Great experience and easy transaction. Firm with prices, but very good quality. The people were great and helped me choose the right car for my wife for Christmas (Mini Cooper Clubman 2014). The dealership was clean and child friendly & autistic friendly (child w/special needs). Tony and the manager (I forgot his name) both provided excellent serivice.
Today I purchased a brand new tiquan, I worked with Danielle who walked me through every step of the process with ease. I was at the dealership for a very short time and can definitely say Im walking away happy with a beautiful car for my wife. Thanks again, look forward to coming back again.
The service department is the worst there is always appointment available online no one answer the phone they pick and choose what they want to do for the day if you have a engine problem has to be diagnose goodluck you’re not getting that done you might be lucky to get a oil change done in one hour and they will tell you to go somewhere else and get it done if you cannot wait very bad customer service and be careful they will upsell you check out your prices before you go there they always under new management seems like they cannot find the right person to do the job
Great cars, Great price, and GREAT people!!! The staff at Island Volkswagen is very friendly and courteous. Danielle, Sue, and Tim treated me like family. Rest assure that I will be a return customer. They did their best to give me the best deal and make sure I was happy with my purchase. I have leased many vehicles on Staten Island and this was by far my best experience. The salesperson Sue was knowledgeable and went above and beyond to get me in the right vehicle. The team of professionals at Island VW are great, and James is awesome. This was not my first time bringing my car there for repairs, and it was not the first time I was impressed by their service. They explained what needed to be done, I needed a new transmission and gave me good sound advice and quality service. I cant wait to pay off my car, my next vehicle purchased will be at one of the Island Autos on the Island, maybe Island Hyundai.
Danielle and her teammate were wonderful.They were kind, capable and competent. I recently went to VW of Staten Island for a scheduled oil change and was greeted by Dawn, my service advisor who couldn’t have been any nicer! She immediately came out to greet me and to check in my truck. The turn around time was far better than expected and before I knew it I was called to come pick up my vehicle. That’s what I call great service!
Under the current situation (COVID) the service department provided me with a safe environment for dropping my car off and picking it up. The service was efficient and my issue was resolved. The communication throughout my service was exemplary —text messages work wonders!!! As a previous Customer Service Manager - keeping the customer informed is one of the best ways to have a pleasant service experience wanting the customer to come back and that is the goal!
Let me say Danielle here at Island Volkswagon runs a tight great ship. She is one of the most knowledgeable volkswagon sales persons I have ever done business with. Brought our car to be serviced here a few weeks ago. As we were busy with the holidays I havent had time to write a review. The service rep was friendly enough, communicative. But our car was held for almost 60 hours for what essentially was an oil change. Our service rep informed us day before picking up the car that they wanted to drive it 1 more time the following day to ensure the alert I brought the car in for was taken care of. After my fiance picked the car up and brought it back home we found the center console door latch broken, a personal item (which doesnt have any significant monetary value) missing, and worst of all our daughters car seat base was unlatched, placed back but never hooked up again. A few of her socks and toys which were on the back seat were on the floor covered in dirt. We have a coup, so why anyone was in the back seat, removing a car seat base, spending anytime back there at all for what was an oil change is really mind boggling. Absolutely, and obviously, zero care for safety. Ya think bringing your car to a corporate dealership to receive service you would also receive a certain amount of professionalism. And yes the staff made sure to program their favorite radio station. I could care less about the console door, the missing item but removing and not replacing a car seat base is absolutely horrifying.
My little brother got into a car accident and we bought it to Island Volkswagen, Mr Alvarez was helping us throughout the whole process, he was very professional and walk us through the whole process over pair and what to expect with the insurance hands down great customer service by Mr Alvarez.
I took my car to calibrate or reset blind spots monitors to this WV Staten Island dealer. I was there twice and never had pleasant experience. You should expect waiting standing, no chairs, waiting area is extremely small. Impossible to accommodate disabled person. The problem with blind spots monitor was never resolved. I explained the problem, they just run health report, did not even drive my car to actually check for problem with blindspots. They returned my car. I came back after checking my blindspots right away and addressed the same problem, but was assured report is fine! It’s has nothing to do with report, just drive the car and and verify the problem. They never did. Very dismissive and unprofessional customer service. This WV needs a lot of training, the technicians are parts changers and not interested to address the problem. They don’t listen to the customer! That was my 2 and last time at WV of Staten Island. Never again. There are other places just across the bridge, excellent customer service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! I gave SI WV a try and became very disappointed. Such a shame SI WV!
Awesome experience. Havent been in Island VW before. Brought my Tiguan for 40K service. Uniquely great experience at every step: neat and nice place, convenient location, thoughtfully adapted to current extra safety requirements. And most importantly, you deal with superb staff, so friendly, empathetic, knowledgable and supportive. James Roces, fantastic person and expert at his work, patiently listened to all my questions, understood all concerns, provided with all explanatory details, even helped me with the most efficient route of getting back home while the car is in service. Reliability, professionalism and support! Thank you guys for doing such a great job! (BTW, for anyone from Lower Manhattan, train + ferry, provides an unexpectedly convenient and fast route to/from Island VW).

My 2021 Volkswagen Atlas had a recall and I needed to bring my vehicle in ASAP due to the severity of the recall. I was not having much luck in getting an appointment right away instead I had one days later which would have caused me to be without my vehicle for a couple of days. Stressed out I called Island Volkswagen on Staten Island and Spoke with Mike. I expressed to Mike my worry and situation being I have children and needed my vehicle. Mike listened with care and provided me with an appointment the same day! I brought my vehicle in and Mike provided me with a loaner for the remainder of the day. Two hours later my vehicle was done and thankfully it did not need the replacement part that was recalled. Thanks to Mike I did not have to go without my family vehicle for days. THANK YOU MIKE & ISLAND VOLKSWAGEN For Your GREAT QUALITY CUSTOMER CARE!
Very professional knowledgeable staff. First service in this location, it was exceptional. I was greeted by Larry who took my info and explained everything that was covered in my contract. He told me to wait in their waiting area, while Haki was doing the service on my car.After it was finished, Haki explained every detail of my car. I left the place very comfortable after everything was done. Definitely my second time will be this location.
This was the quickest and most flawless experience at a dealership that my family and I have ever had!!!! Danielle Mantone, Tim and everyone working there were one nicer than the next. Everyone here was working so hard on Memorial Day and once our car arrived, we were in, signing papers and out in no time. I would recommend Island Volkswagen to everyone I know.
Great service. Great deals. Ive had bad experiences with other dealerships and by far this has been the best. Danielle and Richie were both so helpful and accommodating. I ended up getting the price I wanted for a car that is filled with all the bells and whistles that you could ever want. Just bought a car from them 3 weeks ago. Very professional and amazing service. I worked with Tony and Richie to buy my car and subsequently when my garage punctured my tire. Fast service and wonderfully kind people. They really work with the idea that you will be a lifelong customer and it really shows. I always appreciate the handshake and warm welcome and they love my car just as much as I do. As such, they treat it so nicely that it could almost be mistaken for theirs to the untrained eye. If you want great service, take your business here! They have more cars than it appears as they have another lot with more cars a little further out. If you call in advance to see it, theyll bring it out and have it on the lot or, in my case, they brought it to the hospital so I could test drive it on my break. Highly recommended dealership.
I have never had an easy service experience at Island Volkswagen. In the last 6 years, I have always had to go back the same day or within a day to have them fix something they forgot to do. This time they checked my tire pressure, which they said was fine and I made a comment that my tires always look low, and within 36 hours my tire pressure light came on. What are the odds? The only reason why I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because they worked on my car quickly for the first time in 6 years.
I leased a 2019 Atlas from Daniella. She was excellent. I had a payment and a down payment that I wanted to spend and they were able to make it happen. The finace guy was also great. There was no shady shake down for more money. He was great. They kept giving us waters and coffee due to them getting our new car. I totally recommend them for you lease or purchase.
I recently had the one year service. The appointment was made the night before on their website. They were very professional when it was dropped off and addressed all of my concerns. The car was ready before lunch and everything was done perfectly. Island VW service is great.
Absolutely amazing experience... Sue took me for a test drive in a car I already wanted, Ralph went out of his way to get me the best price possible, while adding on a year of free maintenance and taking care of my first month.After having some issues with insurance companies, Sue helped me get the best rate possible. She spent over an hour calling companies and getting quotes.If youre interested in purchasing a Volkswagen of your own and live in the area, look no further. This is where you want to be!
My car was due for inspection and oil change. Came to this dealership hoping it will be less packed and with better service than the one in Brooklyn. Nope!Scheduled a service appointment online. Drove in. Jam-packed lot, no room to park a car. After circling around for 5 minutes end up double parking on the street. Went straight to service advisor who without asking for any information promptly advised me to take a sit in the waiting area and someone will be with me shortly. After waiting for 30 minutes for someone “to be with me shortly” I just left since it did not look like this place can get anything done in reasonable time.PS. Kudos to a mechanic who, about 10 minutes into my wait, came to get me so I can move my car into the newly opened up spot on the driveway and avoid a ticket. Unfortunately, I did not ask his name, but it seemed like he does care about customers.
What I liked, or perhaps LOVED, was that Sue really took her time to answer questions, even when I kept repeating myself. She really made me feel comfortable when discussing the car and honestly, throughout the whole visit there. I didnt feel forced at all to make a decision about the car, like I have experienced at other dealerships in the past.When I was ready to leave with my new car, she offered additional help and said that she is reachable by phone if I do have questions because the Tiguan SEL does have a lot of features. Thank you and I absolutely love this car !
The short story: my car start shaking when cold , then CEL showed up. I scan car with Bluetooth car scanner, I gave me a misfire error message. I bought 4 NGK spark plugs and 4 Bosch ignition coils, replace them, but nothing was changed, car still running rough, same CEL and error code. So I gave a car to VW dealership, they test it couple hours, then gave me a call to say that I have to replace spark plugs and ignition coils and gave a price( about $500 ), I said that I replace them couple days ago ( mechanic probably didnt even opened the hood i guess ) , they said I bought bad parts. Im pretty sure it was good parts. Mechanic didnt offer me anything besides replace plugs and coils, I paid $163.31 for nothing and took my car back.I was disappointed of the service.
Wanting to buy my next vehicle locally I stopped into Island VW back in February. Everyone there was very responsive and accommodating. I ordered my new Golf R and the entire process went very smoothly. From Lee and Tim who guided and assured me along the way that all was moving along and the vehicle build order was in and moving forward - to Danielle who did all the leg work and brought me up to speed on all the car features during the delivery process and made sure the car was presented in 100% prime condition - to Ralph in financial who made it all work! Brought my car in for service and the sevice rep was so kind and caring. He was very respectful and helpful. I needed an oil change and recall. The car was done in no time. They recommended windshield wiper and no pressure to purchase but I did. Definitely recommend for purchasing and servicing your Volkswagon.
Took my car in for service here twice and I couldn’t be more satisfied. My first trip here was for the Passat fuel pump recall. After getting the run around in Brooklyn with the dealership telling me I would have to wait two months to get the work done I called them and was told to bring the car in the following day. The work was done within a week and they were even apologetic that it took so long.After my positive experience with the recall I was sold on this place so a year later when my car started acting up again I brought it to them. The issue was hard to diagnose so when the first repair failed they not only credited me the amount of the initial repair but gave me a loaner until they could find the real problem. Not sure if I can mention prices here but the final cost was nothing you would expect from the “stealer”. I almost never take my cars to the dealer for anything but after my experience with them I’ll be giving them my business for even an oil change and i’ll definitely be buying my next Volkswagen there. Great job guys! And Larry in service is the best! Very friendly and kept me updated throughout both my visits.
I come from Manhattan every six months and go to island (Staten Island) Volkswagen because the service is impeccable. They know me by name and they always do a great job and I wouldn’t trust anyone else to service my car. Hands down they are the best and customer service is 100%Gary Martori

Best customer service ever ! All the staffs are awesome and helpful. Most importantly , they are very patient. Danielle was very very friendly and cooperative. All of them worked very hard to get me and my wife a car in our budget. If you go there, they won’t send you back empty handed.
My family and I couldnt have picked a better place to purchase our first car. When we arrived, Al greeted us quickly and was very attentive to our needs. Despite some kinks along the road, the staff was very accommodating and very helpful. Both Al and Rodney are very friendly and do genuinely care about making sure their customers are happy. All in all the best car buying experience I have ever had. Started off a little rocky when no one greeted me when I entered the show room but I waited it out and Im very glad I did. A few minutes later I was approached by David LaMonica. He was very nice and apologized many times for my wait.David handled my transaction from start to finish. I got the best deal I have ever gotten on a car. They have late night hours and are very willing to work around your schedule. I am very happy with my new car and couldnt have had a better experience during my buying process.I would recommend that anyone looking for a Volkswagen buy their car from open road Volkswagen.
I actually worked a little with both Richard and Bianca. Both advisors were very accommodating as always.Richard went above and beyond to obtain a loaner vehicle in order for me to get to work by contacting other employees and explaining my situation in order to get me the assistance that I needed. Richard also reached out to Tim to give me a couple lifts where I needed to go and Tim got me to each location swiftly and safely.Richard was very personable and professional and even remembered me even though I haven’t been in to the dealership for quite a while.The car was swiftly diagnosed and ready to be fixed early the next morning. At that time, Bianca went over everything with me and both she and the service technicians had me in and out of the dealership much earlier than I had anticipated. Bianca was very sweet, polite, and professional.With all of the staff’s professionalism, concern for my time and personal needs, I will be sure to come back to Island Volkswagen in the future and recommend it to anyone in need of quality service.
Last week I leased a Jetta and the customer service was outstanding. Ashley helped me throughout the entire process and no one played games with prices. I told them my budget and they didnt waste my time. They showed me cars within that range and were extremely reasonable. You can tell the place works as a team very well. Renata also sat with me and helped me throughout the process. The staff truly cares about there customers and making sure everyone has a renewable experience.
I usually do not write reviews but having witness the exceptional customer service my friend received , I felt compelled to let everyone know how awesome this place is. My friend was being helped by Maria Ruiz who was friendly as well as knowledgeable and took real good care of my friend!. My lease is up this winter and I will definitely be coming back to experience this for myself.
Please beware before you purchase a car from this dealership. I checked the price of the car three times before purchase, went to the bank with the salesperson to cut the check FOR THE PRICE STATED, and then verified the purchase price again. But when it came time to purchase the car, I was told they had made a mistake and hadnt factored in additional taxes and registration fees, despite my asking and double checking this. I dont know how many times they run this lie/scam, but I dont want anyone else to go through this. I also had to wait almost six hours during this process, while they attended to other customers. I was told they would make this up by throwing in extras to make up for this mistake, but that never happened. Lastly, I was told by text that they would see what else the manager could do and I never heard back. I was told a total of three major lies over five days, and three lies is too many for them all to be true mistakes. Please dont go to this dealership alone and please consider going to another dealership. I was devastated after this experience.
It was a great experience dealing with both Stu and Jason as well as the rest of the team from Open Road VW of Staten Island. I was so surprised at how friendly and easy to deal with everyone was. It was definitely not your typical car dealership. I went in assuming I would have to deal with pushy salesman and it was COMPLETELY the opposite. It was such a relaxing experience compared to what it is usually like buying a car. Will definitely be going back in the future and I highly recommend anyone in the market for a new car!!
Last June we leased a new Atlas at this dealership and Q, the salesperson, was amazing from start to finish. We worked out the deal and had the car the same day. Q even delivered it himself to my front door!More recently I went in for maintenance and the service I received from them was also top notch! I was in and out!
This was my first time purchasing a car, and when I entered the show room I was met by Rodney. We talked about the details of the car and he was very accommodating. I was really sold by the test drive experience. I was told to trust the car, and now when I drive I feel fully comfortable in my car. When we sat down and worked the numbers we were able to get my monthly payment around where I needed it to be. When the vehicle was purchased Rodney explained the ins and outs of my car and helped me set up my preferences. Overall, I had a great experience and I love my car!
Leased the truck in July, got the warming light that the oil is low. Called and was informed to just reset it to factory settings. Did that and next week light came back. Took it to the dealer and was informed that oil was almost empty. But when truck was delivered, they told me that oil change after 10000 miles or one yer? Truck has 4 months and not even 3000 miles? Not happy customer

They are fully informed and put no pressure on you whatsoever. From these two I went to Joe to finalize the deal and it couldnt have gone smoother. Pleasant experience at the Staten lsland dealership. I called the dealership while at another Volkswagen in Manhattan. I gave Mitch the specs and price point I was willing to spend on a vehicle I wanted. Within minutes he told me they had a car in stock and could match the price the Manhattan dealership quoted me. Came in the following day and walked out a happy customer. No haggling, went for a test drive, Mitch was humorous and quick. When we crunched the numbers, Ralph was to the point and the price came in at what we were quoted. They even took care of the lease return on our Ford vehicle. Highly recommend buying from this dealership!
I bought my 2011 CC sport at Volkswagen open road and always bring it there for service or anything that may be slightly off about it. I want to compliment Christopher Walsh in the service department for his promptness, excellent communication and always does his best to communicate with the client on the needs of the car. He is trust worthy and a person of his word. If you ask a question or need something done to he get right back to you with a phone call asap. I have purchased many cars in other dealerships and had to deal with the service dept.- NOT had a good experience!! CHRIS- coodos to you and your service staff!!! Thanks so much and the nice clean car after my service is awesome. Especially that I have two little one who are not so neat. Will definitely recommend !!
Bianca and the service staff did an exceptional job and went above and beyond to take care of my Tiguan, so much so, that they actually found another issue with the truck that I wasnt initially aware of. Jimmy at Island VW was nothing short of a pleasure to work with. From the moment he approached me he was willing to work with me to get me into the vehicle that worked best for me at the price I was most comfortable with. The entire sales staff works together and the managers are straightforward, honest, and fair. This dealership is down the road from my house and I don’t hear enough good things about them. The entirety of Staten Island should be made more aware of this gem of a car dealership. They have earned my business for my present and future VWs.
Great service. Very thankful for Renata. She seriously helped me out tremendously i would recommend anyone getting a car to call her directly or ask for her. I called because i was over miles and had a 1 in a half left she had me in a new car the same day and a price not much more.
I have utilized the services of this dealer multiple times in the past and their poor customer service just keeps getting worse. They don’t answer their phones and dont follow up with you at the times they promise, not so they respect your time. I’ve had an agent hang up on me more than once which is simply appalling. If you don’t know the details of your warranties or don’t have at least some familiarity with cars, they will try to manipulate you into repairs that don’t need to be done (especially if you’re paying out of pocket). They are more than happy to diagnose issues with your car while they think you are paying out of pocket, but quickly backpedal when they find out the parts are covered under a warranty. Twice I’ve had to open a case with the Volkswagen regional headquarters so they would assign a regional manager to follow up with the dealer just so they would do their job. The only employee that is somewhat helpful and considerate is Mike, the service manager. I hope in the future they improve upon their customer service and rise to the quality of service one would expect from Volkswagen.
I highly recommend shopping here. My Fiance and I were on the verge of giving up until coming here. Peter was our salesmen and he was absolutely great. He helped us so much and taught us about things we didnt know. He didnt pressure us to buy like some other places we had visited, and by the time we were done, it was as if wed known him for years. I came to Island Volkswagon to get my first leased car. The associates were very friendly and not pushy at all, which was plus. My salesperson, Maria, was wonderful. She helped me to stay in my budget while still getting a fully loaded vechicle. She broke everything down for me to easily understand, and she even went above and beyond to locate the specific color I wanted and drive to get it in NJ. She was ALWAYS available to help and gave me an excellent first experience at a car dealership.
The service department totally rejuvenated my car. I was very concerned because a leak had caused my driver side to take in water and we didnt notice until the car smelled like mold. The service team was very responsive and professional and tried to make sure all my concerns were addresse . The repaired everything and we were do surprised rhat the entire smell was gone . It was like we had a new car.Not only that but they thought it was going to take longer and they surprised us and had it ready 2 days earlier.I wont deal with any other Volkswagen dealership and now their service as well .
The rest of these reviews are all BS. I got treated with great service as soon as I walked in. They were very attentive as well. I went in looking for an economical and also affordable used car and I walked out with an ear to ear smile on my face! The managers Jimmy DeMarco as well as Omar Sabla treated me with the best attention. They made everything super easy for me especially dealing with a car purchase with an be so difficult at times. I couldnt be happy where I found my car. I would definitely recommend this dealership not only to my family and friends but to everyone that wants great service!
Went to see Al for a Jetta Sport this past week and he was beyond helpful. Answered every question I had and reassured me there was no pressure to buy. In the end he got me such an amazing price I couldnt refuse and I got into my new car! I couldnt be more happy with Al and the whole Island Volkswagen team, from sales to service!

OK absolutely had to write this review because this was the easiest car buying experience Ive ever had (and Ive purchased 7 cars in my lifetime).Submitted an inquiry online and got a call back from Stewart who was super friendly and an outside-of-the-box thinker. I was looking for a 2017 but I didnt like the price point they were giving me so he offered a new 2016 (I carfaxd it. It was definitely new) and it worked out perfectly. He handed me off to a direct VW only sales person - Danielle.Danielle was fantastic and called me back right away and we agreed on a the price I wanted literally in minutes. Her manager was close by and she basically hollared over to him what I was coming back with and he said Done.Danielle was just phenomenal. I know this probably sounds too good to be true but heres what she actually did for me.1) Texted me pictures of the sticker info and photos of the car2) Took me for a test drive3) Patiently explained to me and showed me how to use the infotainment system (CarPlay, music settings, etc.)4) Offered me coffee but when I asked for tea, which they didnt have, she ran to a cafe to get me one just the way I liked it and even called me to ask which flavor I wanted (I wanted raspberry).5) Took all my info for the trade in and got my the price I wanted for it (minus a couple of hundred but that wasnt a big deal) and did NOT make me do the dreaded back and forth while she talks to the managers and try to insult me by giving me a super low value for my trade in. I really appreciated that.6) Offered to join in on the staffs lunch order lol7) Helped me take all my possessions out of my old car and put them into my new one8) Offered to drill holes for the license plate holder in my front bumper.9) May CarFax report showed a recall on the suction pump. I mentioned this to her and she had them replace it right there. It took a little while but otherwise, I wouldve been out of there in a very short time.The General Sales Manager, Lamore, was also very helpful and reasonable. He accepted an email of a fedex label and photo of the check as proof enough to let me drive away with the car.Finance lady Michelle was also nice. Not pushy at all and just walked me through signing the necessary documents. No hard sell on anything.I am still in shock that this whole experience went so seamlessly. I would definitely recommend this dealership and especially Danielle to anyone looking for a great price on a new VW.
My experience at Volkswagen was great. They are very helpful and give great costumer service. My sales associate was Besa. She has a great charisma. Very energetic, extremely helpful. She only looks out for the best interest of her clients. I would strongly recommend her.
I just purchased my vehicle from this dealership on Monday. I must say, I have purchased alot of vehicles & been to alot of dealerships. I went in expecting the USUAL fast talk, pushy, rude treatment that I am used to from every other dealership. This was the COMPLETE opposite. From the sales team, to the manager, to the finance guy . . . everyone was pleasingly pleasant & professional. I went in with my 10 year old daughter. They were BEYOND accommodating & such a help entertaining my daughter for the time I was there. A big thanks to Mike, Danielle, Lee & Finance. ALL AMAZING!
Great experience at Volkswagen. I was skeptical at first to go straight through a car dealership to get my new car because I have ran into problems in past. My salesman, Thomas Decanio was extremely genuine and polite. What an enthusiastic young gentleman! He understood that buying a new car can be a stressful experience and he was patient with me throughout the whole process and just helped me find what car was right for me and at the best price possible! Couldnt thank Thomas and Volkswagen enough for their professionalism. Now off I go, vroom vroom!
I am always skeptical about car dealerships - PTSD from past experiences, I suppose - and have entered their service departments with a wary eye. Given that, it says a lot about Island VW that we are committed to crossing the Verazzano Bridge to make sure they are he ones who service our daughters Jetta.Most recently, my daughters car needed a new transmission - a nightmare in the best of circumstances. Island handled everything beautifully. It took a long time to get the work done, but that was due to the nature of the work, not I.VWs skill. Jimmy and Mike Alvarez kept us constantly updated, answered all of my questions even ones I am sure they thought were a little silly, and addressed every little question my daughter had when she picked up her car.This has been their consistent approach to all the work theyve done for us . Even when there have been issues, theyve been dealt with professionally and swiftly and all with a focus on making sure we felt confident in the work they were doing. The cherry on top, and actually the most important thing, is that my 23 year old daughter feels she can call either Jimmy or Mike at any time to ask questions about her car and whats best to keep it running and feels confident they will be honest with her.
My first experience at Island Volkswagen is one I will never forget. As soon as I walked in I met one of their salesman named Thomas, and he was extremely helpful. Island Volkswagen is a very well run dealership and I did not work with any of their other salesman, but I can guarantee if you work with Thomas he will make the car buying process extremely easy.
I recently leased a new Volkswagen Jetta here and had an excellent experience with the entire sales staff. I dealt with Rich G and Rodney in sales, they were both pleasant, happy, and helpful. The management team of David and Nick were friendly and accommodating as well, with out being too pushy. I really came to look at and test drive the Jetta, but they gave me a good deal, and had me in and out pretty quick, so I could still get to work AND have my new car! The finance manager, Joe, was courteous, thorough and considerate to my time restraints also.
Jerry was Very efficient. Only downside in my opinion is the lack, there is no customer service lounge, they had very to little to no coffee options. They also only serve half bagels?!?!?! They should have much other options. Teas. Flavored coffees. Fruits. Muffins. Also the customer service longer should be situated much better. Other luxury dealerships have customer service area which are situated as a living room type atmosphere. The reason I’m saying luxury is Volkswgn owns Audi. If you go into an Audi dealership you can see how their lounges are set up.
The entire staff is friendly. The sales person I dealt with is Maria Ruiz. She is one of the hardest working, dedicated sales people they have. She was very knowledgeable, personable and diligent in her search for the vehicle I was looking for. I would highly recommend her to any one looking for a Volkswagen at Island VW.

I traveled out here from eastern long island just to get a car the salespeople were more than accommodating and I ended up buying a car that day. With all the nonsense I had been going through it was a pleasure that Gerald the salesmen at the used car lot cut straight to the point and was upfront with everything. I ended up buying a 2012 GTI and am completely satisfied and would recommend this dealership without hesitation.
Went there for their Black Friday deal which was a total scam!!! They offered $2500 off any car if you purchase between the hours 7-11. I got there promptly at 8AM and later realized it was a scam. I talked to the manager on duty whos name is Tim and his response was that the money was already taken off the car.... After an hour of nonsense I left. That day I went across the bridge to linden Nj and they offered me $25 less a month for the same car exact car!!!! Iwould recommend anyone buying a car to go across the bridge to another location because this location is a scam. Even though I did not buy my car here- I will be back to service my car when needed. Good luck to everyone and steer away!!!
I️ don’t usually ever write reviews mainly because my schedule. like I️ pass up again when I️ purchase my Vw a recently but the follow ups been tremendous from the start even still to this day that I️ just had to. Questions and concerns I️ have about my Vw Passat and it always been easy to contact my sales guy Andrew, Oh yeah and not to mention the complimentary car wash he promised after my delivery on a rainy day. Overall Great experience. Would definitely recommend Isand Vw to friends And family and make sure they see That guy.
