Relaxing. Life guards keeping an eye on everyone. Food... A great little food truck style restaurant with choices for everyone. Had the mahi mahi sandwich plate. More food than I could eat! Drinks from water, soda, wine , beer & liquor! Friendly staff. The beach has a gazebo and a playground. Great place to spend a day. Very family friendly
Great place to bring kids. The small Beach is right in front of the parking lot. There is a lifeguard on duty at all. The food at the concession stand and pretty reasonable as compared to other beaches. They even serve wine.Islip senior citizens get in free with a pass from the town.
Its nice and quiet the only complaint I have is the food isnt really that good, the fries tasted bland and needed salt, I mainly tasted the sauce on the pizza and it was to crunchy, the cookies tasted like it mainly had more dry ingredients and less of the savory flavors like the vanilla and chocolate chips
The beach is the best therapy, except for long-distance cycling. Combine the two and you are only a mile from heaven. You can Google for directions. Okay, perhaps the Atlantic is more to your liking. Eat here, enter Robert Moses into your GPS and hit the waves. The bay is rather tame and perhaps lame for some of you. It is one level higher in excitement value than your bathtub. Alternative: Stay home ladies, draw a bubble bath for the tub, light some fragrant candles and down two glasses of wine. Okay, bathtub trumps the beach? You decide.

2022-04-25Nice quiet beach close by in Islip. Good amount of parking. More of a Bayside beach and not super sandy like an oceanfront beach. Lifeguard present in the summer months but you will also need a resident pass in the summer months to park or you have to pay. Also has a playground, restaurant, pavilion, and bathrooms. Great views.

2021-07-10Beach is free for residents....non residents are 10$ per person. Nice quiet small beach with a food truck. Menu is pricy for the location. Other than that a nice place to chill out for the day and grab a bite.

2022-05-10Great place just to enjoy a view of the Great South Bay. Is excellent for a picnic or just a sit by the water.
