My experience with Island Federal was outstanding. This is the 3rd credit union that Ive used and it was by far the best experience of the three. In addition to having the most favorable consumer loan rates, my loan officer, Mr. Kylon Blackman, was so respectful of my time working with Allstate to get the all the paperwork in order for me as there were some coordination issues with getting the required paperwork from the seller.The icing on the cake was today when Mr. Blackman reached out to me to let me know that he redirected my first loan payment to my loan account as I erroneously made the payment to my savings account. Ive corrected future payments, however, Kylon informed me that he would check next month to make sure the payment posted properly.This is a very well run professional institution. I will certainly look to use Island Federal in the future because of their professionalism and their excellent service.
Opening an account as a teenager I didnt know much about banking or finance, Island Federal credit union in Bellmore we’re helpful , professional and always guided me in the right direction. A great place for anyone to open their first account ! Highly recommended

I refinanced with IFCU several times and each experience was positive , professional and went smoothly. Their rates are the best around and I’m always successful in lowering my rate with IFCU when it jumps to prime. Very convenient location as well.

I made a previos review with my other account but for some reason Google is blocking it but I went in person on 02/04/2022 at the Belmore branch at 450pm it was empty to inquire about a car loan and they informed me they do not do auto loans in branch only online. I then proceeded to call their number on their site to inquire about doing the loan over the phone and was told I could in fact go in branch. This whole situation is completely unprofessional and both staff over the phone and in branch should be trained to provide the same quality of service and have the same knowledge throughout. Completely unsatisfied with my whole experience of Island Federal.

2022-04-30Best bank (credit union) ever! Ive been a member for years and they never disappoint. Kathy, Kylon, and the whole team are always friendly, helpful, and patient. Their loan rates are the best around and they service the loans for the whole term. Great online features youd expect from larger banks. They also support the local community. Cant recommend them highly enough!
