Thank you so much Melissa for accommodating me on such short notice for a color, cut and blow out. I received SOOO many compliments on my color and haircut. You are an AWESOME hairdresser and a fabulous person! The staff at the salon is so polite and wonderful too...a very pleasant atmosphere. Beautiful salon, always impeccably clean:)

I just moved to Long Island and have been a vivid client for over 5 years, so I knew I had to find an amazing stylist. When I found Nicole on Instagram (@written_incolor), I was excited to begin working together. Immediately upon meeting her, it was so clear to me that not only was she a phenomenal hair artist, she also was unbelievably knowledgeable and fun to work with. She took the time to explain to me each process and I really enjoyed getting to learn more about how hair artistry works. Besides Nicole, everyone was kind and inviting. The space was very clean and they also offered me coffee and beverages. I would absolutely be happy to come here for the remainder of my time in Long Island.

I gave Ivory 1 star only because he showed up.I had been out of town for five months an in desperate need of color and a cleanup. I made my appt with Ivory as soon as I knew when I was coming home.I was in desperate need of color and a shaping.I made my appointment for a Saturday and was going to be his first appt for the day. The receptionist told me to come between 8:30 and 9. When I arrived some stylists had started working already but Ivory was not there yet . The staff phoned him 3 times to let him know I was waiting. They were all very nice and made a cup of coffee for me . It was almost 10 o’clock, when he strolled in. He said he spent the morning in the gym and proceeded to style his own hair and have his own coffee before he started mine.Still , I said nothing about it as I had my eye o the prize, which would have been a good job that I could be happy with.I returned home , as I usually do and took a close look at my hair. I was devastated!. I was very clear that I wanted no new layers as I was almost all one length at that point. and very specific about not cutting angles around my face and please, no more layer’s!Once they turn you around so you can’t see, you no longer can stop what they are doing wrong.My hair looks like a 10 year old cut it and the only way it can be fixed is to remove even more hair!Does anyone listen to the client anymore?

Everyone at Intercession is great extremely friendly. They make you feel like your part of the Intercession family. And to top great service! Im extremely picky who cuts my hair because Ive had horrible experiences. Happy I found a new home. Thank you Ivory.UpdateStill love this place and I totally trust Ivory not only with my niece and nephew hair but with mine as well! Thank you for always taking care of my hair and making it look great 😀

Just had to leave a review! Everyone was absolutely amazing! I had a manicure and pedicure while I was getting my hair colored. I felt so good after leaving with great looking nails and hair! I was pampered.....so wonderful during trying times! Thank you everyone at Intercession!

The salon is clean, atmosphere is relaxing, the staff are wonderful and friendly. For this I give them 5 stars. I wish I could say my experience was a good one. I was recommended by a friend, I stated to the colorist that I need help transitioning to my silver hair as Im getting married in June. After two rounds of bleach, we decided not to go further as my silvers were only concentrated on my crown. I specifically told him that I want to go darker. A brown with caremel highlights and showed him a picture. He covered my roots but instead of the dark brown color I asked for he went lighter leaving my hair blonde. I was upset because he didnt do what I asked, darker doesnt mean blonde. After all this what I found more insulting is that he charged me full price and left me with a color that I didnt ask for. So basically I found this to be a waste of time and money.

Nicole is an AMAZING colorist. She knows exactly how to do her job and is very clear and upfront from the beginning. She explains the process to you and keeps you in the loop + is more than willing to answer any and all questions you may have. I highly recommend her! WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! I live in New Jersey and I make the trip to get my hair done at Intercession in Flushing, NY. So well worth it. My hairdresser is very attentive and always makes sure that I am taken good care of. I love her! Great service, great salon!
