Nice sized buffet tables with a good selection. Theres a Mongolian bar that I have never tried but there is always a line. Small selection of sushi, bigger selection of desserts including soft serve ice cream. Price went up for lunch to $10 but still a good deal.
Food is cold and toss salad is no fresh. No cleaning or disinfect tables after been used by others. Bathroom and restaurant walls needs repairs.

While they might have a broad choices of food and iconic Chinese cuisine once you get the food and look your plate you are discusted with amount of oil the food has and the place has a 2003 vibes and its pretty run down

I would give a zero if I could. I used to love to go here years ago. We went not long ago and it’s become so run down. The ceiling tiles and cracked and pieces missing. The tables are sticky even after they are washed. The walls are gross. Half of the lights don’t work. The food was cold. We should have left as soon as we sat down!! Overall it was beyond disappointing!!!

Very food when it is not stale. Some good fried shrimp and surprisingly good sushi and spare ribs. Now they charge you extra for ice cream.

Disappointing experience, some of the food was fine but most wasnt good, the clam soup was disgusting, the crabs was very bland. The place is extremely outdated and not clean at all, the seats are litterly taped up! There are also bugs lurking in this place and its disgusting and the grill is just straight up dirty.
I enjoyed my food it was good. My hubhy didnt care too much. I had a taste for a variety of Chines3 food and ut did hit the spot. I would go back.
Needs renovation, urinal in bathroom broken for like 2yrs. I am personally disappointed by dogs in the dining area. People claim they are their needed service animals but there was two people there helping this person.

Ive come to this buffet for many years. Food is pretty good but my favorite is the hibachi area where you pick what food items you want cooked to your liking. The down side to this place, is that its run down. The ceiling is falling apart and the walls are horrible. They have areas with rug carpeting that look dingy and dirty. The tables are kind of sticky. They really need to invest in this place and do some much needed renovations.
If I could give no star to this buffet I would do itThe food is COLD and there is a very small variety. Sushi is one of the worse I’ve had in my life. I would not recommend to anyone to come here. The place itself it’s not kept well so it makes it less pleasant to enjoy your meal. The carpets in the walls makes the place disgusting and muggy. Another thing that I noticed is that the plates are all wet and not well washed. Just stay away from this place.

Place is very ran down, seats are worn, tables need to be refinished... the bathroom was dirty and wrecked. The food is ok. The place needs a nice remodeling or freshen up. And the people that serves your drinks can be very rude.

The food was delicious as always but customer service was horrible. The waitress was rude from the very beginning....this is not the 1st time there but it the 1st time I saw such terrible service...still not not sure what set it off...will try to find another buffet dining.

Is a great place, they have good customer service and great food. the thing that I was sad that they didnt have was roasted duck but overall a great experience. Highly recommend
Oh man, I just couldnt bring myself to rate lower.13 years ago I had my baby shower here, the food was delicious and the staff was on point. I went yesterday and the chairs are being held together by duct tape and the table was so sticky even after the waiter cleaned it again in front of us. The food was meh at best. Im sorry to see its gone down hill

Food was good. Price was good for lunch. Some of the employees were rushy & rude. The inside, especially the back room, is all water stained & moldy. Stains & mold all over the ceiling as well as the walls. Very run down. No more soft ice cream machine. Not planning to ever go back.
Decided to come here on Valentines day since me and my family havent come here in so long. Much of the food seemed very old and dried out. The old owners definitely are not here anymore for how much has changed. Ps avoid the bathroom! Seen better bathrooms in a Harlem gas station
This buffet was generally okay. I didnt honestly feel like it offered anything that was unique compared to other Chinese buffets, but what they did offer was diverse and reasonably good. The staff here were generally nice but a bit distant, and at times hard to fine. There was nothing exceptionally wrong here, but they also didnt impress me beyond any other buffet.
Food was alright, workers just seemed more in a rush to get you out if they give you the bill in the middle of your meal.
Many of the items out were cold and soggy. The sushi was left out for a extended period of time that the rice was dry. The cooking bar staff was already off at 6 PM. I had read good reviews but with my own experience I wouldnt recommend nor give this place another chance.
The food was good. My family had good time, I saw so many negative reviews but I guess it all depends In what chef is in charge that day because, the taste was really good for us. My only complaint is the bathroom which should be fix.

This place has A LOT of seafood, so if you’re into that you’ll enjoy it and/or wanna take the risk! Other than that the food is mediocre. As far as a Chinese buffet is was a little more expensive ($18 for the dinner price)...Unfortunately, this place had much better food but I guess they fell off.Downside is the chairs/table are worn and the place as a whole seriously needs an upgrade. (It used to be an old Red Lobster and theyre still using the furniture.) For the record, I haven’t been there since I was a kid & and still looked exactly the same.....Yikes!
A negative is a better rating. This place is absolutely disgusting. It is FILTHY. The tables are sticky. The booths are held together with duct tape. The floors are unkept. The bathrooms are repulsive. The food looks like it’s days old and tastes awful and hard. There is not a big selection of food and it’s overpriced. I was so grossed out that I didn’t even go up for a second plate and I didn’t want my child eating anything. I will never return here.

PLASTIC FOUND IN FOOD !I was eating here on July 14, 2019 and I almost swallowed what seemed to be a plastic in my food.I brought this up to the server. They simply apologized but no further action was taken. I was forced to pay for the food nevertheless, and they did not go investigate if there were further contaminated food. It seems as long as they make their few bucks they could care less about an individuals health.Never coming back which is a shame, I’ve been coming here periodically for the past 3 years and they’ve had issues but never one where they completely neglected their customers health for a few bucks.
This is a typical Chinese style all-you-can-eat buffet, with various trays of different specialties. The soft ice cream machine has been taken out of service and replaced with individual frozen cups of vanilla, chocolate or strawberry ice cream. The food was good and plentiful. However, the tables, chairs and floors could certainly use a good washing and scrubbing.
The food quality and variety are good, not everything in the buffet is specifically chinese food so youll also get some Americanized plates. The staff are quick to get service done and courteous. Overall, its one of my preferred dinner spots in the area.
This place is actually awful. Almost no selection of food and it tastes terrible. All of the food here looked like its been there for days. Usually at a buffet you cant wait to go up for more, but i was dreading my next plate. The $15.99 a person was definitely not worth it. I think if i had a choice of eating here or starving, Id starve. Place is disgusting and dirty. Also this place has no atmosphere. You just sit there in weird silence as you hear the sound of silverware hitting plates and the loud obnoxious humming of a soda machine. I do not recommend anybody going here ever. If youre hungry in the area just stay home take the money you would spend on your meal and just blend it and eat it, because youre better off. If i could give it under 1 star Id give it a -12.
The worst place I have ever eaten at in the United States. I havent even encountered such a place in a third world country. The food is cold, dry and old with a very poor selection in food. The furniture is broken apart and repaired with duct tape, paint is chipping and chandeliers stained with food residue. Management is careless and staff is rude and unprofessional. A terrible night out and awful place to eat!
I really enjoyed Islandia Buffet. The food was refreshed very often and it all tasted good. I dont agree with any review that says things were dirty or greasy. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The food seemed fresh and nothing tasted or seemed bad. I definitely want to come back and enjoy this place again.
Where do I start? The bathrooms are disgusting, dirty and in disrepair. Most of the food in my opinion is not edible. The sushi was old and discolored and wouldve most likely gotten someone sick. Generally, the food didnt taste right and made me nervous to even swallow it. The tables are sticky and the seatbacks were covered in duct tape to cover the holes. I cant even imagine what its like in the kitchen. If I couldve given this place no stars I would have. Youve been warned.
Food is great....!!! Service is terrible...!!! Chairs are sticky and have not been degreased in years...!!!Server stood at our table towards the end of our meal. I waited until you moved and pulled out my credit card. As soon as she saw the credit card (CC), she runs back over to our table. I was getting up to pay the bill at the front desk as always. She is behind me and asks if I can move so she can pick up my CC. I told her to be patient I had to put on my glasses, place my wallet in my purse and then retrieve my cell phone off of the table. The server violated my personal space...reached between my arm and took the in food bill and credit card off the table. As I turned and looked at her she says (traditional Accent)...Tine to pay now...I just looked at her and shook my head. Never eat there again....Never again...!!!
This place is absolutely disgusting! What a disappointment. Years ago this was my husband and my favorite buffet, its been a while but we finally made it out here and gave it a try for the first time in about 4 years. We were so grossed out by how dirty the carpeted walls are. Why would you carpet walls anyway? The upholstery on the been hes have been torn and taped back together with red duct tape. Some of our favorite foods werent offered anymore and the sushi looked rancid. The salmon sushi had a dingy beige-pink color to it, yuk! Not only that but their price has increased significantly since the last time we were here. Geese, take the extra money and clean your restaurant!. Will never come back, Im so grossed out right now!
Me and my family used to go to this place years ago, so we said lately to go again, it was the worst experience in my life tables stickies not clean at all, food cold not much variety and it seemed old, I will never go back in my life, bathrooms men and women very filthy, I asked someone from the workers to clean the table he did it with a filthy rag.Please do you self a favor do not try it.The next day I was throwing up my wife and my daughter same issue we all got sick.I felt bad the next day that I left $10 gratuity, they didnt deserve it
After customers left the restaurant, they didnt sanitize anything. Didnt hand out plastic gloves, we had to ask for them. Most guests werent wearing gloves at the buffet
Ive been here many times and i like it here!The food and deserts are very delicious but i have tried the pizza and it doesnt really taste like pizza to me but, this place is really nice and the staff doesnt seem to bother anyone which is fine for me because i dont like getting bothered! I would recommend this place sometimes! Really great!
It’s a shame there is no “zero stars” option. This place has the most disgusting food one could ever get at a buffet. No spring rolls? No desserts other than small containers of “ice cream” that you get in a hospital? No chicken wings? No crab legs for dinner prices? Rude servers? This place used to be called the New Grand Buffet years ago. I think the name Islandia Buffet is a bad example of what Islandia has to offer. Save your money, this place is horrible.
Wish I wouldve been able to rate 0 stars. Havent been here in approximately 10 years, gave the benefit of the doubt to try it out. Food selection was laughable. Crab legs had like no meat and the water had an alkaline taste.
Classic Islandia buffet. This is a location that on first thought might seem awful. Reading all other reviews, which were quite mixed. Some with very offensive thoughts, that can really keep people from coming through the doors. I have not been here in about six years and on that note a lot has changed. The decor and appearance of the place is awful. Condition of all furnishings and lighting fixtures leave much to be desired. This being said; all the food was fairly fresh and tasted fine. Nothing offensive in the way of the food. The main issue, is you are only allotted one napkin per customer. My guest I was with,was displeased with this. As for myself, it wasnt the worst, but did leave me wondering. Is there food on my face? All in all very much worth the 10 bucks on a Wednesday at 3pmish.
This place is a great Chinese Buffet. If you expect it to be upscale or something youll be disappointed, but they keep the food bar well stocked and offer quick service for a busy area on a weekday. Not the healthiest thing because I usually eat too much, but I keep coming back! One thing that might be nice would be if you could do your own drinks at a soda fountain. Its funny that is the one aspect that is not self-served. Not sure why. I understand for hot drinks tho.

This place is not what it used to be. Food was mediocre at best. Service was great, staff was very friendly. The ladies room was almost as bad as a gas station bathroom, strange odor and plastic tubing coming from the ceiling appears to be for drainage. Wont be going back, dinner was 15.99 and a drink is additional cost.
80 dollars for 3 adults and 2 kids and five drinks the crab legs was really small and they only put out a little bit at a time the food was not hot at all the broccoli was not soft it was like chewing on a branch they had no fried chicken the crawfish was really spicy not a big selection on food . I wont be back here again not worth the money being spent . Being that i cant post without giving a star cause they dont deserve a star they only get one
Have been going for years and used to love it. Went a few days ago and actually asked if it was under different management because of how horrible it was. Food wasnt good, my 2 yo who usually eats everything wouldnt even eat the chicken nuggets. The waitress was nasty, and when my mom asked if she could have another spoon the waitress pointed to where they were to get it herself. Gave us the bill, my mom put money on the tray and to the side as we werent done and the waiter came over to grab it and hit my moms cup of lemonade and knocked it over spilling all over me, my pocketbook and chair. Did say sorry and came over with 3 napkins for me to clean my self and pocketbook only after he made sure to take the money first. Wiped the chair down with a wet washcloth and left, which I than had to dry myself so I could sit until my daughter was done with her ice cream. Will not be going back.
We came here for dinner and the potstickers had bad meat in them. The bite was horrible. When we broke open others and smelled them, you could smell the bad meat, we told the staff and they said okay and left the rest there for other customers.

This is somewhere you might want to stay away from one of my friend took a bite of a stuffed Shrimp and saw a big fly in it, I am sorry I did not take a picture.What made it worse was the manager came and offered us a 5 percent discount that’s nothing plus no remorse on the fact that a fly was inside the shrimp. Never have I been to a restaurant that was so dirty and disgusting. The vents have black soot-like residue on them and the carpeted walls(yes carpet on the walls...) are bubbling from clearly a serious moisture issue. Come to find out they were covering up what looked like a leak that soaked the carpeted walls with paper menus stapled to the wall! It looked just like black mold! After complaining to management they refused to give us a refund, but dont worry the department of health is already on the way after a phone call! Karma sure is sweet!
Many years ago, this place was PACKED and you often had to wait 30 minutes or more to get a table. No more. The bad food, stale decor, and general uneasiness about the quality of the food have scared away anyone who values their health.The Mongolian BBQ used to be amazing. You pick the food and they cook in front of you a huge circular grill with long chop sticks. The huge grill and chopsticks have gone, replaced with a steel grill and surly operator.I hadnt been there in years, but I was in the area and I figured Id give it a shot.My bad.Dont make the same mistake I made, give this place a pass.
This place has the food that speak for itself.You come in hungry and walk out full with smile on your face. Delivery and take out only for now and it’s still with buffet style. Pick 3 item come with rice or noodles and soda or soup for $12.95. Order available from UberEATS, Grubhub, Doordash.
Food is okay nothing exceptional, for years not much has changed. I go here once and a while because there’s no better options locally. There are better buffets that will surprise you in Deer Park, West Babylon and Levittown.

Went here with my family last night,The food didnt taste fresh more like it was cooked days ago then reheated again,The chicken was so dry and nothing was hot. The place is dirty inside, it used to be nice but not anymore. Last time I was here with my wife and son, the waitress would watch us like a hawk. They hand you a bill when THEY think you had enough food as a nice way to say youre done eating, get out.

Filthy, disgusting, quite probably the worst place Ive ever eaten at. A number of booths whose vinyl is duct taped together, water damage on the walls, bathrooms as dirty as a subway, and the food was just nasty.
The main course meals are well-prepared. The only issue was the dessert. The ice cream tasted slightly watery, and the desserts generally under-par. Good, but nothing spectacular.

My whole family got sick. Everyone had to either throw up or the runs and we all had different foods. This used to be a great place when I was younger but its terrible and run down. The place has a odd smell as well as the tables are too close together.

It mightve been bad timing on my part. I came in as they were switching over to dinner and everything was cold and stale. The sushi wasnt at all fresh and I lost my appetite not long after trying a few different things. I wouldnt recommend it
Dear readersI took the time to write this small article as a review, to inform you that the quality of food served at dinner is absolutely un digestable. Sounds to me like this restaurant is looking to serve left over overs at this time. From salad to shrimp to meets and others. All uncooked not well prepared. I came to a point where i doubed the water was safe. Do not be afraid to ask for your cash back, i paid $35 for complete garbage. Fortunately i spokey mind and recovered $20 from my $35. Please reconsider investing the gas money to get what you are paying for. Do not trust the staff, couldnt make a simple coffee. Untrustworthy staff if you want to make a good impression on a date do not come here.Sincerely J

Their food was horrible. I paid 10$ to eat string beans since it was the only thing that actually tasted like what it was supposed to be. Used to come here years ago and the look and feel was much better. 1 star for food quality.
Food is ok. Only got take out. Food was tasty enough and comparable to other buffets. Only one type of fish was available. Should have more fish options; not shrimp or lobster, but regular fish. Only option was broiled salmon. Otherwise I would rate a 4.
This place Is hit or miss.. Sometimes i go & Its Good & than sometimes when Ive gone.., Not so good : the last time just on Tue when I went I got Sick : (.. There Desert spread is A joke & They dont have the Soft serve Ice cream machine Anymore : ( Dont go at around 3:30-pm or 4-pm when They are Transitioning from Lunch to Dinner because Thats when Lunch items are Old and Not good (thats when I got sick) and Dinner isnt fully out Yet, so the selection is Lame! Go early between 11-am - 1pm for Lunch & Later after 7-pm for Dinner & You should be Good! All in All, the staff are Friendly & its one of the last Buffet places around So its a Decent place To get a Large meaL in a Laid back environment at a Low affordable Price : )
When you have a Hungry mans appetite and a poor mans budget, here is the place to be. Tempting dishes laid out in a row and you are hard put to choose. Just put a piece on the plate and if you like it , well you know what to do. Sorry no shovels aloud but if you play it right this dining experience can last you a few hours. Unfortunately, you just may need a row truck to remove yourself from the premises. Just saying. GETTING full has never easier or inexpensive. Your wallet breathes a sigh of relief as it doesnt have to strong arm you into keeping a maximum of bills on his side . Ready, set go.....set the new Pacman record! Ive been going here for YEARS and the food here is FANTASTIC. This is the best Chinese restaurant Ive been to, and Ive been to a lot. The chicken, broccoli, general tsao chicken, white rice, beef, and even the pizza are all AMAZING. I feel like eating some now just by typing out all this. 😊😣😊

But Ive been to crappy chinese restaurants in NYC and compared to them, this place isnt bad. The decor need a lil spruce up, the high ceilings have a lot of potential but then again this is a buffet and Im not here to review the decor..
This is not a buffet anymore. Last time I went they wanted to charge me more because I got shrimps. For that I might as well go to a better restaurant . Its not like him in the foot is that great anyways .

This buffet restaurant has great tasty Asian food and American food. they have my favorite soft serve ice cream and hibachi grill. The food is fresh and hot. The price is good and friendly service.
Very good food and quaint like smaller compared to bigger places but the quality sits where the quantity lacks.
Service was good, and the mongolian grill was good. Regular buffet food was sub par, tsao chicken tasted/felt like it was turkey gizzard opposed to actual chicken pieces. Ribs were basically bone, sauce, & fat. Wontons....OK. Vegetable fried rice sub par. Would not go back, especially at $16.00+ for 1 adult. Food did not upset the stomach as others have said, felt fine, might have been because stayed away from the buffet and used the mongolian grill.
Food poisoning waiting to happen , raw meat sitting out unrefrigerated , raw sushi that was so old it was curling and hard , steak from the station BROWN not red , crab legs so old they were glued inside the shell not to mention the oil they tried to call butter ... we were literally laughing at the account on who will get sick from the food first . Over priced and the food was disgusting . Never in my life would I return here my only suggestion , recommend it to someone you want to get a food borne illness 🤷🏻♀️ NEGATIVE STARS YUCK !

Food variety is wide and replaced constantly. Except some sushi has sat there for hours because some avocado in the rolls end up browning over time but very tasty and helpful staff

My boyfriends family and I have been going there for 3 years. For the first year the food was good, and worth the price, but the last time we went, my boyfriend got sick almost immediately after we left, and I was sick the day after, and we are completely different things. The booths are filthy, the tables and chairs are sticky, and theres mold on the ceiling and floor. Save your money, its really not worth it.

I brought a family member there from out of state and as we are sitting down a table next to us found a roach on table. We were so disgusted we walked out. Our money was requested back and only recieved 1/2 back. Will never return there again.

This buffet really has a great potential the food taste excellent everything from the fruits and desserts to the rice and seafood. Really loved the cocktail shrimps and the dumplings went delicious with the lo mein.
I went with my mom and my brother and 2 cousins abd after i ate only 1 plate of food i started to have very bad stomach aches the ceilings are really dirty and the lamps some kind sumbstance after that expierence im now very paranoid about what i put in my mouth

I heard this place was good years ago and I went there with a couple friends, the decor was really old and it seemed icky, and some food was good and some other food wasnt, it tasted old. I wouldnt recommend it.

We were filing our plates when my daughter asked.me.what knd of bug was on the sushi ....it was a roach ....i tkld the hostess and she didnt seem surprised ... pickrd up the.tray and.walked to the.kitchen .. no apology nothing ... needless to say we left without eating ... she brougbt the tray with the roach to the kitchen !!!! Annd there is never just one roach. .. will NEVeR go there again
Went there and left when before the server came back with the drinks there was a roach crawling on our booth. God knows what we put in our mouth in whatever fast food place we eat but the situation is bad when they come out with all the noise and during the day
This Chinese buffet was the best at one point (15 years ago) but now its disgusting and falling apart. I dont recommend going here, a piece of the ceiling might fall into your food.
Their seafood is amazing, however there sushi is a bit warm they should ice it or tgw raw fish will go bad

2022-06-05Update: The place is completely run down. The tables bathrooms and floors are horrifically dirty (Im not sure how this place passes inspection). Lunch was $12 +tax, Diner is $19+tax (which is a rip off). The food was not good this time and everything besides the sushi (which Im guessing they get done next door) was bad including the sodas which were watered down. Wont be coming back anytime soon.Our family used to frequent this place 10-15 years ago, and for better or worse, very little has changed. The food was good, fresh, hot and frequently replenished (they had a surprisingly large assortment of Sushi for the price). They even had enough variety to accommodate people on a diet. However, aesthetic wise, like others have said, the place is just run down. Its the same sticky chairs and tables that were there when I was a kid, the booths are beyond beat up at this point and overall the place just needs an update/deep clean desperately. That being said, I dont eat at places for the interior design, I eat there because the food is good, the service is decent (I was seated quick and the table was cleared quickly), and its affordable. Its hard to complain at $10 a person when other buffets in the area are charging double. If youre on a budget or prefer food quality over looks its fine, I just wouldnt take someone here on a date or business lunch. Easily a 5 star review if the place was just cleaned and neatened up a little.

2018-11-06Excellent alternative if you have chronic constipation. Went to bathroom and heard two people making joyful noises behind doors. We were here years ago and remember it was good back then. I just created a label on Google map Dont go! to remind myself.

2022-02-22We went for the 1st time n wont be back. The price per person was $20 dinner even though it was 12:30pm. The food wasnt hot n fresh, the table was sticky n dirty when they sat us down. They had no DINNER options like crab legs etc even though they charged us dinner prices. The guy at the hibachi grill made me wait 5 mins n didnt even acknowledge me til I asked him if the hibachi grill was open, which I knew it was. They had a BIG sign hanging on building saying lunch $9.99 n yet you walk in and they charge you double the price. BAD SERVICE, DIRTY TABLES N BATHROOMS N OVERPRICED FOR COLD FOOD.
