In the Town of Tonawanda this is a great place to enjoy the river. Beautiful park, nice boat launching. Plenty of parking, a bike path and very green. The only bummer was they shut down there food service bldg. Probably a Covid protection practice. Overall a great time to relax.
A peaceful little park down by the Niagara river! Plenty of picnic tables, but I didnt see grills. Not as much a place for a large group... its more for a single family. Lots of people hiking, jogging, and walking the pooches. Free parking, free to use the park. Theres a building that looks like it should sell hot dogs but it was all closed up. I dont know if that is permanent but it might be. Mississippi Mudds and Old Man River are just like a mile down the street, you can get your hot dogs, hamburgers, and ice cream and come down to Isle View Park. My favorite part is the Gazebo with the picnic tables on it... its right out on the water. Really pretty. Ill be coming back here for sure!
Nice place to walk, jog, ride or just sit. River is busy during summer months with boats. Path can get busy with people. Path is marked with walking area and two bike lanes. Most people will respect the lanes. Some walk 4 abreast. Remember bikers, yield to the pedestrians.
Nice place to walk or run! I snowshoe there in the winter. The lots are well kept year round. Closes an hour earlier than Niawanda Park (connected and next door). Thats weird, why not sync the parks closing times? Regularly patrolled by police from station on the other side of Niawanda. Been there probably 250x at night and Ive never seen anything shady going on, even in the unlit areas approaching the Grand Island bridge.
I think its an exciting location, in the summer the river is brimming with bobbing boats in the horizon, and I hear big fish are caught along this 1000 stretch along the Riverwalk towards the police station. Parking seems to be an issue, maybe they can set up a trolley and bring people here from the Tops parking lot!
Gorgeous view of the mighty Niagara river, Ive launched boats there for years, and the rare thing about it is, theres never a charge. If boatings not your thing theres a river walk that skirts the river for miles, just a great way get your exercise, and soak up spectacular views of the Niagara, all at once.
In my opinion the Isle View County Park is an extension of Niawanda Park. We are very lucky to live very close to these two parks. Isle View has places for the whole family. Its next to the river, picnic benches, restrooms, swings, slides..etc. the lists goes on. Plenty of parking spaces and boat launch spots.

2018-06-17First impression-very clean park. The planted flowers arent making it, but the wild flowers are gorgeous. The rocks in the water are also very pretty, and the waves are strong. Only down side of it is that there are so many moths around. Many benches around for those that always need breaks, and also bicycle lanes.

2019-07-02This park is not taken care of : Docks are broken, bathroom buildings are run down as well as worn picnic tables, over grown grass and empty concession stands. Stick to Isle view and other parks along the river .

2020-11-10A very peaceful place along the Niagara river. For those traveling towards Niagara Falls, it is in the last exit before the first bridge. It is not in Grand Island --Google map is confused because of cell towers. This was a photo from Spring: from the Tribute Garden.

2020-10-29Its A Fine Place to walk or ride a bicycle although riding a bicycle is tricky because many walkers dont obey the marked pavement separating walking and bicycle Lanes. These are so designated, to allow both groups to use the park safely, without interference from the other. Despite peoples entitlement to walk anywhere at all, bicyclists can really only ride on the path.

2019-01-04This park has great view of the Niagara River. This allows the avid picture taker to take pictures of the landscape that look like a pro took them. Paths for bicyclists and for pedestrians. Pet friendly and plenty of trash cans to dispose of your trash while your walking your pets. Plenty of park benches to sit and rest or enjoy the park. Kid friendly with a playground and bathrooms. Boat ramps to put your boat in and out of the water during boating season. Parking gets filled up quickly during the summer months so go early. If you get hungry during your walk, The Isle View Bar and Restaurant is close by on Niagara Street in Tonawanda. Great food and prices.
