I was in the area for business, and, as I typically do when traveling, I researched the best places to eat and found good reviews for J&J. After ending a day a little early at the job site, a co-worker and I decided to go somewhere to set-up a mobile workstation and eat. I suggested we go here (which was about 10 miles in the opposite direction of our hotel). I had my mind set on a very simple dish (a sliced toasted poppy seed bagel and omelet to put between the two slices). J&Js has a special that includes an omelet, home fries & a bagel. No brainer, I went with that. Unfortunately they had run out of home fries so I suggested a comparable replacement or a reduction in cost to which the person I think to be the owner said no. Its not an exceptionally big deal but its horrible customer service. Maybe if I we hadnt passed so many other eateries and gone so far out of our way (20 miles rdtrp) to go to J&Js (for me, it was the draw of a really good bagel sandwich...lol), then it wouldnt be so bad, but it was a bad experience that couldve been avoided if some measure of a customer service perspective was undertaken by the owner. I truly hope my race (black) had nothing to do with his curt and uncompromising position...they didnt have a 1/3 of the items in their special yet insisted on charging me the full price without discussion or a sense of reasonableness.
They prepare your order exactly how you want them to. I asked for a chicken salad i ordered 1/4 pound also added avocados but asked for that and the italien dressing to be on the side. When it arrived to my house a couple slices of avocados were in a food container attached with a tiny container containing chicken and the other containing a good amount of dressing. The amount of chicken seemed to be tiny until i placed it out on the plate. I smashed it with the avocodo and spread italien dressing. Boy was that the freshest thing i have tasted in a while! It also filled me up but i also ordered a grilled cheese sandwich on garlic bread with turkey bacon and that was huge. It was bigger than a regular bagel bread. I could not finish the sandwich because everything else filled me up. The juice was also very fresh. Just what my body was craving! Nutritionally yummy food!!!!

This place by far is the absolute worst deli in Carle Place. Eating here is a major health hazard, they do not clean the kitchen or take care of any of their equipment. The food always takes twice as long to make than anywhere else and Ive gotten sick from the food. I do not suggest anyone go here ever.
Terrible service, terrible prices, terrible freshness. Would never go back such a turn off. Pay ten dollars for a sandwich and McDonald’s would give you more portion and even fresher food. Roaches crawling in the deli and watered down coffee
Had a hero sandwich, the bread was fresh like they baked it that day, the meat & cheese were fresh, the toppings of lettuce & tomato were fresh! Hit the spot!

2022-05-12I absolutely love the food here and order all of the time, BUT....today, my order came to me incomplete via Grubhub. It was missing a bagel with butter and the straw to my juice came bent and broken. Upon calling the store, a woman came on the phone and said that it wasnt her fault and of course, blamed it on the Grubhub driver. She would have sent me a replacement but when I asked for a new straw, she refused to put a straw in the bag!!! When I argued with her over a STRAW she refunded my bagel order all together and refused to deliver to me at all! So, for customer service, I give them only 1 star and no future orders from me. Sorry, J&J, but thats bad customer service if I have to argue for a STRAW!I never gave a bad review before, but this is the straw that broke the camels back!

2019-05-31I really like this little deli and juice bar. My partner and I were greeted with a smile. We received friendly service, and the food (bagel and egg breakfast sandwiches + coffee) was fresh, nicely prepared and hit the spot. Ive also had some very nice fresh juice blends here in the past. A clean and pleasant place for a quick, wholesome nosh.

2019-05-28Filthiest deli I have ever been in. No Coffee, no rolls.... floors and walls dirty, broken tile, walls in disrepair.. take a look at the butcher block behind the counter. Yuck! The guy working was good, pleasant. The bagel egg sandwiches were good to. It would be a goldmine if they could clean up the place a bit. Unfortunately Im hearing the same from others in our community that have been there.

J&J Bagel Store is Carle Place Is very unprofessional, not very friendly, the owner is not very nice. “He yells and curses at his customers”. This is by far the worst deli in the area. Avoid at all cost. I think that you can expect some sort of standard when you go to a deli to get something to eat. Unfortunately, the standard at this deli was very poor. Where do I start? Having entered the deli, the cleanliness is of the deli is ABSOLUTELY disgusting. Boxes all over, boxes of chips in the refrigerator (used as a display), refrigerators are very dirty inside. I will never go there again. It was terrible. Dont be fooled, this place has nothing to do with deli food or even a bagel store. The service was very poor.

2019-07-20Great customer service sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich is amazing. I personally am not a big fan of freshly pressed juices but I must say my wife loves it from here so I’m guessing it’s pretty good.
