A long-stand Saturday farmers market in upper Manhattan. Normally there are many small vendors presenting a variety of foodstuffs both raw and prepared or baked. However the vendor numbers are reduced due to COVID. Perhaps they will come back some day...The market needs to be visited early morning around 8 am to 9 am. Later it becomes really crowded and, of course, picked over. People feel free to to bring their dogs which create a traffic and trip hazard problem.
Very highly organized. Everyone is indeed practicing social distancing as well as wearing masks, and the merchants make sure that no one is grabbing or putting their hands on items being sold. As such, creating a welcomed shopping experience. And the true icing, nothing like purchasing fresh fruit, vegetables, and a variety of other items.
Place is very welcoming, always has been even with the new enforced covid-19 social distancing guidelines they are super organized with lines and respectful and the venders are very happy and nice and warm hearted to everyone. Overall love going to this location to get my greens and fruits. They also have other stuff like pies and cookies and even honey and liquor. Must check out.
This all-year market has everything from bourbon to handmade sausage, and its always a stop for us on Saturday mornings. A few large stalls reliabily offer greens and fruit, even on the coldest days, and a rotating cast of smaller vendors offer cheese, pickles, meat, fish, and more. For locals, the important stops are the clothing donation stands and compost collection.
Great farmers market in the neighborhood open Saturday mornings only. Most places are cash only and there is a drop off for compost. Plenty of in season local produces to choose from. There are also stands selling seafood, meats, dairy, duck, honey and bakery items. Just discovered some ny hard apple/pear cider there this week! 😀
Excellent Farmers Market. They have everything you could want and more, veggies, fruit, cheese, yogurt, fermented foods, honey, all direct from the farmers, plus delicious baked goods and pastries. They also have recycling for used clothes and shoes. Definitely a must visit if youre in Inwood on a Saturday morning.
Open year round every Saturday morning regardless of the weather, this farmers market is one of the perks of this neighborhood. Youll also find a clothing donation booth and theyll take your compost too. Kids can play in the rocky little park right next to it for a perfect Saturday morning getaway.
Has become a Saturday morning tradition. Feels like Main Street USA almost, greeting neighbors and dealing with vendors you get to know. Year round selections of fresh vegetables, meats and baked goods all produced in the Hudson Valley by Farmers dedicated to artisanal methods. Competitively priced. Apple vendors have stunning variety of classic, heirloom and cutting edge varieties for cheaper than you could find in a grocery store.
Inwood is lucky to have a farmers market every Saturday. Its a small version of what we see at Union Square or upstate in Rhinebeck (some of the same vendors are at all three). The Inwood Farmers Market is a big reason Inwood is a great neighborhood to live in. Come up and visit!
Its Busy and there is a special T-Junction (207th and Broadway). Banks within and several stores around. Pizza, meal, train A station and Terminal Bus 12 select station . Also we have inwood Park where several games can be played or watched eg Tennis, Baseball, Soccer, and many more. Its an overall lovely place to be.
I especially like the beef from Ox Hollow and Hawthorne farms. I ended up using some filet mignon and sirloin for Steak Tartare. There are a decent number of vendors in the summertime. Most vendors take card and theres a tent for exchanging EBT to tokens which can be used.

2021-08-31I compost there and love the selection of mushrooms at once of the stands. I find all my fruit and veggie needs met here. It’s a nice bike ride for me to get here along the Hudson River Greenway. I would also like to add that the gardens in this area are breathtaking.

2020-07-25Absolutely loves the community feel and engagement. Proud to offer Bronx wide composting with GreenFeen Organix and to see such enthusiasm about local food, and local food waste! Its so important that we work together to keep our spaces green. Such a Community treasure. Hopefully they get more outreach so more people feel welcome.

2022-02-27Still going strong all winter with so many and such diverse vendors. It is amazing sometimes that items sell out early and lines are the norm. Lines are going to start getting really long when spring arrives. Go early!

2020-11-14Today my first time to this market and I loved it! It is in a lovely location, one feels part of a welcoming community and pooh those farm grown veges. I filled my back pack with fingerling potatoes, bunches of spinach, onions, a bottle of craft vodka and a beautiful dried flower bouquet! There are many stalls full of a variety foods...going back next week.
