Been getting a chicken, cheese, and bacon quesadilla every time I go and liked it. Changed it up the last time and got a Philly cheese steak and didnt like it that much. Also the fries are meh, but overall still good.
Very good food, and the staff is very nice and takes care of you well. My father and I have been using their take out service and now their outdoor seating. Indoor seating is also available, but we enjoy the outdoor option. Try the waffle with chocolate chips, ice cream, and whipped cream - its delicious!

I recently discovered this diner and Ive been every day for the last three days, its so good! Excellent food and exceptional service, love the spinach pie, affordable breakfast options and they have my new favorite salad.The consistency is however lacking, which is a shame because some of the food is decent quality, but its hit or miss.
This place is a really solid diner. The prices were reasonable and the food was very good. I definitely cant say anything really bad. The waiter was as attentive as they could be. They were extremely busy but still managed to get us in, sat, and serviced without a problem.
The food was underwhelming and although our server was friendly he kept on disappearing...even though the diner was rather empty at the time. I would only go back for dessert if anything.
Place goes under multiple names on ordering sites! Beware as their food may be the worst diner food Ive ever had: Harbor Smokehouse, Boom Boom Soups Salads & Sandwiches, La Mexicana Mexican Grill, Nick The Greek, Munchies To Your Door, and probably many many more I havent noticed. In general it is a good diner unfortunately my husband and I decided to have the Tuna salad platter and the Trio salad platter. The Tuna was stale and according to my husband the egg salad was not good either.
Waiter was great but i ordered chicken and waffles and was only brought the waffles when i asked where my chicken was she went to check on it and came back to tell me they didnt have fried chicken. Bit of a disappointment. Waffles were ok not the best.

Boneless buffalo wings were excellent! Good service, nice staff. The only complaint I have is the Turkey bacon was not good, it used to be... I think it depends on the chef who makes breakfast that day. But everything else here, I enjoy. The skillets for breakfast are excellent and so is their raisins and bananas French toast! Definitely recommend this place highly. Good quality food!
Highly recommend. Love this place. The salads to go are HUGE and delicious so I’m sure seating there they are big also and even better. The disco fries are fantastic. They sub for grilled chicken for me instead of chicken tenders which is super great. I love this place.

We started getting delivered because of Covid. They always missed something on our order. It could be an entree or the side that came with it. Salad dressing or soup. So we started to pick up meals personally and the same problem existed. We would check the orders and still miss something. They have never gotten 100% correct. Tonight it was the side potato with the French Dip. I assumed it was in the cardboard container and didn’t open it up. I am frustrated with this place. Shame because the food not bad.I wish the Centereach Diner stayed open.
Had the basic turkey club. Huge portion, very fresh ingrediaents. Crisp fries, seemed to be homemade bread. Partner had a rare burger, perfectly cooked and served with fried onion rings. Dont eat here often but never disappointed.
The food is very good, if you get to eat it while its hot. Unfortunately, too many mistakes were made during my last visit to allow me to do that. We dined in, and even though it was a busy Sunday late morning, we were seated relatively quickly after a short wait. We had requested a table, not a booth (because I find booth seating uncomfortable), and they sat us at one of those one side chairs/one side booth bench tables despite it. As they were busy, we just took the table as they didnt have anywhere else to seat us when we politely reminded them. We had some questions about a few menu items so we couldnt order right away. Once we placed our order, especially with how busy they seemed, I dont feel the wait for our food was unreasonable. Unfortunately, not only was the food not hot (mightve been waiting a bit to be served), we were missing some items when our orders arrived at the table. They were one pancake short on mine, forgot the home fries on the other, forgot our toast completely, we needed butter, and it was difficult to get our coffee refilled. While a server normally checks back shortly after the food is brought out, it took some time to flag ours down to let them know about the issues mentioned above. In that time, our meals were getting colder. I waited to show there was a pancake missing and because I like to eat my eggs with my toast. By time the corrections were made, my eggs were cold. We did mention our concerns but, we also told them we didnt want to make a big deal of it. Im not reviewing to bash the place, quite the opposite. I like this diner and want to see them successful for a long time. I now know to be much more proactive in notifying staff of issues they can be reasonably expected to rectify. I thought it important for future guests to know not be afraid of getting up to find a staff member if waiting will decrease your enjoyment of your dining experience. Had I just gotten up and walked to the server station rather than waiting to eventually catch someone as they were nearby, I might have been enjoying my food sooner. These are not deal-breaking issues, just the point where little mistakes resulted in a less than stellar experience. Ive found my takeout experiences so much more enjoyable than the times Ive dined-in. Their food is quite good, its definitely worth the trip.
I order from here on Uber Eats often and I usually get a salad or a wrap and everything is always great. The other night I placed an order but when it arrived it was incorrect (which doesnt usually happen). I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager, Louis, who was very apologetic. He sent out a new order and everything was great. I appreciated his professionalism and kindness. He made sure my new order was sent out quickly and correctly. I will definitely continue ordering from this diner. Thank you so much!
Kind staff. Food was ok, chicken franchise only brings 1 crab and no veggies? Mash potatoe was dull and fruit salad doesnt even bring whip cream for the kids. Overall ok experience
We enjoyed or visit! Huge menu with a lot of breakfast and lunch options. The veggie omelette was really good. Big portions. Food was quickly served as well. Staff was very friendly and were always checking if we needed coffee refills. They have their booths partitioned and they were cleaning well after each visit. Highly recommended!

We like the diner, as its close by. The meal we had, BBQ pulled pork was ok, large chunks of pork and not enough sauce. The BBQ pulled chicken wasnt that great. It included large dark meat chicken which isnt what we expected. Also not enough sauce. Didnt taste good when I reheated the leftovers. We know not to order these two items again.

Normally avoid delivering from this place cause of long long waits.Today I decided to eat here cause everywhere else had a long wait just to be seated and they werent that busy yet.1. No greeting by grumpy men at entrance.2. We had to find our waitress after sitting for 15 minutes.3. Food is causing immediate digestive issues and was not very tasty, even for a cheap diner.4. Front desk guy, literally cursing at a waiter on the floor.Only good part about this experience, was that the waitress tried fixing the situation.Where is the leadership here? Where is any customer service standards? Where is taste? Where is safety?

Food is usually good and the servers themselves are kind and hardworking, but wow service at the front counter is downright rude. There’s a man that typically is at the front is rude to people picking up takeout orders. He will go out of his way to help customers that dine in before he even acknowledges that takeout customers are standing there waiting to be helped.I picked up an order I called ahead for takeout. There was a man (he wasn’t wearing a name tag or anything otherwise I WOULD put his name down here) at the front counter and he said nothing to me when I walked in. He only made eye contact with me then looked the other way as if he didn’t see me. So I went up to the counter and introduced myself as picking up an order. He only said “Name.” In an annoyed tone and got my order.THEN as he started to ring me up, a dine-in customer came up to pay her bill and waited behind me. He immediately canceled out ringing me up and called her over to help her instead and essentially had me move to the side so he can help her DESPITE the fact he actually halfway through ringing me up? Don’t think I’ll be eating here anymore since there have been multiple occasions where I’ve received treatment like this before from here.

Generally very good food experience here. Of course I have to whine a little, its Google. Pizza burger ordered for delivery Sunday, 5/9 was good, except isnt it supposed to come with tomato sauce on it? It did not. The cheese was the only hint that it might be a little different than a regular burger.
Staff was nice , but the waiter seriously rushed us to order. And the food was below subpar. Absolutely no taste or flavor. And I mean don’t get me wrong, I do not expect diner food to not be greasy, but I expect it to not be swimming in grease either . My husband got a steak, it was basically raw and no taste, we tried to say something but they seemed too busy . We wound up bringing the food home to doctor it ourselves it was so bad.I do not recommend this.

Normally everything is great. I’ve orders multiple items from the menu with my wife and never have had an issue. Until today. Ordered Nachos (for delivery) and am very disappointed. Not leaving a review to bash but I want someone to see this and make an effort to do better. Nachos came in a big plastic salad bowl and was entirely filled with cheese, guacamole and everything it was supposed to be only is was a complete mess. Every nacho was soggy... too much of everything in the bowl. The cheese was light and airy like the cheese from the 7-11 cheese machine (not typical thick cheese for nachos) the guacamole was super thin and watery and mixing with the cheese making a cereal bowl of soggy chips with cheese and guacamole substituting milk. Tomatoes weren’t diced they were sliced into giant chunks. And everything was room temperature or below upon arrival. I would recommend using better ingredients next time and trying to compartmentalize the toppings on top of the nachos instead of just filling the bowl with cheese and guacamole. If you can’t pull this off then may I suggest just putting everything on the side as a standard for delivery for quality assurance sake so everyone has no one to blame but themselves for soggy chips. Please do better island lake. Very disappointed this time. I hope someone cares enough to make a change.

I like the food here but the service is poor. Today will make the third time they mess up my order. The lady with the red curly hair who rings you up is extremely unprofessional. When I told her my order was wrong, she immediately became defensive and gave me an attitude. I did not understand where the attitude came from because I spoke to her nicely. She proceeded to correct my order, after it was fixed she threw the bag of food at me and walked away. I’m pretty she doesn’t care, she seems like one of the owners to the diner. It suck because this is the only close diner to my house and there food is good. I don’t know if I’ll be going back.
Classic diner, good food, (I recommend the specialty omelettes & Reuben wraps) attentive fast service, always greeted by the same gentleman every time we go. They seat you fast even when it’s busy. My favorite diner by far.

How could anyone mess up breakfast? Food arrived cold, home fries had a bitter taste, waitress overwhelmed as she was the only one working the Saturday breakfast run she didnt even check to see if anything else was needed. Not sure what happened but this experience was different from my time spent during dinner, but not sure if I will be going back
They are usually good but two days in a row they got me messed up! They missed my sausages one day and because of my complaint on DoorDash the next day I’m sure they deliberately sent me uncooked grits and buttered and cut my bread with their hands! Disgusted

Local diner, came with 4 others after a movie and all pleasantly surprised. Service great, gratis pasta salad delicious. Extensive menu choices and everyo very pleased with entrees. Desserts at diners often look better than they are. Not so here. All excellent and a wide choice. Order go to the local movie and may become regulars.
Good food, nice staff. I love their Turkey bacon because its always nice and fresh. I usually go there for their breakfast hours. I only went there 2 times for dinner and it was pretty good but they were so busy one night that it took over an hour just to get the food. But usually for breakfast I never have any problems and food is always hot and fresh.

We ordered from here aka “harbor q smoke house” off Uber eats. Thinking this was a smoke house with real bbq. When we went to pick it up turns out it was a dinner that called them selves harbor q smoke house. The food was terrible. I’m so disappointed and feel like this is false advertisement or something. Every single thing we ordered was not good.
I just ate their Thanksgiving Burger and wow!!!! Its a delicious seasoned turkey burger with stuffing and gravy on a bun topped with two huge onion rings with a side of fries and cranberry sauce. I added two sunny side up eggs to my burger and let me tell you, that was one bad motherclucker! So delicious, cant wait to go back!
First time there but well be back. The staff super friendly the owner, server, busboy just very well run. Outside seating was Covid correct and if you go instead the booths are all separated with plexiglass so droplets stay in your area. The food was good and tasty and more than enough for the price.
The food is wonderful, the staff is friendly and helpful to the point where you feel catered to, and the atmosphere is pleasing. Spiro and Mike deserve awards for being some of the best wait staff on the island. The portions are enormous and its well worth every penny. Rather inexpensive as is. Excellent place, and if I could give it 10/5 stars, I would. The only bad experiences Ive had there have been in trying some of the more experimental dishes on the specials menu, but that is to be expected.

I really did love this place until I received my final doordash delivery this morning, from Island lake Diner. Ok i order some home fries, pancakes with sausage. Food was a liitle above cold regarding food temperature. They also give you syrup and jelly with ketchup and butter packets, here is where I ran into a bigger health concern. The smuckers strawberry packet I received was inside an already used strawberry packet. Another words someone used a packet and put a new packet ontop of used packet. Well lake diner sent the doubled up packet with all new packets. My wife called to advised them that we were unhappy that food was cold but the call was really just to let them know that they need to pay attention to what they are doing with food and condiments.So now the guy starts to yell at my wife which I think is wrong. We were not asking for refund or anything we just wanted them to be aware of the situation and pay attention. I would spend hundreds there especially since Covid and their food has been amazing. Especially the chicken with the stuffed crab filling but unfortunately this was the last time. I will ever eat from Lake diner and you know what is sad about it is the fact that all the guy had to do was say I apologize and thank you for letting us know but he didnt. So goodbye lake diner. Oh! I also called the suffolk county health supervisor and let him know about the situation.
WOW!!! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICEI ordered door dash , and received the wrong food. I had to go back and get my correct food - so I was a little annoyed. BUT they were so sweet and even gave my boyfriend and I cookies and such for the inconvenience. Things like this , will keep loyal customers. We appreciate the cookies and we will 100% be back. ( best sweet potato fries )

Growing up in Islip and having the luxury of great diners like ocanee I knew I had to find a great diner by my new place in Ronkonkoma, finally found it. This place has amazing food and great service and I will continue to support them for years to come. I’ve ordered so many times from them now and EVERY SINGLE TIME the food and service was on point. Would give 100 stars if I could bravo

The waitress Nicole is absolutely amazing. Always has a smile on her face, always super sweet, and always on point. My husband, son, and I come here and request her every Sunday. My son either gets chicken fingers or pancakes, husband gets Big Boy Breakfast with sausage pancakes and eggs, and myself sunny side eggs and extra sausage. ALWAYS delicious. Perfect size portions, and always comes out from the kitchen quickly.Overall, i am extremely happy with the service and if Nicole wasnt available.. would probably go somewhere else.
Me and my fiancé come here a lot. The food is always great, better than other diners around here, but the service is hit or miss. Last night we had the best server ever! Frank was very attentive, accommodating, and friendly, making his rounds enough that if you needed something you could find him with ease. Thank you Frank for an amazing experience!

Very nice and courteous service. We received a 20% off next check for waiting too long for our food (and it really wasnt that long at all) from the owner/manager. The only way he could have known about our wait was through our very sweet waitress. And we even told her that the wait was not that long. Great neighborhood place, a little pricey but worth it.

French onion soup tasted like SOAP. The steak sandwich ordered med rare was over cooked steakumms or spare parts from an old steak. Food missed the target by a mile. People somewhat nice. Amazing Greek salad with NO feta cheese really hit the vomit spot. You have got to be kidding me. This place is sure to close because of covid is gross and will make you sick. Prob a Starbucks coming soon to this spot. Repeat ????? NEVER

I get take out food here from time to time. When im working. But today was not good at all. Dont know who the cook was today? I ask for vegetable omelet with well done Sausages. The meat was raw in the middle. The omelet looked confused... the fried potatoes were greasy.. smh. Took the food back. And i was asked if i wanted something else or the same thing.. no miss i dont. Then top it off she was coughing coming from the back of the restaurant.. well I wont be eating there again 🙄

The food here is delicious and the variety is amazing they change their specials daily but unlike many other diners they continue to change to new and fresh ideas. The biggest issue I have with this Diner is trying to decide what I want to order. Their staff is friendly and wonderful and my kids always get a free cookie !!

This place is really hit or miss. I ordered to go chicken Mish Mash salad and some fries. They forgot the dressing and the fries were nothing but ends. It was like eating little fried croutons. I basically threw out $25. Somedays great some days terrible. Lately more terrible than great. Gave them another shot and they messed up my order again. Please Check the order before you give it to someone. I am done with them.
Been there before, very good food. The prices are very reasonable. Didnt like my waiter last night. Never came back to see if everything was okay or asked if we needed anything else or refill our drinks. Would still go back there
Decided to try this place. Waited over an hour for an order. Everything seemed fine and then as the order was being picked up, I get notified it was canceled. They closed. Never again.
Loved the breakfast menu. Different items than most diners.Food and service were excellent.
Took. My wife, daughter and 3 year old grandson for Sunday breakfast yesterday...we were seated right away. The placed just opened after a looooong remodeling. Looks great. The help seemed a bit confused at times but in all service was not bad. As far as food, the cook didnt smother the food with fat. , and the food seemed to be a notch above the typical greasy spoon breakfast. Eggs, pancakes and especially sausages were excellent. Highly recommend you give it a whirl
I think this will be the LAST time we visit this diner! Service is horrible and its sad because the food is really good. Every time, not just once, we wait to be seated then once seated we wait for someone to even notice us to even take a drink order. Its ridiculous. Went there last week, waited waited waited and even had to wait for the freakin check. Overpriced pancakes, gotta say! And when you say something, they dont even apologize. Ill take my business elsewhere.
Visited on Valentines Day and even with the influx of customers, the staff was friendly and attentive. We had a large group and everyones order was delivered correctly. Food was great. The owner was present and pleasant.
3 months ago I gave this place 5 stars, but since then its hit and miss. I went for lunch with my daughter one day and everything was great. Then the next day I went with my other daughters for dinner and it was not good at all. For starters, others had a bread basket but none for our table, then burgers were ordered and no Cole slaw or pickles were brought. The burgers were rubber, I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and the portion was too small (which this is the first time ever that Ive complained about a diner portion being too small) . I will not return to a place where I need to chase down a server to get a complete meal as described in the menu. Im done!
A wide variety of well prepared dishes & desserts. Reopened under new management since I was last there, the staff was very friendly, service prompt, large portions, and if youve never had fabulous fried chicken & waffles, this is a must try. Will definately be returning soon.
Good food, big portions
Island Lake Diner is my favorite place to go eat with my daughter. The staff treat us like family, and are so sweet to my daughter. We never leave without my daughter giving a few hugs and kisses to her favorites and of course, a big cookie! An amazing place to take your family. Quick friendly service and awesome food. Kids eat free with some of the meals!
This is a good little diner. They give you a ton of food. Personally the best value is the wraps. Its around $12 or so. You get a soup, coleslaw, pickle, your wrap and french fries. You are guaranteed to bring food home

The foods good, no argument there. If youve been to this diner in The 90s this is a full 360. Unfortunately, their potential advancement in technology is a complete failure! I recently ordered via the app and they forgot to take my order to the kitchen, ended up waiting 20 minutes for food that should have been ready upon my arrival. Today I did it and was charged the 18.46 for the food, when I arrived the guy said to me Ive got nothing in my computer so it never came through. I asked him well then can I get a refund because obviously I was charged as per your app. His response you have to contact them? Who is them? All I wanted was a refund, instead I basically got told that I was an idiot. Doesnt matter how good the food is if the customer service is sucks.... 1 star
Great place on weekends while its busy but awful during the week. Never had too many bad experiences but when your served extra greasy food that tasted microwaved, warm coffee and sauces that look like they came off someone elses table it makes you not wanna go back. Its a 50/50 with this place in my opinion but worth it for the good days.
Worst service I ever experienced. It took 45 minutes to get a well done cheeseburger n pancakes, the pancakes were cold n the burger was raw. To add to horrible service the Mgr was clueless. It must be very hard to run a diner when ur head is up is but. Save time. $$$ n stress n go anywhere else to eat.
Chicken was pink, fries were very dry and basically stale, the French toast was still frozen in the center which made them soggy so I’m starting to think they don’t actually fully cook their food, the carrots in the pasta dish were the size of sausage, like big one not the small breakfast ones.
Can only rate breakfast which is what we usually have. But i find the staff friendly and the service very good. Prices less than almost all diners we go to. My only gripe, green peppers (not many) in the home fries. Do not like green peppers, can make things taste bitter. Wish they would use red, orange or yellow peppers. Coffee is good. Try it more than once, ANY restaurant can have an off day.UPDATE have gone back several times. Service and staff are still top notch, we mostly go for breakfastMy gripe is still about the home fries. They do not come put HOT even after asking for well done. They ate burnt on the bottom and raw in the middle. I hope they improve this cause its a deal breaker for us. UPDATE went today. It was early and the table side was pretty empty. Our coffee came quickly and order taken. Took a bit to get coffee refilled, once it started to fill up. Our server passed by but didnt look in our direction, caught the eye of a bus person who brought coffee and came back. Still the home fries were lacking and we dont like French fries for breakfast but we will go again since the price is very good. Give it a try.
Met the owner last nite. This is def one of the best places around to get some great food. The menu is staggering for a diner. Been coming here pretty steadily, never diaappointed..always fresh,pricing reasonable.
Be very careful when ordering Door Dash the price of the order changed and they re-charge my card without my approval. I called DoorDash about the issue and they said the restaurant decided to change the price of the order and charge me more money.The burner arrived raw food was terrible
NICK THE GREEKS FOOD IS AMAZING EVEN AT MIDNIGHT! Ordered via ubereats around 11pm and unfortunately had to drive over and pick it up cuz there were no uber drivers around. BEST DOLLARS EVER SPENT ON GREEK FOOD!! Nick, this food is well proportioned, delicious and jus all around made with love. Thank you and I will be back!!
Great diner in Ronkonkoma. Open late and serves the usual diner staples. Service was great and food was good. I would stay away from their version of potato skins as they essentially just cut a potato in half and added toppings. Makes it very hard to eat, and the potato can be a bit tough.Great mozzarella sticks and French fries tho!

Place used to be good. However the food quality has gotten worse, and proces have increased. Very disappointed with my recent order. I feel like I overpaid for ok not so good food. They also did not include any dressing or the soup that the meal is supposed to come with the meal. Never eating here again. Such a shame because it is less than a mile from my house.
Our Group Have Been Coming Here For a Few Months. We Are Usually a Large Group (20-30) And Everything Has Been Good So Far. We Get a Waitress Who Takes Individual Orders And Gives Us Individual Checks. Our Glasses Are Always Refreshed With Iced Water Or Soda Of Choice And Our Cups Refilled With Hot Coffee. Our Appetizers Come Quickly And Our Meals Are Brought Out Hot. There May Have Been Some Instances That Something Was Forgotten... But They Are Always Quick To Resolve Any Issues Without Question. I Cant Even Imagine How Overwhelming a Huge Group Can Be And Ive Got To Say... For Those That Complain About Bad Service...Everyone Has An Off Day. Did YOU Greet Them With a Smile? Today I ordered a new york wrap I asked for cheddar cheese they put swiss instead and I asked for 8 dollars for change and the delivery driver kepted looking at my change and kepted asking for his tip so I felt obligated meanwhile there down the block from my job and have the nerve to charge 2 dollar tip spoke with GUS he said next time hell give me 10% off my order but there wont be a next time .

Food is great, we always get something different and its all delicious. Service is very inconsistent though. The owner/manager sometimes waits tables and while he is a very nice man, hes a terrible waiter. The real waiters are awesome.
Just re-opened, cute place. nice inside, good food, fast service, very nice staff.... went there because my sister in law was there with my 4month nephew who was fussing and crying because he was hungry and his mom had forgotten his formula.. and the staff was so nice, they kept coming over to talk to him and make him laugh.. we apologized a few times for the noise (there was maybe 4 other tables, and even though no one complained or anything, we didnt want to be that table that disturbed everyone else) and they were so nice and understanding and told us to not be silly because it was not a big deal.. some places have no patience or tolerance for young children and crying.. definitely would return, and recently found out they deliver which is even more awesome.
I was expecting a nice meal from this diner after the reviews I heard but it was the complete opposite. The French onion SOUP had no soup! It was a literally a bowl of onions. Disgusting! And not to mention the bread we got on the side was stale as ever and the breadsticks were all crushed. I would not recommend this diner to anyone.
Good food, gigantic salad that i had to take home. Held up to eating the following day so that does mean they used fresh ingredients. Prices are typical of a diner but their food quailty is much better than average. They certainly can compete with dedicated restaurants that only focus on one style if cooking. There breskfast is also quite good. But dont take my word for it, try it fir yourself.
Delicious foodReally miss the option of eating outside as Covid increases.I see they installed plexiglass between the bench seats BUT they are not set up as every other seat, Not 6feet apart and I felt like I was breathing in everyone’s air.Saw a lady get up without a mask on and go to the bathroom. Way to chancyI won’t be back again until Covid is over.
Good food good service and never a long wait during busy hours. Their BLTs are very good especially thier bacon.. Its perfectly done and theyll cook it to your likings if you ask also thier burgers are very good! And big portions of food so you might have leftovers and prices are reasonable.
As far as diners go in the surrounding area (Lake Grove Diner, Suffolk Diner, etc.), this one is definitely one of the best. Great food, well priced. I recommend the breakfast skillets. Owner is friendly and accommodating.
We went to go see my daughter we shopped and then we were hungry so I asked her wheres the nearest diner and she said ooh theres a real good one around the corner so thats where we went and it was delicious 4@ table 54
So happy that the Diner is back. Mostly updated, sadly not the bathrooms. but,The food was good. I was thrilled that they had my fav. spinach pie with the yogurt dip. Our Waitress Emily was a real sweetie.Cant wait to go back again. It was nice they had 3 tvs on & they all had different channels on & none of them were sports! YES!!

Attentive staff. Quick service. My husband had ham with his eggs that was so tender. French toast xlg slices were light and cooked perfectly. Bacon was just right. Coffee perfect. We are passing through otherwise this would be a family regular place. You have to try it!!

Tonight I ordered from harbor wings, which is a ghost store that is actually Island dinner with terrible wings you would expect from a dinner. Like a bad boyfriend, the signs were all there I just didnt see them. I called to place the order and the man on the phone said order through grub hub or uber eats. Red flag! I said no pick up. My GPS cant find harbor wings because its in NYC and closed. Strike 2? I put in physical address and I think its in a shopping center next to Island dinner but it brings me to island dinner. I go inside and tell two men behind the counter, I am here to pick up harbor wings is this it? They said doordash or uber. I say neither. I called. Confusion ensues. However this is a lively dinner not some death shack in the woods. After two older gentlemen cant figure it out they get someone from the back. Meanwhile my food is sitting on a empty table getting cold. They said 20 minutes I was there in 10 minutes. After almost $40 for slightly warm, chewy wings come out. The skin is so slimy and so much fat. Try deep frying if you want to use the worst quality wings. Like many failed relationships this one was doomed from the start, i was just blinded by buffalo sauce. Like usual.

Another great diner. So much to choose from but the gyro hubby had was huge and he throughly enjoyed it. I went with grilled swiss on rye with fries and brown gravy on the side, dee-lish. The service was quick but youre not rushed. Or waitress had a great sense of humor which is always a bonus 😊When you pay your bill up front, they say thank you more than once before you step out. I recommend you see for yourself if youre in the area. You wont be disappointed, PROMISE.

Island Lake Diner is taking the name of multiple different food places on DoorDash like harbor q and harbor wings, even though neither of those places are available anywhere close to me.They advertised themselves as these bbq places but when you actually get the bbq food it’s usually undercooked and completely smothered in bbq sauce lacking any actual flavor, this business practice of pretending you’re another restaurant when you’re not is wrong and I’m pretty sure it’s illegal to advertise falsely as another restaurant.Island lake diner isn’t even very good by a normal diners standards, their burgers have no seasoning or flavor, and come out tasting worse then cafeteria ground beef. I would highly recommend steering clear of this place, even if you like diners there are plenty of better diners within a few miles of this one, it’s beyond me that this place is usually crowded and somehow decently rated, the face that most people don’t see the horrible quality and quickly thrown together food they’re eating is mind boggling.

The WORST diner on Long Island. Especially for take out. They dont care what you order or how you order it. Youre getting it the way they want to you to have it. This is the 5th consecutive time our order has been completely wrong. Never again!!! We gave them chance after chance after chance. So much for giving the local businesses our business. Quite honestly its just not worth the stress and aggravation .

Food was very good and came out in a very good time. Waitress was nice but was very busy. But thats expected for a diner thats busy. I would of gave it 5 stars but waited to lobg for the check. But definitely will go back.

While waiting for the check and to get our food wrapped, they gave us some biscottis. They werent very good - I know biscottis are supposed to be hard...but not break your teeth hard! It didnt bother me all too much as I didnt attempt to eat another one.

2022-03-20I havent been to a Diner in a while and this place didnt disappoint. The food was good as I had the chorizo as skillet and it was quite good. It was very busy when we arrive and the service was a little slow but understandable with how busy it was.

2022-07-03This diner is normally so good. It’s been awhile since I’ve been there. It was busy when I arrived with my group. We were seated right away. It took a while for our waiter to get to our table. He only checked on us once. I got their Athenian wrap with that you get a soup or salad and coleslawThe soup tasted a little water downed. The coleslaw was ok. The wrap was greasy, the fries were good and the dressing for the wrap was very good. The other people with my group got breakfast items the pancakes they said were very rubbery and the waffle tastes sour. The bacon was crispy which they wanted. It could have been because they were busy but this diner has now moved to the bottom of our diner to go to

2022-02-15My favorite diner on Long Island. My friends and I go there on semi-weekly basis. Very good food, nice selection, reasonably priced and excellent service. Friendly and helpful staff. Busy too but you never have to wait long if at all. Their take-out is pretty busy as well.

2022-05-15I want to by saying I’ve been eating here for over 10 years. We frequent the diner regularly, we supported fully during Covid pandemic. Over the last couple months service and quality as been declining rapidly. This morning we visited the establishment, ordered our food and beverages. Food took unusually long to come out, but it was a little busier than normal. When food arrived it burnt and left uneaten. Not one water refill nor Coffee refill for my wife. Was not asked once how the meal was or why food was left untouched. Waiter came with the check busser took the plates. I wrote on receipt how bad the food and service was and no one seemed to care. My wife will not not tip having worked in service before. So against my better judgment my wife left a tip. Hostess looked at receipt read comments took payment and said have a nice day.Having staff and/or ownership not care about the outcome of a longtime customers experience and the outcome of a product they are feeding you is completely inexcusable. The establishment has turned into a money grab with no pride into what’s being served. Eat with caution or order and not eat at all.Honestly I hope they resolve the issues or sell to someone with integrity and pride in what they do.

2022-05-07The food is OK. Dont get me wrong, everything is freshly prepared, but it can be hit-or-miss, depending on what you order. We mostly go there because my husband is crazy about the ribs. They are meaty and flavorful. I had the teriyaki vegetables, and they were so salty they made my eyes water. The quesadillas were not exactly dry, but dry-ish and not overly flavorful. On the plus side, the wait staff are all very nice and attentive, and the portion sizes are decent. Prices are average.
