Ordered food about 45 minutes ago and they said it got delivered but I didnt get anything so disappointed because Ive been waiting for my food only for the delivery man 1st to say he cant find a basic address then to say he already made the delivery .... get it together if you dont know whos out here delivering your meals to paid customers then you shouldnt be giving your food to grubhub delivery drivers
Delivery man came 2 hours later with my food bring high off what ever it is trying to tell me that it raining but it a 3 min walk from the store food was cold and the store dont pick up
Service is very underwhelming better yet none at all. Very disrespectful. Prior to finishing an order and addressing a customer request, they are quick to charge a customer. Everyone (meaning customer is not treated equally). Come on now 2021!!!!!! Discrimination!!!! Why?????They charge even for the air you take while you placing your order..... onions, a cup of water, bread with your soup, ketchup is counted, come on now....WARNING WARNING we try help our fellow New Yorkers, but these people need some serious CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RESTAURANT EDUCATION!!!!!!!!!!!
After going to this restaurant for 20 years They had delicious food and service excellence, , For the past few years We went back service not the same food was OK, I order today Soup and oatmeal the oatmeal was not close and everything spilled in the bag I went back and show them what happened, Instead of them bring me a new oatmeal they charge me And not even and I’m sorry , they tried to Insinuate that I open the container , Oh please it was only six dollars and they lost a customer
This place has the worst customer service. They see customers and just ignore them. I dont know why I go back to this place. Very rude! I would give them zero stars if I could.
Food is Fantastic however their customer service sucks and added on fees for onions when you order tostones or ketchup is ridiculous. They give you 12 tostones and give you 2 ketchups and for more its an additional $.50 cents, 12 tostones with 5 red onion slices and $.50 cents more for 5 more pieces of red onions. SMDH

I was sadly disappointed. I used to come here ALL the time when I lived a few blocks away. I came here 2 weeks ago, and the quality came way down. The relleno de papa had some mystery meat, not sure if it was corn beef or that mixed with ground beef...it was just nasty, same for the alcapurria. The canoa had that same mystery meat along with some dry mixed vegetables sprinkled on top of it. It was just gross. The people there had me waiting for 20 min AFTER they tooky order, the tables werent clean, the lady took a paper towel and put 3 drops of water on it to clean a table for me and my mom. I ended up spraying all ofy hand sanitizer all over the table and used my own sanitizer wipes to sit here. They were too focused on the gossip and talking about the customers. Note: avoid this place at all cost.

I travel far to pick up food here. The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is amazing!! I have never had anything not taste fantastic. Well seasoned and the portions are hearty.

Open for dining in. You order food at the service counter however, you carry your own food to the table. No waiters/tress... great flavor and prices. Street meter parking. Neighborhood is shady though.

Two Dominican workers were talking about me, some of them make comments about my appearance and said that his wife looks way better. I do speak Spanish and I was trying to buy food not go out with none of them!!!! Personal remarks and opinions about the customers should be done in private! Their behavior is highly unprofessional and rude!

Their food is amazing .. i been coming to this location since i was a child. the only complaint i have is i would never sit and eat here i would rather go pick up because the waitresses can be extremely rude and also work on their on pace. but besides that the food is pretty good
This Latin restaurant has great food, they have a nice selection of platters to choose from and if your sitting at a table to eat the service is also great. However, if your ordering your food to take out, well expect there to be a long wait time and a line which at times can be very frustrating which is the only reason why I gave them 3 stars.

Clearly the best Spanish Food restaurant in the Bronx to me. Ive been a patron for more than 20 years. Their roasted chicken and roasted pork are a delight. Professional staff, serving food that is always fresh. High sanitary standards. This is a non-chain restaurant.

The roasted chicken depends who seasons it can be poor to good. The customer service can be improved..when in use the ticket machine is an excellent idea. Overall, its a nice family setting and a great contribute to E. Tremont Avenue~☆
Worst place to eat at!!! They are very cheap with the beans they only give you one scoop of beans and expect you to eat the rest of the rice dry. They love to steal your money but they have poor and horrible customer service. One minute they’ll charge you $4 dollars for only rice and the next minute they’ll charge you $9 for it. This place need a lot of inspections because their meet is horrible. They are very inconsiderate

My family and I went last night to the restaurant. The pastelillos were dry and tasted old. The kids ordered bacon cheese burgers and they were burnt on the outside and raw in the inside even though they were to be well done, the waitress was less than accomodating.And the food was cold. I asked for a juice called ajonjoli and it was watered down to the point that you could hardly taste the juice flavor. And with all the complaints we received the bill which was still $98. I dont know but I have been to restaurants and something was not right and the least they do is discount something from the bill. It was a poor experience for someone who comes from Puerto Rico to see New York and spend time with family. Never again will I go to this restaurant and I will let everyone I know not to go there. Very Disappointed
Delicious food
Horrible experience. We had ordered for delivery they had told my mom that it will be a 25-30 minute wait. Ordered at 7:43pm then called again at 8:33pm they put my mom on hold for 20 mins then called again they put kept putting her in hold. She got frustrated told them to stop putting her on hold a woman hanged up. The thing is we never had a problem with j&j but they were very rude to my mother and the food never came as promised until I had to tell them to cancel already dealing with them for 2 hrs crazy. Their excuse was they were so busy and what they had told my mother the timing was not as promised now. A minute later a deliverer called and asked for my addressed I told him i cancelled he told me he was downstairs, we dint want it anymore we was way too frustrated already did not want to deal with it. So they had failed to communicate to their worker that it was cancelled.
Since young this was always one of my go to places and they are still making amazing food !! Thanks
I come almost every day , the food is the beeeest . But the servers are stank , and if u dont speak Spanish you will be skipped for someone who does. Ive seen them rub their faces and scratch their heads and fix your food with bare hands w/o washing their hands . And when you complain they catch attitudes 🙄. Buuut the food is great 😕

Nice restaurant, pleasant staff, never really sat down to eat but lovely ambiance, I dont eat pork but they were nice enough to clean the utensils after cutting up some pork before using it on my chicken, I recommend it for everyone!😃😃😃

I was referred to here by our friends and what a disappointment. We started off with blood sausage,alcapurria and bacalaito.the blood sausage was good the alcapurria was dry meat taste old and well if u want to eat a shoe sole try the fritter which i told waitress u could not eat and she replied she was gonna tell me but wanted me to decied for myself,,i would never serve something i know a customer isnt gonna be able to eat bc its dry and hard a rock,,which she didnt charge us for.. ordered pernil w white rice pink beans ,tostones,avocado...i asked for black beans which was then brought out bc she forgot,,The beans had no flavor and the pernil was way overcooked and dry such a bad flavor ..i hv to say atleast tostones were good. Sorry to say we stopped eating paid and walked out ,,this one is defiantly a No Go! Better off across the street at EL BOHIO!!

J&J is a hit or miss depending on whos your server. Their order in food is delicious but their ready made food is usually cold when served.

2022-05-22Oh God, this used to be a good place to dine in for Spanish food but the service is getting horrible. The new system is not working out. They didnt even had waitress and I understand because of covid but the service of the people there wasnt the greatest. And the prices are going ridiculously up. Not good at all. Come on, is rice and beans what we are talking about. Keep it good and traditional.

2022-03-30THE BEST Latin restaurant in the Bronx!I’ve been eating at this establishment for decades- and the food is absolutely phenomenal! Fresh ingredients, deliciously flavorful and fast service! The servings are large and you get a lot for your money’s worth. Hands down the best in the area! 👏🏼The natural juices are AMAZING! 🍍🥥 😋(If you order without ice, you’ll get more… and the juice will remain super concentrated!)The male workers and cooks are very professional and kind. Willing to accommodate your requests.But there is a female worker (who wears glasses) that is very rude and unprofessional. We were eating in, and she made us wait over 10 minutes to take our order. There was no one else eating in at the moment. When we asked what was taking so long, she commented that she was taking care of “real customers”- meaning customers ordering to take out. Seriously?!?!We were eventually serviced by a male worker who recognized her lack of proper etiquette- and apologized.If you can stay away from that cranky lady with the glasses, you’d have a great experience at this restaurant!

2022-03-29I wish i could give it zero stars the food was disgusting. We had a big party and out of 8 people 6 was just horrible . Pernil wasnt cooked right mine was red .chicharron de Pollo was hard as a rock . The only thing was good was the drinks rice and pastelles. The puerto rican owners who owned the resturant before had awesome food now its just not worth visiting ever again.

2022-04-03I give it two stars because the food is good and usually very fresh but they need to get it together with telephone orders. I called at 7:30am to place an order for pick up to only be put on hold for 10 then hung up on. After calling back and only put on hold 5 mins my order was taken and told 25 mins for pick up. I gave them 30, walked in and was told my order wasnt ready and I had to wait an additional 25 mins; no apology from the person who did not put the order in. I dont know how they do business this way.

2022-07-10I order a breaded steak it was the most nasty and it look like they sliced the steak so thin that all you taste was the breaded and it was so hard let me put it to you better you know when you go to the store and order a sandwich and they toast it with the machine and it comes out thin that’s the way it was . I have always order from there I mean on days I don’t want to cook never had a problem and another thing the lady that works there she is very rude.
