I was very pleased and grateful for the treatment I had received fromIvy Rehab Physical Therapy in Northport! Mike, Pat and Shanice and the entire staff helped me make tremendous improvements and progress with my ROM. (I fractured my elbow that required surgery followed by extensive physical therapy) The facility is clean, organized and very welcoming. They have great equipment and I loved that they were so organized and kept me moving from one exercise to the next and every session was so productive ... never any downtime. I would highly recommend them!
Staff is extremely friendly and professional. We felt like family. In particular, Molly Schwartz is extremely helpful. My wife has cognitive and memory problems and Molly is very sensitive and accommodating. She always shows an interest in my wifes physical problems and looks for ways to improve treatment. We love her. Would recommend this facility to anyone in the Northport area.
I’ve been going to Ivy Rehab to recover from hip surgery and have had a great experience. Everyone here truly cares about you and your progress and will go above and beyond to help you with whatever it is you might need. I always look forward to going to rehab because of the welcoming and friendly environment they have created here. Special thanks to Mike and Heather for being the best and playing a huge part in getting me back on the field!
As a fellow healthcare provider, I felt at ease putting my physical therapy journey in ivy rehab’s hands. It has been such a carefree journey since the first phone call to schedule my appointment and my first consultation. Every staff member cares about your individual care plan and making you feel comfortable. From the front desk to the physical therapists and aides. Everyone is sweet, kind, and professional. I would recommend this facility to anyone. Thank you Pat and Mike for helping me on myjourney! You won’t regret your decision if you choose ivy rehab!
I had an absolutely amazing experience at Ivy Rehab, at the Northport location. Every single person there on their team contributed to this great experience, and was extremely professional, service oriented, and friendly. Special note for Shanice Carrington, my physical therapist, who helped me through a 6-month journey to recovery - I am forever grateful.
Ive been to Ivy Rehab before and now Im back again. I wouldnt go anywhere else, I trust the therapists & feel safe and comfortable in spite of these times in which we live (ie masks). Ive got a host of issues, various body parts affected, not the simplest patient Im sure. But still I feel Im in the best of hands and know Im getting the best care possible. VERY grateful to have this place right in my neighborhood.
Ivy Rehab HSS Center of Excellence in Northport, NY, deserves the highest of accolades! I recently had total hip replacement surgery and they played a critical role in getting me into shape both before and after the procedure. Ive received outpatient PT from coast to coast and they are shining stars in the field. Everyone connected with this facility is to be commended, from the helpful, patient, front desk staff, to the ever-attentive, supportive therapy aides, to the compassionate, professional and highly qualified physical therapists themselves. The Northport office exemplifies a true team effort in providing physical therapy. Im very proud of my progress so far. The surgery was three months ago, and Ive gone from feeling hopeless, with a heavy, useless, leg, to my comfortably, and confidently navigating the New York City city subway system just three days ago! Additionally, and of great importance at this time, is that the facility is well-managed, has excellent safety systems and procedures in place, and equipment and patient areas are frequently cleaned and sanitized. I feel safe here. If youre in the market for physical therapy, then look no further!
My IvyRehab experience was excellent. The entire staff from the front desk, P/T Assistants and Therapists were all friendly and professional. The facility was always clean and extremely COVID friendly, making me feel safe and comfortable during these tough times. My main Therapist, Molly Schwartz, along with Pat Patane were extremely knowledgeable, professional, friendly and I could tell they enjoyed and took pride in their work & patients well being. I was there recovering from a Total Reverse Shoulder Replacement and now feel fantastic. I am one who has had numerous Surgeries and been to 3 other Physical Therapy facilities. IvyRehab is by far the Best. Highly recommend seeing them for your needs. Regards, Ellen M. Friedrich
The whole staff is friendly and showed they truly care about each patient. They helped to relieve my symptoms of carpal tunnel with various treatments. When I started going I knew my insurance would likely not cover the cost of physical therapy long term. When it came time for the insurance company to review my case, the Ivy staff tried their best to get my insurance company to approve more physical therapy sessions. They were honest and let me know if continued PT was not approved by my insurance, I could still receive PT at a slightly higher cost to me out of pocket.
In March, 2012, I injured my shoulder. It started with a partially torn rotator cuff and nine years later progressed to arthritis which severely limited my range of motion. Heather has been working with me and my shoulder feels noticeable more free to move and reach. She is also helping me with an arthritic hip and her knowledge is extensive.I previously used them for physical therapy following two total knee replacements and I have wonderful range of motion with strong knees.Their professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating approach made the experience a pleasure. I would not hesitate to highly recommend them to anyone needing PT.
I had what I call a medium case of Covid 19. I had most of the typical symptoms followed by 5 days in hospital (without a ventilator) followed by a couple weeks on oxygen at home- but I survived!.The most persistent issue I had was difficulty breathing. My Pulse/Ox meter and I became constant companions. When I told Heather at IVY my problem, I remember her exact words, We can get you back to 100%.I was pretty skeptical. Climbing a short flight of stairs was leaving me winded... but lucky for me, I listened. At first the exercises seemed tedious and had little effect. After two weeks, I didnt feel any improvement. Fortunately my therapist, Shanice Carrington kept encouraging me to stay with it. Frankly, I was close to quitting but Shanice kept me hopeful and after three of four weeks, like someone flipped a switch (maybe Shanice), I was getting better. Shanice is awesome!I had my last session this week and I have to say, I am pretty close to 100%. Im exercising again and getting back in shape and I really have you and Shanice to thank for it.
I was referred to Ivy Rehab by my friend, Genevieve Higgins. She raved about the personal care, expertise and ease of making appointments.I called Ivy Rehab immediately after my doctor said I could start PT and Rebecca was caring, courteous and went above and beyond to get me in for an initial consult within 24 hours! Rosemarie is just as amazing and they always greet you with a smile! They are technologically advanced in that appointment reminders are sent via text and home exercises are uploaded to an app called MedBridge, so that you can access them at home! A simple password gets me logged in and my exercises are uploaded by Pat with videos! So easy to access and no excuses! My initial consult was with therapist Pat Patane and she has continued to treat me for the last four weeks. Pat is patient, caring, kind, knowledgeable and super positive!Mike Foster is also an excellent therapist and always has a smile, kind word and sincere concern for my well being.I sustained a severe ankle fracture with torn ligaments and was nervous about doing anything. The staff at Ivy Rehab gives me the support and self confidence to attain my PT goals and I leave with a smile and improvement after EVERY session.Jason, Nikki and Noelle are fabulous as well! They get me going with heat, set up exercises and are always there with ice at the end of a session.I HIGHLY recommend Ivy Rehab and look forward to ringing the bell and being able to run out of there on my last day of PT!!!Christine FinnChristine Finn
One of the few PT providers recommended by Hospital for Special Surgery - For good reason. Was diagnosed with frozen shoulder which is very debilitating. Heather has unmatched credentials and expertise. Just as important she and her staff are engaging and friendly and take their work and clients very seriously. I made swift progress under her care and am back to golf & swimming without pain or restricted movement. Highly recommend !
In my post COVID-19 quest for help, I came to know, appreciate and adore the Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy facility in Northport. The ill effects of the coronavirus left me short of breath, debilitated and feeling defeated. The Ivy Rehab Center welcomed me with open arms and I became their first “in office” COVID patient. The light at the end of the tunnel was one of Ivy Rehab’s esteemed physical therapists, Shanice Carrington. Shanice took the time to customize my physical therapy sessions aroundthe after effects of the virus and had me perform exercises designed to boost my lung and cardiovascular capacity. She continually monitored my progress and motivated me to push through and reap the rewards. Thanks to Shanice’s patience and persistence, I can walk up flights of stairs or ride my bike without having to catch my breath or reach for an inhaler. I wholeheartedly encourage other COVID “long haulers” to avail themselves to the trust and care of the Ivy Rehab Center and extend my heartfelt thanks to Shanice Carrington for all that you did for me. I am eternally grateful.I also want to give a special shout out to Mike Foster, Molly Schwartz, Jason and all of the office staff for your help and efforts. It is truly a team effort at Ivy Rehab and I cannot thank you all enough.~Stephen Jimenez
I have been working with the staff at Northport PT for the past month, following surgery that I received on my shoulder. The staff is Professional, Friendly, knowledgeable and are focused solely on getting you back to where you were prior to your surgery / injury. The facilities are clean and spacious, and I could not be happier with the care and attention that the entire staff at Northport PT has given me - I would put my name behind them any day!
I went to PT at Ivy/Northport for a torn rotator cuff/subluxation of my shoulder, that I injured in a baseball game. Pat Patane was my physical therapist. She evaluated my shoulder within a couple of hours of injuring it, and worked with me for weeks to get my arm patched up and in good enough shape to finish out my final high school season. She then worked with me all summer to get me ready for collegiate baseball. Pat has a ton of experience from working as a college athletic trainer, and really knows her stuff. I had a great experience. The whole staff was friendly and helpful. If you have an injury, especially a sports injury, this is the place to go.
Highly trained and educated professionals whose goal is to get their patients back to 100% strength and wellness. I have recommended them to many people. The staff offers individual support and guidance for exercise and treatment both at the facility and at your home.
I’ve been working with the folks over at ivy rehab for a few weeks now and they are fantastic. They are very hands on and have been helping me to diagnose the underlying muscle imbalances and pain I’ve been dealing with for the past year now. Not needing a script was a big plus for me also
I could not be more satisfied with this place and staff. I am a runner, or at least attempt to be one, and I pulled my hamstring. After reaching out to a local running group for recommendations, this place came highly recommended. I specifically requested to see Heather, as she is an accomplished runner. She is extremely knowledgable and experienced in her field. The same can be said for the entire staff. They are all personable, educated, and will challenge you to get the best results. The ladies who do the scheduling and billing are also extremely polite and helpful. The place is clean with up to date machines and equipment. I dont plan on getting hurt again, but if I do, this is where I will go. My leg feels stronger now than before I hurt myself. A big thank you to Heather and the rest of the staff!
I am beyond thankful for the staff at Northport Physical Therapy. I went to them months after sustaining a stress fracture (the second of two serious fractures in two years) because my cross country and track coach wanted to make sure that the muscles supporting my pelvis got stronger as means of injury prevention.Heather went above and beyond making sure that my hip was taken care of properly. She gave me exercises to strengthen my core and butt so that they would be better able to support my pelvis as I returned to running. More than that though, she gave me support and encouragement as I went through the process of getting back into shape. When I had other little aches and pains in my shins, for example, she gave me additional exercises for that. On another occasion, she watched my gait as I ran to make sure that I hadnt developed poor form in the time that I had taken off of running. Maybe her best advice at all was having me slow down in my training and restructure my plan when things werent feeling right. After the 2 months that I spent at Northport Physical Therapy, I felt stronger than I had in my entire life despite the fact that I had not exercised in the 4 months prior. That feeling allowed me to go back to school and run with my team with a new sense of confidence and hope that I would soon be able to race again after a long two year break.
These professionals are great and really know what they are doing. They helped greatly with rehab for my broken ankle and were recommended by HSS where I had the surgery. I highly recommend them. Their back office is also great and easy to deal with for apts and their billing is also great and they accept most insurances.
I could not be more grateful to Heather and her staff. I am a distance runner and triathlete. I have had multiple hip and knee surgeries, but I continued to have hip pain regardless. I tried MANY physical therapy and chiropractor places for years, and I I came to accept that I would be living with chronic hip pain forever. At 40 years old, thats hard to swallow. I was referred to Heather and Northport PT from the Hospital of Special Surgery. I was reluctant, but I gave it a try. After 6 months of the right therapy, I completed an IronMan distance triathlon and the NYC marathon within weeks and I did it for the first time in 5 years without hip pain. Some places can be very standardized and do not take the time to listen. Northport PT takes the time to listen and work to figure out the problem. That is a quality very difficult to find these days. They are worth the trip.
I had surgery for torn cartilage in my knee. I met with them a week before my therapy was to start. I gave them all of my insurance information. They assured me that even though they were not in my network that the cost would be the same. They would match what ever the cost was from my insurance company. THEY LIED!!!The day before my appointment they called me and told me they would not match the pricing. My insurance copay would have been $20 per visit. They told me I would have to pay $50 per visit. THEY LIED!!!! Now the day before my therapy is scheduled to start I must find a new therapist. THEY HAVE MADE A DIFFICULT SITUATION WORSE!!!!!
We were recommended to Northport Physical Therapy by our doctor at Hospital for Special Surgery. Our daughter had injuries related to soccer. She received one-on-one attention with direct supervision of exercises from Heather and staff. Her recovery was amazing. When she suffered another injury, we went back to NPT and received the same high level care but for a different problem with the same results. We have gone to other physical therapists prior but nowhere else did we receive this level of intensive, one-on-one care. I would highly recommend NPT for any of your physical therapy needs.
I recently had a hip replacment at HSS and needed Physical Therapy convenient to my home. Greg Fives at Northport Physical Therapy was recommended. I went to him for a consultation and was impressed with his thoroughness and professional manner. Northport Physical therapy is convenient and the staff was very accomodating to my schedule. I have been going several times a week for several weeks now and I am seeing excellent results with my recovery. Greg and his staff are attentive, knowledgable and good at what they do. His connections with HSS are a plus.
I am going because of a shoulder injury had surgery and the staff is very professional they take care of all my needs I improve everytime I go it is a very relaxing invierment I actually count on going the staff is like family and they always have a smile on there face if we were giving ten stars they would get that very happy with there services
When my teenager needed therapy after ACL reconstructive surgery, we turned to the staff at Ivy Rehab, and I am so glad that we did. Everyone from the therapists to the assistants to the office staff is always courteous, flexible, and professional. The therapists are thorough, responsive, and highly knowledgeable. My daughter received the high-quality, individualized care and treatment we hoped for. Although all the therapists were excellent, Pat and Molly were particularly instrumental in helping my daughter recover from an initially devastating injury. Now she is back on the field again. I highly recommend this excellent facility and its people, and I’m very grateful to them all!
Excellence so far. My son had an overextension of his hamstring during a warm up for a lacrosse game. He is learning to walk and run again. Kevin has been of huge understanding and great knowledge guiding him to strengthen his leg and become a better athlete, teaching him not just how to rehab but how to prepare to avoid future injures. Thank you to all at Ivy Rehab for always making us comfortable in your environment and for giving the confidence to my son that he will heal.

2022-06-20There are many reasons for this rating:Nick, the PT provider and manager is extremely proficient and personable. The aides are cheerful and knowledgeable. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. Finally, the facility is very clean. Their COVID protocols are taken seriously. For example, the equipment is wiped down after client use.

2022-08-09I cannot say enough great things about Ivy Rehab in Northport and if there were more than 5 stars, I would give them. The entire staff, including the assistants and people at the front desk, were so friendly and helpful and my physical therapist, Michael, was professional, knowledgeable, caring and thorough. Michaels expertise and treatment program worked so well on my frozen shoulder that I resumed my daily activities months sooner than my orthopedist had anticipated. I would highly recommend Ivy Rehab in Northport, NY to anyone who requires PT.

2022-07-29My experience at Ivy Rehab in Northport was a wonderful and rewarding one. I came in with lower back and leg pain. The PT sessions with Kevin got me to the point where I can do so much more during the day and sleep pretty much pain free at night. Kevin was professional, yet friendly; extremely knowledgeable; patient and listened to my concerns; explained everything every step of the way; he was supportive and positive, yet realistic and very well organized. Although I only had one session with Shanice while Kevin was away, all of the above attributes apply to her as well. Both Katie and Will competently assisted Kevin in my regimen. Both of them are very polite, kind and helpful. Lastly, when I first called to schedule an appointment, Rosemarie was so sweet and put me totally at ease. She remained a friendly, smiling presence throughout my sessions. All in all, I highly recommend this facility. Thank you all!

2022-03-16I have been through my fair share of injuries being a multi-sport athlete. I suffered a bad ankle injury during one of my seasons and if it wasnt for Pat Patane I wouldnt still be playing. To this day I feel comfortable squatting heavy weights and continuing to play at the level I was playing at. Pat Patane communicated well, and gave me clear instructions on rehab and exercises. She was tremendous to work with and I would recommend her to anyone, any age, any type of rehab. I am so happy I feel confident to come back from those injuries and feel 100% again. Thanks Pat!

2022-03-16I wanted to share the Pat Patane was the best PT person my elderly mother ever had. My mom had numerous falls and accidents over these last 5 years and she always requested Pat. She felt truly cared for by Pat and she was very comfortable and willing to do the extra work to get better because of Pat Patane. I personally brought my mom to several visits while vising from out of state and Pat was so professional and knowledgeable of exactly what my mom needed. She was friendly, kind and VERY patient with my mom who hates exercise but Pat was always able to encourage my mom to do her best. I cannot say enough words for how much my mom needs Pat Patane to always be at Ivy because she needs all the help she can get to live a quality life.

2022-04-28Kevin and the staff at Ivy are rock stars! I had three months of PT with Kevin after suffering a ruptured quad tendon. I was told that it would take 6-12 months to recover. After three months of PT I was back to 80% of my pre-injury functionality. Couldnt have done without Kevin and the Ivy staff.

2021-10-12The Ivy Staff has been very helpful, professional, and easy to work with. My experience there has been great. Everytime I leave there I feel like my back issues are getting better. Even more so, the next day after treatment.Heather is fantastic and I highly recommend her and the entire staff there when looking for a PT place.
