Interfaith Medical is a Very clean medical center with friendly staff.Came here for the Covid-19 vaccine. In and out in just over an hour. Was skeptical when I read other negative reviews. But, my experience was very pleasant. Even the RN that administered the shot was very friendly and professional, she took the time to explain everything to me then asked if I had any questions before giving me the shot.
Dr. Jeffery Lawrence is the worst psychiatrist, ever. The following is my opinion after interacting with him several times. He lacks listening skills and is super judgmental. He projects his own insecurities onto you. His manner is beyond shady and way below par. I will not hire.
Got my COVID vaccine shots here.Nurses Sherry, Maldonado and Yvonne made my health visits golden experiences and Im certain that theyd do just that wherever they go and for whoever they come into contact with. The hospital sections are well laid out to allow for ease of mind and comfort. Warm and professional service all round!
My experience with the hospital was terrible. They left my 88yr old grandfather in his room and he didnt eat. My grandfather is unable to food himself. Had I not came there day the nursing staff wont had bother to do anything about feeding him. He went in there talking and laughing but came home unable to move. Having to be put right back in the HOSPITAL!! NEVER AGAIN!!!
Complete waste of time. I went there because I had flu symptoms, and my primary care doctor didn’t have any appt’s. I tried to go to 5 different urgent cares, and they were either at full capacity, no space on the waitlist or not taking new clients at the moment. The doctor did a COVID test, and sent me home. He never checked my chest, throat, ears for an infection, etc.
This was my first and last time at this hospital.I went there via ambulance wasnt seen till 4 hours later ...my daughter was in severe pain .. theres to many sick patients and short in staff..Hospital is very disorganized!!! Patients were in stretchers all the way out the emergency room....area.They donot have a pediatric emergency separately from the adults!! Some nurses were rude n unprofessional!! A bunch of sick patients 😷 on top of another...along with the homeless people looking for a bed to sleep and cant offer a bed to the actual patients because they servicing people that are not sick and all... elderly people severely sick ... with no placement....my daughter sat in a chair for hours....only to be sent to another hospital.....this hospital needs to shut down ...it needs to be cleaned...I dont believe the staff working in this hospital is safe themselvesSadlyyyyyy
Unorganized. Unprofessional. Very little to no communication between staff members, or between staff and patient. Employees here look like they couldn’t care less. Waiting for hours just to be asked the same questions repeatedly. There’s no sense or urgency here. Patients literally yelling to get nurses attention - they just ignore. At least COMMUNICATE! I would give zero stars if I could. Also recognized one of the staff in the ER wing from YouTube. Used to be a fan of her channel but after witnessing her rapport/work ethic I was turned off and slightly disappointed. She has absolutely no clue what was going on when it came to directing surgical patients. In part I will say that this issue is due to lack of communication. I understand things get hectic, especially in a hospital but there’s a difference between wanting to care for people and wanting a paycheck. Quite frankly, and I hate to say it but this, to me, is considered a big L for the Black community. Here we have a chance to do something extraordinary but… nope lol. Just my two cents.
This hospital deserves 0 stars, even 1 star is too much for this hospital. Slow service, you will die before you even get registered in the system; having only 1 person, registering patients while others just sit at their computers. Staff is nasty, rude and nonchalant. Hospital needs to be closed down all in all. You have an emergency go somewhere else you will wait your whole life before you get seen.
I went there looking for multiple reasons. Pacemaker, hernia, and prostate. Everything was going well until a nurse came up to me and allowed her personality to get ahead of her. During an disagreement / argument, I told her in my anger I don’t care about her or like her - she turned around and told me she don’t like me either. I am white - she is black. I felt like this woman wanted more than a nurse position and wasn’t given one so she is somewhat bossy and miserable.I also stayed there 11 hours was given no fluids and brought to dehydration. After security and a doctor got involved with the argument, I said a few names I shouldn’t have - but ended up almost fighting 3 other men in the emergency room.I was told she would leave me alone but when I started talking to the person next to me - to encourage her, this same nurse got in my face with a lot of unpleasant things to say and order me around. She was not professional at all. Even in a fit of anger from a patient - a nurse or medical staff should never say to a patient they DONT like someone else. So I discharged and walked out at 11 at night in Bedford Stuyvesant - not a safe neighborhood for a Caucasian to walking thru at 11 at night. But I didn’t want to stay in a hospital where a nurse expressed her feelings towards me in a negative manner - even if I was wrong and emotional at that moment.Period. Won’t never go back there ever again !!!!!
Great emergency room staff, Great doctors, horrible billing. Outpatient visits at the hospital clinic that were originally supposed to be covered by my insurance magically werent and I ended up with a surprise $1,000 bill.Edit - Adding to the horrible billing, their online portal is horrible. Nearly had a bill sent to collections because they didnt enter it properly and said I had a 0 balance. Called the hospital repeatedly over the last few months trying to get it resolved and either got hung up on or left on hold for literal hours.
Wish I could give them 0 stars. I was in a hit and run accident and they had me making trips carrying my bookbag and ran over skateboard all over the emergency room. Took 5 hours to run a Xray and CAT scan when the ER was pretty empty besides people detoxing. Female security guard had a huge attitude problem. Multiple people in the ER commenting on her rudeness. Doctor insisted I should remember certain details after being hit by an SUV. Rude comments when I told her I dont remember every detail after getting hit. XRay tech got mad at me when I asked her to be gently when touching the side of my body that was hit by the SUV. Pretty clear these individuals do not like their jobs or helping people.
My dad has stayed here three times and has had a horrible experience each time. everytime he stays there they starve him to do tests but the tests take forever and he ends up not eating for 3 days. my dad is also diabetic and give him a different form of insulin which is supposedly better for him but dont answer his questions about which better form of insulin to take. awful service always
If you’re going for mental health DON’T DO IT (find a different location or something). My doctor held my medication hostage bc during this pandemic I didn’t feel comfortable as an anxiety and depression patient showing up to a hospital. Been on the medication for 3 YEARS and all of a sudden dr adeyo something( can’t even remember his name bc since day one his care towards me has been off) said he won’t send me anymore refillsUntil I come into the clinic. Ohh and did I mention that I had to ration my meds bc I would be out of my med before the day of the appointment. Tried to speak to the lead lady DR. Christina (I believe) and she gave me anxiety over the phone, speaking very fast (tried to get her to slow down bc it’s making me anxious) but she just kept talking saying “can I make my point?” I won’t get your point bc I was shaking from the anxiety… dr Ojimba (my first dr) was great though.. JUST CHOOSE ANOTHER LOCATION AND BE CAREFUL. They want to “treat” your mind but won’t even listen to you, it’s very heartbreaking bc of the two I mentioned I prob won’t be able to trust anyone with my mental health anymore.
Zero stars if I could. They’ll let you be seen 4 times before they inform you that your insurance is out of network. I broke my ankle 3 weeks ago, requiring surgery. It took them until I ASKED for them to inform me that I was luck I didn’t go through surgery and get sent a whopping bill. Now 3 weeks later here I sit with no clue what is going to happen to me as I cannot find any other providers to answer the phone. Also, no one answers the phone aside from the ER unit…
This facility turned away an individual in need of substance abuse support twice. All because the individual is an abuser of “the wrong kind of drug”. It is very interesting that the drug of choice for one demographic is pushed out the door, while another is able to receive support without issue. If not for the individual having an advocate with him, he would not have even been asked all the appropriate questions to fully assess his needs and, at bare minimum, provide him with resources to aid him in finding the support they were not offering.
Most unprofessional doctors. I overheard one doctor say to another in the hallway. Well if that medications not working let’s give him this one. The other doc said do you think it’ll work. He responded I don’t know. That’s what we are here to find out. The foreign doctors are rude to staff and patients. The nurse was giving me medication. I asked her what it was she said she didn’t know. I refused to take it until she found out. Turns out it was a high blood pressure pill. Another nurse came over and said here with a cup with pills in it. He had no credentials on. Didn’t even introduce himself. He could have been the janitor for all I knew. I refused to take anything until I spoke to a doctor.
They kidnapped me. I came in for a possible OD but I was fine and I wanted to leave, they said I had to stay upstairs 24 hours on the physc floor. Next day doctor tells me I cant leave until I get some shot and then another 4 days later and I can leave on day 9 or I can stay 30 days. I got the first shot and passes out and got sick af so I was brought downstairs and released the next day. I had hallucinations, shakes, couldnt sit, stand, hearing voices. I was messed up for 6 weeks. I have been clean 3 years now. Dont go here.
I will not recommend this hospital at all. They denied me service because i would not give my phone number or email. Made me sign a document saying i refuse to give these then after sitting and waiting for 30mins a denial. If i could give 👎0 stars you would have none.
Rude and unprofessional nurses and doctors. Very disrespectful and you have to long hours to see a simple doctor. It needs to be shut down and fire all staff. Not to mention they kill their patients and people needs to know immediately. Plus theres always arguments and fighting.
Horrible Place for starters, waiting in the ER room for an immediate emergency is a hassle . You will be waiting for hours and hours. So unprofessional, security doesn’t do their job properly. Went here to take the covid test. Its been almost 3 hours and im still waiting. DO NOT GO HERE. Your better off going to NYU Lengo.
They are still making upgrades to the hospital so things are a little chaotic. If youre going there for pre-op be prepared to be there a long time. I suspect this will change once all constructions have been completed and all Renovations done. But for now youre going to need your patience. Theyre also doing covid - 19 testing and vaccinations there, so that also adds to the amount of people that are there. But with all this the staff is very nice.
So I came as a walk in for the COVID vaccine, been here since 6:30am. They’re providing the second dose for 7am-9am & the first does only from 9am-3pm, but like I said I’ve been here since 6:30am for the first and I was #7, and there’s about 35 people already behind me within 1 hour. The staff all seem extremely nice and helpful! I’m so glad I came across this location.
Yesterday we were fed a cold sandwich and juice for dinner and this morning we received uncooked refrigerator cold eggs and bacon...I had a IV that wasnt working. And I told the nurse she continued to shot medication which swelled up my arm...Needless to say I had to call for something to eat and remove the IV myself...
My cousin was admitted for stomach surgery 😢. Had to come back for infection. After staying in the emergency for over 24hrs... this hospital still dont have a bed. When you call everyone have attitudes and is clueless 🙄. They keep transferring you to different people who have no direct answer for your question.
My 88 yo aunt was transported to you hospital due to an emergency. We called everyday and kept getting the run around about why we were unable to reach her. We were told she was in intensive care which scared us half to death. We continued to call and kept getting the same information without being told why she was in ICU. Finally after a couple a days a Dr. returns our phone calls to tell us that the floor was converted and she was not in ICU but we couldn’t speak to her because her room had no phone jacks. While there one of your nurses took off her jewelry before she went to surgery and told her she would put it in a safe. My aunt’s jewelry is now missing and we’re not being assisted. We are being told unfortunately her jewelry cant be found. Not to mention they tried to send her home to before all her medial needs were looked into. Her care coordinator had to get in touch with the hospital to demand she has all her concerns looked into. They ended up having to keep her four additional days.We support our health care workers and understand what they are going through due to COVID. However, we dont condone or tolerate blatant theft from anyone but especially elderly patients who are already scared because theyre alone in the hospital due to COVID.#elderabuse #elderjustice #respectourelders #badnurse #worsthospitalever #thief
I had Covid-19. Was treating it at home but it got extremely hard to breath. So came in for a check up, potential CT-scan. I waited for 30 (they had a shift change). After waiting another 5-10 min I asked for a doctor because I was getting extremely anxious and couldn’t breath. One of the nurses made a comment about me and the other nurse laughed. I’ve never experienced such inhumane treatment in a f* hospital! LISTEN to the reviews. Don’t go there! I made a mistake and should’ve just made an appointment with onemedical or order a stethoscope myself. Would’ve been less of a pain
I had to visit the emergency room here due to a severe allergic reaction, I was a bit worried to go here as this hospital kind of had a bad reputation but I didnt have a choice since it was the closest hospital to me. I was pleasantly surprised by the staff in the ER, I was admitted in probably under 5 minutes and was given treatment under within 10minutes of arrival. The nurses, doctor and staff were all very professional and helpful. I cant say much about any other department but I think their ER department was amazing in all aspect, thank you guys very much for taking care of me!
Radiology department receptionist needs to be trained how to deal with people 2pm Wednesday she said sign in so I did Im the only one there I wait 15mins for she jumps up from her computer ask me my name then closes her door. after Additional wait I ask her could she find me in the system or was anyone going to call me. As she rolled her eyes at someone will call you thanks for the favor
Its my Brooklyn go to hospital.Ive been coming here for years, the folks here are all warm and friendly and they take very good care of you.Sometimes the wait can be a little long, but today there was no line and nothing crazy as in the first 5 months of COVID.To tell you the truth place was sort of empty.Folks please dont wait to have to come to the hospital. Some of the most amazing Doctors Nurses, that I haved a chance to meet. Please dont wait for the last minute to get a small chance to extend your life clycle.I dont know about all of the others, but no one is here.MAD LOVE THE BROOKLYN WAY.Please hit the like link.
Just had surgery 3 days ago and I have to say everyone there was very very kind to me. EVERYONE. Despite the commotion of people wanting to get the Covid vaccine, not listening and following directions (which is very usual) the workers kept it professional. Everyone had a smile on their face and if they didnt, their voice was very pleasant. I wish I remembered names, I would have listed! The whole experience made recieving surgery much more comforting.Thank you to the pre-surgery staff and the surgical staff for all of your hard work.Peace and Love
Got sent into ICU. My first two days there I had no way of contacting my nurse if I needed help. Did not enjoy my nurse, asked to speak to her supervisor for days to change nurses and she flat out refuses.Come to discharge time, takes over two hours for the doctor to come to my room to assist me. Than proceeds to tell me how I have a bunch of tests lined up still.Ive been off an IV for a day, and want to leave, I couldnt care about the tests you guys have left my care here has felt like a solid 1/10 all weekend
Theres hardly no wait in the waiting room well I usually come between the hours of 2am - 5am no wait and get a bed in the emergency room right away the emergency room doctors remember me from 9months ago thats a plus so it was easy to relate my concern to them and it was also easier to diagnose and treat me they ran the necessary test an which hours before I came to the hospital I was at another hospital and they didnt do none of the test that this hospital ran to find a diagnosis they did a mandatory Covid test and staff usually give u what u need when u need it waiting to admitted it may take a minute but once you are everything is usually good after that different doctors come to exam you but ask the same question little annoying but I guess its just part of each doctor procedure cant be mad at that food here its surprisingly tasty and seasoned a little bit with your little salt does the job and they do give you packs of salt unlike like some other hospitals my advice ask a doctor put double portions or high calorie meal if the food dont fill you but all in all my experience at the hospital is pretty great and was great the last time I have little to no problems at this hospital except for the room I was in with a broken AC but I got through that LOL
Was recently admitted there for 5 days, the room I was in had a broken heater that was stuck on high heat at full blast.(in the middle of August!!) No one ever came to fix it the whole time. Laid there pouring sweat the whole time and every time I asked for water there were no cups,no drinking water or some other reason why I couldnt even get a drink of water!!No one ever came to clean room the whole time I was there. Trash cans and drawers were full and overflowing of a past patients trash. The room stunk like stale urine and vomit that had not been cleaned for years.Requests for simple things like hospital socks were completely ignored.I could go on and on with stories like these of things that happened during time there. No one cares at all there and patients are just an inconvenience who interrupt their personal conversations and watching television shows on their phones.Worse place ever!!!
The staffs are clueless, lazy mostly chatting and on their phones not doing their jobs, the doctors are no where to be found. There was this patient who fainted and didn’t get help 10 minutes after, there was this other patient with lupus bleeding out and the staff didn’t do NOTHING. One of the guards put their hands on this patient for trying to leave to another hospital for better care that is unexpectable. They would also have you waiting for more than 8 hours. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOSPITAL. The hospital is also very DIRTY
Doctors and nurses were all too casual in their approach and I was simply ignored by one employee at the ER main desk. Im sitting here waiting for an IV to be removed from my arm so that I can leave and make an appointment to be seen by the adjoined clinic but, that wont be happening based on my experience thus far. No sense of urgency or sincere concern from the nurses. They were much more invested in their personal conversations while I sat waiting for answers concerning my condition.
Unfortunately, my mother needed to be rushed to the emergency room and the EMT erroneously took her to the nearest hospital (Interfaith Hospital) instead of New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital where here doctor is located. I am her health care proxy and because of her condition my information travels with her whenever she is sent to the hotpot also. She has been there for 24 hours and thus far I have not received a call from the medical staff with an update on her condition. In addition, I have called the nurses’s station multiple times in attempt to get an update on her status. Several times the phone rang continuously with anyone ever answering. Finally I called this afternoon and spoke with a gentleman who was brash and disrespectful. He asked me to call back in 20 minutes because there were no nurses in sight. I told him that I needed to get an update on my mother who is congnitively impaired. He then asked if the doctors had called me. When I told them they had not, he replied, “Then there is nothing to tell you.” I told him I was my mother’s health care proxy and I should have received a call at this point. In addition, I should be leaving a number for the medical staff to call me not the other way around. I then inquired about the nurse’s station clerk. He responded with a raised voice and irritation, “They are unable to give out that information, the nurses are making their rounds and doctors aren’t available.” I asked him if he liked his job because he disposition was unacceptable. The next thing I knew he hung up the phone. When a loved one is hospitalized family members are likely emotionally spent and distraught. They should be comforted by the fact their family member is receiving the highest level of care/customer service. The people they interact with whether on the phone or in person should be courteous, professional, respectful, and empathetic with the people they come in contact with each day. I would never want anyone to experience what I did today.
RUN AWAY...do not go to this hospital unless you are suicidal. From the time I walked into this hospital to the time I left, everybody I met was rude, obnoxious, inconsiderate and ghetto. The doctors are not smart and uncaring. They treat patients as numbers. The nurses are too lazy and unprofessional. The only person who cared about me and told me to not stay at the hospital was another patient. He told me that the hospital is not a good place to be. This patient was in the ER for 18 hours for asthma symptoms. He claimed nobody treated him. When I asked for the patient relations staff, the AVP, Mr. JUAN CONTRERAS,was rude and not helpful. Did anybody go over the job description with this guy?? He supposed to be helping the patients. Anyway, after waiting around for some type of medical care, I just left. I dont think anybody noticed. The State should close this hospital down. The hospital should consider retraining the staff about customer service and cultural competency, starting with the Patient relations AVP. By the way, the hospital needs to invest in a good cleaning staff. The place is filthy!
So I understand how emergency rooms can be busy and stressful but what I experienced was just negligence.I was sent here by my primary care dr because of a severe flu, tachycardia, and dehydration. The order was asking for a blood test and IV fluids. When I arrived I was bounced from window to window and repeated why I was there probably thirty times. The nurses were nice but seemed just clueless. I had been given an EkG from my primary dr this morning and gave the nurses the print out. I was then given a second EKG. Okay maybe they need to do their own. Then I am placed inside the Er on a chair in the hallway. Several people called out my name and then told me to “sit back down”. Finally I was put in a bed and the nurse started setting me up for a THIRD Ekg. I told her I had two today already so she sent another nurse in who performed my third EKG (all three were normal, my heart rate was elevated due to dehydration according to my primary care dr)Then the doctor came in (Dr Aba? He never introduced himself but I heard nurses talking). I was obviously stressed when he came up and told me that he would “give me some ginger ale and an anti nausea and then I go home”. I showed him the order from my doctor that said I needed fluids immediately and bloodwork. He said he would make his own plan, and I mentioned the severe dehydration one more time to which the doctor said “yes you will drink water. That’s how you get hydrated.” I exasperatedly tried to explain I was dehydrated because I couldn’t keep anything down in three days but he just walked away from me mid sentence. I was so nervous and stressed as I sat there another 20 minutes before a nurse came in with my IV! What? I don’t know but I received it.While I was receiving it the people in the next curtain had kids who were shouting and banging on my bed and machines. I tried to get a nurse to help me as I also had a headache but even as the kids were hanging off of my bed on the side my IV was in- no one seemed to care. I talked to the adult and he said “they just kids, baby.. want me to give you some?” I took this as sexual harassment and told a nurse before leaving and she said “oh well that’s the ER for you”.As I sat in the bed my nose was running andi was coughing making it drip more- again tried to get a nurses attention to get a Kleenex but it seemed they all just ignored me- one looked at me and said “don’t move the arm” and nothing else even as I called outWhen my IV drip was finally finished a nurse came in took it out and said “you’re all done, you’re discharged, you can change and leave” I asked for instructions on what to take/not to take and how to proceed or if I should wait for the doctor and she said they needed the room and call if I had questions. She left me to take off the monitor and blood pressure cuff ect. I slowly walked out of the room and didn’t even know where the door was. Finally someone answered me and told me what door- which was locked and a security guard had to let me leave. I was so confused and they never took my blood like the order said. It felt like they were humoring me because I insisted on the IV and because I was a young girl alone they didn’t really care. I went home and cried I was so confused. My mother said they should have sent me with discharge paperwork or something but they just told me to leave as fast as possible. If I have a choice I was go to any other urgent care
WORSE HOSPITAL EVER!!!! I went into this place with excruciating stomach pains, only to be ignored for 4 hours. When the tech came to draw my blood, I think it was her first time doing it. She put the needle in, didnt tape it down, drew three tubes of blood, as the needle is slipping out of my vein, when she takes the needle out, my blood sprays EVERYWHERE!! She hands me a piece of gauze to put on the hole. Doesnt tape the gauze down and tells me to hold it there!!!! I am in pain, I want to just curl back up into a ball (which I had to do on two chairs) After that I got up and tried to leave. Door was locked and I had to ask someone to let me out, they kept asking my name and I just kept telling them, My name is I want to leave, so let me out Then finally the Doctor comes over and tells me hell give me something for my pain, first off never saw this guy before and secondly when someone claims they have stomach pains, you cant just numb the pain, you have to examine the patient first...... so needless to say I just left. Id rather die at home than to ever set foot in that nightmare they call a hospital again. The whole ordeal was surreal and nightmarish. The guys in the tutu with the sludge hammer didnt help the situation. Also the nurses and security are VERY rude and the language they use is not that of one who works in a professional setting. How this hospital is still operational is BEYOND me! This place needs a total overhaul of staff and a makeover of the hospital in generally. Seriously Ive seen better looking hospitals in abandoned facilities. If you ever end up having to go to a Hospital in Brooklyn, I HIGHLY recommend Lutheran. At least there they have compassionate staff, that know what they are doing.
This place is an absolute embarrassment to the healthcare community. I wouldnt trust this facility again if my life depended on it.I brought someone in with severe abdominal pain and the security guard asked what we were doing here? and wouldnt allow us to approach the check-in desk despite someone doubled over hardly able to stand in pain. Several people came in from the outside to use the bathroom (drugs in hand) without question. The receptionist was very inattentive to someone crying in agony and let two patients go before her who were ASLEEP in the waiting room. The ER staff is extremely rude, downright nasty, inattentive, and act bothered by patients that actually need urgent care. Most patients in the ER were asleep and not hooked up to IVs. Half were brought in in police custody with no pain or injuries, the other half were homeless, asleep and not being cared for. We spend 13 hours in this ER and saw numerous patients left alone to sleep the entire night not once being checked on. Zero sense of urgency on the nurses and doctors part.
This is by far the worst hospital in Brooklyn!! Had me here for 2 days waiting and waiting and taking out blood after blood. To tell me the dr is doing something else!! Then they feed you cold food!!! I appreciate the concern and help from them but they have to step it up!!
I been here for a surgery and I was treated with care. Than another time I was so sick had no idea what was wrong with me the doctors work fast to figure out the problem. I was given meds. I was happy and better. They let me rest until I felt I was able to go. Only down fall it wasnt as clean because people kept on coming in leaving a awful mess but they were good.
EVERYONE is rude here. They speak to you as if YOU offended THEM for being in pain. I arrived around 5am due to pain from kidney stones and I had to wait another TWO HOURS to be seen by someone because there was a shift change occurring. Not to mention, I had to flag down a triage nurse because Im guessing the front desk ladies were too busy talking to one another. When I told her my name, she said oh, I thought someone had gotten to you already, and she immediately helped (again, after having to flag her down). This place is not only understaffed but improperly staffed with the rudest, uncaring, ill-mannered associates Ive EVER encountered. The security guards made fun of me for pacing the floor, as my stones would not allow me to sit still. They joked that I was probably crazy like some of the homeless people that wander in for care. It took everything in me not to show them how crazy I could really be. Aside from the unprofessionalism of their security, NOBODY EVER PICKS UP THE PHONE or has an awareness of who is the proper contact. Your voicemails will NEVER be returned, from even the most senior to low level employees, NOBODY seems competent. You come in feeling bad and you leave feeling depressed and bamboozled. My nurse and doctor were pleasant, but the turmoil I went thru with non-essential staff overshadows the care I received. I only checked-in here because it was the closest hospital I could reach while driving myself. If your experiencing a life-threatening emergency, have the EMT promise you to bypass this place!
I went in with severe pancreatitis. I knew what I had, they did not listen. I waited EIGHT HOURS before I was admitted and given anything that would help me. Not only that, but I repeatedly requested that the doctor call my methadone program so that my dose could be verified before they closed. Instead, the doctor was EXTREMELY rude to the nurses at my program as well as to me. It got to the point that the nurse told me she had filed a complaint against him and the hospital. Care was substandard. The nurses were also rude, did not want to do their jobs. Whenever I called for help, they rarely answered within an hour or two. If I could give ZERO stars, I would.
1 star can’t even begin to describe how horrible this place is. I’m a person who usually never writes reviews but I had to say something because my experience last night was terrible. It’s disappointing when you can’t even look to your own kind of people for proper care and efficiency. I came in with extreme chest and back pain but, because things were so unprofessional around there I was brushed off and made to wait hours on end. After about 4 hours of being persistent with doctors I was finally diagnosed with pneumonia. I was so close to just walking out and going home but thank God I didn’t. Sorry to say but places like this are what make black doctors/ nurses look like jokes & this is coming from a fellow black person!! We have to be better as a collective and take pride in our jobs. Piece of advice for anyone still reading : If you know you will not be satisfied with the care from your zoned hospitals please call an Uber instead of 911 (if not life threatening ofc) and go to Methodist Emergency care. They are by far the best hospital I’ve been to & I will continue to go there in the future.
Want to agree with the majority of people reviewing this hospital its honestly one of the worst. I cut my hand open with glass about 2 weeks back. It was the closest hospital so a friend drove me to the emergency room. Just to get an xray done took about 30 mins probably longer. Emergency room didn’t have their own xray room open so everyone was being sent to the same place for X-rays. I waited another hour just to get stitched up. But before they stitched my hand the practitioner obviously numbed my hand she said she’d be back in 5 mins, but came back 30 mins later and the anesthesia was wearing off had to give me another shot of anesthesia. Then proceeded to stitching but looked clueless and then called in a doc/surgeon to stitch me up and honestly they stitched me up poorly. I got my stitches removed today by my regular doc only to see that my wound never even closed, doc said they tied it to tight which isn’t what they were supposed to do. Don’t recommend this hospital! Doc had to give me butterfly stitches.
The only reason I’m being generous and giving this review 3 stars is because the PA that treated me, J. Richard, was very helpful, kind and understanding.I severed two tendons in my hand on 7/10/18. I arrived at Interfaith Medical Center’s emergency department at 10PM and was received by the intake staff around 10:30PM. They were kind, took my information and were patient with me. I was then brought into the emergency department. I met PA J. Richard right away. He was helpful, cheerful and was patient with me. Provided numbing treatment to my wound and wrapped my hand. I then went to have a cat scan around 11:30PM. That took about 45 mins to 1 hour. I then returned to the emergency department to wait for my cat scan results. I was told it would take about 45 mins to 1 hour. By this time it was midnight. After waiting almost 2 hours for my results, I decided I’d prefer to see my own doctor because no one was helping me, giving me updates etc.I told the CNA (maybe nurse?) that I wanted to be discharged and she told me to speak to the other PA on duty because the PA on duty would have updates for me and would be able to discharge me. I respectfully requested an update and to be discharged with the PA (maybe nurse) that I was directed to. That PA looked at me. Told me to hold on because she was tending to her own patients (whatever that means because she was ignoring everybody up in there!). She then told me to step back even though I was standing nowhere near her. Finally she looks at me and without even checking her computer, tells me the results of my cat scan and asks me whether I want to discharge against medical advice. This means she knew my cat scan status and just didn’t update me. I sat there for hours, respecting everyone, and trusting that they would update me at reasonable times. From there I sign the discharge papers. She calls the PA that was assigned to me (J. Richard). J. Richard returns as tells me not to leave so that he can wrap my hand, and give me the documents I needed to give my own doctor, and my medicine prescriptions. At that moment the PA that was ignoring me says:Mean PA: “Why aren’t you leaving?”Me: J. Richard told me to stayMean PA: yeah but you told me you wanted to leave so why didn’t you leave?Me: because he told me to stayMean PA: I did the discharge Papers as a courtesy to you!Me: listen I don’t want to fight with you. I’m just trying to get help from my PA who wants to help me.Mean PA: you’re rude! This PA had all the time to fight with me about NOTHING....but claims she’s so busy tending her to patients. Who does that? She shouldn’t work in an emergency department if she can’t handle the work load and gets mad about little things. Why would she prioritize fighting with me over treating patients?I didn’t leave the emergency department until 4AM. In addition to the above, the emergency department conditions were atrocious. The bathroom was filthy! Smelled like urine, and seems like it’s never cleaned. Blood soiled materials are not handled with care, which is alarming. The Nurse (CNA maybe?) dropped my pill on the floor and never found it to pick it up. An attendant that transferred me to and from the cat scan area, admitted to me that he had had a very strong drink before work. He was slurring his words and it was evident that he was under the influence. This place is a mad house. I’m not exaggerating one detail. I mentioned the good and the bad.
This hospital has turned away or discharged patients for lack of insurance . The staff are rude and clueless and the nurse working the ER yesterday (there was only one) called us liars after we called the supervisor to say he was turning away a patient because of lack of insurance. He reluctantly provided the patient with papers but discharged him a few hours later because of lack of insurance. Besides this being illegal, the patient DID have insurance and the nurse didnt do his due diligence to look him up to find out if he had insurance or not. This is a horrible practice and I do not recommend this hospital to anyone. Legal action is also a possibility.
I still cant believe that this hospital and the quality of services they offer is in the United States of America, its just a shame. This hospital should be close down and Im not exaggerating at all. These doctors are worst that some I met in third world countries from South America across to North Africa. The assistants are rude and the whole place smells like tons of wounds not treated for days. Ive been here since pm and at time of writing its 6: 08 pm. Still waiting for Dr. Worst place ever.
A close relative was recently admitted to Interfaith Medical Center. The staff in the emergency room were very kind, patient, and professional. The staff on the medical floor were knowledgable, polite and kept family member up to date with the patient progress and explained all medical procedures in details so we all can make an informed decision on the best way to proceed.Pro:+Majority of the staff were professional, knowledgable and appeared to care.+They addressed the immediate health issues and made my relative feel better.+The food looked healthy and delicious.+Parking was assessable majority of the time.+They have an awesome gift shop Great variety at a decent price.Con:None that I can recall at the moment. Except they do not have a bike rack or anyplace to lock up a bicycle if you choose to cycle there.Unfortunately, I heard some talk that they might close down and no longer take new patients. I was unable to confirm to know if its true or not. Conclusion:I highly recommend Interfaith Medical Center. I give them 4 stars out of 5 because overall they provided great services however, a few staff members were unprofessional and dishonest.
I REGRET THE DAY I WALKED IN THIS PLACE!! DO NOT EVER GO THERE! I had to wait 1 hour to go in the emergency service. After 2 months they sent a $1150 bill, all they did were calculating my height, weight and blood sugar. But this was not the biggest problem, because it is impossible to find someone who do their jobs in this place. They are ignorant and disrespecftul. I called the patient account department 10 times in 3 months, they didnt pick up phones or they kept transfering me to other lines. I ended up going there with my all documents, but security didnt let me talk to anyone. All he was chewing gum and looking at my face.Anyone who had horrible experience, just letting you knowWE HAVE RIGHTS AS PATIENTS!!! Please read this!! This place deserves to shut down..Complain without fear of reprisals about the care and services you are receiving and to have the hospital respond to you, if you request it, a wirtten response. If you are not satisfied with the hospitals response, you can complain to the New York State Health Department. The hospital must provide you with the Health Department telephone number.
I don’t know how this hospital is still open? The staff and rude and nasty. The underpaid security guards steal from patients. The doctors are conservative so they only have traditional medical advice to give... and don’t get me started on the dirty walls and unkept scenery...... those who claim they been going there for “years” you have to watch out for... I don’t think they follow HIPAA here especially if your within the community. And the good doctors never stay long, if you found out that doctor left go to their current practice... it’s a reason why they left.
I’ll never go back to this hospital even if I’m dying!!!. The staff just sits there staring and taking their precious time. They’re a bunch of old employees who moves really slow. You can be dying in pain for hours and not one person would attend to you. I was there on a Sunday which you think it’s a Sunday you’ll get out fast!!!! I kid you not I was there for 5 hours and not one person attended to me and it wasn’t even a busy day. I think these people don’t know what there’re doing. This lady told me they give her wrong medication now this unacceptable for a professional health care center. I then be begun to get aggravated and not only me there was chaos in there. Everyone was getting mad and shouting for help and you think this would speed the process up Noooooo!!! I then left that was my worst hospital experience everrr!!
Im currently admitted to the 3rd floor, I pressed the call bell at 4am and its now after 6am and nobody has come to check on me, my nurse is nowhere to be seen and there are no pct around, Im attached to the pole giving me iv fluids and have had to hold my pee for 3hrs now because there are no nurses around to help me... dont come to this hospital if you have any other choices, the weekend staff is unprofessional or nonexistent.
Today I went to the e.r at about 12pm and it was crowded so I left and went back at 3pm and it was more crowded but I stayed anyway. I was in a lot of pain and didnt see a triage nurse until about 6 or so. The nurse I saw was very rude and didnt even ask proper questions. Now from past experience I know my symptoms are caused by a kidney infection and being I suffered from arf in the past I knew I was gonna be seen in the back, but this nurse was so rude and tryna rush she sent me to fast track which by the way had no clue I was supposed to be seen there so I ended up walking out. Still in pain with no results. This hospital gets worse and worse each time I visit
You DO have employees who do FINE WORK!THANK YOU TO THOSE!!Up on 8 WEST I SWEAR I think they put trainees only in this place.Unprofessional indeed. There is construction right next door on that floor.Should close floor until construction is done. After a week in the hospital (psych)they never contacted patients psychiatrist in which they were supposed to😔😠
I will be filing a lawsuit with my attorney tomorrow morning and petitioning for this facility to be shut down. I havent had such horrible care in a medical center in my entire life. The nurses and doctors are truly clueless and have no drive to truly want to help you. This is literally where they send the bottom of the barrel nurses and doctors who barely passed medical school. Ive never seen a facility that locks the doors to the hospital and tells someone who is having an asthma attack to walk around the hospital to a different entrance. The nurse never asked my age, weight, height, if I was allergic to any medications, etc. The entire staff seems to meander around nonchalantly as if this is a hangout spot with patients asking for assistance and everyone keeps passing the buck onto the next person but no one is assisting the patients. I wouldnt be surprised if the federal government did an investigation that they wouldnt find a lot of wrongful deaths due to negligence. In my honest opinion, this hospital needs to be shut down and the administration should have their rights to practice revoked!!!
Just the worst costumer services ever !!!!! never have i ever seen doctors arguing in front of me!! you should feel comfortable speaking to doctors, while i was there the lady wanted to argue with me because i told her i want to be seen by someone else, she mad me mad uncomfortable by her tone and i felt like i didnt want to be rude to her so i said, can i please see someone else, no lever of professionalism at all!!!!
I am currently in Pediatrics with my daughter going on day number 3. While I was in the bathroom Nurse Bedford was checking my daughter blood pressure. My daughter began to cough and the nurse responded to child by saying OMG everyday is something new with you. You need to hurry up and get out of here. Nurse Bedford is extremely Disrespectful. This hospital is becoming one of the worst inpatient facility.
Terrible experience: the hospital cancelled all procedures (colonoscopy/endoscopy/surgeries) the day before due to a predicted heat wave and did not communicate this to the patients. Many of us showed up after taking off work, travelling, putting our bodies through intense purging, some elderly folk had to jump through hoops just to get medical clearance to have the procedures approved....only to show up at the crack of dawn and be told that the staff decided to not show up and not tell patients. As an apology, the hospital mailed us a letter with a tiny AMEX gift card (which majority of the businesses dont accept) and it had a note that said we would be charged $5 just to activate the card. What a way to make up for an epic failure.
I had to take my friend to the ER when she slipped and fell at work. Everyone, from the nurses to doctors and all support staff, were kind, accommodating, patient and just all-around wonderful. Nurse Tash in the ER was exceptionally kind, and stayed past her shift end to make sure we were taken care of. Im so glad Interfaith is our neighborhood hospital!
Worst experience ever. I had really bad tooth pain in a wisdom tooth and had taken over 2200mg of medicine before going. Urgent Care called them and asked if they did dental work and they said they did (otherwise they wouldnt have sent me there). Get there and after they take me into triage, thats when they tell me that they dont do dental work. I go back and see the dentist and he doesnt even have the proper tools to examine me. Tapped my tooth with the wooden end of a throat swab. Tells me he cant give me anything stronger, but tells me to take more Tylenol. Then proceeds to go to the bed next to me (where I heard the entire conversation and what happened to the girl) and the dentist can stitch up this girls gums. Went to Syracuse and got my tooth pulled the next day by an actual dentist who noticed how much pain I was in. Would never recommend this place ever. Id give them 0 stars if I could.
This place is absolutely horrible. Not clean, rude/dismissive staff, and extremely slow. Took three hours just to triage with no communication about wait time from the staff. This is an emergency room for goodness sake!! After 5 hours of waiting, we finally left to go to NYU Langone Cobble Hill Emergency Room. Good service, fast, and effective. FYI: you can check wait times on their website :)
My family and I have been going to this hospital since 1997. My daughter is one of the last children born from this same hospital the yr 1999. Out of all the years of us all going to this hospital we have not had not one problemThe staff has treated us like family, the front desk say hi we never had issues.Im sorry to those who have had issues but they have been good to my family
I came in to the ER with extreme chest pain, dizziness and numbness in my arm. I sat in the hospital bed for an hour and half before someone came to talk to me (to collect more info). Thats when I told him the Dr. never came. He says the Dr. is on their way. 20 mins later a Nurse comes. Says shes going to get the doctor. She vanishes. After another 15 mins, I decide to leave to go to another hospital. The Nurse ( Nurse Maurice, I believe it was) follows me and begins to have a shouting match with me about how I have to have the Dr. sign me off. Shes going back and forth with me for about 10 min or so as I continuously ask for the paperwork to be produced. Once the paperwork shows up, I follow her to the DRs desk. The Nurse says heres the patient. He wants to refuse medical care. The Dr replies What patient? Nobody told me about this patient. I walked out.
Used to work in dietary ver recently... i have to admit, the staff is horrible. The nurse doesnt keep an open eye on their patients and doesnt focus on their jobs. I had came across too many patients that complained day in and day out about the nurses and the doctors and how they were treated by them. Nurses would receive food from Dietary for the patients and instead they would eat they food. And i watched patients would werent able to move suffer in silence. They food would sit on tables for more than an hour before they feed them, or they would be screaming in pain and no one comes to their aid. Not only that, they held patients, convincing them that they are some how sick, just to milk the insurance. Beware of this place
If u arent visiting pediatric e.r dont even bother going. A lot of people go here because of its convenient location in Brooklyn. Well Id rather drive the extra 14-20 mins to Brookedale, which isnt as clean and appealing but the doctors and staff are superb. Interfaith however was the worst absolute worst at everything. The staff is rude. The doctors are mediocre at best. I would never go back there. In fact I almost caught a case as a 27 year old mother. They almost took me out of my character with their unprofessional ignorance. If I go back there its be because Im dying and unconsciously taken against my will.
Im 21 weeks pregnant & high risk, came in the ER triage through the ambulance because I cant stand up. Found out that theres no Ob/Gyn service here. 3-4 hrs later waiting in the stretcher to find out whos my nurse and doctor still no answer. I still didnt get a wristband. In the 5th hr the RN who was leaving seen me (turns out Im not even her patient, but I remind her of her own child) thats only the beginning. They was suppose to take my blood and urine. They just put an IV no blood has been taken and Im still looking at this urine 11 hrs later. Yes Im still here. From May 1,14; 4:46p- May 2, 14; 2:26a. Im smelling my own urine from my bedpan since May 1,14; 11:52p now its May 2, 14; 2:28a. Im starting to feel dizzy again.
On June 5 My Fiancé and I were illegally taken from our home and put in the psych ward at near by hospitals. ( I did not consent to anything the police wanted to do or say)The 73 precinct police illegally searched our apartment with no evidence and no real reason for their being there. Their reason for showing up with a swat team cutting our door apart and essentially traumatizing both me and my husband was a foul odor ( territorial cat pee from our pet). When i explained that it was cat pee and that my fiancé was the super of the building seen everyday with a sign in the lobby with his name in it it seemed like they ignored it and then made up another reason to get into my apartment. My apartment was very messy with janitorial items and legally I have a right not to let anyone especially police fishing for anything in ( btw we had nothing ). When we felt threatened enough by the police because they were now trying to saw our door open from the peep hole we had to opened the door for fear of robbery . (We have the whole ordeal on our CCTV building cameras) . The 73rd precinct then put my hands in the tightest wrist bands (I have pictures of bruises) they slammed my husband to the ground and illegally searched the apartment then illegally sent me and him to separate psych wards the sent my husband to brookdale. He got out immediately and went to find me . No explanation no bookings the hospital admitted me illegally (intercare hospital). When he got there they were saying I wasnt there they waited till late to tell him I was being admitted. They admitted me against my will and wishes to leave upon me saying I dont belong there. They drugged me to sleep with respirole . On the 7 I was released without the stuff I came in just the thing my fiancé brought to me during visiting hours on the 6th of June. On the 7 the doctor wrote on the document iwas being released in the 6th . They prescribed me holoperidol with no psych history. On my way home I told my fiancé I felt funny but I didnt mind it. Then a few hours had passed and I took a sip of alcohol and immediately began to have uncontrollable muscle contractions all over my body. My husband called the ambulance immediately and I was given Benadryl to stop the reaction my body had to the medicine haloperidol I was never supposed to be given. Even the doctors at this hospital were surprised and disgusted.I HOPE THEY ALL GO TO HELL
I remember being a young Mother having 3children at this hospital, My Dr was a Male, and didnt like my attitude, I was a first time moghMo ever!! so he cut me so, to leave the marks of scissors so I would never be able to please a man again, and that I could never be proud of my body again, Hes not the only Dr that practiced mutilation on women during child birth in this country.
My ER experience shall forever live in infamy.I dont know why the ambulance driver dumped me here when I asked for Kings County, but I will never go back. The postscript is they didnt have my insurance info initially and it took them six months to finally send a bill after it was provided to them. Guess they were hoping they could bully the insurance for more money.
Worst hospital i have ever stepped foot in, surprised this place is still open. The staff could care less about anyone, dying or not. The wait to be seen is so long that most of the patients waiting to be seen fall asleep. The waiting room smells like PISS, i kid you not.. it makes the sick, sicker. I wish someone would start a petition towards the closure of this so called “hospital”. If there was any option below 1 star it would’ve been the rating i chose because 1 star is far too high for this sorry excuse of a hospital. I would not recommend this hospital to someone who lives across the street and is dying!! Please go elsewhere you shall thank me later 👍🏽
I arrived at 9:15 am with severe pain in my tooth. I was left in the waiting area until after they were done with lunch. I then asked if I would be seen next, the girl answered I dont know. She gets paid to know and I was never seen because by then I was in too much pain to be patient. They do not care. Please go elsewhere.
My Mother is has been waiting for 6 hours with my 9 year old brother to see a doctor in the emergency room as I am writing this review, i have made multiple calls, yet to no avail, I am extremely upset, no assistance whatsoever, her hand is swollen and her cuticles are black and blue, by the grace of god she managed to drive there, barely able to turn the steering wheel. I am an active duty military employee and she is a prior postal worker. we pay taxes hoping that our tax dollars would go to the care and support we both fight for from different perspectives. as I write this, I hope it is known that if something happens to her within the confines of this hospital, legally I will show no mercy. I have lost love ones in hospital care and with that I am through, My mothers name is Sharon G Collins.
The staff is very sweet. From nurses to clean up crew. Just an all around family experience. When your children are sick, its really comforting knowing you have support. This hospital has a bad reputation. THANKS TO THE CITY CUTTING FUNDS. If interfaith had as much funding as Cornell university, this hospital would blow Cornell out of the water. Its sad. Brooklyn hospitals have funds cut while the rich 68th st hospital is getting more funding. Can you say wall street corruption? You can tell these nurses and doctors love the kids and their jobs at interfaith. It makes me sad to see this hospital fall apart. I will continue to support this hospital an Its workers. From the two kids and mommy in room 420 :-) thank you for making us better and putting up with my four year olds attitude with a smile. I love you guys.
I went in today at 7:30 AM at the emergency room for my broken finger and the intake female kicked me out because I kept putting the time on the application she told me to sign. She said dont fill out the time , to just leave it out , well if it say on application to put name - date and time , then why cant I put the time on the intake application. , so I have to stay with a broken finger because they dont want anyone knowing how long they it takes them to perform there jobs . Smh
My psychiatrist stopped practicing, and the earliest I could get in to see a new one was in over a month, so I had a gap in my prescription for Adderall. I was referred to the Interfaith Medical Center ER by an Interfaith outpost for a stopgap. After being taken into a locked psych ward when I was not experiencing an mental illness event and I was not told I would be taken in to the ward, I was finally seen by a NPP, not a MD, and told that - Im not joking - only children have ADD/ADHD. She refused to fill a one month gap on my prescription, which I had the bottle for, and refused to countenance the truth that literally millions of millennials have ADD and depend on Adderall for its treatment. I wasted my entire day in a locked psych ward to listen to a woman who hasnt updated her education on ADD/ADHD since the 1990s accuse me of being drug-seeking. Totally incompetent and bizarre.
Good experience for what it is. The waiting room is packed and you never see the same doctor, but the price is right. The oral surgeon who saw me in the ED looked tired like zombie tired. He hooked me up with antibiotics and pain killers and referred me to a few dentists that could help me out.
Working for them as a Security Guard has been the worst experience ever the Staff doesnt care about you and your well being and they are so unorganized. If you dont do as they say they penalize you even if has something to do with something your not comfortable with. I wouldnt recommend this job to anyone
Its unexceptable that when you work a 8 hour job which you are paid for and pay your health insurance to go to a hospital and languish miserably for another 8 hours in a emergency room that has inadequate staff and no doctors and not be paid for! Just what am I paying health insurance for. With that sort of treatment its not too hard to understand why theres talk of closing that hospital down.
Terrible ER, the staff is not helpful, rude, too wlrries about them self, having sign conversation. I came in with a mental heath client and they did not assist me when I needed the assistance. They looked at me like I had five heads and told me I had to wait for the assign nurse. I would never bring any of clients here.
I absolutely hate this hospital. ESPECIALLY THE ER!! The bed side manor of the staff there rivals that of any horror movie. These people do NOT put the patient first. They barely do their jobs and they treat the patients as though theyre a nuisance. This place needs a complete overhaul. Please go elsewhere if you could avoid going here for medical care
THIS IS THE WORST HOSPITAL IN THE WORLD. THE TECHNOLOGY IS OUT OF DATE. THE STAFF IS CLUELESS AND THE DOCTORS MIGHT GET TO THE PATIENT IF THEY ARENT ON COFFEE BREAK. ONLY TAKE PEOPLE TO THIS HOSPITAL IF THEY HAVE A. PRESCRIPTION TO DIE THATS ABOUT THE ONLY THING THEY DO PRETTY DAMN GOOD.
These people dont give a **** about any one wile the patient is suffering they are to busy fighting and talking among each other..I am here for 1 hr on the bed they still have not took a look at me...I hope people choose a different hospitals... this is the emergency department....its a mad house...... nyp much better....
Interfaith Medical Center is on Atlantic Ave between Troy Ave and Albany Ave I. Brooklyn New York. Bed-Stuyvesant Area use to named Brooklyn Jewish Hospital. The upgrade to this hospital was was Essential to the community with plenty medical needs and wants. Dentals and children care
This hospital is UNPROFESSIONAL they should have closed this hospital when they were ..... My jewelry came up missing after I sat in the er for hours after the urgent care called the ambulance they took me to this hell hole I asked about my jewlery and was treated rude and never got treated at the er I was sent there cause the urgent care felt like I was having a mild stroke I could have left the er and fell out on the streets they didnt care NEVER GO TO THIS HOSPITAL ER its the worst and lets not talk about the night staff......
WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER I HAD TO GO LEAVE AMA BECAUSE OF THE NEGLECT IN CARE DO NOT GO THERE I STILL EVEN HAVE THE IV IN MY ARM. IMAGINE AFTER HAVING SURGERY AND NO ONE COMES TO YOUR CALLS OR YOUR YELLING THE NURSE HAD THE AUDACITY TO SAY SHE DID NOT HEAR ME YELLING (ANYONE WHO KNOWS ME KNOWS HOW I SPEAK LOUD ALREADY, SO TO SAY YOU DIDN’T HEAR ME LOL)
The nurses barely answer the bell. When there’s time for pain meds they come when they feel like it.Its like walking into death.so make the Bed and get ready to die.The only reason people go there is because there the only hospital that gives norcotics. My sister bell light was on for 1 hr and not one nurse assisted her. This hospital is very unprofessional and needs to be shut down.A whole waste of tax dollars and stupid doctor with a degree from off line.
Although The previous reviews werent good at all i could say i receive care like no other the staff was very patient with my mother , we received immediate care overall i would say they had a complete change because 3 or 4 years ago the service was horrible , would now recommend it to another individual

2022-06-20Interfaith waiting area is super disgusting!!!!! They leave food around and leave homeless people there freely. They are people too but just like everyone else once discharged you have to leave but they allow them to sleep. 2 guards came and did absolutely nothing. The customer service is poor they speak to people like animals well not me because I would flip but very poor customer Service. There are flies flying all around the hospital it is unhealthy and unfair to us patients!!! It is NASTY!!!! I’ll let y’all know how the back looks once I get there… It’s uncomfortable!!!

2022-01-13Dr Kathleen Eduard is a godsend. She and her staff treated my infant for Covid in the ER and they were wonderful. This hospital doesn’t have a pediatric ward anymore, they still took him in and went above and beyond for his care. She even called a few days later to follow up on him. What more can you ask for from medical professionals who put themselves in the line of fire every single day. I’m so grateful to them that my baby is healthy and happy again. Thank you.

2022-01-15My 83 year old mother, was left in a chair in the emergency room for 4 days. They totally ignored her. And when family members called hospital to find out about what was going on with her. We were lied to and hung up on. We were told that she was doing fine. When we finally got access to her. We found her sitting in a wooden chair, wet, pale, and hungry. And when we tried to sign her out of there we were given a hard time. We trust these people to take care of our sick. And they are treated with such disregard and disrespect. Its a shame that a facility like this is still allowed to operate.

2022-06-28Bad customer service and care. Most of the nurses and doctors don’t speak well English and when you ask them to repeat their selves they catch an attitude one doctor even stormed out of the room. The nurse didn’t know what was going on at one point she told me they were giving me medication then she said it was just saline solution but the doctor then came and said it’s medication. I told her it was burning running through my veins she said she didn’t care. Before I left the hospital I asked her to check if I had a fever she put the thing under my mouth apparently that machine isn’t working because I’m sitting at home in the bed with a fever of 102.When I ask for the name of the medication that was in the IV no one knew what it was she said she would write it down 😒.I was there from 4:30am until 12pm. I told all the people who checked me in that I have low blood sugar. They pump me up on loads of medication and antibiotics but yet didn’t offer me anything to put in my stomach.Late at night is when all the drunks and belligerence come into the hospital the staff is very nonchalant about how they act throughout the facility. When the EMTs first brought me in through the emergency door I saw one nurse sleeping in a chair. I get she’s I guess she may have had a long day but they were sick patients there that need care and it doesn’t look professional one of the staff members sleeping at the front desk.Overall I do not think this is a hospital that you would want to go to

2022-01-15This hospital sucks big time. My 82 year old mother was in the emergency room for 4 days sitting in a chair. She was pale, exhausted, soiled and hungry. She informed me that she kept asking for them to call me and they ignore her. The staff was unprofessional and i will never go back there. I would call sometimes they would not answer and when they did answer they would lie. They are a waste of space. I really think they need lessons on a professionalism.

2022-01-24I was really disappointed which my stay in the ER. I arrived on a Thursday and back Sunday 1 p.m. I was offered my third food tray. I was really disappointed in the supporting staff. My overall experience was horrible. Usually I give them high marks and I always say if you can make it out of the ER then you will really find out how good and outstanding the hospital real is. In the last days of September I was diagnosed with prostate cancer that has metabolize. I went in for back pain and given the news. I still believe that is cuz I was standing play Stand property when people heal and a lot of love is given to all no matter what you going to eat on that maybe

2022-06-05I have been here at this hospital with my grandson. The nurses and Doctors are the worse you can ever imagine in the medical field. The doctor who was attending to him just came in and requested an x-ray. We did it and now over 1 and 1/2 hours and still no one came to assist us. Everytime I went to the desk to find out whats happening I get a different story.. Please if you or your love ones is sick please do not go to this hospital, they dont know what they are doing. They just there for a paycheck.

2022-07-12This is the place to be if you like a compact, disorganized and loud place to wait while you’re trying to be seen. Many wandering patients coughing about, deranged and angry men creating a hostile environment and if it couldn’t get any worse..they forget to put me on the list to see a doctor post-check in and tell me just 3 hours after walking repeatedly past me. I didn’t expect a lot from BK, but now I know to trust my instinct. If this was a real emergency, I’d be dead by now.

2021-03-08Went their to get Covid 19 Vaccine. Hospital is neat and clean , All the staff is professional. They have every good system to provide the vaccine. They gives waiting numbers to all the persons, and call them one by one, fill up the forms and take them inside for vaccine. Nurses are very polite and helpful.
