Breakfast was decent and staff were very friendly. I may have to make another visit lol. Overall great experience.
Check in took awhile I had two rooms reserved and only one was ready, I was told the other would be ready in 15 min but ended up being an hour(and I had to keep calling they didnt let me know) Our TV did not work we called front desk they sent someone but bc all 6 in the room waiting for the other room to be ready as we were trying to get ready for a wedding.. having the TV fixed at that time wasnt working, we were told he would come back when we leave and upon our return we came back and TV still wasnt fixed. The hotel itself was nice but the service wasnt the greatest.
I recently stayed at the Inn At Great Neck where a colleague and I conducted a series of training courses in one of the conference rooms (The Boardroom). The the guest rooms and conference room were clean and well appointed. The conference room was large and included a very nice conference table and large flat sceen TV, which was used to project PowerPoint presentations. Coffee and ice water was provided as well as a generous layout for lunch each day.I cant say enough about the friendly and helpful staff which accommodated all of our needs! An Excellent, reasonably priced location to stay and hold a meeting!
I stayed at Inn at Great Neck from April until the middle of June. It was during the middle of the coronavirus pandemic. Although I didnt get to enjoy the city as much as I would have loved, my stay at the Inn made up for it. From my first conversation with Anthony on the phone to my last conversation with him a week ago, my experience was nothing less than wonderful.Anthony , Michael, Nick. Karen, Paul, all the staff are caring loving, personable and amazing people. I a travel nurse from Tennesseband I felt right at home. Customer service is stellar and with limited options the food was amazing! 5 star boutique hotel! 5 star employees. Highly recommend
If you like rude people on the phone, and unacommadating people at the front desk, try to inn at great neck, we tried to checkin early, and they acted like I was from outer space and spent no time actually checking to see if there was a room available, sad because people in restaurant, and housekeeping were super nice
The Inn at Great Neck was a lovely location that was convenient and within the spend that our company needed. The food was wonderful and the catering manager, Julio was there for everything we needed. Corrine was easy to work with and was able to make adjustments in our food as well as room reservations. Would definitely book again, thanks to all the friendly staff!
Horrible ! This is the Worst hotel ever!!!you don’t get any water ....if you go downstairs if you asked for bottled water they don’t have anyThey give you one bottle of water in the room and if you need extra towels .....you have to go down to the front desk to get it it is about a two star hotel ratingterrible I would not recommend
The Inn at Great Neck unexpectedly became our new home after storm damage and power outages forced us to vacate. We were welcomed with open arms by the excellent staff: Anthony, Stephanie, Paul, Felix and Karen. These folks were absolutely phenomenal - each doing the job of three or more people at once due to the sudden influx of guests - and all in the middle of a pandemic. We couldn’t rate our stay more highly than 5 stars or we would have! Thanks again to all of you for making us comfortable.- A&K Williams
Oh boy do you remember that time that we had brunch at the great in? It was delicious! We had eggs and bacon and sausage and pancakes and waffles and it was incredible. Did I actually stay at the great and? Nope! I stayed at the Andrew hotel which sucked and it was awful and I would recommend you never go there plus I think I have bed bugs. Anyway Im giving this place five stars because its not the Andrew hotel and anything would be better than that piece of garbage. If you want high-quality breakfast and you also dont want bed bugs and you dont like the name Andrew then come on down to the Great Neck Inn at Great town or whatever this place is called its got a great breakfast
Had to get new cards made everyday. Staff said we both had cards by phones or other credit cards but they were held separate through entire say of 7 days. Staff not very friendly. Pull out couch was very dirty. Had cool air turned on and was still 80 degrees in the room. Nice looking hotel though.
Had the bridal suite here for the night before and night of our wedding. Ill start with the staff who are all amazing. Very friendly and helpful with anything you need. I was always greeted with a smile and a good attitude. The bridal suite itself was perfect, we held the Chinese tea ceremony in the living room. The room was clean and large enough for the ceremony and all the girls to have their makeup and hair done. On our wedding night we got a bottle of champagne and rose petals. We had the bar hours extended and we all hung out and drank more after the reception. Great great experience.

The Inn was amazing!! I stayed Friday night and Saturday, the night of my wedding, in the bridal suite. They let all my guests hang out at the amazing bar and when we went to our room we found rose petals and a bottle of champagne waiting for us. The suite was beautiful and was perfect to get ready in. I highly recommend this hotel.
We celebrated my sisters 70th birthday. Mr. Anthony Ferrerosa, Social Event Coordinate make sure everything was taken care of. He when beyond our expectation. My room was absolutely beautiful and clean. In the morning we had a family style breakfast and it was delicious. Thank you to Mr. Anthony and his staff. We had a fabulous time. A beautiful hotel to stay and also for any special event to celebrate.
Ive stayed twice for business. Like most things on Long Island, it needs some investment and modernization. Its dark, dingy and dated. The elevators break often and the AC in the rooms may or may not work. The front desk staff were meh, while the rest of the staff is fine. Only perk is that its walking distance to the train.Wont be staying again, hotel management need not to apologize for the stay, just fix the hotel
Valet parking with courteous attendants and overnight parking available for a $14 fee. Hotel staff was efficient and attentive. The room was clean with free WiFi, 30+ TV stations. Excellent shower pressure and temperature but the shower head was not removable. Would stay here again!
I wish I can give them a Zero rating. I stayed there for wedding. My family booked about 15 rooms if not more. When arriving I had to wait about 10 minutes for assistance with valet. Stayed one night. Worst customer service at the front desk. Beautiful wedding great time with family. Of course #Greatneckinn made everything sour. Checked out and I notcied everyone is getting thier car. I gave my ticket to the parking attendant 30 min passed and no car. No communication only to find out they lost my car key. Long story short everyone left and I was stuck there. They finally decided to rent a car until they can get another key made. For my troubles they also promised my room will be comped.(which never happened) They also said once the problem was resolved they would bring my car back. Which they did but they left me with a unpaid ticket because the did not pay the toll nor walk with thier own ezpass. Its been almost two months and no response from management. Im highly annoyed and very dissatisfied.
Updated and well appointed hotel with full service. Rooms are spacious and modern. The location is in a quiet neighborhood . But the hotel still has the outdated mentality that you can up charge guests for breakfast that other hotels make complimentary ( same items). Parking is not free and should be included in the price, or free to Rewards. etc.
I was having difficulties with the temperature controls in my room and I called the front desk. I explained that even though I wanted it cooler, no matter what temperature Id set it at, heat was still coming out of the heater. I even switched to cool mode to try to bring a little AC in the room but only heat was coming out. The person at the front desk said in a surprisingly accusing sort of way that I must have put it on the wrong setting. Tried to tell me that I shouldnt have messed with the fan speed (which I did not). He said to just set it at a lower temp and wait. Which I tried but to no avail. Called him back and said it didnt work, and that heat was still coming out, to which he said Well the heat to the building has been turned off for weeks now so Im not sure what youre talking about. Yikes. Should have just referred me to someone who could provide actual useful help from the get-go instead of insinuating the heat coming in my room was a hallucination or something. Said he would send someone up and no one ever came. Bummer because the rooms themselves were actually pretty nice.
I was staying at the hotel for a wedding in the area. My room was dirty, dark and small. It was as though the room had been part of a suite which had been chopped into separate rooms. The television was off to the left of the bed and felt cramped. When I say that the room was dirty- I mean that there was hair on the toilet seat, hairs in the air vent, and stains on the carpet. But the worse thing was that the air conditioner was extremely noisy. I complained about the air conditioner on the first night and was told there was nothing they could do. Then after being woken up multiple times during the night- I complained in the morning and they were able to fix the air conditioner. On the up side the staff was very nice- however based on my room I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
I was only here overnight but my experience was fantastic. The room was everything youd want (but rarely get) - spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed is very comfortable and the shower is fantastic! Everyone on the staff that I encountered couldnt be nicer, very courteous and pleasant. My biggest compliment goes to Hubert, the shuttle bus driver. He came to my rescue when the local car service couldnt find anyone to take me to LIJ hospital early in the morning (after being told someone would be there and waiting 20 mins). Hubert heard about it and drove me to the hospital, sharing his knowledge of the town along the way. He went above and beyond and I am very grateful to him for that.
The room was very dirty. It was hair in the bathroom spiderwebs on the walls and dust throughout the furniture. Also cockroach was in the bathtub.I talk to the associate on the front desk and asked her to speak to the manager, she informed me that the manager wasn’t there but that they were going to give me a call I still haven’t heard anything from them. We stayed there on September 27th.We paid over $300 for a room that I would’ve not paid even $50.
I booked a room with a king size bed 2 months ago. I check in and they did not mention that they over booked and didnt have any king size beds available. After much arguing they took 25% off my stay. The mattresses were very uncomfortable and I got attitudes from two different staff members about my room situation. I wouldnt recommend this place.
Review for the inside restuarant= I made a 1pm reservation and was walked around quite a bit, to find a table for 2. My mother has a Walker so by the time I got her food and mine, it was already 2pm. We only had 1 plate, and when I went to get another I was told it was almost 2pm and the next buffet was for the 3pm reservation. I wasnt allowed to serve myself anymore. That left my mom and I feeling like poorly treated customers. Luckily the manager that day was very supporting and said there must have been a confusion. He informed us we could go right ahead and get our moneys worth food. Unfortunately, by that time, my appetite had disappeared. I woulnt reccomend this place at all.
The room was beautiful, although several small details were overlooked, such as a crack in the light switch plate and the toilet paper holder bent from straight. Breakfast started a little late and was only a little better than a continental. The train must run very close to the inn becausw the dining room shakes while you eat. Overall it was a nice stay at a reasonably nice location
I have stayed at the Great Neck Inn three times with business in New York. I so appreciate all the ways they go to make my stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible — consistent consideration, friendliness, and over the top service. I highly recommend them they are the close-knit quality of an inn that makes you feel unique with the aplomb only found in New York.
Inn at great neck was a good place for an overnight. It pretty much had everything hotels usually have. I would have normally given it a 4 star; however, the breakfast buffet was average and despite having told the attendant that it was our wedding night, if they had gone that extra mile for something simple such as champagne in our rooms or something similar, that would have bumped up the ratings. Overall, it is a place I would visit again.
If I could leave a negative star I would. Went there for thanksgiving. Food buffet set up in the main lobby right by the door. Double billed for a very generous tip!!!!! Have been trying to get refunded from management for months. Been sent from person to person with no returned calls. Including Julio Narraro the restaurant mgr.
Due to the pandemic we decided to stay home, just immediate family, and ordered the Inns Thanksgiving dinner to go - a first for us. What could have been a really nice dinner was marred by the dry pig meat we received as our second protein in place of the advertised honey glazed ham we ordered. It was a big disappointment, especially since a couple of our family members do not like turkey, so they had no protein as the ham was rejected by everyone at our Thanksgiving table. Reached out to the staff afterwards, letting them know what we liked and what we disliked. The Inns manager Nick replied that he would speak to the executive chef and get back to me but so far nothing. No offer of partial refund or a replacement. Obviously wont be ordering from them again.
Terrific from check in to check out. Amazing beds in this hotel (seriously). Great decor, walk to everything including great restaurants, shopping, the Long IIsland Rail Road station. Courtepus staff and excellent little touches just make this hotel stand out. A wonderful surprise - I would absolutely stay here again!
Last Saturday April 22, 2017, my daughters shower was in Inn at Great Neck. First I have to thank Mr. Ryan Curran Social Sales Manager who helped us with his smile, answering all our questions and made every wish to decorate or arrange the place come true. On the day of the shower, I discovered that every thing were more than we expect, all people invited admired the excellent tasty food, all drinks and the place. Thanks for the excellent service .You made me proud and I can tell that my daughters shower was one of the best showers i attended. My daughter is so proud Thanks again.
Great place to stay especially for disabled/wheelchair guests. They brought me shower chair and I was able to do everything as if I was in my ADA home. Nothing like indepence, especially after months of hospitalization due to auto accident. Breakfast and dinner were awesome. Had smoked salmon and egg on English muffin with espresso coffee. Room has a refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker, stereo, tv, ironing board and iron, extra linens and pillows. They also provide Terry robe. There was a phone in bathroom, desk and nightstand. In an emergency that would be handy. Felt safe and secure.
Was there as chosen hotel for wedding party. No one stayed there with the wedding said that they would chose It. It was ok especially for 4 star hotel. I stayed in way better places in A.C. Shower seemed weird to get water correct temperature. Had to call front desk to get ice, which was not convenient for us. Towers and bathrobe were below average. I could not understand staff and they me for 4 star in NY it all I think it is a must.Bedroom had kurik coffee, but staff failed to refill them for the other 2 days. I complained and they brought them after a while.Great bed and furniture- wish I actually stayed in the room than the wedding lolCar had to be vallet which was annoying since we were on super micromanaged wedding schedule and wanted to use the car few times. The town is right there with plenty of food places and stores. Starbucks and CVS is less than 5 min walk in town. Railroad tracks are right behind the hotel, but I could not hear it at all.
The pictures they show on their site are completely doctored. If you really want to know what this place looks like (and feels like) watch a few episodes of American Horror Story - Hotel. This is a real life version of the Hotel Cortez. Dated decor. Peeling wallpaper. Mismatched carpet. I digress. I’ve seen Motel 6’s with more class. Unless you’re a huge fan of AHS and want to relive the show in real life, I recommend choosing another spot.
The room was beautiful the shower was the best thing Ive had in awhile the restaurant was very good my only comment would be today add USB wires for the plug in your phones directly instead of using regular plugs other than that it was a great stay very nice people and relatively decently priced

2022-01-31Stayed overnight during a snowstorm with two work friends. We are nurses who stayed close to the hospital in order to get to work safely and on time. The front desk attendant and valet attendants were more than helpful to us. They were kind and friendly and ensured a great stay. We didn’t have to worry about cleaning off the cars in the morning as there is a covered parking garage. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Our short stay was everything we needed and more. Thank you to all… we will return

2022-05-09We had a bridal shower at Inn at Great Neck in April 2022 for my niece and everything was wonderful! Our guests enjoyed it. The event exceeded my expectations. As part of the package, we received overnight accommodation at the hotel for my niece and her fiancé. My niece told me they had a terrific stay and that it was like a mini-vacation. The overnight accommodation was a fantastic bonus, the cherry on the top of the cake, for the entire event.Anthony, the sales manager, really went above and beyond. His attention to detail was super thorough from the placement of balloons and flowers to the setup of the room, the “Winner” stickers, and the photo collage. His extra help made such a difference in making the event a success. The food was delicious.Amy, the server, was top-notch. She was very attentive and responsive to my niece, our guests, and any requests that came up. Bria, the bartender, and Alex, the valet, were both very helpful and super friendly. We would definitely hold an event again at the Inn at Great Neck!

2022-05-30We had an absolutely lovely 90th birthday party here. Our event manager, Anthony, knows the true meaning of hospitality! From planning the event to clean-up, every detail and question was attended to right away and always with a smile. The staff of bartenders and servers were gracious and professional. The food was delicious, the venue, beautiful. We couldn’t have been happier.

2022-05-16I attended a reception for a first communion of 60+ people, and I was blown away by the decor! Everything was wonderfully set, the food/drinks were delicious, and the staff are absolutely terrific. Specifically Amy (bartender) and Gabriel (server) provided outstanding service. I look forward to coming in to this establishment for future events!

2022-01-14I am a travel nurse and I stayed here for about 9 weeks total. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Inn at Great Neck. The staff was very friendly & helpful! Felix (valet), Mike (valet), Mercedes (waitress), and Karen (manager) took such great care of me. The location was perfect. I felt totally safe the entire time. The LIRR is right around the corner and it only takes about 30 min to get to penn station! The hotel gym is pretty small (has elliptical, treadmill, free weights, & a bench) but has what you need! There is also a planet fitness walking distance. The complimentary breakfast was always yummy after a long shift at the hospital. The bed was very comfortable too! There is all sorts of dining options, a laundromat, and rite aid all walking distance. I would definitely stay here again. Living in a hotel for weeks isn’t easy, but the staff here made it easy for me.

2022-05-28Two weeks before my grandsons Bar Mitzvah, we were told that the hotel which was holding our reservations ( 20 rooms) and Bruncharrangements had overbooked and we had nothing! Anthony Ferrerosa to the rescue! The Inn at Great Neck was able to accomodate our guests and also provide a fabulous brunch.Anthony took care of every detail in providing appropriate rooms, coordinating the transportation and even checking the weather to decide whether the brunch should be indoors or outdoors. Due to flight delays and cancellations, Anthony made sure that our guests had late check-outs and early check-ins when needed. My son arrived at 7:30 AM and Anthony was on the phone with a room for him. Anthony responded immediately to any question or concern. The brunch was fabulous and Gabby and Josie were extremely attentive and so very pleasant. The Inn at Great Neck is a charming hotel with superior, caring customer service. They will be my first recommendation for anyone needing a hotel in the area. I look forward to hosting a party there in the future. Thank you Anthony, for making a potentially horrible situation into a wonderful experience.

2022-03-05The front desk receptionist was very rude. Basically yelled at me because I had questions about the waiver you have to sign for the valet which basically States if they damage your car its not their fault. Also they dont have a parking lot so you really dont have a choice and the reservation was not refundable. The receptionist explained if you dont like it we will give you the car back and you can take possession of it right now and park it on the street or wherever you want. There was supposed to be breakfast included but its a sit-down restaurant that costs extra. No breakfast included. The thermostat did not work in the room and it was blasting hot heat all night, could barely sleep. I would not recommend this hotel.
